  1. Again Alec swung at the Boar and again he had missed and instead used his Battle Axe to turn the soil of the ground he fought on. The Earth was very soft and dug up here from all the times Alec had missed and driven his Battle Axe blade into the ground. Alec yanked his axe free of the dirt and knocked off the lingering grass clumps by smacking the flat edge of the  axe against his boot  to dislodge the  clumps of grass that had attached themselves to the blade. Upon cleaning his axe Alec eyed it up and down skeptically before turning it over in his hand to inspect it for damage. Finding none he shifted his grip on it. Then he took a few breaths to calm down before he tried attacking again. Once completed he took a step forward towards the Boar and swung his Battle Axe from his shoulder where it had been resting in a tight arc aimed at the boars muscled side.

Alec's tight arced swing was too tight and came up short if the charging Boar. The Battle Axe skipped and sparked across the ground as it dug a long furrow in the dirt between himself and the Boar. The Boar raced in behind the swinging Axe and slammed tusks first into Alec's chest and Breastplate. Again the impact left Alec's chest sore and bruised. Alec was beginning to wonder if he would ever be able to score the last hit he needed to end this fight. His future in that regard was looking bleak.

  2. Alec's last attack nearly decapitated the Matriarch Boar. "But close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades." Alec thought to himself. One more Hit that's all he needed. One more successful strike and this fight would be over. Alec repositioned his feet for maximum balance. Alec took a long derp inhale through his nose, held the breath for a long moment then slowly exhaled out his mouth to focus himself. He lifted his Battle Axe into the air and twisted the shaft in his hands for a better grip on the weapon. Then when he felt ready and centered. He swung his Battle Axe down throwing his weight behind the swing for "maximum effort" as his axe fell towards the Matriarch Boar.

Alec swung for all he was worth. Apperantly he had put too much behind the swing because his strike missed the Matriarch Boar and sank the crescent shaped blade of the Battle Axe deeply into the soft fresh turned soil of the battle field. As Alec again wrenched his blade from the ground the Boar charged in and slammed its body into Alec sharp tusks scraping off metal armored till they found purchase in the exposed skin of Alec's arm. The tusks drug across it and opened a slice in his flesh which expelled red pixels of life force and caused Alec's Hit point bar to drop again by one.

  3. Alec felt the fight creeping towards a close the Matriarch Boar's movements were beginning to slow and become sluggish. He had lost too many hit points and was waning in the last of her hit points. Alec could finish this with one two good solid shots. Alec heaved an expectant breath of air and savored its freshness. He hefted his Battle Axe in his hand feeling it's wright and balance. He shifted his feet for maximum balance and footing. He raised his Battle Axe high over head and swung it down in a downward chop designed to decapitate the Matriarch Boar.

Alec swung his Battle Axe down and connected firmly with the Matriarch Boars neck his axe bit deep but not derp enough to cut through the thick layer of muscles. A large gash opened and red pixels sprayed out the Boar life bar dropped to one hit point and began to flash an angry red. The Boar squealed in pain and thrashed violently. Slashing into Alec with its tusks opening another wound that leaked red pixels.

  4. Alec had landed another swing on the Boar he was whittling away her life points slowly towards zero another good solid hit or two should do her in for good Alec thought to himself. He knew he had enough hit points it was just the tediousness of the whole thing. It felt like he had spent an eternity locked in mortal combat with the Boar Pups and then their freight train of a mother. Keep at it Alec he told himself and he swallowed another breath of cool refreshing calming air. Alec again brought his Battle Axe high to achieve maximum momentum for his strike. Upon attaining the highest elevation he could with the axe he dropped his hip and swung the Battle Axe down at the Boar with every once of determination he could dredge up.

Alec swung the Battle Axe down at the Boar and connected with a solid strike to it's shoulder. The crescent blade of his Battle Axe opened another rent in the boars hide causing more red pixels to spill from the open wound as Alec pulled his blade free. The Boar squealed at Alec and shook it's head attempting to catch Alec with its tusks again but Alec moved out of the way to narrowly avoid being skewered again.

  5. Again Alec swung his Battle Axe and again he missed it. The Matriarch Boar however did not miss again. She had delivered another crushing blow to his Breastplate. This Boar hit like a Mack truck Alec thought to himself. She kept smashing into him and rattling him like an old pea inside a tin can bring shaken furiously. Amazingly his armor showed no damage from her relentless assaults. She just kept throwing herself at him. Alec had to image his torso looked horrible right now with massive bruising and innumerable cuts around the edges of where his armor covered. Alec let it all wash away in a cool calming breath. He hoisted his axe on high again and swing in downwards intent on striking the Boar square on the back.

  6. Alec's last strike had been perfect! The right angle, the right speed the right timing. Perfect and his Battle Axe had bitten deep into the Matriarch Boar. She was in the red now. Down below a third of her health. Alec was bearing the end of the Battle but he had to be careful. "Don't get cocky kid." he barked at himself and chuckled remembering another old movie from back home. He had to stay focused, had to make sure to not get ahead of himself. One thing at a time, one step at a time, get another hit one at a time that's how he'd win this fight. Alec took a breath of air to settle and calm himself. Then he raised his Battle Axe into the air and cocked it in preparation to strike. When he felt ready and prepared he stepped forward towards his for and swung his axe down in a fluid motion aiming for the charging Boar again.

Alec's swing went wide again missing the charging Matriarch Boar as his axe sailed over her head. The Boar did not miss however launching herself directly into Alec's chest again and again his Breastplate bore the brunt of the assault. Only allowing a single hit point of damage to get through again.

  7. Alec gasped for breath as he staggered about holding his chest and uselessly gasping for air. He regained his footing and stood feet spread apart and forced himself to slow down and take long slow breaths to reinflate his lungs. It took him several moments till he was able to breath normally again. Getting the wind knocked out of you was never fun he thought to himself. Once he regained his breath he moved his gaze to the Matriarch Boar and eyed her up and down. "Fair enough." Alec thought as he twisted his Battle Axe in his grip spinning it in his palm. Then he burst into a sprint towards the Matriarch Boar his Battle Axe raised above his head. Alec dashed forward and skidded to a stop as he came within range of the Matriarch Boar he swung his Battle Axe forward towards the charging Boar.

As Alec skidded to a stop he swung his Battle Axe around and connected squarely with the Matriarch Boar's chest. Her momentum coupled with his left to a devastating blow that sunk his crescent shaped blade nearly to the hilt. As Alec tore it free he was rewarded with a gigantic fountain of red pixels spraying from the wound. The Boar was not to be denied however as she thrust he head forward and up, her tusks scraping off his armor and finally finding a patch of unprotected skin on his arm that she tore a gash in leaking out red pixels as well. Alec was elated to see her health bar dip and change color from yellow to red.

  8. Alec staggered back a step at the sheer force of the impact from the Matriarch Boar. She had collided squarely into him like a wrecking ball. “What an impact!” Alec thought to himself with a smile inside. He could get used to this. Alec swung his axe a few times below his waist like a pendulum to loosen up his shoulder. It was beginning to get tired from all the swinging he’d been doing. No sign of his inward enjoyment was evident on his stony stoic face. Once his arm felt loose and limber again he drew the Battle Axe up over his head and took two swift steps toward the Matriarch Boar and brought his axe down in a mighty swing aiming for her left shoulder.

Alec's swing went high again and sailed over the shoulders of the Matriarch Boar as she lowered her head and shoulders for more speed. If Alec thought her last charge had some power behind it, it had nothing on this one. The Matriarch Boar slammed its body into Alec square in the middle of his chest. All the air was driven from Alec's chest and lungs by the impact. He was forced to exhale violently with a resounding "HHHAAAARRRRRROOOUUUUUFFFFFFFF!!!" and staggered back a few steps while attempting to maintain his balance. His life bar dipped another point as he looked up shaking his head slowly.

  9. "Thank you very much." Alec replied to the Blacksmith. "Tier 1 Materials would be excellent." Alec moved off to the side of the shop so as not to be in the way should anyone else come in and want to approach he counter. He crossed his large arms across his chest and leaned casually in a corner nodding approvingly as he gazed at all the marvelous pieces displayed in the shop. This Blacksmith was more of an artist Alec realized as smiled, his gaze drifting over various pieces approvingly.

  10. Alec opened his eyes after the jolting tumble he had just taken. His chest ached from the impact of the Matriarch Boar and his ankle throbbed from where he had turned it. All in all it had to have been a spectacular sight to behold. Alec spinning like a top flopping on to the ground then being railroaded by an over sized wild pig. Alec shook his head ruefully to clear the cobwebs as he stood up and brushed even more dust and dirt off himself. Thankfully there was no laundry here otherwise he’d have to spend all tomorrow just trying to get the grass stains out. Alec eyed the Matriarch Boar with a new found level of respect and admiration. “Ok.” Alec said to the boar “I see. Lets get serious then shall we.” With that Alec rolled his neck in a circle causing it to pop and crack numerous times. He rolled his shoulders forward and shook out his arms. He raised his Battle Axe high and let out a war cry as he charged at the Matriarch Boar charged with the righteous conviction of intended victory.

Alec's righteous conviction must have only been gas because has he swung his Battle Axe at the Matriarch Boar he let out a large burp which rumbled his chest and shook his arm causing his swing to falter and fly just over the Matriarch Boars body. "Oh my!" thought Alec. "That was a good one! Wow, now I'm hungry." The Matriarch Boar however was not impressed as she barreled on towards Alec and drove her body full force into Alec chest. Luckily she struck him square in the middle of his Breastplate where he had the most protection. The boars impact resounded like a gong being struck and forced Alec to take a staggering step backward to regain his footing and balance. Alec braced himself and prepared for another pass.

  11. Alec stepped into the Blacksmiths shop The Blazing Typhoon. He had heard very good things about this Blacksmith. Supposedly he was amazing at his craft which exactly what Alec needed. After his pitiful showings on his first few quests he needed an edge. He needed a weapon that would help him hit he had spent most of his last quest with his Battle Axe buried in the dirt. Not a good fighting style Alec lamented. As he stepped into the shop he eyed the weapons, armor and shields displayed prominently on the walls approvingly. It appeared he had heard right and this was the correct shop to find the Battel Axe he sought. He approached the counter and cleared his throat. "Good afternoon sir. I'd like to conscript you into making a one hand Battle Axe for me if you're willing. I'm still rather low level so Tier 1 is all I can handle but I'm looking for perfect quality if you're willing to spend some of your valuable time on."

"I can pay in Col of Tier 1Materials, whichever your prefer. That is if you have the time to assist me in my request." Alec stated. As he stood looking to the Blacksmith patiently.

  12. Having just missed his last swing and again damaging nothing more than the dirt at his feet due to the Matriarch Boar attempting a new strategy of tumbling and somersaulting around in front of him to distract him. Alec again pulled his Battle Axe from out of the dirt and brushed it off as the Matriarch Boar righted herself and shook here head from side to side to clear it from the jarring set of twists and turns she had just been subjected to. Alec looked at the Matriarch Boar and asked in all sincerity “Are you ready?” she didn’t respond of course but instead shook her head one more time pawed at the dirt and charged. Alec hoisted his Battle Axe like a baseball bat and prepared to receive her charge. As she neared Alec stepped forward with his leading foot, twisted at the hips and brought the Battle Axe around to meet the charging boar.

As Alec stepped forward to plant his foot he again forgot to account for the soft soil and many divots and rents caused by his numerous misses with his Battle Axe. As his foot set down on the ground in didn't find a firm purchase and instead caused his leading foot to twist on his heel sending him into a wild spin that left him performing an uncontrolled ungainly pirouette. That ended with Alec being deposited on his rear end sitting in the dirt again as the Matriarch Boar soared toward him at break neck speed. The Matriarch Boar connected squarely with Alec in the center of his Breastplate and sent a ripple of vibrations coursing through his body with the impact. The collision was so traumatic and jarring that it sent Alec tumbling over backward to land prone on his back several feet away.

  13. Alec felt a wash of elation roll over him. He knew he needed to feel nothing in order to succeed but he had finally knocked the Matriarch Boar down to below half her hit points! He was on the downhill slide! Now if only he could keep his momentum rolling and finish her off he could return to Lyle Tealeaf and complete this quest. Then he had some shopping to do for sure before he started his next quest. A Battle Axe with Accuracy was exactly what Alec needed for questing he’d never make any serious progress if it took him forever to kill a single mob. But that was an issue for later. The present issue was the enraged Matriarch Boar standing in front of him. Alec took a calming breath and raised his Battle Axe above his head and swung it down at the large female boar in front of him.

The boars momentum continued to carrying it forward but its stuck tusk caused its head to stop moving. The end result was the Matriarch Boar ending up in a tumbling turning roll that carried her well past Alec and caused him to miss with his Battel Axe and instead make another large gouge in the dirt in front of him. This whole battle sequence was beginning to become very comical to Alec and he could only imagine how hilarious it would look to any outside passerby.

  14. Alec picked himself up out of the soft fresh turned dirt spitting out mouthfuls of the soft finely ground soil. Pftu, pftu, pftu. Alec spat trying to get the taste from his mouth. Alec looked to the Matriarch Boar and if he didn’t know better he would have sworn he saw that rotten pic smirking at him. “Could a pig even smirk?” Alec pondered. The whole while sure that it had been a smirk he’d seen. Alec lifted his Battle Axe and twirled it in his grip centering the weight of the crescent blades in his grip. Then he hoisted the axe over his head and strode forward towards the Matriarch Boar to exact some vengeance on the creature who was just smirking at him. As Alec drew within range he stopped, planted his feet and brought the axe around in a side arm swipe designed to connect with the ribs of the boar.

The Matriarch Boar reared in protest and slammed her tusks into Alec's side scraping off his Breastplate and finally burying them into his side just below his armor. Alec leaked more red pixels from the latest wound and, gritted his teeth as he continued the fight.

  15. “Small steps.” Alec thought to himself as he pulled his crescent bladed Battle Axe free of the Matriarch Boars hide after scoring his latest hit on her. That’s what it was going to take small steps to reach his goal. With that thought resounding through his mind Alec pulled his Battle Axe free and brought it up in a large circle over his head. After his axe had completed an entire rotation he leaped towards the Matriarch Boar and brought his axe down in a straight forward chopping motions simple moves Alec told himself Keep it Simple Stupid. He thought remembering the old adage from his childhood. As Alec came down towards the Matriarch Boar he brought his Battle Axe down with him in his wake.

He just needed to increase the number of times he hit versus the number of times he was hit. Alec drew his Battle Axe free and raised it over his shoulder again. He took a deep breath and reset his footing on the soft fresh turned soil beneath him and once he felt its calming effect wash over him he sighted in on the Matriarch Boar and when he had her thoroughly gauged and locked in he brought his Battle Axe down in a swift fluid arc that should allow him to hit her with the blade.

  17. As Alec again pulled his Battle Axe blade from the fresh turned soil at his feet he was gored in the back by the Matriarch Boar again. These mobs really seemed more a nuisance than a real danger to him. He had to find a better axe he thought something with some Accuracy attached to it this one was really poorly weighted and ungainly. But Alec though he couldn’t blame his gear he had to work on himself as well. He had to get better so that he deserved better gear. First though he had to defeat this large sow in front of him. She was his next step on that road to self betterment. Alec hefted his axe and looked at it. “It’s you and me.” he said somberly as he gazed at the axe we need to work together on this and be a team. Can you be a team player?” he asked the axe. He hefted it a few more times to find the right grip then drew it over his head and lunged for the Matriarch Boar axe falling swiftly towards it.

"Almost half way there." thought Alec with a sigh almost there. The boar also took this as a renewed attempt and charged forward thrusting her tusks again into Alec below the protection of his Breastplate. Again Alec leaked red pixels from yet another wound as his life bar dropped again by anther point. His armor had definitely been the most valuable player this battle and he thanked his lucky stars he had chosen it.

  18. Alec stood from the kneeling position he had landed in after missing his attack with his Sword Art. He flexed his right knee and stood glaring balefully at the Matriarch Boar. He was trapped here in this world and she was the current manifestation of that which was keeping him here. She had to be destroyed to move on to find the next wall or object that held here so that he could smash that too. He would destroy all that kept him trapped within he would rage and destroy. He would become like his ancient ancestors the Vikings. He would draw from their strength and let nothing stand in his way. He would destroy and slat the earth of Aincrad with his passing. Nothing would stand in his wake. He would topple all. With that Alec brought his Battle Axe high again and targeted the Matriarch Boar with all his pent up frustration and anger. He roared to the heavens and brought his Battle Axe down with all the force of his ancestors behind it.

Alec's ancestors had fled from him they would not aid him in his call. "Fine then." Alec thought bitterly. "I'll do this by myself. I don't need you anyway." he spat. As he yanked the crescent blade out of the deep soft soil in front of. The reckless attack had left Alec wide open to a counter attack from the Matriarch Boar and she shot forward and buried her tusks into Alec back below the Breastplate he wore. The tusks opened a small cut in his back which leaked out more the red pixels which represented his life points. His hit points were slowly dwindling away but Alec cared not he had more remaining.

  19. After Alec pulled his Battle Axe free of the Matriarch Boar trailing a stream of red pixels. Alec threw his arms wide and glared balefully at the Matriarch Boar as he leaned forward and howled a roar of challenge at her. “RRRRRAAAAAAUUUGGGGHHHHH!!! Come, come to me and die he!” he projected at the Matriarch Boar aggressively. Then Alec jumped into the air summoning the power of a Sword Art. The crescent blade of his Battle Axe began to thrum and vibrate as the tell tale blue glow began to build in the blade. As Alec reached the peak of his jump he let out another roar of challenge and defiance at the Matriarch Boar. Alec crested the apex of the jump and began to plummet straight at the Matriarch Boar crescent bladed Battle Axe gleaming and hungry for her flesh. Just before Alec reached the ground he brought the axe down with all his force and power.

Just as Alec's was about to make contact the boar shifted to her left and Alec's blade buried itself into the ground once more the pent up power of the Sword Art fizzled away harmlessly and dissipated. The Matriarch Boar lunged at Alec and also missed goring him with her tusks. Alec growled as he wrenched his blade from where it had struck deep within the soft freshly turned soil at his feet. He threw the Battle Axe high over his shoulder and growled as he recklessly drew it back down towards the boar.

  20. Alec’s Sword Art had finally managed to land on the Matriarch Boar. Alec felt a flutter within his breast. A flutter of joy which he quickly stomped down and crushed. “No!” he growled to himself “Do no become engaged. Do not let it begin to matter to you. If you want to succeed that is how it must be!” Alec wrenched his Battle Axe’s crescent blade free of the Matriarch Boars flesh and raised it to the sky as if offering it and the “blood” it had drawn to the gods in sacrifice for their appeasement. Alec then brought his attention back down to the Matriarch Boar pointed the Battle Axe at her and roared in defiance as he swung the axe in a giant loop and lunged towards her air poised to strike.

The gods must have approved of Alec's offering to them because his Battle Axe flew true and smashed into her side and dug deep into her flesh. A red gash opened up in her side where the Battle Axe dug deep and red pixels flew from the opened wound. The Boar lurched in pain and dove towards Alec recklessly and missed in her ungainly lunge to strike him. Alec laughed bitterly at her and yanked his Battle Axe free as he prepared for another strike.

  21. Alec’s strike had struck true. He had hit the Matriarch Boar. Alec wrenched the crescent blade of his Battle Axe free of the Matriarch Boar with not a care for it at all. It wasn’t even real after all it was just a fancy cartoon in front of him. Alec gazed at the not creature with a lack of any emotion as he drew his Battle Axe again high into the air intent on sending it down into the Matriarch Boar again. This time though Alec paused. He summoned the power of a Sword Art. He was going to Hack it again. He was going to keep using Hack until he finally managed to make it work. He couldn’t rely on just basic weapon swings if he was going to destroy bigger mobs than this in the future. Alec waited for the power to build in the crescent shaped blade and felt the tell tale vibration reach its apex. Once it had peaked he paused for one more second then pulled the Battle Axe down towards the Matriarch Boar bellowing “DIE!!!”

Alec bellowed "DIE!!!" as the glowing vibrating crescent blade of his one handed Battle Axe flew arrow straight towards the Matriarch Boar. The thrumming vibration continued until the glowing blue blade connected with the side of the Matriarch Boars chest at a diagonal slant his Battle Axe then rebounded back into the air and struck the Matriarch Boar again diagonally in the chest forming a glowing red X across her chest from which red pixels poured freely into the air. Alec watched as her health bar dropped from green to yellow with the use of that Sword Art. Alec scowled a grim smile of satisfaction at the outcome. The Matriarch Boar squealed in pain and rage as she charged forward again and hooked her large tusk up under his Breastplate and opened a tiny cut in his abdomen leaking out another tiny stream of red pixels.

  22. The Matriarch Boar charged in grunting and snuffling aggressively after Alec’s failed attempt to use a Sword Art. He had left himself wide open to the shot and the boar had taken advantage of it and sunk its large curved tusks into Alec’s belly up under the Breastplate covering his torso. The wound that opened up was no larger than the ones delivered by the Pup version of this larger creature. “No big deal.” thought Alec maybe it’ll just take longer but the outcomes going to be the same as before. Alec spread his feet adjusting his stance so it was more comfortable. He raised his Battle Axe over his shoulder again and swung it down towards the Matriarch Boar scowling at it in contempt the entire time. The crescent blade of the axe streaked towards the Matriarch Boar.

The crescent blade of the Battle Axe swung wide and fell straight towards the Matriarch Boar biting deep into her side. She let out a sonorous squeal of pain and rage as a slash was opened up in her side and red pixels spewed forth from the open wound. Alec watched on as her Hit Point bar dropped a small amount.

As Alec turned he glanced at the banner over the creatures head. It read Matriarch Boar. It’s health bar looked pretty big too compared to the Boar Pups. Looked like it was close to half what Alec’s was at full health. Who cares he thought one more for the road pal. Alec hefted his Battle Axe onto his shoulder and strode toward the Matriarch Boar scowling at it the entire time. As he came closer the animal began to growl and snort more aggressively and scratch at the ground with its hoof. “Oh no.” Alec pantomimed as he drew closer “I’m ssooooo scared.” he mocked the creature. When he came within range of the Matriarch Boar he hefted his Battle Axe and looked at it. He scowled at it and the Boar. “Whatever.” he said as the Battle Axe began to vibrate and glow. When the vibration and pulsing glow reached its crescendo Alec swing the Battle Axe at the Matriarch Boar activating his Sword Art Hack.

The glow and vibration were expelled from the Battle Axe the second before it made contact and fizzled out into nothing. "Typical." thought Alec as shrugged at the whole situation. THe Matriarch Boar had different intentions as it dove toward Alec and sunk its over sized tusked its Alec just below his Breastplate after scraping noisily off it. The Boars tusks opened a small rent in Alec's hip the same size as the one opened by its smaller predecessors. A trickle of red pixels escaped Alec's wound and again his hit point bar dropped by one.

  24. As Alec opened the Loot drop window and hit the button not really caring what dropped if anything he was rewarded by a high pitched ding of a chime and a banner which stated Boar Pup Tusks 3/3 Congratulations!! “Oh joy oh rapture.” Alec mumbled sarcastically under his breath. “Be still my beating heart.” he continued this time in a mock Southern belle accent as he tapped his chest disdainfully. He honestly didn’t care anymore. That seemed to be the key here. Care and the game was designed to chew you up, grind you down to nothing then spit out the useless wasted excess that was left. “But” Alec thought “Don’t care. Don’t let it get to you don’t let it in and that’s where the power lie that was how to achieve and succeed.” So that was Alec now he cared for nothing and no one. Non of it was real. As Alec began to walk he heard a noise behind him. It sounded like an angry snuffling pig. As Alec looked over his shoulder with a perma scowl forged onto his face he a monstrous angry sow of a creature with a banner over its head Matriarch Boar. “Awesome.” thought who really cares. “Plus.” he mused “The idiots don’t even know that a boar is a male and a sow is a female. So I guess the morons who designed this forgot about gender and cross gendered it or something if it’s a Matriarch and a Boar. Whatever, guess it’s next to die.” ALec thought as he hefted his Battle Axe not caring one was or the other about the whole scenario.
