  1. Cordelia sighed in relief when the raven finally calmed the heck down. "There, there," she cooed, smiling softly to herself. "Ah, right!" She exclaimed, fishing out the bag of food that the old lady gave to her. "What do they eat again?" Cordelia muttered to herself as she searched through the bag.

They eat grain, right? Right! She scooped out a small handful of grain and held it out to the raven. Stars hypothetically formed in her eyes as the bird graciously pecked away at her hand.

"I did dun it!" She cheered, grinning at both the bird and Alec. "Thanks, I wouldn't have really been able to do it without you. Er-- did we ever give introductions? I'm Cordelia, by the way," she said sheepishly, holding out her free hand to him.

"His name is not going to be Mr. Ack!" She huffed, looking back over to the raven. "I want to give him a really good name. What about Pacco Pacarro the Third?"

  2. Cordelia took the stone gratefully and gave Alec a big ol' smile.

"Thank you, it means a lot from me," she said warmly, clutching the stone between her palms.

Fluttering of wings made Cordelia's ears perk. "I think one's coming this way!" She squealed, her onyx eyes searching the dark skies.

"I think I see it," she gaped, narrowing her eyes at the small black shadow that danced through the sky elegantly. "It;s so pretty," she cooed, placing her hands on her cheeks. She was too infatuated with the bird that she didn't realize that it was currently swooping down at her, it's tiny little claws baring at her. "I think I'm going to name him- Ack!"

She fell back on to the ground as she bird latched itself on to her blonde hair. "Oh my stars, my hair!" She shrieked fumbling to get the black bird out of her long hair. After a few more seconds of just... well, dying, she finally managed to get the bird out of her now tangled hair.

"Holy, you are definitely something, mister," she commented, holding the bird out in front of her as it flapped it's wings uncontrollably.

  3. "I'm not sure. I never really liked the idea of having an insect as my familiar, though," she shuddered, her whole body shaking.

"I like birds, though. I had a few birds growing up. I actually based my name off of one of them. She was a cute little blue parakeet," she cooed, smiling at the distant memories.

"That reminds me," she mumbled, pulling out an item from her inventory. "I should probably apply this before I find that familiar."

A few taps of her fingers and a bottle of green liquid appeared in front of her.

"It's made of frog legs," she said distastefully, opening the lid of the bottle and taking a few sniffs. She recoiled a bit and sighed. "Thank the stars I don't have to drink it. It is a salve, though. I suppose I just... put it on me?" Cordelia asked to herself, rolling up one of her sleeves to look at her bare and thin arm.

"Alright, here it goes," she sighed, pressing her finger against the bottle before tipping it upside down. Without spilling, she tipped it back around and held out her finger, smearing it the green liquid along her arm with a shudder. "Oh, poo. This is disgusting."

  4. Cordelia hummed as someone called her.

Who could it really be? She's only kind of met like, three people in this game.

She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she looked over to the owner of the voice, and her spirits... well, let's just say there were a tiny bit crushed.

"Oh," she murmured for a few seconds as she blanked out. She finally collected herself after a few seconds and went bounding over to the girl. "Ah, it's nice to see you again, Kityuisa," she bowed her head slightly as she gave her a small grin. She wasn't one to hold grudges but she couldn't help but be a little bit more cautious to the girl who looked like she wanted to kill her only a few days ago.

"You're the one who planned the party, yes? You certainly attracted quite the crowd," she murmured, whistling lowly as her eyes swept across what looked like the endless amounts of people.

    @Kityuisa

  5. Cordelia shrugged her shoulders as she hummed to herself.

"Exactly. Something that could give me any kind of battle awareness would be great for me," she confirmed, crossing her arms together as she daydreamed about her future familiar.

"I'm not like most damage dealers," she mused, smiling to herself. "I focus more on inflicting status effects and not on actual damage. I suppose the front lines already have enough of that. I'm not really the type of person to do support or tank builds either, so this is just what I'm going for at the moment," she explained, tilting her head from side to side cheerfully.

"Rapiers aren't really the best damage dealing weapon either, but I find it a pret-ty graceful weapon," she cooed, chuckling to herself. "It's awfully light as well. I don't think I'd be able to carry a weapon like a war hammer or a battle axe."

  6. "Don't say things you can mean," her twin drawled, laughing to herself. "You can kill me a hundred times over, but you'll never be able to get rid of that burning feeling in your heart. The thought of nobody loving you!" Her blonde hair cast messily over her eyes as she gave Cordelia one last sadistic grin. "The thought of never being perfect!"

"Shut up! Shut your damn mouth, you bastard!" She screamed, her hair whipping behind her as she charged at the Gemini, kicking her to the ground harshly.

    "Stop-"

    Stab.

    "Lying-"

    Stab.

    "To-"

    Stab.

    "Me!"

    A choking gasp left Cordelia's throat as she suddenly felt her rapier's weight fall to the ground and bright blue shards disappearing into the sky. She collapsed on to her knees as she stared at the ground with a blank expression, a small, almost inaudible whisper leaving her lips;

    "Stop lying to me."

  7. The two went at it again.

    Blade against blade.

    Face against face.

Cordelia growled as the Gemini's stabs pierced both of her arms, leaving bright red grid gashes on them. She was at half health now. Perhaps she wasn't dealing as much damage as her clone, but at least she had more health.

She returned the attack, gracefully jabbing at the Gemini's body with her own rapier.

"You at less than half now. I suggest you give up," she spat, narrowing her eyes at the still smirking Gemini.

"Beating me won't erase your past, you know," she giggled, her eyes widening with a crazed look. "Let's not forget about our dear family, as well. Mother and father simply loved you, don't you agree?"

A red haze fogged over Cordelia's vision as she balled her hands into tight fists. "O-f course they did!" She sputtered, a dark shade casting over her eyes as she stared daggers at the Gemini.

This was the first lie she didn't believe.

  8. A sudden shock went through Cordelia's body as she uttered that word.

"Perfect?" She murmured, her hold on her rapier loosening just slightly as she took a step back from the Gemini. "How the hell do you even know that?!" She demanded, her free hand balling into a small fist.

The Gemini let out a shrill laugh as she put her rapier on top of her shoulder. "I am you... and do you not like it when I talk about that? How you're not perfect? How you tried oh-so-hard to be perfect, but in the end, you're just worthless?" She held a hand over her mouth as she mocked Cordelia menacingly.

"S-shut up! I have no idea what you're talking about!" She exclaimed, clearly trying to push the subject as far away from her as possible.

The lies burned in her throat. It was sad how she even convinced herself this.

  9. Rapier against rapier clashed against each other.

The constant sound of wind whipping and metal clanging against each other filled Cordelia's ears as her mimic displayed the same moves as her.

She felt a sharp stab in her abdomen just as she delivered four jabs into the Gemini's own. "Only one of us is going to win this," she declared just as she kicked the Gemini away from her.

"It's going to be me. I'm the superior one here!" She cackled, her blonde hair whipping in the wind violently just like Cordelia's.

"Oh yeah?" Cordelia countered, the corners of her lips twitching as she got ready to charge in after the Gemini again. "Do you really think that when I've already taken more than a fourth of your health?"

"Of course," her clone said, a sinister and toying smirk playing on her lips as she tilted her head menacingly at Cordelia. "I'll come out victorious. Because unlike you, I'm absolutely perfect."

  10. "This is far enough."

    "Alright."

Cordelia shifted her head slightly, keeping the hooded player in her line of sight from the corner of her eye. This person was taking an awfully long time with this. Like, she already knew what was going to happen. They didn't need to make it dramatic or anything?

    Get on with it...

"So," she paused, taking a bit of time to close her eyes and smile to herself peacefully. "May I ask who I am going to be battling?" She asked, peeking one eye open as she fully turned to the mask player.

A sinister and toothy grin formed on the player's face as she slowly took off her hood. "Why, you of course," the Gemini said, her voice suddenly contorting to Cordelia's own.

Cordelia continued to smile as she unsheathed her rapier. "Let's see what I can do!" She giggled, ready to start battle at any given second.

    "Let's."

  11. Cordelia fumbled with her fingers as she pushed her hair over her shoulder. This is the spot... where were they?

    Oh there they were-

"You look pretty strong," they commented, a dark hood casting a shadow over their faces-- making them unidentifiable. She shuffled under their gaze. Even if she knew what was going on, it was still terribly embarrassing to be stared at.

"I'm looking to test my skills. If you beat me, I'll teach you a hidden skill. What do you say?" The figure asked, tilting their head at her.

She knew that gesture too well.

She nodded feebly and gestured her head to the town gate. "Let's get out of here," she murmured, already starting to leave the town. She could basically hear the person following after her, and it made shivers go down her spine. Because she knew who was under that hooded mask.

    And it was her.

  12. There was really only one thing that really one thing that confused her throughout the whole speech he gave.

"What is Type O Negative?" She muttered under her breath as she scrunched her brows together. This man wasn't making any sense to her. Not at all.

"- but, uhm. I... don't know? Just for something to help me fight, y'know. I tend to miss... a lot. Maybe something like that could help me out. Just a tad bit," she chuckled to herself, holding up her hand to show just the 'tad bit' she meant.

"Well, let's get going. The site shouldn't be too far from here, I think. My sources say that, anyway. I've never really been to this floor before," she admitted, scratching the side of her cheek sheepishly. "I've just kind of teleported to each floor for fun but that was really it."

Off we go! She marched forward, out of the town and into the dark beyond!

  13. Cordelia yawned as she inspected the countless shops around this area. A small cart had caught her eye. Awe, it was so cute!

"Hi there!" She chimed, grinning innocently at the guy behind the cute cart.

"I think I'll take this one," she mumbled, pointing a slender finger at a certain potion just sitting there itself. "Poor thing is lonely," she said, laughing under her breath. "I'll just relieve him of his misery," she whispered, waving her hands at him innocently as she payed for the item.

"Bye, bye!" She said one last time before bounding out of the area.

  14. Cordelia tapped her chin as she examined the items. "I think I'll take this one!" She exclaimed, pointing the said food. It... looked really good. "Uhm, here!" She mumbled, pulling out a few materials and slapping them right into the girl's hand. "Thank you so much!" She chirped, waving to her one last time before leaving the shop. Alright, just a few more!

Ah, this is good. She just needed to shop for a few more items just a few more times! Then... just then, will she be set for this quest, and she was going to be ready for it!

  15. "Ah, I see," she murmured, huffing stubbornly before pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

I'll be the judge of that.

"Sounds fishy," she sniffed, her eyes narrowing at the girl.

"I'll tell you my answer when we get there," she chimed, grinning to herself happily as she bounded after Kityuisa, passing her only after a few seconds.

"Ah, it's such a bea-ut-i-ful day!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands up into the air like the child she is. The air was bitter cold, the sky was full of looming clouds, but the best part was... drum roll please!

    ... Snow!

"It's so pretty!" She cooed, holding out her palm to capture a few flakes. Her eyes examined the tiny flakes for a few seconds before watching them dissolve right on her palm.

"Fascinating," she murmured, eyeing her palm with so much interest that it probably seemed like she was some kind of mad man to people around her.

  16. “Oh, I see,” she blinked, scratching the side of her cheek confusingly.

    Apparently, not global enough.

”I don’t know-“ he cut her off before she could really continue.

“No,” she said plainly, squinting at him before yawning. “The lower floors a bit bland,” she drawled, crossing her arms over one another. “I thought I would find something more interesting on this floor. I think a familiar that belonged to this floor would be pretty cool, too,” she admitted, frowning to herself. There hasn’t been anything that interesting yet... hopefully that would change soon? I mean, she hasn’t really even been outside the town, so she couldn’t really talk.

“I am in no means elated to be talking about anything related to death, and black is just a fashion choice,” she mumbled, pulling on her black sleeve. What? It looked cool!

“Plus, it’ll get cold,” she exclaimed, closing her coat tightly with one of her arms.

  17. Cordelia scratched her head as she entered the small shop. Awe, it was so homey.

She gave a small wave to the purple haired girl-- the person who she really just assumed was the shop owner. Bounding up to her, she gave a grin and clapped her hands together. "Hi there! I'm Cordelia. It's cool if I order a custom item, right?"

She scribbled down her order and handed it to Ennakai. "I hope it's okay if I pay when I get the item... It's just something I tend to do. Over cautious me and all," she let out a small laugh one last time before waving to the girl. "Just message me when cha' finish!"

  18. Cordelia blinked as she felt her face go stiff. "Uhm, alright?" She said, laughing nervously for a few seconds, pressing her now rigid arms against her side rather firmly.

She visibly relaxed as she offered her small hand to him, shaking his rather firmly before withdrawing hers. "Ah, it's quite fine," she murmured, offering him a small smile as she felt her face heat up just a tad bit. "Modelling? Painting?" She echoed with a dumbfound expression. "W-well," she sputtered, clearing her throat as she pressed a hand against her chest.

Has she modeled before? Yes-- but that was when she was like, six! Her mother just wanted her oh-so-precious daughter to be plastered on a magazine with just... y'know, a few of her own designs. She never wanted to take up a job like that again. Everyone was so uptight and strict!

"Oh, uhm, nice to meet you. You can call me Cordelia," she beamed with a genuine smile. Her steely gray eyes flickered over to the empty seat before shrugging. "Sure, why not?" She said, plopping herself right in the chair.

"So, uh. What are you doing here all alone?"

  19. Cordelia sighed in content as she felt the warm sun rays beat down on her skin. It's been absolute ages since she's been to a beach, and whew- did she miss it.

Throwing her long hair behind her shoulders, she let out a small sigh as she stretched her stiff arms. God, she really needed this. She didn't know why, though. Maybe it was just from stress from... y'know, being stuck in a literal video game. Or maybe it's because she felt a lot safer? Or maybe paranoia was coming to bite her in the ass again? Wait, where was she going with this?

Maybe she should just stop stressing. Honestly, that would make life way easier, right?

Her onyx eyes swept across the player filled beach. Hot damn, she didn't realize this many people were coming. Ah, shoot. She barely knew anyone here, too, maybe she didn't know anyone at all! Cordelia sweat dropped as she searched the faces of every single person.

Don't know you. Don't know you. Oh, definitely do not know you.

Maybe she should've spent some time actually meeting people.

    Well, shoot.

  20. Cordelia deadpanned as she charged into the cafe. "Thank the stars it's warm," she mumbled to herself as she rubbed her arms a couple of times.

Why was she on this blasted floor again? Some questions just can't be answered, young grasshopper.

Cordelia brushed a few stray strands of hair out of her face as she looked around the shop. It was relatively... empty. Well, maybe for the guy behind the counter and the other dude who seemed to be drinking a cup of something.

Bah, she didn't do good with crowds, anyway.

Well, it couldn't hurt to make a friend while she was in the frozen wasteland of a floor, right?

Shuffling over to the stranger, she gave him a close-eyed smile and a small wave. "Hi there, stranger! You looked a bit lonesome all alone here so I thought that you might need some company. Is that alright with you?"

  21. "Wizard of Oz?" She echoed confusingly as she furrowed her eyebrows. She's never heard of it before.

    Odd, indeed.

"Alternative, huh?" She mumbled, scratching her chin. She didn't really bother asking him what exactly the alternative was and really just shrugged the thought off after a few seconds. It didn't sound as interesting as she thought it would.

"Oh, wait!" She scrambled after the two with a sheepish smile. "Mind if I tag along just for a bit? I'm just looking for a familiar... and I think this floor might be out of my skill range," Cordelia murmured, looking around the area cautiously.

"There is this one place, though," she chirped, looking up at Alec with an innocent smile. "I heard it's pretty interesting, too," she mumbled out loud, scratching the side of her cheek. Cordelia felt giddy with excitement as she announced where exactly she wanted to go-

    "It's a grave!"

  22. "Yes, I do, actually," she said bluntly, furrowing her thin brows in confusion. "Is there something wrong with that?"

Cordelia sighed to herself as she felt her face twitch again. What was wrong with her? Jesus, she's never met someone so snappy at this girl.

"Oh?" She murmured, narrowing her eyes cautiously at the girl. Things were getting oddly suspicious. "What is this condition?" She asked, blinking at the girl with a dumbfound expression. This was interesting! No one has ever really said no to her like this before! This was a different kind of new, but she was totally down for it.

    But that really begs the question;

    What did this girl want?

Cordelia was sure that she had loads of money on her, so why get an item like this when she could just buy herself a perfect item? Also, why was she so gosh darn snappy and rude?

  23. Cordelia's eye twitched as she gave the stranger a forced smile. "Smart one, aren't 'cha?"

This girl obviously knew her stuff, that's for sure.

"You seem strong enough to afford gear," she seethed through her teeth as she continued to give her a smile. "So why don't you just let me get the item?" She acquired, tilting her head again to give the girl a closed eye smile.

Yeah- she wasn't sure if she even wanted to stick around this girl. She seemed strong, that's for sure, but her attitude seemed like total [doo doo]. Plus, with that look on her face, Cordelia wasn't even sure if she was even mentally sane. Just something about it seemed... off to her.

-Or maybe it was her paranoia coming back to bite her in her in the ass again! That was always a viable answer, too! That was something that had recently come up, hooray!

  24. Cordelia gave the stranger a side glance as she shrugged her shoulders. "My name isn't Dorothy."

He both looked and sounded American or something like that. Maybe it was some kind of American thing? Maybe? She guessed that Americans were pretty weird, but she's never really formally met any, unless you count a couple of celebrities and CEOs at some galas or something like that. Were all of these westerners this weird?

She sighed to herself once more as she turned to him, tilting her head as she looked up to stare at him in the eyes. "You seem awfully old to be playing a game that was designated for teenagers and young adults," she said bluntly. I mean, it wasn't like she was lying! Seriously! Things were fishy yet again, but then again, maybe she was just being paranoid, or maybe, just maybe, the floor was messing with her head, again.

  25. Cordelia mumbled under her breath just before turning her head to looked around. There weren't that many people around, and most of them were really just NPCs doing their designated routines. A player caught her eye pretty fast, though. She looked almost out of place in such a dull floor like this one.

Maybe there was no harm in trying?

Cordelia shuffled over to the blonde from behind and peeked her face next to hers. Tilting her head, she asked, "Are you doing well? You look like you want to strangle the life out of someone," she mused, grinning childishly before lifting her head and walking to the girl's front. "Are you perhaps doing a certain quest on this floor? Maybe with a certain item drop?" She asked, tilting her head to give her another cheerful grin. Perhaps they could do it together! Oh-- but the boss only dropped one item... yes, that would definitely be some kind of problem.
