Cordelia tilted her head as she watched Alec pass by her. He seemed like he was a in bad mood. She was just about to go consult him when she saw some movement from the corner of her eye. Did those people have to do with something?
She watched as Alec left her field of vision before strolling over to the group of three.
"Did you three have something to do with the big ol' man's grumpy mood?" She asked, giving them a more... sinister smile than what she usually gave to strangers. No one messed with her friends!
Her eyes glazed over each of the individuals. Two girls and a man that looked almost as old as Alec-- if not older. They didn't seem like a very experienced bunch... except for that girl with the rapier but still.
She wondered, what had they done to make Alec so mad?

Cordelia yawned as she stretched her arms in front of her. It was too early to be dealing with quest mobs... but you got to do what you got to do.
Cordelia sighed as she walked sluggishly. Where even as she anymore? She had completely forgotten. Oh well, she'll just walk around till' she sees someone-- oh look, she sees someone.
She blinked blankly for a few seconds before realizing that she in fact knew these people. She was improving! That was good. Everyone used to be strangers to her. She walked up to the two with a small grin. "Hey, Oscar. I told you that I would see you again soon, I didn't think it would be this soon but I was right!" She exclaimed, catching a familiar shade of white hair from the corner of her eye.
"Oh, right. I know you too! Bahr, was it? We met at Kityuisa's beach party," she added, giving a small bow of greeting. "It's good to see you again!"

Cordelia silently gnawed on the edge of cookie as she listened to Oscar.
"It was just dumb luck," she mumbled, setting the cookie down and taking a small swig of her coffee. "My stats haven't changed that much since we did that quest. I guess I was just a bit lucky today," she shrugged, setting the cup of coffee down.
"I've had enough of failing, too," she muttered, her nose wrinkling for a few seconds before she gave him a small smile.
"I think I'm going to head out before it gets dark," she chirped sitting up and brushing her lap off. "Things get fishy around my inn at night, so I should probably head out. I'm still considering your offer of being your little roommate or something. Maybe I'll have an answer next time I see you-- which I will tell you will be very soon because of those cookies," she chuckled, gesturing her head to the plate of unfinished cookies.
"Thank you for the food," she grinned, taking a small bow as Pacco flapped up to her shoulders. "See you soon!" She chimed, giving a small wave to him as she left the shop.
-
She squealed and gave a bow of appreciation. "Thank you so much!" She chirped, clapping her hand together as she eyed the plate of cookies hungrily. bShe said, turning her head to give Oscar a thumbs up.
Cordelia then turned her attention back to the plate of Snickerdoodles. "There's so many," she said in awe, picking it up delicately with her hands.
She quickly bit into one and grinned. "They're really good, good job!" She said with a mouthful of cookies. She gulped down the sweet and smiled gratefully. "I wish I could cook. Do you know how many pies I could make in a single day if I could bake?" She asked, stars forming in her eyes as she thought about it. "I'm not too good at cooking things, though," she mumbled, giving a depressing sigh as she deadpanned. "I'm pretty sure I'd just burn everything."
-
Cordelia gaped in awe as she entered the shop. "This is cool," she murmured, turning her body around to look at every nook and cranny this place had to offer. She's never really seen anything like this before!
"Oh, alright," she said, plopping herself down on to a chair.
"Thank you," she said softly, letting Pacco hop off of her shoulder with a small smile. He tilted his head at the cracker cautiously before experimentally pecking them.
"This place is pretty cool," she muttered under her breath as she turned her head around to inspect a shop. Maybe she should get a shop one day? Nah, that was too much work for her. Plus, all of the kinds of fields already had a major shop, so what was even the point anymore? She should be out and about leveling up, anyway, she didn't need a shop to weigh her down!
-
She grinned as she slid her hands through the sleeves of her coat. "Hunting sounds good but I want to see what else you can make!" She exclaimed, sheathing her rapier in its hold.
"Do you make any pastries? Or anything sweet?" She asked, her eyes lighting up as she waited for an answer. "My serv- er, friend used to make these really good cookies when I was a kid," she said softly, a small smile blooming on her face. "I thought they were the coolest things in the world at the time."
"I really want cookies now," she mumbled tiredly, slapping her cheeks lightly. "Maybe with some tea or a cup of coffee," she said wistfully.
"Maybe you could try to make something for Pacco, as well," she continued. "I'm such a bad owner," Cordelia chuckled, face palming herself as she whistled a small tune-- and there comes Pacco! "Sorry I forgot about you, buddy," she said nervously, tapping her fingers together with a sheepish smile.
-
Cordelia felt a gust of wind fly past her and she nearly sighed. She didn’t even finish her food yet.
“Uhm,” Cordelia mumbled nervously, looking around for a place to put her hot dog. She didn’t trust the ground... or the trees. Even though there weren’t such things as germs in SAO, it still didn’t sit right with her to put anything that can be considered food in such an unappealing place.
“Where do I put it?” She panicked, her eyes blinking from one random place to another.
“Ah, screw it,” she huffed, throwing off her coat, which only left her in her under armor, and setting it on a clean patch of grass. “I’m sorry, my baby,” she whispered with imaginary tears. The girl placed the hot dog nearly on top of her coat and sighed. “I sure hope that things don’t stain in this game,” she muttered lowly before unsheathing her rapier.
Cordelia whipped her head to the baby hatchling. It didn’t deserve her mercy.
“Got it!” She yelled, nodding over to Oscar before dashing off after the emerald dragon.
“It is very...” She paused, taking time to activate her most lethal sword art, “impolite to disrupt someone while they’re eating!” She declared rather loudly, her rapier charging forward to repeatedly send fits of energy at the creature.
The hatchling let out a shrill screech of pain before exploding into the air, leaving a rather large emerald in its place.
Cordelia sighed and picked up the emerald, inspecting it for a few seconds before sending it off to her inventory. “Well, that was fast!”

"Make a mess?" She murmured, feeling a shudder go down her spine. She was not really one to make a mess... especially on purpose.
"Why would you make a mess on purpose?" She whispered hastily, leaning her head in. "It just doesn't fundamentally make sense!"
She looked down at whatever this hotdog thing was and sighed. "It's not... terrible," she uttered, trying to find the right words to describe it. "Let's just say I would eat this in a life or death situation," she said bluntly. She felt bad now. He was only being nice to her by offering her something to eat, but she guessed she preferred just... not eating? She didn't know anymore.
"I'd like that, though," she spoke up, smiling softly. "Let's see what you can make other than hot dogs," she giggled, grabbing the hotdog and standing up.
"I'll eat on the way there. Let's get going. No time to waste!"
-
Her lips formed into a thin line as she stared at the hotdog. "So no knives or forks?" She echoed, confusion written on her face as she turned her head to look at Oscar.
She's never really eaten anything with just her hands before. It almost made her gag just to think about it. Where had her hands been? She had touched that railing near the inn this morning, right? She gulped as she turned to look at the hot dog again. It suddenly looked even less appetizing than it already was.
"I think I-" she cut herself off as she scratched the side of her cheek confusingly. "I guess I'll try it out," she mumbled, turning her onyx eyes back to-- whatever this thing was.
Did she mention how weird it was to be watched while eating? It was starting to freak her out just a bit.
Cordelia muttered a small thanks before hesitantly taking a bite out of the thing. Of course, not being to eat the whole thing in one bite, she set the food on her lap as she covered her mouth as she chewed. She wasn't really sure how to describe it.
"It's certainly... unique," she bit out, her voice muffled behind her hand.
-
Cordelia wrinkled her nose as she looked at the thing. Has she ever seen this thing before? It certainly looked... odd to what she usually ate back at home.
"Uhm," she blinked, cautiously taking the hot dog from him with a blank face. "How do I... eat it?"
Did she need a fork and knife? Heck, did she eat this with a salad fork? Was this some kind of common food? She's never seen these in Japan before. Maybe it was some kind of western thing? She wasn't sure if it looked completely... healthy, too. There was a lot of color on it, as well. She wasn't sure if she could really trust herself with eating this. Who knows what it could be made of? Her virtual stomach tightened at the thought of eating it.
But she wouldn't really get any weight gain from eating in Aincrad, right?
She lowered the hotdog and rested her knuckles on her lap as she looked down at it with narrowed eyes. "I haven't had anything but coffee, tea, and a few sweets in a while," she mumbled sheepishly, her cheeks puffing up in embarrassment.
-
Cordelia let out a small yelp as she held up her hands in some kind of karate... cut motion? She didn't even know herself.
"O-oh," she wheezed. "I didn't know you were there, sorry!" She exclaimed, bowing her head apologetically.
"I was thinking about... stuff."
"What were you eating just now, by the way?" She asked, quick to change the conversation with a small smile. She tilted her head as her brows knotted together in slight confusion. "It looks... odd."
"Anyway!" She pipped, grinning from ear to ear at him. "I wanted to see if you wanted to help me on this quest? I think I might be strong enough for it... but considering how my luck went last time we were fighting, I'm not so sure, anymore," she sulked. "You're big and tough and all, so I was just hoping that you would have my back if things suddenly go downhill," she chuckled, kicking her feet in the air a few times innocently.
-
Cordelia stretched her aching back as she kicked her feet just above the ground. She felt like benches were literally made for her.
She felt like fighting something. Anything! She did hear something about dragons and gems a few days ago. Maybe she should check that out? She hasn't really been keeping up on her game data lately. Her poor little notebook was probably collecting dust on her nightstand.
Well, if she was fighting an actual dragon, maybe she needed some help.
But that begs the question; who?
She had actually met very few people. Alec? No... even if he is a high leveled player, he probably wouldn't do a lot of damage against a full blown dragon.
Kityuisa- no. Definitely not. Cordelia hated her guts and she knew that Kityuisa felt the same about her.
Which leaves her with the last guy she really talked to; Oscar.

Hey, I know that we were planning to do another quest, but could you come down to floor one and help me with something?

Cordelia gave a bitter laugh as she forced her head down into the pillow just a bit more.
She knew how people thought. If she were to ever express these kinds of thoughts in public, she would be humiliated. She would be a monster.
Why, though?
For thinking rationally? She never really liked people because of that. They judged too much. At least behind a screen, she wouldn't have to see them look at her like she was some freak.
It wasn't like she was trying to force her ideas on to other people, too. She kept these all to herself. She was fine with people not agreeing with her. It was just when they started talking about her like she was some sort of monster did it piss her off.
Maybe she was pretty weird. Maybe she was heartless. It didn't change her thought process, though.
It was still a dog eat dog world.
-
She remembered when their little group got all excited when the NerveGear came out. They never did tell her what they were going to name themselves... perhaps what they always did? She has never been really bothered to check-- but after two years of being stuck in here, she was sure most of them were dead.
It saddened her, yes. The only people she knew had perished in a world of unfairness. But it was life. It was harsh, but out in a world where death can just be a knife poke to the chest, it was survival of the fittest. A dog eat dog world. Kill or be killed.
She wasn't heartless. It was just life.
If they couldn't pull their own weight in the game, then they shouldn't expect any help. It was as if the people in the game were resorting back to their natural instincts. Only the strongest could live, after all.
-
Cordelia mumbled tired 'curses' under her breath as she fell back on to her familiar inn bed. Man, she really needed to get a place soon... but, she was pretty much flat out broke compared to those on the front lines. It just didn't sit well with her.
She'll get there one day, though. One day she was going to be tackling floor bosses like a professional.
The blonde rolled to her side and gave a depressing sigh.
Was it bad that she wanted to stay in here more than anything in the world? Cordelia pursed her lips the more she thought about it. She didn't have anyone in the real world. She was just some kind of doll to her parents, and the servants were supposed to be nice to her. Who did she really have in the world? Her online friends? They might be dead by now.
She smiled softly as she pressed her head against the not-so-comfortable pillow.

Cordelia blinked at the offer.
"A-are you sure?" She fretted, holding up her hands as she gave a sweat drop. "I can be a total slob around the house a-and I am really, really, really messy," she mumbled hotly, averting her eyes away in embarrassment.
What did you expect?
She had been living the life of luxury all of her life... and now someone was asking her to be a roommate? What if it wasn't like how it was at home? What if they think she's a total snob? She didn't have maids or servants anymore! How was she going to be able to do anything around a house without them?
Her lips pursed together tightly as she fumbled with her fingers nervously. She had just made a new friend, she couldn't lose them because of something like this! Her tutor never taught her about roommates and... and houses! Also, 'plenty of room'? What if it was a giant house and she started acting like it was her own? Oh, was was Oscar going to think when he saw that she was a total brat? No one knows about her in this game, right? What if they find out who she was?
"I-I don't know," she mumbled, her brows furrowing in confusion. "I'll have to think about it."
She gulped and gave him a small bow. "I'm sorry, but, uh, I'll message you when I'm thinking about doing that quest. Bye!" She said quickly, giving him a small bow guiltily before dashing off.
-
“Of course!” She chimed, giving him a close eyed grin. “I think I’d be absolutely obliterated if I went alone, anyway,” Cordelia said with a small laugh.
She gave him a sideways glance and shrugged her shoulders. “I haven’t gotten the time to grind up enough Col to get a house yet, so I’m just temporarily staying in an inn. Maybe I’ll scrap up enough money one day to get myself a nice little house, though,” the girl said with a small smile. Yeah, it kind of sucked living in an inn, but it was better than a box, right?
Well, it was certainly different from the life she used to have.
“I have no plans to really open up a shop, either,” she mumbled, her lips tugging down for a few seconds before smiling again. “But I’m sure I’ll have enough one day. I don’t really spend a lot of money on anything but gear... so, that’s not a lot,” she explained. You really only have to get new gear every couple of months! So it wasn’t like, she was broke as hell.
-
"Yeah," she rubbed her arm sheepishly as she felt part of her cheek twitch just thinking about it. "I really need to train Pacco up to help me in fights," she mumbled under her breath. "Speaking of Pac-" She blinked as her familiar came swooping down at her. It was like reliving the day of befriending him all over again!
"Wait- no, Pacco. please, my hair is actually combed today!" She squeaked, using her hands to shield her long hair. She shut her eyes closed as she prepared for the worst-- which was basically just Pacco literally getting stuck in her hair, but she didn't feel anything. She peeked open one eye to see that Pacco was perched on her shoulder, his head tilted as if to say, 'girl, what the heck are you doing'.
"You're so mean," she huffed, wrinkling her nose at him before walking into the small town. She had quickly given the ovule to the NPC and sighed in relief.
"That quest item was not worth all of the misses I had to have."
She turned to Oscar and tapped her finger on her cheek thoughtfully, as if debating. "I was planning to go do that quest with a friend of mine... but we could always try doing another quest around that skill level. Have you done the Deforestation one yet?"
-
Cordelia gave them all a toothy grin as everyone else seemed to introduce themselves. "It's nice to meet you guys. I figured I needed to start socializing sooner or later. The only company I've had for a good while is this little rascal," she sweat dropped, pointing to Pacco.
"Oh, uh. Okay, bye," she blinked, giving them a small wave as the group walked off to wherever.
She turned to Solei and deadpanned. "Are they always like that?" She asked, raising a brow. "They seem like they're... plotting something," she said lowly, feeling a shiver go down her spine. Oh gosh, she's already got the chills running down her spine! It was a bad omen indeed!
"Whatever, I'm just gonna go..." she trailed off, her eyes flickering from the groups of people. Well dang, she suddenly felt more self-conscious. "I-I'll just go get food," she said, laughing nervously as she shuffled over to where all the snacks and drinks were.

Cordelia lunged at the nepent, her blonde hair flying wildly behind her as she charged up a more nimble sword art.
She used quick stabs on what she assumed was the nepent's torso... or whatever it really was, but it didn't take long for the nepent to eventually blow up.
"Thank the lord, I don't feel like utter crap now," she laughed softly, pushing her bangs up as she lowered her rapier. She sighed and held up the ovule. "Gross," she mumbled, shoving it into her inventory.
She looked back at Oscar and gave him a toothy grin. "Alright, let's get going. There's still plenty of light left in the day so maybe we could do something after I give this item back to that NPC or whatever. Maybe get some food... or we could go hunting for mobs... I don't know if I'd do well against another mob," she giggled nervously, already starting to march her way back to town.

Cordelia crouched down and watched Pacco silently. It has seemed that the two had gotten into one of their own little staring contests. This was surely the first. It was a lot more fun than she had expected, though! ... but something about those little beady eyes almost freaked her out. It wasn't really scary, but... disturbing.
Pacco's lower left eye twitched as he continued to stare at the blonde. "O-oh!" She exclaimed, pointing a finger at him accusingly. "I saw that, mister! You can't hide it from me," she cackled, rolling on to her back.
Imagine if she was out in public, that would've been a real hoot. She had decided to see if she can get Pacco to actually help her in battle, but first, she needed to train the dang bird! It wasn't going to be easy... but she was going to need some accuracy soon. Real soon.
