  1. Chase was starting to feel guilty until he heard her talk about how much of a gamer she was. He wasn't the most intuitive, but that was a dead giveaway she was messing around. His expression tried to keep its form, but he only ended up laughing by the time Sera was done explaining herself. "Don't worry, I just didn't want to sound like I was bragging. Or being mean.", he awkwardly responded and wiped a tear (out of laughter) from his eyes, raising an eyebrow after. "What is a sim?", the curious question asked, only to be interrupted by a blue light further behind them as a group of three boarlets spawned.

Chase DBP Happy.png"Oh, your boars. Try the thing out. Attack with your spear, the system will help you.", he reminded her and turned to them, keeping his broken, stone sword sheathed by his left hip and just resting a hand on its hilt. And with a soft cough, he cleared his throat and proceeded to howl, managing to not mess up this time around. The boars ignored him however, continuing to look around and munch on grass as before. Completely confused, Chase opened up his menu and looked through his skills before groaning. "... I haven't relearned all my skills, fuck. J-Just attack them, if anything goes wrong I'll intervene. Sorry for looking like a dork."

  2. Chase quietly looked at Seraphina with a blank expression, hearing her worry a bit too much. It wasn't that he was heartless, but when Shay was showing him around, he was confident in her abilities. Hence she was taking him out into the fields and all. Now, his main issue was keeping up this air of confidence without sounding like a complete asshole that's let it get to his head. So...

Chase DBP Awkward Silent.png"Every few seconds, I get around 5% of my health back. Right now, my armor can hold back most monsters, and I've only survived in battles by dodging. I look weak but the game works... differently. Is it your first game too? There's a lot of numbers that don't show- like armors and weapons. So it's weird but. They're there.". When it seemed like he tried the most, he could actually articulate sentences without peeving anyone off- or at least he hoped so. Not that speaking this openly and as if he was that familiar with the system felt right, but it was something he could and probably should get used to. Chase looked around as well to make sure that the players fighting weren't in any visible trouble at least, before looking back at Sera again. "Your armor... If it has a single slot of mitigation, you might take no damage too. But you have a lot less health because you're level one. Or two?", and that stung a bit.

He felt as though he'd gone poking at how low a level she was, which would probably sound like bragging. By the time he realised, it was already too late and he had a visibly pained expression on his face, looking away and pretending to look at the fights around them and in the distance again. "N-Not that it's bad, everybody's been there. But I won't get hurt. That's all."

  3. Thank god he was spot on, because otherwise he would have been quite embarrassed to almost kidnap someone under the assumption they were just starting out. Then again, why else would someone be ready to scream at a quest giver? His features softened as she said that she hadn't fought in combat before, and his gaze, although pinned on her, seemed completely lost, like he was deep in thought. It wasn't long before he shook his head and gave her a small nod.

Chase DBP Happy.png"That's alright. The combat guides itself. You just do the motion, the system will help you carry it through. Let's go into the fields.", he blurted out and began to walk towards the town's exit, figuring that she'd have already gone out at least once to gather the materials for Zackariah's quest. He'd gone through this routine plenty of times with various people, and as sickening as it was to do the same thing over and over again, there was little else he really could do. "I'm a tank. Monsters don't like me, so they attack me while my party hits them. Find the boarlets and I'll take their attention. You can try your sword arts there.", he tried to explain as simply as he could, looking at her for a moment as he stepped out of the safezone and noticing the spear. "It's not as hard as it seems."

This time, he wasn't going to start talking about how he had also been there before and how hard things were. Some people needed to hear that, while others didn't. So he was just going to change his approach to it this time around, be more confident and seem trustworthy rather than a goofy, no-longer inexperienced player. Maybe just this attitude would be enough to help out more than the relatable, scrawny kid he'd made himself out like all the other times. Not that the act changed his actual identity any, but-

  4. <<The Second Lesson>>

Chase was running about his day as per usual. Do a little bit of tidying up the already tidy house he had on the 21st, go over to the lower floors and look for something to do, fail at finding anything, go to the next lower floor, and here he was, all the way back to the first. Last time he'd dropped by Zackariah, he found that nervous, fidgety girl he managed to help out. So maybe the next NPC for that quest line would have a similar situation going there?

Chase DBP Default Uncertain.pngAnd like so, he ended up in Lyle's workshop, silently looking at the blacksmith hammering away at his anvil and some newbie (bingo) fuming, ready to start dropping verbal bombs on him like no tomorrow. "... I'll help.", the bluehead tried to prevent Seraphina from the barrage. Sliding open his menu, he looked for nearby players and only found one. Finally, a name he could pronounce. 'Sera'. She was greeted with a party invite by 'ChaseR', giving her an awkward, toothy smile before exiting the building and tapping his foot on the stone path silently. "You're new, right? Have to kill boars or something?", he tried to ease up the mood, hopefully succeeding somewhat. And hell, this was his best attempt of all the past encounters with strangers so far.

  5. A deep sigh left Chase's mouth. There wasn't any lashing at Freyd or trying to start fires, but he gave him a miffed glance and then looked at where the boss would be, were it still alive. "You killed all eight. Field boss, the mobs and the dungeon boss.", he stated, although it sounded more like a complaint. Dead was good obviously, so that wasn't what was bothering him. And so, he turned back to Freyd with a hand resting on his sheathed blade's hilt.

Chase DBP Glare (Old).png"I could kick your ass back then, I swear. One hit and you'd be down for the count if we were to fight.", he muttered and then looked down at his own sword, tightening his grip on it. "But you keep outperforming me in everything since the floor boss.", Chase huffed and began to head to the exit silently. He didn't seem to care for his health any as much as he did about the fact he'd stagnated in terms of progress. Surely he didn't put it in the best of ways, but Freyd would understand probably. "I'm calling it a day.", he said and raised a hand to wave back at him, not turning his head over his shoulder to look. This wasn't as much a 'Freyd problem' as it was a 'Chase problem'. It just happened to be Freyd and not Alkor, NIGHT or anyone else he knew. "..."

  6. On the note of 'glitched' monsters, Chase gave Freyd a suspicious look. Glitches? In Sword Art Online? Putting aside the impossibility of that happening, it coming from Freyd was even more dubious. Regardless, he wasn't going to start an argument just after having his ass saved. And so came the mushroom, right before them, forcing one to go right and the other to go left. Fuck. Now that the two were split up, Chase was beginning to get worried before the rogue literally cut its health to a fourth if not less, getting a grunt out of the boy.

Chase DBP Silent.pngHe approached the boss and turned his sword, slamming his pommel into its sides (or what presumably would be its sides) and getting it to hack out some spores, just strengthening the stench that even red eyes should have gotten used to by now. "No damage, damn.", he groaned an distanced himself, knowing he'd immobilized it for now but alone he could do near no harm to the monster. This was getting frustrating. Ever since this update, time and time again it felt like he couldn't ever see things through on his own and just kept on relying on Freyd and whoever else was in his party to just... carry him on their backs. Most bothersome. "Kill it off if you can.", he requested somewhat miffed, looking to the side and already beginning to lower his guard. He knew it was as good as dead with this guy nearby.

  7. Once the fight was over, Chase could feel the ground rumbling and shaking further out the back. He didn't seem interested in proceeding just yet though, quietly sheathing his sword and putting all his weight on his knees, resting for a moment. "I'm alive. Just give me a minute.", he huffed and tried to catch his breath again, having gotten a sudden rush of adrenaline from the sheer health drop. What the fuck was really wrong with this game by now?

Chase DBP Guilty Silent.pngEven after such a fight, he almost reached his half point by a single mistake- no, it wasn't even in his control. The attacks both hit him because the mobs were strong, not because he was weak. And there's little room for progression with how the game changed. Even if it hadn't, he was almost max level, so there'd be no room for further progression again. Looking for excuses then. Fuck. "... Were dungeons always this much of an absolute pain?", he asked and looked back at Freyd, his glance having gotten as neutral and almost angered (less at him and more so at Kayaba's questionable design methods). "I think I can keep going. It's just the boss and then we're done. Right?"

  8. Not too far back, groans could be heard as two more, larger Myconids approached from the distance. One was holding a staff with what seemed like crystals attached to it, glowing ever so faintly, while the other held a sharpened halberd, ready to run it through anything in its path- two humans in particular, as of right now. "The pinky and the brain.", he joked lowly, having let his guard down now that he got to throw a couple shots back at Freyd.

Chase DBP Surprised.pngThe one that seemed more so like a mage shook its body, letting spores spread before they began to glow the same violet color as the crystals, homing in on bluehead. Before he could get hit, he made sure to charge the same way the physically bulkier of Myconids seemed to be running the two down, slashing it and getting hit by the halberd right on the thigh. If they could feel pain, holy fuck he'd be dead by now. Managing to keep the sprint up for a little while longer, he made his way to the Caster and slashed at his staff, hoping to break it but nothing. With a quick slice to its face, he dealt damage before the projectiles splashed on his back, causing a small explosion to happen and chipping at his health considerably. Almost down to half after taking just two attacks, jesus christ. "Asthmatic, give me a hand before I pass away.", he almost demanded without mustering much a good mood for jokes, looking back at Freyd warily.

  9. It was almost as if something awoke in Chase when he started to chuckle and even laugh loudly with Freyd's troubled breathing and coughing, finding it comical. This guy, who was an absolute hardass with everything was having a hard time breathing in here? Most unfitting, if you were to ask blue. "Didn't know asthma carried into the game.", he joked, seeming completely unbothered by the smell.

Chase DBP Happy.pngHe charged right in (sadly not literally, otherwise there might have even been a different outcome entirely) and slashed at the monsters, causing more spores to fill the room to Freyd's probable dismay. How he wasn't completely annoyed by the vile stench was unknown until he opened his mouth, once he'd dodged the attack from the foes' polearms with grace. "This is a really weak smell. You should check the locker rooms at school.". Whether it was a joke or not was unclear by the tone alone, but he didn't seem to be gagging all the same. Probably an experience best left at a brief mention and nothing more than that. "Blade's dulled or something. Go get them, weak lungs.", he said and laughed almost wholeheartedly, something Freyd had probably- no, definitely, never seen from him before.

  10. Chase let out a deep, long sigh. Of course he'd kill it in a single hit because why wouldn't he. At least he didn't go straight for busting a kneecap this time around, that part was a lot better (and less violent). "Dead is dead, that's good enough.", he commented and looked around, unsure what exactly they were going for next. Hell, under the assumption it was probably a dungeon, he activated his searching skill and decided to try spotting any nearby.

Chase DBP Searching.pngWith a blink, his eyes' colors had changed and everything in his vision looked just a tiny bit greener. The first attempt at using the skill in 3.0 and it was already looking weird- it didn't just increase his luck anymore. He thought he was starting to see some sort of track though, now that his vision was slightly altered. Could this be it? The tracks looked like they were made by some creature with three toes, leading up to an almost... pyramid like structure, obstructed by quite the foliage- vines and what have you. As he disabled his skill, he gestured Freyd to come along and stood out of its entrance. Inside, grunts could be heard as humanoid monsters (unbeknownst to the two, for now) dragged their legs around, patrolling the dim and damp room. With spears in their hands poorly put together, they groaned and shook their backs from time to time, spreading spores from their fungus-invested bodies. Some form of mushroom creatures, and the environment couldn't be better suited to host them, a cave. Excellent.

  11. Chase DBP Default.pngChase had a glance at the feast, silent. Was this the guy who's store he'd raided the other day? Regardless of the man's identity, he knew what was on the table. Something that was looking mighty tasty and very much to his liking. And he just so happened to have a consumable in need of pocketing something inside. "Yeah. It looks pretty good.", he raised his head and told Damien with a very neutral expression and even fainter smile on the corner of his lips, giving him a small thumbs up. "Thanks.", he finally muttered, accepting the feast and stashing it in his inventory so he could fill Gugnir's Shard right up in a moment.

    [ChaseR accepted the item.]

  12. Chase quietly looked at her and scratched the back of his head, trying to figure out what she meant by tearing up the materials. On the ground? His attacks didn't have any form of reach that would hurt the environment around him so they should be safe. His blade isn't that long either, even when holy kicks in, so that should be good too.

Chase DBP Default Uncertain.pngThe bluehead began to take a few steps towards the boars, the rustling grass being enough for them to turn their heads and look at him, grunt and start preparing to charge right at him. As he continued, it seemed he'd accepted their challenge. They started running, and so did he. With a slash to one of them, it was downed and broke into multiple shards, getting almost hit by the other and giving it a smack with the flat of his sword. When the third one was coming right at him, he lifted his sword to slash vertically down at it, but little white wisps had already begun to form from the guard of the sword, floating up to the broken part of the blade. "Ah fuck.", he said and quickly raised his other hand up to hold the hilt of his blade, before a blinding white light covered the area, probably doing a job as well as a flashbang would at blinding Suzuna.

While she could still see though, it would appear as if the wisps were oozing out light, filling in whatever part of the sword was broken with a luminescent, transparent material. Once the flashbang was over, the boar and light (literally) part of the sword were both gone, and he was holding the miserable stone blade with one hand once more. "It does that, sorry. The light didn't blind you too much, right?"

  13. And so, another swing from Chase's blade and the 'boss' took another massive hit to its health. With its health bar almost fully depleted and it having stayed still yet another time while he wailed away at it, the boy let out a deep sigh and lowered his guard. He wasn't even fighting any more, just target practice and little more.

Chase DBP Silent.pngHis last two hits were fully sloppy, yet they'd landed properly. This didn't feel like a boss fight as much as it did a stand up comedy show. "... Bringer of Flame, yet can't stand still.", he muttered under his breath, more bored than anything else. Hell, he even seemed ready to sheathe his sword, sure that Freyd and Hirru would do whatever else was needed and his help was no longer necessary. If his adrenaline kept spiking during fights, now it had completely dropped into the negatives. What a joke of a combat encounter this 'Belezbub' was supposed to be. No wonder he was given the unreadable name.

  14. Going on that tiny rant might have confused the lass a bit. So, he tried to tackle it the same way he would have normally. Simplify it to non-gamer terms. "Doing stuff gives you experience. Fights give you more and quests the most. Every some points of experience you get levels. And levels give you points you can use to get new skills that give you uh... s-skills. You can wield your weapons better or unlock new attacks. Or you can look for materials faster and easier. Hide from enemies, heal others, use a shield, armors..."

Chase DBP Awkward Silent.pngYet another bombshell of things she would most definitely not understand if he couldn't back then. Hopefully, he was wrong. "Uh... I think Zackariah needs five materials. So you should need four more.", he reassured her, looking up the hills nearby and seeing a few boars look around. Monsters didn't attack unless it was a special condition or you entered their den, dungeon, wherever they resided, so they would just passive-aggressively walk by. It was a good chance to give "Suziena... Suzu..."... Suzuki, a glimpse of what combat will look like. One push to not go back to staying in an inn like past Chase would, had he not grown tired of cowering alone and wishing for this to end.

"There's some boars up there. Wanna watch?", he asked her with a small smile as he unsheathed his broken sword, holding it in one hand. Maybe if it were fully together, he'd have to use both, but it was light enough for the time being. "They won't be attacking you. I'm uh... It's called a tank. I take damage for others and make monsters attack me. There's a few skills that help with that. So I can always use 'Howl' to take their attention if they decide to attack you, but it's the first floor. They're weak."

  15. Chase quietly watched the farce or whatever it was playing out before them, and within the first turn the boss almost had its health bar cut to half (the first one at least), as well as had gotten stunned and the other two were on their way to kicking its ass back into Cardinal's storage. Great.

Chase DBP Eyebrow.pngEven though his attack wasn't with a great form, he let out a low sigh and slashed forwards at the immobilized boss, almost missing him. He would have if it wasn't fighting with a (probably) rabid mongoose, truthfully. But the damage had been dealt and it was only then that the boss decided it had enough. It got engulfed in flames, warding the pest off and glaring at the group. "You insolent fools, you believe what you've managed to do to me is 'progress'?! I'll show you progress, observe!". Normally, an attack would follow after such a powerful statement, but it stood there, only making flames light up around them inside the room. But nothing else really happened, at least not yet. Maybe someone in the back had been attacked? No, not quite. "... I think he broke."

  16. Jesus christ, someone was going balls to the walls with the violence this time around. When simple hits were enough to do the trick, Freyd seemed to appreciate busting a kneecap or snapping someone's neck just a tad bit more. "The point is to kill the thing, not put it in a wheelchair."

Chase DBP Awkward Silent.pngAs long as damage was being dealt though, that was fine. He ran up to the monster again and slashed it while making his way behind it, before going back to the front with another sideways slash. He wasn't dealing anywhere nearly as much damage as Freyd was, but that was due to a lack of holy procs and being less into the swing of things... right? The colossus tried to hit the boy, but he ended up punching the air either because of blue circling him like a mosquito, or because he moved at a snail's pace in the first place. "He's as slow as he was last time..."

  17. Chase absolutely empathized with her, he would have reacted the exact same. If he could spurt wings out of happiness, god he'd be flying by now. "Yeah, I uh... I was also sleeping in an inn until a while ago. And then I started doing things but someone had to guide me through this mess.", he tried to explain his situation, looking out into the fields and giving her a smile before opening up his menu, and assaulting her with a white message box in her face. A party invite, to be precise.

Chase DBP Happy.pngNow out into the grass and no longer the confines of the safezone, he quietly looked around and gave her a grin. "Come on. Your quest was to pick materials, so just... crouch and pick materials. They shine so you shouldn't have trouble seeing them. I'd help but it won't count for your quest... I think. I've tried.". And what was left of the quiet blue boy had now turned into a chatterbox, happy to have finally found someone to share the absolute anguish of Aincrad with. Learning all this as a non-gamer caused him to suffer having to ask embarrassing questions left and right, but she wouldn't have to worry about the same. "Levelling was easier before too though. You had skill points and every few you got levels, but now you get skill points depending on your levels and there's a stupid thing with experience instead..? E-Either way, you still get levels if you do quests, so... I can help out. You'll need someone that doesn't know how to play games either so you can understand it from a similar viewpoint. Right?". Talk about a sudden change of plans and attitude.

  18. The observer let out a sigh and clapped almost bored, the 'excitement' from his face wiping almost immediately as he looked between the three. "Excellent, you managed to defeat my servant. I bet you're feeling quite excited now, aren't you? You beat the final boss, hooray."his sarcastic demeanor spoke for itself. Noone needed a gigantic brain to figure out he, probably, was the final boss.

Chase DBP Default Uncertain.pngAnd then came the health bars, swinging as soon as they appeared. A massive tag above the boss and its name read much longer than whatever Shadow's name was. "... Yay, the final boss showed up.", he sighed and raised his sword, glaring at "Beezelbulb..." or whatever his name was. The boss seemed hesitant to attack first, that or he was waiting for the players to make their move first. "He won't attack if we don't attack, so whenever you feel ready.""Feeling a bit shy, are we? I'm even giving you the room to run or fight. Which will it be? Staredown to the end of forever, or you'll run with your tails between your legs?"

  19. The "I don't need your help attitude" was somewhat to be expected. He'd have given her the same flak if she was the one trying to help and he didn't know just what sort of position he was in. With a sigh, he scratched the back of his head and followed right behind her, until they were standing near the exit and he got one of those stares.

Chase DBP Surprised.pngWas she for real? Cold beads of sweat began to form on his forehead as he exhaled heavily and looked up at the sky, opening up his menu and showing it to her, pointing at his level. It read 'Level: 31' and right next to it, 'Paragon Level: 56'. His shocked expression quickly switched for a smile and he brightened up like he never had before during his stay in Aincrad. "This is how strong you are. You're level 1. B-But you haven't... played a game before, right?". Hope could be heard in his voice as he even chuckled to himself out of excitement, seeming a bit offputting if not overly endearing. "I-It's been fucking months, god. This is my first game too.", he shared with her before letting out another laugh, feeling his heart racing as he placed a hand on the hilt of his blade, hanging by the belt on his hip. A blade made out of stone, that seemed all good to go and bash some faces- except for the upper half of it that was completely broken off. "This is completely weird, right?", Chase's inquiry seemed to be less related to his sword and more so to the environment they both found themselves in.

A gust of wind blew from the fields they were right about to enter, hitting the back of the boy's neck and sending shivers down his spine. Today wasn't 'maybe a good start'. This might have been what he was asking for from the getgo. Someone else he could share his alienating experiences and feelings with. Not yet, of course, but... This was the closest he'd gotten to another non-gamer before. Just when he'd made up his mind about being the only one stuck in here, finally someone he could relate to had emerged out of nowhere.

  20. So that's what it was, he just used Disguise. That sent Chase back on a trip down memory lane for the nightmares he had trying to figure out what was up with NIGHT, when he realised that he could use Disguise to take the form of the rogue fighting alongside him right now.

Chase DBP Default.pngEven he, who had Disguise, couldn't really use the move properly. He forgot to activate it at most times, and he never used it outside of any combat encounters because he thought one could only take the appearance of players. Useful things to keep in mind, especially now that its effect had been slightly improved, as had Concentration's. More things to correct in his database, hooray... But for now, the green hulk before them. Chase followed up after Freyd's attack, slamming his sword right on the troll's head. Not the brightest idea, seeing as it picked up wind of the both of them and threw its fist at the vanguard and the tank. With a single swing, he dealt a fair bit to the two, although Freyd not as much. What was he packing under the armor even?? "He's very beefy, what the hell?"

  21. It was around now that Chase's gears had finally gotten going again, waking up determined to go do something. But... god knew what. He was clueless, and still somewhat stumped he hadn't gone doing things for a fair while- was it a week, a month, however long? The system update had genuinely crushed him, just when he learned everything it turned itself upside down.

Chase DBP Default Uncertain.pngAnd so, he made his way back to the first floor to feed his nostalgia a tiny bit. He stood outside of the inn he was spending his days away at while level 1, before heading over to Zackariah's. The NPC would probably not remember him, as their routine was to forget players once their scripted dialogue was over, but the update should have fixed that. The 26th floor was so lively, NPCs walking about and getting to their routines, their stares a lot more concentrated and fixed on everything around them than before. So things might have changed. By the time he thought to approach the old man though, a troubled lass had made her way up to him, accepting his request to go gather materials out in the fields. "... She looks older, like Mari.", he huffed upon seeing her, before hearing how troubled she seemed.

Before killing a field boss or two, maybe it was time to get back to that one good deed a day, week, whatever. His legs wouldn't budge while they were both near the shop, so he quietly followed her until she was a bit further, coughing dryly to (very awkwardly) get her attention. "... You're new?", the words came out more charming than the other. If this wasn't a trip down memory lane for his first encounter with Shay and how choppy he used to speak back then, what was this? "I'm a high level. I can help."

  22. Chase didn't feel the need to turn his shoulder and check if it was Freyd or not, at least not right away. When he did turn and open his mouth though, he quickly put one of his hands on his sword's hilt and glared at him, as his expression started becoming less of a glare and more of a disappointed look. "... What in the mother of fuck did you do to yourself.", he asked bluntly, feeling annoyed. Then again, it was at himself for getting startled.

Chase DBP Guilty Silent.pngHe quickly tried to shake it off, opening up his menu and sending a party invite to Freyd, groaning and scratching the back of his head as he looked back out into the fields down in the caves. "There's a trol or whatever you call them somewhere. Field boss? And there's dungeons. I want to try them out. See if Cardinal did some good this time.", he explained the situation as laconically as possible (not much) and pocketed both of his hands. It was going to be a bit hard to look around this floor considering he didn't have a glowstone on himself, but he had no doubt he would fare just fine.

  23. Although surprised at the apologetic look, Chase flinched a bit and looked away before he gave a short nod. "Right.". By now they were already in the throne room, and Lillith was waiting them, ready to fight. The bluehead hadn't seen her up to now but that was alright- she had a red crystal over her head, and a health bar. That's all he had to know.

Chase DBP Glare (Old).pngFreyd gave her and her spawns a strong hit, wiping one out. Chase followed right up, running right at them and slashing all the same, the blue glow of his sword art fading as the other spawn shattered. Lillith hadn't taken too kindly to him though. She began practically dancing with the boy, trying whatever she could to hit him. And without even noticing, he was hit two or three times, as a red effect left Chase and went right to the vampire. He made his way back to the group, seeing himself bleeding and the monster's HP slowly trickling back up. "She's faster than it seems. Hiro, can you take her down?"

    * This quest mob uses its own BD roll when attacking.

    • Vampire | Suffers double damage from Burn, Flame Aura and Flame Thorns. Restores own health by 25% of final damage dealt to opponent, or 50% against targets suffering from Bleed.

    • Blood Fallen | Damage Increases by 25 for each ally or enemy defeated during battle.
    • Blood Spear | After afflicting a player with Bleed three times, creates a spear entirely from the red shards she collects. Her next attack she hurls this into the target, gaining full phase and healing herself an amount equal to the final damage dealt.
    • Vampire Spawn | Lilith always begins combat with two <<Vampire Spawn>> in tow.

  24. Chase decided it might be best to revisit even the older floors. He'd taken a relative break since Cardinal gave them the shaft by completely changing every single system they knew thus far, leaving him almost paralyzed with confusion and better off in his house, playing with Blizz and doing absolutely nothing for a good while. He wasn't sure how long had passed, but it was a while.

Chase DBP Default.pngAnd now, standing back on the 23rd Floor, looking around the fields on the Underdark. He knew that the last person he wanted to hang out with was Freyd just because of sourness from his bad past experiences, but he was one of the more knowledgable players. And so, a personal message was sent to him, pretty prompt and to the point. "I want to explore F23. Come.". Nothing much to be said. He'd heard rumors about field bosses that would be worth looking, and the changes also probably stretched all the way to the sub-dungeons which were now named differently. Just... dungeons, it seems.

  25. Chase wasn't too far out into the fields by the time he saw something peculiar in the forest near Tolbana. A little campsite, or something around those lines. And just then, he could swear his stomach was growling, looking down at it and quietly approaching the camp only to find...

Chase DBP Surprised.png"F-Food. A lot of it.", he grumbled lowly under his breath and approached the cart, seeing the player peek from behind it. Maybe he could strike some form of deal, he thought and quietly looked at the wares, checking his balance before deciding that stocking up for a fair while would probably be best. Not finding himself in a predicament without buffs again, to be on the safe side.
