  1. The other two's warning was all she needed to confirm an ever growing concern within herself. She nodded to Morningstar in response to his question, as well as towards Katoka's own commentary. Whatever elation at the ease of the quest that had built within her, had just as quickly dropped away. Something about Freyd's movements screamed of the dangers to be found in wild animals. Dangerous, wild animals. She was glad he was on their side, for the moment, but the concern in Katoka's voice, as well as the very essence that was Freyd in the moment, spoke to greater concerns for her. 

    "For the time being we should put down these...things. Once they're down, we can try and...focus on that. Give him a breadth of space, just enough that we can rush to his aid if the necessity arises. Not that I expect it to..." Her words drifted off as she surveyed the battlefield once more. Pairs upon pairs had continued to rush out towards them, a never ending stream that made her question just how difficult this quest was as they dropped in succession. "Whatever you do...don't give them any quarters. Make sure that each of you is within range to rush to another's defence. We may be powerful, but we're not immortal. Remember that!"

    She called out even as she rushed back into the wade of conflict, her spear stabbing outwards over and over again as it looked for weak points and flesh. The horse beneath her pawed the ground in anticipation, it's hooves scratching across dirt and cobble alike in a showy glow of spark and strike. She had no doubts that they would be through this horde soon enough, but she wasn't entirely sure whether that would bring everything to a closure, or if there were more concerns to be had.

    Armageddon |  After defeating 10 Blightbound Monstrosities, The Blight’s protection wanes. All Players must spend a post action to activate Armageddon. The Wrath of Heaven will rain down and smite The Blight, ending the quest (see Epilogue).

They just kept coming, and as Nari saw another shatter into pieces, being replaced by a duplicate copy of the creature as it stepped out from somewhere that had provided cover for it, she couldn't help but squeal a bit in rage. Striding forwards, she caused her horse to spin slightly on the spot, as if an olden time general turning to call out to their soldiers. The image didn't feel fitting to Nari, somehow, and even as she spoke aloud, she felt silly doing so.

    "Everyone make sure to stick together! It doesn't matter how many come, so long as we're aligned to face them, they will falter and fall! Katoka, keep up the great work! Morningstar, Freyd, with me! Charge these bastards and send them back to whatever hells they arose from early this morning in the most incorrect decision they've ever made in their nine second lives!" Perhaps she had gotten a bit carried away, but as she turned back and readied herself, she realised she didn't really care. They were here to play a roleplaying game, and that's what she'd do; even if only for a single moment of their entire existence here.

    She gave the horse beneath her a tap with her heels, urging the beast on towards the Blightbounds, determined to at least lead the other two in their mad attack against the creatures. She wasn't sure how many they would need to bring down, but she did know that they wouldn't be here forever. The game wouldn't do that to us, surely. I mean, that would just be evil

  5. Two of the pirates simply disappeared beneath Star's blade, reduced to shimmering shards upon the air in an instant as the power of his weapon tore them asunder. She almost laughed as Star's voice mentioned from behind her how nice it was to have an actual tank, rather than an individual who simply danced around the battlefield. She kept her shield raised in front of her as the pirate continued some weird litany of a song or chant, and while it felt like they were trying to summon something, Nari figured they were safe for the moment.

    "I've fought with Freyd, I kinda know what you mean. He's amazing in his own way." The pirate had stopped it's weird chanting song that it had been doing, and Nari found her eyes turning back towards it as she prepared for...something. "I do wish I could do as much damage as you guys, but...well, at least I can do this."

    She stepped forwards and brought the spear up, letting the tip alight with violet coloured flames before driving it towards the pirate. She aimed for the centre of mass, hoping to hit something flammable that would, in turn, alight the man into a walking, screaming bundle of flame that would lead to it's eventual demise. Or, worst comes to worst, light the wall beside it aflame if she missed.

  7. She could hear the sounds of the knights approaching, a soft thumping in the distance that had been growing ever more loudly in the past few seconds. Nari watched, in a mixture of confusion and amusement, as Jevi seemed to scramble about, looking for somewhere to hide herself. She repressed the need to burst out into laughter, walking over to the girl and grabbing her on the shoulders before pushing her towards a divot in roadway that seemed to be well covered in shadows.

    "As adorable as it is to watch you bluster about...try hiding here. The less you move, the more concealed you're going to be, so just...you know, lay still?" She turned and looked about the area for herself, noticing that the nearby tunnel entrance held a number of shadowed areas that could work for her own hiding spot. She was worried about moving too far away from Jevi, however, and paused as she considered her options. Not that there were many - her bulkier build meant that she required a lot more concealment than her companion.

    Sighing, realising that she had little choice in the matter, she ducked into an alcove that provided her a decent view over the area, and the ability to launch herself from it should the knights get too close, or discover Jevi hiding...well, wherever she ended up hiding herself.

  8. She'd stopped at the sudden soft word from NIGHT, coming to an immediate halt in place as she turned to look at the other player. There was no concern regarding her own safety - Lilith paid no heed to her at all, at this point. She was certain the vampiress, if it could've had any sort of thoughts of it's own, considered Nari as little more than an annoying fly buzzing around her head.

    She watched as NIGHT strode forward, strucking the vampiress with a movement of ease, and then turned on Nari and began directing her into their plan of action. It was simple, really - land a critical strike against a weak point, or stun the evil thing. She snarled in response, not to NIGHT's words, but to the fact that she was entirely useless in the position she was in.

    "Fine. I'll give it one more try. If I still miss...which, let's be honest, I'm going to - why did I ever give up tanking? - then stun it and I'll see if she can't somehow completely avoid me still." Tired of the dance, she gave a heavy sigh before picking up her scythe and moving towards the vampiress, hoping that maybe by moving slowly and in a more controlled manner she could somehow land the final blow. She whispered under her breath as she went, hoping NIGHT wouldn't hear her. "Really great way to appear super amazing and self-sufficient and appealing...well done Nari, well done."

    Blood Frenzy | All foes in combat against Lilith, the Undying suffer a constant Bleed effect corresponding to their tier.
    Bloodbath | On MD rolls of 9-10, Lilith's attack becomes an AoE that automatically strikes all players, dealing 125 unmitigable damage and preventings Battle Healing from activating for two turns. This replaces her normal attack and is considered a bleed effect that triggers the benefits of Restorative Strike.
    Crazed | Immune to disabling effects of Stun, Paralyze, and Freeze. Lilith the Undying's EVA will reduce by 2 for 2 turns for every Disabling effect that hits her, to a minimum of 0.
    Undying | Cannot be reduced below 1 HP, except by a blow dealt using the <<Sanctified Sword>>. 
    Restorative Strike | Whenever any player suffers Bleed damage from Lilith's attacks and abilities, Lilith regains an equal number of HP

  9. "Oh, no, no pressure at all. Also yeah, I'm like, ninety-nine percent sure that it is, in fact, somehow directly related to her death. These vampire stories always have only one way to kill the vampire right? With our luck, it's this freaking...useless...piece of...garbage...scythe!" The weapon slashed out time and time again, attempting to land a strike on the vampire without success - and the frustration in Nari's voice became more apparent with every swing. "Aaaaggghhhh! Stupid. Freaking. Scythe!"

    She would've thrown the weapon to the side and donned her normal piece, if not for the fact that she was positive that she needed it to bring Lilith down. Which meant she had no option other than to continue swinging wildly at the vampire, until such time as she managed a miraculous strike against the vampiress. Even so, she found herself growling even as she pressed her attack, giving way of anything but pure fury in the moment. "If it weren't for this piece of junk I might actually have been able to help you on this! Especially considering I requested your help! This is! So! Stupid!"

    Boss Room Effect | All players immediately regain full HP and EN at the beginning of this battle. Active cooldowns are unaffected.
    Undead | The Holy enhancement is twice as effective against this mob. Vampiric (Offensive and Defensive) enhancements are only half as effective in combat with this mob.
    Vampire | Suffers triple damage from Burn, Flame Aura, and Flame Thorns.
    Blood Frenzy | All foes in combat against Lilith, the Undying suffer a constant Bleed effect corresponding to their tier.
    Bloodbath | On MD rolls of 9-10, Lilith's attack becomes an AoE that automatically strikes all players, dealing 125 unmitigable damage and preventings Battle Healing from activating for two turns.     Undying | Cannot be reduced below 1 HP, except by a blow dealt using the <<Sanctified Sword>>. 
    Restorative Strike | Whenever any player suffers Bleed damage from Lilith's attacks and abilities, Lilith regains an equal number of HP

  11. Morningstar reacted immediately, moving past Nari in a display of athleticism and dexterity and engaging the pirates. She eyed the space, realising that there wasn't a ton of room to move in, a point made more clearly when the blonde missed a strike due to a sudden burst of steam, the pipeline giving way as the ship deteriorated more with every passing second.  She knew that she wouldn't be able to push up alongside him - it would only hinder both of their abilities to move, and made little sense in the long run of the fight. At the same time, she also knew that she needed to be at the forefront, doing what she did best.

    "Get ready, I'm going to sweep in and past, once I say so duck out of the way!" She called out as she backed up a few steps. She waited as the ship rocked slightly, until it had settled again - as much as a burning airship could settle when it was quickly moving towards it's grave. "Now!"

    A sudden rush and she leapt forward and up, bouncing her shoulder off the roof as she turned and twisted in the air to leap over Morningstar's form and towards the pirates. Even as she was in the air, she aimed her spear for the closest of them, drawing it backwards in preparation to stab out at each one of them the second that her feet touched the ground.

"I don't know if I'd call this making new pirate friends...or a good thing, actually...in fact, I'm pretty sure-" She stepped back as Morningstar slid past her and finished off the pirate that had been blocking their path, leaving them alone for the moment. "-that I said I wanted nothing more to do with pirates. Are you even listening?"

    Her voice was filled with exasperation as Morningstar began to move on, pausing only to mention that he had heard something. Nari tilted her head, trying to pinpoint the location it had come from. She wasn't entirely certain, with the general sounds of the dying and broken ship popping around them, but she felt like it had come from up ahead and towards the right side. "This way...I think..."

    She moved forwards, passing Morningstar once more as she tried to spy around the corner. Her spear was held at the ready, the point of it aiming for the corridor as she came closer and closer to the edge. She gave a single glance back towards Morningstar, before turning the corner and pulling up her shield. Before her stood a trio of pirates, each suddenly frozen in a position that had clearly been their attempt at sneaking forwards towards the two players. "Hey Star, more friends of yours..."

The gold had been planted, the entire area rearranged to look relatively abandoned, and as Jevi came back with the small collection of mushrooms, Nari couldn't help but think they had an actual chance of completing the task at hand. Everything was lining up nearly perfectly, and although she felt like they'd already done more than enough, there was a small itching in the back of her mind. There's more we can do...maybe a few more of the mushrooms? That would definitely make it look older, and more abandoned, wouldn't it? Or is that too much...?

    "Hey, I'm gonna go grab a few more, make it look really abandoned, yeah? I'll be back in a moment!" She didn't wait for a reply from Jevi, simply dashing off into the distance where she had last seen a handle of the mushrooms tucked into a darker area. Her hands moved quickly, gathering up the mushrooms before dashing back towards where she'd left Jevi and Ureka. In a rush, but careful not to damage the mushrooms themselves, she transplanted the pieces with a care that had come from her experience working and gathering from the natural world - while not a green thumb by any means, it was a skill that had enough practice behind it that it was able to be completed without destroying anything vital. "There, that should do it...now we need to find a place to hide out and wait..."
