Nari glanced over at Koga, eyeing him for a moment. She felt a bit of happiness at his acknowledgement of her skill – two simple words, but she had a feeling he wouldn’t say them unless he truly meant it. ‘Tell him why already. It’s why you dragged him out here to begin with.’ Scowling at the voice in her head, she’ll sheath her sword, wandering over to a set of red, blue and yellow tulips near Koga’s left. Kneeling down, pressing her fingers into the dirt, she’ll start to knead away the grass and dirt beneath. Slowly, the calmly affect washing over her, her anger dissipating slightly, sh

Feeling the claws rake across her side, Nari gave a sudden growl, lunging forward and dancing with the wolf, side stepping and bouncing backwards as it matched her feints. She felt the growl growing in her throat, knowing that soon – it would come out as a scream, the words escaping her lips as her face remained deadly calm, the sound the only change in her otherwise controlled state. She side stepped to the left again, ducking and rolling slightly as the wolf tried to catch her again, before leaping to her feet and entering her guard again. She could see – although barely registered – th

Having decided to visit Bismuth’s little shop again, Nari had ventured down towards floor 3, making her way out of the main settlement area and across to the small village of Flora. As she entered the village, she heard the cries of a nearby woman, drawing her attention to an NPC quickly making her way towards her. Nari sighed, realizing she was about to get caught up in something that she wasn’t sure she actually wanted to be involved with. The NPC began its speech as soon as it had reached Nari, speaking quickly with a tone of panic and pleading. Nari listened with half an ear, taking

Remembering her promise to visit the small restaurant that Bismuth had opened up, Nari stepped off the teleporter pad and onto the main walkway of Floor 3’s main town. Although she’d been here before, the general overgrowth that held the town caught Nari’s eyes – so different from her own home. She could understand why Bismuth had found a home here – even if it was just temporary, or for his business. Smiling slightly to herself, she began the small trek down through the settlement of Aruyt, passing a few other players on her way – but keeping to herself. She had thoughts enough to keep her pr

Nari stepped off the teleporter platform in what was essentially a rendition of a mountain city she had once seen in another MMORPG game. A tall structure – said to house a large bazaar, and her destination for the day, hovered over the rest of the area, standing out against the other locations in its immensity. She glanced about as she stepped off, eyeing up the numerous NPCs and assortment of players that had made their way to this same location, noticing the stark difference in them. The NPCs wore what appeared to be bold coloured woolen clothing, while the players moved around in either le

Nari’s eyes focused on the wolf in front of her, blade levelled out towards it as she heard Koga calling out. Without breaking her gaze, she nodded slightly, likely barely visible to the other player. Side stepping to her left slightly, trying to dry an opening from the one she had previously attacked, she called out to the man, her voice carrying an emotionless, flat tone. “Bring it to greet Death, and let it be judged.” Her eyes honed in on a single spot on the wolf’s body, suddenly zeroing in on her target. A half step forward, followed by another, slowly closing the distance between h

Nari smiled at Bismuth as he talked, she could feel the passion coming from him as he explained about his restaurant – a passion that she herself felt whenever she entered her forge. She knew it well, and respected the enthusiasm. “You’ve finally opened it, eh? I guess we’ll have to drop by and have something to eat! I bet it’s wonderful!” Eyes suddenly glancing around, she’ll raise her voice, adding, “Oh, and – make sure to keep some extra utensils lying around for use. Just in case. Wouldn’t want someone to be without a backup option.” Smiling at Bismuth again, she’ll draw her swor -
Ignoring Koga’s confusion, Nari stepped across the field towards the pair of wolves, readying her sword as she went. “Hey! Dipshits! Have you made peace, with Death?” Her eyes had locked onto her target – the left most wolf, staring at it with an intense hatred. Emotions rolling through her heart, her face was surprisingly stoic – empty of anger, suffering, even happiness – replaced instead with a cold look of unrestricted violence. Her shield held steady before her, she considered her approach – knowing very well that the first strike was the most important. She was distinctly aware that

Nari wandered into the forge, the fire barely burning – but providing a soft glow against the otherwise ever dark area. She’d had her first customer – something she would remember fondly. And although things hadn’t been going… well, in many areas – she felt she was one step closer to the front lines. A place that she so desperately wanted to be. Glancing at the hammer on the anvil, she knew of another area she still needed to practice. She was getting better, but… Picking up the hammer, she went to work, focusing on the heavy armour she would need now that she had grown so much str -
“I…” Nari thought back to that night, trying to figure out exactly what had been the tipping point. So much had occurred… she couldn’t quite determine exactly what had been the true angering piece. Sure, the disappearing act. But that was towards the end, and as Koga had said…two sided. Was it the reaction? The condescending? Or was it… something else. “I’m not… sure…” She paused in her foraging, thinking back on the night. Thinking back on when everything went downhill. Thinking back on how much she had shared. She’d basically been an opening book, holding back only the dearest of secret

Nari smiled at Koga, waving a hand towards the girl. “Oh, you two know each other already? Awesome! I was going to show her around a bit, maybe introduce her-“ Nari heard the announcement, and her words stopped, her heart clenching. She knew what that meant. Eyes turning cold, distant and full of an emotion she rarely felt, she stepped away from the others, her words carrying behind her as she did so – barely audible, but mumbled nonetheless. “Right…time to fight. I’ll, uh, come back later. Hopefully you two enjoy the show…” Without another word she headed out, collecting herse -
Nari stopped midway through her rant – her mouth opening and closing a few times before snapping shut. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, and she opened her mouth to speak again, raising a hand as if to contribute to her argument with the single digit that was up. Her voice hesitated, and for a moment she simply stood, finger raised, mouth open, silent. Shaking her head, she forced the words out. “Yeah, but…well…I was…look she pissed me off!” The excuse ran hollow to her own ears, and Nari felt herself scowl. Kicking at the dirt, she stared death at the ground beneath her. This wasn’t

Nari felt the strike against her shoulder this time, causing her to twist and turn. She knew that she should reset herself, to ready herself against the chance that she may recklessly take herself out of this tournament. Everything within her collided, the combat between reckless fury, years of training, and the anger of a woman scorned. Something snapped within her. A sudden change in her stance – the fury on her face gone, replaced with the stoic, emotionless battle appearance she wore when fighting. Everything suddenly calmed, her heart slowed down, the emotions in her mind receded. S -

Nari smiled at the girl – a memory of her own awkwardness around people she didn’t know coming back to her. She had changed…a lot, in the recent times. Glancing around, she looked for who nearby might be worth introducing the poor girl to, thinking that maybe a bit of distraction might help calm her. She spotted Koga not too far away, waving at the man to draw his attention. “Hey! Koga! Come here, I have someone I want to introduce you to!” Glancing back towards Xena, Nari will add, “Koga is great, he’s been…well, a great friend. Once you get passed his…loner demeaner. He enjoys hi -

Nari felt the strike against her, barely registering it. Her face was locked into a scowl of absolute hatred as she stepped back, giving herself space for what she knew would be a reckless attack – but she didn’t care. Rushing forward, she watched as the spear lashed out, almost expertly handled in its attempt to strike her as she approached – but Nari had long ago learnt the ways of the polearm, something she had been trained in with her days of Aikido. Kicking off at the last second, she twirled around the spear’s reach, bringing herself twisting towards her right side, allowing the bok -

Nari spotted the familiar girl from the encounter with the minotaur, even with the cloak pulled up over her head, as if to hide herself away. Although frustration still held her heart – she was not looking forward to what was to come, or was she? It didn’t really matter now, did it – she knew that the new face would likely enjoy some company. Nari could tell that Xena seemed a little uncomfortable in the area – either from the amount of people, or something else Nari couldn’t quite tell. Whatever it was, she knew that she should go try and relax the girl – a sudden image of a smiling face lead -

Her attention drawn as the second round display board was placed, Nari felt her face frown slightly at the realisation there had been a last minute adjustment to the rounds. Nari stepped into the sparring square, glancing again at the board for opponents. She had expected to fight Alkor – a man who seemed to contain an absolute essence of pure fighting spirit. She had wondered how she would fair against someone like him. But instead… Astreya had been the one to point out that she wasn’t to face Alkor. Instead, she’d be facing someone else – someone whom she felt she had a vendetta to settle with. She wondered if somehow word had gotten around… ‘Likely Koga’s doing. Although…’ She couldn’t imagine Koga doing something like this – well, not intentionally a -
Waving her hands wildly as she walked, Nari began retelling events that had played in her mind for the past little while – spoken only aloud to the little fox on her shoulder. She felt the emotions rushing back as she spoke, her voice taking on a tone of anger and frustration as she continued. “Well, everything started out horribly. The date itself – who am I kidding. It wasn’t a date. It was a disaster. I was crying. NIGHT was… NIGHT. We ended up arguing about what our purpose in this game was. And then – I took her home. Figured I’d apologise for such a bad dinner. It was awful, mind yo

Nari felt a burst of pride as she wondered into her workshop – the new tool addition hanging against the side of the anvil’s table, a spot of honour for it. It had been painful to collect, but she was about to find out if all the work was worth it or not. While Yuki bounded off to her usual spot on the workbench, Nari moved herself to the anvil, picking up the hammer and testing its weight and balance, before collecting the materials she would need for the job. She had already decided what she would make today, and now just needed to bring it to life. -

Nari-Lanreth replied to Koga's topic in Intermediate Floors
Nibbling on the proffered cookie, Nari couldn’t react fast enough as the chair tipped backwards, giving out beneath Astreya and causing the girl to learn the harsh truth about gravity – even in this system, the basic fundamentals still won. Offering a hand to help Astreya up, Nari will grin slyly, quietly adding, “That looked like it hurt…” Glancing towards the table and the cards, she’ll frown slightly, still trying to figure out the game itself. It appeared to be a combination of adding numbers pre-designated to cards, to get to a maximum amount. The call of ‘hit me’ was…. An annoy -

Nari drifted back towards the group, hearing her name being spoken not once, but twice. Her curiosity peaked, she found the group joined by a newcomer, and from the sounds of it – he was to be her next opponent. Bowing slightly, Nari will look the newcomer in the eyes, a stoic expression on her face as she speaks to him. “I’m Nari. I hear we’re to spar next. From what I’ve heard, you’re a capable fighter. I look forward to our contest, and hope that you provide a challenge.” Her eyes seem somewhat distant as she speaks, as if her mind is off somewhere else. Memories flashing before h
