[F1 | PP] [EV] Friend of a Friend | <<Fatal Error>>
Sable replied to Acanthus's topic in Beginner Floors
Sable was thankful for Acanthus taking the reigns on this one. He was inexperienced negotiating with anyone, though after she dropped a bag of money on the table that could have easily bought him a home he was convinced that she didn't know much about negotiating either. Krow was fairly forthcoming with her information, but who wouldn't be with that amount of col in their pockets. Nodding a long the boy took a sip from his ale and was disappointed with the results. It had a pleasant enough flavor but wasn't it supposed to do something? Could you not get drunk in SAO? This made him frown as he -

"Oh! Right, my name is Sable." he extended a hand, embarrassed that he had forgotten to introduce himself. *** Their trip to the second floor had been uneventful. Sable had attempted to make small talk here and there but eventually he just fell into line. The crowded streets of Urbus made the scout feel as though he could be mindful of his wallet. Between the rough looking individuals and the beggars on the sides, it almost made you feel bad for them. He had to take a moment to remind himself that the NPC's were just programs, they weren't real and they weren't actually poor or starv -

She had said 'we'. Sable had accepted the fact that the person he had spoken to for the first time today would not be accompanying him anywhere. Hell he was certain it would have taken weeks of them exchanging pleasantries before he would have even gotten another chance to truly speak to her. Now she was waiting for him to get ready and follow her to. Wait had she said the 29th floor? He opened his mouth but no words came out. Stopping for a moment in confusion he held up a finger for her to wait as he stepped around the tree just out of view from her. He took a deep breath, holding -

He almost snorted at her quick response. He didn't want to mention anyone dying, it had felt almost taboo to talk about, at least around the first floor. As they two of them stopped at a nearby tree Sable nodded along as the woman spoke. This had been the first time he had really gotten a good look at her. She was strikingly beautiful. He smiled at her jab to the other frontliners, "I've heard that from other as well. I suppose showing up to fight the boss is the bare minimum for a few of them huh?" Her question about an info broker was a good one, he held his chin and thought for a bit. -

Routine. This had been what kept Sable somewhat sane. After all, what else would you do when you were trapped in a place like this? Ever since high school he had gotten up first thing in the morning and ran. It was hell at first. Sure he was fast, but there's a difference between running in short bursts, and running. With time it became easier, and he could go farther and longer. Joining the track club had helped immensely. By the time he graduated it had become a habit. And now here he was, imprisoned in a virtual world, and he was still getting up at dawn to run. It was almost easi -
Watchful eyes followed the shark that swam through the sand as if it was water. Sable adjusted the grip on his dagger, the threat of it slipping from his hand ever present as sweat from the desert heat (and the battle before him) trickled down his arms and the small of his back. He knew logically that no harm would come towards him, he could see that Terra Firma only had eyes for the katana wielding man giving orders, but deep down he could feel the fear from his primal monkey brain clawing it's way to his frontal lobe. His other party members kept up their assault against their opponent

Seeing their party leader jump in like the massive thing before them was nothing but a goldfish caused Sable's jaw to nearly unhinge for a moment. Sure, he knew that Freyd was strong, he could tell just by looking at him. He could also tell he was much higher in level when they all joined the same party. Seeing everything in action was a different story. Watching his two other companions jump in shook him out of his stupor. It felt idiotic running in like this, but it should be fine right? The man wielding a katana had promised them all that he would keep the sharks attention. Sable's fee

Sable nodded to you young woman wearing a mask that had introduced herself to him, "It's nice to meet you." he responded reflexively. He had turned to the other person in their rag tag party expecting a similar exchange of pleasantries and frowned when he wasn't acknowledged. Some people aren't ones for small talk. As the group left the cafe Sable munched on the food Freyd provided, attempting to take note of the buffs he had received and keep track of the conversation. "Did I bite off more than I can chew?" he thought to himself as they all trudged through the red sand. As they neared th

Sand. Sable hated sand. It always got into places that it shouldn't and it made running difficult. Not to mention it was annoyingly hot as well. If he wasn't already at the specified location he would have already turned around and went back to the first floor. He knew that there were a few quests that were more on his level (literally) but the offer to be taken through a higher level quest in order to boost his number faster was too good to pass up. So here he was, trudging through the sand and finally into the safe zone on the fifth floor in search of a guy in black. "Who in t

"W-Wait what?!" the young man asked as he stood in front of the shopkeep, a handful of mats and col in each hand. "I-Are you sure?" Sable took the armor from Bahr and stared at it for a few seconds before putting it in his inventory. He looked up at the man before him and nodded, "Thank you. I'm make sure to put it to good use." with that he gave his goodbyes and left the shop. Taking a deep breath he stretched a bit before returning to a jog, making sure to retrace his path back to the safer side of the city. ---- Sable picks up:

[F22 | Omni-crafter] Sentinel Armaments (Open)
Sable replied to Wulfrin's topic in Merchants and Shops
Hesitant to venture up from the first floor with little to no gear, Sable managed to find the blacksmith that he had heard makes gear for people that were in need. The young player was indeed ready for what was to come. Ready mentally that is, as he still needed a weapon he could count on. Arriving at the open concept smithy the young man inspected the premade wares that lined the racks. Everything looked exquisitely crafted, as if the atmosphere of the floor had been poured into every piece. "Yeah, I think this place will do." he smiled and approached the man as he worked, "I'd like to p -
Stepping into the shop Sable felt as though he had entered a completely different floor. The sights and sounds of the outside seemed to melt away and he was filled with a sense of warmth and protection. It had nearly knocked him on his rear. Blinking his eyes a few times to focus the young man stepped further inside to better inspect the gadgets and doodads that were placed along the shelves and displays. "All these things are so well made. I'd expect craftmanship like this in an NPC shop more than one ran by a person." After taking his time to inspect the items one seemed to catch his ey

Realizing too late that he had taken a wrong turn on his morning run, Sable stopped in front of the Crusty Barnacle and raised a brow as he attempted to read the sign. After a fourth attempt he finally stepped up and opened the door to tale a peek inside. The interior was so stark a contrast that it surprised him. His eyes scanned the cases and shelves, soaking in their contents with great interest. Taking a moment to get his bearings the young man approached the front counter, fulling committed to the decision of his order. "Hey, uh, I'd like to get some armor if possible?" ----
