[OP-F1-NK] Meet Up

Recommended Posts

Bhairyuu chuckled as he saw Khrysaor had finally made it over to where he and  @Letty were standing with Domarus and his friend and nodded towards Letty, introducing her to Khrys

"This is Letty, and she is the "lucky customer" you are referring to, bud. Apparently she doesn't like the standard breastplate she received and wants to have one more suited to her...er...size...so I thought since you did such a fine job with my custom-order sword, you could help her out too...so how about it?"

Saying thus, Bhairyuu looked between Letty and @Khrysaor for signs of approval of his proposition and then fell silent as he waited for Letty's response, wondering if she would really go through with the deal he proposed to her earlier. As he waited he studied Letty, Domarus and his friend Keres are they interacted, wondering if he could glean any info on Domarus since he looked like he could be a valuable ally for the plan he was going to set into motion to make good on his oath, which was the sole reason he came to the world of SAO.

It had been a while since Teayre had come to the first floor. She could see Starting City in the distance. Her eyes closing as the remembered the Starlight Café and the strawberry sundaes they did. Her mouth watered slightly before she wiped it on the back of her sleeve. The red head’s eyes narrowed as she saw several players gathering just outside the safe zone. A couple of them she recognised. Macradon. Lessa. Beatbox. Khrysaor.  Kasier. “These parties seem to be getting quite popular…”

Closing her eyes Teayre leant back in the grass, looking up to the sky she let out a sigh. “I wonder what he’s doing at the moment.” Blue hair flashed through her mind. All the different times they’d fought together. The toad on the seventh floor underneath one of the mountains. The young dragon on the fourth floor. A grin came over her face. “A lot of people don’t like me.” She let out a snort. “Who cares? I did what I did.” She opens her eyes looking at the clouds above her.

They both seemed to have a cold thought when the mentioning of Dom was spoken of. Both seemed to have been good friends with the Berserker, which didn’t seem to be that fancy at all, as Dom was quite the charismatic guy. Giving out a slight sigh as to brush off the thought of grief over Dom, Macradon listened to the next sentence that @Lessa would propose to him. “No, not at all. I was never a brigadier, though I wanted to be one for a long time. I’d been guildless for quite some time before I joined the guild I’m in now, where I’m Vanguard Commander” he said. “But I had been attending some of their events, so that might’ve been where we’ve seen each other” he would say, thinking that that was the probable answer to this quarrel. The hands would shake as Lessa would give out her name, which in turn Macradon would smile as she mentioned him already knowing that. “I assume so, I’ve been hearing a bit about it when people walked by my shop, so I guess I wanted to see what was going on. The last event that was held was quite the spectacle, so I suppose this won’t be just as fun” he said with a grin spread across his face.

After the hug and the greeting, Ivory moved on to greet all the other people that were here. Aereth saw some people he knew, like Lessa, Beatbox and Domarus. But also a whole lot of people he didn't know were here. Almost all of them were gathered in small groups to chat and have fun. Then he noticed an exception.

The girl was walking through the crowds alone, and it looked like nobody recognized her. For some reason it looked like she was looking for something in the area. Sadly Aereth also noticed that he also was standing alone with nobody to talk to, so he decided to go over to the black-haired girl and talk to her.

"Hey, seems like we are the only ones here who don't have anybody to talk to." he said to the girl as he made his way over to her. "By the way. My name is Aereth, and it's nice to meet you." he said while offering his had for a handshake.

Raze nodded in response to Zulas' answer to his request. "I understand."

Startled, Raze turned towards the player that had spoken, telling him that what he said is irrational. It's true, I should be fighting this battle alone, but I don't think I can. Raze went to call out to the woman, but she was already moving away, and the words he wanted to speak died in his throat. My name is Raze...

"I think I screwed up again." Raze muttered, this lady probably thought he was being rude. Was he?

Giving his attention to Zulas, Raze formed the necessary words to say,

"I'd like to do this 'mission' by my lonesome, but I don't think I can."

He paused for a second before going on,

"So I figured I'd ask you, and then recruit a healer."

Raze subconsciously runs his hand through his hair, talking gently but firmly,

"But no one showed up, when I put a notice up."

"Do you know anyone that could help?"

Zulas looked back looked at the sky, with a hand on his chin. He thought about that for a second before responding, "Yeah, I think you're right. But eventually it has to be done." - was all he could say.

"You have helped in the past, so I will help you." - Zulas stated. He looked forward to the idea of teaming up with Raze once more. He thought that they made a good team, when it was weak monsters. The idea of fighting a much tougher opponent by themselves was something that Zulas had thought about before, but albeit briefly. He accepted that he needed to get a piece of armor before venturing out to fight monsters in higher floors. "Well, the woman that I was talking is definitely a healer. Asking her is one thing, but that she accepts is another... we can send her a message later."

Zulas looked at @Raze for a moment and decided to change the subject. "So... Raze, do you know anybody here?" - was all he could ask the silver haired man. There was nothing that they could both talk about besides the game, so Zulas decided to keep somewhat related to it. Even hardcore players need a break now and then, he thought to himself.

Teayre. Kasier snapped in recognition as soon as she saw the red hued coloring in the background. The woman was laying on the soft, green grass, probably enjoying the sun which bathed on her face. The woman seemed to be at peace in the distance, and hence, Kasier decided that she will not ruin the moment for her. Instead, she would go over and perhaps get involved with a few of the groups who seem to be friendly and experienced enough. Before she could begin to walk though, she watched as a black-haired man walked over and gave out his hand for her to shake. Polite. She remarked, staring at the man. He looks serious... And middle-aged. She guessed, already submitting a first impression of the man. It had been a while since someone specifically came to her and introduced themselves. Perhaps she was finally making a name for herself as a healer or maybe she just didn't look like she was bothered enough to communicate with people. She was glad that someone finally decided to come and talk though, since she was getting rather bored and things were becoming more awkward by the second. "Indeed," she said, leaning over and accepting the man's handshake. "The name is Kasier." She said simply. She had learnt not to give away too much upon first meeting in this world because everything can be used against you whether it be your username or skills and etc. Everything had a risk in this game... And hence, she had learned that reserving certain facts were extremely useful in keeping a player safe in this world of Aincrad. Which means... I shouldn't tell him anything else but my username such as guild and role. She decided. "Have you enjoyed the party so far?"

Domarus watched as the girl finished greeting another player before turning to Domarus himself.  She showed a blank expression, showing no emotion at all as she walked up to the two players and moved in close to Keres first, sniffing her.  Keres grinned as the girl sniffed her and was tempted to make her embarrassed with a comment or an action due to how close the girl was to herself but she subsided the thought.  It might ruin the event if she started embarrassing everyone.  The girl then moved to Domarus, smelling him as well and he stood completely still as she did so.  When she withdrew, her comment made domarus curious.  She wasn't an animal so how on earth could she determine what they were like by smelling?  However he decided this was either a weird habit of hers, or just for show, because he doubted anything that could smell personalities would determine him ok.  When she gave her offer Domarus chuckled outwardly.

"Nice to meet you Letty.  It doesn't bother me, though that's the first time that's happened to me.  As for assistance I was actually about to tell players here the same thing."  When the girl winked Keres grinned, a little of her mischievous 'want to embarrass others cause it's fun' personality slipping into her grin, showing that she was a playful person to be around.  Domarus was going to continue the conversation when he noticed a third party approach and watched as the player spoke rather swiftly, shot his hand out, and after Domarus shook the man's hand noticed the player looked around before he had received and answer.  Energetic, and happy go lucky.  Great he thought.  When the player actually looked at Domarus he noted that he was not attempting deception.  Through all of this he smiled and nodded.

"Hello Khrysaor, my name's Domarus and this is Keres.  We're doing fine thank you.  How about yourself?  And I wouldn't call it a party more as a greeting session."  He then spotted a red haired player with an orange cursor above her some distance away.  Her expression told him that she was a woman to be feared, and yet she wouldn't have come here to kill with so many players gathered together.  It was too dangerous since she could be caught by stronger players.  This meant that her deadly appearance was just a show, though he knew she could kill several of them should she choose to.  Whether he spoke to the woman in person or gathered his information indirectly, she was a player whom he definitely needed info on.

"With that orange crystal floating over your head, you stick out like a sore thumb." The voice was familiar yet the sun was casting down on the female only creating a dark, unfamiliar face. It was until Opal took a moment to collect her thoughts, she was armed with her Masamune X, but she was not here to pick a fight with Teayre.

"We need to talk," the woman said finally sitting down beside the Crimson Maiden. She brought her feet up close before finally relaxing in the grass and placing her sheathed weapon to the side. "I spoke with Calrex a little while ago, and he has assured me you are not as careless as your crystal makes you out to be. I need to break words with you on why I joined Laughing Coffin. A killer knows a killer, they could see it in their eyes the moment they meet. Those who have taken a soul and dragged their very being through the gallows. We each share that, but we are also very different than one another. Teayre. I am a Player Killer Killer, I am not sure if that is a normal term or not, but I avenge those who have fallen wrongfully. I plan to remove all the orange from this world in order to protect the people. It might sound like a selfish and impossible goal, but while I have been in Laughing Coffin, I have been able to attain knowledge of their hideouts, the Leader and his Generals so to speak. Eventually will come a time when I destroy them, and after that...I will come hunt down people like you."

There was a coldness in her voice, yet she she bit back on her anger, "I sometimes talk too much, sometimes I talk too little. I like to deceive players, because its easy to use them as tools where needed. But Calrex, he is a friend and he showed some backbone and even went as far as showing me what he is capable of doing. However, his weakness is you. Should you act like a Monster, I don't think he could kill you. He has too much love for you, and that is selfish of him. And that is where I step in."

Opal's violet colored eyes skimmed over the surface of her Masamune and then back at Teayre, "Help me understand why you are an Orange Player. Tell me why you killed Manta and Ebony, tell me why you have chosen this path. Speak with honesty, because depending on your answers will create the outcome of your future as well as my own. I have all day to relax, so tell me your story." Opal finally looked at Teayre, dead in the eye. There was no friendly duel, no challenge. But she wanted to know Teayre and why she had chosen such a destructive and life takin' path.

Letty nodded once Bhairyuu introduced herself to Khrysaor. Letty grabbed Khrysaor's hand and shook it quickly. "I'm Letty, but you probably know that already thanks to Bhairyuu! I'm supposed to be your "Lucky Customer" from what I've heard? Anyway, I'll let you see the breastplate for yourself." Letty said as she opened her menu and unequiped her breastplate, and handed it to Khrysaor. After that, she sniffed Khrysaor quickly. "Sorry about that, it is just a little habit I have." Letty smiled again while winking at Bhairyuu and Khrysaor. "So, do you think you will be able to make a new one for me?" Letty asked.

"Baby steps... baby steps..." Ken told himself as he roamed the streets of the Town of Beginnings. He had hoped this game came with some tutorial, but it seemed that they just threw you right in and you had to figure everything out. I mean, it's not actually a bad idea as it pretty much pushed players to explore the game more, but for someone like Ken, he wants to learn how to control this game properly. He's not someone who's exactly what you would call the social type. In fact, he's the complete opposite of what you'd call social. He's a recluse who likes to keep to himself and play games by himself. The only real reason he's even here in the first place was cause his foster parents thought that this game could be a nice change for him, but it turned out to be more of a horrific change in the end.

As he roamed the streets, he eventually spots what seems to be a fairly large crowd who seemed to be growing by the minute. If Ken wants to survive, he has to break his anti-socialism. "Baby steps, right?" He told himself as he began to take his first steps towards the large crowd. "All I have to do is say 'Hi' and maybe find a party to level up with. Easy, right? Pffttt... as if. They probably want something from me. My items? My Money? My Body? I don't have anything other than bread, water, and this freaking spear. No... I need to find at least one person to talk to..." He kept telling himself as he pushed himself towards the crowd some more. Eventually, he was close enough. He slowly opens his mouth as he let's out a weak "H-h-hii" "Awesome... that was... abysmal."

The girl he was talking too didn't seem to be interested in an actual conversation and simply wanted to greet random players.  No matter.  He'd learn more about her one way or another.  Hopefully he could catch her some other time where she couldn't be distracted.  In the meantime he noticed a new player approach the group.  And this player seemed rather nervous.  He turned to look at the player directly and smiled at the player.  He may not be as weak as his first appearance made him to seem.  And even if he was, if the player had potential he could help the player get out of it the same way he had intended to 'assist' Alisa before she vanished.  However all of this once again depended on if he had the potential.  He nodded to the players he attempted conversation with and made his way over to the newcomer and extended his hand for the player to shake.

"Hi there!  My name's Domarus.  What's yours?"  As he introduced himself Keres stood by his side with a smile.  She wanted to sigh as she knew why he was introducing himself to this player but she should have seen it coming.  With so many players in one place he couldn't help himself.  She knew the only chance at getting him to relax was to free Esther or, possibly, hang out with Ivory some more.  Unfortunately they didn't have much info on Esther's predicament at the moment.  Even so she knew Domarus was hunting for information.  The potion he planned to use on her captor still sat deep in his inventory.  She brought herself back to reality and bowed slightly to the player.

"And I'm Keres.  A pleasure to meet you."

Comforted by the thought of Zulas's assistance, Raze thought, Perhaps, we might come out on top after all. Thinking about it, he shuddered, If we aren't careful, Lupa could kill us very quickly. Shaking his head and listening to Zulas' words, Raze gazed solemnly at the departing figure of 'Ivory Lotus' and sighed, "Maybe you should do the asking." It would be catastrophic if I tried to talk to her again.

"No. Well, I have seen a few of them in an event on the 2nd floor. However I didn't actually meet any of them." He said, thinking back to that moment. He was glad he left early and didn't get too involved, he surely would have angered or scared someone.

Raze looks around, hopefully this event doesn't become similar. But with Zulas here I can mostly tune out everybody else.

"How about you? Know anyone here?"

Surprisingly enough, one of the players in the crowd managed to have spotted Ken as he slowly walked up and let out those poor, weak words. Ken was of course taken aback from the predicament as he didn't really expect anyone to even acknowledge him, let alone, ask him for his name. After a few seconds lost in thought, Ken eventually composed himself and he stood himself up before dropping his head into a slight bow. "My name is..." He paused as he contemplated on how to go about this. This was in fact a game and with online games, there's usernames. He didn't this guy and his normal instincts flaired off thinking that he wants something from me - which was completely normal for Ken. "...Fate." He finally let out without another second thought. His mind grew frantic on the negative possibilities in giving out a name. From getting tracked down to getting PKed. There were many possibilities. After another minute, he realizes that he's been standing there zoning out. He took a deep breath before facing the two players. "Sorry... Uh.. Nice to meet you." His voice was calmer than it was before, but internally, he was still nervous to even talk to anyone.

'Everybody will have formed groups by now, I guess. The meet and greet has been open for a while...' Scouting the formation of players just outside the city gates, Birdie stood by a fence post and lazily propped herself against it. An internal struggle raged in the girl's mind as to whether she should meddle with the gathering or not, as most of the attendees seemed to be engrossed in conversation with one another. A few familiar faces struck her in the crowd; Macradon, Aereth, and a bright blonde haired player she guessed to be Beatbox.

Though the former were both preoccupied, the star remained oddly still and quiet. She hadn't seen him since before he left the Ascendants, and his supposed break-up with a girl who Birdie had a small run-in with before. Approaching him sparingly, she walked into his field of vision and calmly waved at him, hoping to gain his attention. "Hey Beatbox. It's been a wh- wow.." As her eyes fell on his attire, she noticed striking differences from the clothes he wore in their previous encounters. "I-it's been a while, what's up?"

Beatbox was sitting there in the background, probably ignored... at least this gave Beatbox some time to think about himself and some other things. He looked forward into the distance thinking about it, has his madness from his father gained control of him? Or was he just going through the tides of letting it all out? Beatbox didn't know... all he knew was that messed up smile of his toyed with his head, and it still does now. He looked down to his familiar Ocarina that had been sleeping on his lap and he started petting his familiar, he looked forward again and let out a hefty sigh, he looked over to the crowd and saw that many people had showed up, some of which he knew... some of which he didn't... when he went to look back forward he had saw a familiar face... Birdie. He wanted to smile at her appearance but he didn't, he looked back down in the sadness that he was in and listened to her words, typically he would say something back, a giggle or a laugh at her seeing his new appearance, however... he did not. "It has been a while Birdie... too long, and don't worry... I have rejoined the Ascendants..." he said to her with a monotone voice.

The player was obviously expecting everyone to ignore him even though he went to a gather and meet event.  Instead of taking and shaking Domarus' hand, the player decided to bow his head slightly.  When he started to share his name he seemed to hesitate.  Names Domarus thought.  Name's could be powerful, but unless you created a false name to protect you're true identity, names could be found.  Sometimes even then.  This player would eventually realize that.  After the pause ended the player identified himself as Fate.  Domarus chuckled.

"Well that certainly is an interesting name.  Nice to meet you Fate."  The player seemed to zone out just slightly, clearly not the best at socializing.  Keres stood there holding a smile to the best of her ability while greeting Fate as well.  It was so easy...  All she had to do was say a few small words, just a little physical contact, and she'd have this player's face light up red in no time at all.  She wished she could tease the guy so badly, he was obviously one of those people who she could mess with and have enjoyment from his reaction.  She wanted so badly to do so.  However she couldn't do anything of the sorts in such a crowd.  Perhaps when they were away from the eyes of the many.  After Fate finally replied Domarus nodded.

"So what do you like to do?  In game or outside it doesn't matter, everyone has a hobby right?"

"What do you like to do?" A simple question, one which someone can easily answer and you'd know a lot about the person. This was something that Fate was very wary on, as he's spent a good chunk of his life being hunted down by assassins. "Should I give him an in-depth answer or a broad simple one? Perhaps the latter. He may seem friendly, but he could always be up to something. Like someone, fishing for information that could be of use in the future." After some thought, Ken let out a short "Gaming." Short, sweet, and something everyone can relate to. "I play video game. You?" His voice was calm and it sounded like normal conversation. "This is turning out to be a lot easier than I thought," he silently thought to himself as his heart started racing. Inside, he was somewhat panicked, but outside he kept his composure.

As he shook Kasiers hand Aereth noticed that she was inspecting him. But it didn't bother him much, since he did the same thing with her before he decided to go over to her. As the girl revealed her name to Aereth something inside his head clicked. "Kasier... I got it. She must be Itzal's girlfriend as well as the Healer Paladin of our guild. Haha. That means, I only have one more paladin to meet. Then I know them all." From the outside she seemed to be a little bit distanced but he remembered what his other guild mates told him about her.

"If that's the case, it's also an honor to meet you. Itzal told me a little bit about you. But to cearify things for you: I'm Itzal's second apprentice right now and I joined the guild just a few days ago. Healer Paladin of the Celestial Ascendants, Kasier." he said and lowered his upper body for a slight bow.

Raising up again, he said to his fellow guild mate "More or less, I guess? I do know some people here, but they all seem to have found their groups and I felt rather out of place." he admitted to her with a smile.

When he walked out into the field this time, Arc glanced skyward with a wistful expression. The first floor never changed- that should have been obvious, but part of him always hoped that it would. Seasons went by in an almost monotonous manner, and it made them seem less realistic. Or was it that they had always been that way? Even in the world beyond, there were four repetitive stages through which time cycled. Only the people in the world ever shifted, though even that could be considered contrived.

He had watched a good number of his acquaintances from Sword Art Online go through tumultuous times. Lycan and Esther, for one. Those two had never been the same again, and though time had separated them, the Spearman often wondered what had become of them. He was in dark clothes still, though they draped off him in a much different manner than the hooded cloak he had worn for so long. With his tailoring skill, the young man had altered his clothes to appear as a sleeveless, hooded black vest and loose fitted trousers. He did not keep his spear equipped, but it was always at the ready.

Tobias tucked his hands into his pockets as he considered the clouds, but perhaps the most striking change to his features came in the form of blue hair. The sky caused him to think of freedom, and its color brought warmth to his heart in the darkest times. There was so much positive to think about, rather than dwell on the awful parts of life.

His gaze moved toward the group of people gathered, and Arc smiled. "It's getting easier," he muttered to himself. "I'm not quite as put off about people as I used to be."

That didn't make him a master conversationalist, however.

Arc integrated himself with the group with a glance all around, but opted not to speak. The others were interesting- Beatbox in particular appeared to have changed drastically. Well, that's new...

"Hey buddy," he greeted @Beatbox with a soft smile and a wave. "Long time no see."
