[PP-F7] Dragon Tale <<Feeding The Enemy>> [Complete]

Recommended Posts

Pinball and Mars made their attempts to fight the creature. This dragon, apparently known as Bruniikahrel, was truly a terrible threat. If what the others said was true, it would explain the fact that both players and monsters alike had been fleeing, as Krysta had observed once or twice earlier outside the safe zone. Bruniikahrel looked at Pinball, the only one who had dealt any damage to the beast, and got in close to attack. Bruniikahrel opened his maw to breathe fire at Pinball. "Yol...Toor Shul!!!" Unfortunately for Bruniikahrel, not only did his attack end up successfully dodged, but when he tried rushing for him after his failure to strike Pinball with fire breath, he ended up missing Pinball by an inch, and his teeth got caught on the tree that he ended up snapping his maw on rather than his intended target. When he would finally wrench himself free of the tree, he would glare at Pinball. Krysta continued to watch this all unfold, waiting for her opportunity to join in.

Pinball grit his teeth as neither Vigilon nor Mars were able to attack. Sadly, that meant Bruniikahrel had his attention on Pinball. The boy darted aside in the nick of time, just barely avoiding the dragon's fire breath. Frost... and fire? What the hell?! Pinball nearly froze then, the fierce creature's gaze resting on the Fisherman. "Damn it!" Usually timid by nature, Pinball wasn't at all used to playing the hero, even if the role was cast on him by a fluke. Activating his Sword Art, the boy couldn't help but grin as the air suddenly got very chilly. It satisfied him even more when his weapon glowed a faint white. Both of his enhancements had been triggered. He couldn't help but gloat a bit. "Ha!" the boy exclaimed, finishing his onslaught with a concluding spear strike. A thin layer of ice covered the monster, preventing it from moving. He turned to Vigilon, giving him a thumbs up. "Revenge is sweet, eh?" He then faced Mars, and addressed the rest of the group. "Two things we can do. Attack the monster as it is now for bonus damage, or keep him there for a bit so we can buy ourselves a bit of time to run away. I'll leave it up to you all."

He watches as the dragon roams back around for another attack as he backs away from the fire that shoots out once it hits the ground creating a wave of flames that was mainly aimed at Pinball. He glances towards Krysta and nods his head appreciating the girl for backing away and not doing anything to avoid being targeted. He then turns back to the dragon to see it get frozen just like their ally as he grins as he lets his arms and legs get covered in energy as he looks at the dragon.Soon after he charges at the creature right away. No running Pinball! We have it frozen we can beat the enemy with ease. He says in a fierce tone as he jumps towards the dragon intending on dealing a good amount of damage if his sword art will allow him. Ignoring his familiar that is running right beside him ignited in a pillar of fire ready to attack equally as hard. He then punches the dragon hard with a strong right hit and then slides along the ice of the dragon punching it hard with enough force to impact through the ice and make the ice crack and get put into the dragon through the edges being sharp. Once he finishes the attack by punching every inch of the dragon he then lands on the ground looking calm and collected the entire time. The dragon practically being crippled by his hits all along it as its health bar looks like it is very close to reaching zero. He then looks to the party with a deadly serious look. we're not leaving this fight all it will take is one or two more turns of combat, and then it will be defeated. It is impossible for us to die. He says in a calm, but deathly serious tone.

(OOC: I honestly didn't expect this fight to end up being so fast. At all. Also, I'm giving Krysta the prosperity item because she currently has the most LD enhancements, meaning that if she deals the final blow, there should be more col and a higher chance to get something good.)

Vigilon looked at the state of the battle as he thawed out. The dragon, Bruniikahrel, attempted to attack Pinball with...fire breath? "Hang on, this dragon knows more than one breath attack?!?" After the dragon's humiliating failure to deal damage to Pinball, he was practically ganged up on. Pinball dealt damage and froze Bruniikahrel, and asked the party whether they should run while they had the chance, or take on the beast. He also gave Vigilon the thumbs-up, saying revenge was sweet. He had to agree to that. Mars dished out some massive damage while he was weakened. "That damage...that'll be me one day, I just have to scrape up enough col..." He remembered an item he had that restores energy and had the prosperity enhancement within his inventory. He pulled it out, and decided that Krysta should have it. He walked up to her while saying, "As much as I want to get this over with, I think Krysta should deal the final blow." He handed the item over to her, saying, "This bacon has the prosperity enhancement, which will increase the amount of col earned from killing a monster. Please eat it while you are still out of combat, so that when you slay this creature, we might snag a bigger haul on loot."

Pinball attacked and froze the creature, then gave the two possible options, fight or run. "No, we shouldn't run! The small dragon needs us to fight it! Besides, it's frozen solid, so we have a chance to strike!" Mars attacked with full force using the Sword At known as Acupuncture. He then stated that their victory would be assured. The fight was almost halfway over. Krysta looked, and noticed that Bruniikahrel wasn't frozen anymore. Vigilon then said that he believed Krysta should deal the final blow. He handed a food item to her, saying that one of it's enhancements will increase the amount of col gained from killing a monster. She looked at the beast, and saw his point. Plus, there was the amulet she was wearing, and the buff from the cupcake was still active, so she had the best shot at reaping rewards from this fight. Bruniikahrel now had his full attention on Pinball, for being frozen not only humiliated him even further, but ticked him off pretty badly. "Lir! Zu'u fent drun hi sosaal!" Bruniikahrel closed in to attack. "Fo...Krah Diin!!!" The frost breath dealt quite a bit of damage, but thankfully Pinball didn't end up frozen. The sudden attack had caused Krysta to jump back a little. She looked at the item in her hand, the one Vigilon handed to her. She was indeed still out of combat, so she decided to eat it real quick, so that she would join in at a moment's notice.

Pinball was pushed back a great deal by the Monster's frost breath. He hadn't been able to dodge this one, and a hint of fear clawed at Pinball's heart as he felt the icy wind surround him. However, the wind subsided, and Pinball immediately checked his body. He wasn't frozen! Letting out a nervous laugh, Pinball threw himself back into the assault, activating his strongest Sword Art. Sadly, when his own small onslaught was through, none of his weapons affects had been triggered. He leapt back to the group, throwing Mars and Vigilon a quick smile. "Alright! Let's see you two hit it, yeah? But- but not like that kind of.... Never mind. Attack it!" Pinball took another step back towards Krysta, then quickly remembered that the monster had its focus on him. He ran to the side, separating himself to the group. Hopefully he could keep Bruniikahrel away from the others.

He nods his head at Pinball giving a appreciative look towards Pinball for actually attacking the enemy unlike there partners so far. Do to them both being ill prepared in preparation for the battle ahead. Which has forced himself and Pinball to do all the work in this fight. He just lets out a soft annoyed sigh, and then quickly jumps into the fray once more as his fists get covered in energy needing to prove that work must be done. He glares at the beast alongside his familiar that is flaring with fire ready to melt this thing into bits. He quickly jumps into the air and hits the creature with a powerful haymaker punching the dragon, and causing it to stumble. Quickly following up he lands on the ground then launches himself at the enemy again and continues the flurry of fists punching the dragon over and over until he finally kicks off of it into a backflip. While he does so his familiar unleashes a torrent of flames onto the dragon as once more the enemy looses another sizeable chunk of health as he lands on the ground.

Krysta began to follow through with Vigilon's suggestion, and the dragon, Bruniikahrel, seemed pretty ticked off toward Pinball. He let loose his frost breath, but Pinball didn't end up encased in ice. Pinball took his chance to retaliate, dealing some damage to the dragon. Mars attacked with his full force again, which made Vigilon worry about Krysta being able to deal the final blow. "Hey, Mars, you can go ahead and rest, we got this. Besides, I did mention that I wanted Krysta to deal the final blow, and since she's already consumed the item, we'll all get more Col if she's the one to slay this thing. I'll see what I can do to weaken the beast, but hopefully everything will turn out all right." Vigilon activated his Stun Sword Art, Horizontal Square, and attacked the monster. Vigilon got back on the ground and looked to Krysta. "Right. Here's your opening for an attack! Show this scaly bully how it's done!" He hoped encouraging her would help. Now, he just had to hope the others wouldn't steal the glory of killing the dragon.

Krysta watched as Pinball and Mars continued their assault. They managed to bring the creature's HP down fairly low, and Vigilon recommended to Mars that he rest for the remainder of the fight. He attacked the dragon and stunned it. Bruniikahrel roared in annoyance. Krysta made sure nobody was looking, then she pulled out and used her damage crystal. She came up to the beast, and took a justified stance, saying, "Your demise is at hand! You will torment the people and creatures of Aincrad no more!" Bruniikahrel looked to her with annoyance. "Dii morah los ni nau hi. Hi los ni mul, hi los pahlok wah grind Dovah, ahrk hi los nid Dovakiin..." If only Krysta could understand this gibberish. "I don't care what you say. Fall to me, dragon!" She attempted to strike the beast with Quadruple Pain, but she missed by an inch. "Darn it! I was so close! Don't tell me the stun wore off while I was speaking!"

Pinball charged the monster, his spear glowing with the activation of a sword art. Bruniikahrel's health was very low. Very low. But knowing his damage output, Pinball wouldn't be able to kill it in one hit. He figured he would help out Krysta deal the final shot. She wasn't able to hit hers, so maybe Pinball could compensation for that lost attack... But he didn't. His sword art missed by an inch, and Pinball was thrown to the side by the momentum of his first kick. He took a tumble, then hopped up and ran to the other side of the dragon before it could target him for that. Embarrassed, Pinball didn't look at the others. He glanced to Mars, worried that he would actually try to kill it himself, despite the other players' pleas. He didn't quite know Mars as well as he had wanted to yet, so he couldn't predict his actions.

He stares passively at the dragon having heard Vigilon's please, and knowing the benefit rather well if he complies to this. If he says yes they will get quite a bit of loot from this which could be split evenly, and still give out quite a good sum. However, that would require him to not kill the beast, and allow the level six player to steal all of his, and his Rivals work when trying to kill. He clenches his fists and grits his teeth as he shoots a quick glare at Vigilon. You're lucky i am wiling to bet on some amount of loot being a better payoff then having my name known as the one who killed this thing. He says as he runs out the creature his entire limbs being coated in energy as he jumps up at the creature with only a singular thought. 'Don't you F' with me game and give me a critical now of all times.' He thinks as he then goes into the strike. He elbows the dragons next hard and then moves down along it kicking at its knees with a powerful force. As if he is trying to snap and break the dragon's bones with the hits he is doing. With the last leg hit he backs away and then looks at Vigilon, and Krysta. You two better kill this thing, or i will finish the job. Tick Tock. Use them sword arts. he says with a grin that is hidden by his hood being put back up. Not really going to kill it if the two mess. Himself preferring the loot that is viable to be acquired. If he instills that sense of worry though it is possible they would work harder then they would otherwise. He just walks over towards Pinball and says in a low voice so only he would hear. Don't worry i'm not going to kill it. Just making sure those two don't mess around with this. I want this thing dead by this rotation. He tells his rival before quickly moving past him to watch from a distance.

Vigilon saw how Krysta approached the dragon, taking a justified stance and speaking to the beast. Quite a risky move, but very brave. The dragon looked to her with annoyance, spouting more dragon tongue gibberish that Vigilon didn't understand, except for a few words. He looked to his familiar, the small white frost dragon known as Veriost. "Got any clue what he was saying?" Veriost looked back at Vigilon with an unimpressed look, along with expressions that portrayed to Vigilon, "Interpretation? Really? That's what you're expecting of me now?" Vigilon sighed. "All right, it was worth a shot." Veriost rolled her eyes and made expressions that conveyed to Vigilon, "I was just saying that I wasn't impressed by how little you know our tongue, but then again, it is kind of dangerous, which explains why I only speak when fighting." "Alright Veriost, I get it, now cut to the chase, what was Bruniikahrel's point?" This little thing went on until Vigilon gave up on it, and he decided to work on learning the language later on in the game, if possible. Turns out, Krysta missed, and Pinball missed. For a stunned target, Bruniikahrel seemed to be lucky, for the most part. He looked to Mars, who shot him a quick glare as he said some words before running to weaken the beast. "Jeez, what happened all of a sudden? First, you're thinking about the other players and wanting to fight this creature, and now you're ticked off 'cause I was feeling generous?" He said softly, meaning someone would have had to see him speak to know he was speaking at all, let alone the words he was saying. He looked at Krysta. "This should be your chance. I'm gonna sit this one out till you get 'em. Don't worry, you've got this."

Pinball failed to strike the beast and compensate for Krysta's miss. Mars seemed upset for some reason. Maybe he wanted to be the one to kill the dragon, since he had dealt the most damage to it? Most likely. He dealt enough damage to bring Bruniikahrel's HP to just about zero. Vigilon decided to avoid attacking altogether so that Krysta would be the one to strike it down. He also encouraged her, and told her not to worry. "You're right, I can do this!" Bruniikahrel was now thinking(primarily regarding Mars's presence and strength in battle) that he was biting more than he could chew. Nevertheless, if he was to go down, he would do so fighting. He roared at Pinball, then proceeded to attack with rending claws and snapping maw. However, he felt no flesh be torn by either. He had missed entirely. Such an evasive target his foe turned out to be. Krysta ran up to the beast, saying, "Whoever said I was done with you yet? I shall fell you with this blade!" The dragon's head turned to her. He made use of his wings and took to the air, about three yards above the ground, and had made enough distance to avoid Krysta's attack. "Hi nis qahnaar dovah, mal kulaas!"

The boy nodded at Mars' comment, but his eyes widened when he heard Vigilon's comment. He knew Mars didn't like being criticized. Those poor fish... He shook his head wildly at Vigilon. Not a good idea, he screamed internally, but his attention quickly to turned to the player attacking Bruniikahrel. Krysta missed her attack for the second time. Pinball grit his teeth, shaking his head. He had to keep the attention on him. If he could just freeze it! Bruniikahrel's health was but a sliver, and Pinball prayed he wouldn't kill it. He activated no sword art, just jumped and jabbed the monster quickly before running back with a grin. "You're on your last legs, pal! Whatcha gonna do?" Freeze hadn't activated, and he hadn't displayed any magnificent feats of courage. His attack had been pointless, but he didn't let himself get any embarrased over it; he had to try to help out somehow. Good thing that's not my thing. Leave the heroics to Vigilon - he seems the type, Pinball thought bitterly, letting his pessimistic side reign his mind for a moment. He twirled his spear, smiling as he passed Krysta. "Try not to breath too hard - you might kill it," he joked, offering a thumbs up.

He just watches from a distance looking at what unfolds as he glances at Vigilon seeing the boy do nothing at all to the dragon as he feels irritation grow from him doing nothing at all. Yes the dragon doesn't have much health left at all, but that doesn't mean the girly can kill it for certain. He then watches the girl posture and scream like some sort of hero from a cliche comic book. He just rolls his eyes at the display, and grins deciding that scaring the weaklings could be a fun little pass time. He makes his way towards the dragon slowly as he grins at seeing his rival at least attack the beast even if it was for low amounts of damage. He gives a nod and a genuine smile at him. Way to actually do the right thing unlike the boy with the obvious crush on the girl. He says in a low tone as he passes by Pinball as he looks at the dragon that speaks some sort of nonsense that he ignores. I gave you both a turn to kill this thing. Yet it is still here. What happened? he asks as he glances back at Krysta, and Vigilon as his fists get covered in energy. I gave you one turn, and then i said i would get involved once more. Well i'm a man of my word. he says with a dark chuckle as he then jumps towards the dragon making it look like he is starting Acupuncture once more, but in reality he would bet only Pinball would take notice he doesn't have the energy for that. Then with a quick thrust of his fingers it enters the skull of the dragon as its eyes go cross eyed and falls close to the ground as he then glances towards Krysta. Well then girly why don't you please the one with the obvious crush, and kill this thing please. He says in a bored tone as he starts walking back towards Pinball the hood of his outfit hiding his very amused grin.

(OOC: Stun can't activate yet, it hasn't been a FULL two turns since the last time he was stunned.)

Pinball shook his head wildly when Vigilon made his response towards Mars's words. Clearly, there was more to that guy than he originally assumed there was from that day when they both took on Avalanche. Krysta rushed for the dragon, and Vigilon hoped the attack would land. Problem was, big bad Bruniikahrel knew he could use his wings. "Aw, jus- ugh, come on!" His irritation completely on the dragon for making this harder on the lower-level player he was hoping to encourage and such. Pinball used a basic attack, and Mars proved that he was committed to what he said earlier by using a sword art. Thankfully, it just turned out to be Embracer. Stun didn't activate, thus meaning the dragon's stun immunity was still in effect. "There's gotta be a way to make this easier for Krysta..." He looked around, spotted a tree, and got an idea. He jumped onto the tree to start climbing it. When he got enough height, he jumped off towards the dragon, hoping to hit the beast with the flat of his blade to bring it down enough for Krysta to strike with ease. Unfortunately, he had misjudged the required distance, and landed on the ground instead. "Agh! Dang it!"

(OOC: Wait, hold on, Mars! Krysta has already learned of the crush in a different thread!)

It seemed that the other party members had their own responses to Krysta's second failure regarding dealing the final blow. Pinball used a basic attack, Mars said that he was a man of his word(which Krysta found alright), and used a sword art to attack the creature. It was a weaker sword art, so it didn't do much damage. Mars glanced at Krysta and basically told her to hurry up and finish the task, but she also thought that she misheard him, from certain details that he may or may not have said. "Eh?! Oh, right, got it, I'll be sure to finish it this time!" Vigilon had climbed up a tree and tried to bring the dragon down to the ground by applying momentum to a basic attack. However, that didn't seem to go as planned. Bruniikahrel Looked back to Pinball, and Krysta ran over towards the dragon once more. Bruniikahrel glared at Pinball. "Fus...Ro Dah!!!" A powerful wave of force came from his maw, sending Pinball flying quite a few meters, the impact from the landing dealing the damage. Krysta readied her sword art ash she rushed for the dragon, saying, "Begone, foul beast!" This time, she successfully struck the creature. She had done it! Bruniikahrel's HP depleted to zero while he cried out, “Niiiiiiii!!!!! Zu’u los bah! Zu’u los ruth! Zu’u nis kos viik voth lir med hi!” He glared at Krysta as he started to crumple to the ground. “Hon pruzah, zohungaar kulaas, daar los gut nol ko! Dii zeymah fen vaaz hi tum ahrk drun hi sosaal!” And the dragon shattered. The loot menu appeared, showing that the monster had dropped 1400 Col and four materials. She looked to the other players. "I couldn't have been able to do this without you guys. Thank you!" She thought about what was earned, and managed to figure out the amounts each would get. She handed 350 Col each to the three players, along with one material each. Leaving Krysta with 350 Col and one material to herself.

350 Col and 1 T1 material given to @Pinball

350 Col and 1 T1 material given to @Mars

350 Col and 1 T1 material given to @Vigilon

Pinball flew backwards, knocked away by the Monster's attack. He rolled to a stop, his health bar dangerously low. Using his spear to push himself up, he prepared to throw himself back into the fray, but Krysta was already on it. She activated a Sword Art unfamiliar to Pinball, but it was enough to defeat the monster. He let out a sigh of relief from where he stood, then walked back over to join the others. He grinned, accepting his share of the reward. "Thank you much," he smiled, nodding. Now that the monster was dead, and Krysta had her familiar, what was there left to do? He looked around, his gaze hovering where the monster had been just moments before. Brunnikahral. Pinball would remember that name. For a moment he wondered if it was a respawning boss, or if it was a normal mob. If the latter was true, he would end up fighting a lot more than this. He hoped that wasn't the case. He looked between Vigilon and Mars nervously, before looking back to Krysta. "So," he whistled, "anything else you want to do? I think I've had my fill of dragons for today."

He watches the enemy be defeated and can only think. 'Well finally.' He then would watch as the girl would come back and distribute the loot as he would look at his share with a obvious frown. Having hoped to find something a bit more then what they ended up getting for such a fight. This being much less then what he could've gotten from fighting one of those fishing mobs the two seem to have the worst, and yet best luck in facing off against. Personally i've had my share of events for the day on this floor, and if you're up for it Pinball we could head towards a tier two floor to try and get some mats to prepare for when we get to that level. That is to say if you don't have any plans with your guild. He asks his companion curiously wondering what the answer is going to be for that. He can only hope it is positive. he then glances at the two that are going to end up together if the boy's crush isn't obvious to the girl by this point. Anyway you two the thanks isn't needed. As i said i was coming to this floor to fight that dragon anyhow, but it seems like i could've done that myself or with a competent partner if i ended up getting unlucky with this. He says in a neutral tone as his familiar taps Pinball on the back of his leg to let him know that is who Mars was talking about. However, to people who aren't use to Mars or his familiar it would just seem like the familiar would want some kind of attention.

(OOC: look for the chest then wrap this up.)

Vigilon got up as he was hearing the gibberish dragon tongue Bruniikahrel was spouting out. When the dragon shattered, he knew it was over. The beast was gone. "Let's hope we don't get this kind of situation again, for several reasons." It wasn't about the boss itself, but the things the party went through in general, as well as the delayed start for Vigilon and Krysta. He walked over to the three players. "Pinball, Mars, thanks. I doubt the battle would have gone as fast and as well as it did if it weren't for you two. Krysta, I assume the blows you managed to deal were satisfying? I've had those moments once or twice." There wasn't much reason to be here anymore, but there was one possibility left. They could still search. Not for a familiar, but... "Since we're still here, why don't we try and look for a chest?"
