The player to which the girl was tethered to disappears, and as a result the tension she was feeling falls. "Uh oh." Shiina exhumes, having traced her eyes to the bars on her left side of her HUD. Freyd was getting lower and lower, the power he was exerting consuming nearly all of his resources. But this information was followed by a tasty and welcoming ping.

A snicker forms as Shiina falls low, placing her hands against the stone beneath her. The ring of colors twisting shift to a bright emerald green, a hue it had taken prior was a welcome return. "Contesting Vivace: Overpowering Presence" the girl extrudes in a jubilant yelp, and a wave of light sought out the darkness to wherever it would hide. If she couldn't hit him directly, then hit everything. Easy solution.

Tucking himself into the fray right behind the sheer potluck of potent powers that others were projecting. A momentary distraction as Shiina extrudes her cry of issues, as the tank heads into the thick of it. Heaving that hammer right into the mess, sees it pass harmlessly through his intended target. "Shit." Griswold barks out as he braces up.

A string of syrup becomes a serrated set of spears. Holding his shield close to his body, they blind out in a bolstered blast of death. Raining in like 100 arrows, each connect with the wall held before him. The bulwark ignites in response, and the creature recoils as that dim amber glow billows off the guys heavy shoulders.

"Not a fan?" The smith offers in a snide comment, as he turns and faces the other half while it burned so drastically it pops apart to defend itself. Both attacks waned so weakly on his wrath.

Attacks continued to bounce of Griswold, showing full well where Eruda had inherited her steady foot hold. The room filled with all manner of decay and gunk, and again Raidou slid in at break neck speeds. His target? The newly spawned goop that had collected armor in the shape of bones and shrapnel. A wake of empty, a vacuum tore in a sonic boom approach. A bright gold highlight leaves a streak the same in a defined line. The gap closed in a instant, but it would appear the opposition had seen this assault coming.

It transmorphs, sliding its frame open into a doorway leaving a clear space for the nomad to pass harmlessly through. Such was the way of an amorphous blob monster. If they knew what to expect, just become door. Sliding to a halt and watching his skills fall away their durations spent, Raidou about faces and faces the creature in question. He'd best not expose his back to the enemy, and defense was always his go to.

A moment of waning as the creature becomes nothing more then a tiny pile of nigh helpless albeit deadly blobs. Nearly only a foot high, as they scoot toward one another hoping to reclaim their former glories. Blinking into existence, a singular but potent extension of her right foot drives a weaponized heel into a hapless victim. A tumbling to a splatter. Kasumi exhales softly. The girl rips that same weapon up and turns, dropping a heel from above her head straight down. The creature is nearly dismembered as its divided into the smallest imaginable puddle. It vibrates in disapproval, in agony at the collection process.

These attacks relentless, and one more for good measure. But all of this was a ploy, albeit an effective one. Kasumi wasn't the damage dealer, she was just the asshole that bought your attention for the real one. Orders followed, the girl springs up and vanishes from sight. The small rings of petals filling the air with an aphrodisiac that dulled the senses and was an omen for destruction.

Even Whack-a-mole had limits to its entertainment value.  If not for Shiina's heroic sustenance, the Whisper would surely have waxed and waned already.  Boot the whatever, fist to the something... these bloody things had no anatomy to cripple, just an every ready supply of goo ready to divide and keep fighting ad infinitum.  A glance spared for the rest of the group summarized the scene: they were holding, health high but energy diving low.  Fortunately, the end was in sight.

"Just a little more," he yelled, spraying forth encouragement in the form of devastated slime bits that clung to whoever or whatever they struck. "Urgh... tonight is definitely going to be laundry night."

A heavy stomp with his foot caused a ripple, jolting the metal grate used before to good effect.  Its blade-like edges jump an nipped at the foolish slimes that still stuck near it, letting it bite the a second time.  Harrying the enemy as best he could, Freyd pressed them back against Griswold and Rai, pinning them for the rest of the group to mulch in the middle.

Right on cue, the beast of a woman offers another broad stroke of her cleaver like great sword. It blindsides an awaiting mess of liquid and proceeds to scatter its bits all across the open room. The creature is forced through the slots of a metal ceiling panel so graciously provided by a stomped foot. What flies out of the opposing side looks something akin to molding string cheese.

"Ugh. You got that right." Celeste goads weighing her own attire and finding not only ichorous patches of soup stuck to her, but small burn holes from acid blood and the like. Her outfit was holding in there despite all the damage, but she'd definitely need to hit a tailor. Between the smell of a sewer, burnt hair and boiled slime the place positively reeked.

Dropping the hammer and letting her dynamo like blade charge upon the stone surface, she'd just about had it with this noise. The loot better be good.

Another wave of energy, and the ring beneath her feet rushes back to that effervescent green hue. Outstretched hands dictate to the other members of her party and see their speeds begin to increase, weapons responding in tandem to the energy. They'd begin to glint in a rich color and breathe to life. The songstress carefully monitoring them all, despite any misconception she was smarter then she acted. The cries of the dead that reeked from its circumference and filled the chamber with the most haunting sonata of destruction.

"I gotchu, get that sucker into pudding." Shiina decreed as if she was cheering or jeering or perhaps a mixture of both. Waves of power continued to echo out from her, creating the most eerie destabilizing aura. It was easy for most to overlook the 5'6 short stack, but she had her own bag of tricks in a rainbow colored chaos.

Turning on his heel, the mountain of a man pivots and slams his weapon as hard as he can against the nearly dispersed slime. The amplifier that was Shiina's music adding such a monstrous amount of oomph behind the blow. It splats and sends a large smattering of goo off in each direction, much like watermelon struck with a baseball bat.

These congeal and begin to produce new bodies in their own right. Shuttering and taking shape, they begin to produce smaller halves of the same whole. This quest sure is annoying, the smith thought to himself. It seemed much more akin to old stories he heard his father speak of:

I once walked up a hill, in a blizzard with no shoes. At midnight

It felt like that, a grueling and obviously nearly fake feeling of difficulty. Like running on a treadmill. Even still as his mind raced, the smith shored his defenses as attacks from the only solid shape slam against an awaiting shield. Sparks fly and turn to flame, causing the creature to recoil in disapproval.

A wave of electricity compliments the color provided by Shiina. The spark jumps down to the point of the blade and back, as Raidou takes to a pivot. His sword takes a wide arch as he turns his back, rolling his shoulder seeing a crescent of yellowish orange fire above his head. The static hops down the length and discharges into the floor, sending it scattering out in defined lines.

Raidou offers a silent glare, as they convulse and soak up the power like lightning rods. It echoes outward and upward, escaping into the ceiling as the shortest route. The set in place, the next being the last. There was but one that managed to escape the detonation, and the point was to provide Freyd the opportunity to end this charade and insistent monotony. The nomad beckons for Kasumi to route it. Hoping to buy the moment they needed to wrap this mess, given that at least some of them had somewhere else they needed to be and this was dragging on longer then expected.

The girl makes a quick twist of her hand following Griswold splitting them and Raidou staggering them. The remains of the slime king was jerking in a way that proved they were stuck and would be prime targets. Shiina's anthem shifts as the color turns an aggressive and pungent deep crimson. Another murmur of Shiina swapping modes, the weapons held by her team taking a magnificent and ripe charge. All arrays of color take the shape of beacons in the dark, as they glow with her grim intention.

"Kill it." Shiina mutters as her thumb twists like a gladiator being executed in an arena, her demeanor taking something so close to Hidden it could almost be confused as such. As it turned out, maybe the girl had some effect on her. Or perhaps it wasn't truly her speaking at all. It was definitely not the composure the girl normally took, that sharp glare and monotonous execution.

Viral filaments of colour spun by the master spinstress of the soul, Shiina's infusions ran through the group and afflicted their foes with spite, then smite, then a few extra whammies just for the fun of it.  The girl was fickle and weird, but brilliantly effective, literally.  Her crimson hue sunk deep and stirred within the Whisper's whispers that dark malignant void he wore over his hands.  Samael's Pride triggered its endless thirst and keening wails echoed off the walls as it devoured one portion then another, until only one last sorry segment of the slime king slithered sadly on the floor.  It knew its end was near.

"Gah.  As if the smell wasn't bad enough?"  Freyd moved to wiped his face but realized in the nick that he might suction the whole of it off with his hands in such a state.  "Crap.  Gonna need a shower after this."

Taking a running leap at the final mob of the day, the weapon's seals reasserted themselves with gusto in their culminating task and struck the last king slime with such pulverizing force that even the bits of its bitses didn't survive long enough to splatter over anyone else.

"Thanks gang.  This should help keep him down a while longer."  Scanning around the room, he found them all caked with mob detritus, a proud and ridiculous bunch, but few who could ever resist them united.  This was Firm Anima, at its best.

Slime King(s)
King’s Aura: The <<Slime King>> is unaffected by Paralyze, Freeze and the Familiar’s Grappling skill.
Almighty: The boss cannot be afflicted with both Lullaby and Hypnosis.
Pure Structure: Any DoT effects on the boss will last half their original duration, except for Burn. Afflicting the boss with Burn will also deal double damage to it.
Self Sustaining: On a CD 9+, <<Slime King>> will heal 100 HP at the end of his turn.
Quick Split: On a CD 9+ and LD 10+, the <<Slime King>> will not attack and instead, summon a <<Slime Abomination>> to his aid. A <<Slime Abomination>> can only be summoned once per turn. This skill is deactivated once <<Gelatinous Form>> has activated twice.
Gelatinous Form: Every time the boss’ health reaches 0, two more Kings will spawn, using the next lowest HP available. If a Slime King with the lowest amount of max HP possible dies, he will not spawn any more.

Slime Abomination:
Back and Forth: If a <<Slime Abomination>> takes 500 DMG before its next turn, it will attack twice during the following turn.
Strength in Numbers: If any other Slime monsters are alive, every second attack, the <<Slime Abomination>> will instead heal every Slime for its DMG.
Unison: If another Slime monster falls, <<Slime Abomination>> will gain +10 DMG for the rest of the battle.
