[F24-PP-PT] Taking Orders (Chain of Command)

Walking around bare foot in her house with a yawn and a cut of coffee held in both hands. Leaning against the counter, food was already eaten and dishes were already done. She still had to do her daily chores but that would take no time at all. Drinking the rest of the liquid in the mug, she would rinse it and place it in the dish drain. Another yawn escapes her mouth as she walks up stairs to prepare herself for the day.

Heading into the guild hall, the door pushed open with both hands. Making her way to the vault to take inventory. After about a half hour she would summon the odyssey to come into few. Through those doors, she would get inventory done for Simmone as well. Seeing smoke coming out from around the corner “Hey Simmone, you wanna come. Doing the guild quest Chain. I’ll be waiting on floor 24.” Moments later she would send out a guild message for any one else that wanted to tag along too. Heading out after grabbing a few things from the vault, she would be on her way.

Patting the other side of the bed, feeling nothing he would open his eyes and turn. Hearing clattering downstairs he would smile. For once he was not the one up first. Tossing his feet down to the cold ground, setting a black pair of slippers on, his feet would patter against the marble floor. Seeing Eruda in the kitchen and plates with pancakes that had raspberries that made a smiley face on the bread. 

Eating the last bite of his breakfast and sipping the last of his tea. Their HUDs would ping, “You staying here again?” Asking as he would help with the dishes. His soon to be wife would shake her head pulling him into a hug and kiss him.

Walking through the doors of the guild hall patting down his hair with his other hand carrying his robe over the shoulder. He would be met with a Ruri in the vault who was also preparing for battle. “Oh so you are coming?” Asking as Ruri just punches him in the arm and walks off and out the doors. Rubbing his arm with a chuckle as he would soon be off as well

Sitting in a restaurant that's located on floor one, there was only one thing she liked about this place. It really looked like a dump on the inside but they sold her favorite thing in the world here. On the small round table there sat three empty glass cups. Another one half full in front of her being eaten out of. The strawberry parfaits were to die for in this place. A ping of her HUD would cause her to consume the treat faster. “Thank you Nyla” saying as she gets up from her chair and pushes it in. “See you next time sweety” the woman would say as she busts the table. 

Sending a quick message out so that she was not left behind, she would wonder what the team had in store today. Heading to the teleportation pad, fixing her hair and wrapping her hands for the inevitable battle that was to come soon. “Floor 24” in a small voice with a small yawn. Hopefully it understood her well enough to send her to the right floor.

Cloth in hand, moving each block of ingots to wipe underneath them. This was something that he did twice a week. It gave him a form of normalcy given that it was something he did on a daily basis back home. When the clock struck five am he would place the cloth on the counter and rearrange a few things on his main countertop. Thinking about what had to be done today, grabbing his hammer and glancing at all the metals laying on the side that still had to be processed. With an inhale he would begin to reach for one of them when his HUD would chime. It was Sam, she was really busy these days. A small whine from his buddy, he would pat him on the head. Sending a message to Eruda asking if she would walk Vulcan for a while, a few seconds later he would get a response back saying that she was taking over the pet pin for the day and to swing him by the guild hall. Doing just that, he would head out with the others that were going on this guild quest.

Pipe in her mouth, a small puff as smoke illuminates the room that she was in. Moving a few things so that it looked better on the shelf. Some oddities like a blue gem the length of a finger. Or a deep red rose in a glass container that drips a clear liquid. A skull that at first glance would look fake but with a closer look was actually petrified. Readjusting the sheet that was on her platinum mirror. Every now again she would see it out of place which could be caused by a few things. Either Felix was fucking with her or the spirits inside were getting antsy.

Hearing Sam’s call out, “Yes dear, be there in a moment” saying as she inhales, holds and allows the smoke to slowly move out from between her lips. After a little bit more organizing she would head to the guild hall. She would get the message, grab a few things and head out to the warp gate to meet the others.

“Now I just have to add a little of this and some of that and” words fall short as she sees it start to bubble. Eye widen as she starts to panic trying to figure out what she did wrong. “Shit, shit, shit” racing around Raidou Lab trying to get all the glass vials and beacons away from the inevitable but it was too late. The room starts to fill with smoke, that is when she knew that she had to get out quickly. Grabbing her weapon and a few other things she rushes out the door and shuts it rapidly before BOOM!!! Her HUD goes off, something about another quest, oh good cool. Slowly cracking the door open, shattered glass everywhere. The table looked like something had melted through the middle of it. All those positions that were on the shelf, dead. Liquid of all colors were pouring down the walls and covering the greyed tiled flooring. Slowly closing the door with a small huff. 

That ‘s when people would start entering the main hall. She would slip her jacket on, pulling up her hood as she started quickly heading for the main doors. A smirky comment from Raidou as she tries to pass him without looking at him. Glaring up at him, punching him in the arm before saying “Yea” in a small voice. Walking out now, she would read the message after getting out of the guild hall to figure out where the group was heading off to. She wanted to get as far away from here as she could at the moment. Cleaning will have to happen later when the place airs out a bit.

Rushing into the stadium, she would wait until the others came through the doors. After a moment the doors slam shut and the gate would creek open and the large creature would come trampling out of the dark cage that it was trapped in. It stomps across the dirt as dust releases beneath his feet and around his frame. Kasumi would dash through the group toward the rhino. With a slide and a quick punch to the throat before making her way back behind her cousin. The beast would fall on his side and begin to gasp for air. “He is ready” she would state as she rewraps one of the clothes on her hands to make it tighter. She would wait to completely disappear when things started to get more frantic. Right now she would just watch and observe the beast. Right now it was just laying there twitching and unable to move. “I don’t think it will last long” she would say to Raidou as he would begin to walk forward toward the animal.

“Yeah maybe” saying as he pulls his blade up against his right shoulder blade. In one swift movement he would push himself forward. Thrusting his blade into the exposed belly, jerking it up and back down onto the creature. Tearing through the beast's defenses like it was nothing to really worry about. In a real way it kinda looked pathetic just laying there, helpless. With a single finger he would push his frames up the bridge of his nose. To be honest he remembers this being harder. Back in the day when the system would only allow a group of four to be present and they were doing very little damage to it. The entirety of Firm Anima was sky rocketing in not only damage but technique. They have all grown so much and it was making fights like these much easier to handle. He had already handed the map to Kasumi, one less thing to worry about for the moment at least. He would watch the beast to make sure everyone was safe.

Running toward the middle of the battle, the creature was already down for the count, Kasumi made sure of that. Clashing his hammer against the already ruined and torn open sternum. It would cry out in pain. Its health pool was nearly half gone and not everyone had attacked yet. The beast was snorting cause dust to fling away from his nose. It would not be much longer before the other things would be spawning. For a split second he would think about how the girls were doing with the little critters. He always left Vulcan back at his place when he left. He knew that while all three of the familiars were together, they could be a handful. He knew this first hand from when he would watch them. They even almost set the guild hall on fire once, hopeful there was a building to return to after this. This was something that he hadn’t told anyone, he would bring it to his grave.

Fixing Sam's Energy: Wrong quest not EN loss

Trying to get a vibe of what was going on. There was a lot of screeching and outcrying from what was supposed to be paralyzed. “Bro shut your face” saying as she gets herself positioned to where she could see the face from behind the bigger boy in the room. Leaning a bit as she pulls back on that string of her bow. Releasing it the moment it would open its mouth to yell again, instead of loud noise it was gagging on her light arrow that went right through the mouth and down the throat. “You sound better mute” calling out as there would be a small explosion within the neck of the creature. When it tries to cry out again, nothing comes out. It was now just the movement of the creatures' faces which were making crazy looking expressions. Sam would chuckle, she didn’t want to waste much energy on this, not when she knew what was coming after words.

“Oh thank you, now I don’t have to become deaf when I go up there” Simmone would say as she allows her rapier to guide her down the beaten path to the beast. Right into the still fresh wounds, it would shake and wiggle under the damage that was granted toward it. “You really are not doing so well are you?” Saying with a grin as she pulled the thin long weapon out of its gut. Eyes look to the others standing there staring at the beast just laying there. “Okay, this is a bit pathetic. Hopefully the other things that spawn will be more active than this.” It mine as well just croke on its own. It might get up soon, maybe. It could get more entertaining but as it sat right now, not even the audience on the stands were cheering. With a better glance up she would see a few of them yawn and others were putting fingers in a downward position like they were booing at them. Or was it the beast? She would shrug her shoulders to wash off the feeling.

While the others were stalking the beast up front and personal, she would be walking the outer ring of the inside keeping in the shadows. It was then that she would go rushing forward so fast that no one could see her, maybe she should have given some form of warning before she started her attack. It was too late now. Her weapon slices cleanly through the spine before she would strip over the beast and Raidou at the very last second would catch her. This would cause both her and Raidou to slide backwards a couple feet. “I’m sorry,” saying shaking her head. She would just feel a hand on her head with a light rub, it was comforting to say the least. She knew that he didn’t mind but it still made her a little oof every time she had to use him as a human wall. A huff of breath would be given before she rushed away again. Hiding in the shadows of the inner walls was doing just fine.

Standard Recovery +4 EN, New Round -> New Turn Order

Holding her lightly with a palm on her head for comfort. “No need to apologize Ru, I’m here” said softly as he felt her take a breath before darting off into the shadows again. A smile shows on the corner of his lips as his eyes turn back toward the creature that has seemed to have given up already. Taking that large sword of his as he brings it down with a massive amount of force. The beast's mouth opens wide but nothing comes out. That was a bit unique, it was like Sam had made the creature mute with a single shot to the throat. There were a few occasions that he could recall this happening but not with an arrow. There was always something that caused significant damage for this result. The one thing that was noticed was that there is a white light inside the mouth, like something was lodged inside. “Interesting” a thought said and he pushed his frame back up the bridge of his nose continuing to observe the weird oddity that was transpiring right in front of them.

Sam watched as her team continued to keep the beast down with little effort. It was almost like a circle of kids beating the defenseless. From the looks of it there were pauses that allowed the creature to attempt to get up but then it was right back down, failed efforts gone very wrong. Deciding to end it now so that they could get the real action started, it would seem that everyone was getting bored with this one. Even the audience up in the bleaches were quick to make judgment with the situation. Pulling her bow up, aiming it toward the sky. As a small vibration happens against her palms she would release. The beaming arrow would fly high above the Rhino and then dive low very fast. Upon impact the creature would explode with a white light that caused the others to cover their eyes for being so close. “Let's get the real party started now shall we.” She couldn’t figure out if it was a statement or a question, either way the thing was dead and they could finally move on with the battle with hopefully a little more excitement.

Standard Recovery +4 EN, Spawn Limit removed due to Like Water, Testicles is pronounced Test a cleese

Seeing the creature find it grave, as the white light appears she would quickly vanish out of sight. Lurking in the shadows holding a parchment in her hands. She would focus on where she wanted them to spawn, right in the middle where the Rhino just was. It would be hard for whatever came into view to get away. Crushing the map between her finger tips, like clock work the humanoid figures appear right in front of the tank and her cousin. Before they could even figure out what was going on she was already right there at the first enemy punching them swiftly twice and moving on to the next. She would rinse and repeat until they all fell to the ground, twitching unable to move. Vanishing again, all that was left behind was little pink petals that floated slowly to the ground from above. They never saw it coming.

“Oh dear” saying as they appear right in front of her. Jumping back a bit to get out for reach before they all fell to the dirt like a limp noodle. “How unfortunate” with a grin as she would spring forward and take a jab at whatever was closest to her. Hopping backward as she was trying to create distance between her and the humanoid figure with sharp pointy things. She did not want to be collateral damage nor a meat shield. Not that they would use her as one but she was not going to take that chance. Again the enemies laid limp, no action yet. The crowd around them was still quiet, silent enough that you could hear crickets chirping in the distance outside the stadium. Maybe they were just getting too strong for this. It was clear that she alone could nearly one shot each of these besides the boss of course. She would begin to think how she could make this more entertaining.

Walking slowly, observing the targets that had just spawned in. Kasumi had done a fair job of disabling them to their core. It was her turn to make a mess. Rushing into the group at full speed, her weapon carves into each of them, one by one they would pop but only after she was caught by Rai. Giving a huff of breath with her head on Rai’s chest for only a moment before turning to look at the chaos that she had created. Three of them were completely gone, nothing left of what they used to be. Getting a better look, this last dude looked a bit creepy. The weapon that was in their hands looked like those blow up toys from the rockum sockum commercials. “Who made these creatures up, they look stupid” said in a small voice to Rai. She would hear him chuckle which would make a tiny smile appear on the corner of her lips.

With a twist of his head looking down at the creature. He was trying to figure out what the girls meant by that. “His hands do look a little too big for his body” Griswold would comment. If he was being honest they looked like bowling balls. There were no fingers, just round flesh attached to the arms. The thing would twitch as tiny lightning streaks could be seen traveling across his body. The enemy would attempt to get up, Griswold and Raidou would both have the same idea as they kicked the dude in unison that was so perfectly timed. They would glance at each other a bit shocked but then Griswold would give a hardy laughter. This was only the first group of invalids but from the rate that this was going, this battle would not take much longer. The man would start to crawl away from the group, he was not moving very fast.

As they would try to army crawl away, it fit because they were dressed as soldiers. In any real environment this was one of their training techniques. He knows this from previous content that was ready, that seemed like a lifetime ago. For their own sake, he would put them out of their misery. Slamming his large heavy blade against the humanoid back cutting them clean in half. Pulling out another map from his inner coat pocket, his cousin would find her way over to grab it. The thing in front of them bursted into nothing. “Is it just me or does this seem a bit too easy?” A brow raised as his ember eyes meet several of his companions. Maybe they were just getting too strong for this. That was a great thing to think about. This to him meant that when a new floor would be unlocked that they would be ready for nearly anything that they came across.

Walking a bit away from the group not wanting to be in the thick of it when she crushed the map. The system wouldn’t allow her to activate her skill, it made her worry that maybe she would be able to do as much this time around. A deep inhale as she shatters the map between her fingers like before. Another large circle of dudes appeared and she could feel that same energy piercing through her frame. With a grin forming on her face she would dash toward the enemies. Punching a few of them really hard, turning as she round house kicks a dude. Shifting her feet with another fist but this time to the throat. Standing right in the middle looking around as they all fall to the ground at the same time. Giving a small huff of relief as what she was thinking before was not accurate by any means. She had to stop thinking that way.
