She still cheered for Tiger when she finished the mob, finally landing a last hit: "Good job Taiga!! keep them in place! ", once she sees her next enemy, she dashes towards it and strikes the new mob, landing a perfect hit on it's back while performing an acrobatic move by jumping above the mob and stabbing it then gracefully landing behind it as it continued its stampede. She turn around and shouts: "NEXT! let's see how you top that!" Alyss 0 Posted March 25, 2015 #62 Report Share Posted March 25, 2015 Alyss had just seen yet another hound fall to the ground as a new spawns yet again, Ariel gives it a quite nice start for this one, by stabbing it making it bleed on her first hit on the newly appeared doggy, Alyss then did start to run and did slash the hound alonge its left side giving it quite the cut in its leg. as she did jump to the side ready for the next one to attack,. But even the feeling of wind on his face from the <<charge>> seemed to burn the skin of his face. When they got out of here, he was going to spend a month on the fourth floor. Anywhere but here or that accursed desert floor. The azure slash of his blade parted the mob from a significant chunk of its HP bar, but was not quite enough to bring it down. As he skidded to a stop, making his feet even more scalding hot than they were, he turned to face Tyger. "Go get'em Tyger!" As he cheered her on, pleased that she was getting another last hit. Her thought process had followed the same as his; this place was just too damn hot. "Hell, maybe even get a house there. As long as we never come to this floor again." Icarus seemed hurt by the statement, so Tyger backtracked. "Well, not never ever, but only for Icarus." Pleased with the remark, Icarus gave a headnod and rubbed his face against Tyger's cheek. However, affection could wait. Snow picnics could wait. Right now they just needed to destroy these damn dogs, a three headed dog, and then everything else was a piece of cake. Baldur attacked the twelfth dog, and Tyger charged to do the same. With the force of the impact, as well as her critical hit, the dog was destroyed before the blade could sink down into it's hide. Pleased with herself, Tyger swished her blade back into it's sheath. "Get Rekd." She snickered, watching out for more hounds. They left no scraps for Oikawa as they all landed their strikes. "Nice hit's guys! i think that might've been the last on-" He was cut short by the sound of a low muffled snarl behind him. Turning around slowly, his eyes met the glowing orange orbs of a 14th hound. Lava dripping from its maw, Oikawa took a quick back-step before immediately lunging forward. His rapier effortlessly pierced the creature sending it tumbling further down the cave. He then nodded for Ariel to make her move. There seriously can't be many more hounds left... This time instead she heard a interesting discussion between the local couple. Tyger addressed her significant other, Baldur an intriguing proposal about buying a house at the fourth floor. The place with the fairy tale-like scenery at which the blonde decided to open her shop and which she liked to call it 'home'. Sheepishly smiling at Baldur, Ariel decided to respond to Tyger's question before he got a chance: "I think that's a great idea, ever since I've opened my shop there I've wanted to buy a house as well. We can be neighbours!" she said a bit hyped. Then chuckling she focused on the tumbling 'doggy' that Oikawa left for her. She started dashing at it and caught up to the mob before it stopped spinning. Once it was in her striking range the blonde delivered a swift blow to the mob's belly then backed off to the rest saying. "All yours guys!" Just when things seemed to calm down and Oikawa was ready to declare them all defeated, another spawned ready for more. Oikawa was quick, doing justice to the blade he wielded as he struck the mob, followed quickly on his heels by Ariel. The heat seemed to get to Alyss, however, causing her to hesitate, so Baldur switched with Ariel in her place, <<charging>> forward and clashing with the <<Hell Hound>> the strike of his blade rocking the mob and preventing it from attacking for another heart beat. Baldur knew Tyger would be right on his heels, hopefully finishing the mob off. Tyger held her sword out, preparing for the carnage that was the follow. The team seemed to move like a well oiled machine, and Tyger enjoyed being one of the cogs inside of it. As long as nothing was dropped, they'd move with speed and accuracy through the hounds. Baldur had charged forward, and Tyger charged, right on his heels as he'd imagined her. Baldur's strike was true, and had caused the hound to falter, even if only for a moment. It gave Tyger the time needed to finish it off with a quick strike. The hound fell to the ground and began to disappear, but not before dropping the phat loots. "I really hope we don't have to face 99. We've been here for what, 14 hounds?" Finally fed up with the creatures, Oikawa rushed towards the beast. His fury seemed to well up in his blade as it glowed a faint red before ripping through the beasts flesh and leaving a red gaping hole in it's upper torso. Extracting his blade, Oikawa jumped back and allowed the others to attack. A red blood drop appeared on the mobs status bar. Bleed was inflicted. It has no chance now. He then suddenly flinched as a spec of lava splashed onto him from above. Damn this cave... She smiled while releasing a small chuckle "Thanks for marking the target" she whispered before backing off almost in the same time as he did. Then started singing a pirate song with the lyrics a bit different, in an excited tone: "Lucky number 15!...14 dead hound on a dead man's chest..yohoho and one more doggy to go!" In the same time the lava dripped on Oikawa some of it managed to get on her. She gritted her teeth letting out a low growl, imitating Kimba when she was mad. Coming in sideways, his wrists crossed in front of him with his sword held firmly and just barely managing to plow into the <<Hell Hound>>, dropping its health down low once more. As the momentum of Baldur's strike carried him past the mob, he as a gush of flame erupt just where he had been a moment ago, narrowly avoiding some of the environmental damage. "Whew." He sighed as he wiped at his forehead with the back of his hand. They couldn't actually sweat in the game, but it was hot enough that he felt like he should be, even if there wasn't a 'sweat mechanic' in the game. Now that his thoughts lingered on it, he was actually pretty grateful for that. "I swear, if this isn't the last one, I think we should get out of here. We've gotten enough mats and col to make this trip not a complete failure though." Tyger murmured, cringing as she watched Baldur dash forward for the fifteenth hound. The hounds seemed to be more savage as time went along, and Tyger had to wonder if that had anything to do with the impending doom that would lumber at them any minute. Salvation had 3 heads, but all those heads bit by themselves. She was tired of fighting hounds, but was she really ready for Cerberus? Shaking the thoughts out of her head, Tyger followed Baldur with a quick charge and slammed her sword into the hound. It disappeared without much flash and show as the previous ones. Tyger exchanged a nervous look with Baldur. "It got quiet..." She murmured, before mouthing the words 'I love you' at her fella before looking around the cavern. For a moment, everything seemed to grow colder... or at least not as hot. In the distance, suddenly there was the sound of a howl, and then another voice took it up, and finally a third. The howl seemed to echo through the chamber they were in, and hung for a long, sweltering moment. Then the earth began to rumble, the ground shaking around them as spouts of magma erupted from the grounds in pillars all around them. Still the earth began to shake even more to the point where it was difficult to remain standing. Once again the howl rose up to an ear splitting, chest rumbling power and from behind one of the larger gouts of magma a giant, three headed dog emerged. The hounds dark body was covered in flames and it's three heads dripped lava instead of slobber and its read eyes burned with a malice to match the heat of the <<Inferno Cave>>. The center head howled while the other two growled menacingly at the players. Baldur struggled to say on his feet, and was eventually knocked down to one knee by the shaking of the zone, the feeling of the hot ground on his leg burning away one of his hit points. As the earth stopped rumbling and <<Cerberus>> appeared, Baldur's eyes went wide. The hound was so large that just one of its heads was as tall as Ariel, and it's legs were as tall as Baldur himself. Fire and lava burned in it's mouth as it's muscles rippled with power. "Watch out! "I'm pretty sure Cerberus has been practicing his entrance while we've been derping around with his hellhound lackeys." Tyger said to Baldur, who was just as shocked and awed as she was. However, adding humor to the situation seemed to be the best route. Besides, it was much better than letting her knees knock together in fear, right? "One howl coming right up!" She nodded to Baldur, and stepped forward with her sword and shield. Icarus didn't seem afraid of Cerberus. That made Tyger wonder if the little familiar knew the giant mob boss? Wouldn't that be something? "Eh, trio! Over here!" Tyger slammed the sword into her shield, causing the loud cracking sound she'd been experimenting with in the floor below. Cerberus seemed to respond to that, all heads turning towards her for the fight to start. Staring at all of the snarling faces sent a shiver down Tyger's spine. She wanted to be home snuggling Icarus. The dragon or her pet in the real world, it didn't matter. Just something other than here. But she had a job to do. The Howl gained the attention, and she just had to survive long enough to let everyone kill the dogs. True to it's nature, the head on the left let out a long, angry howl before chomping at Tyger with sharp fangs. Tyger rolled to the side, but wasn't able to dodge well enough as the hounds teeth bit into her leg. Tyger let out a sharp cry, something she hardly did, and bit back a sputtering curse. Fire rippled from the fangs as she was held in suspension. The left head finally dropped her, and she landed with a painful thud in a cloud of steam. Holding back another cry out, Tyger's leg was burnt and crispy. Her skin was fried from the steam, and it wasn't a good day. "Kill these fuckers. Quickly." She growled. She hoped Baldur didn't look at her HP bar anytime soon. She'd lost quite a bit in that tussle, and the pain in her leg hinted she'd be feeling it later. It's too quiet...The earth then shook and rumbled causing Oikawa to unfortunately drop to his knees. Then entered the beast. Darkened fur covered the body of a colossal, muscled, version of a Boxer breed of dog. There was quite a few differences between this beast and a Boxer however. This beast seemed to emit flames by just breathing. Flames licked and covered the back and tail of the creature while lava foamed and waterfalled from its mouth. This creature didn't have one mouth, or even two for that matter. It had three. To be accurate the beast had 3 heads. This over-sized flaming beast from hell was none other than Cerberus. The moment felt surreal. Oikawa had never felt such pressure just one creature alone. The saying rings true. "Be careful what you wish for, or you just might get it." As Baldur called for a <Howl>, Oikawa knew the battle had commenced. Tyger slammed her sword and shield together, emitting a resounding crack that gained the attention of all three heads. The left most head attacked first. It seemed as if Tyger would dodge the blow unscathed, however, Cerberus seemed intent on making its ruthlessness known. The dog sank its teeth into Tyger and held her up like a rag doll. "TYGER!!!" As the beast released its prey, Oikawa immediately rushed after it. Darting between pillars of exploding flames, Oikawa jumped up to attack the left head of the beast. He thrusted his rapier into Cerberus, leaving a red piercing hole in it's snout as he dropped back into the ground. Jumping back, he signaled for Alyss to make a move. Suddenly the center head became active as it snapped at Tyger. Luckily she wasn't injured enough to deflect the blow. "Keep it up Tyger! We'll kill these wretched dog heads in no time!" 'C'mon daddy how much are you going to make us wait?' she wondered, when suddenly a mighty howl reigned over the silence that settled in. Ariel instinctively looked towards Tyger to see if she's trying another impression of a wolf but found the ginger to be searching around as well. 'Finally' she thought with a grin as the roar was prolonged, appearing to be more like a succession of 'smaller' ones rather than a sole one. As the beast made its presence Ariel grinned looking at its dimensions, "Finally Banken!!! You made us wait long enough!" she declared in a excited tone as a creepy grin started settling on her face and as Tyger managed to successfully taunt all 3 heads the blonde started running towards it. Before she could get close enough the second head lunged itself at Oikawa and Tyger, fortunately missing both of them, Ariel thought that it was most likely due to Tyger's exceptional blocking skills but the blonde didn't have time to confirm it as she jumped at the first head that attacked. Unleashing her accumulated momentum at the precise moment, her black blade sunk almost to half its length into the left head. As the mob reacted to her hit Ariel retracted the weapon and gracefully landing somewhere near the two. "You guys alright?" she asked, not turning to see for herself...the smile was still there and she could feel a new rush of adrenaline going through her veins. Tyger had just lost more health in a single hit from this beast than he had ever seen her loose in a fight, let alone a single attack. He needed to make this hit count. If he could land a crit on his head, he could practically take it out before it would even have a chance to hurt her. The faster they ruined this mob's day, they sooner they could get out of here, the sooner he could get her to safety. Come on, where's your weak spot? Baldur waited, and when Ariel jumped away, Baldur saw his chance. He crouched down, ready to <<Charge>> when suddenly he saw a giant font of magma building up beneath his feet. Diving to the side, a geyser of molten rock shot towards the ceiling of the cave. For a moment the lava was so bright and hot, he couldn't tell if the flame pattern on his haori were actually flames or not. When he brought himself back up to his feet, his opportunity to attack had passed. He cursed to himself, and waited. There was no mistaking the terror that gripped at Tyger's heart, but there was a glint of determination that seemed to shine brighter. They needed to defeat this to live, simple as that. Three headed dogs were easily defeated with the right amount of spunk, right? Besides, the lord of the Underworld had literally named his dog Spot. That must've been his weakness. "I'm good, i'm good..." Tyger murmured, sword and shield in hand. Narrowing her eyes, she darted forward and sliced at the left head, which seemed to be a bit tuckered out at this point. However, as she lept, her leg - which was burnt and quite painful - twinged and she let out a cry of pain, completely missing her attack. Cerberus's left head took this into consideration and bit at her again. Thankfully, both of them missed. It was a trade off Tyger really didn't mind making at this point. "Oikawa... up next..." She breathed heavily, already out of breath. Oikawa 1 Posted April 6, 2015 #79 Report Share Posted April 6, 2015 Oikawa seemed to have lost track of Alyss as the rest of the group battled the three-headed mutt. Ariel decided to follow his attack and land a clean blow on the left head. Just as she she concluded her strike, the right head snapped to life and attacked the redhead. She evaded the jaws of the beast as Baldur rushed into the fray. Unfortunately his attack fell short as a wall of magma blocked his path. Once again the rotation of attacks came full tilt, as Tyger went on the offensive. Her attack never made it however as she crumpled from the pain in her leg. I have to make this count for the both of them then! Oikawa resolved and solidified his thoughts as he leaped at the beast once more. Launching himself from the edge of a rocky platform, he caught a slight burn as evaded most of the magma waterfall that suddenly poured from the ceiling. As he neared the beast, he cocked his arm back and sent the rapier flying through the air as he thrusted at the left heads snout again. The blade pierced the Cerberus and Oikawa quickly removed it so he could retreat back to safety. Once he was near the group again, he watched as Ariel rushed off to attack. As Tyger wasn't paying attention to it Cerberus lashed out at her as she was trying to catch her breath and swinged 'their/its?' right claw at her, landing a successful hit. Seeing her friend take another one for the team, Ariel gritted her teeth and decided not to attack this time nor did she had the opportunity to do it... Rushing by the ginger's side she wanted to make sure she was ok, taking a look at their HP bars..."I won't let you have the lowest HP in the group..that's a title reserved for this reckless lion!" she said, as a joke to ease her(Ariel's) mind, while pulling a <<HP Potion>> from the inventory and forcibly making the apparently dazed Tyger drink it, whatever she wanted or not. "It's for your own good!" she said in an apologetic tone while looking at her HP bar rising once again, then with a grin she continued: "You still have more hits coming towards you!"
