[PP-F2] Prey (Square One)

Recommended Posts

Rebekah had just woken up after falling asleep by the trunk of the tree next to the river. She had wondered how long she had been napping for, she was not tried, but the conditions outside just made the nap seem so favourable. Rebekah looked up and checked her inbox, there was a ton of notifications, before slowly sifting through each one over again. She had forgotten why she was here today, and what she was doing next to the river, but she decided to look around, seeing if she could find anything next to her. She looked around, and could see no such thing, lying around nearby, and continued to lean on the tree.

Crozeph kept on walking, his senses wary of the presence he felt earlier aside from the girl who just walked away from him. It may seem that he can't sense them now but he should still keep his cool, they could show up anytime and pounce on him. Crozeph then heard faint sounds of rushing water nearby "a river" he thought. Crozeph stopped and then activated his skill and tried searching for anyone around the area before entering a new one, just to make sure no one is following him as he tracks down the girl. Crozeph then resumed walking and tried to find his way to the river, his map before him "damn I'm straying away from Azide's coordinates" he thought.

Ethereal was jogging down a thin dirt track, eyes constantly glancing down at a large map that took up a huge amount of his HUD. Upon the rapidly updating map there pulsed red glowing marker that was Azide's currently coordinates. As he browed the last hill before their markers met, the Specialist slowed - his grey cloak and dark hair settling down. Scratching his short beard he spotted his new guild leader just in time for him to turn and spit verbal venom.

As he made it to talking distance, Eth hailed the leader. "You must be Azide. I'm the new Training Specialist, Ethereal." This was followed by a quick, questioning glance at the man David before returning his gaze to Azide. "What's going on anyway?"

Seeing X's response Ariel let out a frown and coldly said: "Do as you want X. As for you David, I hope for your well being we never see each other again." Then nodding at Azide the blonde let out a short call towards her familiar to her ready. Before leaving she would get close to Azide and would simply say: "Hell of a council member you've got there, leaving the rest of his guild behind because he wants to do something himself, a bit of a selfish desire don't you think? That is all I have to say in that regard since we're allies I thought I should let you know what I think." Then simply giving a nod to the random guy that popped out of the woods she says "I'm going back to camp, whatever let out that roar could be heading for there. Give you a PM after I get there Azide."

The read back didn't take too long as she reached familiar surroundings. Entering the camp clearing she could see and and hear fighting noise. She thought there were more S1 members than when she'd left but didn't have time to do a head count. The blonde saw the giant and immediately motioned Kimba to go next to the newbs while she went dashing right at it. She'd look for any openings and <<Concentrate>>, aiming for the beast's right knee in the hope of making it kneel down so that they could aim for the head. Unfortunately its hide was more dense that she'd estimate and her black blade only managed to scrape it. She clicked her tongue while backing near Oikawa. "Friend of yours?" she asked while putting a faint mischievous grin, ignoring the rest of the S1 members for now.

X appeared to be dead set on carrying out his intentions; although he very well could have declared this verbally- he passed on the opportunity for a bit of clever wordplay. Between all of the recent happenings on a trip gone wrong, this just simply wasn't the time. If the youth was going to make peace on behalf of a fallen player, then Azide would not be the one to stop him.

He turned his head to Ariel as she exchanged with him whispered words. With a solemn look, he replied to her assessment of his council member. "I have to say that I doubt he's doing this for himself."" With a sideways glance, he observed the player in question. X was not quite shaken- visibly, at least. He seemed to maintain an air of relative calm. What was going through his head right now?

After a few closing remarks, he nodded in response as she departed, and turned to address the new arrival; he was a rather tall fellow, with a respectable assortment of facial hair. How the man deduced his position as the leader of S1 was a slight curiosity, but not quite enough for him to waste time in discussing it.

Azide gave a slight dip of his head as the man approached, and formed something of a bitter smile. Any truer sort on a day like this would be troubling, as far as he was concerned. "So I take it you must be Ethereal- a veteran player who's recently returned to the front-lines?" he remarked. It was more so a statement than an actual question. His eyes flicked from X and David to the man he was speaking to. "Actually, I'm going to assume right off the bat that you're not, in fact, some other Ethereal. So assuming that's true, I'm going to have to ask that you follow me."

With a turn, he shifted himself in order to face in the direction that Ariel had left, and gestured for the man to accompany him before speeding off. "I'll explain anything on the way- if not when we get there!"

Despite the relative proximity he'd shared with the female player not too long ago, his own movements were hampered and slowed. He'd lost sight of her as she darted through the forest at a more effective pace. "Hopefully she'll be able to buy us whatever time we need..."

As he weaved through the greenery, his mind flashed white and blue.

Jets of smoke and steam flared from the creature's nostrils as it swiped at the players with hulking, lumbered movements. Its efforts were wasted- it was clear that they would not back down from their futile task. But had they believed that the extent of its wrath to be nothing more than a few lazy swats, they would soon be proven wrong. Dead wrong.

Behemoth was not a creature to be trifled with. These puny forms that darted around its limbs like ants- they swarmed it like rats to a silo of grain. And as with all pests, they would be dealt with accordingly.

Snarls from the beast filled the meadow with a bassy growl. Curved rows of teeth and fangs glinted as they were revealed to the light of the sun. With a shriek that could pierce through to the hundredth floor, the creature stopped the amassed party in their tracks.

Picking a target at random, it charged forward with movements resembling that of an ape, and propelled itself forward with beats of wings massive enough darken the entire sky. A hooking swing of its massive arm collided against the blonde-haired girl that'd dared to attack it, sending her sliding against the ground- but not quite out for the count. Yet.

Seconds ticked away and not a single move was made. Oikawa had begun to think that everyone was so terrified, that became frozen with fear. A faint whisper then makes it's way across the field. The voice belonging to a trembling newbie Oikawa had only just met minutes ago. This newbie was indeed Zeri. He voiced his thoughts and hurriedly fled the battle. "Make sure you make it a safe zone at least!", was all Oikawa could shout as the player disappeared into the foliage. Xanatos had finally overcame whatever had a hold on him as he sprang forth and struck the beast. The attack must've landed on a weak point as the creature wailed and flailed it's arms angrily.

Slowly the remaining members came to their senses. Aeternum had began to attack, but one could figure what ran through his mind as he turned tail and retreated. Oikawa was set to attack again when a familiar player came bursting through the thicket and attacked the <Behemoth>. His attack also seemed to deal extra damage as the gash it left glowed a brighter red than normal. This player goes by the name of Rusty and was one of Square One's newest members. Nodding to the player as he apologized for his lateness, again Oikawa became poised to attack, when another player came jumping from the woods. This player was female however and a great fighter to boot. She wasted no time in jumping into the fray and dealing a nice chunk of damage. This player was Ariel, The Crowned Lion.

Oikawa turned to face the blonde as she neared him and replied to her latest bit of banter. "Friends? Haha if this thing was my friend I'd be terrorizing floor bosses with him and most definitely not fighting it." No sooner than those words left his mouth, The <Behemoth>'s massive arm came barreling through the air and thwacked Ariel to the ground. This unfortunately made her seem like a rag doll as she skidded across the ground.

"ARIEL!! Are you alright? Oikawa wanted to check on her but knew this was also a perfect opportunity to land a counter strike on the beast. Resolving to check on her further after his strike, Oikawa leaped forward and sent his blade flying towards the throat of the massive Mob before them. His rapier pierced the skin of the <Behemoth> and sank deep into it. It may have come out the other side had it not been for the sheer amount of mass in the neck region of the creature alone.

Withdrawing his blade Oikawa, jumped back and nodded to everyone in his group. "I'm glad you guys stayed with me! Let's take this damned thing down!"

Eventually me and David made it to the lake. I selected the Viking boat and payed it off using David's col. I told david to type in the kids charecter name causing his body to appear in the boat. Then a bow with a flaming arrow appeared in my hand. David kicked the boat causing it to begin floating out to the center of the lake.

"May your soul pass onto Valhalla young warrior..." I said as I pulled back on the bow.

I shot the boat causing the whole thing to go up in flames. Me and David watched in silence as it burned. Then I opened up my menu and added David to my friend list.

"Go on... Get the f*ck out of here." I calmly said.

"Wait what? Your letting me go?" David stammered to ask.

"Get the f*ck out of here!... Before I change my Goddamn mind!" I yelled as I pushed David to the ground.

David then ran off and I could see on the friend tracker he made his way to pretty much the other side of the floor we were on. Once I knew no one else but Maruchan were in my vicinity I grabbed my chest and fell down to my knees.

(OOC: it's like a kill bill thing with the girls name being censored.)

"*girls name is censored* I promise you... Il make it out of this game. I promise il see you... Again." I said aloud as a single tear slid down my cheek.
