and the crow is back but it looks like the site got a whole new level of awesomeness...and new battle system?

Mess with the bull, and you get the horns. If you're not prepared for a fight, you shouldn't go looking for one.

Hey guys. Did you know there was a Windows 95 beta of SAO? Here is rare footage of the original "Link Start!"

Why on earth did people add a rule about event SP and posts some of us are posting as often as we can with as many characters as we can?
-
From what I'm gathering, this particular revision addresses the residual effects of the previous SP reward revamp, which allowed for up to 1 SP per page instead of 1 SP per thread. It's just reigning back what was essentially an oversight which hadn't been accounted for at the time- essentially the silliness that occurs when large amounts of people are all participating in one thread.
In the vast majority of RP instances, there should essentially be no change from how things were before this revision.

Essentially, one of the current aims of the staff (to the best of my knowledge) is to close off any exploits and residual silliness left over from previous staff members.
Before this rule, posting once per page of the F4 Dance event would give you an astonishing 1 SP per post that you did- exactly 20 times higher than what you'd get from a Solo Party thread (or, for comparison's sake, 10 times higher than a two-party thread, about 6.5 times higher than a three-party thread, etc.).
Under the new rules, you would have to post 3 times per page for the full reward for the Dance, rather than just once. That amounts to 33 posts required to get all 11 SP, rather than the previously required 11. That still amounts to getting 1 SP per every 3 posts that you've made, which is still a much higher ratio than you're able to find just about anywhere else.
If you managed to get in 11 posts under the new rules, you'd receive 3 SP (rounding) down or 4 SP if you made just one extra post. That would still amount to a roughly 4:1 posts to SP ratio. Personally, I find that to be very reasonable for that amount of participation.

Descriptions for floors 1 through 10 have been updated. Click here!

Updated Whistle for the Choir, borrowing a few more characters for this section. A little rough and not nearly as flow-y as I'd prefer, but still working on ironing out my handling of group-centered pieces. Just wanted to get this section off of my plate.

Second post up for my thread! http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/14087-whistle-to-the-choir/. Picks up from where the last one stopped. At some point I'd like to do vignettes with some other characters as well.

Never actually finish these things, but maybe this will be the one: http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/14087-whistle-to-the-choir/
Incredibly rusty, but it'll have to do. -

The ideal situation is to have somebody who's basically able to notice every cue that you've dropped and either follow it, or play with it in some way, but I think that's a reasonably unrealistic expectation to have. So I'm basically gonna do my own thing for a little and see if anything promising turns up.
