When you do the Earning a Living quest, you can have a go at taming a familiar every 15 posts. If you get a certain LD roll, which I think is between 12-18 or something like that, you get a familiar. If you manage to get a LD roll of 19 or higher, you get a familiar with a particular stat buff, which are all detailed here.

Then you submit it like you would an item for approval, and BING BANG BOOM, YOU'RE IN BUSINESS BABY

If there's an active performer you might want to get the song which gives you a bonus to your LD specifically for that quest.

Also actually it's <<Feeding the Enemy>> XD. <<Earning A Living>> is for professions :P
