  1. "It's nice to meet you, too."

Iggy smiled at her before bringing a glaring look at Hirru.  What was he doing now?

"I see you're getting along fine then.  What can I get you, before my oven gets cold again."

Hearing that he was on a time limit, Hirru began to think.. and think.. thinking about food was never his strong suit.  After some time, Iggy gave up on him and turned her attention to Starrine.  It would be some time until he actually chose something anyway.

"So, what can I get you?  I got curry rice; chicken cutlet, egg, corn, beef, pork."

She smiled her most sincere smile that Hirru has ever seen on her.  Though that made him lose his focus on what he wanted.  Did he want the thing that wasn't chicken, but tasted like it, or something else.

  2. ((Posting order is as such  Xion > Mack > Beoreson > Hirru.  MOBs will be controlled by Xion and myself, if more than one appears.))

Hirru nods in agreement to all said actions.before turning to Xion.  He smiled at the person he could call his friend before pulling out his menu and selecting all present into the party.  Once they all pressed 'yes', three new hp bars appeared under his with the names of all of them.  Hirru stood firmly before them and addressed them.

"Team, the situation is thus: the first floor dungeon has been a proving grounds for the lower players ever since the lead group defeated the boss.  Our mission is to clear out the first floor dungeon in search of anything that was left behind, or missed by the lead group, and continue on to the second floor.  Execution will be as follows: Xion our tank will take point and lead the team into the dungeon.  Mack will the second to cross followed by Beoreson.  I will take rear post as leader."

Hirru paused for a second to make sure that they were following along.  He opened his menu to pull out the players guide redux, a new guide that came out for the first ten floors after they were beat.

"In case of being attacked by multiple enemies, I will act as a secondary tank.  As of now, our only equipment is what we have on us now, and what we can find.  Information about the dungeon is as follows:  Humanoid beings from the look of them.  Named Kobold, most of them have HP from 19~20 with a possible 2~3 DMG.  Many tunnels leading to dead ends, and traps."

Hirru closed the book before reading onward, the rest of it was about the boss which wasn't an issue anymore.

"On my command, we move out!"

((I didn't know if I should keep it towards the original, or towards the sites version of the dungeon.  Both are very vague on everything before the boss fights, though.))

  3. Hirru focused back on Starrine to assess how she was doing.  Her health should gradually heal from eating the food, but her fighting needed some work.  Not that he could say anything, he literally had to fight with one arm once.  Hirru chuckled at that memory.  Seeing the young woman looking at him, he waved it off.

"Its nothing.  Old memories popping up.  Anyway, you did good out there, if not a little rusty.  You'll do fine though."

Soon after that, the female waitress/chef came to the other side of the small wall to greet them.  She looked to be around nineteen years of age with long brown hair tied in a ponytail.

"Welcome!  What kind of curry would you like today?  We have a large assortment of condiments to filled your curry needs."

Her hazel eyes stared into his soul as she realized who it was.  She looked from him to Starrine wondering what this was all about.

"Oh Hirru!  It's been a while, and who's this?"

"It has been a while, but I've been busy on my own."

Hirru looked at Starrine before nodding her to go on and greet Iggy.  She wasn't going to bite... any harder than she could.

  4. Hirru motioned for her to follow him, and walked down to an old haunt of his.  A rather odd looking shack with a sign saying "Iggy's Curry" on one side.  A low curtain over looked a long table inset into a low wall from which one could see a curtain in the back of the shack.  A row of stools were set up along the long table for customers to sit on while they waited to be served.

    "Well that's different."

Sitting down at the table, looked over the other side of the small wall that was between them and the back of the shack.  He couldn't see anything special about it, not even a built in grill or oven.  What happened here?  His question was about to be answered when something from behind the far curtain moved.

"Iggy! Is that you over there?!"

Popping their head out of curtain, a lanky brown haired girl came into view.

"Customers!  Welcome to Iggy's Curry!  I'll be with you in just one second."

((Of course, now all there is to finish a thread is to accumulate around 22 posts between everyone in the thread.  This is rather easy to do with many people, but much harder if you solo.  Why is that?  Because you can still be counted against you for spam in a solo if you don't post a good description.

Anyway, this part may take us to 22 posts, or not, but once we do, I'll end the thread there.  Once a thread is ended, the participants get a set number of Col and a Skill Point (SP).  The thread gets 400 Col for the party to divide between so for this one, we both get 200 Col.  We also get a SP each.  Use them wisely.

  5. Hirru let his guard down as he saw the young woman fly past him and score a killing blow on the boar.  As it shattered, a grin fell upon his face as he watching Starrine sheath her sword in triumph and raised her hand in the air.  Hirru had to oblige and high-five her.

"Good job!  Unfortunately, it didn't give you any items."

Hirru shrugged his shoulders before patting her on her shoulder.

"Oh well, it happens.  Lets get out of here before another boar decides to charge you.  I know this great place with some good food."

((Loot explained:  When you kill a mob, you may have a chance to get something out of it.  This is indicated by the Loot Dice (LD) and usually would have given you a material regardless of what you got on the LD.  Myself being here, however, defeats that purpose as a MOB must be, at least, half the health of the 'highest leveled character' which would be Hirru.

Now, if we did fight a HP 12 Boar, this would have given us some loot and Col, but that's not the case.  Since it didn't fit that criteria, we go to the non-combat loot which requires a 15 or higher LD to get anything.

For now, we will be taking a break from the battles so that Starrine doesn't die first thread.))

  6. Hirru watched as Starrine continued to use an evasive technique to try and attack the boar.  This time she missed and the boar hit her again.  Not as bad as he thought it would be, but she was already in the yellow.  If she continued the way she was, Starrine would be dead.  Not having any of that, Hirru stepped into the fray.  He immediately opened his menu/party/create/assist and sent a party invite to Starrine.  In the mean time, Hirru unsheathed his Anneal Blade and readied an attack.

"I'll be your shield.  Now, try to defeat this pig!"

    [ID = 26850][BD 1]

    [Hirru HP = 23/23]

    [Starrine HP = 3/7]

    [Boar HP = 1/3]

((Notice how I rolled but only placed the BD?  That is because, as more than one person enters a fight, the mob is only controlled by one person, usually the one that attacks first.  Players of higher levels usually do this, but for this instance, it will be you.

Now there is another thing called Hate which is basically Aggro in the system.  We will be ignoring that for this boar, so go nuts.))

  7. Hirru nodded his approval of her using a more evasive technique.  Reminded him of his own style, even though that was from his stats.  He was about to say something when she missed, but decided against it.  He only kept his left hand on the pommel of the Anneal Blade by his side, ready to come in to defend.

"You're doing well!  Just keep it up, and you'll be fine."

Hirru readied himself for anything that should happen from here on.  If it looked like she would be hit by a strong attack, he would rush in to defend her.

((Sadly, right now, all you can do is trust the heart of the dice.  Hirru will defend the next hit if your MD is a crit.))

  8. Hirru watched as the young swordswoman went into battle with the fearsome <<Wild Boar>>.  He whistled a high note when she actually connected the hit, but the boar pushed her out of the way causing a good chunk of damage.  He grimaced as Starrine readied herself against another attack.

"Try a more defensive approach!  If you just charge it, it'll gore you even harder.  It has very easy telltales."

He looked on and wondered what sensei would have done in this situation.  He would probably stop her before the boar would kill her.

  9. Hirru didn't really know what to do with this one.  He has met many players in his time adventuring, but all of them were at least experienced fighters by then.  This one flat out said that she was new.  It was to this regard that he had to help her out.  Not just as an act of kindness, but his sensei did the same for him.

"Well, you can start by fighting a boar out there."

Hirru sighed before turning towards the plains and spotting some boars.  He pointed at a few of them.

"They are like slimes in other games, or that's what everyone says.  Fairly easy for your level like you."

((Alright, Battle time.  Here we will start with the basics.  To do a proper action with dice you need to make a generic post.  Just have it saying something about Starrine going out to face one of the boars.  From there, "click submit reply" to get a post.

Now, here is the complicated stuff.  Go to the upper right hand corner of your post where it says "Share this post", copy the url given and go to the dice roller -> http://www.cydel.net/dice.php.  Place the url of your post into the "URL where the rolls will be used" box and  enter your name at the top.  Click the roll dice and await your dice roll result.

You will be given an ID number and all the dice rolls.  We will only be using the Battle and MOB for now.   When you get your dice, go back to your post and "Edit" it with the ID and dice results.  You can post them as such:

    [ID = ?????] [BD = #] [MD = #]

For damage, you currently do [2] points of DMG because of your sword skill, but only if you hit it.  The boar does 1 damage, if it hits you.  You hit the boar if you get a [6] or above on the BD.  The boar will hit  if it gets a [6] or higher on the MD.  You can post HP underneath your roll like this:

    [Starrine HP = 5/5]

    [Boar HP = 3/3]

From there, roleplay how the dice roll effects your character and click "Save"

    Now, lets start!

  10. Hirru felt a sudden change in his position when something plowed full force into him.  Taking a quick knee to keep on his feet, he looked over at the figure that just bumped into him.  This thing was actually a person, and from her appearance a novice in the game.  Even though you couldn't see stats or names, a persons appearance could tell you quite a bit.  Her clothing looked new-ish, and she still carried the beginner curved sword; something quickly discarded after getting a better one.  What the actual factor through all that was the eyes.  Eyes would never lie to anyone, and these were showing a mixture of emotions.  Fear, intrigue, but most importantly determination.

Picking himself off the ground, he listened to her apology and greeting before Starrine held out her hand in greeting.  Hirru chuckled before grasping her hand in greeting.

"It's fine.  My name is Hirru.  It's nice to meet you, Starrine.  If you don't mind me asking, where are you off to at such speed to run into me?"

  11. Following the fall of the game, many players were forced to stay in the Town of Beginnings.  All of them, if not most, were there by fear.  Fear that the world would come collapsing upon them.  There were those that wanted to continue on, but needed the help of others to get there.  Then there were those that went out on their own and got lucky along the way.  Many have chosen their fates here.  What will become of the next one?

Hirru waited outside the exit to the Town of Beginnings.  He didn't really know what for, but something in him said to wait here, and you would know.

((We'll start with a simple introductions before going into everything))

  12. Hirru was instantly taken aback by the sudden question.  Usually people don't talk about the other side, which has been easier for him than most.  Most people would rather dodge the question, but he really had no reason to.  The waitress dropped off two glasses of water as usual.  Hirru grabbed the glass and sipped it.

    "I... don't remember..."

Trying to remember anything was painful, and even the slightest glimpse has nearly torn his head apart.  Though it was painful, he still wanted to find out anything about himself, and his memories.

"I just remember lights and awaking in the Town of Beginnings..  I couldn't move for some reason, and some people helped me get my bearings.  They were my first friends, that I know of, but they left a long while ago.  Now, I'm looking for them and anything that can help me remember the outside world."

  13. If you're looking for easily soloed quests:

    • <<Breaking the Unbreakable>> - A quest with nothing needed other than posting about breaking a huge boulder till a full page.  This one bags you an unlocked skill and two SP (1 for quest and 1 for thread) (No mobs so no fear of death)
      http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/440-breaking-the-unbreakable/
    • <<Secret Medicine of the Forest>> - Literally no prerequisites needed.  Just battle a bunch of Nepents until you get a full page and you get a sword, and two SP (1 for quest and 1 for thread)  (Care taken not to die as mobs are present)
      http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/190-secret-medicine-of-the-forest/
    • <<Earning a Living>> - Nothing really needed for this one either.  Just gather Materials until you're satisfied.  Full page needed, and boom!  You have yourself a profession to make Col on, a shop to create and sell at, extra Mats, and 2 SP (1 for quest and 1 for thread)  (Fighting Mobs for Mats are optional)
      http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/6380-â«earning-a-livingâ»/

Those are the three easiest that anyone ever does anymore.  There are more easy ones that can net you some good items, but I haven't really looked into them as much.

  14. Hirru grasped Vasth hand in a hearty shake.

"You can call me, Hirru.  Nice to meet you too."

It's hard to find many friendly people in this world.  Not many of those would carry a complete stranger to a room and let him sleep.  Hirru smiled as they made their way down to the tavern and sat at a table.  At least it wasn't someone that wanted to kill him.  That would be bad.

A waiter came up to them in the normal NPC fashion as they had sat down, causing the NPC to have its flag activated.  Instantly, Hirru blurted out.

    "Two orders of the special!"

    "Sir, its morning."

    "Two orders of the regular!"

  15. Hirru turned to find that someone had walked up to him while his were glued to the entrance.  He saw a gruff looking individual speaking to him in a no-nonsense manner of speak.  He found himself having to look up at the tall man before he could answer in kind.

"Well, I guess we can party up as this will be problematic if we don't."

He nodded to the warrior before another came into view.  This one looked like any of the other players that have re-started their adventure within Aincrad.  This one actually introduced themselves as Beoreson before requesting a party with us.  Hirru smiled as he looked on at Beoreson standing at ease.  He winced a little when that caused a sharp pain through his left eye.  He quickly shook it off before speaking towards them.

"Welcome, Beoreson and you as well.  My name is Hirru.  It is a pleasure to meet you both, but it would keep me at ease if we get one more in here.  This place could be the next step to our further goals or our final end, if we do not plan accordingly."

((I'm loving how the current party has all characters of some military experience))

  16. Labyrinth of the First Floor

The first step towards freedom that the front-liners passed months before.  A harrowing tower of immense proportions, though, not as big as Aincrad herself.  The grey-ish white tower that ascended up towards the ceiling which doubled as the beginning of the second floor.  The contents of which gave the denizens of Aincrad the fear that they would never leave this forsaken world.

Months ago, the denizens of Aincrad faced the Floor Boss and have since went on to defeat the next ten floors.  Currently on the 11th floor, denizens await the felling of the next boss.  Victory will be secured for all, and everyone will be freed from this madness.

In the meantime, a lone warrior stood before the entrance to the first floor labyrinth.  Looking into the entrance to it, he could feel the danger inside.  Something in his mind told him to run away, but he stood his ground.

This was his chance to continue on the right path.

This was his next step to freedom.

  17. "Not that I know of.. I don't think it was much.  Maybe I was just experimenting on something.  I do that sometimes."

It was true, as Hirru needed to find out what else could trigger his memories.  He tried fighting the mobs and that gave a little bit of his memories, so he continues that as much as he can.  He also had some strong instances while interacting with people, so he has tried to talk to as many people as possible.  It hasn't gone that well, especially when something painful comes up.

"Don't worry about it!  It seemed like a failure anyway."

He scratched his head in embarrassment and went over to the door.

"Come on!  I'll treat ya to breakfast!"

  18. Hirru looked at his meat and pulled off the grill what should be beef.  Placing it in his mouth, it tasted like beef.  It even tasted like old boot, dunno how he could have recalled that taste, but it came to his mind.  Swallowing the weird food, he picked up another and took a bite out of it.

Thinking about what Xion said, some thoughts came to his mind.  He swallowed what was in his mouth before speaking.

"Well, there are many ways to get to a destination, but from what I know, there are only two methods."

He pulled open his menu and looked at his map.  Sure enough, there was a main road leading towards Tolbana from Horunka, and then there was the woods in between.

"Well, there is the road leading between Horunka village and Tolbana.  It's the main passage between them, but that is also where I've been getting attacked lately.  The second option is going straight through the woods towards Tolbana."

Hirru took another thing of meat and threw it in his mouth, not caring about the taste anymore.  Chewing a little before swallowing it.

"That way is more mysterious, since the woods hides more monsters than there are out in the fields.  I've also heard of traps hidden in the brush.  We would have to be very careful with going through there."

After all the food was done, the waitress came back to collect the plates, but not before giving the check.

"50 Col each?  That's not so bad."

    [LD = 9] No Treasure

I had to sit down for a second before realizing that the pup was looking at me.

"Sorry, I don't have anything to eat unless you like week old bread."

I barked back in response before starting to sniff the ground around the area.  It then stopped before sniffing the air.  Its ears drooped before walking back into the forest.

"Hmm that was weird, was it looking for something?  Oh well, nothing is ever easily gained."

Speaking of which, I had to get back to the family.  I finally had the key ingredient and could get this thing over with.  I walked back to the village to collect my due.

    **************************************

I opened the door to find the mother sitting by the fire.  She immediately stood up and walked towards me.

    "Did you get the ovume?"

    "Yes, I did."

I said as I opened my inventory to pull out what looked like a small ovular object.  I placed it in the awaiting hands of the woman and she immediately walked over to the pot.  Smoke spurted from the contents, and after a few minutes of stirring was done.  The mother filled a cup with the golden mixture, and walked to the door where another session of coughing came from.  As she opened the door, I could see the child in bed as the mother fed them the medicine.

As I watched, I felt like this was very familiar.  It felt like a sense of nostalgia, as if I had lived this before.  Was this a glimpse into my childhood?  I could see what seemed like my own mother from her.  The concern and care for her sickened young child as they lay helpless in bed.  Her soothing voice calming my every nerve.

    "Mom... I"

    "Excuse me?"

I was pulled back into reality when the mother had finally finished.  The child was no longer coughing and the golden question mark was back over her head.  She bowed slightly before looking me in the eyes with a smile.

"Thank you, adventurer!  Without you, my child would have succumbed to the illness.  It is not much, but ever since my father passed i had no need for this.  Please, take this blade with you on your adventures.  May it serve you well."

She held up a fine looking sword seemed much better than my current sword.  A prompt immediately came up that had information about the completed quest.  The sword immediately disappeared from her hands and into my inventory.  I smiled as I waved goodbye.

"I had just save a family"

  20. [ID 26717] Did me and this pup just super-slam these two Nepents?

    [Hirru = 10] Crit + 2

    [Flower Nepent ( 9-1 )= 8] Crit + 1

    [Dire Wolf Pup (CD) = 12] Crit + 2

As I lunged forward, I could see the pup doing the same.  Both of my weapon and the air around it were glowing.  Our attacked hit their marks perfectly.  It was as if we were in sync.

The two nepents screeched one last time, and vanished into a cloud of light particles.  The pup, once growling, just sat down and scratched itself.  I don't know if it was a threat or not, but it did help me.

"Thank you, little one.  I'll be on my leave now."

I said as a prompt told me of the one nepent that I killed.  Shame that I couldn't kill them all and get the experience.  Though, apparently I did get enough to get to the next level.  Level 9 and the quest item <<Nepent Ovume>>.

"Finally, we can save her family!"

The wolf pup howled out loud which somehow killed off the nepent it was fighting.  It was fairly loud, but its attack range must have been proximity, because it did not harm myself or the other two nepents.  As I was distracted, the flowered one cut me across my chest.  I leaped back from my earlier position to catch my breath.

From the way things were looking, I needed to kill off the flowered one before the pup gets to it, if I wanted to finish this mission.

  22. Hirru scooted himself to the side of the bed and bent over while shaking his head.  He remembered that much, but what about before that.  What made him drink so much?  He...

"I.. don't know.  Something must of snapped for that to happen.  I don't normally drink, or I think I don't."

Getting up, Hirru stretched as far as he could.  Though the euphoria of releasing such tension in the body wasn't there, he could still imagine that it was there.  It felt great.

"So what are you out here for?  If you don't mind me asking, that is.  Not many people stop at Horunka.  They usually complete the only quest here and move on."

After a while of fighting, I began to tire easily.  Maybe it was from the long day, or from the pressure of multiple enemies, or the pup doing half a health bars full of damage.  Either way, it was not something that made everything miss their targets.  A weird battle, this was.

My next attack would have hit, if I wasn't distracted by the Nepent that started coming after me.  A large red flash grew from behind it, and its health flashed.  It immediately turned attention to the pup again, as if it did the damage.

I stepped back a bit to access what to do next.  This entire situation was out of control.  Too many Nepent, and an over-powered pup.  What next?  I'm going to grow my arm back out of thin air?  What a laugh!

  25. Hirru looked this warrior up and down. He would be certain that this person would be very helpful in times to come.  For now, he was a little curious on what happened.

"Well, I would feel better if I knew how I got in here.  This might be a story that I don't want to hear, but what happened last night?"

It was a genuine question of concern.  He didn't want to think that he did anything stupid last night.  Neither did he want to think that this person was a bad person either.  Something about this guy looked like he could be trusted, though, that is everyone that Hirru meets.
