    "Alright, let's finish this!"

Hirru called out to the scorpion as he rushed in to kill the beast.  Though, it would have been much more cool looking to have finished it himself, he over shot his chance and got hit.. by the stinger... again. (4 DMG)(PLZ 1 turn) Falling to the ground, Hirru contemplated life as he knew it.  As the hot sands of time crawled into his soul, Hirru could feel his sanity slowly falling.

"Well yes Mr. Penguin.. I'M FRIGID!"

  2. I watched the little bugger as it flew a round in a rather intricate pattern, but it would eventually attack me.  Sure enough, the buzzing would be heard coming closer to him before it made a straight bee-line towards me.  I stepped away from its trajectory while trying to slice into the buzzing creature of annoyance.  Of course, I would miss cause that thing was going a bit too fast for its own good.

    "Slow down you little annoyance!"

  3. ((Updated that post.. thanks for the reminder.. kinda stuck on the paralysis part.. Also, the LD will tell who gets hit.  1-10 Hirru / 11-20 Kalesh))

Hirru watched Kalesh do as much damage as he could to the scorpion, a blip.  Well, it was better than nothing he thought to himself.  As long as the bugger didn't do anything that would cause severe rage to ensue, he would be fine with it.  That being said, the sand was still as hot as a beach that had no water around.  Oh wait...

The scorpion.. went after Hirru and tried to snap at it with its pincer, but it missed the target as his paralysis finally came to an end.  Quickly jumping back to his feet as he shook off the numbness, Hirru readied his blade for vengeance.

"Alright, big shot.. you're mine now!"

A quick step around the creature was enough to distract it and he sliced through the carapace of the scorpion, causing a fair cry to come out.

  4. I poised myself as the buzzing menace flew up to get the drop on me, but that wasn't happening a third time.  As it came down, I rolled away just in time, and it crashed into a large rock formation nearby.  Taking this opportunity, I ran towards the wretched thing and loaded up the sword skill <<Rage Spike>> to hurtle myself at the wasp and cause an upward strike on it.

"Yeah!  How do you like that?!"

The wasp regained control of itself and buzzed angrily at me.  Its mandibles moving in a way that was really gross.

Hirru could do nothing, but watch as the two handed sword user named Kalesh went in, and took a small chunk out of the scorpions health, but it didn't end there.  The scorpion, now ticked off, kept its attention towards Hirru and attacked... with its tail.. again.

Hirru could feel the numbing agent go away, and was about to get back up, if it wasn't for that paralysis toxin!  Hirru couldn't even attack, which killed his mood even faster.  He was having none of this, and would have to make a mental note to disregard all bugs later in life.

"Well, this sand couldn't be any hotter... oh wait.. IT IS!!"

Hirru sighed as he lay sprawled in the sand.

"See what you can do with this thing."

    "That's what I'm planning on!"

Hirru called out in response.  Truly, he wanted to get a bigger aggro set on him, but the world could turn anything around.  He would have to make this quick, if they wanted to get going, and find this cache before the day ends.  Though, they would have to get through the blistering heat before all that, and even then, there could always be more mobs to deal with.

The scorpion clicked its only pincer several times, trying to intimidate Hirru, but he was having none of it...

That feeling was what brought this event along.  Trying to get into the striking zone of the scorpion, Hirru got too close to the scorpion when it could strike faster than he could.  The stinger hit Hirru straight in the chest, and he was blasted back, laying prone on the ground. (4 DMG)  Feeling a little dazed, he tried to get up, but nothing would budge.  That's when he saw something familiar [Paralysis duration 1]  Luckily, he could still move his head, and tried to yell out..

    "Okay!  Attack now!"

  7. This time, things were slightly different than before.  Now, I was able to bypass the wasps attacks, but nothing else changed.  Oh!  There was also the fact that I didn't heal from my skill.  Great!  Everything was just peachy now!  Nothing could get better!

The wasp, on the other hand, looked like it was incredibly pissed, but that was really hard to tell from its constant buzzing.  That and it just looked intimidating.

"One of these days, I'm going to hit you!"

Hirru was glad that Kalesh could take orders.  Though, not that he had any problems with anyone that didn't, he just wanted to make sure that he was the brunt of this things damage, if it could touch him.  Speaking of which, the scorpion looked to be ready for an attack.  It scuttled for a bit, sizing up its prey as it snapped its pincers.  When it thought it had an openning, it lunged forward.. and caught Hirru with the tip of its claw. (2 DMG)

    "Grr.."

Hirru growled at it before using his speed to his advantage, he got behind where that claw was and performed a <<Slant>> on it, causing it to be cut off.  (5 DMG) Backing off, the scorpion followed his movements.  Good, it was keeping its attention on him, but to be safe, Hirru yelled out.

  9. I had to wonder what to do at this point.  I was doing nothing to this wasp, and it was tearing through my health, as if it were nothing.  Of course!  I keep neglecting to add to my points into my light armor.  I could be taking much less damage at this point, but I really wanted to get stronger.  If only my armor would have been done before he got here, then he would be able to heal so much more.

The wasp came at me again, and caused even greater damage this time.  If it wasn't for this battle healing, I would be in worse shape.

  10. I haven't fought many flying creatures lately, and it was showing.  Trying to hit a flying thing was harder than it looked, and to anyone watching, it would seem just as silly.  Imagine someone trying to swat a fly, but the fly swatter was a heavy blade, and the fly was twenty times its original mass.  I shook that out of my head.

    "Where did that come from?"

That moments hesitation caused me to get stung by the wasp.  The sting hurt slightly, but I was getting used to it.  The pain never bothered me anyway.

  11. I yelled out to the heavens above, but my cries would be muffled by thousands of mel of tower.  I was getting tired of being on this floor, and was ready to go on to the next floor, but had so many setbacks that I've been getting tired of it.  Today, I thought I'd let off some steam by hunting down one of the field bosses that had appeared around the area.  It would be a better change of pace for me, and would be better for me, in the long run.

When I got to the area that the Queen Wasp was supposed to be summoned from, looked and found nothing around.  The information that I remembered said that the original party that found it had to kill some normal wasps around the area.  I unsheathed aimed sword and aimed for one of the wasps that was hovering above the area.

    <<Wind Wasp>>  HP 16 | DMG 2

My blows were easily evaded as the wasp flew in to try and sting me, but I was able to get out of the way, in time.

  12. Hunting the Queen

The information brokers have told of a small party that was hunting wasps to gain materials for their weapon upgrades.  As they fought on, a field boss spawned from seemingly nowhere, and attacked the party.  Thankfully, no one died, but the very matter that there was a boss type monster around this floor concerned many.  Fortunately, it would give a type of temporary weapon enhancement potion when killed, and respawned like any normal field boss.  Many hunters have gone to tackle this beast, there was now one more to tackle the task at hand.

    "Why am I still here?!"

    [ID: 28067][BD = 4][CD = 3][MD = 1]

Having the conversation change from nothing in particular to something was a change that he needed.  The heat from whatever was so damn hot was killing him.  Though, he preferred this to the blistering cold of the Fourth Floor.  Though, to be exact...

"Kinda don't like either.. I loved the climates of the first three floors, where the only adverse weather was a rainstorm."

Hirru said as he pulled the bottle of water, that had been drained for a while, out and threw it to the ground.  It shattered instantly, but something didn't seem right about the area where he hit.  As he looked on, the sand began to twist and turn until a rather large scorpion appeared from the sands.

    <<Scorpion>> HP 16 | DMG 2 | PLZ 1

Its tail went straight for Hirru, but he made his attack at the same time, parrying each other.  Hirru jumped back before yelling towards Kalesh.

"Finally, some action!  Stay behind me, and don't attack until I tell you to!  I don't want you to attract its aggro."

  14. Hirru kept his mind on the prize.  The one that messed with him was one his blacklist, and was about to be eliminated.  Taking another rock in hand, he did some test aiming without throwing it.  When he thought it was good to be thrown, he turned around to envision the boar as it oinked around the field.  Hirru didn't hear the respective hum of a skill, but still threw it.  It didn't go very far, and Hirru shrugged.

    "Wish I knew the <<Sword Throw>> skill.."

  15. Hirru watched as the first Kobold was extinguished by their combined effort.  Shattering into many pieces, Hirru prepared himself as he rushed the next one.  Running forward, he prepared a sword skill.

    [ID: 28064][BD: 10][MD: 1]

A slight hum sounded out when it activated, a warm glow appeared around his blade.  <<Rage Spike>> a charging attack that would have him run straight in, and cause an upward strike from his side.  Hirru jumped back to avoid any repercussions from the swing.  The Kobold screamed in agony, and dropped to the ground holding its face.  Any attempt at fighting nearly lost to it.

    "Now!  Take it out!"

  16. ((Kobold instantly gained 4 feet of height but lost one eye lol at Beoreson calling it a cyclops))

Hirru watched as the team whittled down the health of the first Kobold.  Anger seemed to flush its face as it tried to attack Xion.  It would get past his defense somehow, and cause a fair hit.  If it wasn't for his armor, he would have taken quite a bit more.

    [LD: 20] Found the Room!

Hoping to catch the Kobold by surprise, Hirru ran towards the weakest one that had just hit Xion.  His swing was wide and it hit the wall on the other side.  Funny how things work, as he triggered the switch for the hidden door to open inwards before lifting into the ceiling.

"Huh? So that's where it was!"

    [ID: 28039][MD: 7]

The second Kobold also took aim at Xion with new found hate, and swung its rusty machete.  It too was also able to get in-between Xion's defenses and scored a hit against his armor.

"Same tactic!  Attack the weaker one first!"

  17. "Meh, sounds good to me."

Anything to get this thing started.  If not, he would probably go on ahead anyway.  Hirru had not explored this floor yet, trying to go in sequence, but that wasn't turning out well now, wasn't it!  Having found no solace in getting away from the heat, and having to carry on for a day making it even better, Hirru pulled out a thing of water and drank slowly, and would be doing so until they got there.

Accepting the party, Hirru noticed the small HP bar underneath his, but wouldn't be able to see what it actually was.  That wouldn't be too hard from the gear that Kalesh had on.  Having fiddled around with everything that they could, they started off in the direction that Kalesh would point.  Hirru, being the more durable, went first.

    ***************

    Some time later...

    "Are we there yet..."

  18. Hirru was lead through a mountain pass which lead down into a valley below.  Looking down towards the upcoming terrain, he didn't notice the bevy of rocks falling down until he heard Mai call out to it.  Looking on, he watched her run up the slope to deal with, what looked like, a huge rock formation that had come to life.  Managing to take out a small blip of its health, Hirru drew his Anneal Blade to deal with the new menace to their tour.

    "Now that's a beauty!"

He grinned as recalled his previous encounters with higher-than-he-was enemies brought him one tactic.  Sword Skill: <<Sonic Leap>> was a sword skill that could be aimed in the air for airborne targets.  Doing just that, as he ran forward with his sword glowing, the world seemed to push his blade along as he leaped into the air to deal a downward blow on the Rock Golem.

  19. "That I am!"

Hirru took Kalesh's hand in his and shook heartily.  Hirru was noticeably friendly as he grinned from ear to ear.  If it wasn't for the fact that he looked like a green haired Davy Crockett, he would be enjoying this encounter, but the heat was going to get to him sooner or later. As they finished, Hirru noticed the broadsword and felt that there should be a sheath to that thing, but since the inventory was also a thing in this world, he decided not to go into it.

    "Wait.. what?  Two days!"

His head hung high as he sighed heavily.  Surely it didn't have to be that way.  From the guys description from the post, it sounded like a quick 'kill it and win' situation.  He had only heard of the <<Traveller>> quest from someone else.  He didn't know it would take two days to get to wherever they needed to go!  Impatience was going to get him into quite a few battles.

"FFFFFFFFffffffffffffffine!  Let's get this party started!"

  20. Hirru was on the first floor after having a long talk with a friend.  It was around that time that he received an message from someone.  It was about that request for a quest.  Hirru was wondering what was going on with that, but got his answer was right here in front of him.  The message was from a Kalesh, and he wanted them to meet on the Fifth Floor at the cities edge.  Having just gone through a hellish time in the teleporter, he really didn't want to take it again, but it would be a full weeks walk to go through every dungeon on every floor.  Taking his chances, Hirru walked up to the portal and called out,

    "Warp! Armadillo!"

    *************

    "Why is it so hot?!"

Hirru's automatic response after he landed in the portal square for Armadillo, the central city for the 5th floor.  He had heard about the atmosphere of the 5th floor, but didn't really want to think about it.  Now, he had to deal with it, as the heat from the desert floor swept throught the streets, causing him to wish that he wasn't wearing such hot armor.  Reaching the destination, Hirru noticed a rather plain looking character in a small hood.  He's seen his kind before, and hoped that he was nice.  Hirru waved at the man.

"Hello, you must be Kalesh?  Nice to meet you!"

  21. "Ha ha, maybe not."

Hirru looked around the area, and thought about what Koumori said.  It was true that they were the only ones there, but that wasn't what he thought.  The NPCs, though mindless in their sense of being, were still a part of the economy in some way or fashion.  Then there was the random occurrences that would happen while people are trying to make a living.  Some would strike it rich, then next day would be swamped by hundreds of mobs in the same area.  There was nothing that anyone could do about that.

"Maybe now, I'll actually get something.."

Turning from his position, he envisioned his rock hitting one of the boars.  Sure enough, after a slight hum and a quick movement, the boar was dead, and Hirru had another point under his belt.

    "All tied up now!"

  22. Hirru took the embrace with a little of a surprise, but he was technically ready for it the entire time.  His friend was in need, and he was there to give him the time that he needed.  He returned the hug in kind.

    "You're welcome."

He said before getting back up, and hearing Xion apologize to him.

"There is no need to be sorry.  I've seen the real you, and that makes me proud to see."

Hirru smiled back at him before going to the counter where the paper was.  After a while, he opened his menu and six ingots of various ores fell across the counter.  Having thought that it was enough, he turned back towards the Xion.

"I'll give you some time to get back to your work, I have my own work to do, as well."

Hirru turned towards the door, but before he left a small piece of paper fell from his hand.

    "See ya!"

A smile could be seen from Hirru's face as walked out

    Patience

    Name: Patience

Item Type: 1 Handed Straight Sword (Long Sword)

    Quality: Rare

    Enchantments: +1 DMG / +1 BLEED

Description: A blade that causes bleeding damage over time.  The blades red tinge denotes the possibility that it consumes the blood that remains on its surface.

~~"The lone swordsman crept through the hollow corridor into the inner sanctum of an unholy cathedral.  Resting with its blade in a pedestal, a single sword lay.  A voice called out to the warrior, 'Thou that seeketh the power to end thy foes; give onto the blade ones own life blood, and take sword in hand."  The warrior approached the sword and upon seeing the inner blades, took both in hand, slicing into his skin.  His blood flowed freely onto the main blade which seemed to be absorbed into itself causing the blade to turn from its shiny gloss, to a darkened red like that blood was now one with the blade.  Taking sword in hand, he pulled and the sword was free.  'Patience in death as one would be in life.' the voice called out one final time."~~

~~"The lone swordsman crept through the hallowed halls into the inner sanctum of a holy church.  Resting with its blade in a pedestal, a single sword lay.  A voice called out to the warrior, 'Thou that seeketh the power to stop thy foes; give onto the blade your solemn vow, and take sword in hand and hold it skyward."  The warrior approached the sword and upon reaching the pedestal, lowered himself to one knee, and vowed to use the blade only on those that seek damnation. Taking sword in hand, he pulled and the sword was free.  As he proceeded to point the blade skyward, an arch of lightning crashed from the holy symbol on the wall, to the blade.  The warrior was surprised to not be harmed. 'Time is yours to control.' the voice called out one final time."~~

Let the creation of these blades remind you that all is well in your world, as we fight to save mine.

    ~ Your friend,

    Hirru

  24. Hirru had to chuckle as Koumori bragged about his ability to smite a pig with a rock, from behind his back, without looking.  The more Hirru thought about it, he had to think about how this world worked.  Though, he kept that all to himself, but thinking about the sword skills that this world used for combat.  They seemed to be forced along by something that would pull them towards their target.  It was a belief in him, that something supernatural was about it.  Like magic, but he had heard that there was no such thing in this world.  Was it something else?

"I'd prefer hunting with my sword, but lets keep this up a bit."

Hirru tried again, but nothing came of it.  He even missed the boar again.  The boar looked at him before trudging though the grass.
