  1. Hunter of Orange

In this episode of [Forgotten Dreams], our young monster hunter has turned player killer hunter as he searches for the ones that may have been the cause of death of a friend, Lindow.  He was tipped off that there have been sightings of some orange players on the fourth floor, and was going to investigate.  As memories of the past have been returning to him in a much more frequent pattern, our young hunter has become more hollow to the individual concerns, and has set his sights on any that would dare to show themselves with the intent to kill.  Unfortunately, his state-of-mind has made his decision making process not concern how these people have become orange, and will attack anyone with the tag.  Hopefully, he has kept his loyalty to his friends to not kill...

    ...or has he?

    *****************************************

Hirru found himself in front of the caverns that he and Lindow had tried to search through weeks before he died.  From sources remaining anonymous, he was found out here before his tragic end.  Seemingly out of spite for him, it would be the very cavern that they wanted to clear out before.  If Hirru had been there, Lindow wouldn't have died.  He would still be there with the Crimson Blades, giving his sound advice to the new members.  Now, they would only know his legend as he was.

Tears rolled down from his eyes as he thought about it, but his eyes were hollowed by now.  Having recently changed them back to their original color after some consideration to change his appearance to throw off anyone that knew him.  Though, if they were a friend, they could see his friendly ping on the map to confirm his person.  He even changed his hair to a darker green than before, which would probably throw that plan out the window as he was known as the green-haired hunter.

He sighed as he looked into the caverns entrance.  Crystalline structures all along the walls of the cavern reflected light into the deepest reaches of the cave, giving a decent amount of light.  There would be plenty of mining spots and the occasional monster along the way, but he was in search of something more player related: Orange Players.  Lindow was searching for them when he met his end, and Hirru was going to finish where he left off.  Though, he didn't really plan very far, as his mind was set on only finding them.  He figured he would fight any that he would find, but that wouldn't give him any information about the actual guild that they were apart of.  He would have to pry the information out of them, if anything.

    "Show me the way..."

Hirru said softly as he stepped into the cavern.

  2. ((I'm assuming we're going the Dark Elf Route since that one is the only one told within The Concerto of Black and White))

Hirru found himself on the 3rd floor of Aincrad, the floor of the elves, from what everyone was talking about on the other floors.  He wanted to see for himself, and sure enough, all of the denizens were of a different breed than everyone else that he knew.  Though, they still looked like the humans that the young hunter had familiarized with for so long, these people seem much more intellectual.  They seemed to take to talking more easily than anyone else, except for his brothers in Crimson Blades and others.

As he journeyed on, he found the Forest of Wavering Mists that would be a later hunting zone for him.  He kept the place in mind in his map before something caught his eye.  Three friendly blips on the map came up not too far inwards.  Looking into the blips, they were Takao, Kalesh, and Xion.  They seemed to be gathered around a small area of the forest, but for what, he didn't know.  Lowering the map, he continued on towards the friendly tags.

At around this time, Hirru would hear the clashing of steel and tumbling of a fight.  Hirru raced on, hoping that his friends were not facing something that would need help with.  Though, they had Takao with them on the third floor, that didn't mean anything if they were outnumbered.  As he crested a few trees, he found his friends all standing around, which confused him even more than anything.  What was causing this fighting?, he thought as he looked past them.  Two warriors were going at it, one in the armor of the Forest Elves, and another in the garb of a Dark Elf.  Looking on, it looked like the Forest Elf had the upper hand.  If this kept going, one of them was going to die.

Hirru wouldn't allow that to happen.

"What are you doing watching someone fight to the death?!"

He said in a low growl as he pulled Time from its hold.  They may have only been NPCs and would respawn after a given time, but that didn't concern Hirru.  He saw people, and people had lives.  Lives that he would protect.

The two were in a deadlock between blades, but the Dark Elf was getting weak from the wear and tear of battle.  The Forest Elf felt this weakness and pushed harder against the blades causing the dark elf to succumb to the brute force and fall.  Looking on, she watched as the forest elf held his sword high and awaited the cold release of death.  Closing her eyes, she listened as the wind of the sword came down up her, but something else caught her hearing.  The sound of flesh being rent from the body, but she could not feel it.  It was not her body that was cut.  She opened her eyes to find the a warrior standing over her, back facing her, but the blade of the forest elf was deep in his shoulder.

    "Wha..

    "What is this?"

"I'm not watching anyone die today."

Hirru ripped the blade from his shoulder and pushed the blade back.  The forest elf jumped back as he tried to figure what was going on, but it would resolve into battle as the NPC cursor turned from yellow to red.

"If you wish to get in my way, to help that harlot, then you shall die here too."

    "Very well!"

The dark elf got up from the ground while readying her blade and shield.  She was much more tired than this warrior, but she would not let the forest elf win.  She would take her own life, before she would let that happen.

  3. Hunting the Frost Giant

A team of adventurers have reported a field boss in the mountains of the fourth floor.  Apparently, the ice elemental enemies that spawn around that area will trigger the appearance of a new threat called <<Avalanche>> which is a larger version of the ice elemental, and much more powerful.  The team was able to get out alive, and was able to gather enough resources to end the field boss.  They were able to get a special item from defeating the creature, a special item that could help out anyone during a fight against a flame beast.  As this would be essential for the fight against anything on the 9th floor, adventurers have been trying to get this monster to spawn for their continued conquest of Aincrad.

On this episode of [Forgotten Dreams], our young green-haired hunter will be taking on this monster, not for the item, but for the glory of facing the beast and living.  Will he win the day, or will his story end here?  Watch and see!

  4. "Let's not count on every hit to cause substantial damage."

Hirru said as his body was frozen for his own actions.  It was something that he was getting used to now.  A pause in action that he could not force himself out of, though he has tried.  The pause would give him some time to think, if it was necessary.  Though, lately the new skills that he has learned, from the current rank in skill, have left him in a longer wait times than usual.  From what Takao was showing him, the wait time doesn't cease after some time.

Taking that into consideration, Hirru decided to take initiative by using a regular attack.  Rushing towards the new moblin, the young hunter drew a short arc that cut horizontally into the gut of the moblin.  It's anger would be apparent as it drew its attention towards the green haired.

  5. Hirru watched as Takao unleashed a wicked <<Horizontal Square>> on the Moblin causing it to be stunned yet again.  Hirru took this opportunity to admire the technique of Takao.  It was just like his own, except much faster, and much deadlier.  If he could harness that kind of power, the young hunter would be able to do quite well in this world.  He may even find those friends that keep eluding him, and protect his friends.  He would not let anyone die.

Hirru's sword began to glow a darker red than it already was.  He rushed in, past Takao, where his sword started to act on its own.  A diagonal slash came through the Moblin's right hip to its shoulder, before a horizontal slash crashed through its mid section.  A final turn of the sword came crashing from the right shoulder to the left hip.  3 Hit Combo <<Sharp Nail>>.  The Moblin looked worse for wear as the renewed Bleed effect started to take its toll on its body.

Switching out, Hirru shouts out to his hunting partner,

"Takao!  Finish it, before the next one spawns in!"

  6. "You'll see when we get there!"

He said as he worked up the will for another rock throw, as he picked up another rock from the ground, turned around while holding the stone in a fashion that would activate the sword skill.  That is, if it would work.  He could hear the humming of a sword skill as the right side of his face began to feel the glow of the stone.  Turning around, Hirru threw the rock with the force of a bullet, causing another innocent boar to be destroyed in a shower of light particles.  This one dropped a material, which he would need.

"Looks like we're tied up, and I have more chances."

  7. Hirru stayed silent throughout the affairs of the group.  This was no longer his concern as he was not going to join the Crimson Blades.  When Mack explained that he would be the Grand Liaison for the Solo Players.  He could only nod to the agreement as he would be able to continue on his own path, without endangering anyone.  Though, this path would be perilous, and he would need his friends from time to time.  This was the best way to keep the relations alive, if only for so long.

"Thank you, Mack..  I'll do what I can."

The young hunter said as he stood up to for a second before moving over to Xion.  He placed his hand on the young guardian's shoulder before speaking,

"Xion, don't worry about me.  I will be fine, and maybe I'll come to join you guys.  You just have to have Patience and Time."

Hirru pat Xion's shoulder before turning to Mack and giving a slight nod before heading towards the entrance.

    *Hirru exits thread*

((This was before the weapons were created so.. yeah.. continuous joke))

  8. Hirru raced through the streets as he figured that this was all was just some joke.  Everything was alright and he was going to meet his friends at the Black Palace for some get together to discuss something new.  Maybe they were just messing with him, and all of this was just to get him to join the guild.  That must be it, he thought as he ran into people trying to get to the middle of the Town of Beginnings.  As he thought on about this, he could feel the armor trying to tell him something.  That this was exactly what he read.

    "No!  I don't believe it!"

The young hunter ran through the crowds as he found his way to the Black Palace.  He barreled through the doors which were already open, and ran straight to the Monument of Life, a large marble stone wall that held the names of everyone in the game.  Those that have died had their names scratched out with a single line.  As he looked on, Hirru's worst fears came true.

There on the wall was the name of the old man that he had promised to go hunting together.  To learn the ways of the future from.

    Lindow

Hirru fell to his knees as tears began falling from his eyes and shattering on the ground.  He had lost one..

    "How.... who...?"

He would ask no one in particular as he would not have noticed his friends there.  He only saw that one name before everything would fade to black.  His voice the only thing to come out.

    "They will.. pay..."

  9. Hirru watched as Lindow destroyed the last of the Crystal Fiends, causing another light shower of tiny crystals to splash out into multiple directions.  It was a fruitful effort as the monster gave up some treasure for Lindow.  Hirru pat the grizzled one on the back as he walked onward for a second, but something happened at that moment.  A sudden feeling of dizziness fell upon him like a brick to the head.  The sleep deprivation was probably taking its toll after using his energy to take these two crystal fiends out.  Hirru yawned deeply before turning around.

"You know.. I think I'm going to take you up on that offer to bail early.  I'm getting way too tired to carry on like this."

Hirru said as he chose to dissolve the party.  It was a hasty effort, but he wanted to get out of there quickly, before anything happened to cause a death with either of them.

"Maybe later, we can actually get further into this cavern."

He waved on as he exited the cavern and the floor.

  10. Hirru was quite confused at the current events of this shop.  Before he could even finish his order, someone else came in and the hunter had to have his order postponed.  Not too long after that, a young woman comes in and tries to con the owner out of some clothing.  After not getting everything that she wanted, the woman goes on about economic values, or something along that line.  Having been frozen to one spot while all of this was happening, Hirru could only have one thought.

    "Oh, the sorrow.."

Finally, he made his presence known as he reopened the trade window for Blue.  He would then deposit 7 materials for him, and click select.

"There ya go!  Can I have my gear now?"

The items were transferred, and Hirru nodded his approval as he checked the specifics before donning the armor in place of his Wolf Pelt Vest.  He could feel the power within the armor.  Though, Hirru could feel something else within.  A sadness that would creep into him.  Like there was something that was wrong in the world.  He would get that confirmed with a message.

    "I'll.. see you later.. Blue."

  11. The door openned to the sound of,

    "Blue! I have arrived!"

The green haired frontiersman called out to the ahop as the dark underbelly of the night was about to drown them in darkness.  The shop looked more full than the last time he had been there.  It must have been the time adventuring or the time away from the towns, but plenty has changed.  Hirru had to step up his game and this armor would give him the edge to do just that.  The ability to regain health faster than the battle healing skill would be an essential asset forhis future ventures.

Reaching the desk, he hoped that Blue wouldn't mind the sudden drop in.

"Blue!  I'm here for my gear!  Sorrow waits for no one!"

  12. As Lindow was easily dodged by the Crystal Fiend as it took a small bit from his health.  After seeing this, Hirru burst in from the side to attack the fiendish creature with sword a glow.  A long slash to the right side collided with the fiend and was lodged inside.  Then, Hirru turned the blade a full ninety degrees before stabbing it further into the gut of the crystal golem type monster.  Afterwards, he would turn around and slice upward, out of the creature causing the skill to end.  3 Hit combo <<Savage Fulcrum>>

The creature would be at its last bit of life as Hirru called out,

    "Finish it!"

  13. As Takao started them off, Hirru rounded around the Moblin.  He had never seen any of these monsters before.  This creature had red skin with a rather large muscular build that would have given others more problems than anything.  Were they on floors even higher than this, or was he not thorough in his search?  That was not point now, they had a goal to get to, and this thing was in their way.  The beast would start out with a diagonal slash that was quickly parried by Takao's own blade.  This was Hirru's chance to switch in and attack.

His sword surges forward, as if the blood of its enemy was calling to it, as it began to glow a slight violet before cutting into its middle right into the moblins lower left.  After that, the wrist would twist around to allow a second strike going through the exit wound of the lower left to the top right.  <<Vertical Arc>>

It was at that moment that the Moblin took notice of Hirru.

    "I see what you mean!"

  14. Hirru turned to find someone behind him, the brunet hair and freckles were unmistakable, and his customary equipment that screamed out, Expert Hunter of Monsters was all that Hirru needed to know who this man was.  This was the one that he had heard all about and invited to train with him, the Monster Hunter, Takao.  The young hunter waved back to the man before him with a gentle smile.  Takao seemed quite friendly for someone so talked about.  He was quite the sight in his armor that probably gave him proper protection instead of Hirru's shoddy armor.  Hirru couldn't wait for his full armor to be made by Blue, but for now, he would have to wait on that.  These two had some monsters to slay.

"Hello there!  Nice to meet you face to face."

He greeted Takao in kind before the arena selection menu prompted a response from him again.  This time, he twiddled through the selection until he came to 'Mass Mob 1'.  'That one looked promising.' he thought as he selected it, and pressed yes to the ongoing prompts that would follow suit.  Arena usage agreements, equipment restriction agreements, prepare to die agreements, no one really reads these anymore.  After that was all said and done, a little timer appeared above their heads, as it counted down from 10.  Hirru quickly sent Takao a party invite.

    "I'm ready!"

He would say as he unsheathed the blood-red bladed long-sword, Patience, from its scabbard.  This would be the first time that he would be using these swords that Xion had crafted for him.

  15. "I've been well enough.  I've started going after the field bosses on the first five floors."

Watching as his friend went into the other room, he thought about the things that transpired lately.  He would need to test out Patience and Time, but on what?  There would be plenty of opportunities for that later, now there was just talk.

"I'll be heading out to the second floor dungeon soon, if you want to gather the guys up."

As Xion came back with both Patience and Time, Hirru could see how well his friend put his own patience and time into them.  Opening his menu, he deselected Anneal Blade, his trusted blade for so long, before taking Time.  Hirru admired the blades finish before he performed a quick <<Vertical Square>> as to not harm anything in his shop, not that it would do anything in a town, anyway.  Satisfied, he put that one away in a quick-slot, and picked up Patience.  The crimson blade would be one of envy within the Crimson Blades, indeed.  This time, there would be no sword skill, and was immediately sheathed by his side.

"Fine work, Xion!  I'll be heading out, see ya!"

He said as the blacksmith went back to his work, and the hunter left.

    IN THE ARENA!!

    ********************************************************************************************************************************************

Hirru found himself on the seventh floor, hearing that something akin to an arena was here.  Apparently, players were able to challenge any number of monsters while being able to have the ease of being within town.  Also there were prizes, but that wasn't on his mind.  He wanted to get into this, and when he arrived, he was buffeted with a number of menus and window screens.  It was quite unsettling to be surrounded by all these choices.  Were they options for the arena?

Pushing them aside, he was here for one reason, and one reason only.  To learn from a fellow Monster Hunter, and there were none better titled than Takao.  One among the mid-tier players that time and time again would destroy any field boss that he had fought before.  That was someone that Hirru could take some pointers on, and hoped to befriend him.  He had messaged him some time ago before warping to the 7th floor.

It was weird, cause this was the first time he was on a higher floor than the 5th.

Hirru took off his Kun Fur Hat to scratch his green hair, before putting it back on and straightening this Wolf Pelt Vest.  His Patience sat in its sheath at his side.  A fantasy version of Davy Crockett, if you ever saw one.

  17. The door opens to the sound of:

"Give me all of your health items!"

The young hunter entered the shop before realizing that this was not the right place.  For one, the lack of a player with white hair came to mind, and the fact that everything had flowers and pink.  Slowly backing up, he closed the door to find the cart with the white haired one there.  Just as he did with the floral shop, he quickly slammed his palms on the cart staring at the young one called Abalasster.  Noticing some field rations for sale, he quickly pointed at them before pulling open his window.

"GIVE ME ALL OF YOUR HEALTH ITEMS!"

Pulling out a bag of 1000 Col, Hirru dropped it into the young man's hands before grabbing the the field rations and leaving, just as quickly as he came.

    Abalasster - Gained 1000 Col + 2 EXP

    Hirru - Gained Field Rations x 2

((You should really put a spoiler with everything in the NPC section so that people know what to buy from you instead of what you have listed.  That way you can get more business, though, this will be a regular occurrence with Hirru, so don't worry about it.))

  18. The door opened to the sound of..

"Xion!  Patience called!  It said it wanted its Time back!

Looking into the smithy, Hirru noticed the two handed swordsman, Kalesh, leaving and nodded a greeting before coming up to the counter.  The smithy was still the same as last time, though a little hotter than he remembered.  Must have been the escapades on the fourth floor getting to him, cause that place was COOOLD!!  Hirru rested his arm on the counter as he leaned in with his silly grin, towards Xion.  That instantly turned to a solemn smile as he greeted his good friend.

"How are you, Xion?  I haven't seen you since the meeting.."

  19. Lindow was successful in taking out the first fiend causing the crystal golem to fall into smaller crystals before shattering into many light crystals.  Too many crystals.. Hirru thought as both of their focus came towards the second Crystal Fiend.  Having lost the other fiend, this one would have found itself outnumbered as it decided to attack in an enraged wide arc.  Hirru would have been able to get out of the way in time, but that distracted him from his thoughts, making any attempt to attack wasted.

"Be careful!  It's not having any of this!"

  20. "Doesn't sound good!  I'll pick up the pace!"

Hirru said as he dodged an oncoming attack from the right from his Crystal Fiend.  Having found a way around it, Hirru spun around to start a series of normal slashes crossing through fiend's leg and up.  Each slash wasn't supported by the grand light that would accompany a sword skill, but they were definitely doing their part before Hirru dropped the attack to fall back towards the grizzled great swordsman.  If Lindow couldn't get that one soon, Hirru would have to take care of both of them, and he would have none of that.

"Are you sure you have that?"

There was one more move that he had not used yet, but hoped he didn't have to use it.  It only worked if there were multiple enemies trained on him.  Trusting that Lindow could take that one out, Hirru kept his attention on his fiend who was quite weak now.

After a brief switching of paces, Hirru and Lindow were now back to back facing the two fiends.  Taking on one seemed easier at first, but now the two were having their way, and it wasn't good for them.  They would need to take these two out quickly, or else things were going to get hairy.  Moving onwards towards the second Crystal Fiend, Hirru let his sword choose the action.

It chose wisely, as the sword cut vertically through the Crystal Fiend with blade aglow.  Another slash came from left to right after that, and another vertical before the final right to left slash erupted into the golem type mob.  4 Hit Combo <<Vertical Square>> was completed when the four slashed materialized and shot off into the ground and sky.  Though, now the cooldown gave rise to Hirru getting stabbed again by the spear, but this time his battle healing kicked in to add a buffer to the health loss.

  22. ((Just realized that I made these too weak for Hirru HP wise, so Lindow is going to have to deliver the finishing blow.))

Having taken out most of the Crystal Fiend's health, Hirru was hoping for another good follow through, but the other fiend had finally taken notice and was attacking Lindow.  Hirru wouldn't have any kind of ganking in this party, especially when the enemy was doing the ganking.  Hirru had to take care of this one while having to deal with the other.  His body turned towards the one that they were attacking, but before preparing his sword...

He instead kicked to Crystal fiend for a small amount of damage.  That little stunt brought about an attack from both fiends which pierced through him, causing a fair amount of damage.  If he didn't have the MIT to cover it, Hirru would have been hurting badly.  Thankfully, he had the HP for it.

"Take it out!  I'll deal with the other one!"

  23. It would have never occurred to the young hunter that this was a call to arms, for the creation of a guild.  Hirru didn't know what to think about it.  He never really considered what that would entitle.  He had been mostly mixed between going alone and going with a small group, but a large group?  It was something he never thought about.  Though, it was something that he wanted.  All of his friends, under one roof as they keep the peace, and fight to save the people of this world.  A group of his friends, all under one roof as they protect the innocent and all that is good.  What else could he ask for?!

Listening to everyone talk about the guild, something felt odd.  Like this was sort of familiar, but he didn't know where from.  It was something that hurt though, more than anything that he has ever experienced before.  His head felt that it was going to explode, but as soon as it appeared, the pain vanished just as quickly.  His pain would probably be shown through his features right now.  Straightening himself out, the young hunter seemed that he had just went through an entire boss battle by himself.

Everyone was talking about positions, and who could do what.

    No one had to..

Hirru could feel his memories pooling back into existence within him.  Something wanted to get out, and it was scarier than anything that he has ever faced before.  It was a familiar feeling.. One that nearly hurt someone else.

'No..I won't let him back out!'

    ********************

To everyone in the room, Hirru would be quite silent for a long time.  His face vacant, eyes soulless.  Xion would recognize that sign, while anyone with real life combat training or hospice knowledge would recognize a form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  It wasn't until Grave ended his speech when Hirru would snap out of it.  His face filling with color, or, as much as the system would allow.  His eyes were brighter than before, but a look of sadness kept its hold.  Getting up, he looked to the group.

"I am Hirru... A one handed straight swordsman of the DPS build.  I know most of everyone here, except for maybe two or three, and even then I have only seen your combat skills.  I can't say anything about positions, or why anyone should be in one.  I don't even think I even belong here.  Everyone having their own life outside to protect."

Hirru could feel his throat harden as he kept talking, and the feeling of wanting to cry, but his features wouldn't allow it.  Something that those memories brought back.  Stalwart and hardened, though soft inside.

"I'll help you guys, but I won't be joining.  I have my own issues to deal with, and need time to myself to figure them out."

Sitting down felt harder to do as he fought the urge to walk out.

((If you're wondering WTF is going on?  Everything above the asterisks is in Hirru's head.  Read the journal to know more.))
