  1. Well, I don't remember how many skill points I had before my hiatus... And I can NOT be bothered going back through every topic I was in to figure it out, so I'm starting from scratch with Carambit :D Can't wait to RP with some of you!

Thanks a lot, but I did do it last week, so I'm all up on the count.

  2. Ladies and Gentlemen... Carambit is thinking of returning to the forum. Are things still pretty active around here? I've missed RPing and I'd love to get back into it.

  3. How to wake up with Carambit.

    1) Hear alarm go off in the morning, and hear it distantly behind you, indicating you are on the far side of your bed.
    2) Roll over at full speed to get to the other side of the bed faster.
    3) Discover you were incorrect in assuming step 1.
    4) Smash face on bedside drawers and crash into floor, sustaining gnarly carpet burn.
    5) Shamefully pick self up off of floor and carry on.

Turns out I had turned that one alarm I had selected down in volume. And therefore when I woke up it sounded further away, but was just quieter.

Sometimes I wake up on the floor, never knew when or how I ended there, but it was one hack of a comfy floor. And I was late for work.

    3. Carambit

      Carambit

      Haha nice one Macradon xD

Yeah thankfully if something like that happens to me I wake up really quick. Unless I fell asleep on the floor. In which case I probably had a bit to drink.

The thing is ... I started in the bed but never woke up from the fall. It had happened quite a few times, even when I was little and had nightmares, I ran into my parent's room to sleep on the side. My mom woke up suddenly at night because of a big and loud "THOMP" and it was me who fell from the bed. She wouldn't pick me up because she was afraid of me waking up. I was still sleeping.

  4. Purchased a $400 piece of equipment (with shipping and handling from the other side of the world) and when it arrived... The charger port on it is busted, and as a result isn't functional. Now they want me to ship it back to them, at my expense, so they can work out what's wrong with it and let me know what to do from there.

Like really, it isn't my fault I got sent broken stuff... So why do I have to pay to ship it back to them to fix the issue... That kinda sucks... Shipping from me to them is going to cost me another 70 dollars at least. I have such bad luck buying stuff online.

    1. Nirvana

      Nirvana

That suuuucks. I always have good luck, even when I buy things last minute they arrive and are of excellent quality. But, if you really want that item, then you'll contribute the money needed.

...Next time find a cheaper alternative xD I'm always bargaining and in the depths of multiple sites so I get the best deal.

    2. Carambit

      Carambit

Yeah I'm throwing the money at them to ship it back to them, because I really do want it... But damn son.

Yeah this one could only be bought from the company that actually makes them. Its a pair of sunglasses wiht a 1080p camera in the center so I can use them for insurance and vlogging. Gonna start my youtube back up and vlog with it, recording my everyday life stuff and recording dumb drivers.

  5. Well, the end of a long journey. Yesterday my partner and I decided after being together for nearly 3 years, that it wasn't working anymore and it was time to split. We're handling it like adults and it was a mutual break up, so we're still talking we just aren't dating anymore.

I'm not sure if anyone has any experience with breakups on here or not, but if they do, any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated, as it was my first real relationship, and its a pretty rough thing to go through.

    Thanks for reading this guys.

Thank you all so much :) It's good to know I have people I can talk to, and this community never ceases to amaze me. I'm slowly getting better and today I feel way better about it all. Who knows for tomorrow, but I'm gonna make the most of all of this however I can.

  6. Bad news guys, it is with a heavy heart that I have decided I don't have enough time on my hands any longer to continue being active in this forum.

University life is much more busy than I had anticipated, and although I am working to keep on top of my assignments and studies and get them done early, more work continues to arise from the abyss. I am sorry to those who I am in a current RP with, but I just can't keep up anymore :(

I want to let everyone know that although my time here has been short, I have enjoyed every moment of it and had heaps of fun interacting with the community here. You're all so friendly and so very welcoming.

If there ever comes a time where I am able to continue here on the forum, trust that I will be back. But for now, I must bid you adieu

  8. Well that's not what you want... My foot felt sticky so I looked down at it to see I'd cut the top of it open and it was bleeding everywhere. All cleaned up and bandaged. I haven't got a clue how I did it though. It didn't even hurt until I noticed it properly. What's more worrying is the drips of blood on the new carpet. What a bugger.

I guess these sorts of things don't tend to have as much of an impact if you aren't paying attention to them. The human body sure is a weird thing...

  9. Carambit fell pale. He felt the blood drain from his face. "Well... Okay... I doubt I'll be much good against you though. You're way tougher than I am..." He leant against a tree beside him, waiting for his hit points to recover also. "Gonna need to wait a while before we start though. I'm kinda beat." he admitted. He had never really fought monsters as strong as that mantis before, and it had left something to be desired of his hit points. "So, you done this before with other recruits or am I the first one?" Carambit grew curious. There was nothing else to do while he waited to recharge, so w

Carambit said, not wanting to look weak in front of his instructor. The mantis came stampeding in once again, it's remaining scythe in the air. "Just need to wait for the right... Moment!" he grunted as he slashed across the mantis' chest. It's torso split in two, the entirety of it's being washing over with the color blue and exploding into shards of light. "Gotcha!" He said, sheathing his sword. "Alright," he started, brushing off his hands and turning bac

  12. Sorry about the absence guys. Anyone who's in an RP with me I do sincerely apologize for taking so long, and I promise I'll be back to posting soon, I've just had a heap of stuff to deal with as of late regarding my personal life. As much as I'd love to just RP through this, I don't feel like I'm in the right mindset to put out any sort of decent content, which isn't really fair to you guys or myself. The problems seem to be sorted out for now, I might just need another couple of days to sort my head space out. Promise I'll be back soon! For those who are in an open party RP with me, just keep skipping me until I say I'm back. Sorry again for the inconvenience. Some stuff just came out of nowhere, and life hits like a freight train.

I always find myself questioning whether that statistic includes the myriad tiny, controlled burns that we use to limit the numbers of huge, uncontrollable nightmares.  We finally figured that one out, after all, didn't we?  Torching the forest a little bit at a time does near-miraculous good for slowing down the pace of fuel buildup.

  15. [ID# 29803] [BD= 6 (+1 ACC) =7] (Hit) [MD=10] (Hit +2) Carambit: 9/21 Killer Mantis: 3/17 Carambit was almost as blown away as the two halves of the mantis were. "Nice!" he called out to Grave. Focusing his attention on this however left him wide open for an attack. The mantis he was fighting proved to be surprisingly resilient, and very persistent, considering it had already lost an arm. The giant bug charged at Carambit and burrowed it's other scythe into his shoulder. He let out a grunt of pain, before swinging his sword and chopping the monster across it's mid section. It pulled it's claw
  16. [ID# 29688] [BD=2 (+1 ACC) =3] (Nah, son.) [MD=9] ($Hit +1) Carambit: 13/21 Killer Mantis: 6/17 "Bugging me, aww hell..." Carambit couldn't help but keel over forward from the sheer pain of Grave's retaliatory pun. "Oh god, why..." he murmured. Unfortunately his sense of humor got the better of him. He was distracted by the jokes long enough for the mantis to creep up closer on him and take a swing with it's remaining scythe. Carambit took a strike down the left side of his torso. "Hey! No fair I wasn't looking!" he slashed horizontally at the mantis to exact some revenge, but unfortunately th
  17. [ID# 29650] [BD=10] (YEAH BOI! Hit +2!) [MD=2] (Get owned, son!) Carambit: 16/21 Killer Mantis: 6/17 (1 Dmg + 1 Enhancement Dmg + 1 Weapon Skill dmg +2 Crit) Carambit witnessed the hurt that Grave had put on his foe, bringing it down to a minuscule amount of hit points and paralyzing it. "Damn, I've gotta put everything into my next couple of attacks if I want to keep up!" He said as he slashed across toward the mantis. It reared back and attempted to bring it's scythes down on him once again, but this time he was watching it, predicting it's moves. As it swung down, he swung upward, slicing o
  18. ((Bahahaha!! XD)) [ID# 29507] [BD=6 (+1 ACC) =7] (Hit) [MD=7 (-1 EVA) =6] (Hit) Carambit: 16/21 (2 Dmg) Killer Mantis: 11/17 (3 Dmg) The mantis swung it's left scythe around toward Carambit. He impressed even himself by leaning back and dodging the blade smoothly. He charged up his sword skill attack and side stepped another swing by the mantis, which had now turned to face him, giving him all of it's attention. The two combatants swung at each other at the same time, cleaving a big gash out of each other's torsos. "Alright then, it's a race! Let's see who can be the best can of mortein out of

How dare you make me hear a pun with my own ears!" he feigned anger but couldn't help but chuckle. Carambit readied his sword and ran in from an attack. It was safe to say the bug was not expecting him to come at it, not even paying any attention to him until after he was already in the air. Carambit leapt over the hind side of the bug and slashed across it's back with his sword. It writhed in pain and began to move swiftly away fro
  20. Carambit 16/21 (Nat. Healing) The brunet couldn't help but toss his head back and giggle snort. This guy just had the best sense of humor. Carambit couldn't have been paired with anyone better. However, he felt like he wasn't doing much good standing around. He watched as his idle hitpoint regeneration slowly bumped up his health bar, piece by piece. "Hmm... Maybe not just yet. I'll wait until my next opportune moment to jump back in and help out." he informed his team mate. He watched as the gigantic bugs encroached further onto Grave's territory and made themselves look more and more threate
  21. (How much HP do I regenerate per turn? I'll take a couple to build it back up.) Carambit had never seen another player fight like this before, so he took the chance to observe and learn from his mentor, after all that's what they were for right? The other player drove a fist into the Killer Mantis' face with an almighty uppercut, sending it reeling back like it had been struck by a train. "Bloody hell so this is what it's like when someone actually knows what they're doing..." he couldn't help but say. Carambit wanted to start applauding, but instead decided to wait and see how the rest of the

He had to take on three enemies by the time this was over or he wasn't going to get into the guild. He wanted so badly to be a part of a larger community of tighter knit players and so he would try at this with all of his might. The werewolf began to swing at him again, and Carambit did nothing to attempt to dodge out of the way as he charged a sword skill attack up. His blade glowed blue as the beast struck him with its claws, first with it's right, t

[ID# 29473] ((Had a bit of a problem with my internet connection, my brother reset the router when I was trying to roll and I've come back to see like 4 rolls there, so I'll just use the first one...)) [BD=2] (Damn son. We'll be here for days.) [MD=1] (Epic fail.) Carambit: 16/21 Beowolf: 2/11 The pair continued to swing and slash and charge at one another. It felt like an eternity before anything useful happened, finally the beowolf made a grievous error in judgement. It tried for an uppercut with a handful of claw to try and knock Carambit over, but with it's crouched positioning and it's l
  24. [ID# 29442] [BD=2 (+1 ACC) =3] (Miss) [MD=4 (-1 EVA) =3] (Miss) Carambit: 16/21 Beowolf: 2/11 He tried to give the werewolf a taste of it's own medicine, charging at it and slinging a flurry of wild slashes and chops at many different angles. "Take! A! Hit!" he growled as he struggled to land anything on the beast. It seemed to dodge just as well as he did, stepping side to side and ducking it's head under the blade that Carambit wielded. "Stop copying me!" he yelled while pulling a sour face. The monsters in this game were much cheekier than Carambit had first thought; if they continued to do
  25. [ID# 29293] [BD=2 (+1 ACC) =3] (Ah well, it was bound to happen eventually) [MD=9] (Hit +1) Carambit: 16/21 Beowolf: 2/11 And try harder it did. The beast charged for him, getting down on all fours and breaking out into a sprint. Carambit raised his weapon but he wasn't quick enough to match the beast's speed. It dragged it's claws down his arm and he took some damage. He parried another swing from the beast and began to dodge it's furious flurry of attacks. It tried swiping at him, biting him, grappling him, but he was lucky enough to evade all of these attacks and only be hit by the first. A
