Star had rushed in to not only halt the Boss’ advance, but also stagger him with a solid, stunning blow. Teion let out a steadying breath just as he’d come to make sure she was alright, and she gave a single nod while propping herself up on one arm and reaching for her weapon with the other. Before she could voice a ‘thanks’ and get back to her feet, something cut between them. Star had vanished, and a glint of metal shone in Teion’s eyes as a blur of Acanthus’ form shot by them. Had he been in her way? She watched, transfixed, while the woman went on to slaughter another handful of nearby ban

This wasn't so bad. With the rate at which the three of them were felling bandits, Teion never felt outnumbered for long. She only hoped she could keep up with the other two. It wouldn't look great if she'd burned herself out before the boss showed up. They each had split off, taking their own clusters of enemies as soon as they'd spawned. Teion strayed from her new party members just as much as was necessary to find new opponents, but a quick glance over her shoulder left her feeling uncomfortably isolated. She planted a boot on the shoulder of a freshly-slain bandit, not waiting for his body

The rules seems to all be set up for item fusions to be done with 2 IDs at a time, but I'm seeing where someone has thrown multiple items in at once to fuse for the same end result. So, that's what I'm trying to do here. Please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong, I've just been trying to re-learn crafting through trial and error. Item Fusion: (2) Rare T4 Weapons [ID#240601 & ID#24602] plus (1) Perfect T4 Weapon [ID#240600] plus (1) Demonic Shard to create the following: Shop Post: [Here] Transaction Date: 02/08/2025 Cost of Transaction: 7 Mats, 1 Demonic Shard

Another quick attempt. Teion had barely put any of her tools and equipment away from the previous night. She'd really have to spend some time tidying the place up if she wanted to reopen her doors in earnest. Shaking off the fleeting thought, she had just gotten set up and starting going through the motions of smelting, forging, and finalizing a couple of blades when a thought occurred to her. "Wonder if I've made enough by now to just start fusing them together and get what I need that way..." She thought to herself. Sure enough, when she gathered up and took stock of all of the mediocre rapi

"Yes?" She was surprised to have a visitor, and only slightly more surprised that it was the blonde girl from that old guild Ryo was once a part of. Teion heard out the woman's request, mulling it over as she spoke. She'd been thinking about opening her shop's doors again, but hadn't made any of the preparations yet. Once short glance over her shoulder would remind her what an unkempt mess the place had become the past few months. But then Telrenya held something out to her that caught her eye. An obsidian gemstone, or something like it, that seemed to eat up the sunshine beating down on

Teion replied to Theo's topic in Beginner Floors
Having her own cheerleader for thrashing the most basic mobs out there felt like a bit much, but the smirk that tugged on her lips proved that her ego didn't mind. Theo's enthusiasm in all things was endearing, and it was beyond refreshing to see someone having genuine fun just killing monsters. This was supposed to be a game, after all. She wondered what playing SAO with Theo would be like under normal circumstances, if they were just back to being buddies and bonding over an MMO. She wondered if maybe they could still do that, despite not having a 'real life' to go back to for now. She -
The other two broke off, darting into the fray quickly and efficiently. They were fast. Stealthy. Whether one slunk through the cover of the shadows and campfire smoke, or the other taunted them with words, they each took advantage of every moment of weakness and every second of distraction to cut down their enemies. Teion breached the camp's opening behind them, walking with steady strides and wielding an axe that seemed nearly as big as she was. Speed wasn't exactly her strongest suit. She stopped, eyes washing over the battlefield. Star and Acanthus wasted no time in cutting down mob a

Teion replied to Theo's topic in Beginner Floors
Teion had first waved things off, figuring a simple mention of "another time" wouldn't harm anything, but then Theo's face changed. He turned away, and Teion stiffened up with the weight of social pressure. He wasn't...really upset over anything, was he? Her bottom lip stiffened and she couldn't figure out any words to say. She had just opened her mouth, willing up some kind of reassurance, but just then their demeanor spun on its heel and Theo was grinning ear to ear. "I--" Teion stayed put, this time shocked by his audacity. She was flustered. How dare they. Theo turned to leave the smithy f -

Ryo's invitation out for a drink was unexpected, but not unwelcome. In fact, she smiled at the thought. "That sounds nice." She accepted, but then Theo's tone perked up again. He must have caught Ryo's words, and Teion hoped that she wasn't the one misunderstanding things. After a quick glance towards Ryo to gauge her suspicions, she took on the burden of kindly redirecting. "Theo, mind if we go for tea tomorrow? I owe Ryo a rain check, so I think we're going to grab dinner together tonight." The words came out more effortlessly than she could have expected, but inside of her chest those butte -

Teion replied to Theo's topic in Beginner Floors
"Oh. Yeah, alright." Both fiddling with her quest menu and the confirmation of the others that they were, indeed, finished with this specific task had her shrug her shoulders in easy acceptance. She'd only grabbed one material this whole time. 'Hope that's enough.' But if the quest said they were done, then they were done. "Hmm?" She walked over to Ryo and leaned over his shoulder to look at the «Skills» layout he was asking about. "Oh! That's the weird thing." She actually perked up at this with a mixture of enthusiasm, skepticism, and confusion. "I guess someone or something has patched or h -
It was a pleasant surprise that two strangers in the middle of the volcano town were willing to help her out like this. 'Well, a skill's a skill.' She reasoned. "Thanks." A small smile appeared as she nodded towards Star after his offer and introduction. It had been a while since Teion had partied up for a quest, but she wasn't in the habit of soloing, either. In fact, she hadn't taken on a boss--quest or floor in some time, so she began to feel like she'd be shaking the rust off once they got to drawing their weapons. Teion blinked in surprise, following Star's finger and turning to wher

"Hmm..." Teion let out a low hum, looking to the ground. "I didn't know if I'd like it in VR," She started, pulling up her own menus, "but I guess it grew on me. I like playing brawler, bruiser builds in games, so..." She trailed off, guessing at which term might be the most correct to describe what she was thinking of. Teion tapped on an item in her inventory and chose the option to 'Equip' her two-handed battle axe, Requiem. Cardinal's blue glow created the weapon's silhouette on her back and then it snapped into existence. The massive blade was easily visible over her shoulder, measuring at -

"Oh." She was surprised to hear that he was in a guild. Or, maybe she shouldn't be. Theo was a people person, after all. He could make friends with almost anyone, on accident. Maybe she was more surprised at the past tense. Ryo distracted her then, and she cocked a brow and turned to him with surprise and a verbal prod. "Ryu? And here I thought the both of you just didn't like coming up with character names." She smirked a bit again. She smiled as Ryo couldn't help but taunt Theo with the fact that he owned a whole mansion, and she rolled her eyes before going back to scanning the grassy -

Teion's cheeks were dusted with a hint of pink when Ryo so quickly asked about her school days. "Still do." She quietly tacked on about where she lived. "I have a blacksmith shop on Floor 5." It was impossible for her to speak about her craft without a touch of pride showing through. And then Theo mentioned the moniker of her username and her lips pressed into a wide, knowing smirk. Indeed, she had played 'Teion' before, in the first MMO she'd ever played back in high school. Long purple hair, wielding a huge, heavy axe... The first time she had logged into SAO, she'd built her character with -
The immediate, comprehensive paragraph of information that was delivered back to her had Teion's eyes reflexively flicker up towards the stranger's cursor to make sure she hadn't gotten mixed up and just gotten an NPC interaction. Then the woman's tone began to shift and she seemed to shrink down in her seat with some verbal backtracking. Teion's brows raised slightly. Despite her uncertainty at the end, she sounded more well-informed than some of those brokers she'd heard about. And much more free with that information, too. "Oh." Teion had to think for a second about the quest she had mentio

One might assume that the misery of the searing heat permeating the air of a never-ending volcanic landscape wouldn't be too far off from the beating of sun rays cast down over the rolling dunes of desert sand. Teion disagreed. The moment she stepped out of the teleport gate to Yōgan Village, her mental real estate was flooded with how uncomfortable each breath felt in her lungs and she grimaced. "I gotta get out more." She muttered, stepping down from the marble platform to properly walk along the village streets. She was here on a mission, and although she didn't know exactly where that miss

Teion replied to Theo's topic in Beginner Floors
PART I | THE FIRST LESSON Her lips pursed to the side while Theo expressed his uncertainty. She hadn't expected him to be terribly interested in the type of combat this game had to offer, so it made sense that he was leaning towards the other systems. A gatherer, crafter, or maybe even a scouting type of build easily felt like it suited them better than swordplay. She just nodded, but followed up with a bit of advice that carried a solemn tone. "You should learn how to fight. Just the basics, at least." Sure, it was possible to never step foot outside of a safe zone. Actually... 'Has he -

Theo's bubbly attitude seeped into the air, and the way he beamed at her practically stole the wind out of Teion's lungs. She simply looked back at him with brows turned up, a smile tugging relentlessly at the corner of her mouth. She wanted to feel terrible. The weight of dismay at their shared circumstances--their shared prison--was heavy just a moment ago, but... That grin of his brushed that burden away with ease. For now, at least. It was as if they had caught each other in the hallway between classes and just hadn't seen each other in a while. There would be time to worry over life and e -

She had hardly taken a handful of steps when the sound of her real name shouted from across the way caused her to tense up with a strange alertness. 'That voice...' Her head turned quickly in Theo's direction, and she, too, barely believed her eyes as they crossed the courtyard with an abundant air of pure, unbridled excitement. "Huh?" Their eyes met, but even so she seemed much more reluctant--or maybe just incapable--of believing them just yet. And then came the barrage. A series of statements riddled with questions spilling out of that happy-go-lucky face of his. She blinked in continu -

A little silver bell mounted above the door of a quiet cafe let out a distinct ring as the door swung open. Teion was exiting the shop with a half-eaten pastry in her hand and a bored expression on her face. She tried not to make it a habit of coming to the first floor. There were plenty of settlements higher up that had better town layouts, more interesting NPCs, something worth doing...but damn if the Town of Beginnings didn't have basic materials at the most baseline, dirt-cheap prices. As a seasoned blacksmith, Teion was generally self-sufficient. She could craft most of her own gear, fix -

I'm coming back to the site from 2.6 and I just finished remapping my skills to the current system. I had a lot of unspent SP from Rank 5 skills being made cheaper, and the only thing I struggled with was the Familiar Mastery skill. Familiars appear to have changed significantly, and honestly, I'd like to just drop my familiar completely and redo the new quests sometime in the future when/if I feel like picking up one with their new ski

[PP-F6] <<Feeding the Enemy>> Coming to Terms (Teion)
Teion replied to Ryo's topic in Beginner Floors
Teion was truly walking in on some kind of scene from a day-time sitcom. She stared for a moment, the door between the entryway and the kitchen swinging back and forth behind her as it closed to a close, and didn't know whether she should laugh or shake her head in sympathy. She did both, but her chuckles subsided as she nervously watched Yuki crawling across Ryo's and Pennyworth's bodies, stopping once or twice to flex her legs and spin some more webbing around some kitchen tool or another and affix it to the trapped pair. She'd never seen a spider with 'personality' before. Yuki was reb -
[PP-F6] <<Feeding the Enemy>> Coming to Terms (Teion)
Teion replied to Ryo's topic in Beginner Floors
Teion smiled at his agreement, nodding and leaving it at that. When they entered his mansion and they were greeted by the same doting butler as always, Teion gave another tiny, awkward smile as though she was presenting herself to her new boyfriend's family. In a sense, she was. Pennyworth excused himself to prepare them a meal, and it wasn't long until Ryo followed after with concern that his new pet was terrorizing the poor man. Meanwhile, Teion found herself a seat in the den and, left alone to her thoughts, she let out a huge sigh and sank into a plush loveseat. For a minute, everythi
