  1. Macradon was about to open up shop and get the furnaces blazing for his apprentice to work and gain greater experience, the knight had spent a lot of resources trying to get Alec up to speed with hos a grandmaster blacksmith was working, and having someone else be able to craft certified equipment while the owner was out was a lucrative deal for his apprentice. Macradon got into his dirty old workshop clothes and began cleaning up the front of his shoppe while the furnaces were heating up and as he would walk around the streets in front of his shop to clear it of any litter, Macradon overheard a few players that had strafed by

“I hear that’s the shop Macradon owns.”
“No fucking way dude, it’s Alec’s shop.”
“No, I swear! I hear so many people say it’s Macradon’s shop.”
“Macradon doesn’t even exist, he’s a myth, stop trying to persuade people into believing your conspiracy.”

Macradon could only listen in silence and awe of what people had begun to think about him. It wasn’t the first time people didn’t believe that he indeed was Macradon, for some reason his outward appearance has been too much for some to believe that he even exists … and it confused him to an even greater extent when he had been stationed on the first floor in the town of beginnings for a long time handing out equipment to players, be it beginners and veterans.

Macradon would shrug it off, might just be a very elaborate psychological prank someone had orchestrated. Nonetheless, Macradon would clean up the streets and at the gates of his estate before a message would appear on his HUD “Who could that be?” he thought to himself and opened it up only to be disappointed by the sender. His first instinct was to close down the message in a hurry, but it didn’t solve anything. Everyone he had a beef with he never got to quench the flames of, they all died before he could reconcile, so why not for the first time actually engage.

He sent off a short reply, still unsure how to act and equipped his battle regalia, you could never be too safe in a slum floor like the 26th.

    Ok.

Macradon would make sure all of his armour was fitted properly before he would teleport up through the warp plaza and trigger his teleportation up to the 26th floor. He stepped out of the circular plaza center as the light turquoise spat him out from the first floor. His battle regalia made him stand out like a sore thumb, dark steel plating with bright white contrasting support plates over them, bold colours clashing with the dull slums, a cold misty aura laying a tiny layer of frost in his vicinity, Macradon was a looming beast that could be set free at any point, but the knight's composure would stay stoic for the time being.

  2. Macradon looked over at this HUD as a small notification appeared in his message inbox. The knight hesitated but was still quick to press the floating screen only he could see and would read the message. “Nice, a meeting, this should hopefully be better than the last, a bit too chaotic, but let’s see who shows up. It might actually be a very constructive and efficient meeting." They didn't know much about the boss or about the boss room other than the quick peek to get an understanding of the arena they’ll be fighting in, which didn’t really tell the vanguard party anything too useful.

Macradon sighed and rose from his sofa like a zombie rising from its grave, he nearly even looked the part. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to be at the meeting, he just didn’t have the highest of hopes for the gathering because of the “informal tea” that was added to the meeting’s description. Just like the last boss raid, it got quite … too lax and the discussions weren’t getting out to everyone, seemed like it was just a dialogue between two that kept being ping ponged at each other.

“Horseback … boat … nah I’ll go for a run, been a while since I exerted myself.” he thought to himself and donned all of his formal clothes for the tea gathering, he wanted to look as pretentious as possible for his journey. Quickly adorning his old knightly uniform with blue tailcoat and ruffled sleeves. Macradon equipped his vambrace as always, reminding himself of his past deeds and what he should strive to be better at “Sorry to you all.” he said out loud while looking at the etch markings on the vambrace.

With his personal preparations done, the knight rushed out of his estate and got to the teleportation plaza, uttered the words of the 22nd floor and was transported in light turquoise light.

The 22nd floor was just like he remembered it the last time, but for now he would have to go for another direction rather than going for that pillar guild thingy.

With how the valley was set up, the infrastructure of traveling even by foot wasn’t that difficult to much of a degree. The running waters and the sound of wildlife engulfed his sphere with a serene feeling. “I can see why so many wanted to live here.” he mumbled while sprinting towards the noted location. It took a bit of a while before the knight on foot arrived at the valley and would easily be able to spot the meeting as there were already familiar people gathered at the marked spot on the map.

Macradon quickly shifted out his current formal knight wear for his kimono like last time he attended a meeting on this floor.

He noted the current attendees and would wave around for those that he could lock eyes with, except the Jade Hunter, and empty cold nod was all that he could muster for that person. "With all these peanuts present, I hope no one was a salted on their way here." he said with a cheeky smirk.

Aerial strikes hinders his basic dexterity while airbound, but provides more than enough power in return. The Aerial Ace style always has the sword in one hand when initiating a Sword Art to aide the user in nimbleness to jump into the air, while in the air the user presumes the sword art stance and activates their Sword Art.

    Spoiler

The fleet footed knight kept leaping across the battlefield like he was in some kind of anime world, how wacky was that. His quick movements were nearly unrivalled, his sheer consistent damage kept the battlefield level as long as he was on the right side. At least that’s what he thought of himself, a brave knight that could shake a battlefield for the betterment of humanity and the inhabitants of Aincrad. This new skill of his made his world so much more fun, his nimble actions that were much more difficult to execute were now somehow ingrained into his body like some kind of pseudo-technical-muscle -memory being offloaded onto him after Cardinal studied his shenanigans.

His battle prowess was growing as time flew by which only excited the knight even more. “Ok, time to finish this dish once and for all!” he called out right after Ariel managed to land a good tech hit on the rat stunning it in its place “I’m in!” he called out and quickly circled around the lady, and with a few quick skips Macradon flew through the rat with a ferocious flurry of blows, leaving big red marks behind right before the rat would shatter into crystalline polygons, leaving nothing but the regular loot behind for the vanguard. The disco party had finished with the climax being the stench eradicated! Well not really, it still stank heavily in this rotten and forsaken place. Macradon would shake his body off from the digital adrenaline and would wipe off the worst of the icky sewage that had stuck to his armour.

He would stretch his body and look around at the rest of his party. “That guy hits hard … like, very hard. Anyone else hurt? Crozeph, how’re you holding up?” the knight inquired.

Everyone at the fight had a niche to fulfill, and nearly all of them managed to pull it off. He would note down who did what and what hits inflicted what.

He remembered that the Jade Hunter was a para kinda guy, but he didn’t get to see any of that this fight, not even a single stun, that rewards would’ve gone to Ariel for being a great team player, not something he would’ve thought of her as, but he had slowly warmed up to the killer of his vice commander, since none other than big Mack were worthy of praise. Baldur did what Baldur did best, katana to the max as always, efficient with his accuracy and stability, samurai to his core. Crozeph and NIGHT were the ones he would consider newcomers, at least unfamiliar. Crozeph seemed to go in the footsteps of Baldur, damage with a katana. NIGHT was probably the most interesting of the bunch, utilizing stealth and DoT, something interesting to see that wasn’t as common as straight damage build.

  5. The icky squeak and giggle of the vile beast shook Macradon to his core, it was eerie in a different way compared to much else he had been fighting. Mindless beasts, evil end bosses, sentient antagonists, and whatever Cardinal threw at him. This was quite different. The beasts he had slaughtered, the remnants he had to vanquish off the surface of Aincrad, they were nothing like this literal incineration of toilet humour … now they only needed something funny. It did not take too long for the machination to take its form, the lines, the comeback, the setup, everything was there in a flash, in an instant.

“Hey there Ratatouille, stop pulling all these strings and get on with it!” he called out in a jest, only for the rat to have already readied an attack at the knight. This monstrosity of a walking and talking rat was in some kind of anger filled state, perhaps some kind of rage gauge from the percentage of its health ... or just some other random trigger, who knew. The monstrosity struck him with immense force with the sound of an exploding trash can being fired through the streets of Russia. The cloud clanging from the impact threw Macradon a good few meters down to his gluteus maximus, leaving him in a semi prone action now drenched in sewage. “Ew.” he thought to himself while looking around his placement. He looked up at the big rat while rolling over his back to get into a fighting position again.

“Oh sorry, it’s Remy, isn’t it?!” He called out once again and made a swan dive by the side of the rat, executing a devastating combo of blows onto the side of the giant rat in a near instant flurry. “Cutting up these vegetables without a mandolin like a true chef!” he snickered and landed safely on the other side of the rat.

  6. One thing led to another … but this “another” was not something Macradon had anticipated, it was news to him that monsters could act in such way and it excited him to the core. “Yes!” he howled out in a gleeful manner as the ratman scoured away from the frontal forces and slithered up to the young man Crozeph to beat him up with his mace “Wait shit!” he growled back when he realized what that meant, its AI could target character by reverse aggro, which was much more difficult to juggle. But despite the harsh hit, Crozeph was steadfast and stood his ground even though his health points took a sizeable chunk from the one attack by the rat monstrosity.

The barrage of fierce frontliners would slowly whittle away the rat’s health in a good and stable manner, giving Macradon enough courage to press on. “Hey you rat bastard, who’re you looking at!” he called out as he went for another aerial strike. His quick approach towards the tangled mess of players that had rushed up before him would block his direct approach but one thing he wanted to try was a more dynamic attack than before.

With the metal of all the iron clad players present, the noise from Macradon was barely noticeable from all the sword and other player’s armour. His sprint was going full on towards the main threat, and his genius … perhaps not super genius … plan was to slide underneath and get to the other side of the rat and as he would exit the leg tunnel the knight sprung back up and pulled his sword behind him, arching from his back and over his head, using his built up momentum to slice upwards through the rat leaving himself with an exposed back.

  7. That rat bastard was just standing there, menacingly, waiting for the party to commence their vanguard. Macradon and the others had prepared themselves, at least most of them had prepared themselves for this battle. Recalling from earlier labyrinth bosses, they would be tough to fight for a single party, but still doable. First to act was NIGHT, quickly slithering into her hidden self before Hirru would approach, slowly as the overgrown rat began to speak.

“It’s somewhat intelligent, makes this fight a bit different than a savage dragon trying to wreak havoc …” he thought to himself and got into battle stance “Giving it a go.” he muttered and took a deep inhale. He spread out his legs for a wider stance, lowering his main hand and raising his offhand. His sword was in a lagging position behind him, ready to be towed around as he entered his <Aerial> stance.

Quick spurts of light emitted as multiple people ran up to the rat to engage in combat, blinding colours lit up the sewage arena, giving it an atmosphere like a late night underground rave, or a wild order 66 with lightsabers and blasters.

The knight began to charge in with heavy steps, each clanging and reverbing around the arena. He didn’t think of direct ways to get towards the rat since everyone had already gone straight at it, so there’s only one way to get to it if the front is blocked by attacks … jump over it.

As each lunge got closer and closer to the rat, Macradon felt like his body was getting lighter, his armour having minuscule drawbacks of weight, his blade shining bright. With a quick movement the knight easily manoeuvred over his party and with a quick spin perpendicular to the rat, Macradon used his downwards momentum to land behind it while cleaving down through it. His landing was less than beautiful, much closer to a near crash rather than a near landing but it managed to keep him standing. “Well that was new” he chortled in surprise, having no idea if that was how it was supposed to be used, or if he had to tinker a bit more with it.

  8. Hey there Lucky!
    Welcome to the site!

I'm Macradon, but most just call me Mac, it's shorter and easier.

  9. NIGHT had seemingly found the entrance to the labyrinth guardian, Macradon felt his energy levels rise up in excitement. The exhilarating and invigorating feeling of combat was on its way and the knight could barely contain his excitement as he grinned like a kid on Christmas day. He quickly adjusted all his armour to have a proper fit with everything and scoured through his inventory for a quick setup and chugged a wide selection of handy concoctions and snacks. Even though he had done all this prep work before on many occasions, this scenario was a bit different, somewhat vile to a degree. The scenery around them truly was the slums, truly a place of disgust. Macradon barely had the willpower to chow down all his snacks to prepare himself physically for this fight. The sewage that flooded the alley, the dim lights around him, and the plummeting temperature was far from an ideal environment for a fight, but they all had to tough this one out.

Macradon snickered and drew his sword after preparing himself for the fight and chortled at the guardian “This one seems quite tough, but I hope we’re all ready to throw ourselves at this … thing.”

  10. Macradon nodded at the Jade Hunter and took in a deep breath “Alright then, let’s get going, we have no time to lose, the guardian fight is getting closer, let’s head out!” he said after quickly noting the coordinates in comparison to their current location and began a slow lurch into the crowded area again while fully clad in armour. His menacing performance of a slightly short stature was enough to make the people part way and give him enough space to begin a full on sprint. With each heavy step a loud clanging of steel plating and maille fragments would enlighten the entire area like a smithy working at full throttle. The knight waded through the crowds and exclaimed his presence enough for people to have enough time to turn around and see his incoming charge.

Even though his skills had vanished over time, his senses were still at their top so directions were an easy feat for him to take care of. His «Tracking» skills had vanished during the transition in stats and skills, but this other funky «Aerial Ace» was somehow present in his skills, he hadn’t told anyone yet as he hadn’t had the time to discuss it, but maybe someone else had something like it laying around as well.

On his way towards the coordinates, something, or rather, someone bumped into him mid sprint. It was Crozeph, who had disappeared moments before, talking rather nonchalantly about some kind of unnecessary aggro. Macradon stumbled lightly to the side and stopped his sprint and listened to the oncoming hoard of footsteps “Oh yikes.” he said and tugged on the man’s sleeve “Let’s go, hurry up.” he instructed and kept his direction clear again.

It did not take the sprinting can of meat too long before he noticed the woman from his party, NIGHT. He hadn’t kept his pace very slow, but he didn’t go full ham at it either, hoping that his other party members were following suit. He didn’t look over his shoulder for them to join, he knew they were capable of it without his supervision … at least he had hoped so. “What’ve you found?” he asked NIGHT while catching his breath again from the jog.

  11. He smiled back at the woman called @Lessa and tried to comfort her encouraging words “Don’t worry, everyone learns in different patterns at different rates. I just chose to dedicate way more time than necessary for my profession,” he replied with a chortle.

He was growing slightly impatient, Crozeph and NIGHT have been gone for a while now, and no one really seemed to have any real idea of where the party should head next @Hirru , do we have a location yet? Do we know where Crozeph is?” he asked the party gatherer in a rather monotone voice “I don’t know much about either from our party, but I’d rather be safe and stick around them than letting them get into trouble while we’re sitting ducks,” he tried to explain and rearranged his equipment exchanging his «Knight’s Clothes» with his «Silverlight»-integrated battle regalia. He was already a sore thumb amongst these slums in his finer clothes, so wearing full armor would only make sense for his own protection while here, either way he looked suspicious no matter what he wore since all his colors were drastically more vibrant than those the slums consisted of. “If we have coordinates we can easily catch up to either of them.” Macradon said and stretched his steel clad body.

  12. Macradon chuckled at the children’s comment about the rag tag motley crew possibly being inquisitors … the group was quite inquisitive so that wasn’t that difficult to confuse the lot with what Macradon could only guess to be scary and well hidden services of the crown. Weary of these weird and off-putting, if not by their different clothing styles to the rest of the populace then possibly by their sudden inquisition, the children went their way again, not taking any chances.

“Can’t blame them. Sounds like they got into trouble for talking with these ‘Inquisitors’ before, might be useful information for later.” he said and cleared his teeth from candy wrapping and extracted a bottle of water from his inventory to clean his teeth and mouth again. He would listen to Hirru and his inquiry for NIGHT, if Macradon was still with his old skills, he could’ve accompanied her, but for now he would sit tight and let the specialists do their job.

Before NIGHT disappeared entirely, Macradon quickly did a pro-gamer-mover and sent everyone a quick party invite so they could track each other's presence, just to be sure anything wild was gonna happen. Macradon nodded at NIGHT before the lady went her way after the children.

    1880384149_MacradonPartyInvite.png.0330bf8cf9ed958370e947ec4c4e3d69.png

Macradon looked over at Hirru quite concerned when he asked for Crozeph’s appearance, had he gone missing all of a sudden? “Shit … I don’t want to do it now, gotta stay calm.” he said and moved his fingers away from his HUD. In an instant he was ready to shift to his battle regalia, but it would be dangerous to engage in combat with this crowd around them. His new skill even scared him, he wasn’t entirely sure what it did, and this place wasn’t where he wanted to test it out. “Oy, Crow, where are you at!” he called out into the nothingness of people walking through the streets around them.

  13. Macradon kept his disgruntled look like a stone cold murderer waiting for the children to make a mistake while everyone else seemed to be doting the kids. Even the likes of someone like Crozeph went up for the less-money-bribe and offered what every kid wants from strangers, candy, tasty sweet candy, Macradon even got a small handful. The knight didn’t even doubt for a second before chucking a few into his mouth and began chewing … something was off … something was quite tough to eat.

“What the actual -” he thought before being cut off by Crozeph.

He opened up his mouth to show his mouth now covered in the silvery wrapper around his teeth “They have wrappers???” he said with a profound shock in his tone. For most he appeared as a clown trying to make up a gag or a bit to counteract his “bad-cop” vibes, but to those that truly knew him this was but another mindless action the knight had a habit of getting into.

    MacBruhSquare.png.4fb4a2a0735a0ebe41b1012ace6e34a5.png

He blushed slightly before looking away from the others, averting his gaze from meeting anyone’s, focusing on the mangled cobblestone flooring. He fake chuckled and tried to act it out “Of course I knew they had wrappers, I’m just trying to be fun.” he said somewhat muffled while fishing out the tough candy wrappers now covered in saliva. He crushed them up and put them into his pocket until he could find a proper way of disposing of them, until then his pocket would be slimy like the giant peep he once devoured.

The children were obviously cautious of these weird strangers that had just appeared before them, now offering them money, food, and candy, it wasn't suspicious at all. While still fishing out bits of the foil form the candy he had gobbled up, Macradon would try to be a bit nicer now that his "bad cop" persona had been obliterated by being him. "We might look strange, we might look unfamiliar, but we ain't here for any trouble, don't worry." he said still trying to handle the candy in his mouth while also trying to follow up with Lessa's more calming approach. "If you're weary of us travellers, then how about I try to introduce myself. I'm Macradon, I work at a blacksmith in another town far from here, I craft weapons, armor, and whatever I can get my time to go by with, it's like a hobby."

  14. It was nice, his party members had begun to socialize as the entire entity walked through the slums. There were a few added comments towards their next actual step to find the labyrinth, and as Hirru began inquiring the populous, Macradon followed suit. The Jade Hunter tried to calm down the kids while Macradon stood behind him, glaring at the kid that stood up to them, but he didn’t advance, he just stood there, menacingly.

NIGHT was quick to join in and try to calm the kids, something that Macradon wasn’t too keen on, nor was he any good at it. Calming down others didn’t seem to be a skill he had, his empathy quotient was probably lower than the average, but with how he had been feeling lately, that made a lot of sense.

With what he expected of the woman, her incoming decisions weren’t something Macradon had thought of her to do, but Macradon just stood behind her and scoured at the children, nodding his head for them to accept the bribe. Macradon kept his silent demeanor up towards the children, staying stagnant at his position while waiting for the children to come with any directions for the party to venture to. For now, Macradon would be the intimidating cop with his two good cops.

  17. Macradon looked over at NIGHT, who seemed to have a great, if only basic, understanding of how the floor functioned. Macradon grew a big smile and replied with excitement “Now that’s what I like to hear. Been a while since I got to move around some more, let’s see what this floor has to offer, some kind of metaphorical underground expedition.” The last time this knight got swinging with his sword was … way before the big kaboom with skill reset and everything slowly not fitting whatever research he might’ve done with how everything worked beforehand, he even got this new fancy skill in his list with some kind of rip-off pokémon name.

“So much has happened in a short amount of time, can’t wait to try it all out and see what’s in store. NIGHT, was it, you’ve ventured this floor before, correct? Has the different tiers of populous had some kind of pattern in behaviour? Something overarching that seems to be set for each region of the floor like a social hierarchy and its stereotypical behaviour,” he inquired. NIGHT seemed to be the most knowledgeable of the bunch, all Macradon had to do was to be the master detective he wasn’t, all he was good for was looking into a brick wall and miraculously make his way to the labyrinth entrance, he hoped his luck would be just as stupid as all other times.

He looked over at Crozeph and then at the rest of the party “Yeah … this motley crew of adventurers doesn’t really yell prestige and royalty to anyone, does it?” he said with a light chortle “Let’s get undercoverground ~” he chimed and wafted his swallow tails behind like the snob he posed as while wearing his formal uniform “Hehe, if only those snobs knew what they were losing out on. Strawberry punch amirite … where’s Mari when I need her to crack jokes with.” he thought to himself while sighing, trying to keep his disappointment burrowed down beneath his cheery exterior, like a shining apple waiting for a savage animal to rip him to shreds so his inner self could be exposed to the world in all its glory.

  18. Hirru was acting quite dismissive at the knight’s entrance, which was fitting enough as to what he might’ve felt from the two’s past. Macradon wouldn’t try to engage in any discourse for now as their personal quarrel was in no way the burden to be put on everyone else present’s shoulders. The Jade Hunter reached out with a potion for the lot that had arrived, most if not all of them he already knew in some way or shape, and like everyone else Macradon would accept and chug it down to increase their potential for the labyrinth scouting.

As Hirru’s gaze would climb its way back up to meet Macradon’s, the knight’s scarlet eyes would look at him with disinterest for now. “Shit shit shit … I know I’m angry, but I don’t know how to react without making a scene, I’ll just keep it cool for now.” he thought for himself and nodded back at the Jade Hunter “We need as much manpower as we can get, and since I’ve been on quite many labyrinth scoutings, it felt appropriate that I would be joining.” he said with a monotone voice, very different from what he’s used to utter his sentences with, but he didn’t want to show any ill emotions or intentions with his words.

The knight's gaze crept over the gathering of players, whereas only Hirru and Baldur were someone he "fondly" remembered being part of his party in quests or raids beforehand, the rest were strangers to him, perhaps some of them had been patrons at his shop, in that case he's a shit store owner to not remember his patrons. The only person to actually start up a more social conversation was the raven-clad woman called NIGHT, Macradon chuckled and shrugged “I don’t personally have any resume to pass around. I’m Macradon. It has come to my attention that a lot of players in here have heard about my name … but some refuse to believe I actually exist … for some odd reasons, so I guess that’s my resume?” he said half jokingly. He would let the rest introduce themselves if they wanted to but would otherwise try to get the "expedition" going, they could spend time socializing while wandering around the floor.

“Alright,” he said and cleared his throat, “if everyone’s gathered and ready to venture out, should we begin our humble march and discuss team composition?” he proposed and would begin his first step into the wilderness of the 26th floor.

  19. Footsteps grew louder as a presence approached, slowly making its way to the knight. Macradon would look over his shoulder while brushing his hair away from his forehead “Ah, Kyoto. Good to see you again,” he said and paused while slowly getting up from his legged position “Been a while, but I guess that’s what happens when you get good equipment, eh?” he asked rhetorically with a wink in his eyes, he knew that good equipment rarely asked patrons to return again for a long while since they would be using that piece for a prolonged amount of time instead of getting new equipment all the time.

Macradon smiled at the man “No need to apologize for anything. Any quest I can help with is my pleasure,” he said and nodded his head at Kyoto. “How much do you know about the quest and its whereabouts?” the knight asked Kyoto before he began his steady march towards the quest site.

Macradon knew where the quest was located, he knew what they were looking for and how to decipher the tablet they wanted to get, but he didn’t want to just let it all out on Kyoto, since that would ruin the quest’s spirit as well as Kyoto’s experience with the quest, he needed to get as much context for the rest of the relentless quest line as he could. “I’m already well versed in the quest, so I’ll be here as a guide rather than someone properly tackling the quest with you, since that would be too easy,” he said with a snicker and continued his march.

With every step his armour clang, with every step his armour weighed him down, but he persevered since everyone knew him as this. His armour, his sword, that was what identified him and made him special in the front lines, there were no other logical explanation as to why he stood out so much as he did during boss raids, it couldn’t have been his personality, he was too bland.

  20. “What the actual fuck …” were the first few words coming out of his mouth as he read the message enter his inbox. It was from no one else than his former Vice Commander who rightfully protected the raid boss from being cleared because of his moral compass in a game. “Not a name I had anticipated nor hoped to ever see again … but here we are …” he thought to himself and sat back up his sofa, trying to rearrange himself to sit more comfortably while reading and comprehending what was going on.

“First he halts the raid by protecting the boss, now he wants to progress again … can’t that man make a choice in his life?” he thought and sighed loudly. He stood up from the sofa and went through his inventory, checking out what equipment he would be needing for this. In a few flashes of light, Macradon donned his formal uniform, his necklace, and his sword strapped to his back, he was ready to venture out. He turned his head over his shoulder and made a mental note “I should say bye before I leave.”

He quickly moved by and stuck his head into the bedroom “I’ll be going labyrinth scouting with an old acquaintance, will be back soon.” he said to his fiancé and left his house.

    -Macradon

Was his only reply to the message.

Aiming towards the given rendezvous point, Macradon was determined to fight on and see where this new dynamic would go. How much had Hirru changed in the time he last saw him an the 24th. There was a lot of pent up anger boiling up inside the knight, but it was foolish to linger on old wounds and not let them mend themselves, he would try to find out what could spark such a reaction from someone he had thought was a comrade to him.

Arriving with everyone else, Macradon waved and nodded at everyone present, quite a motley crew. He didn’t say anything, he was trying to keep his frustration hidden as much as possible, emotions had once been a tragedy to him, he would not let them become another.

    Quest Rewards:

    • 500 Experience Points
    • Each player receives:
      • Nature’s Tablet
        • A stone with a message directing the player to defeat six tough enemies. It is an <<Immortal Object>> and cannot be broken by any other means than clearing the SotW questline.
        • Not Transferrable
    • Unlocks the following quests:
      • <<Scents of the Wild>> quest line

    Requirements:

    • Explore the cavern and find the tablet.
    • Decipher the tablet on the tree bark (Combined LD total of 60 from all players. Equipment and skill buffs apply, consumables do not.)

    Summary:

Information brokers have found something amazing underground on Floor One. Near the edge of the floor, there is a cavern that was once known as a great farming location when the game was first started. With the recent unlock of floor twenty-five, people were amazed to find a sealed off location revealed! A rock wall had disappeared, leading into a smaller cavern. The most notable thing was a massive, closed door carved into the stone. No matter what is attempted, the door refuses to budge. Upon further inspection, you find six indents within the door in peculiar shapes.

The room also contains a giant tree, having somehow grown to tremendous size despite the barest hints of sunlight that reach down from above. At the base of the tree is a podium with a tablet. On one side, there are six markings similar to those on the door. On the other, there is a message written in another language. Luckily for you, there is a cipher etched against the tree bark. Do some research and figure the message out.

    Outline:
Once the tablet is acquired, players must make a collective LD count of 60 to decipher the message on the back of the tablet. Once the tablet is readable, the words on the stone begin to change into the players' native language.

“If seeking power, wisdom and resilience, find ye those which embody nature’s graces: The fiercest of beasts with unmatched strength; a sentinel to the afterlife bound by the Stygian river; a wise and wily water-borne predator; the unmoved titan who is callous and free; a sly shadow high in the branches of the forest; and lastly, that which prowls and safeguards the sky. Only once vanquished will you harness their power to your benefit. These are the Keepers of Nature.”

Once translated, players may undertake the Scents of the Wild quests. For each quest completed, the tablet they carry with them will break into a shape of the indents in the door. These keys will be used to open the stone door and reach the ‘Power of Nature’ hidden within.

    Epilogue:

    Spoiler

With Mother Nature's blessing, the Player has acquired a stone tablet after transcribing the etchings. They may now undertake the "Scents of the Wild" quest line.

It had been a while since Macradon last did a “redo” of quests, even if they were revamped and completely overhauled, they usually still kept themselves as “completed”, this was one of those that stayed “completed”, but he had heard that one of his acquaintances were in need of assistance, or at least company, for the completion of the quest line. It wasn’t someone he had spoken with a lot beforehand, it was a person that occasionally appeared in his shop for orders, which was nice. Kyoto wasn’t someone he had the biggest relations with, but he would never decline and offer to learn more about somebody, which leads him to this day, to this spot, at the outskirts of the first floor. “All I gotta do now is to wait, I guess.” he mumbled for himself and sat down on the grass waiting for Kyoto to arrive.

The breezy cold air whaffed over him as a gust quickly blew his clothes and hair around, cooling down the warrior as he patiently waited for his companion to arrive. Macradon had been used to soloing everything, he hadn’t really accompanied many in quests unless they explicitly asked for his help, and most seemed to have forgotten his existence, or just plain outright denied that someone like him even existed, which was … wack.
