  1. The sound of Koga's cracking knuckles would reach him before the man would suddenly take a stance. From there, a few seconds would pass before Jonathan realized that the man wasn't going to attack. What happened to the rushing attacks that Astralin had implored? The woman had rushed him and then used feinting attacks to catch him off-guard. He never even got the chance to learn how to detect the intent in her attacks. With both fists available, it was hard to decipher the possible attacks.

A sigh would exhale from Jonathan's lungs. "I was kind of hoping you'd make the first attack. My offense is just fine." A stance would be taken, followed by a sharp exhale of breath and the steeling of his emotions. The Storm Style that he had developed from Baldur's teachings heavily utilized Fudoshin to harness his own emotions for speed and strength.

In the time it would take him to simply reach for his weapon at his side, he would suddenly be charging forward at an almost untraceable speed. 'Shock Drop' was originally made as an aerial downward strike and had been used against Skalaugh the Reaver, however; he found the attack typically only worked on larger targets. Repurposing the ability, he would exchange speed for the force of gravity and create an attack that would work on the ground.

At a blinding speed, the blond-haired man would suddenly be feet away from Koga and executing his attack. The wooden blade reached straight towards the man's face without hesitation.

    206339 BD:8 vs. Koga

  2. The blond man would raise an eyebrow as Koga began to compliment Snow. The woman was quite attractive but to begin flirting immediately? Quite odd. That, or the man wasn't the best at typical social interaction. "Astralin didn't seem too strange to me. It just looked like she had something to prove, that's all. I only got to know her over a sparring match though." His thoughts traveled to his fight with the woman. The Martial Artist hadn't attacked him head-on and reading her moves was nearly impossible. Perhaps after seeing more attacks, he would learn to read them better.

"I'm good with whatever, I'm just here to beat up and get beat on."

"It might be a while before you start getting beat on. It was a pretty bitter defeat," he would say before stepping over to the racks of available wooden weapons. Choosing one, he would give it a few test swings before walking back to the center of the dojo. "If you're ready I guess we can get started."

  3. Now, I know that no one was questioning where Morgenstern and Tricolor_Mina were... but it is safe to say that he wasn't doing anything he was supposed to. One look at the situation after the Scather fired and he found himself purposely busying himself and @tricolor_mina with things that didn't put the pair in immediate danger. Hitching a ride on a metal can and hope not to get shot out of the sky? That was ridiculous.

Now, the pair stood guarding one of the entrances to Low-Ladonia and preventing anyone from entering. Only a few had come but he and Mina had swiftly cut them down. Large cracks split the sky as cannons fired from the Ifrit.

"Are they shooting their own ships now?" he would ask Mina jokingly. It was obvious that the players has succeeded and were now manning the cannons, turning them against their allied ships. The falling airships threatened them not with being far enough from the battle site. Several minutes would pass, the air becomes still. "Looks like not much-left stands in the sky. I guess we should try to move to meet them. The Galteans should be fine from here on."

The Storm Samurai would lead his partner out into the ruins of the city. Wreckage from shot-down Airships littered the area, creating large obstructions. The blond-haired player wasn't sure where exactly he was going, but he was aimed for the Galtean Refugee zone. Perhaps one of the taxis had been left behind?

Before arriving; however, he would find one of the Ladonian army ships sitting on the ground, its crew nowhere to be seen. "It must've lost its crew. A miracle it didn't get crushed. Come on, help me drive it."

  4. It would seem that the young man was due for a lesson and one did not simply have a lesson without a story. The only thing Jon actually managed to take from the story that apparently fighting left-handed users were difficult to fight. "I've practiced against a few non-katana users. Not much I haven't seen I don't think, except for Martial Arts. I actually forgot the skill existed there for a while." He had seen most of the weapons out there and had a pretty good idea how to counter each of them. Unless someone brought a unique style or weapon to the field he was usually good for a fight.

The blond watched as Baldur typed up a quick message. Koga was a name unknown to him. Not one he had heard of in passing. Or had he? Was it one of the names that were listed in the tournament? Unclear, Jonathan would fold his arms and wait patiently for 'Koga' to arrive.

"Excuse me, would it be too distracting if I sat in on the lesson?"

Blue-green eyes turned to Snow. "No, I don't think it should be too much of a problem." A smirked passed over his face before he turned away. "Can't be distracted if you are properly using Mushin anyway." He nodded to acknowledge himself for remembering the term. Albeit, Mushin wasn't something he had mastered. Fudoshin seemed to be the easiest thing for him to pick up and had been incorporated into his fighting style the most. As a man that was already in a relationship though, it should be easy enough to not be distracted by a simple girl.

The panel door slid open, revealing a simple dark haired man. There was nothing outstanding about his looks and from the first sentence there wasn't anything outstanding with his way of words. He was... normal. Honestly, it was sort of refreshing. "Don't know what you're talking about. Baldur and the others really enjoy the traditional style, though you can just wear what is most comfortable. Are you Koga?"

  5. Looking at Snow, it was obvious that he was underdressed as always. Jonathan never really embraced the Japanese culture as much as the others had. It at least made sense since most of the students were actually Japanese, Jonathan however was an American. The blond respected Baldur's habits and when a large number of visitors would come he would find himself wearing more traditional clothing.

As always, Snow's voice was cheery and spoken with a smile. The girl was insanely cute but in the eyes of many, she had almost felt like a little sister although she was a bit older than Jon himself. "If I stay in bed for too long Mina will get crass with me. Personally, I think she just gets bored being up by herself. Good to see you by the way."

Their conversation continued, only lasting for a moment before the Master had arrived himself. The sound of the sliding panels would pull his attention, blue-green eyes looking onto Baldur as he entered. Even now it would appear that the Gaijin Samurai adorned his standard Haori. When was the last time he had seen the two apart?

Baldur would greet him but then immediately poked at him with a joke. "I'll try sometime but she's got a friend who prepares some mean dishes. Anyway, I'm not too sure about it, if I bring her then I've just set myself up for being teased on two sides. Major disadvantage." His last words were spoken with a fake sorrow.

"What brings you by the dojo today?"

Jonathan's left head would ride to ruffle his hair, an apologetic expression growing on his face. "Well, after the tournament I've been thinking a lot... about how I lost. I realized, I'd never had a chance to face off against a Martial Artist. I don't know how to even try to fight them. I don't know anyone who uses that skill so I was hoping you might."

"It is definitely weird going against someone using fists with a sword. I can at least say that much."

It had been a few days since the tournament's passing and something had bothered him relentlessly. The Storm Samurai had been easily defeated at the hands of a Martial Arts user. Not only had she beaten him, but it was a landslide. Against her quick attacks, he hadn't stood a chance. Could he had even fended her off with a real blade? There was no telling. If push came to shove, could he compete in a real fight against a martial artist? It was these questions that had brought him to his Sensei's abode.

The White King adorned a red tracksuit accompanied by his standard white garb. Blue-green eyes looked ahead at the door to his master's dojo. His left hand rested on the white-and-gold hilt of a katana that was sheathed at his side. A knock on the door to the dojo would be followed by the words: "Pardon me!" before the door would slide open. Stepping into the dojo, his eyes would fall onto a golden-haired woman who was bending down to pick up some wooden weapons which had been lying on the floor.

"Someone leave their stuff on the ground again?" he would ask @Snow"If you want, tell me who did it and I'll knock some sense into them." His words were phrased in a way that was obviously a joke. "You see Baldur anywhere around here? I need some help with something." His eyes watched intently as he waited for an answer.

     @Baldur @Koga

  7. The air vibrated as the Storm Samurai pushed forward, the wooden sword creaking with the air resistance pushing against it. The girl who was his opponent took a defensive stance and as he came close would... grab his arm? Using his speed, she would guide him away from her body. His teeth would grit as he turned direction back towards Astralin. He had purposely set up for his attack to be two-pronged, but his first was supposed to have met its mark. Everything was already off with her having redirected him, though he was too far in to redirect now.

Another flash and his weapon aimed for the neck of his opponent. However, it appeared that Astralin had taken the offensive immediately after her throw. A fist met his shoulder before his blade could reach her. Freezing in place, the man would stop. "Looks like this victory is rightfully yours." Retreating his weapon, the wooden weapon would return to its sheath. How much different would the fights had gone if they had used real weapons?

His eyes would search Astralin. "You know you bested both Calrex and I, students of this very same school. If you don't win, I'll be a little upset."

In his eyes was the battle all that fair? In a training scenario, Martial Arts certainly had the upper hand, however; Jonathan himself was severely lacking in experience in fights against MA users. Not that it mattered too much, few players used it. The chances of having to fight someone with it were quite low. This match was over, and he could at least say he was satisfied. He did the best with what he had to work with.

    Astralin 3/3 VICTOR

    Morgenstern 1/3 CHUMP

  8. Astralin was a troublesome opponent. By using martial arts, she was able to attempt two puncturing attacks before he was able to make a single slash. Had he been using his real weapon he might have stood a much better chance here. Sadly, he was using a wooden bokken and had relatively no experience dealing with martial artists. It was a rather sore matchup for him. Returning to a defensive stance, the blonde girl would begin pushing him immediately. 'I need to decipher which is going to be her real attack. Detect the killing intent.' The issue was, the girl wasn't trying to kill him. Her intentions were going to be blurry.

As she came in for a strike, the samurai would twitch and his weapon would release from the sheath... at the wrong moment. Diving back, the girl would deliver a pounding fist into his exposed side. Leaping back, his eyes would travel to his health bar. 'Is she... actually dealing damage to me? I guess it makes sense since she isn't a practice weapon. She came into this battle without a single restriction on her normal fighting style.'

A thud would be audible as the wooden pommel slammed into its sheath. "I guess there isn't any room for error, is there?" Green eyes bore into the girl. "I'll come at you without holding back, prepare yourself." The air would vibrate and suddenly he would dash forward. This was his one chance. He couldn't give her the chance to regain the offensive, he would defeat her here.

"First Form, Shock Drop... Equinox!" Normally, Shock Drop would use the momentum of gravity to enhance its force. Right here, he would use pure speed. Should he intend the use the second attack it would have to be that way. A rush forward at blinding speeds would take Astralin head-on. Could she block it? She could try. If she wanted this win then she would have to dodge and counter but could she almost have to move subconsciously to attempt it.

    Astralin 2/3

  9. His next opponent was a player that went by the name of 'Astralin'. It wasn't one he had heard before but the fact that she had beaten Calrex... it was worrisome. Not only had Calrex been someone the blonde had looked up to but he was also the first student that Baldur was said to teach. That spoke more in favor of the girl than anything else. He would need to be a bit more careful with this one. There was a good chance he wasn't fooling around with an amateur any longer.

Stepping into that stage, he would become faced with a blonde-haired girl who was only a tad shorter than himself. She would introduce herself as Astralin to which he would reply, "The name is Jonathan. I don't care too much for the audience as long as we are having fun."

Green eyes squinted as he realized something. The girl wasn't carrying any form of weapon. A Martial Arts user? Was that even legal in this tournament? It honestly would give the woman quite an advantage. While she didn't have the reach if she attacked relentlessly there wasn't much he could do. Taking a wide stance, he would grasp both sheath and handle with his hands. He would need to counter an attack and then keep the momentum on his side. 'Fourth Form...'

Astralin would charge forward, a powerful right hook aimed right at him. A twitch of his right hand would see his weapon released a move to strike. 'Lightni-' The woman pulled back one fist to strike with the other. "Shit!" he would curse just before her fist would strike his torso. 'A faint?' he thought. That was something the last contestant hadn't attempted. Leaping backward, the pommel of his weapon would hit its sheath. 'Third Form...' A man dash would send him flying towards the girl. Spinning horizontally, his weapon was aimed to strike at each of her limbs. 'Torrent!'

  10. The tap of a sword to his chin would cause his eyes to widen. She had gotten her attack through his? Was she truly a beginner? Even with him using different equipment, he should still be performing well above her skill level. Perhaps she was just amazingly talented with a knack to pick things up quickly. He swiped his weapon forward but the girl had already widened the distance between them. 'Smart,' the boy would muse. Close-ranged fights were where he shined as a fighter even if he could close distances quickly.

A heavy exhale would come from the man as he got his breathing back under control. His smile was uncontrollable at this point. "YES! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!" he said with a bit too much energy. Arabelle would come head-on with her weapon at the ready. From here, he could block her and counter but where would be the fun in that? No, he would face her on the terms she had set out.

Pushing off the ground would see the man placed in front of Arabelle much faster than she would've expected. With his excitement, he had forgotten to hold back at all. "Raikiri," were the words he muttered before slashing out. His bokken came in contact with Arabelle's and her weapon would snap, sending a piece flying off like a twig. Quickly resetting his stance, he would slowly move to rest the tip of his weapon on the top of the woman's head.

"That was a lot of fun! Honestly, I think I'd love a rematch when you get just a bit better at it! Honestly, if I didn't use a katana normally I think you'd have really kicked my ass!"

    [point - Morgenstern]

    Arabelle 2/3
    Morgenstern 3/3

  11. Arabelle had been able to get into his defenses and an eyebrow rose. He noticed that she was doing her best to keep them distanced as well. Could it be that she was just an extremely quick learner? She had started this battle looking clumsy and inexperienced. After exchanging only a few blows it was almost as if she had slipped into a stance that made her feel more comfortable. She even was confidently calling out her points. Cocky? Perhaps. He would be more than willing to enjoy it though.

"Alright then, not bad!" A shit-eating grin would plaster onto his face. Continuing forward, he would thrust his weapon forward and strike the girl in the center of the chest. His attack seemed to have worked until he realized a bit too late, it didn't seem like she actually intended to block the attack. Was it a trap? Attempting to back away, he would take a backstep away from Arabelle.

I dunno what Rolls are needed with the error I am pretty lost tbh.

    This is the known score:

    2/3 Arabelle
    2/3 @Morgenstern

  12. Arabelle... that was his opponents name. It wasn't one that he had heard in passing. Her words told him that she wasn't very experienced at this and he gave her trill chuckle. "That's alright, I'm sure you'll do fine." Rushing forward, his bokken would aim for her right hip in an upward slant. To his surprise, her weapon would catch his and prevent it from striking her. A joyous grin caught his face. Even if she didn't have experience, she could keep up with the speed. "Splendid." He would mutter. Faint movement caught his eye and he immediately understood what she was trying to do. For a moment, it looked like her plan would bear fruit. Giving way from his strength, he would sail past the woman. However, when her strike came at his unguarded back, he would suddenly shift and strike upwards to knock her blade away from his body. Taking advantage, he would raise his weapon into the air and slash down, halting the weapon just before it struck the girl.

"We'll just call that one mine, alright?" A laugh before he backed away from the girl. The bokken returned to his side, he would watch the girl. What would she do now? Or had she not decided yet? Regardless, Jonathan's style of fighting would remain offensive. He should move before she even got the chance to think of another plan. She was inexperienced, she would try to win him through logic.

He wouldn't be able to use the same attack again, he needed to keep things fresh. It was off to round two now. A sharp exhale would be audible before the boy suddenly moved again. Unburdened by his heavy armor, he was faster than usual. Dashing to the side, he would quickly strike from a different angle, this time his weapon was aimed horizontally at the girl's midsection.

    Morgenstern: 1/3

    @Arabelle: 0/3

  13. Surfacing from the sewers, the blond would be once again faced with the town of Low-Ladonia. He hadn't traveled much through the floor, but the slums of the city were something he had to travel through to end up at the boss room. It was still a bit strange that they had stolen the boss from the room and were now helping him basically wage war.

Green eyes scanned the surrounding areas. The NPCs here were... cowering in fear? Approaching one, it would shrink back from him. Why were they so afraid. "You guy think we were too late? Perhaps we should have made a decision on Gabrandr faster." Taking @tricolor_mina's hand, he would quickly start moving to the stairs to the open sky. Whispering to the girl he would tell her, "Stick with me? It would make me feel a lot better."

Surfacing, he would shield his eyes from the sun as they adjusted to the light. It appeared that there were... ships flying through the sky? "Nobody told me this place had airships! Guess I never looked up huh. Wonder what it'd be like to fly in one." Honestly, he wasn't even sure as to which direction to move. Smoke rose into the air from the city. Most likely, the airships were the enemies. Things weren't looking well for them. The blonde would follow the group to whichever the direction they went.

    Round One: Morgenstern vs. Arabelle

Jonathan was sorely unprepared for partaking in a match. The blond boy hadn't expected to even be fighting today. Much less with a bunch of training gear. Pushing the hair from his eyes, green eyes would focus on the girl who moved to stand before him. Bowing, he would introduce himself, "Name is Jonathan, nice to meet you." Straightening his posture, he would take a rather strange stance for using a simple bokken. Ara would be seeing him hold his weapon at his side as if it was in a sheathe. It felt uncomfortable, the weapon was far lighter than his normal katana. The boy was a bit nervous, worried to lose at his own teacher's residence. He had trained with this before. However, there was some kind of thrill to be held here as well. He knew nothing of his opponent or how she would be fighting.

"Gonna have to ask you to go a little easy on me, I wasn't really prepared to fight today. I get a feeling I know who signed me up for this and I don't think she'd be too happy if I lost here." A grin spread across his face. "Well then, if you're ready." Pushing off of the ground, the boy would be standing in front of the unknown woman within a moment's notice. Pulling the blade from his side, a powerful single slash would aim itself at the woman's right him in an upward slash.

  15. Arriving on @Baldur premise, his eyes would survey the area. It seemed that many people had already gathered here. Excellent, looked like they would be in for quite a spectacle. Walking behind @tricolor_mina, a hand would brush her shoulder. Instantly, he would tease the girl. "Coulda waited just a little longer for me, just had to actually find this clothing. It's not normally what I wear but it makes Baldur happy. I don't remember if I ever told him I was American." A chuckle would be audible between the two before he continued on.

Greeting Baldur, he would begin to explain his presence. "Figured I would swing by and watch the festivities. Its nice to just be able to sit back and relax a bit." The man would chuckle, inform him of Jon's plight, and then continue tending to his events. This would leave Jonathan in a state of shock.

"WAIT, what do you mean I am competing! I didn't sign up!"

    Jon's attire:

  16. Having given his outburst, Jon felt a lot better. After the last couple of weeks unsure of what was happening all bottled up inside, it just felt nice to get the words off of his chest. Maybe Mina didn't understand, but Raidou would know how he seen him. It didn't appear like the man had any intention of changing his view either. Oscar spoke his piece, and Jonathan would at least have to see the reason behind his words. His opinion was unchanged but he understood the frontlines was not the place to be having this. The only problem was: if the frontlines wasn't where he had it... what stopped Raidou and his guild from hacking down him, Mina, and the Arbiters?

It seemed that the frontliners had now come to their conclusion and Jonathan would sit soundly with it. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lashed out... not here. Sometimes I forget my own place. Even if we ended up deciding to kill him, I would have respected it albeit it maybe slightly upset." Turning back to Gabrandr, he would ask him one more question. "What do you have to say now?"

  17. So far, the situation seemed to end up Firm Anima vs. the rest of them. Interesting how that played out. Another one of the lot spoke up with a grand speech. What was his name again? He wasn't sure he had caught it, but the man had been there when the suspicious situation involving Mina arised. His argument consisted of absolute logic. Gabrandr was an AI, they were players. It was a logic that couldn't be argued because he spoke nothing but the absolute truth.

The blond's greenish gold eyes would rest upon this man for a short while longer until Hirru spoke up. It was surprising to see the man speak up with everything that had happened last time. It seemed that the man had opted for a neutral stance. He wasn't going to let Gabrandr off the hook without information. There was certainly purpose in getting the information. The player's were certainly left in the dark on the what and how

It was Raidou that would respond, the cool and logical voice wafting through the small crowd. His voice annoyed Jonathan, but simply because Jon didn't like the man. As he spoke, a fist would suddenly clench. Raidou's true colors would show through his words although shrouded they might be. This man was an unknown and he knew it. Cautious, meticulous, and deadly. The Wanderer held both strength in his words and weapon. In any form of match, the former Paladin would stand no chance. Regardless, he couldn't find the strength to hold back his own tongue.

"Funny you would put your words like that, Wanderer." The American hissed. "But, to use your buddy's words: he's an AI. He will do what he's programmed to do. Regardless of whether he can lie or not, I don't see any logical reason why he'd be going out of his way to kill us. He already has a clear target. Now... a human can lie of course. They don't follow any pattern, any programming. Yet, most of us could trust just about everyone here."

A crackling noise would be audible as Jonathan's words became more accusing.

"Gabrandr's actions would've cost the lives of many NPC's. Now, using your friend's logic: entirely pointless. So what if a few thousand of 'Cardinal's Pawns' met their end? Not like it holds any real weight. Nowhere near the weight of... I don't know.... A hundred actual players?" The boy's words were spat with a hard venom. He had gotten sick of 'good ol harmless Raidou' just showing up and controlling everything.

"Let's spin your question for a second. How many player's would you wipe off Aincrad if it meant you could save what was important to you? I can't blame you for any answer you take, but I'd be willing to take my chances with Gabrandr."

A glare would pierce daggers into Raidou. He had told the man to stay away from Mina and now she was entering the boss fight with him? He didn't give a damn about her safety did he? Odds were, the whole thing before had been crafted by him for some unknown sick purpose.

"I trust that mob more than you by a longshot, Red Wanderer. At least I know what his end goal is. You remain an unknown to the rest of us, doing whatever you please. Now you're gonna stand there and kill something for attempting what you already did? Isn't that some shit." As his last words echoed into the room, he realized he could hear his own breathing. It had become heavy in his rant against the man. This wasn't the place, but with everything that happened last time? It was amazing he had kept his mouth shut for so long. Tricking Mina into thinking he was some 'good guy' that was her friend? Raidou didn't make friends. He made tools. He had an entire guild of them by this point. The question was: what was all of the tools going to be put to work for?

  18. The battle came to an almost immediately halt. It was as if the king suddenly gave out. Frowning, he would watch as the King's name would suddenly glitch out again. Not only that, the boss had suddenly taken a shift from almost half of his unique Blue health to a low Red. How had that happened? What did the blue stand for and why had it gone away when Gabrandr gave up? There was something about this boss that was different.

Listening to his words, the blonde could hardly believe it. Was he just giving it up there? He wanted them to take his torch? Why was he unwilling to fight them? Moving to the front, he would look to Gabrandr as ask the boss directly a question. "Why do you stop fighting? Is it because you won't? Or is it because you can't?

It appeared the entirety of Firm Anima had decided against the boss. Whether that had an influence on his decision or not, he was unsure. Their leader had killed so many. Now he was wanting to pass judgement on a man who simply threatened to? Much less, NPC's as well. Incredulous his audacity was. The others might've just been blind followers. He hadn't the chance to meet many of them.

"I say we abstain our decision for now. Let him live, take us to the surface. We can see if he lies or not there. We've beaten him here, so if he ends up fighting up there we can put him down. Here, he just seems like someone cornered. He was left with one decision: to fight like a cornered rat."

Sighing, Jonathan would stand with his katana pointed toward the ground with both hands resting on its hilt. "The Ascendants were taken from me... ripped away in an instant. Most of them are gone now. I did no less than this man before us. I lashed out on the one's who cause it and an innocent got caught up in it. A real person, not an NPC. All I'm saying is that I would give him the same second chance that was offered me. Should he be willing to accept it and Atone as I did."

Taking his weapon and sheathing it, he would make a few steps towards the room's entrance. "Kill him or spare him, it may not matter. Hirru proved to us three floors back that a Boss can change. Who knows, maybe this one might actually be useful. I want to head up and see the city. If something is going on up there for real, the fight not be in this room anymore."

  19. A call out from Macradon gathered the blond's attention for a moment. He was going to take on the role of tank for the next half? Alright then, he would definitely be willing to have a break. "I'm gonna help the girls with the cannon thingy!" A sudden burst of light took the center stage as Gabrandr hurled a volley of blue fireworks. "Is that even allowed? Look at the range on that." He would mutter aloud as he made his way over.

Gabrandr stood guard over the Scather but with Sam and Simmone already working on it, it was little effort to get involved. He supposed it would be hard to fight off the attacking players and fend off the players that attacked the machine. Brandishing his weapon, he thrust the katana into the machinery's chink and hit it with static. Electricity coursed through its metal conductor and began to short circuit what the man had built. "That should do it, don't you think? Just one left to break and then he's all out of tricks!"

  20. Turning her attention towards him, Violet smiled brightly as greeted him. Returning the warmth, Jon would then be greeted by Violet's feathery dragon, Akame. After a moment rubbing against his face, Violet's familiar found its place resting on his shoulder. The creature was lucky his own familiar didn't stick around too often. The ice crystal dragon was prideful and seemed to enjoy keeping his own space. Jonathan never called on it too much in the first place.

Fingertips brushed his cheek and his thoughts returned to Violet who carried a loving expression in her eyes. She invited him up and while he would hesitate for a moment, he join her up in the branches. "I kinda wanted to talk about something too... but you can go first. I'll listen." His voice was quieter than normal and it seemed almost passive as if it wasn't directed at Mina.

Staring off into the distance he couldn't help but tell her. "You know, you just see this from the house. Don't have to be in a tree."

  21. Attacks slammed through his defenses as Gabrandr slashed through him like it was nothing. Then to put the icing on the cake, the spear that struck down cut through the whole party, bringing all of them even lower. His health had reached the yellow as well. A heavy breath was released from his lungs as he realized their predicament was slowly becoming worse. It was as it the man was getting stronger as they were going on. The battle had started at a relatively easy pace but they were getting more difficult as the time went on.

A tickling sensation trickled up his body as Simmone would take the time to heal the party. Good, now they weren't in danger. At least... for now. Nodding his appreciation to the cat-like woman, he would return his attention to the boss. "Time for us to bite back I suppose. Tall blue and handsome has just been wailing on us. Time to make him 'Fall' down a few pegs huh?"

A sudden static would add itself to the air as Jon brandished his weapon. With a single stroke, and electric sting would add itself across Gabrandr's side. The static would spread to the area but it would fail without a target. Winking, he would joke, "Shocking, isn't it?"

  22. The flower garden was never for him. In fact, it hadn't even existed at his original residence on the 19th floor which was actually amazingly close to Rikers Edge. Still to this day, anybody could walk the abandoned halls of the Morningstar Mansion. It was left deserted after the Ascendants fell as he himself had fallen to despair. The Morning Rose Manor was different. It was... happier. New life had bloomed here and it was one he could feel comfortable at. Brilliant blooming colors beamed as their hues almost seemed to dance in the sunlight. There was only one thing that set apart from the dreamy atmosphere.

    Him.

He himself couldn't become at ease with the situations at hand. He had done his best to make Mina think everything was okay because he didn't want to trouble her with his feelings. However, it seemed that if he wanted to fix he problem he would have to fix the source of it. He had told Raidou to stay away from Mina, and yet he found her instead on the Frontlines joined in his group. Mina had a tendency to dive headfirst into dangerous situations and everyone just seemed to let her. The Arbiters, Firm Anima, everyone but him. One day, she would find herself in a trouble and he wouldn't be able to protect her. Then, he would lose her just like he had the Ascendants. He couldn't take that. Was he right for asking her to stop? Or would this be the end of 'them'.

He would find her, hanging upside down from a branch of the Wisteria tree. Placing his hands in the pocket of his white and gold jacket, a smile would play on his face as he walked up. "Having fun up there?" He asked, his head tilted slightly up so that he could see her eyes. He loved Mina, but he couldn't afford to lose her. He couldn't trust Rosa or Raidou not to ruin that for him.

Jonathan's eyes narrowed at the flashy display of the boss. Were they finally getting into the real fight? Had they seen what they gotten their proper introduction now? It was barely after that thought passed through his head before the boss was on him, and he was forced into a defensive stance. Blocking the blows with his katana, he couldn't help but feel the extreme pressure of the titan pounding away at him. What strength was he possessing now? A singular attack and almost a third of his health gone. It slowly began to creep up, but how much more of it could he take.

Who was supposed to be the healer again? Simmone? No, she was the machine girl with the knack of turning them off. Without that, they wouldn't stand much of a chance. Who knew if the game would bury them below the rubble if any more of those went off. Before the boss managed to get too far away, he tried to swing his weapon in a powerful arc. Failed. In fairness, it was the first time he had tried attacking with the new system. His sword art list had changed drastically.
