  1. Domarus narrowed his eyes under the visor.  He was about to challenge her when she started to walk away.  He snapped his fingers and Porvós shot off after her, re entering the darkness and once again separated from Keres.  Hearing the sigh from behind he turned around and continued to walk.  He figured he could do something to distract himself from Hestia.  Probably just tackle another set of monsters regardless of his health.  He could take on one at a time reducing the amount of damage he'd receive.  Then again he'd-  He stopped as a figure appeared in front of him.  One that seemed familiar but, he couldn't make it out.  There was emotion that he felt though.  Indifference and anger.  And there was only one person he felt that combination towards.  His father.  He walked through the aberration, knowing it was false and ignoring it completely.  He continued to follow Raven who was chasing her ghosts, completely ignoring the ones that would form around him.  If they came to close he waved them away.  To his surprise, one of them ended up being physical.  He grabbed the spirit but it grabbed him back.  When he tried to move it the ghost flipped him onto his back.  Domarus grit his teeth and began using techniques to knock the ghost off, which he had.  He stood up over the spirit and struck it hard in the head..  but it was gone and his hand hit the ground.  Domarus growled and pushed forward, tired of this game and it's mind tricks.

  2. As Domarus walked through the forest, Rhozarth continued to scout.  He then saw movement from the corner of it's eye and looked down to see Hestia moving through the forest towards the group.  Rhozarth gave out a cry to alert Domarus to her presence before entering a dive towards Hestia.  Domarus turned just in time to see Rhozarth diving towards Hestia.
        "Pávo Rhozarth!"  The fiery dragon came to a halt only a foot above her and stared at her.  He wanted to rip something to shreds and was getting more impatient than Domarus was right now.  The flaming dragon flew back to Domarus.  Domarus watched as the creature landed on his shoulder and turned to look at Hestia.

    "What are you doing on this floor?"  This was going to end very badly either way so he figured might as well get it over with.  There was no one else with her save for Porvós who was in the shadows.  The serpent shot off like a dart however when it saw Keres, who smiled and giggled as the fire serpent slithered up and coiled around her as per usual when they were together.  Domarus spotted another material and added it to his inventory while he stared at her through his visor.

  3. Keres, Raven, Embers.  They were the only ones active who were on his side.  Or at least, the only ones useful enough to have on the front lines one day in public.  Save for Keres, she was going nowhere near the front lines.  Never.  If Esther was still active he'd keep her from it too.  Though he doubted he'd ever see her again.  Mari vanished as well, probably because her potions became useless.  At any rate things were going to be getting interesting.  He was finding out who to count on and who to just leave behind as a follower.  Hestia however..  He nearly snapped again.  Why does everything have to redirect to that stupid girl?!  She was at the core of his issues.  She was the problem he had to solve.  If Raven didn't exist this would be so easy to handle.  He pulled out his ax and sliced a tree down as he walked, getting really tired of this.  The tree fell and crashed down onto the ground as he sheathed his ax again.  Rhozarth heard the sound but didn't bother doing anything or changing his course.  He knew his master was releasing some unwanted stress was all.  As he walked he spotted a material and picked it up, adding it to his inventory.

  4. He recalled how Hestia was moving against him and everything he stood for, every plan of his at risk because of her.  If she found out about the guild alliance then that would certainly be an issue.  He needed a way to keep her from slandering his name, or make his job of absorbing them any difficult than it would be when she did inevitably find out.  It was very frustrating.  She and he were a lot alike.  Stubborn, persistent.  Strong.  They had their own views of right and wrong and refused to change that outlook.  They both had parents who raised them a very specific way.  Taught them to believe one thing and one thing alone.  He was good with words and so was she.  She was observant as he was.  They both got angered easily through trigger words.  Then the rest of it were opposites.  Their beliefs, familiars, friends, methods.  All polar opposites.  Made things interesting though.  Did Domarus hate her because she was ruining his plans?  Or did he hate her because she reminded him so much of his father.  He saw himself whenever he faced her, and thus was forced to face what his father made him into every day.  Ignorance was bliss...  If Domarus hadn't known what the world truly was like what would he have done?  He didn't know and he didn't care.  You made me a demon he thought.  Took one to make one.  But you did.  And now?  This demon is going to conquer the world.  And I will not let one foolish suicidal girl stand in my way.

  5. Keres began laughing at Hestia's outburst, and laughed harder every time she mentioned how she wasn't like him, or how she hated him.  She laughed for a while, even a little after she finished.  Keres wiped some tears off her face before speaking.

    "You keep trying to convince me otherwise, but every time you open your mouth you remind me more and more of him.  You have to remember that I know a lot more about him than you do.  That, and you have such a biased opinion against him that you can't see two feet in front of you when his name is mentioned.  You don't even realize just how hypocritical you are.  You only know what others tell you oh gosh it's hilarious!"  When Hestia asked Keres if she wanted some tea she held a finger up as she leaned against her knees, still giggling uncontrollably.  When she calmed down she shook her head.

    "I don't drink tea, I prefer chocolate milk if you don't mind.  And if it's on you I don't mind going somewhere to drink."  Then Hestia went on still about his anger issues and what he could have tried to do in the real world.  She scoffed.

    "And let the world know just how serious his issue is?  Let the psychiatrist find out about his massive scheme?  You really don't get it do you?  He can't let that information leak, at least not in that way.  He plans to make more allies, more friends, then once he has their trust share with them that he does in fact have anger issues.  But he won't reveal just how serious they are.  I'm for his serious rage moments, and the rest of the time is against monsters and bosses.  Maybe a pker if he's pissed enough.  He shows that he has some control over it however, so that it's not 'serious'.  You see what I mean?  He can't because otherwise everything he's worked for is weakened."  At the mention of her parents she turned from the grinning demon to sheer annoyance and rolled her eyes as she walked over to the counter, grabbing one of Domarus' whiskeys.

    "Opposite.  I'm glad I left them for Domarus."

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         "You know I have the silver set for public,"  he said in regards to how people saw him.

    "This is meant to intimidate foes.  Mainly whoever I target.  It's my hope that everyone knows me as the silver knight, and the black armor can be another persona of mine.  Either that or I just use it against pkers in the shadows."  When he heard what she said about her father he rolled his eyes under the helmet.

    "Sounds like your father mirrored mine, much like how your sister mirrors me.  Same tactic and personality, different beliefs.  That tends to be the way of the world eh?  If you believe something you raise your child in a way where they believe it like it's gospel no matter what, preventing them from making their own choices or decisions.  Always believing that their little daddy was right and no one could change that fact.  Of course, a terrorist could take my father hostage and torture him for information before killing him.  And I wouldn't care...  Well I suppose I'd care a little.  He did teach me how corrupt this world was.  How unforgiving and unforgivable it was.  When you think about it Raven, your sister and I are mirrored.  We are similar, if not alike in many ways save for our beliefs."

    @Hestia

  6. He wondered if he could find a way to contact Kayaba or Cardinal directly, convince them to increase the out of combat healing mechanism.  Mainly because it would save him time rather than keep him alive.  This was nothing but annoyance at this point.  At any rate he moved through the forest, continuing to look for materials.  He wanted to get stronger, so perhaps these items he was collecting off of monsters could be identified to have unique enhancements.  If he gained one, he could always upgrade it from rare to perfect via essence of steel.  It was his goal to be fully equipped with unique enhancements before long.  The hard part was staying updated to the tiers.  Once they hit tier four he'd need to grind hard in order to collect appropriate gear and stay ahead of everyone else.  He preferred damage over anything else, so if it was an enhancement he didn't prefer he would probably just store it until he found something of use.  Once he had a unique enhancement or two, or even a demonic, then he'd start giving the other uniques over to his guild mates.  Particularly those fighting on the front lines.  Then they could start participating for real.  In the meantime, he wanted that guild hall and fast.  Once that happened...  Well.  It was only a matter of time.  Once again he saw no materials...  Typical.

  7. She listened to Hestia talk and shook her head.

    "If you refuse to forgive him because of that, then you really are like Domarus, whether you admit it or not.  You two are very much alike in just about every way save for your opinions on manipulation and deception.  And is that so?  They weren't supposed to ditch their stealth to talk with you.  He must have felt it was important.  We didn't save them from those killers just because after all.  He has a job to do."
    Keres let Hestia finish talking before replying.  She giggled at when Hestia mentioned a psychological problem.

    "Guilty as charged Ember~  Domarus had a hard childhood, and he doesn't know any other way to handle his anger and rage.  At the same time however, no one in his mission would be qualified to help him through his trauma, and thus no one truly knows his pain.  I provide an outlet so he doesn't have to attack others, but.  As you've seen first hand.  If you piss him off enough I'm not really useful as said outlet.  He's only been getting worse by the way, since you decided to be a thorn in his side.  I thank you for that, though I wish this stupid game would let me feel his wrath rather than just him release it.  It sucks."  Porvós flicked it's tongue out at Hestia, brushing her cheek for a moment.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         "Not everyone has decimated two player killer guilds and arrested ten publicly though.  You have to remember that I've hit them hard thrice now.  At this point I'm sure even Laughing Coffin is looking at me curiously.  That and the psycho kid we have imprisoned?  Two more like him with their own guild.  I killed the ones who made them like that.  If that doesn't make me a target what will?"  When Raven continued he was silent for the most part.  She was fine with grinding so he could get some more of his frustrations out.  He should be gathering materials but with what happened recently he needed to vent.  That and he was too stressed with this situation to craft for other players.  Perhaps later once things were more in control, but not right now.  When she talked about her intelligence and her sister he shook his head.

    "Pride isn't always a bad thing Raven.  You are a very fast learner, and you are more open to other's opinions.  Your sister is choosing to believe her belief is the only one.  I believe there are many, but only a few that work.  Every method has a negative result, there is no paradise path to follow.  You understand this.  You even accept me for what I am.  You are quickly mastering many skills and learning the psychological and philosophical side of things very quickly.  Think back and try to remember when we first met, then compare yourself to now.  Am I wrong?"

    @Hestia

  8. Keres giggled and bowed slightly with a smile.

    "I agree it wasn't the best of first impressions, but perhaps we could move forward from that point?  It doesn't bode well to dwell in the past after all,"  Keres said with a wink.  She said first impression because it was the first time Hestia had seen Domarus in his true nature and not his facade.

    "That and people do nasty things when they are stressed, scared or angry.  Domarus was all of the above that day so you can't blame him for, ah, snapping."  When Hestia mentioned someone else coming to her about her attitude towards situations she just smiled steadily.

    "If people besides Domarus and I are telling you the same thing, or at least something similar, shouldn't you take time to clear your mind and think about what's being said?  What if it was your friend Itzal telling you this?  Would you listen?  Or would you shove it off because of your own personal agenda against us?  I know you hate him, and me as much as he.  But you have to understand he's not everything you make him out to be.  I feel the need to remind you that I had to beg him to make me his servant, not the other way around."  She walked up close to Hestia, her face only half an inch from Hestia's.

    "He needed someone to vent on, and I needed someone to punish me.  It was mutually beneficial and it took a full day of begging to convince him.  I never once let him go and my grades had suffered greatly for it.  Only at the end of the day, after school when it was dark, did he accept my offer.  And the rules he put in place were to protect me.  And we've been friends ever since.  I'm not skilled in deception so look in my eyes.  Am I lying Embers?"

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Domarus sighed when she switched like that and kept in pace with her.

    "The plan was to go to a higher floor to grind mobs and gather col but that can change if you wish.  And don't do that.  One servant is more than enough, I sure as hell don't need another robotic servant.  Even if it is for a day because you're mad at me."  He did not have the time to put up with this right now.

    "Your not a slave or servant, you are my apprentice.  On the whole you are allowed to do as you wish, but I'm putting this one rule in place until I've figured a way to regain control of the situation.  With Hestia being a grave issue I can't have you interacting with her or her allies for a bit.  And with me publicly against pking guilds now it makes anyone close to me a target.  Therefore any member of my guild, or those found with me.  I can't protect you if you're off on your own.  Therefore, until we have this figured out, I ask that you trust me and follow this one rule.  You're very intelligent and powerful, and a powerful asset.  I can't afford to lose you."

    @Hestia

  9. Domarus took a breath as he continued to search.  He decided to go over one more time what was currently happening and how to handle the situation.  His guild and the Guardians of the Dawn were planning to make an alliance.  The guilds would be spending time together via col grinding for their guild halls, which would hopefully strengthen the bonds between players and guilds.  It was his end goal to absorb their guild into his, making his forces stronger still.  Of course the main issue here was how was he going to convince them they needed him when they had more players than he did?  Hopefully their alliance would draw more players into his guild.  The only issue with this arrangement was if Hestia discovered it she may try doing something about it.  Then there was his guild.  The only member active and strong enough was also wild and uncontrollable.  She was unpredictable and it was very irritating.  The others were either inactive or too weak.  He needed to up his game drastically.  Domarus had to go recruiting again...  There was also his spy network which was perfect to a p.  He was always kept up to date and they kept tabs on everyone.  Finally there was Hestia and her sister.  Raven was an important asset but her relationship with Hestia made things very difficult.  He should do his best to avoid that woman in the meantime, and just focus on his master plan.  Once again he saw no materials, despite the LD boost.

  10. With the monsters destroyed and him having to wait a while until his health was recovered, he figured he may as well walk around the forest so Raven could look for the ghosts she wanted to come and see.  He had the survival skill which was speeding up his regeneration by just a fraction, but it really wasn't much at all.  He was really pissed off by how long he had to wait.  Most games didn't have a wait time this long and it made grinding very very tedious.  He needed to get battle healing once his damage and armor was maxed out.  Domarus began to walk through the forest, and snapped his fingers.  When he did Rhozarth began to fly ahead, scouting the road for enemies he needed to avoid until ready.  Domarus of course found no materials as he had no skills or anything else of the sort.  He sighed as he opened his menu and switched his energy gathering item with bonus LD.  He needed materials for when he had to craft, and hopefully he'd catch up with the rest of the orders.

  11. While Keres was busy talking with Raven Domarus continued to attack the monsters.  When he released his sword art again he decimated their health, destroying them while they had just managed to knock his health down to nearly halfway.  This floor was most certainly his grinding spot.  Raven wanted to come here to visit the forest but he was here for the grinding.  He needed that guild hall so he needed to grind the hell out of these monsters if he was to get the necessary col.  When he destroyed the monsters he received a total of three thousand six hundred col.  Not much if he was honest, but it was only from three monsters.  He'd soon grind more out before the day was done.  But first he needed to regenerate his health, which could take some time.  A lot actually.  He needed to get some healing potions with little to no cost.  Hopefully these consumables would be such a thing.  In the meantime he'd look around for some materials in the meantime.  Perhaps he could order some items for the up coming boss fight.  He needed to be fully prepared...

  12. Domarus walked the floor in his silver armor, with Raven at his side along with Keres.  He was perfectly calm now that he had some time to cool off in the shop, and was able to sleep some of it off.  He still hated Hestia but that was brought into a controlled fire rather than a wild and raging one.  He could tell Raven was upset with him 'grounding' her essentially, but given the circumstances he knew she had to understand.  Everything he had put effort into, his entire future was at risk.  Not Aincrad of course, he didn't give a sh*t about what happened here.  He was more concerned if Hestia would make efforts to find Domarus in the real world and expose him there.  It would be difficult of course but he disliked chances regardless.  The part of him wanting Hestia dead was also something that probably made Raven upset.  Keres had talked with her earlier today before Domarus woke up.  He slept in that morning due to a lack of sleep from...  Well a lot of things, mainly being rage, frustration, confusion, and just drinking an alcoholic drink that could never make him drunk one way or another.  He was hoping Keres was talking to Raven about him and the situation, hopefully loosening the anger she may have had towards him a bit.  Domarus spotted some monsters approaching and drew his ax, activating charge and decimating their health while two scored a critical against him.  That was fine with him.  His mitigation and health were high after all, and they were almost dead.

  13. Keres heard the door open up and turned to see Hestia walk in.  Porvós was curled around her neck but upon entry the serpent quickly shot off, surprising even Keres with his speed, and curled up her leg and wrapped around her torso neck and arms as usual.  Keres giggled when he did and stroked his head.

    "Aww, I missed you too Porvós.  I'll get you some food in a second, don't you worry~"  She then turned to Hestia who clearly despised her and this place.

    "Hey there Ember.  Might I ask why you're here?  Not that it isn't a pleasure to see you.  It's fun seeing you get emotional, and seeing that rage in your eyes tell me today is gonna be a really fun day~"

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Domarus' eyes narrowed under the helmet when she spoke.

    "I don't care to hear sh*t from anyone Raven, yet I have to anyway.  And I can't hate you because you're a very valuable asset, and you aren't the cause of this.  Its your sister.  It's always your d**n sister.  I swear, there better be a time where she sacrifices herself in a floor boss and fixes every problem then and there."  The reward menu popped up to tell him what he gained but he waved it away, too frustrated to care.  And besides he needed to do the quest twice to make his unique enhancement worth it, not one time.  He'd probably do it with Embers next though.  He was of course directing his thoughts away from what Raven said though he didn't realize it, and it was clear he would never realize or admit it in the state he was currently in.  Perhaps once calmed down he could be reasoned with, but as of right now he was a conduit of malice.  Even Rhozarth was appearing twitchy, wanting to attack something at this point to keep himself busy.  Domarus turned to Raven again, who seemed to move past the stage of fear of being attacked.

    "No going off on your own anymore.  You want to be with others?  I have to be there.  I want you by my side at every minute of the day until this matter is resolved.  Only Exceptions are if you go with Keres.  Do I make myself clear?"

    @Hestia

  14. Domarus noted from the way Stryder looked at him and the way he spoke, that he was at least a little bit suspicious of Domarus.  No worries, that would be quelled eventually.  Especially when he began hearing all of the rumors of him and his guild.  Most of the rumors were of him helping people on a personal level across the floors. From floor one to floor nine he was very well known as a very nice, kind and honorable man who would help anyone if they need it.  As well as a strong warrior and protector who wouldn't hesitate to take down an enemy threatening or bullying other's lives.  On floor ten and above he was simply known as a strong warrior.  If players listened carefully they would hear the occasional rumor that he had made mistakes in the past, and saw this world as a chance to redeem himself, though not a single rumor shared any hint that these mistakes were crimes like murder, or anything else along those lines.  A rather recent rumor that was exploding around was the one where Domarus had aided one or two players in taking down two player killer guilds, erasing them from Aincrad.  No one had directly asked Domarus just yet so it had yet to be truly confirmed, but the strength of the rumors was strong.  Those rumors combined with Domarus' mastery of deception.  He believed he had the ability to sway Stryder over.  When Stryder mentioned wanting to bring another member he nodded with a smile.

    "I look forward to meeting him then!"

    @Stryder @Eatos

  15. Domarus looked at Raven who was torn between family and friend/mentor.  Who could do nothing to help Domarus in this scenario and could not allow him to kill her sister.  Everything had gone wrong.  He should have just killed the both of them while he had the chance.  But then, it would be entirely difficult to handle if he had rushed it.  He should have known better than to keep notes in this world.  He growled as he drew his massive ax and swung it in a wild wide arc.

    "DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!!!!"  His strike had cleaved several trees off their base and severely damaged three, causing them all to fall, the last three falling slower than the others.  The boss had finally appeared but before it could do anything Domarus had activated charge and thrust his ax forward like a spear, literally blasting through it's chest.  He then turned around and unleashed a hundred strikes on it, each vicious, powerful, and full of pure wrath.  When the boss had shattered he stood there panting, but his rage hadn't fully died down yet.  He wished there was something else he could hack to pieces.  He simply stood there for now, in his black armor.  Menacing, the feeling of wrath and rage just drifting off of him like a dark aura.  He took a long while to calm himself down before he even spoke again.

    "The best solution for me to do right now would be to kill you and your sister and be done with it, but for the life of me I can't touch you.  I would gladly carve your sister in half within a split second myself but you...  You and your sister have been more trouble than I could have ever anticipated Raven.  You two are ruining everything.  I don't have it in me to hate you Raven, but I hate your sister.  I despise her.  And someday soon, she will feel my wrath.  Whether it's in death, or damnation on earth."  He sheathed his massive ax and tightened his fist in frustration.

    "You are going to stay directly by my side from this point forward.  No spending time with Embers, no going off on your own.  You stay with me until we find a way out of this pit your sister has dug the three of us into.  Understood?"  In truth he didn't want to have to be so strict with her.  If Domarus' mother were alive he'd want to be with her.  However he really didn't have any other options.

  16. The figure was watching but would make no move or response.  Porvós however would slither up Hestia's leg and wrap around her shoulders like a scarf.  His fiery body would seep it's warmth into her if she was a bit chilly, and it kind of hugged her as a thank you for returning to Keres.  The figure would be following her without being detected of course, though if Hestia and Keres knew he was there, and they both knew Hestia knew.  Then they may tell him to just stop hiding and walk with them.  Then again he hoped they didn't, as he wanted Hestia to be focused on Keres.

    Who was in Domarus' shop keeping the place tidy.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Domarus listened as Raven continued to fight against him, stating that Hestia would not rest until he was brought down.  She stated how she wasn't sure if she could convince her, but when she ended made it sound impossible to change her mind.  Yet...  Something was off.  There was something she wasn't telling him.  The last time they had talked Hestia had seemed rather angry, yet compliant.  Raven knew her sister, but the game had changed her, that much was certain.  So why was she so certain now of all times that her sister would never back down?  Not even a little bit.

    "...Your hiding something from me.  Have you talked with her without my knowing Raven?"  He waited for a response before he continued.

    "If you cannot promise to try and make her back down, then she'll have to die.  There's no other way from what you've described.  A death can be staged, made into a show that makes them appear however way I want.  I don't want this, but since you are clearly unable to control your sister, her sentence unfortunately has been decided.  If you are having second thoughts however, I'm all for an alternate solution that leads me towards victory without her being an issue whatsoever.  I'm sorry Raven, but that's what it's come to."

    @Hestia

  17. The boy sighed as she showed how passionately she hated him for what he did.
         "You're missing what I'm saying.  I know you hate what he 'does'.  From what I'm hearing though I don't think you've realized it yet...  Listen, Hestia.  And don't diss or dismiss my words because I work for him.  This is me talking, not some puppet.  Put off the whole plan against him and his plans for a little, and hear me out.  Don't throw a hissie fit again just listen.  He's not going anywhere now is he?  At the same time, he's not able to do much in this world.  His plans and end goals require him to avoid deaths in general, which means no one will get hurt.  In fact, he protects people from the real murderers.  Regardless of if he sets it up or not.  He's only gaining power in Aincrad so that he can help us get out faster.  He wants to go to the real world.  To go home.  Which means that you really don't have to rush yourself so much.  Imprisoning him in this world will accomplish nothing.  You'd need to focus on the real world.
         "While you're here however.  Please consider this:  Put off attacking him as you have time.  Instead I encourage you to try to at least be neutral to him.  Silence your anger against what he's doing and observe him as an individual.  Everyone cares about someone else, even if they don't show it.  Everyone feels love even if they don't realize it.  Everyone has a light, and a soft spot.  No matter how evil they may seem.  I would of course start with spending some time with Keres, as she's not all she appears to be.  If not for her or yourself, then for Porvós.  He misses his mistress since he has to watch you at all times due to your bitterness, hatred and grudge against Domarus and anyone he cares about.  Don't let your anger, biased thinking and pain of your past blind you from the goodness of others.  Otherwise, how are you any better than the rest of this miserable world?"

    He stood up and walked into the shadows, activating his stealth and vanishing from her sight and detection.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         "Raven don't be a fool, I know you're better than that.  You know I don't mean that kind of conquest.  In this life the only way to move forward is through battle and conflict of one sort or another.  Debating is one form.  Underhand tactics like bribing, stealing, blackmailing are others.  Physical and violent confrontations are of course another one.  My method however brings about the least amount of violence and you know this.  The only violence is when I protect my followers.  The two player killing guilds are a perfect example of this.  And Raven, I am corrupt in my own way.  Due to my upbringing, I don't feel anything towards others...  Well, I don't feel anything towards most  people.  And you may think I don't have the means to kill your sister off, but again:  You don't know just how powerful manipulation can be once you've mastered it entirely, though I'd rather avoid bloodshed of any sort.  And I don't care if you think you can convince her or not, you must do so.  If you want to keep things from getting violent it is the only way we can go about it.  I can help where needed, but I will never stop my progress and will continue to advance in my plans regardless.  Anything short of that I cannot do."  He stopped and squatted to her level with a sigh, placing the black metal hand onto her shoulder and looking at her through the red visor.

    "Raven, I know you understand my side of things.  This is all I know.  You could say that I'm the monster the world created out of all it's darkness, corruption, pain and suffering.  I've accepted this and intend to use it to end the world's corruption in my own way.  Nothing is going to stop me.  If you do not hate me, then please work with me.  All I ask is that you aid me in swaying your sister from this suicidal road she's taken."

    @Hestia

  18. The kid heard her ask him what it is he wanted to know.  She didn't seem to be easing up though, especially where he sat down and she seemed to refuse to do so.  It was her business though and he wasn't one to rush or force others.  Then he heard her next questions and smiled.

    "I'll share mine after answering yours.  Domarus hired us because we are possibly the best stealth players in Aincrad other than Hikoru.  We make the best spies because of this so we keep him informed by tailing important individuals.  In your case, we've been taking shifts watching you to ensure you don't spill any information.  Unlike Porvós we can communicate to him exactly what you've been saying and doing.  As for why I accepted?"  He chuckled.

    "Multiple reasons.  One is that he has offered protection, and proven that he can give it.  I was actually saved by his hand when a player killer tried to take me out.  Now whenever I'm being attacked I just tell them who I work for and they leave me alone, unless it's someone high like a laughing coffin member.  But it's only a matter of time really.  Another reason is working with Domarus keeps us afloat.  He gives us the col and supplies we need to survive without drawing in too much attention.  Finally, there is the personal reasons.  Domarus may not show that he cares for anyone, or even realize it himself.  But I believe that deep inside he actually does.  I believe he is actually trying to make the world a better place.  And from what I've seen in my life?  Deception and manipulation is an effective way to do so.  So I suppose my question for you Hestia, is this:  Why do you hate Domarus?  What about him, the person himself.  Not his actions.  Do you hate?  What drives to you destroy his life and his dreams so much?  and have you thought about what you would be doing to those close to him if you succeed?"

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Domarus heard her question and grinned knowing that she was learning quickly.  However she was still a novice with him being the master.

    "That is explained further down your training.  Once you're ready and willing to lead forces in our conquest, then I'll share with you the resources we have.  Just know that after Porvós warned me the first time, I latched a..  Second pair of eyes on her from that point forward.  Eyes that can speak."  Hearing her words, a lot of it was in a positive light but a lot of it was also neutral.  It was a good way of stating most of the truth, but not all of it.  Domarus was thus just a little suspicious of her because of this.  When she finished he stopped outside the boss' cave and turned to face her, the red glow of his visor flashing suddenly.

    "Then listen carefully.  You need to convince your sister to stop attacking me in any way, and end her foolish attempts to end my conquest.  I'm giving you this one last warning in advance:  If there is another close call again, she will be taken out.  I cannot have this threat in my hands now, especially with the Guardians of the Dawn making an alliance with our guild.  The last thing I need is your sister giving them a warning, or any reason to avoid me.  It's going to take effort to convince them to merge with us, but it's nothing I can't handle so long as she's out of the way.  Raven.  Do you.  Understand?  And do you promise to change her mind?"

    @Hestia

  19. Domarus looked at Embers when she asked him what his plans were with the kid.

    "The main goal is to eventually absorb their guild into my own while making them stronger in the process.  When that happens I'll have a decently sized guild and will be able to attract more players.  What makes it easier is that her guild members seem to be all too easy to manipulate, making them the perfect puppets.  In addition to that, Eatos is a clever player indeed, so if I could win her over she would be a decent asset."  When Embers asked that they move on and go face the boss he chuckled and nodded.

    "The boss itself won't satisfy, but if we move to a higher floor afterwards, we could very easily face some leveled monsters and gather more col."  Then she asked him a different question.  Was he going to screw the kid.  He looked at her curiously.  Despite Embers claiming she didn't care one way or the other, he felt there was something more to this than met the eye.  He was going to need to talk with Eatos, try to dig to the bottom of it.  In the meantime..
         "
    If by screw her you mean using her skills and resources to my own means then yes.  If you mean leave her in the dirt when I'm done, then no."  It wasn't long before they reached the boss' lair, and the boss emerged.  Domarus gestured for Embers to attack it.

    "I could probably one shot it, so you go ahead and decimate it.  I know you want to hit something,"  he said with a chuckle.

    Domarus:  800/800  -  80/80  -  15-19 dmg  -  54 mit  -  2 recovery
    @Embers :  ???/???  -  ??/??

    Boss:  250/250 HP  -  160 dmg (deals minimum of 24 regardless of MIT)

  20. As the boy expected, Hestia was on full defense.  From what she was spouting out it seemed she believed he was here to kill, torture her or something.  He held a sad smile and took his hood off.

    "From what I know of you Hestia, you wouldn't kill anyone.  And with the threat of torture gone, that's the only real threat you can hold on me.  We both know who my employer is, but you have the wrong idea if you believe me to be an assassin.  My group and I?  Just petty thievery and spying to survive.  None of us were fighters at heart, so we can't help on the front lines.  The only reason I'm not hiding right now is because I actually had some questions of my own."  Hestia would see that he somewhere in his late teens.  Not young but not a full adult either.  The boy was calm and sounded very friendly, honest.  In fact it may seem odd that he was working for Domarus in the first place.  He walked past her, no weapon on him whatsoever, and sat down on a nearby log, nodding at her familiar with a smile.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    He heard her words, and it was clear that she wouldn't get what she wanted.  She'd probably feel horrible talking to her sister trying to persuade her from doing anything against Domarus.  However...

    "Raven listen.  I'm telling the truth when I say that I dislike this situation as much as you do.  I hate your sister for making my work this much harder, and would like to avoid anything messy if possible.  I also hate to see you go through this.  However you must understand that for me?  In this life there is nothing but my one goal.  I'm investing my entire life into this and I'm not going to give that much investment up.  Never.  You don't want her dead?  You don't want to slander her name?  Then figure, out, a way to convince her to stop.  Otherwise, despite our feelings, I will use every resource at my disposal to put her down, one way or another.  Do you understand this?"  He let her answer and went silent for a moment.  After a while he asked her another question:

    "Raven.  Do you hate me?  Do you hate what I do?  And why do you choose to follow me?"  He watched her and listened to her very carefully, looking for any sign that she was lying or hiding some of the truth.

    @Hestia

  21. The black cloaked figure stalked through the shadows of this floor in complete and utter silence.  He was part of a group of players made up of rogues:  Thieves, informants, spies, etc.  They weren't an official guild as that would draw far too much attention, but they pretty much were a guild unofficially.  This group prided themselves on their mastery of stealth.  The only one greater than them would be Hikoru, but that was only because he had the unique skill Shadowed Path.  For some reason the man decided to use it to fight on the frontlines.  They could never figure the guy out.  If he wasn't so blank faced all the time, his history easier to decipher, and his personality so random and fickle, they would have attempted to persuade him to join them long ago.  All they did was steal and spy really, never kill.  In the world of Aincrad, they saw nothing wrong with that.  His assignment lately had been tailing Hestia and keeping an eye on her.  Sometimes they changed shifts to keep people from getting bored.  Normally they were to avoid being detected by her but...  His curiosity was too strong.  He needed to know.  So he walked out of the shadows, his stealth vanishing instantly.

    "There are lots of people who should be avoided.  But then, there are equally as many people who seem like they should be avoided, even though they mean no harm."

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Domarus stood in his black armor.  He didn't need energy regeneration enhancements for this fight as it was against a single target and really easy to kill.  His face wasn't showing either, hidden under the black helmet and glowing red visor.  When wearing this armor he refused to go without the entire set.  It ruined the effect when he did.  He saw Raven approach at last, Rhozarth looking at her as she approached.  He noted her nervousness and a hundred questions shoved into his mind at once.  Most of them negative.  He needed to approach this slowly of course and determine why she was nervous without directly asking her.

    "Yes.  It's about your sister.  Come, I have to kill a boss so we'll talk on the way."  It wasn't a suggestion, but an order.  When she started walking beside him he would start.

    "Your sister has come dangerously close multiple times to slipping my true personality to someone.  You must understand that anyone she tells is an automatic target for death.  I've been going over possible consequences for her as well but in truth:  I want to avoid any and all of these scenarios.  I cannot have anyone find the truth.  So you have a choice:  Either help me subdue your sister and keep her locked up, telling people a lie about where she went.  Or you convince her to end this attempt of hers once and for all.  Or we kill her, plain as that.  At this point I do not care much so long as she's handled, understood?  I care for you, more so now that you are with me.  However I need to focus on the long run, and your sister is too close to her 'victory' for my comfort."

    @Hestia

  22. Once again the girl fell silent as she slipped into deep thought.  Her mind calculating, thinking, analyzing.  He didn't know what she'd be seeing, though it couldn't be anything bad.  His posture, attitude, tone, even his eyes betrayed none of the person he truly was.  He would seem like an honorable man to most people, wanting nothing but to help others where and when they needed it.  Of course, she could just be seeing what she wanted to see like that obnoxious Hestia had.  If that were the case he needed to persuade her quickly and efficiently..  No that's how he lost Hestia.  He needed to take his time.  He couldn't rush this.  If he did he risked exposing himself to her and her guild.  He'd need to play this carefully.  The first part by giving her no reason to suspect him.  If she made her suspicions open in any way he'd simply use logic to force her into a corner and make a decision:  Act on nothing but feeling and emotion that had no proof it was valid in any way.  Or to accept what her mind and senses were telling her which was that everything Domarus said and did was true. It was nothing more than a game he'd played a million times.  The only reason he failed with Hestia was he had missed one of his journal entries that betrayed his nature.  If her sister hadn't existed he'd simply imprison her or have her tailed.  Or threaten the lives of her guild mates.  With her sister however, it made things a hell of a lot more complicated.
         When Angel leaped onto her lap Domarus laughed a little at her reaction.  Not in a mocking way, more like a friend or average person would at the amusement in the whole thing.  Something else he noted was that Stryder wasn't really doing anything here.  Domarus had officially decided that this wasn't actually his guild.  It was Eatos' guild and he was her general.  Nothing more and nothing less.  Why else would he just let her make all the decisions here.  In Domarus' mind he was here for show, for nothing but an approval stamp.  When she said two hundred thousand he shook his head.

    "No, not two hundred thousand.  Unfortunately one of the rooms is only available with a player killing guild, which we refuse to be.  The cost we need is one hundred and eighty five thousand.  Fifteen hundred col less, but still far more than I currently have."  He listened as she essentially struck a counter proposal.  To begin conducting col raiding sessions and just fighting together to collect col as a group.  He could see what the real purpose behind this whole thing was of course.  Not only was it an excuse to get out of his proposal.  Not only was it a way to delay things so she could think about this more.  It was an alternate way to learn about him, by seeing him and his guild in action.  And she wouldn't be disappointed.  He couldn't bring Embers, that was a fact.  She was too wild and aggressive for something as important as this.  He'd bring the twins and possibly the steampunk player.  He pretended like he was thinking about the proposal for a moment, even though he had made the decision only a few seconds after she proposed it.  He nodded.

    "Sounds fair.  Allows us to get to know each other, and gives me some col grinding partners.  The only other strong member of my guild able to reap a good amount of col is.  Well busy, so I'll be bringing in some newcomers.  They are strong enough to handle the weaker mobs as long as we don't choose a very high floor, but I doubt they'll gather much col."

    @Eatos

  23. Domarus' amber eyes kept calm and cool, almost content like, betraying nothing of the vicious fire that intended to swallow up the entire world and reshape it as he saw fit.  His posture was relaxed as if he were talking with friends, family even, rather than a business partner.  Keres sat as she always did, in a maid like manner.  Rhozarth just rested up above watching them all with prideful eyes.  Eatos kept a passive look but he already knew that she was anything but passive right now, even if she didn't show it.  He saw it moments before, if only a flicker.  That was all he needed.  He knew her mind was acting like a machine right now, gears moving quickly as she processed his words and what they could possibly mean.  She was doubtful.  As everyone was and should be.  Regardless, this woman would fall for his facade like everyone did.  You couldn't suspect someone forever after all.  Especially when they do nothing but good deeds for others.  He saw her soft smile and knew those gears would quicken their pace.  The question was, what was she questioning now?  He didn't know what she was thinking, but the truth was Domarus wouldn't have cut her off.  He wouldn't have done anything to hurt his reputation in any form or any way.  He didn't know what she was questioning, but in the end he didn't need to.  She finally spoke up, stating how he needed financial aid above all else.  Domarus chuckled lightly and shook his head a little, but before he could reply she continued, and he let her.  When she did he nodded.

    "It's a request and nothing more.  You don't have to agree to it.  Should you accept it we'd have everything in the guild hall open and available to you.  While most others would just be given a place to stay, we'd be more than happy to offer the guildhall's unique benefits, as well as help you get your own guild hall of course.  If you are concerned it will take your guild hall longer because of financial issues with this proposal then you don't need to agree to it.  If that's the case we'll do what we can on our end to gather the necessary col."  Suddenly her eyes hardened, her posture stiffened.  Domarus acted like he noticed this but didn't make much out of it.  When really he wondered if she did so out of anger, fear, or just focus.  Regardless of what it was, she spoke again and this time she mentioned something interesting.  When she finished he blinked to seem a bit surprised that this conversation came out of nowhere.

    "Until the guild grows and we gain a treasurer yes.  My col is the only guild col currently:  seventy seven thousand five hundred and sixty eight.  We need one hundred eighty five thousand col to get this guild hall.  Why do you ask?"  ...She's stalling.  Why would she stall for something like this?  What does she need to stall for?  At any rate, she now knows that I'm the only one who's providing for the guild until we get more members, and that all I have is seventy seven thousand five hundred col.

    @Embers

    @Stryder

  24. Domarus watched as Embers appeared at last and he nodded to her in greeting.  When he heard what she had to say, the corner of his mouth tilted upward, mildly amused with her attitude.

    "I'm here for the essence of steel quest.  I recently acquired an item drop with a unique enhancement called blood clot.  Prevents me from receiving the bleed effect.  However it's an uncommon item so I'd like to do this quest twice and upgrade it to perfect.  Once with you since you haven't taken the quest yet, and one with another.  Preferably one from the guardian dawn guild."  Ever since that guild had invited him over to discuss an alliance, he'd been working hard to not only earn their trust, but their favor.  He needed to convince them without the shadow of a doubt, that merging with his guild was what they wanted.  Their main goal was to survive?  To be strong and offer protection for the weak?  He was after the same thing.  Except he had already saved lives by destroying the two dark guilds.

    "And from what you tell me, it sounds like you don't have the survival skill on you."  Domarus didn't either but he had learned to tolerate extreme cold or heat a long time ago.  It was something that he had mastered in the end.  Domarus was wearing his silver armor but kept his helmet off until the fight.  He gestured for her to follow him.

    "Come, the boss is this way.  Once we clear it out we can head to a higher floor and slay a few monsters.  We need col for that guild hall and with the update for AoE energy costs, we should be able to get them far easier than before."

    @Embers

  25. As he had expected there wasn't much of a response out of Hestia.  Well, much reaction that is.  Outwardly of course he would respond as if he were a normal individual, chuckling and nodding to what she said.

    "Agreed.  Make sure you save me a ticket when those concerts are a thing ok?  Anything I can do to help, just let me know.  Though funding will be an issue until we can get our guild hall up and running of course."  When Pinball stated that he was going to go ahead and leave he nodded.

    "Of course Pin.  You stay safe alright?  Maybe we can take on another quest together sometime!"  Domarus watched the two leave and head home.  Pinball was more of a mystery, but Hestia would either be thinking of the frontlines, or him and Raven.  Either way he was going to take Raven and Sakoda on a trip.  He wanted them to meet and to see which one was going to be his true successor.  After all, Sakoda hadn't interacted with many others just yet.  And he needed to see if her wild behavior could be triggered by sources outside himself.
