Crozeph moved back, breathing slowly and his eyes on the wolf in front of him "too strong for me I guess" he said. Crozeph is keeping his calm but his heart is beating fast. The wolf just dealt a good damage to him and it doesn't always sound good in his ears. Crozeph moved forward slowly thinking of something to do to land a blow on it again. He looked intently on it and realizing that it won't move, Crozeph quickly closed in leaving the wolf no time to react. Crozeph slashed at it and pushed it back dealing enough damage to assure himself that he won't lose or worse, die. Crozeph didn't move back after attacking, as if he tries to figure out something to deal with the wolf "time for plan B."

The wolf could smell the fear on the player. It started to run towards the player, ready to attack him with all its strength. The wolf attacked the player pushing it back. The wolf continued attacking him until it successfully hit him. The player moved back bearing the pain much more than he expected and it made the wolf feel strong and superior, seeing the player as a prey ready for the taking.

"I don't know who Yuji is but" Crozeph quickly charged at the bat before it get its distance from them to attack. Crozeph swung his sword upward hitting the bat's body. The bat shriek after getting hit by Crozeph but it also quickly retaliated at him. Crozeph shielded himself from the attack but he doesn't have enough stats to successfully block it sendind him backward and struggling to keep his balance "I hope that this is not a glitch in the system" he said as he looks at the bat "my attack is not enough to take it down" he thought as the bat continues to fly before them.

The bat is almost down and Crozeph just need to land the last hit on it. Crozeph lunged at the bat and ended its life with a single slash but Crozeph hesitated at the last moment "the other bat!" he said. Crozeph got hit by its wings before shattering. Crozeph moved back and eyed the second the bat who is still flying in front of them "that bat flapping its wings is annoying" he said as he points his sword at it.

Crozeph quickly reacted to the wolf bite slashing it to retaliate. Crozeph failed miserably at attacking it, he was still feeling the pain from the wolf bite. "How inconvenient" he said. Crozeph moved back and pointed the sword at the wolf, keeping its distance away from the wolf. He could feel the fear again and now that the night is slowly approaching, Crozeph could only hope for the best to survive with his current set of equipment.

Crozeph looked at the sword as it glows bright and shatters the bat "now that's something" Crozeph looked at his sword and started swinging it "nope, I guess I don't have it yet" he said. Crozeph started to get excited knowing that there's something like it on weapons. "They're closing in fast..." Crozeph's instincts suddenly kicked in "if it was an ambush then there's..." he suddenly saw a bat appear behind Arekkusu "too bad I know something about spawning"  Crozeph rushed towards Arekkusu and spun to his right hitting the bat who was focused on attacking Arekkusu from behind. Crozeph looked at his back and saw that another bat has spawn beside the one he attacked "this is their spawn time" he said. Crozeph pointed his sword at them "I guess they came out earlier than we expected."

Crozeph didn't expect the ambush too but he knew much about how things would go if he won't do anything. "A bat, really convenient at the dark" he said. Crozeph quickly closed in on the bat who was still fixated on Arekkusu. Crozeph jumped hoping to reach the bat before it detects him.

Crozeph jumped high enough to land a hit to the bat but missed hitting its wings "crap I missed on its vital part" he said. Crozeph quickly moved backed and stood a few feet from Arekkusu "an ambush huh? who would've thought they are programmed to do that" he said smiling.

The wolf felt the sting as the player's sword buried in its skin. It started to growl and looked at the player with much more angry eyes. The wolf didn't howl to call the others, it wants it prey for itself. The wolf quickly ran towards the player ignoring his sword that is pointed at it. The wolf jumped and attack the player. The player moved sideways but still his side was caught by the wolf's fangs causing for him to lose his balance for a while and recovering only after moving back.

Crozeph nodded at what Arekkusu said "my sword is not that strong too so I guess we should stay alert." Crozeph calculated the time they have left. They still have enough to reach a town but if they get careless, the worse might come more often than they expected. "There are monsters prowling around" Crozeph said listening to his surroundings "I bet when the sun completely sets they'll come out and attack us" he added. The monsters aren't that many but with Crozeph's current set of equipment might not be enough for an encounter and with what Arekkusu said about his sword, trouble may seem so close to them now.

Crozeph knew that this would happen and he was right. Crozeph quickly pulled out his sword and attacked the wolf on his left. The sword hit the side of the wolf before it could move back making it wince at his attack. "The town is near, I should deal with this before it gets worse" he said. Crozeph maintained a few distance at the monster after attacking it as to not get hit by it again. Crozeph pointed his sword at the wolf and looked around "right now I need to keep my guard up on surprise attacks" he said "I never knew this night could get troublesome."

The wolf didn't waste any time and pounced on the player. The area was a lot darker than before and that gave the wolf an advantage. It quickly wounded the sword hand of the player sending him backward as he tries to prevent further damage to be received. The wolf felt the superiority as it lands the first blow on the player and it seems that it will have a better chance of doing damage.

Crozeph saw Arekkusu's reaction about getting stronger "hey, it's not that you didn't receive it..." he told Arekkusu "the right term for it is you haven't received it yet" he added. Crozeph has been playing games like this ever since he could remember "RPG games require a lot of work to get stronger, it's not just about the numbers or levels" he said "you need the stats and instincts too" he added. Crozeph remembered the days before SAO. He would always die as a beginner on games but soon enough he's already helping other players who are also beginners "once I have the resources and strength I'll be helping others a lot but still..." Crozeph took the last bite out of the bread "I prefer solo play on some floors" he said. Crozeph has been slowly getting the hang of things and soon enough he'll be roaming around the game helping others who are in danger.

Crozeph finally saw a town from afar after walking for a few minutes "finally a town where I can..." Crozeph suddenly saw wolves prowling around a few meters from the town. "Even getting inside the town is a hard work" he said. Crozeph pulled out his sword and walked slowly "one at a time Crozeph" he said to himself. Crozeph knew the danger if he takes on many monsters "there shouldn't be any trouble as long as I can manage to kill the one by one" he thought. It wasn't long until a wolf appeared to his left its red eyes gleaming and glaring at him "this one will be the first victim"

Crozeph smiled at Arekkusu's question "its simple..." Crozeph took a bite out of his bread "...I'm a gamer" he said. Crozeph's life was fine and Arekkusu was right but not having to play the games that looks interesting made him feel empty "when I heard that this is an RPG game I was excited, I mean you get to play real time inside it instead of staring at the computer screen" he said. Crozeph knew that this is by far one of the best he played until the death game started "I guess including death in this game makes it more thrilling to others" he said. Crozeph heard of player killers who enjoys killing the other players who are weak "I just hope I won't get involved with such thrill" he said "the goal is to survive, not enjoy the death it offers" he added.

Night start to fall upon the wide grasslands and one foolish player is still roaming around like he's not afraid of anything "man, I can fool myself that I'm not afraid but..." Crozeph looked around him and saw some monsters spawn a few meters away from him "...there's no way I can't be afraid of those monsters with my current level" Crozeph has grown strong enough to go on higher floors but his equipments are still not enough and most of all, he attacks isolated monsters only. Crozeph continued walking and staying on guard "I need to find a town in here" he said as he walks north.

Crozeph bit some before replying to Arekkusu "it wasn't so bad, I live alone but I have enough friends to keep me company" he said. Crozeph's wasn't good or bad neither. "I moved out of the house when I was 17, I work at a convenient store and..." Crozeph remembered his friend, a girl he met at the store where he works "...a close friend of mine who plays games with me" he added. Crozeph was even surprised that Arekkusu doesn't have that much knowledge on RPG games "she was very nice to me, she even helped me find a nerve gear" he said.

"It's with the starter pack when I first logged in here" he told Arekkusu. Crozeph thought that the bread might heal some health points if he eats it but some players told him that it would just satisfy their hunger inside the game. "Most of MMOs have this kind of food as healing items so it feels kinda weird that it just takes away the hunger we feel" he told him. Crozeph took another bite from his bread again and smiled "I like bread especially the one in the real world..." Crozeph looked at his bread "...someone used to bake bread for me" he said. Crozeph knew that his memories won't change the game but its the only way to keep him going on and aim for the higher floors.

"A cloak as black as a..." Crozeph looked at the uncommon item that is before him "oh well, I'm not that picky on items" Crozeph pressed the "yes" button and continued his way. Crozeph felt relieved at what he obtained from killing the wolf that he encountered a while ago "I almost got owned by that wolf" he thought. Crozeph was grateful that he's still alive, he didn't like the sound of death "it makes me feel scared sometimes" he said. The sun is already setting making the place more darker. "I guess I should make haste to get to a town" Crozeph began to go faster and staying on guard.

Crozeph felt the fangs of the wolf sink in to his arm, he wince but smiled. "That's what fear does puppy" he told the wolf who is now trying to stand up "you'll have enough strength to pay it back, fear means they are a danger to you" he said. Crozeph raised sword and looked at the wolf directly at its eyes "It will end sooner before you know it" he said as he swings the sword down to finish the wolf. Crozeph sheathe his sword after the wolf shattered. Crozeph flexed his hand after killing it "that was really painful" he said. Crozeph heard a sudden beep and saw a loot drop "finally."

The wolf didn't expect  the hit to be really hard. The player stood a few feet away from it, ready to finish it. The wolf didn't like it, it will die without hurting the player. The wolf mustered it's last strength and lunged towards the player. The player raised his sword blocking the wolf as it gnaws at him. The block was successful but still the wolf overpowered him, he wasn't strong enough to block. The player moved back after the wolf bit his arm, it looks like the wolf can still fight.

"Getting frustrated now are we?" Crozeph said as he hears the wolf growl after he dodged it's attack. Crozeph knew that this would be a great chance to deal critical damage. The wolf slowly turned at him and Crozeph knew that it doesn't have much time to ract if he closes in quick. "Aya has been teaching me the kendo lessons she learned and now is the time to use..." Crozeph raised his sword and made a downward slash hitting the wolf in the head and dealing hevy damage. The wolf stumbled down upon receiving the attack he made "that was an effective one" he said but the wolf didn't shatter yet, it still has a few HP "I guess it needs some finishing touches."

Crozeph laughed at what Arekkusu said "of course I won't be clearing it alone" he told him. Crozeph's skills on RPG games has already told him that "that's a mistake I won't make but if I can do some things alone..." Crozeph pulled out his sword "I don't need to trouble others about it" he added. Crozeph continued walking while scanning his inventory "I've eaten two of my bread, I wonder if I can get meat somewhere" he said "I don't think wolf meat taste good." Crozeph has been slowly eating his bread, he tries to save enough col so he can go to a blacksmith and get his weapon crafted "at least I've got something to eat" Crozeph pulled out another one and handed it to Arekkusu "want some?"

It feels the pain again. The wolf's rage is slowly rising after the player anticipated its movements. After recovering from the pain, The wolf slowly moved towards the player. He seems to talk to himself as the wolf looks at him then without a slight hesitation it pounced on the player targeting his shoulder again. The player dodged the attack, it was too simple again and easily anticipated. The wolf let out a growl of frustration never realizing that the player is getting ready for his next attack behind him.

"That howl doesn't sound good" Crozeph said as he gets ready for his attack "it'll attract the other monsters as well" he added. Crozeph knew that he needs to finish this fight before another monster joins the fray. He gripped his sword tight and rushed towards the wolf "it'll try to block my attack..." he thought "...it feels superior now" he added. He was right, the wolf is still standing still in front of him but whether it will block or dodge, Crozeph couldn't tell "let's hope that it won't..." remembered something. As he closes in a few distance, Crozeph saw the minimal movement of the wolf to its right "it will try to move to my..." Crozeph quickly side stepped to his left and anticipated the movement of the wolf making his slash hit its side. The then quickly backed away after getting hit "good thing I saw the movement of its foot" he said to himself.
