  1. Atzo couldn't help but let his face lit up in both joy and relief with her response to his proposal. Then, suddenly, Raina jumped across the table tackling him and knocking his chair backwards. The table fell over as the food and drink fell to the floor, shattering on impact. Small sparkling shards of data danced in the air for a moment. For Atzo it all seemed to move in slow motion, as if he was suspended in time. Her leaping from her chair, the wobble of the table, the warmth of her arms around him as his cloak fell off her due to the sudden movement. The intensity of her colliding with him. He hit the floor with a thud and felt her head on his chest. He smiled and placed his hand on her head. “Of course I will have you, Raina. I would like nothing more in this world” He gave a playful chuckle when she said he was stuck with her. “I wouldn't dream of leaving. I’m fine don't worry” They lay there for a moment, ignoring the world around them. After a moment though, It was pleasant to be able to lay there with her, uncaring about what was going on around them. However all good things must come to an end and Atzo tapped her shoulder. “Let's pay our tab and go to the flower patch there is a very nice one nearby, plus I need some new ingredients” He chuckled. The rain had for the most part subsided and it seemed like it would be a good time to go out and explore. After all to see her sparkle in a flower patch would be absolutely breathtaking.

  2. Atzo listened as Raina challenged his thoughts about Carndel. “Yeah you’re right, the system doesn't have a care in the world for us.” He thought for a moment, she was right, the fact that they had gotten this far was wholly their own achievement, even if the timing seemed strange to him. After all, what were the chances that as soon as he had found his way back to society out of the mountains, the love that he had lost also happened to find him as well? Even if there was nothing at play, it seemed like a strange coincidence to him. Still, that didn't matter.

    The waitress was quick to come back with their food and drink. Atzo took a drink of the coffee, he could feel its warmth crawling down his throat, warming him from the inside out. Raina then put a dollop of cheesecake on his nose. He couldn't help but laugh. “You are lucky your cute” Atzo said with a playful wink before taking a bite of his turnover. It was good, he had to give the game that. When it came to food they did a good job of imitating the taste of actual food. It didn't really matter though, everything seemed to pale in comparison to Raina. She seemed to sparkle in every way. “I am really glad you found me. Would you be willing to move in with me once I have the new house built? You could help me plan it if you want.” After all he could use the benefits of the house to give them both better benefits in combat. “Maybe then we could make things like they used to be, or even better.” He gave an embarrassed chuckle and ran his hand through his hair grabbing his neck as he realized how forward he was being. After all they had just got reconnected, he was afraid he was pushing all of this too fast. After all the last thing he wanted was to push her away.

  3. “I am glad that you did what you could. You know you should take up the performer profession. I am pretty sure you will be able to make songs that you can play in combat to give buffs and debuffs if you do. Combine that with my alchemy and we could have a really solid group of buffs to use as we make our way to the frontlines.” He smiled at her kindly, getting lost in her eyes once more. Atzo nodded at her notion of them being out there for too long, “I would brave the coldest temperatures if it allowed me to be with you. Heck I would walk through the lava in floor 9 if it let me be with you.”
    The waitress came over to take their order, Atzo waited for Raina to finish hers before ordering himself. “I’ll have an irish coffee and a cherry turnover please”

    “I’ll have that right out for you.” the waitress spoke as any NPC, the fake emotions were subtle but still noticeable

    “You know, you can't get drunk in this game, but the taste of Irish whiskey is too good to pass up in my opinion” He said, chuckling to himself. “I just can't get over the fact that we are getting to do this again. Its as if Cardinal decided it was going to do something nice for once. After all it has taken from everyone. I am just so overjoyed to be able to be with you again.”

  4. Atzo was surprised by her sudden eagerness, and laugh. “We wouldn’t want that now would we?” It was easy for him to keep up with her. He remembered back to his constant fight against himself trying to get faster at going between the house and the town. It was always his goal, get a little bit faster. It seemed she was already going towards the cafe which was good. They had the same goal in mind, even now. Atzo assisted her twirl, raising his head to spin her. “I am happy too, after clearing my friends list I was afraid I would come back to find everyone dead. But instead I found you, alive and well. Not only do I get to know that my absence didn't leave with everyone dying I get to see you and be with you again!” At the end of her spin, Atzo brought her in close as they continued to walk to the warm glow of the cafe. As they entered Atzo observed that there weren't that many player or NPC’s here. Nonetheless the waitress was still running to table to table making sure everyone who was there had what they wanted. He couldn't really be surprised, she was an npc after all. The Waitress was wearing a nice yellow sundress, clearly a call to the city’s reputation. If they had been in the real world he would suspect this place was a tourist trap. Atzo lead them to a small table beside the window, and pulled Raina’s seat out for her. He felt a childish want to be chivalrous, he knew it was spur of the moment, and some voice inside him cringed but he didn't care. After she sat down he took the seat across from her.

    @Raina

  5. Atzo smiled and released his grip on her. “Yeah, and now we can be together.” He allowed her to stand up before he got to his feet as well. He wasn't sure how long they had been sitting there. He walked over and picked up the lute, giving it back to her. Not worrying with the fact that she still had his light armour draped over her. “They will be fine.” he said with a slight chuckle. He looked around, finally able to acknowledge the sound of the rain hitting the cobblestone path with a subtle pitter-patter, looking at all of the people who had been watching them. He was not used to making a scene like this but that was not what mattered right now. He took a deep breath and smiled. He always had liked the rain, but now it stood as a different kind of symbol to him. The rain always brought with it something new. Cleaning off the old and ushering the young and lively. He hoped that this floor would soon have more flowers on it after the rain. After all, he did like to come here for the flower patches. Crazy how that want to stop and smell the flowers evolved into this. He got to find his old love once more, and now he wouldn't have to throw it all away. He would be able to accept it. He reached his hand out to Raina. “Come on, lets get somewhere dry” He smiled at her with a joyous bliss. He intended to go to a cafe, that way they could wait out the storm. Maybe afterwards he would take her to look at the flowers. After all, he needed some new materials if he was ever going to open a new shop. This time would be better, he would be better. He made the promise to himself right then, that no matter what he would do everything in his power to be a better person. He would do everything in his power to reject his past and live on in spite of all that he had been through.

  6. Atzo heard what she said but he couldn't help but know she was wrong, his goal was never to be the strongest player. It was to rule over those here. He had wanted to be a king, he had felt that he deserved to be a king. Now he knew how stupid he was. He knew now that power here didn't matter, what mattered was being helpful to those around him. Suddenly his lips met hers. His heart beat as if it was going to explode out of his chest. He felt a feeling unlike anything he had felt before. It felt as though a small fire had been lit inside of him, as though something was waiting for this. It was small but it was there, ready to be kindled. Right then he knew what he had to do. The moment was fleeting as she pulled her lips from his, but the feeling he had was there to stay.

    Atzo held her tighter. “No, don't be sorry. I wanted this too,” He said as the wall around his heart being completely broken. In a single instant Raina had destroyed 21 years worth of regret, pain, and hatred that had encompassed his emotions from his negligent and abusive father, and Atzo’s unwillingness to let others in. “I will never leave again. I won't let go again. I promise” he said, the words no longer being ran through the logical part of his mind. “We can rebuild the house, and live together like we used to. We can be together. I will help you join the frontlines and together we will break out of this game. Nothing will stop us.” He took a deep breath and looked into her eyes, his own eyes full of determination and joy, almost sparklingly so. He flashed back to his time on the mountain, targeting the fear that had built up over the years. Targeting the hatred that had been boiling up beneath him, doing his best to kill those parts of his mind. Funny how not even a year of meditation could do as much as this one encounter with Raina could. His life was going to turn for the better, he fully believed it in his heart.

  7. It took a minute for Atzo to regain his composure. “Yeah, this is real” he said his heart racing and his breathing heavy, still doing his best to keep from breaking down again. He put his hand in her hair as she grabbed onto his chest, carefully holding her head as he held the rest of her with his other hand. “No, it's my fault for not going after you when I got your note. I have held regret for it ever since I made that decision. I was too short sighted, too selfish, too focused on becoming something I have no right to be that I didn't even try to go after you, I never stopped to think about how you might feel.” He couldn't help it anymore, he couldn't hold back his tears no matter how hard he tried. Lightning crackles nearby as they sat there, the hard rock beneath them. “I lost you, I chose not to try to get through to you. I didn't let you see just how much you meant to me… But now I have you” He stopped for a minute as he attempted to continue talking but the words wouldn't come out. It was as if something was blocking his ability to talk. He took a deep breath attempting to regain some small amount of composure. “I don't want this moment to end.” He said not really meaning it to come out of his mouth. He was finally able to be with her again, as if this accursed game had decided to stop playing with him and finally allow him to have something positive happen. Give him something instead of taking everything away like it did so many times before. Without dropping her he shrugged off the Kings Cloth and draped it over her to help keep her from the rain as best he could though at this point they were both already soaked. He didn't really care about it himself. He was filled with an overwhelming urge to protect her and care for her.

  8. Atzo followed Ceres to the outside table. It was a good day for it, the subtle breeze through town and the sun overhead. “You know, about a year ago if you had told me that I would probably have been your number one customer.” He laughed slightly staring off into the distance before snapping back to reality. “Back when I ran the Emerald Harbingers at least. Now I just hope I don’t fall into the same state that I was back then” It wasn’t long after they started talking that the waiter came over. He was about as much of an NPC as you could find. Just an average looking guy that had no real emotions behind the way he talked. Atzo waited for Ceres to finish her order, “I will have a grilled chicken and cheese calzone and a sasparilla” He then handed his menu over to the waiter and turned back to Ceres. The question she posed almost made him laugh. “Well after wiping my friends list and disbanding the Emerald Harbinders guild, I sat on a mountain on floor seven for a year an meditated. My mind isn't where it should have been and I was concerned for the safety of myself and my friends. This is my first time being back in town sense then.” He thought for a moment remembering his time in the peaceful air of the mountains, nothing in the world to bother him. Sitting there just himself in tranquility as he did his best to look inward and conquer his inner demons for a second time. “What about you, what have you been up to recently?”

  9. Atzo did his best to swallow his tears as images flashed through his mind at a lightning pace. He saw himself with her at the center of the town of beginnings encouraging new players to join. Flash. He saw himself doing his best to protect her during the floor three boss fight. Flash. He saw himself walking to the balcony of his old house as she twirled in the foyer, the sunlight light coming from the windows reflecting off her armoured wedding dress creating small dancing lights on the walls. He wanted to cherish that moment, to see her in all of her illustrious glory. As soon as he tried to grab hold of that memory he was ripped away, seeing the fire and brimstone that was his mind at the time, they were flashing faster now. Until he ended up back at this moment.

    After what felt like an eternity, Raina opened her deep crimson eyes. He felt as though he was getting swallowed by them in an instant. Snapping himself out of it, he responded. “Yes, Raina, it's me” He felt her hand touch his cheek and placed his had over hers before pulling her to his chest. It was crazy how much he missed this feeling. He had given up the idea that he would ever have someone who truly cared about him a long time ago, but that wall he had built was broken, shattered into pieces, in that moment. Nothing else mattered to him anymore as the world faded away. It was just the two of them in a sea of empty blackness. Nothing more than him, tears streaming down his face holding her in his arms again for the first time in almost two years. Even though he couldn't hold back the tears he was smiling. It was a smile that had not crossed his face in a very long time, it was genuine and joyful. He finally had a friend back and that was all that mattered.

  10. Almost entranced by the crashing waves, Atzo tuned the rest of the world out as best he could. It was normal for him to live in nature, after all he did it for over a year. Tuning out the rest of the world was just something he did now. It didn't matter what was going on as long as he had nature to guide him. Or at least that was how he justified it. Suddenly Atzo was brought out of his trance-like state. The sound of music was ringing through out over the town. The waves seemed to allow the sound to reverberate off of them, allowing Atzo to become immersed in the tune. Though something caught his attention about it. He knew that voice, he knew who it belonged to. Though he couldn’t put his finger on who it was.

    As Atzo listened completely entranced in the graceful singing, it suddenly stopped. A gorgeous woman stood before him, her figure could drive a sane man crazy. It was someone who he had met before. Suddenly she said his name, and fainted. Atzo stood in a flash to catch her. “RAINA!” he shouted as he caught her. That's right, she was the woman who he let into his life, the one he hadn't heard from in almost two years. The woman who had lived with him for a good while before his house went missing under mysterious circumstances. He had hoped to complete the Making Vows quest with her eventually. That was before he lost her. Now here she was, in her illustrious glory, laying still in his arms. Atzo never wanted this to end. Though he was concerned about Raina’s sudden swooning. At least she hadn’t exploded yet so that was good.

    “Raina, are you okay?” Atzo spoke in a calm yet concerned voice. He was afraid that any minute she would shatter, he was afraid. It was a feeling he hadn't felt in a long time, actual fear. It was almost tangible. There was a tension in the air as Atzo waited for Raina to rise from her faint. He stood, almost able to taste the sorrow that built within him. A tear rolling down his face. This was his fault after all, he left for a year. He left her and everyone else behind. He should have been there for them. ‘I was so selfish, so uncaring for others.’ he thought, another tear rolling down his face. ‘How could I have been so cruel?’

  11. Atzo sat on a bench in the beautiful lakeside Town of Flora on floor three. The Kings Cloth draped over his shoulders, the emerald green cloth shimmering. Atzo admired the shimmer of the lake, the sun was high in the sky. The light seemed to sparkle off the lake, shimmering as the subtle cool breeze brought small waves to the shore. It was peaceful, there was no bustling city here, no need to worry about an npc and no player that Atzo had encountered thus far. It was nice to sit and be at peace for once.

    Atzo thought back to his friends once more, more so thought to the now non-existent guild known as The Emerald Harbingers. He remembered how wrong he had been to assert himself as he did, thinking he was so high and mighty. He really had a warped view of the world back then. Atzo only hoped that he was different now, though he was not sure how much the change would actually affect him. After all, it was hard to change your ways. He shook his head, ‘I shouldn’t be dwelling on the past like this, it can't be healthy’. So he gazed off into the distance, the view familiar yet brand new to him. For once he had decided to enjoy his time, not worried with other people, not worried with the past. It was time he lived in the moment, or as close to in the moment as he could. Still he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was forgetting something, or more so forgetting someone.
    @Raina

  12. It had been a good amount of time sense Atzo closed his eyes. He could feel the subtle icy growth creeping up onto his hands. It didn't feel too cold, his survival skill did a good job of keeping him from feeling too cold or taking cold damage after all. And so he layed in the show, feeling the cool nip of the wind flowing quietly above him; reminiscing on the past. It wasn't long before he realized that he missed the friendships he once built. Thinking back to the three of them, Stryder, Eatos and himself. They really had been a bunch of troublemakers. That was all in the past now though, wasn't it. Atzo knew the likelihood of meeting up with them again was little to none. Not to mention that, while he didn't want to think about it, he couldn't even be sure they were still alive. It dawned on him that he should go to check the memorial stone for names. Though he couldn't be sure of how up to date it was.

    He didn't bother to check how long it had been. Suddenly, he felt something… fluffy one his face. He slowly opened his eyes to see an Arctic Fox brushing past him. It was so unique, Atzo could only think he knew it from somewhere. Instinctively he got up, the fox seemingly was waiting for him to get up and swiftly took off. “So this is a game to you, huh?” Atzo said with a playful glint in his eye. As quick as he could, Atzo geared up and began to chase the fox, his muscle memory proving much more reliable than his actual memory for the layout of the floor.

    Atzo was so focused on catching up to the fox that he didn't pay attention to how long they had been running or where he had been going. Though that didn't last long as a familiar building came into view. As he realized that the building belonged to Eatos. Atzo came to a screeching halt, almost falling over as he did so. He watched as the Fox, which he now believed to be Angel, enter the house. Atzo froze for a moment, his warm, panting breath coming out as clouds. Slowly he approached the house. ‘I am not sure this is a good Idea’ he thought to himself, ‘after all I left her out of nowhere as I did everyone else’ He approached the door, slowly and precisely, almost as if he had large weights on his feet. He raised his had in a fist, The Kings Cloth shimmering with snow. Then, for the first time in almost a year, Atzo knocked on the door of his former friend.

    @Stryder

  13. Atzo watched the man for a moment as he walked away. “Perhaps he is just more content being alone.” He shrugged. Atzo turned back to Ceres. It was interesting to see someone so care-free in this game. Atzo found it somewhat refreshing. All of the negativity could really build up over time. It was, nice to see that there were still people that could be happy. At least she appeared to be so, and for once Atzo figured he would give in to the benefit of the doubt to believe that she wasn’t just putting on a front.

    Atzo thought for a moment, about when the last time he had a Calzone was. It was an infrequent treat that he never really thought about before he was in the game. He was about to respond, then Ceres said something that made him chuckle. “I like you too Ceres, you're pleasant and playful like a young fawn. It is nice to see someone so cheerful. Also, I would guess you are pretty hungry too. Calzones would be wonderful.” The words ‘secret goodness’ echoed in his head for a moment as he thought to all of the horrible things he had done, though he pushed those out. Now was not the time to get down. “I admire you; you seem to know a little bit about everything and everyone here.” Atzo said with a warm smile. “Its not every day you meet someone so knowledgeable.” Atzo did his best to make sure he could keep up with Ceres, her eager walk was faster than he was used to, and he didn’t want to fall behind. It was almost easier for him when she was dragging him along, it made it less likely for him to fall behind

    Something nagged at him, as if he was forgetting something. Something in the back of his mind that he couldn’t seem to figure out. Something important, or rather someone important that he had forgotten about. Though he wasn’t even sure who anymore. Perhaps he would stumble across it at some point but for now he chose to keep focus on what was going on.

    @Ceres

  14. Atzo looked around, this floor really was baron of players. It could even be said of the NPC’s. Atzo didn't mind, he enjoyed being alone. He partially mediated as walked around. It was so peaceful here, the silence was almost tranquel. He realized that he would need to get another house now that his vanished under mysterious circumstances’. He wondered if this would be a good floor to buy one on. After all this floor had everything he enjoyed, save for mountains

    As he meditated and walked a girl with pink hard and pick eyes approached him, she seemed to be wearing fairly casual clothing which Atzo felt was odd. She didn't particularly seem to be of high level, though that was hard to judge off of clothing alone. ‘She seems a little quiet’ he thought to himself as he gave her a soft smile. “Hello, I am doing well how are you doing? No, my apologies, I am not well versed for this floor at all. However if you would like me to walk with you I would be happy to.” Atzo gave a slight gesture that parted his robes as he did so. “I have been wanting to explore higher now that I can actually do some damage in a fight” Atzo chuckled to himself. “Oh I forgot to introduce myself, I am Atzo. It is a pleasure to meet you.”

  15. Atzo looked back to the girl that he had originally intended to walk towards, taking a quick inventory of what she looked like. Suddenly he was being dragged by Ceres. She talked so fast that Atzo had a hard time keeping up. It was a little overwhelming being transferred from the quiet mountain, into whatever this is. Still it was good to be able to look around. Atzo reminisced slightly on the old times. Remembering back to when he was recruiting for the Emerald Harbingers, though he knew the guild was long dead.

    Suddenly Ceres stopped, it took Atzo off guard. Lightly bumping into the girl as he stopped, he thought for a moment about her question. “I guess just something quick. It's been awhile since I was on this floor and would like to explore  a b-” suddenly someone had bumped into him though his stance kept him from falling this time. The man had gotten up mumbled a quick sorry and kept walking. It seemed like there might be something wrong so Atzo turned to him. “Are you alright?” he said a little loud to make sure the man heard him.

    He turned back to Ceres. “Anyways, something quick would be wonderful.” He gave a slight smile, shrugging his shoulders. ‘I cant even think of something to eat. Nothing particularly stands out right now. Strange’

  16. ‘It's a long way down’ Atzo thought as he sat on a rooftop in Yomi. The dead air was something wholly different than any of the floors that he had been to. After all there had not been any real reason for him to venture past the first 9 floors. The soft blue bioluminescent glow that enveloped the town was breathtaking. Atzo stood, admiring the lights, draped in the emerald green Kings Cloth, the Broken crown sitting cocked on his head. The ever circling shadows of Deterioration even seemed diminished in the blue light of the plants. ‘I wonder if the rest of the floors above 10 are like this or if this floor is completely unique.’ It wasn't hard to believe that after you past the introductory portion of the game that things got utterly terrifying like this. Atzo felt surreal when basking in the scenery. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before, something only hinted at in fairy tales.

    Atzo finished observing the scenery and climbed down from the building. Making no attempt to be subtle. He smiled to himself, finally understanding what it meant to relax to some extent. Once he reached the stone ground Atzo began to make his way to the town square. Slowly and methodically, watching as the world around him shifted with the different angles he looked.

    @Jinx

  17. The cold air swirled around Atzo as he slowly walked through the frozen forest to Frostbite Lake. As he walked he watched as the small ice crystals fluttered around him, the soft sunlight reflecting off of every one of them. Atzo wondered if they were all unique in this world as they were the old world. He smiled softly, and knelt down looking at the sparkling, untouched snow in front of him. He was at the edge of the forest now. The Kings Cloth draped around him. The white shimmer of snow accenting the lush emerald greens of his clothing. The Broken Crown sat on his head. Its intricate design lost to him. Atzo looked to the frozen lake, the deep blue of a long deep frost had given it some semblance of life.

     A thought crossed his mind, a long faded memory of Eatos. ‘I wonder what she is doing right now’ He asked himself. ‘Her house is somewhere near here right? Maybe I will stop by… then again I am not sure she would want to see me. It has been so long’ He walked to the tree that they used to talk under and sat against it. The cold here no different than on the mountaintop where he had spent so much time. He smiled to himself as he remembered the long talks they would have and the adventures he went on with Eatos and Stryder. A tear fell down his cheek. ‘I was so naive, wasn't I? Or perhaps I was just a jerk. I hope they dont hate me for the time I was gone, but I wouldn't blame them if they do.’  He looked at the lake, the thoughts of Eatos’ snow fox familiar dancing in his mind. It had been a good run, and Atzo hoped more than anything that both of his old friends had kept up the fight.

    The snow and wind had started picking up, but it was strange. The sky was completely clear, Atzo felt calm and relaxed. Something he hadn't felt in a long time. He remembered a gift that had appeared in his inventory, he wasn't sure where it had exactly came from. He went ahead and used one. After all, they didn't have a description. Then, slowly he let the serenity of the area envelop him as he closed his eyes and rested.

  18. Taking a deliberate and precise step forward off the platform, and observing his surroundings, Atzo began to fall into his old habit. That was what he was good at, watching and waiting. It was clear to him that he needed to be vigilant now more than ever. It was interesting how many people were still about on the first floor… or were they npc's. He had been in his mind so long that he wasn’t as good at picking out the differences as he used to be. Still he was beginning to remember the subtle differences. A repeated like here, an overly expressive look there. It was odd. Then he began to notice other things. People who didn’t act like npc’s. Memories of friends flooded him but he shut them down quickly not wanting to start this off with him immediately jumping back to who he used to be. It took some time for him to move, taking in the architecture of the local buildings, admiring their craftsmanship. He chuckled to himself, ‘throughout all the paranoia I never did stop to smell the flowers, eh?’ he gave a soft sad smile the old sly smirk he used to wear could no longer be found. ‘I really need to upgrade my gear soon' the thought suddenly jump into the front of his mind. He opened his menu, inspecting his gear and level. He was closer to tier two than he originally thought. The a different though popped into his mind ‘when was the last time I had something to eat other then bread?’ he tried to remember the way to a restaurant but it had simply been too long. Looking around slowly, Atzo noticed a girl with purple hair and a cloak. She hadn’t looked like and npc so maybe he was in luck. Slowly he began to walk over to her. Standing up strait as if to look confident but with deliberate steps as if to look cautious. Suddenly at as if out of nowhere, Atzo was thrown to the ground. Another woman had a run into him. It took him a second to realize what is going on. Atzo coughed “Its fine, I should have been paying closer attention" he cleared his throat before standing. The woman who introduced herself as Ceres suddenly placed a flower in his hand. Atzo looked at it for a moment before giving a small smile and looking at the girl. “Thank you,” his voice no longer raspy, though he spoke a little louder than he expected. “My name is Atzo, do you think you could point me to somewhere I can grab a quick bite to eat?”

  19. Atzo sat on top of one of the many mountains. He had been there for some time, meditating. Never once did he check what was going on around him, more absorbed in his mental turmoil than reality. The cold mountain air swept across his face, the frost nipping at his nose. Atzo was unfazed. He sat through snow storms and heavy winds before, sitting and looking inward as he attempted to concour his demons. It wasn’t the first time he had tried but maybe this time he could come out of it with a sound mind and better open up. He was fighting with himself. The fear instilled in him from his life on the other side had finally erupted out of him. Once he had come down from his emotional rage he finally had time to realize what he had become. He decided it was time he figured out who he wanted to be. It was time he waged war with himself.

     He remembered back to when he decided to go on, as he had called it, his little hike. He left it vegue so that no one would be able to come looking for him. As he left the safe zone he opened up his friends list and deleted every last player listed. He didn’t want anyone to come looking for him. Thus he left for the mountains. He avoided all the monsters he found on his trip. This wasn’t about leveling up, no he was on a mission. As he reached the base of the first mountain he thought to himself. ‘Am I sure I want to go through with this?’ Without hesitation he began moving. He knew this needed to happen. And so he climbed, his goal was not to reach the highest point, it would be too easy to find him if he had. His goal was a spot overlooking a valley. He climbed through blizzards and mudslides alike. He lost track of time at some point, not thinking to check his HUD. Atzo was too determined to understand himself.

    It had been a long time now, though Atzo did not know how long exactly. Taking a deep breath he moved from his spot, the frosted clothing crinkling as he began to move. It was time he came back. Slowly he came down the mountain. He wasn’t really sure that he was going the right way, but it didn’t matter. He would either reach a city or reach the edge of the map. A day passed before he found his way to the city, his clothing no longer frozen. The Kings Cloth rustled in the breeze as he teleported from floor 7 to floor 1. Atzo took a deep breath. ‘Lets see just how okay you really are, kid’

  20. Atzo heard Hei’s suggestions but Atzo shook his head. He bent down ready to strike and lunged full force to attack the serpent. Activating <<Fight Blade>> as he did so he watched as the serpent’s health bar dropped to 0 and swiftly shattered. The Serpent gave a loud demonic screech as it died. The sound echoed in the wasteland of a desert around them. “No but now that this is all said and done, I must part ways. I wish the best for you and hope that you consider my requests. You may have the spoils of today’s victory. Best of luck in your future tasks.” Atzo turned and walked away. He was pleased with how this day had gone for the most part. It had been a long day for sure and he needed to think. Perhaps he would spend some time in his study, thinking about what he needed to do in the future.

  21. Atzo walked through the town. He wore a casual smirk-like grin as he walked. He adorned <<The King’s Cloth>>, <<Deterioration>>, and <<The Broken Crown>>, the later of which sat crooked on his head. “So many things to do, so many people to meet. So many minds to pick” He thought as he observes one of the busier streets. He perfectly masked any emotion he didn’t want to show as he walked, having only the nonchalant and relaxed expression showing. He looked into the river, seeing his reflection, though as he looked up from the river he saw someone on a bridge, throwing rocks. Atzo walked quickly but still relaxed to the man. “Hello there, mind if I take a seat next to you?” He paused before introducing himself. “I am Atzo, The Forgotten King and Leader of the Emerald Harbingers. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” beneath the perfect mask of outward emotion, Atzo felt as though he were dead. The part of him he had been trying to kill fighting back, not quite dead yet.

  22. Atzo listened to her concern but he just shook his head. He looked at her, dead in the eyes, his were void of emotions, void of life. “I am completely serious. I don’t want to be normal, I want to be perfect to my standards. My goal isn’t to become what everyone else is. My goal is to learn control over myself. I will achieve my goal, even if the world is falling around me. Even if that requires I torture myself when I fail to do so, engrave in my mind what I need to be, what I need to avoid. I have no reason to be grateful, Eatos. I only have reason to be punished. This is my battle, this is my curse. If you had been through what I have been through, seen what I have seen, felt what I have felt, I am sure you would be the same way to.” Three emotions began to show through the emotionless eyes; hate, anger, and fear. He then broke the gaze and looked to the water. “There is a part of me that needs to die, Eatos.”

  23. Atzo had finished his preparations and was on his way to floor nine. Receiving the message he walked into the shop. He wasn’t hiding the determination in his eyes, the fire that seemed to burn behind it. He was on a mission and it would be carried out. “Thank you for your service” He said in a tense voice before he took the crown and left. Adorning it as he left, breaking back into a sprint. “I have so much more to focus on then staying hidden right now” he thought “I may have broken that barrier but It is one I can easily rebuild should I so need to. For now, I need only to think on how I can fix what I have done and prevent it.” He kept sprinting, weaving through the crowd. He finally reached the teleporter and went to the ninth floor. Where he could finally finish what he had started.

    +Name: The Broken Crown

    Roll: (leave blank)
    Item Type: Trinket (Crown)
    Tier: 1
    Quality: Perfect
    Enhancements: 2 Eva, 1 Keen
    Description: A gold kings crown that seemed to be cracked in many places and tarnished slightly in others. A emerald on the front as the main gem, though there are other gems that go around the crown. Some are empty spots that a gem should be.

  24. Atzo sat in the Emerald Mansion, having finished his preparations for the meeting. He needed to think before hand however. Go through all that had happened to him, understand what it was that had gone wrong and finally kill that part of himself. He could feel the fire behind his eyes as if it were actually there. He locked the front door and took off in a sprint toward the teleporter, The King’s Cloth flowing in the breeze and Deterioration hanging loosely at his side. He had grabbed Misguidance before he left. He knew where he needed to go He had a clear goal in mind. “I have to figure out what has happened. While I can only talk to myself, I only need myself, I have only ever needed myself. I will take care of this one way or another. And I will take care of this myself” He took a deep breath, watching trees turn to town.He first stopped by Domarus' shop to grab his crown. He put it on, slightly tilted on his head. He then ran to the center of the town, stood on the platform and said “Yōgan Village”

  25. Atzo watched as a new player walked past him. “What is he doing on the third floor?” He thought to himself before standing up and following at a safe distance. Once the area was more clear Atzo approached the man. “Hi, I am sorry to bother you, but you seem to be very low leveled. I’d be careful if I were you. If you play to leave the safezone make sure you have a higher level player there to watch your back.” Atzo then held his hand out to the man. “I am Atzo, The Forgotten King and Leader of the Emerald Harbingers. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance . If you need anything please let me know.” Atzo wore a casual, smirk-like grin. His true emotions completely hidden from view. Only letting this man see what Atzo wanted him to see. While his intentions were genuine he wouldn’t show it on a whim. Not anymore. “I will not let that happen to me again, I need to keep myself locked up once again. Go back to the way I was before.” He thought to himself “I know I can do it, it is the easiest thing I have ever done”
