[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 4: Kiyabu Hisao vs Vigilon
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
The floor was strange, devoid of human life, permanently overcast or stormy...not to mention it reeked of Abyssal Eldritch activity. There was no crowd of NPCs, just an unknown entity that none with a sane mind would dare acknowledge, watching the small little players that served as a reminder of what once was in this desolate, forgotten realm... Vigilon felt a presence bearing down on him as he neared the location of the arena. By the time he entered the ring, it felt like an inescapable gaze. "Don't look up." He thought, feeling the gaze more then ever. "Just, don't look up..." He -
[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
Why, why was it all happening like this? What kind of opponent was he dealing with here? Was he experiencing an actual nightmare this time, despite what last week had felt like? Was this all just one big nightmare? No, no! It can't end like this! Vigilon shook his head, his HP was already in the red but he was unwilling to accept defeat so easily. If Acanthus wanted to win, she'd have to knock his lights out for it. He had one last hope. He readied his focus, and he prepared one last charge. This was his only opportunity, he wouldn't get a chance like this again. His sword glowed as the system -

Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
Vigilon had to stay on his feet, or he'd miss his chance. He saw the mark noting the availability of his strongest attack, so he'd need to make sure he wouldn't find himself lacking. Avie quickly made her way over to him with all due haste, before unleashing the Dagger Variant of Blazing Bite. Looks like she wasn't gonna need to score a critical to inflict a burn with a sword art like that...where did she get it? Regardless, Vigilon felt the tingling from his burn. "We may be even in ailments, but maybe it's time to even the odds again." Vigilon decided. He took a deep breath as his weapon beg -
[SP-F5] Fate and The Dragon, Part One: Raiders in the Sands
Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
Turns out, Avie was not above stabbing a disabled opponent. She lifted him up with her free hand, then struck his defenseless back with her weapon. Turns out, Vigilon didn't have enough proper protection behind, but at least he didn't suffer any criticals. Hell, it didn't even look like she was aiming for a weak spot, it seemed more like she was testing his equipment for a moment there. She then rapidly moved her free hand from gripping his equipment to gripping his left arm. She squeezed it, as if looking for details hidden by his equipment. "Ah...Anticipated? Unantici -
[SP-F5] Fate and The Dragon, Part One: Raiders in the Sands
Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
Other players had taken notice of what was unfolding here now. All of them were members of the Knights of Cinnabar. Vigilon and Avie would be directed to the hideout's sparring arena, where Avie would proceed to send a duel request to Vigilon. She must have used proximity challenge and selected the username she didn't recognize, but at least she guessed correctly, as the request popped up in front of him. Vigilon would accept the duel request, and take position. Vigilon drew Kyrkuran, and waited for the timer to start the duel. Various Cinnabar players gathered to watch, won -
[SP-F5] Fate and The Dragon, Part One: Raiders in the Sands
Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
Vigilon blinked. He wasn't sure what to do. Avie continued looking towards Vigilon. "It looks like you will need to be tested, before you can help." She explained. Well, sure? Like, what's the worst that could happen? He was still missing information, and that player's uniform looked suspiciously similar...but what could possibly go wrong? "I accept." Vigilon answered. Avie then removed the desert cloths obscuring her actual apparel. Turns out, Vigilon would find himself in for a surprise. -
[SP-F5] Fate and The Dragon, Part One: Raiders in the Sands
Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
Vigilon would follow the girl, who would knock on what seemed to be a door. She knocked multiple times in a specific pattern, by the looks of it. What pattern that was, however, was still unknown...especially when something knocked back. The girl would start knocking again. Was this Simon Says or Morse Code? Vigilon was having trouble telling. Soon, the doors opened, and Vigilon was able to follow the girl inside. The structure, from what he could first see, seemed to be filled with plenty of papers plastered across many different points on the walls, either depicting wh -
[SP-F5] Fate and The Dragon, Part One: Raiders in the Sands
Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
The girl would nod her head, and the two players would begin making their way to the currently mystery destination. Despite the lack of sandstorms on this current day, the heat made the trip a harsh one. It seemed harsh enough to parch the two players. "Energy...decreasing...hydration...low..." The female player spoke as she began to slow down severely. Vigilon pulled out two glass bottles of water from his inventory, and offered the colder one to the girl. The girl's eyes lit up slightly. "Thank you..." She stopped to take the bottle, then she popped off the cork and drank what she needed, be -
[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
Vigilon needed to think this through. If he took too long to act, he'd lose his chance to go for a comeback. Luck clearly wasn't on his side here so he was left having to go to any and every tactic at his disposal. He needed to become less predictable. That little stunt he'd pulled earlier seemed to help, so why not try confusing his opponent? He would poisition himself to begin a Sword Art, but spun around to kick up another dust cloud instead. He then leapt to the side, advanced towards Acanthus, , but stopped with a spin halfway to try and kick up even more sand. He leapt to another spot, l -
[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
Vigilon was about to ready his next move when his opponent, Acanthus...simply got up. "Wait...what?" He thought aloud, as his expression changed from relief to shock, then from shock to worry. "No...no, no, nonononono, this, this can't...how...?" Vigilon's disbelief was nothing to his opponent, who noted it was going to take more than Vigilon had managed if he intended to take her down. Things were not looking good here at all. Something was wrong, very wrong. Vigilon saw little option but to give himself another fighting chance. He planted his foot, placed his free hand beh -
[SP-F5] Fate and The Dragon, Part One: Raiders in the Sands
Vigilon replied to Vigilon's topic in Beginner Floors
While Vigilon was thinking, someone else was nearby, at a different patch of shade. Vigilon himself, however, had yet to realize someone else had found him. "...Unidentified player in sight." A female player noted to herself, from the safe distance of her own shade. "Commencing visual analysis..." Vigilon stretched as he took a deep breath, that very deep breath bringing a bit of a temporary expanse to his chest for its duration. He checked to make sure the stretches did their job, by positioning his arms one at a time, almost as if he were f -
[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
There goes another healing crystal, this time bringing him back to yellow from the red. This was going the opposite of good. "What the hell did I do to deserve this??" Vigilon thought, desperate from getting slammed multiple times already despite having gotten not a single gosh darn hit himself. Things were not looking good at all, and he was finding himself with very little options. The best he could do in this moment was prepare a Sword Art, and hope that he doesn't miss. His weapon glowed, he rushed for his opponent, he managed to avoid the nearby -
[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
And of course fate wasn't on his side, he ended up taking a beating before the system allowed him to move. He needed something to fix this. He was...lacking. He wasn't supposed to be lacking, and yet here he was. Helpless against the tides of battle. What a day this was turning out to be...just as good as the last week, he'd soon realize. "So, this is how Hirru felt..." He thought. "For the sake of my sanity, I better not lose this one, or I might start to look like a total joke. A social punching bag for years to come...and the only thing more dangerous than a bully is a bully I can't fight b -
Were the rumors true? That figure looked awfully suspicious in Vigilon's mind. This was something he'd need to personally investigate. The sands were as ruthless as ever, but at least Vigilon was able to get his hands on some footwear that was less likely to get sand stuck in them. He didn't know exactly what was going on here, but hopefully he'd be able to get to the bottom of these rumors, and if it was anything malicious, cut it down before it can become anything serious. Right now he'd been chasing footsteps he believed were present for a number of minutes, so maybe it would be best that h

How fate happened to throw this guy Vigilon's way was always the strangest convenience. Oddly enough, he may as well be the oddest lifesaver Vigilon ever knew. Sure, the taste was ass, but one can't deny the buffs that tend to come in clutch. "Aaaaaaand I'm here again." He thought aloud. So, naturally, preparation time was now. "I guess I'll be stockpiling a bit again while I'm here." He decided. After taking a sizable selection of items, he proceeded to give the needed payment, in ingredients, and just...flop the pile of ingredients right on the counter neatly, not one fell to the gr

[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
Vigilon drew Kyrkuran, and noticed his opponent was already on the move. "If I move at just the right moment, I can dodge the sword art." He thought. He indeed made an attempt to sidestep, but somehow he found his opponent's blade moving towards him anyway. Vigilon's eyes widened as the weapon came upon him. "Wait, what??" Vigilon had no idea what just happened. All he knew was that against all odds, he was now helpless down on the sand. He struggled to see if he couldn't break free, to no avail. If his opponent's sword arts can do things like that, evasi -
[Clash Of Blades Season 1] Week 3: Vigilon vs Acanthus
Vigilon replied to Kindling's topic in Player Vs Player
The sands were bitter, the previous week worse. If Vigilon lost this one, he may as well consider it being the reliability aspect of his reputation leaving in a theoretical hearse. ...And the recent rumors he'd been catching wind of on this floor didn't help either. He'd need to investigate on the soonest opportunity. Things were changing, so the question was now whether or not to remain rigid, or go with the flow. Hopefully he wouldn't have too much trouble with the sand as he often did when present on this floor. He'd actually gone to get some footw -
The moment Vigilon received word about his item being made, he made a beeline for Telrenya's shop. He arrived to the store, ready to see what handiwork was in store for him. Telrenya revealed the trinket, it was a really nice piece. Sometimes, Vigilon wondered why he would always receive names and descriptions on order forms he was handed, even if the customer in question didn't have anything specific in mind as long as it worked, as Vigilon had done earlier. ...Maybe it was just something the Cardinal did? The system filling in any holes left behind and approximating anything that couldn't be

At this point Vigilon had been wandering in his search for an Artisan shop, he needed to find one quickly. He stumbled upon a plain yet homely establishment. Well, if the sign was anything, this might be a possible chance. With the shelves empty, perhaps it had been getting a lot of business, or maybe the player was just starting out? Well, only one way to find out. He was able to open the door, so that meant something, at least. Not long after entering, he met eyes with who must have been the shop owner. "Telrenya? Wow, long time no see!" He began. While he'd noticed her n
