  1. OOC: In this thread, we have three leather. As for the buffs, I think Evasion would be best, because Vigilon's more of the strategic type, if you know what I mean. Of course, If there is a slot open for Mitigation after the Evasion, I won't refuse that one! As for the sword, yes, that is a pretty good idea. I was considering giving it to a player who needed it anyway.

Vigilon listened carefully to what Stryder said as he scanned the area.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Not exactly anything. "Three. If it's better than this cloth piece of crap, I'll gladly equip the crafted armor." Stryder then asked Vigilon if he wanted to temporarily join the Emerald Harbingers. "That Guild name sounds familiar..." But when Stryder mentioned Atzo, some thoughts came to Vigilon's mind, as well as minor confusion. "Ah, now I remember! Atzo was that player who I couldn't seem to figure out! That sly, cunning fox... His Guild seems to be all over the lower floors lately... Is Stryder really in that Guild?" Vigilon was happy to accept the friend request, but his only reply to the Guild request(but not exactly the best one for simply saying no) was, "Wait, you work under the Fox?", along with a slightly confused look. Vigilon had met Atzo, and Vigilon was only able to figure out one thing about him. That he seemed to be like a fox to Vigilon. He did call him fox, and right now, comparing the situations, Vigilon now knew how it felt to have an unwanted nickname, like boar bait.

  2. Vigilon was getting close, and soon the hooded player was right beside him. Vigilon slowed down, thought for a minute, and decided that scolding the blue haired child would have to wait. The hooded player seemed a bigger threat, and was chasing after the boy as well. It didn't make much sense here, for this player seemed like someone who would kill, and this was a safe zone. Nevertheless, he decided to chase to the hooded player instead. As he started after the player, he scanned the area as he ran.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Still nothing, but that didn't matter. The hooded player appeared to be more dangerous than the young troublemaker. Sure, he nailed Vigilon in the head, but he didn't deserve an assassination. "I won't let you harm that kid!" He began to think about how he would stop/stall this player so the kid could escape as he ran, slowly catching up.

OOC: It's ok, Hidden. I've made changes to my post so it doesn't contradict the thread or whatever. Point remains the same though :P

  3. "Thanks, I'm sure it will help, even if it's only a small amount." Vigilon began to wonder if he was going in the right direction, or if he was going the exact opposite way. It was a mystery. He didn't exactly know how familiars act without a player. He got up and scanned the area before deciding to move on.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

There didn't seem to be anything, but Vigilon knew there would be something, somewhere. He walked to the northeast, instead of west which he started with. "If I was going the wrong direction, I should be heading the right way now. This better be the right way. Hmm... perhaps a conversation might make this go faster..." He continued to dwell on the near future, as well as ideas for starting a conversation. But his mind happened to be slightly blank at the moment. He knew he needed to find a way to speed up the process, but what?

  4. Vigilon thought it was nice seeing Stryder again. After all, he did save Vigilon from a boar ambush some time ago. But then he soon felt like he was being watched. When he saw a cloaked figure, who appeared to be an assassin, he assumed this player certainly couldn't be trusted, that is, judging from outward appearance. He was about to get up and draw his sword, despite that he was in a safe zone, when a stone nailed him in the head. That set him off. He began to chase after the young troublemaker. "HEY! WATCH WHAT YOU'RE DOING KID!!!" It was hard to do so, but he scanned the area for any materials.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Not exactly anything. He tried. But back to the situation. Vigilon began to catch up, slowly but surely(This kid seemed fast. Either that or Vigilon had a slow start), and he almost forgot about the others, but he kept them in his mind. "GET BACK HERE! COME HERE NOW, YOU TROUBLEMAKER!!!"

  5. OOC: We can continue for the armor if you want. If not, or afterwards, we can close the thread. I have to be honest though, I had posted an order from a blacksmith already, so I'll have to figure out what becomes of both swords. Perhaps I'll save the one I don't equip to give to another player that uses one handed straight swords.

Before Vigilon had the chance to finish the boar, Stryder had already done so. Stryder gave Vigilon a sword made from boar tusk, half the spoils from the defeated monster. "Thanks, I'm probably going to need this. Now that the boar is dead, we can get to the armor without interruption." Vigilon scanned the area, looking for any more materials for light armor.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Nope, nothing. "Hm... I guess we might have to work with what we have." At this point, he just needed armor that would help him with his build, or to soften blows from enemies. He began to think out loud. "One thing's for certain. If I'm going to start a Guild soon, I better start improving, starting now. I can't run a Guild if a boar can cause trouble for me like this." Vigilon wondered if he actually would reach his goals. He believed that his goals would assist him in helping others survive as well as himself.

  6. "I have no doubts about that. It's definitely out there somewhere." was Vigilon's reply. The thoughts continued to cross his mind as he wondered about things that had to do with familiars. "Hmm... what could it be? A wolf like Kyu? Nah, I already tried with a wolf. Obviously, I'm sick of boars. Maybe...A dragon? Obviously, it can't be one of those big ones, it would have to be small. Wait. If I did find a small dragon, would it be as hyper as Velnia? I actually hope not, despite the constant thrill from dealing with shenanigans..." He looked around, looking for anything useful.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Not exactly anything. "It's getting dark, I'm not surprised." He knew there was something out here in the cold. After all, he got close to befriending a familiar, although it seemed a little skiddish. "It's definitely somewhere in this floor. If I got close towards one, I just might be able to find it soon."

  7. Vigilon smiled, and equipped Hecta's Bliss. "Thanks, I can certainly trust you." Vigilon noticed something was missing. He'd forgotten to introduce himself, again. "Agh, I've forgotten to introduce myself! I'm Vigilon." Vigilon walked over to an area near the safe zone, and looked around.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

An Ice wolf drew close to him. Vigilon set something down for it. It tagged along with Vigilon for a bit, until a deep, loud noise scared it off. "Well, there goes that one..." He walked on, hoping for a much braver ally next time, and he looked up at the sky. Vigilon whistled. "This floor certainly lives up to it's reputation. It's amazing..." He sat down on the snow covered ground, wondering what other possible familiars could be waiting. "I still remember other people telling me I dream awfully big. However, I don't care. I'm going for any chance I get to befriend a dragon, big or small!"

  8. OOC: Sorry about that, I need to update my signature big time. XD

Vigilon thought about his situation. "I've got to strike, and I've got to right now!"

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Okay, that didn't go as planned. Vigilon rushed in early and didn't really manage to swing his sword in time. He ran straight into the boar and dropped his sword. He picked it up and then said, "Alright pig-face, I've had enough. I'll finish him, Stryder! Don't worry about this one!" Vigilon was clearly pissed off at his embarrassing moment as well as the boar itself, and wanted to kill it so badly, but if only he could just hit it. "You're going down, and we'll be having bacon for breakfast tomorrow!" He felt like he needed to finish this fight himself. But he would actually be content if Stryder killed him. He just wanted it dead. "Come on, pork butt! What can a weakling like you do now? Huh?" Vigilon took a somewhat evasive stance, hoping to finish the beast after avoiding the boar's attack.

Vigilon looked carefully at the situation, and prepared to attack.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Vigilon's strike missed, and he saw the boar pull a crit on Stryder. "Get back here! I'm not done with you yet!" It was over already, he just had to hit the stupid thing! "I'll have to plan this out carefully, so I can actually hit it!" He was close enough to the hole to see what was inside. He looked at his status after noticing what was inside. "Figures, I don't have the skill and there's something there. Hmm... If this boar can respawn in the cave, perhaps that chest will be there when I come back with the skill...Right, I won't get anything today, but at least today's troubles should be over." Thinking out loud occasionally helped him stay focused, like right now, for he was motivated on one thing right now. Killing this stupid, aggravating giant boar.

  10. Vigilon had to agree with Stryder. Who wouldn't want bacon? Vigilon began to think he was forgetting something. Either way, he went for the attack.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

He finally knew what he was missing. He activated snake bite and struck the boar three times in succession. "All this time, and I could have used it anytime. Why did it have to take me so long to figure this out?" It wouldn't be long before the boar was dead. "Heh, guess that's not the issue here though. This pig's about to be sliced into bacon!" Vigilon was curious as to why there was a big boar in the cave though. Could it have been guarding something, or what? Vigilon thought about this for a minute. "Hey, once this thing's dead, perhaps we could see what's in the hole." He hoped there wouldn't be any more huge boars lying in wait. Back to the situation, there was a boar that needed to die.

  11. Vigilon knew he needed a better weapon. "At this rate, I'll pretty much settle for anything other than this crappy blade." Vigilon stopped, noticed the sign, and entered. He knew he would set up shop at some point, but until then he would have to buy his weapons. Whether it be Col or Mats. "Hmm... 666 Col and 6 mats... I guess I'll be paying in mats, then." He slowly walked over towards the player. If he was going to get a weapon, it would need to increase his damage, at the very least, since he intended to prioritize DPS with a bit of Scout for his build. "Hello, I'm here for a weapon. A sword, to be precise." He didn't need to worry about trust when he was in a shop. "I don't have much Col, but I can pay in materials." He waited for an answer with patience, thinking about how he would proceed with the possible answers.

  12. Vigilon was walking in the Town of Beginnings, not exactly sure about what he should do. He searched the area for something he could use, like an ingot he could use for crafting later on.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Not exactly anything. He sat down on a bench for a bit. He noticed a player walking by who, to Vigilon's surprise, seemed amazed at the virtual world around him. "But this is a death game!" He thought. "There is no possible way he could be acting all normal like that! Well, unless he was trying to get a positive view on this..." He looked carefully at the player, trying to figure out why he seemed that way. "If he's new, what I think I'm seeing is someone who would act like it's a game nevertheless. But wouldn't that just get him killed? I could be wrong though...However, If I'm going to start a Guild, I guess I might need to be a little more open..."

  13. "Well, I'm not exactly hoping to train till I reach the frontlines, where I might just end up as a nobody who ends up getting his name crossed off at the indoor cemetery, the monument of life, but yeah, still hoping to train primarily for DPS." To Vigilon, joining the frontlines was like joining the army without any training or experience, in which the chances of living would be approximately 0.0000000000001%(a little exaggeration there). He scanned the area, looking for something useful.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Nothing. Figures, there was nothing to help him search anyway. When the other player asked Vigilon to specify what he needed help with, he responded with, "Well, there are a lot of possibilities, but I'll just be straight, I guess. I don't have anything I can feed a familiar with, nor can I fend off anything hostile. I um, hate to seem rude or anything, but, by any chance, is there a spare equipable item that I can use during the search? I'll return it afterwards, of course."

  14. Vigilon sighed in frustration over being called boar bait again. "Vigilon." Perhaps punching the rock would get this off his mind.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

That worked. That is, he had something else to be frustrated about. "Agghhh! Hnrrrrrrrgg....." "This is just ridiculous..." He also took note of how Stryder and Lee struck it with ease, while Wardege and the other player didn't have much luck with their first strikes. This rock was in his way towards getting stronger, which he would need to do for several things, such as starting a Guild. He looked to Domarus. "And you are...?" He wasn't in the usual mood for introductions, seeing as he had trouble with a simple rock and being called boar bait. Twice. However, just because he was having an off day so far, didn't mean he meant any offense in his rather aggressive tone. As he waited for an answer, he considered taking a breather...or two.

  15. Vigilon did what he could to hide his feelings about the moment, such as how angry he could have been by being called "Boar bait" as well as a giant, annoying boar getting in the way of his current goals. "I hope this doesn't stick...If this was an embarrassing encounter in real life in public, and someone said that, people might even be making T-shirts out of that joke." He took position, and went for the attack.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Vigilon stabbed the top of the boar's hind leg(most likely it's butt), and the boar squealed loudly, as if it were in extreme pain from that and Stryder's previous attacks. "Guess that might have been a crit, it did more damage than I thought it would." "I think this would go faster if I helped out!" The boar didn't really see him coming, so that certainly gave Vigilon a minor advantage, plus the fact that Stryder was more dangerous than Vigilon was towards the beast.

    OOC: no worries, it's alright.

  16. As he waited for the others to arrive, he decided, "I should start on this thing."

    Let's roll, shall we!?

The first punch wasn't so bad, but Vigilon was a little disappointed at how much damage he did compared to the boulder's durability(or was it HP?). Soon, Wardege and Lee arrived, and when Lee told him that the whiskers were a good look for him, Vigilon silently assumed that was some kind of joke or sarcasm. "I'm gonna be getting this until this darn rock is a pile of pebbles." Soon, a player Vigilon did not recognize arrived. Must have been who Wardege invited. "Holy crap, that guy's tall!" "Yup, I'm stuck with this face till I beat this rock into pebbles!" Not too soon after, he heard a familiar voice. "Hey boar bait!!" Vigilon hid his face, gritting his teeth. "I can't believe that name actually stuck." He was often provoked by such words, but at least he was able to keep himself from reacting angrily when Stryder first called him that.

  17. Vigilon was in the Town of Beginnings as usual, since he still had some things to do in the first floor(Like seeking out cheap yet decent gear other than a sword and armor). When he received a message from Wardege, he smirked and remarked to himself, "Heh, had a feeling this might happen. I did this with others when I was new. Although, I still consider myself new. Figures." As he walked towards the edge of the safe zone to where Wardege was, he scanned the town for materials.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Not exactly anything, but that wasn't why he left. He remembered the details of the message, and invited Stryder along, who he clearly trusted at the moment. After all, he helped Vigilon out when he was ambushed by boars. He saw Wardege looking in the direction that lead to the forest. "Good to see you again, Wardege. Straight to the point, what do you need help with? I'll see what I can do." Vigilon trusted Wardege, but Vigilon remained slightly cautious, for he secretly believed that Wardege would drag himself into trouble with the way he led his life. "Please tell me this had nothing to do with your 'Debts'..."

  18. A balance player? Vigilon hadn't even heard of such. "Balance? Like, all builds? Interesting. I prefer to prioritize as DPS and add a little Scout to top it off myself. However, I haven't gotten my hands on any skills yet, much less decent gear. Heck, my base damage is still 1, for crying out loud. It's ridiculous!" As Vigilon thought about how this player exactly stretched his build to a wide variety, he scanned the area for materials.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

He picked up a chunk of ore and stashed it into his inventory. "If I just happen to get lucky enough, however, a familiar would pretty much change everything for me." This player seemed trustworthy...slightly, but just enough for Vigilon to be blunt about this. "Alright, I could use some help." "Nice job, Vigilon.  You just spilled the beans and asked him if he could tag along without getting the full amount of details..."

  19. "Oh gosh, that would actually help. However, I never managed to gather enough mats to trade for a single item from an artisan, so I guess it's a little too late for me. I think. Usually when I played a game in vanilla, it was hard, but worthwhile. But in a game like this, I wouldn't consider that an option, despite that's what I'm stuck with." Vigilon could really use something, but he didn't really have anything he could use. He scanned the area, looking for a material.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

He found an ingot and stashed it in his inventory. "Well, I guess I should be heading for a place to attempt finding a familiar." Then he noticed the player's level. "Well, I should, but this floor is a little too much for me at the moment..." Vigilon had to find out more about this player before he would even dare just ask him for help. Thus, he needed to ask in a subtle manner, since he really did need help, as a result, he tried not to show that he needed help, but just enough to try getting someone to help him out without asking directly.

  20. Vigilon began exploring the second floor, hoping to find something that he was capable of. He soon came across a hut near a hill of stone, and knocked on the door. Originally, Vigilon wasn't expecting an Npc to open the door, so when he came through, Vigilon tried to hide his relief that he wasn't in any danger at the moment. "I wish to see what I'm capable of, and grow stronger so I can help others, and possibly lead a Guild. (He knew it was a wild and desperate attempt, but he was still practically new, with his crappy gear.) Is there anything you know that might help?" The Npc looked at Vigilon, as if he was studying him. "Hmm...You do have the appearance of a future swordsman. I know a way to help you grow stronger. Follow me." Vigilon followed him to the hill of boulders. "Here we are." He painted whiskers on Vigilon's face like it was war paint, which he could understand. "If you want to get stronger, try to split this boulder using only your fists." Vigilon noticed a quest notification pop up on his menu, and he accepted...right after asking a few others to help him, and he also asked Wardege if he knew anyone else who could help. "I just hope I don't regret this..."

  21. When Wardege suggested that Vigilon and Lee put away their swords, Vigilon responded with, "I'm sorry, what?" Then Wardege began walking towards the other player. "None of us even know her! Who knows what she could be up to!" Vigilon then heard Lee's remark, and said, "Heh, if that's the case, then I'm the dark knight. Without the black apparel and lack of a good sense of humor, though." When Wardege spoke to the other player, and over-formally introduced himself, he facepalmed, sighed and said, "Is that some sort of protocol, or do you just like acting like a servant?" Vigilon considered scanning the area for anything metal, be it ore, ingot, or a piece of scrap that can be salvaged.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Vigilon walked to the side of the tree, only for the broken branch to fall on him, causing him to fall flat on his face. Vigilon got up(mostly), and threw the branch away from the area. "Let's...Just pretend that didn't happen."

  22. OOC: Ah, didn't I mention Vigilon had been regenerating? Your post claims his HP is still 50. But Vigilon hasn't engaged the boar in combat yet, so from what I know, his Hp is currently 56/60, so after this post it should be...59/60(Just enough for Vig to try going for it.)

Vigilon heard nothing, then the boar somehow bust itself out of the cave! "Wh-wha??? That shouldn't have been possible! Well, unless the lining of the entrance was made of soil, and not stone..." It must have been, otherwise the chances of that happening were about 400,000 to 1. In other words, when chickens learn to swim. He looked for anything else before thinking about his options.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Sure, there was leather right there, but before he could grab it, the large boar stepped on it and tore it with it's hoof and weight. "Dang it, fatso! We needed that!" Vigilon didn't like the fact that he had to deal with this crap. If that boar was going to get in the way, there would be no materials to find. He had to fight. "Right, so how should I go about this...?" Vigilon kept himself a good distance away, looking for his opportunity to strike.

"Hmpf, I better get used to pretty much anything then. If luck and accidents are around every corner, I should start preparing myself for better or for worse. However, I don't seem to have much at all. I only have this crappy basic gear and a pile of materials. Heck, even finding those was difficult, so I can't really say I'm lucky at all. Man, this may be just a game, but it's freezing here!" He scanned the area for anything unusual, maybe a material, as he shook off the snow.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

At first, it looked like ice. Then Vigilon picked it up, and noticed it was an ingot. "Heh, guess it was camouflaged in the snow." He stashed it in his inventory, then moved his thoughts to the next problem. There was a player he didn't know, and he needed to find out if he could trust him.

  24. Vigilon stepped back as the quarrel reached the cave entrance. Seeing Stryder practically fly out of the hole startled Vigilon, and that was a bad sign. "Holy crap, that thing must pack a big punch!" Vigilon ran away from the hole, hoping to search peacefully while Stryder confronted the beast.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Vigilon uncovered a piece of leather after tripping over the rock it was under. "Well, if I can't find something in the rock, guess I'll have to look under it." He looked back at the hole. It was obvious the big boar couldn't fit through the hole. Vigilon calmed down, and tried to think of something encouraging. "Stryder, It's too big to fit through the hole! Perhaps if you strike where it won't anticipate, it can't block it!" The boar only showed it's face, and it was close enough to do some damage if someone was to strike it. Nice attempt of encouragement, Vigilon.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

Vigilon noticed a piece of leather. How it got under the rock he looked around, he had no clue. He stashed it into his inventory. "One down, nine to go." He heard someone shout, "STAY AWAY!", and wondered if that was Stryder. Vigilon just couldn't leave him behind, but his HP wasn't full yet either. So he got close to the hole, trying to get a glimpse on the situation. When he peeked inside, he saw a large boar. Maybe an alpha boar? "Guess that's where the others came from. Could it be a miniboss of some sort? Perhaps, if it was only surrounded by players that are levels 1-3...I should wait before I strike, so Stryder can give that fat bully a reason to ignore me."
