  1. OOC: not exactly. I know nothing about dungeons or sub dungeons. XD I was actually thinking of a one room cave with a largish boar in the center with 50 hp and 15 DMG, with a small chest behind it at the back of the cave.

    Ten Mats? That certainly wouldn't be easy. "Ten? Well...I guess we might be able to accumulate that amount over time. As for the sword, I don't need to. Since I plan to be a blacksmith, I can just forge my own." Vigilon looked around, scanning the area for ore or leather.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Nothing. Perhaps he was looking in the wrong place. "Just my luck. This is gonna be harder than it looks after all. Anyway, I plan on being primarily DPS, and part Scout for my build." He had to admit, Stryder was slightly more trustworthy than he thought a few minutes ago. "Alright, he seems trustworthy, but there's just one more question that needs answering...was he trying to gain my trust? That will certainly tell whether or not he really is trustworthy. For now, I'll just act like everything is going normally...If I can. It's not like I can do that easily..."

  2. OOC: Beatbox has told me he is unable to continue posting in this thread, so we shall continue.

    Vigilon was approached by someone he didn't exactly know. "Figures, this will keep happening for a while..." When the player mentioned a girl, Vigilon's face turned red, very red, as red as a cherry. "A-a girl? What? No! I was talking about a familiar! Like I would ever just be milling around in an ice cold place like this in search of a girl." He went back to searching in the snow for materials as he walked towards the edge of the safe zone.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Scratch that, he ran due to embarrassment, and ended up falling into a small mound of snow after a failed search. "Mgfffffffffgmffffff....."(Roughly translates to "Why is it always me?") He attempted to get himself out of the snow, but it was a little too deep for him to crawl out on his own. Whether or not this kind of problem would keep happening was the next thing Vigilon had on his mind.

  3. Vigilon had heard of the martial arts skill before, but at this point, he considered it true. "A free light armor craft? Too good to be true. However, I might need to see if he was joking or not. He's not wrong about how ridiculously bad my current luck is. Those freaking boar are so annoying!" He thought about his word choices as he searched.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    There didn't seem to be anything...yet. "Are you serious? Heh, guess we should search for leather or something similar then, in that case. So...How many materials would you need? we can even gather extra if you want if there's time." He thought carefully about how he would respond to the possible scenarios, keeping in mind to also look for materials at a wider variety. While he and Stryder searched, he thought about the hole in the hill. Was it an entrance to a dungeon, sub dungeon or a one room cave?

  4. Vigilon had to agree with Lee's remark...in his own terms.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    He saw nothing nearby, and decided to focus back on the more serious matter. And that's when the girl fell down from the tree. "I knew it!" Slightly startled, Vigilon drew his sword and took a defensive position. After the player's not-so-nice remark, Vigilon lowered, but did not sheathe his blade. "Doesn't need help? Sounds like some kind of distraction. I don't believe those words at all...yet. I mean, what's she ranting about really? Although she seems harmless, I can't put down my weapon just yet." Vigilon continued to keep his cautious stance. It wasn't that he didn't trust her(which, yes, he doesn't trust her at the moment), he just didn't like that he was watched and stalked, since that kind of situation sometimes lead to disaster. Whether she meant harm or not was the question running through Vigilon's mind. "I currently don't trust you, so is there any way you can make me? Truth? Or a sway of words? Frustration? From what I know, you aren't here on peaceful terms. Perhaps you were just reading your book when we came along, but only your words and actions can prove that. So? What are you gonna do? Why are you here...?"

  5. Vigilon was relieved that he wouldn't be leaving the safe zone, and assured himself that Lee was slightly trustworthy at the least. He decided to look around the area once more before moving on.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Nothing. No, worse than nothing, he tripped while rushing towards one of the trees and bumped his head on it. "Dang..." Hearing Wardege's words, he began to wonder and, kind of worry about the position Wardege was putting himself in. "This guy isn't thinking about the concept of that kind of surrender at all! He seems to think it's an opportunity, but it's a ticket to enslaving himself to someone else!" When he noticed the noise, he turned in the general direction of the sound. "Um, I didn't say anything." "Something's not right here..." Cautiously, he moved toward the sound, thinking of what it could be. He assumed one thing, but he couldn't confirm it. As a result, he decided to let the others know they should proceed with caution. "I could be wrong, but...Guys, I get the feeling...I think we're being watched..."

  6. OOC: 7 posts for me, or in general? Either way, I just might have enough muse. If I can do a Solo thread, I might be able to keep this going.

    Vigilon decided that he should definitely wait a while before taking a peek inside the hole. "During the fight, I couldn't help but notice that you seemed to be quite a DPS, if that was your build. As for myself, I don't suck this badly most of the time, I just could use some better gear. Seeing as I don't have much Col, I figured I could use materials to pay for light armor, and perhaps forge my own blade. Sure, I could also have use for other things that probably cost Col, but I'm doing this a few things at a time." After saying this, he scanned the area.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    He found a chunk of ore, and stashed it in his inventory. He figured he could just casually talk about builds, plans, gear, and, of course, Mats. Obviously, it seemed he had just as much luck here as within a safe zone. True, Mats could be found anywhere, he just had to either search hard enough, or pretty much have lady luck on his side, which, so far, didn't seem likely.

  7. Upon Stryder's attack on the boar, Vigilon knew this fight was pretty much over. He and Stryder just had to finish him.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon noticed the boar charging for Stryder, despite all the mockery. However, the boar was too focused on it's attack, and Vigilon stabbed it with ease, finishing the beast. "Finally!" He looked around before turning to Stryder. "Phew! There shouldn't be any more in this area for now. Anyway, was either of us going to say something before the boar interrupted?" Vigilon had enough of boars for the day, if not a week. "Next boar that comes will be sliced into bacon, that's for sure. Now I can finally focus on perhaps getting to know this guy a little. He seems trustworthy, but I can't be certain just yet." Vigilon noticed that he and Stryder were near a small opening in a hill, an opening large enough for them to enter. "Perhaps the boar thought we were intruding their territory? Nah, they were probably just plain aggressive. I am curious of what's inside the opening, probably a material or two, but I don't feel like going in till I regenerate some."

    OOC: I've actually thought of one more thing for this thread before closing it, but I think we should let our characters talk for a bit and gather mats so they have a chance to regenerate HP and EP before getting to that.

  8. It wasn't like this was something Vigilon and Stryder couldn't handle. They had this fight in the bag. So Vigilon, smiling with confidence, aimed his strike towards the angrily squealing boar.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon's "well placed strike" missed, and the Boar charged for Stryder. "Again!?!? this is really bothering me now!" "Hey! Come back here ya stupid idiotic pathetic pork chop! I'm not through with you yet! Come closer so I can kill you already!" "Well, nobody ever said fighting the easiest monster wasn't easier said than done..." Vigilon practically chased after the boar, but also kept a safe enough distance so he could avoid the incoming attacks should they be directed to him. Obviously the two players were capable of winning, they just had to actually land a hit on that stupid boar. The monster looked to Vigilon as if to say, "The higher level player dies first. You're next, weakling." Of course, Vigilon didn't really care what the boar thought. He just wanted it dead.

  9. "Wasn't going to get one anyway. I'm not really one for that stuff." After his words, Vigilon retreated to his thoughts. "Kid!? Ugh, you sound like my sister!" Despite feeling like he was beaten down by a demeaning comment, he did appreciate the fact that Piera had been through a lot this evening. He thought about what she said to Shield, and it seemed to make sense at the very least. As he thought, he wondered whether this trip was a help or a hindrance to the people involved. Either way, it wasn't likely that Vigilon would like to return to that eerie place, the Monument of Life. Vigilon looked to Shield. "It's your decision I guess. What should we do?" Vigilon knew he should leave that decision to Shield for multiple reasons, one being that Shield probably had more experience with this kind of thing, the other being that Vigilon had thought about starting a Guild, but hadn't forgotten words that were helpful to him a while ago, before he became trapped in this game: If you wish to lead, it is better to follow first.

    OOC: I personally wouldn't mind continuing this topic. If we reach 40(or 41) posts, we will get more sp and col :)

    @Piera @Shield @Anemone

  10. Vigilon didn't need to make any further remarks when Stryder made his.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon swung his sword towards the boar, but the monster freaking anticipated that. "Dang. So close." The boar snorted and charged for Stryder, despite the fact that it's charge was easy to sidestep. "Hey! Aren't I the one you're after? Get it together, pork-brain!" Vigilon thought that mocking the boar would get it's attention off of Stryder for a bit. "If I get it to charge for me, by either mocking it or running in front of Stryder, I can thrust my sword in it's back while jumping on, and that ought to distract the boar for a bit." With half a plan, Vigilon then thought about when and how he would do this. Perhaps after Stryder made his move. "Guess I'll have to get in closer...again. Vigilon slowly moved towards the boar, preparing himself for the moment the boar would charge.

  11. Vigilon was certainly upset on not getting a hit on this boar. "Did this really have to be similar to my first fight? I'd better kill this stupid thing before my HP drops too low."

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon struck the boar, and as it shattered, he noticed the other one seemed to be preparing to Crit. "Look out! I think it's about to crit!!" At least another boar was dead, so there's just that last one. Of course, now Vigilon needed to help this guy with the last one, and then they can finally get to something more on the peaceful side, like Vigilon finding if this guy was trustworthy. Needless to say though, he already had a fair amount of Vigilon's trust, seeing as Vigilon didn't suffer any non-monster damage between fights. Vigilon now thought about how he was going to assist in killing that last boar. "I guess I just need to get a little closer..."

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon missed, almost hit him, while the Boar he attempted to hit thrust it's tusk in his leg. "Dang! Almost had him! Maybe I'll get him on the next hit. For now, I should focus on attacking this one, and evading the attacks of the other, assuming it attacks me." But the stronger boar futilely charged for Stryder instead. "I still think I got this one! I'm also certain you can hold off the other one and keep his attention on you!" If the enemies' attacks remained the same for a bit longer, the two players would win this thing. This skirmish was pretty pathetic, but Vigilon had to start somewhere, even if he needed an ally he didn't know. Nevertheless, he focused his attention on the enemies, and prepared to make his move.

  13. "Right, so first, I think we should gather ingots to trade them for something a tank would probably need: a shield!" Vigilon handed the ingot in his hand over to Wardege. "So that's one, and from my assumptions, we need about... seven or eight total, so that's about six or seven to go." Vigilon continued his search, hoping to find more materials to exchange for a decent shield.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Nothing. "Figures, there's nothing here." Vigilon considered moving to a different area that would be easier to find materials. Problem was, he didn't know many places to go. "So, Lee, do you know of any places good for finding materials where we could go?" "Hopefully, there won't be any monsters or PKers in the area..." Vigilon really didn't feel like fighting today, and he knew that going to a much higher floor would be a recipe for disaster. He waited for the next few words, and prepared himself for some of the possibilities.

  14. Vigilon got up, looked at the situation, and attempted another attack.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    While the injured boar was distracted by Stryder, this was Vigilon's chance to strike. He stabbed the Boar in it's belly, at which it squealed loudly. Both Boar charged for Vigilon, but he leaped over them. It wasn't exactly easy, but at least Vigilon actually did some decent damage. However, there was still one boar that would be troublesome. "Um, you can handle that other one, right?" Vigilon knew he didn't really know him, but he did need some help. Trust issues had to wait. These boar were definitely worse than trust problems. "I think I can take the injured one on my own now, but we might need to work together on that last one." Vigilon wasn't exactly used to being all open arms like this, but he was desperate not to die an embarrassing death. He waited for an answer, so he could come up with a plan of action in his head.

  15. Vigilon decided to continue keeping notes about Atzo, and continued his search. He walked around for a bit, hoping to find a particularly diverse spot to start looking.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon spotted an interesting looking chunk of ore, and stashed it in his inventory. Continuing his search for a good spot, he thought about whether or not he trusted Atzo enough to do anything that involved him. After a minute, he decided the question in mind was far too easy. Atzo seemed to be a sly, cunning type to Vigilon, and as long as Vigilon didn't let his guard down, and remained wary(In a subtle manner), he wouldn't have to worry about it. "Anything else we might need to discuss? After all, a conversation just might make this go a lot faster!" Vigilon believed what he said was a pretty good idea, and it just might make things a bit more interesting, a well as give Vigilon some more info about the two players with him.

    @Itzal

  16. It didn't take long for Vigilon to come up with something regarding the current state of things. However, he was slightly confused and disappointed when Wardege declined the terms. "I...guess I can deal with the typical way a party is lead. As for the gear, I already have an idea. Assuming you don't have  any Col, it is also possible to pay with materials. I'll show you how to find some! It's easy!"

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon picked up an ingot lying on the ground nearby and held it up. "To be honest, it's easier said than done. But since I plan on partially being a scout, gathering materials is something I might need to practice. Heck, it's useful for all builds if you think about it." Vigilon then began thinking about whether to stash the ingot in his inventory or give it to Wardege. After all, if Wardege sucked at searching as much as Vigilon currently did, it would be best for Wardege to have it.

    ID# 82442 LD 15(+1 Mat)

    @Wardege @Lee

  17. Vigilon considered declining the invite, but then thought up an idea. "I'll join the party under one condition." He turned to Lee and then said, "If you and I can discuss the possible options, and he decides(Pointing to Wardege) whether or not we do it, I'm in." Vigilon believed the way Wardege introduced himself was, well...a little too formal. To Vigilon, it was as if he was a servant talking to nobles. "Ah, ha ha, um, you really don't have to act like that around me." "Geez, where was this guy raised?" As for the familiar, Vigilon had had enough of boars for a long while, but maybe one that is tamed may bring a different aspect to light. When Wardege explained what build he planned on using, Vigilon responded with, "Tank? Healer? Gotta be honest, neither of those are my style, so I can't help you there, well, actually, I can say one thing. 'Keep friends close, and keep enemies closer.' However, judging by your current gear, I don't think you would be fit for combat anytime soon..."

    @Wardege @Lee

  18. Vigilon listened carefully and decided that this player just might be trustworthy. However, he did have a few thoughts in his head. "Useless? Am I hearing this correctly? Not my concern, huh? Smart." When the player turned his head and spoke, that's when Vigilon realized they weren't alone. "Guess I must have been deep in my thoughts when he said something." Vigilon turned towards the player that seemed to be coming near. "Yeah, I just wanted to help. I don't mind if someone else joins in." "Assuming they're trustworthy..." Vigilon knew he should be ready for anything, since he just agreed to let a player he didn't know to join them. "I sure hope I don't regret these decisions. Each one counts." So far, Vigilon was neutral on how this was going. He knew this walk in town could have been for better or for worse. He waited patiently for the next words, and thought about what he should do if things went downhill.

    @Wardege @Lee

  19. As Vigilon listened to the conversation, he felt the heat of the moment rise, fall, and flow. "So, how should I go about this..." "I must admit, we all have our own opinions on the possible actions to take, although the decision eventually falls into the hands of each and every one of us. Our individual actions might act upon the others, or against the others. Nevertheless, everyone is destined for something. Whether it be victory or death, I believe we must make each and every effort count towards the greater good, no matter what we do. If it were up to me, I wouldn't let this player have died in vain." After Vigilon said these words, he began to wonder if what he said was really true, or if he was just letting out how he felt about this in a subtle manner. Speaking of manners, he realized he'd forgotten to introduce himself. "Agh, where are my manners? I'm Vigilon."

    @Piera @Anemone @Shield @Beatbox @Kooh

  20. Vigilon walked throughout the Town Of Beginnings, and wondered if he would be encountering more players as his soon to be exploits progressed. He heard a voice echo from nearby, and he decided to walk in direction of the voice. Vigilon saw someone sitting down, looking like he hated his current state. "Is he frustrated, or is he trying to draw out kind players?" He looked at the player, with eyes of both sympathy and caution. He wondered if he would need to help him out, or give some start-off advice. "He doesn't seem like he means to trick or trap anyone, but trouble can even occur in a safe zone. not the lethal kind, but anything can happen... Well, it looks like I'll have to say something." Vigilon thought about how he would approach the situation. Perhaps keeping him company would be a good start. "You seem to be down in the dumps. Mind if I help you?"

    @Wardege

  21. OOC: Its ok, no need to worry.

    Vigilon was having his daily(temporary habit) walk around the town of beginnings, and he decided to look for materials while he walked. after all, he could find anything, and he remembered that practice was useful in things like searching.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon spotted an ingot on the ground, and he stashed it in his inventory. He came across someone who seemed to be slightly confused, and he thought about whether or not he should ask if she was confused and needed assistance. "I wonder, is she trustworthy? She appears so, but I just can't be certain... Perhaps a kind yet cautious approach would be best. Wait a second, I'm in a safe zone! I don't have THAT much to worry about! However, it would still be best to take it slowly" Vigilon wondered what she might possibly need help with, and if she needed help, how. "Um, is there anything I can help you with? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem confused..."

  22. Vigilon knew pleasantries would have to wait for now, there were still two boar to fend off.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon attempted to make a vertical strike, but tripped and fell on his back instead, while one boar charged for Stryder, and Vigilon got trampled by the other. "Just my luck, and in front of someone else too. How should I go about this now?" Vigilon needed some way to be a pretty decent fighter, or he would look pretty pathetic. Like now. "Dang, this is embarrassing. I uh, could use a little help. Not that I suck this badly, but..." Not exactly the best response, but what else could he say? Vigilon got up, and began planning his next move. Whether he should wait for the boar to charge for him before his attack, or be the one to attack first, was the question for the moment. Vigilon prepared himself for the next possible scenarios.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Nothing. Again. Of course, there was always next time. "I'm sure this will be easier later on, I guess." As much as Vigilon would love to find materials at every corner like an experienced player, he knew he had to start from scratch. Heck, he still had only his basic gear. "So, Itzal, care to lead the way to this place you spoke of?" He hoped he would have better luck than before, and his thoughts about trust began to lessen. He had bigger things to worry about at the moment. "I better start searching harder, and worrying less about Atzo. I'm now certain where he stands on my trust scale..." Vigilon waited for Itzal's response, and thought about whether or not Vigilon's conclusion about Atzo was clear. Of course, that would depend on the next few days...

  24. Never mind on jumping in, the other player obliterated the enemies. "Well, I guess you saved my butt there. To be honest, I was hoping to get in the fight so that you wouldn't have to fend them off by yourself, but you seemed to have it covered. Anyway, I'm Vigilon, it's nice to meet you." Vigilon decided that perhaps introducing himself like a normal person, he would find out more about him in a subtle manner, and see if this player is trustworthy. "I hope there aren't any more... Things could go wrong in this current situation at any moment..." However, Vigilon could not have been more wrong. "Let me guess, there's more behind me..." Vigilon turned around and saw three boar. "This can't be happening. Ugh, fine, I'll mess around with you freaks."

    Vigilon struck one Boar, and then three boar struck him in the chest. "Dang, I'm in a tighter situation than I thought..." "A little help here?" Whether Vigilon trusted Stryder or not had to wait. He needed some help.
