  1. Vigilon was startled by the sudden mid-flight stop Velnia made, and Veriost jumped back, onto Vigilon's head upon the close contact from the hyperactive mini-dragon, and with her wings opened up and flapping, she kind of took that stance cats make when they are angry/feel threatened. "Raahhh!!.....rrrrrmmmmmm....." Vigilon had a little trouble standing straight with Veriost on his head like that. "Whoa! Easy, Veriost!" A half-chuckle came out, and Vigilon went back to the matter at hand. "I'll pay in col." Vigilon still had some trouble trying to stand up straight with the extra weight on his head, despite that it wasn't much. Veriost kept her stance, her eyes fixed on Velnia, in case she did anything that might drag her out of her comfort zone. Well, she already was out of her comfort zone. However, it was hard, no, impossible to keep track of Velnia's movements, so all she could do was "Prepare for the worst". Although she didn't even know the other dragon, she wasn't prepared for what Velnia did at all.

  2. Vigilon was walking around floor 3, and he noticed a two-story building. When he got closer to it, he noticed it looked familiar. When he entered, it came to him almost instantly. This was Itzal's shop! Of course, he would need something for later, so why not order a song now so he might be prepared? He looked carefully at the display case, the one with the healing songs, and picked up one of them. Then he walked over to Itzal, saying, "Hey Itzal! it's been a while since I last saw you!" Veriost woke up from napping on Vigilon's shoulder, and began looking at Itzal curiously. Vigilon had to thank Itzal for helping him start off, and now he needed to buy something from his shop. Vigilon believed that in comparison to how he was when he started, he had come pretty far. "I'd like to buy this song crystal."

  3. Vigilon was slightly annoyed over being called "Bear bait" this time, but he was more annoyed at the fact that it seemed to be true. When he was looking for Veriost on floor 4, he often saw monsters, but they didn't seem interested in fighting. Maybe it was because there was a player in the 50's in level nearby? That had to be dwelt on another time. There was a Bear that needed slaying. "Come at me!!"

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    That could have gone better, but it didn't. Vigilon was a little confused over not moving as fast as he could have, until he was hit. "Argh!" "Dang, it was a freaking crit!" He fell to the ground on his side, but he wasn't done with this thing yet. Veriost flew over to see if he was okay, and he got up, looked the beast in the eye, and said, "Alright, you got a crit. Impressive, but now I'm pissed." He would be more on his guard when the two clashed again, that was certain.

    That attempt was literally his worst punch so far. He struck it right on top, but this time all he got was what seemed to be a shock through his whole body. "Nnnaaaauuggghhhh!!!!" It could have been worse, he could have had his hand shattered, assuming that could happen, but his hand was still there. "This is one of the most embarrassing moments I will ever have in this freaking death game. That was the most pitiful attempt on this rock, ever. In all of time. Perhaps." He wondered if there was a better way to deal with this thing, or if he should keep trying as it is. He was a bit tired of this. Scratch that, he was really tired of this rock. Vigilon swung his sword three times at the bear, dealing some pretty good damage and inflicting bleed on it. The bear barely missed him, and Vigilon smiled over how strong he was becoming so far. "Some people say if you mess with a wolf, snake, fill in the blank, you get the fangs. Mess with a vigilante, that's a whole nother matter." Stryder obviously had the other two pretty much taken care of, and Vigilon had only one problem in front of him. He noticed that Veriost was helping him out, blasting ice-cold frost breath at the bear. "Fo!!!" "Nice to know you can do that, Veriost!" The small dragon smiled back at Vigilon, and looked at him as if to say, "You kind of saved me, so I'll save you!" Vigilon had to think about that. "What could have possibly wanted to hurt him?" He had to think about that later, as well as the fact that he didn't exactly think he could correctly read Veriost's expressions. There was a bear to slay.

  6. Vigilon was preparing himself for anything, since he originally planned on exploring the floors. But when he soon received a message from Stryder, he decided to postpone his original plans. "Well, Veriost, you up for a minor fight or two? 'Cause it looks like I'm joining in on a quest." The small white dragon just looked at him, as if to say, "It better not put me in danger." "If you're concerned about dying, I don't think you have to worry. Any monsters would probably try tearing me apart instead. But I usually don't pick fights I can't win." He left for the second floor, and when he got close to Stryder's location, he wondered if there was anything else in the quest besides fighting, or what the fighting was about. He saw Stryder, and began running towards him, but stopped, and looked around, unsure of the current situation. "Is it just me, or is this a perfect situation for a monster attack?"

    @Stryder

  7. "Vigilon." He didn't know much about Domarus, but he kept his words stored in his memory. After pretty much nobody else arrived, Wardege mentioned that he wanted to search for a familiar. That was when Vigilon noticed something. He looked to his shoulder, and saw that under his light armor trench coat, was a pretty large bump. He stuck his finger under the light armor, and nudged what the lump was. Veriost came out sleepily, seemingly oblivious to the fact that she was asleep under his armor, since she usually slept on his shoulder. "Grraawwwwnn...." "Looks like you were asleep on my shoulder when I equipped the armor for the day." Vigilon thought about what to say about Wardege's question, especially with the experience he had when searching for Veriost. "Well, first, it would be a good idea to search on this floor, unlike myself. I was dared to search on floor 4, although if I wasn't, I wouldn't have found Veriost here. Second, It would help if you had something that helps you with loot and searching, which I don't exactly have anything with that kind of thing to give or loan to you at the moment..." Veriost looked at Wardege curiously, tilting her head to the side.

    @Wardege @Domarus

  8. Veriost seemed to like her name almost instantly, and Vigilon found himself with a small dragon snuggling up on his shoulder. "I've met someone who had a small dragon for a familiar. Itzal. He helped me start off." As Veriost got comfortable, Sey said something about a Familiar section in a players guide, something Vigilon, in all this time, somehow hadn't really heard of it! "A players guide? Wait, that actually exists!?" Vigilon had almost forgotten something, but he remembered it in five seconds. "Right, I'll be returning the borrowed gear then." After he returned the gear, he smiled and said, "Thanks for helping me out! I'm sure we might see each other again!" As Vigilon was returning to the safe zone, he heard yet another noise, the same as before, and Veriost crawled into his light armor hastily. A shadow passed by them, and Vigilon looked to see if Veriost was okay. "Grmmmmmm......." The poor thing was shuddering, as if she feared something. Whatever that shadow was cast by, it couldn't have been anything good. When Vigilon returned to Snowfrost, he received a notice on his menu, stating that he had completed a quest named <<Feeding the Enemy>>. He looked back at Veriost, who was asleep on his shoulder, and smiled. "I'm sure the two of us will get along just fine."

  9. "Yup, I still remember that evening. Despite how eerie the atmosphere of the place is, it is kind of good to pay respects to the fallen players." Vigilon wondered how he would react if he entered the room of resurrection and saw the name of a friend or ally crossed off... He would probably seek vengeance on whatever the cause was, be it a monster, or a PKer. Putting the thought aside, he returned to the present. Shield had just returned the light armor to Vigilon, mentioning thorns. "Thorns...Yeah, that is something that pretty much helps almost all builds, in my opinion. This ought to help if I mess up in avoiding an attack. I don't think I need anything else today, but I'll be sure to remember you if I need something appraised. Thank you very much!" As Vigilon left, he felt more confident about his defenses, and perhaps exploring the floors 1-6 wouldn't be so terrifying after all, but he did remember that he should remain cautious in case of anything he couldn't handle.

    Enhancements:  Familiar mastery: Fighter

    Description:  Veriost is a small, white dragon with ice blue eyes and horns. She is a bit of a picky eater(okay, a lot of a picky eater), and is usually active. Whenever she’s not, you can easily find her sleeping on Vigilon’s shoulder. She reacts easily, and will blast her foes with ice-cold frost breath. However, Veriost grows attached to her name quickly, and thus it couldn’t be changed when Vigilon soon realized that she is a girl.

    If I got anything wrong at all, please let me know. This is my first time having something evaluated, after all. There was also a minor mix-up in the roll purpose(My mistake), and I was told what the roll was really for after I first posted it. O-O

  11. Vigilon listened carefully, taking note in his head as many notes and/or key points as possible. "Well, I guess the general goal for most of us at the moment is to survive in Aincrad and possibly clear the game. I don't know when or if it will happen, but the hope of survival and escape is part of what drives us. That shall be the foundation of a Guild I plan to start, the belief and hope that we will survive." As he said this, he scanned the area, looking for anything at all.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Vigilon thought he heard something, and he saw what appeared to look like icicles sticking out of a snow mound. He drew closer to it, and it moved!? Vigilon backed up a little, and realized it was a small dragon that had camouflaged in the snow! "Ah, n-nice dragon..." Apparently, it was only interested in not getting into any trouble, because it settled down after Vigilon backed away slightly. He decided to lay down something for it. Problem was, the only thing he could feed it would be the opposite to what he expected a familiar from this floor would even eat. The seemingly useless item he found...An Ice cream cone. A freaking Ice cream cone. "What the heck are you doing, Vigilon? This whole floor is ice cold! What good is that frozen treat gonna do?" Vigilon waited for the small dragon to either remain sitting there or do something. It slowly walked over to the object, not sure what it was. "Grrrrmmm?" It looked at it curiously at first, then after a single nibble it completely dug in, devouring the treat in about half a minute. "Huh, I actually didn't think that would work." It then looked at Vigilon, as if it were trying to see through him, and soon climbed up on his shoulder and smiled. "Hmm...I think I should name you at some point...Well, why not now?" He thought for a minute, and decided on the name Veriost. "I think the name suits him." Vigilon noted, not realizing the small dragon was actually a girl.

  12. Vigilon was aware that there were people who could or couldn't be trusted if they were able to kill someone. Especially in a game like this, caution was important to him. After all, Vigilon did not want to end up dying from being tricked or deceived, let alone at all in this game. When it came to MMOs in general, players who enjoyed killing other players were Vigilon's personal targets. Sometimes he would stay near them, acting like a neutral, or possible ally to them before putting a stop to them. Other times, if he was strong enough to fight without worry of defeat, he would simply strike them at the least expected moment and attempt to teach them a thing or two. However, there was always the chance that he would underestimate the opponent. "Well, usually, if I'm actually strong enough, when it came to MMOs and MMORPGs unlike this one, I would deal with those players often, and give them a taste of their own medicine. I guess you could consider me a vigilante, regarding the fact that I don't really like it when players take on an evil role and try to murder or dominate. I just like putting a stop to such things. But in this game, I've never felt so powerless. Not even in real life..."

    @Sey

  13. Vigilon almost freaked out when he noticed that the conversation had just taken a "slight" nose-dive. "Wh-what? No! I wasn't asking to fight or anything! I was only recalling one of the experiences I often had! ...This is the worst time and place for me to be looking or asking for trouble at the moment..." He thought about other things to talk about, even if it was a similar topic, without risk of harm, that is. Not finding much success in his thoughts at the moment, he continued to search for mats as he walked and thought.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    He didn't find much on his own, but the holes Kyu dug would occasionally be found to have revealed something of value, like another gemstone, for example. "It seems to me that Kyu is good at finding things, but doesn't seem interested in keeping the materials." Vigilon wondered if he should try adding a different topic to the conversation, but he had some trouble with it. He blamed his introversion for being the cause of why he seemed to be so terrible at a typical conversation.

  14. Let's roll, shall we!?

    Unable to catch up(Man, those two were fast!), Vigilon began to sprint, but failed to pay attention to his surroundings and tripped. He looked at the rock he had tripped on. A gemstone could be seen from the surface of the rock. "Darn stupid rock," He grumbled as he got the gem out of the stone. He got up, looked at the chase scene that was getting smaller, and sighed. "Best of luck to you, prankster, I can't help you here." He looked the other way, and remembered something. He was hoping to help the new guy out! And here Vigilon was, embarrassed over his latest issue. He walked over to Stryder and the other player, listening carefully as he got closer. Ganking low level mobs? Even Vigilon had trouble with that when he was level 2! Then again, he didn't need to fear anything when he had help. "So you want to start off fighting mobs, do you? I admit you seem quite courageous with those words, but perhaps you should take a more cautious approach. Looking for materials is a good way to start, but if you insist on fighting, we can help you out so nobody dies."

  15. Vigilon began looking around for a good merchant who could appraise his new light armor. Although he only had one material to spare, he could at least try. He noticed an area that stood out, and he started his way towards the plateau. It was almost terrifying when he knew dangerous monsters lurked in the floor he was in. Giant Insects or not, the higher the floors were, the deadlier the monsters would be. Once he reached his destination, surprisingly without any unwanted encounters on the way, he let out a sigh of relief. The place was certainly large, with multiple buildings. Vigilon made his way into the shop, and once he was greeted by Shield, he replied with, "I'm here to have an Item appraised. I only have one mat to spare, but I can at least hope to see if there's more to this light armor than I thought."

  16. Vigilon liked the rare light armor as soon as he received it. He also noticed that the remaining one material was returned to him. "Thanks, I've pretty much been needing this since...I think I lost count, and I've only started off a few days ago!" He began to wonder what should be done about the leftover material, then began to consider taking a trip to a merchant. "So, I've heard of a place where players tend to go in order to relax, but it's a waterfall on floor 6, probably outside the safe zone, so I thought I should go explore the floors once I'm prepared." Vigilon thought about his current plans for the future. He knew that he was very close to starting a Guild, but he needed some allies who weren't affiliated with any Guilds yet. He left and made his way to the next place he would stop, and it seemed as if this preparations trip would take a while...

    +Sunset's Light

    1 T1 mat returned to Vigilon

  17. "That's certainly something to think about." Vigilon agreed. "I prefer the sword myself. After all, I've even practiced swordplay in the real world, although I never had an actual opponent before this game, unless my big sister had a bad day and needed someone to vent on." Vigilon sighed, remembering those days, in which he usually had more bruises added to his weekly injuries. They were bruises because the swords were made of wood, but could still deal a decent bruising blow(obviously). Sure, he had his occasional victory, but that usually led to an angrier older sister who would challenge him to a rematch and add more bruises to his collection. He scanned the area as he walked and explained his weapon of choice.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    He noticed something sparkling in one of the holes Kyu had dug. He picked it up, and stashed the gemstone in his inventory. He patiently waited for the next few words.

  18. Vigilon listened carefully to the others, and when Domarus asked him about the Emerald Harbingers, he decided to be honest. "Well, I don't know that much about them. I do know that they help new players to rise, and that they are lead by that fox Atzo. That's literally all I know about them at the moment." A shaking, crumbling rock was certainly easier to fall off of than a shaking boulder. Nevertheless, Vigilon struck the rock with haste, hoping to get this over with.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    That could have gone better, if the boulder had stopped shaking, that is. After his failed strike, he almost fell off the boulder. Hanging on the top with one hand, about four feet above the ground, he sighed and said, "Just my luck." He had been through enough embarrassing moments as it is. He wasn't going to have that happen again. As he climbed back on top of the boulder, he explained his thoughts on Wardege's comment. "It's kind of like a system, really. A Tank is good at absorbing the enemy's attacks, but usually don't focus on their damage. The DPS takes on the enemy with full force, with the Tank keeping the enemy focused on them. The Scout, so I've heard, is good at scouting the area, staying hidden from sight, and gathering loads of loot, which benefits all their allies. Finally, the Healers, with the right skills, is an HP powerhouse to themselves and others, allowing their allies to keep fighting. In short, should all builds be involved in a single party or Guild, the group in question will be quite formidable from teamwork and variety."

  19. Vigilon started his way towards Stryder's shop. It was time he'd gotten his hands on better armor, and he had...about three mats he could give to Stryder for the light armor. During his trip, the sunset was drawing near. The shop seemed a bit simple from the outside, but it was much better, Vigilon thought, on the inside. He gazed at the stars for a while, then suddenly remembered why he was here. "Sorry if I seem a little late. Here are the materials." Vigilon thought carefully about the enhancements he would like. "If there's only one slot, I would go with Mitigation. I may be DPS and Scout, but I still need to stay alive in the first place. If possible, I would like the other enhancement(s) to be evasion." After giving the remaining specifics, he found a seat in the lounge where he could settle down and wait in.

  20. Vigilon listened carefully to the terms of renting it. It was certainly cheaper than buying it, allowing Vigilon to buy consumable items that could heal and give him a buff or two later on. "I'll be sure to remember that." Vigilon was almost surprised at the fact that Domarus ran the store. Then again, he did recognize the maid from the time that he made an attempt to shatter a rock. "I'll try to mention this place and the ability to rent the next time someone says they're looking for an artisan. There doesn't seem to be many artisans' shops open at the moment..." Vigilon paid for the first day in advance, and left with the rented trinket. "This is better than no evasive item." He thought. "This will surely help me with any monster that tries to come near me. I don't necessarily want to find any trouble while I aquaint myself with the other floors..."

  21. Vigilon was considering bringing some things with him while he did some minor exploration. He had heard of a mystical waterfall in floor 6, and he wanted to go there prepared in case anything came after him. "Probably something that could make me quicker." he thought. He asked players around if they knew of an artisan that he could buy/rent from. Soon he heard rumors about The Painter's Stones. Interested, he searched for the shop. When he entered, he looked at his surroundings. To Vigilon, the decorations seemed regal-ish and expensive, but pretty cool. He looked at what was in stock, thinking about what he would need and if it was for long. "I only need something for a small while, perhaps I could rent it, seeing as I will need to still have a decent amount of Col for potions and such."  When the shopkeeper, dressed like a maid, greeted him and asked him "how they may serve him today", his reply was, "I'd like to rent 'Divine Grace'."

    @Domarus

  22. OOC: Long Live the Queen? Um, I looked at that quest recently. I think I need to at least reach level 6 or 7 to avoid certain problems...

    Vigilon attempted to smile at Stryder's joke, but he usually reacted to puns aimed at him, including the occasional bully fight, which usually ended in a loss between both Viglilon and the one bullying him. Of course, this wasn't an insult, so Vigilon kept that clear in his head to avoid habitual reactions. However, Vigilon still hoped that there would be a day when he wouldn't have to worry about being called boar bait. He scanned the area while Stryder tripped and found leather.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    He didn't find anything, but he did have hopes for the future. "I'll be sure to contact you if I ever need your help, Stryder." Sunset was coming, and Vigilon knew he had to return to the safe zone for now. There were obviously more things for him to do, but that would probably need to come later. "I'm sure there will be lots for me to do tomorrow." he said as he entered the town of beginnings.

  23. It really didn't matter to Vigilon whether it took a while or not. Vigilon handed over the materials and received the sword. He equipped the sword and held it, trying to get a feel for it. He sheathed the blade and said, "I couldn't possibly ask for anything better, or anywhere else than this. Thank you." Vigilon felt better off with this weapon than many others, and he was sure this weapon just might keep himself and others alive. He was certain he would have better luck in combat with this weapon. Of course, he also felt the need to introduce himself. "My name is Vigilon. At the moment, I'm considering starting a Guild, one that helps others to grow stronger, and survive this death game in general." He noticed the creator's name tag. "Teion, hm? Nice name. I don't know if I'll end up seeing you again, but I'll be looking forward to it."

  24. Vigilon remained cautious, knowing that he and Sey were currently outside the safe zone, a hostile monster could appear, although he was relieved to see that the unfriendly monsters merely continued to mind their own business, instead of attack. He saw Kyu digging in the snow, and wondered if anything useful could be found in the holes.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    Nothing so far. Vigilon continued to dwell on the possibilities of what he and Sey could talk about. Perhaps they could share memories of each other's past? It seemed to be a downright ridiculous idea to Vigilon, but he did trust Sey enough for him to share. Besides, there wasn't much else to talk about at the moment. "So...I hate to seem rude or anything, but is there anything you can tell me about your past? I'll be sure to share my own experiences as well if you do." "There just doesn't seem to be anything else to talk about at the moment. Maybe I can find something else to talk about in case the conversation ends earlier than I expected."

  25. Vigilon almost fell off the boulder when Domarus struck it. Either way, he wasn't giving up.

    Let's roll, shall we!?

    After his fist struck the boulder, a crack appeared on the top where he struck it. "Won't be long now," he thought. When Wardege asked Vigilon if he could talk to the other players about himself, he hesitated, and said, "Mabye, but for now, this rock's going down, one punch at a time!" He also had been thinking about what Domarus had said. "Well, I do intend to start a Guild. I don't know very much about the current Guilds, but two Guilds in particular have given me some slight inspiration on how I should run it. The Celestial Ascendants, and The Emerald Harbingers. Sure, I have other things and Ideas, but the inspiration will build up my plans for the Guild. I'm still planning the possibilities though. Both the Paladin setup for the Celestial Ascendants and the Emerald Harbingers' Council show me some things about having everyone cover each other's weaknesses. I guess, since I plan on using the method of covering weaknesses with others' strengths for my Guild, but I am going to stick with most of my original ideas, there's a small chance that the Guild I start may look like some kind of middle ground between the two I got inspiration from. After all, it looks like that now, from how the plans appear to me, but I intend to change that so it doesn't seem like a ripoff of either."
