Vigilon was not comforted at all at the realization that there were more misplaced stalagmites... "Don't mind me, I was lost in thought at the time..." He grabbed chunks of stone that used to be one of the unusual stalagmites, and threw these pieces at another stalagmite, and kept going. Although he didn't stop til he had destroyed the stalagmites with thrown stones(Which were pretty big), he got nothing out of it. Still, to Vigilon it seemed nice to be in a NORMAL forest this time, although it was littered with chunks of rock. He looked at the materials he currently had. "This should be good, I guess." Then Atzo proceeded to talk about AI, and things that Vigilon wished he could understand. "While I would love to know what most of that meant, I don't know if there is anything else I need to do to become a blacksmith. Any thoughts?"

OOC: So I'm just going to have the thread closed once we've reached page 3. Of course, since the Quest takes place in the first floor, Will we need to go there or something? Last time I checked, we are in floor 2, right?

Vigilon was still under the tree, but he faintly heard a small commotion a few yards away, and got up. "Come on, Veriost. Sounds like something could be wrong." As he walked towards where the sounds came from, he looked at the ground, finding nothing interesting at all. If it was monsters, he might be able to help out. If it was just an argument, he would just leave whoever they were be. If it was an assault from someone, he would see if he was strong enough to face the assailant. With half of a plan in mind, he considered the remaining possibilities, and then continued straight toward where the sounds came from. When he arrived in the scene, he saw two players. One male, the other female. The male player was holding a rock, claiming that monsters were throwing rocks at him and laughing at him. "Excuse me, I hate to intrude, but is there something going on here in which I can help?"

Vigilon saw Wardege introduce himself in the way he usually, practically always, did. He facepalmed and muttered under his breath, "Ugh, not again..." To Vigilon, Wardege needed to stop introducing himself that way, 'cause as far as Vigilon knew, it would have him accepted with open arms, but in the wrong way. Vigilon was usually slow to trust, and he easily got suspicious of things. It wasn't like you could blame him though, since this game was now a life or death situation, and the fact that whenever he played games that involved other players online, there were times when he had to be cautious or the villainous players would find him out and try to kill him constantly to keep him weak or intimidated, and finally include the fact that he had seen some things from the real world, including murder. "Well, unless you use the materials to craft things, or to pay for items, they're absolutely useless." Vigilon backed up a little when the player nudged Wardege, saying something that, even though it wasn't directed toward him, made him feel uncomfortable. Trying to avoid feeling uncomfortable even further, or worse, begin to turn reddish or something out of embarrassment, he decided to answer the next question the player asked. "Me? I set out today for various reasons."
-
Vigilon rushed over to Veriost, and picked her up, saying, "Veriost, WHY? Did you really have to do that? You could have gotten permanent wounds! Or worse, died! Do you realize any of this?!?!" Veriost growled weakly at Rhozarth, then looked at Vigilon as if to say, "That dragon's more powerful than I anticipated. Waaaayy more. How is a little one like myself going to prove a point like this?" With that expression, Vigilon was completely confused. "He was doing both? I don't get it...I'll have to do my research on dragons, I guess." However, before he could put his mind to that subject, he heard a snarl and turned around. "What are you doing trying to feed a boar, Wardege?!?" Wardege then called out for Vigilon to take Veriost to safety, since she was wounded. He helped Veriost into hiding within his light armor, then said, "You sure you can handle it on your own? I'm not gonna stop you, but I'll intervene if necessary!"
OOC: On a ridiculous note, "Rhozarth used Outrage! It's super effective!"
-
Vigilon had to think of how he should respond to Wardege's question, since there was pretty much multiple answers to it. "The time is fast approaching, so I set off to see if I have what it takes. If I don't, I'll take advantage of this venture to fill those holes and develop any needed qualities." He stopped, hearing some rustling in the grass. He turned around, ready to draw his sword in case a monster was nearby, but instead a player called out a question to him and Wardege. He looked down to see if there was anything in the overgrowth of grass he was standing on, but there was nothing there. "Kinda complicated, really. Materials can be found almost all over this game, but it happens to be very hit or miss. Whether it is weird or not depends on how a player sees it, really." Veriost tilted her head to the side, looking at the player curiously.

Vigilon didn't exactly mind waiting for a decent item. If it kept him alive, better he waited than not getting anything at all. The finished item obviously seemed different in a way that set itself apart from any of his current gear. Veriost woke up, noticed the necklace, and apparently took a defensive stance towards something that obviously wasn't alive. "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....." "What is there to worry about, Veriost? It's just an item that might keep us alive. Anyways, sure, I'll take it. Kinda looks a bit intimidating to Veriost apparently... Thanks though." "Hmm, was the glow from the unusual powder? It has to be. Still, I find myself hesitating to wear it at the moment... I-I Can't show it here! I'm supposed to be courageous and the like! I can't be afraid of some dead tooth!" He equipped the lucky charm, and it appeared around his neck. It seemed to contrast from his other equipped gear. He left knowing that he would need to gather some more courage later on, but not without caution.

Vigilon had been trying to get a lay of the land here in the third floor. He saw some ore sticking out of the ground, and pulled it out(With some minor difficulty). There wasn't much to see in the plains beside Delilah, but there was the occasional tree, material, or mob. He found a tree and stopped to rest for a bit. Veriost, as usual, was sleeping on his shoulder, and Vigilon nudged her awake. "There doesn't seem to be much on this floor so far, but hard to see when there aren't many ways to get an overhead view. What do you think?" Veriost stretched her wings and legs, yawned, and proceeded to fly around Vigilon in a circle or two before landing on his shoulder, and looking at him as if to say, "I'll say. There's practically nothing here! Is this all that this place is made of?" Vigilon chuckled, and thought for a minute before giving a reply. "For a game like this? There's probably more to this floor than we might think, but I don't know for sure."

Vigilon walked towards the edge of the safe zone, hoping to see if there was something missing towards being capable of leadership, and possibly some players. Right now, he was making sure he had what he needed. He had his armor and Sword, and he had his small white frost dragon, Veriost, who, as usual, was asleep on his shoulder. "If I'm planning to start a Guild, I'm gonna need to see if I have what it takes, as well as if there is anything missing, which I will work to fill..." Veriost opened her eyes sleepily, and stretched her wings. "Grraawwwnnn...." A half-smile appeared on Vigilon's face. "Nice to know you're awake. Say, do you think there is anything unlike the usual that might happen if I just spontaneously set off like I'm doing right now?" Veriost simply rolled her eyes, and smiled at Vigilon as if to signal that she had no problem and was ready.

Got it. I also just heard from Itzal that I can search on lower floors if I donate. I so wish I could afford to Donate, however...
Anyway, Thanks!

Is it possible to find a sub dungeon in the first floor, or will I have to search on a higher floor?

"You're welcome, Gryas!" Vigilon was able to take a good look at the weapon. It was pretty short, but definitely a blade. "It's a Dagger. Figures, I have no use for this. But someone else might..." Veriost looked at the dagger, then back at Vigilon. "Grrmmm?" "Guess I'll be going to Shield's shop again, probably soon. I don't know the right moment or situation to give this dagger to someone who needs it, so perhaps knowing the enhancements might help. As for the consumable, it looks like I will have to take that to him too. Heck, I still have to find and start MY place. This habit of bench crashing will have to end soon. I gotta find a good place for me to start my own shop. Of course, regarding my luck, it's probably in one floors above this one, outside the safe zone..." Vigilon decided to let his next action be Gryas's call.

Vigilon looked back to the ground, where grass was growing. Then he realized something was very wrong, and he didn't exactly notice it before, due to being lost in thought. "Wait, how...What...Is...A... Freaking stalagmite doing in the forest?!? ....Isn't this kind of thing the Cardinal should be looking for or something? This can't have been originally planned. It's either a glitch, or that time you accidentally place something that doesn't belong and don't notice it. However, The Cardinal should have known about this by now!" He found another crack in the dislocated stalagmite, and threw the chunk that he had previously removed at it. The force was enough to reduce it to stones and pebbles, but there was nothing useful to be found on the ground either. He lifted his hand to catch the ore chunk that was thrown at him. The hand got close to the head, but at least he was getting better at avoiding ridiculously absurd and embarrassing situations.

Vigilon took notice of the increase of players in the vicinity. "Gryas, Wardege, Zid, nice to see you guys again!" He turned directly to Gryas and Wardege. "So the other day, I realized something. Turns out, Veriost here is a girl. I feel so ridiculous not being able to figure such a simple thing out..." "Grrmmm..." Veriost was watching one of the players curiously, and Vigilon turned to see two players, one of them, which Veriost was watching, seemed to be hoping to avoid trouble, going around them, and the other came up and offered to help. "Well, with something like this, we might need some help. I wouldn't worry about dying though, that is, as long as we keep the enemies' eyes on us rather than you." He put his hand into his pocket, finding the song crystal that could heal an entire party for about 45 HP. "Glad I've still got this, I can use it to avoid casualties..." He looked around before standing firm to say, "So from what the NPCs are saying, some boars have been growing aggressive and harassing anyone that comes near, as well as trying to assault the Town of Beginnings. This I definitely consider a threat, since I don't want any new players getting killed easily in only ten yards from the safe zone." He thought about it first, then proceeded to open the menu and sent a mass party invite that reached all the players, and, unintentionally, the player trying to avoid the situation. "Whoops. Ah, anyways, the invite is purely optional."

Vigilon hesitated before his hand reached to open the chest. He found some Col, some materials that Gryas could use, a weapon, and two consumables that he couldn't discern. "Alright, I think you could use these." He handed the Col, Mats, and one of the consumables to Gryas. "That's a pretty good potion for the first try. Now I definitely think you should be an alchemist." Veriost jumped on Vigilon's head and grinned at Gryas. "Grrmm..." Vigilon chuckled, and nudged Veriost until she jumped down onto his shoulder. "I guess I'll keep searching for mats after I see what this stuff is." Vigilon turned back to the chest, picking up the remaining items one by one. It didn't look like he could figure out what the consumable was anytime soon, but maybe he could find out what type of weapon was in the chest. Veriost looked at the items curiously, then looked back to Vigilon. "Grrm?"

OOC: Consumables can only be Identified by a merchant, so you'll have to take a trip to one to find out what the consumable I gave you is, as well as it's enhancement. As for me, I can determine the weapon type here, then find it's enhancements via merchant.

Vigilon stopped, feeling like his mind was read. "Atzo, I have no idea how you do it, but you are reading my mind! I too, intend to be a DPS Scout. I honestly have no knowledge of the optimal way to form a Healer build, but Itzal might know something on that build..." He saw a cracked stalagmite and managed to separate it from the crack, but found nothing interesting inside. "There's sure to be more, I guess." Vigilon decided that, detailed build or not, he couldn't possibly get through all of this without some help of some kind. "If i'm going to survive...yup, I'd definitely be better off with a Guild...But I'm not entirely interested in joining the available ones as of late...Perhaps I could wait for one good enough for me, or I could start one instead...However, I'll have to get stronger to do so, AND find players who trust me, and I'd have to trust them..." He continued to ponder this, still slightly aware of the other two, so he could share his thoughts, or to answer questions directed to him.

Vigilon fights strategically. I don't know about stance and such, but he looks for weaknesses and openings to strike, when he finds them, that is. He usually leaves an opening on the opponent so his allies, or his mini-dragon, Veriost, can attack with ease. However, it's not always easy for Vigilon to find weaknesses in general, and he kind of sees less, although becomes more determined for Victory, when pissed off. He always tries to keep at least a minor analysis on the battle, helping him know which battle tactic to use.
-
Vigilon had overslept this time, and upon this he practically jumped off the bench that he was asleep on. He had been bench crashing for weeks, maybe a month, since he started. To him, it was the cheapest way to sleep if he had no property. Veriost was accidentally, practically thrown off of Vigilon's chest, where she was sleeping, but she easily made an aerial recovery via her wings. "Graaarrrrmmmmm.... Grrraaaaa!!!!" "Sorry about that, Veriost! Man, we had a long day yesterday!" Veriost flew over to and landed on Vigilon's shoulder, promptly falling back asleep. "Of course you would do that." He really had a long day yesterday. He had traveled to floor 6 for a bit, and found a waterfall that seemed to bring him to a place in which the area itself and the enemies within depended on the player in the area. "What could possibly happen today, unless something were to happen, that is."
OOC: If either of you are concerned about combat, you don't need to worry. I'll just take the hate, thus any enemies will target me instead.

As Vigilon walked outside the safe zone, and Veriost stared at Rhozarth, he scanned the area, finding nothing he could use. "There isn't really much to talk about when it comes to Guilds at this point. It's pretty much kicking a dead horse as well as arguing without yelling and being at each others' throats. Like there could possibly be anything else to know about my future Guild." Vigilon felt a little invaded, with all the questions Domarus seemed to be asking him here and there. Veriost flew off of Vigilon's shoulder, and began flying in circles, apparently still watching Rhozarth. "Now what's he doing this time? It's not like Veriost is trying to find something out, there isn't anything else to see at the moment. Then again, I've seen Domarus before, Veriost hasn't...Wait, is he looking at his dragon!?" Veriost landed in front of Rhozarth, and took a stance that Vigilon recognized. He realized what she was about to do. She was either planning to spar, or have a deadly chat with Domarus's Familiar, from what it looked like. Either way, Vigilon doubted it would end well. "Don't even think about it." She let out her frost breath anyway. "Fo!!!"

Vigilon noticed that Gryas was finding plenty in the bushes so far, then saw another set of bushes, and decided to have a go. Although he originally intended to find a material concealed in the bushes, he moved some branches out of the way to, apparently, turn up a chest! "Um, hey, Gryas? I think you might be interested in the contents of what I found." Veriost's jaw dropped when she noticed the chest. "Well, if you can't look over, look under, I guess." "Graaaaaaaaaa........." Vigilon then wondered about who should open it. "The reason for me to open it is because if it's a trap or something, I can easily deal with it. Should I find anything, I should split it. However, if Gryas would appreciate being the one to open it...Well, I don't exactly want this player ending up in extreme harm's way." He kept his eyes on the chest, and with his left hand, closed Veriost's maw.
ID# 85756 LD: 15(Found Chest)
OOC: I'd like to be the one who opens the chest, since if I roll a 3 or lower, a dangerous mob will spawn, and attack the one who opened the chest.
-
Vigilon thought for a minute as he looked for anything that Gryas might need. However, he found nothing. "Figures, nothing. Then again, this is only the front of the area..." He assumed that they should find more mats before diving in to the purpose of the trip. "I appreciate that you're eager to dive in, but maybe it would be a good Idea to gather a bit more first...? I admit, I don't know much about how we are supposed to do this thing..." Veriost flew up to Vigilon, looking at him as if to say, "Well, there's not much here, but there could be more ahead." "At least you tried. Besides, I'm not having much luck either." Despite all the diverse variety of plants, the amount of materials was thinner than first expected. Then again, Vigilon felt like he was stuck in rates, a flip of the coin, a roll of the dice, so to speak.

Vigilon struck the rock, failing to deal damage to it yet again, and he sighed in minor frustration. "No way am I giving up on this boulder. Not now, not today, not ever." He just needed a crit, if not two successful hits, to finish this thing. "Well, every Guild does need a goal, and a reason to work towards it. Otherwise, the so called 'Guild' has no purpose, and ends up nowhere. There is more than one way to define pride, thus it could be for good, or for bad. Arrogance is another flaw that causes people to fall, that remains true. I prefer to deal with something vital. Survival. Perhaps if players got together, helped each other get up on their feet, and trained for any fight they might need to participate in...Well, I will say perhaps a solid goal can help, but if a Guild also remains flexible, they might discover other purposes for their endeavors. I won't forget that we should train players who the Guild I plan to start takes under wing, not baby them or anything."

Vigilon had gone through a lot at the waterfall in floor 6 yesterday, and he was ready to return what he had rented, and purchase something to replace it. "Hmm... Should I see what he has in stock, or should I see what he could make from the mats I have... Either way, I'm coming here for two reasons..." He opened the door, once again greeted by a shopkeeper dressed like a maid. Veriost looked at Vigilon, and gave of a "Hfff.", and fell asleep from lack of interest in what was currently happening. "I'm here for two things. One, to return Divine Grace, two, to see what Domarus can make with these." He placed five things on the counter. Iron chains, a ruby, an unusual blackish powderlike substance which had a soft glow of bluish violet, bear claws, and a fang. "I can pay Col for the rent, and materials for a lucky charm."

Vigilon was back at the pillar. Four ash piles where the doors once stood still remained. Vigilon walked over to the ashes of the fourth door, and...Why didn't he see that there? He dug in the ash pile and picked up a tooth, only it wasn't a tooth, but a fang. "A fang? What significance could this possibly have if it counts as a material?" Vigilon said, looking carefully at it. Veriost took an inspecting look as well, then looked at Vigilon as if to say, "This tooth looks familiar...Awfully familiar..." He stashed the fang in his inventory. Perhaps he should pay a visit to Domarus's shop, The Painter's Stones. The hooded Vigilon walked over to the two. "You both look ready to go. Shall I bring you both back?" "Sure." "Graaa!" "Alright. Sit down, close your eyes, and relax..." When Vigilon opened his eyes, he was back at the waterfall, and the sun was starting to set. Veriost was asleep, just as Vigilon expected. "Alright, Veriost, you better be awake when I fulfill my promise."

Vigilon continued searching, even though his latest attempt was a miserable failure. Nothing. Again. "I am really getting sick of this. Am I ever going to find something? I just feel like something is missing. If there is something I need to take with me, but I don't find it...nah, it can't be that important, but this is my only chance..." Vigilon and Veriost looked at each other. This was taking longer than the two originally thought. "What exactly would I be looking for if there was something important that was missing... Three interesting Items, an unusual ruby, black iron chains, and strange powder... It's like there should be one more...What could it be? And what could this mean?" "Thinking deeply, and out loud too. Some people would consider that interesting, others won't. But that doesn't matter here. What matters is what you seem to be pondering." "Well, maybe. I guess."

[OP-F1-NK] A search to discover a Leader's properties(Open combat/Mat Thread)
in Beginner Floors
Posted · Edited by Vigilon
"So from what I'm hearing, you're a thrill seeker and a challenge chaser, in a way. I hate to bring up the problem, but in a game like this, challenging is usually more trouble than it's worth. Sure, there is organized PvP around this game, but I honestly haven't heard of any duels in a place where the HP cannot go below 1, so I can't help you there. However, should I find that a player I could take on has killed, in a duel or typical murder, I will look into the matter. If there were no good intentions," He drew his weapon, White Blade, to make a point. "Let's just say they would regret it. How else would I treat the matter? In various games, I always worked like a vigilante, so to speak." He sheathed his blade. "Need something for unarmed damage, eh?" He began looking through the overgrowth again, this time searching thoroughly. Absolutely nothing. "Nothing. Well, anyways, a tailor can make something that can increase unarmed damage, which in turn, can also increase the damage done with the martial arts skill. You can get that skill by smashing a boulder to dust with only your fists, and the boulder is on floor 2. There are two ways to pay for it, though. One way is Col, the general currency of the game. The other way is...materials. In this case, we would be giving them things they could use, which in a tailor's case, would be things like leather, cotton, things like that." The player asked a blunt question, and the color on Vigilon's face lost it and turned red as he dragged his eyes straight to the ground. In conversations, he would look them in the eyes, right now, he was too uncomfortable to even keep doing that. He shook off the feeling. "Weeeelllll, I'm just gonna pretend you never asked that..."
