Fae

Fae continued to hug Eatos, her tears slowly going away as she calmed down. Eatos promised that she would get her home, and Fae nodded her head a few times. "Thank you miss Eatos. Fae will do what Fae can to help out." Fae thanked, moving out of the hug and went to walking again. She petted Angel on the head again and started to skip again. The green river was getting wider as they walked alongside it, but it remained green all the way through.

Fae was a bit surprised when Eatos offered that Fae can stay with her anytime, since Eatos and Thorsten were friends in the real world apparently. "Ooh! So can Fae stay with you tonight miss Eatos? Daddy could use a little break from me. But, does this mean you can be Fae's mommy? You've been so nice to Fae, more nice than Fae's actual mommy. Just please be my mommy while we're in this game, okay?" Fae asked, looking up at Eatos, with her big smile again. Eatos and Thorsten were already friends in the real world, so Fae didn't see a problem with Eatos being her mommy.

Fae just about as captivated as Angel was the green water in the river. There was just something about the water being a different color than normal that kept Fae so interested in it. Then Eatos got the big smile om her face and Fae started to giggle. Once again, Fae managed to get a genuine smile out of someone. "Fae doesn't know about anyone else, but Fae feels super duper safe in this guild. But you're right about the front lines thing. Fae doesn't really want to be up there fighting bosses, it sounds scary. Fae just wants to live. Fae wants to see her mommy and daddy in the real world again. All of the other kids Fae's age are gone, so Fae has to be a little more grown up to have friends. You guys in the guild mean the world to Fae." Fae said, a few tears forming in her eyes. Fae hugged Eatos again, burying her face in Eatos's belly, crying a little bit. "Fae gets so scared when she isn't with you guys. Don't ever die on Fae alright? Fae would miss you so much." Fae sobbed, before looking up at Eatos with a smile. The tears in her eyes were a mix of sadness and joy.

Even of it was just through the name, Fae still wanted to pay tribute to Trixie, a fallen player Fae had known. By naming her familiar after Trixie, Fae felt that a part of Trixie would be watching over her. Eatos didn't have to know the full explanation for the name yet, so Fae kept quiet about it. Fae continued to walk until they arrived at a point where the river cut off their path. Fae stepped onto a log that went over the river and walked along it and kept her balance until she was on the other side. "Fae would just walk through the river, but the algae looks gross to walk through." Fae said looking down at the water. Eatos answered Fae's question, saying that things had been slow lately, just enjoying herself. "That sounds nice. Fae is glad to hear that you're doing okay! Fae herself has been doing great too. Mister Thorsten is now Fae's daddy, and Fae lives with him right now too. Fae has met so many nice people in this guild, it was one of the best choices Fae has ever made in joining it. You, mister Stryder, Pin, mister Hei, and everyone else, we're all like a big family. Wouldn't you agree miss Eatos?" Fae asked as she looked through the canopy of leaves and up at the sky. It was so peaceful out here, just perfect to think about things.

Fae nodded in understanding when Eatos said that Angel was so important to her, hoping that Fae's familiar would be important to her. "Yeah, Fae is gonna name her familiar Trixie. Trixie is gonna keep Fae company when she's alone. Fae gets lonely a lot, so Fae can always Trixie to talk to and hang out with." Fae explained, picturing her chinchilla. Fae skipped alongside the green river humming to herself as she skipped through the forest. Fae watched the river, completely fascinated by it. "Miss Eatos, did you know that the green river is actually just full of algae? Fae just found that out today. So, how have you been miss Eatos? Anything super duper fun happen lately?" Fae asked, looking back up at Eatos as they started to walk under the shade of the forest. It was only slightly chilly, with winter almost ending now. Fae's cloak still kept her warm, but she could hardly even notice the difference.

Fae got just about as excited as Angel had gotten when she saw him. Fae petted Angel on the head as he jumped around her, giggling as she did so, always loving to see the husky. As soon as she could, Fae ran up and gave Eatos a quick hug, just as happy to see her as Angel. "It's okay miss Eatos. Fae is gonna have to deal with that kind of thing too when Fae gets her own chinchilla. Maybe Fae can go with you two to the lake after this!" Fae said eagerly, taking a few steps back from Eatos, looking up at her. Fae had her usual wide smile, looking forward to having fun with Eatos. "The chinchillas are supposed to be in the dedis... ededic... dedicious woods, which is in the south part of the floor. We just have to stay close to the green river and we won't get lost. Okay miss Eatos?" Fae asked, having a bit of trouble pronouncing decicious, walking out of the safe zone and starting to follow the green river.

Fae was walking around Friben Village, looking for the NPC that was supposed to start the quest that would let Fae tame her own familiar. It was rather easy, as the old gypsy walked up to her after only a few minutes of searching and explained that if she fed an animal, she would get to tame it. Fae had already brought a bunch of berries with her and had them stored in her pockets in her cloak. She had heard from plenty of people that this quest was tedious, so she wanted to go on it with a friend. Opening her menu, Fae found Eatos and sent her a quick message. Hey miss Eatos! Can you help Fae out on getting a familiar? Fae closed her menu and looked out at the green river. It was disgusting, but it still looked pretty. Fae was looking forward to getting her little chinchilla.

It had been a while since Fae had been to the first floor. After taking the first few steps and gaining levels, Fae never really bothered with going back except for quests. Fae always found it funny that every few weeks, new players would come out here after building up the courage to do so. 

Walking out on to the fields, Fae looked around at all of the players that were fighting against boars for their first or second time. To Fae, it was fun to watch them, seeing a bit of herself in the new players. Everyone started off fighting boars, it was like a tradition at this point. In the distance, Fae spotted a green haired player laying down with some of the boars and she walked over to where he was. Once Fae walked up to him, she sat down beside him and petted some of the sleeping animals. "Hi mister. Fae saw you sitting by yourself. Fae thought you wanted some company." Fae said, leaning up against the tree roots and looking up at the man. "It's kinda nostalgic watching the players fight boars out here. It reminds you of yourself doesn't it mister?" Fae asked, observing all of the players out in the field.

Fae got a solid grip on her dagger, getting a bit fed up even more with this boar. "Fae will get it this time, for sure!" Fae said, running towards the boar again, holding her dagger behind her to slash at it. Fae had lost count at how many times she missed the boar. Granted, Fae could hardly keep track of things like this, but Fae was still mad at the boar none the less for being more evasive than ever. Fae lunged at the boar quickly, getting one quick successful slash in finally. Fae dove over the boar after slashing it to stay out of it's way. Fae looked over at Hei and noticed that he had lost a little bit of HP. "Mister Hei! Do you want to finish it off? Fae is getting super duper tired." Fae asked, taking a few steps away from the bull.

Fae laughed a little bit when Stryder suggested the answer of a cyber dog. It was silly, but it made a bit of sense. Pin had said it was wrong, so Fae patted Stryder's arm, not even being close enough to reach his shoulder. "Cyborg dog was a good answer, more creative than Fae's. Both of them are right. Good job mister Stryder!" Fae said, walking back over to where she was standing and sat down beside Pin. Sitting like this, Fae and Pin were closer on the level of height, with Fae not having to look up to see his face.

Pin asked what Fae had been up to lately, and Fae thought about it for a little bit. "Umm, Fae hasn't really done anything cool lately. Fae went out on a quest with miss Embers, and that was about it." Fae said, looking up at the sky. Fae looked over at Stryder and patted the ground beside her. "How have you been lately mister Stryder? Sit down with us!" Fae asked eagerly, slowly rocking back and forth in place.

Fae smiled when Froggy brought out her Happy Meal on the tray. "Thanks Froggy! It looks just as Fae remembered it." Fae thanked, opening up the box and starting to eat her fries. Hei walked in, and Saphira did the same a little bit later. Hei ruffled Fae's hair as he usually did and Fae laughed a little bit. "Nice to see you mister Hei! Things have been okay for Fae lately, nothing really special." Fae answered Hei, attempting to ruffle his hair back, but couldn't reach. Fae then waved over to Saphira, the same big smile on her face. "Hi Saphira! It seems like everyone from the guild is coming to this. Fae wonders if mister Stryder or miss Eatos will show up too." Fae said doing a quick count of everyone that was in the restaurant. It was funny, whenever the members of the guild met in places, it felt more or less like a family gathering.

Fae was just about to order her food when Pin entered through the door. He gave her a high five, and Fae hugged him briefly. "Fae is doing good, Fae hopes you are doing good too! But Fae will order first, then sit down." Fae said as she headed over to the counter where Froppy was. 

When Froppy asked if she could take their order, Fae noticed the ribbits in between sentences and laughed a little bit. "You sound like a frog miss, Fae is gonna call you Froggy from now on!" Fae said, laughing a little bit more. "Umm... Fae is going to have a Happy Meal with chicken nuggets and fries." Fae said, looking across the menu and remembering what she usually got from McDonald's. It was the same menu it looked like, so it was easy for Fae to make her order. Fae walked over to a table close by the counter and sat down. "Come over here when you're ready Pin!" Fae said, waving over to the table.

Fae had seen the flyers for a restaurant called McFroppy's, and she got excited immediately. "Oh boy! There's a McDonald's!" Fae exclaimed as she looked at one of them. There was free food supposedly, and if it was player made, then Fae just had to go. An opprotunity to get free player food like this hardly ever came, so Fae was going to love this. She was on her usual stroll on the 4th floor, so she ran to the floor teleporter and headed to the tenth floor where McFroppy's was supposed to be.

Fae stepped out of the floor teleporter and ran through the cavern town, eventually finding McFroppy's and running inside. She was the first one in apparently, as no one else was around. "Daddy is probably busy today, but Pinny is probably free, He would love to come to this." Fae said to herself as she opened her messages and sent Pin a quick message. Hey Pin! Did you hear about the new restaurant? Fae is waiting for you inside McFroppy's on floor 10, see you soon! Now all Fae had to do now was wait for him.

Fae hopped off of Stryder's shoulders when they arrived in the clearing with the hatchling. She took out her dagger and was debating even attacking the little dragon. It looked kinda cute, but it was still their target, so Fae took a deep breath and tossed aside the thoughts of the cute baby dragon.

Stryder ran up to it, but didn't attack and just parried the dragon's attack instead. Fae could already tell that wanted to give everyone else a chance to attack as well, so Fae took this chance first and charged at the hatchling with her dagger in hand. Since there was so many people here, Fae decided to pour all her energy into this one attack and her dagger glowed it's usual shade of pink as she lunged at the hatchling and slashed it repeatedly, a good twelves hits in, all dealing what Fae considered to be good damage. "Yay! Fae dealt some damage mister Stryder! You're up next Pinny!" Fae cheered as she ran back away, looking over at Pinball.

Fae sighed when she stood up. It was getting annoying now, missing over and over with this boar. She kept a smile, but if this kept up, well, Fae would end up throwing a fit. Hei told her to believe in herself and just do her best and she nodded. He was going to distract it even further and Fae just watched as Hei put away his weapon. "Okey dokey, you want Fae to finish it off? Fae will do her best." Fae said, not really feeling the energy to say it louder.

Fae watched as Hei walked up to the boar and yelled that he would kill it with his bare hands. The boar didn't really seem to understand, and it just kept trying to attack. While it was distracted with Hei, Fae charged at it again and swung her dagger. Once again, she barely missed the boar and fell to the ground. Fae stood up and took a few steps back. "Sorry mister Hei, I just can't get it." Fae apologized.

Fae noticed that Angel wasn't beside Eatos and started to look around for her, finding it a bit odd that Angel wasn't being her usual protective self with Eatos. Fae spotted her out in the open field and just dismissed it as Angel just simply being a dog and wanting to wander around a field.

Eatos said that the quest shouldn't be too hard, and Fae nodded. "Fae is fine with hard quests. What do you think Fae is? A little kid? Besides, Fae loves going on quests, they're super fun!" Fae said cheerfully as she put her hands on her hips, trying to look heroic. Eatos then went on to explain that she specifically wanted to test out her new katana abilities, which Fae was perfectly on board with. "That's fine miss Eatos. So, do you want Fae to hold back when we fight monsters so you can test out your katana?" Fae asked.

Fae watched as Embers let out a battle cry and slice straight through the nepent with her Scythe and kill it. Embers still had her war face on, and Fae was debating actually saying anything to Embers, in fear of facing Embers's wrath. Embers started to walk forward towards where Fae was, but all she would have to do would be to look up and Fae would immediately be in her view.

Fae tried to get off the branch the nepent had hooked her on, but she was hooked on tight through her cloak and undies, which made it nearly impossible to get off. Her arms couldn't reach far enough behind her, so all she could do was hope that Embers spotted her. But Fae could already tell that Embers was losing interest and was about to leave, so Fae waved her arms and called out to her. "Hey! Miss Embers! Fae is right here! Can you help Fae down?" Fae asked, looking down at Embers.

Fae started to shudder when Embers turned towards her with the smile on her face. It did not look right at all, and Fae was getting nervous. Embers was taking minimal damage from the nepent by not moving, and it just made Fae even more nervous. Embers had something planned, which would have been fine with anyone else, but this was Embers, and she already was in her killing attitude, so Fae decided to show up and not say anything and just nod to Embers in response to her saying that obliteration would happen to anything in her way.

Apparently at some point, the nepent Embers was facing had noticed Fae sitting behind the bush and it didn't want Fae getting involved either. She didn't notice at first, but the one of the nepent's tendrills had wrapped around Fae and started to lift her up. Before Fae could do anything else, the tendrill hooked her onto one of the branches of the tree behind Fae and left her hanging there, unable to get involved with the fight at all. Fae didn't want to get Embers angry at her either, so she still just kept quiet and watched from the branch.

Fae stood in the fields just outside of the safe zone in Floor 2, waiting for Marx to show up. She had met the boy at the Christmas party, and she was about to do one of the most tedious quests out there from what she had heard. For a few months now, Fae had been wanting a chinchilla familiar, just because of how cute they were, and Fae wanted to get the accuracy boost from having a familiar.

Fae was wearing her usual cloak with her undies underneath it. It was a bit humid today, so the cloak was already going to make the weather a bit more bearable. All that Fae really knew about Marx was that he was a bit of a funny guy. His jester hat was a good sign of that if someone couldn't already tell that Marx was someone who liked to tell jokes.

Fae was on her usual Snowfrost Stroll, skipping along when Eatos sent her a message to do a quick quest on the 3rd floor with her. Fae liked seeing Eatos, and it would be another chance to get to know her one on one. Since it was the 3rd floor, Fae was thinking about just climbing down off of the side, but it was way too dangerous to even attempt that, so Fae got the idea out of her head immediately and headed over to the floor teleporter.

Fae found her way to the blacksmiths, where the quest started and saw Eatos in her black suit and immediately recognized her. It just looked so formal. Fae was still only wearing her undies underneath her cloak, which was her usual combat gear. Ever since she had gotten it, Fae never took off her cloak. It was just that comfy.

Fae ran up to Eatos and hugged her tightly, looking up at her with a big smile. "Hi miss Eatos! You ready for the quest? It's good to see you again, Fae is excited for this quest." Fae said as she stepped back out of the hug and gave Eatos a quick salute.
 

Fae was about to say something else about the nepent, but then Embers shoved her away and Fae fell down onto the ground. She saw the variant nepent and decided to just stay sitting on the ground until Embers finished her little bout with it. Fae already dealt with her own, so it was only right to let Embers have her fun with this one.

Fae watched Embers use her whirlwind sword art to strike the nepent, but it didn't quite finish it off. Fae wanted to jump in and finish the job, but she didn't want Embers to get mad at her for taking her kill. Instead, Fae just sat behind a bush and cheered Embers on. "You got this miss Embers, obliterate that nepent!" Fae cheered, waving one hand over at her. She already knew that Embers could handle it, just one more hit would kill it, but Fae still liked to pretend there were stakes.

Fae finished humming the song she had been humming and stepped off of the bench she had been sitting on. She still had on her usual cloak, which pretty much worked in every situation. It could get wet, but Fae didn't want to mess it up. So she did what she usually did and changed into her undies underneath her cloak. She practically always dressed like this, but her cloak made it impossible to tell.

Fae saw Stryder step out of the floor teleporter and immediately ran up to him with a big smile on her face. "Hey mister Stryder! Fae is so glad you could come!" Fae said as she hugged him tightly. Fae let him out of the hug and stepped back a little bit away from him. "Fae has been a little bit bored lately, so Fae just wanted to go with you to the hot springs in this floor. You have been one of the nicest people to Fae, so Fae just wants to spend some time with you." Fae explained, her smile still wide.

Fae was loving it on Stryder's back, as she always did. It was just such a fun place to hang onto. It was just his leadership position and their friendship that made Fae want to cling onto his back, no one else. Plus, being on his back let Fae see above the crowds that she would otherwise be lost in. "Thank you for letting Fae ride on your back mister Stryder, it's nice and comfy up here." Fae thanked, ruffling Stryder's hair a little bit.

Fae heard the door open again and noticed a guy in jester's outfit walk in. Interesting choice of attire for a Christmas party. Fae looked over at the jester that had now walked over to Eatos and Fae realized something. Stryder and Eatos hadn't said a word to each other this whole party. "Hey mister Stryder, are you gonna say hi to miss Eatos? You two worked together to set this up, you should at least say hi. Come on!" Fae said, leaning forward on Stryder in Eatos's direction.

Fae thought back on when she first met Hestia, and realized that it really has been a long time. "Fae has been doing great miss Hestia! Fae knows miss Eatos because Fae is in the guild with her. You should join us miss Hestia, you would be a great tank for the guild." Fae said, glad to finally catch up with Hestia.

Fae saw Pinball arrive at the party and she started to walk over to him. Fae grabbed a cookie from the refreshments table and brought it over to him. "Hey Pinny! Want a cookie?" Fae offered, handing Pin a cookie before hugging him.

Then Stryder came through the door carrying tons of eggnog with him. "Hi mister Stryder! Let Fae help you with that." Fae said as she grabbed the box and brought it over to the refreshment table. She arranged the eggnog bottles in a square and then ran back over to Stryder. "It's so good to see you!" Fae said as she ran behind him and hopped onto his back and hung onto him.

Fae stopped petting Angel briefly when she saw Hei step through the door dressed as Santa. It was still pretty easy to tell that it was him, but Fae just got so excited to see him. "Hey mister Hei! Thanks for the headband, and you look pretty good yourself." Fae thanked as she grabbed a green headband from Hei and put it on her head.

Eatos then walked out of the room she was changing in, and Fae was stunned. She looked so formal, and she didn't really even look like Eatos at first. "Wow! You look so pretty Eatos. You make Fae's dress look like a joke. Your dress and Fae's dress are practically opposites. Yours is dark and formal, and Fae's is light and relaxed." Fae complimented before giving Eatos a big hug.

Fae looked around at everyone else that showed up. She recognized everyone except Soredell. "Hey miss Hestia! Long time no see!" Fae said as she walked up to Hestia and gave her a hug. It had been quite a while, but it was still great to see her.

Fae had been looking forward to any sort of Christmas this entire year, it being her second favorite holiday, still unable to compete with Halloween. She dressed up in a nice dress instead of her normal cloak and headed for Eatos's shop, where the party was being held. She skipped and hummed a little tune to herself as she did so through Snowfrost. It felt like one of her usual 4th floor strolls, but now she had a destination.

Fae arrived at Eatos's stone shop and walked through the door to see that Eatos and Soredell were already here. "Hi guys! Fae is here!" Fae called out as she looked around the shop. Even if it was nothing fancy, Fae still loved it. Fae ran up and hugged Soredell right away. "It looks like we are the first ones here." Fae said as she stepped back from Soredell. She walked over to Angel and started to pet the husky on the head. "It's good to see you Angel." Fae said as she rubbed her back as well.
