  1. Astralin seemed to be confused, stating that because she was spared, there was no need for Dazia to run off the way she had done, and was essentially making things worse for herself that way. "She is." Krysta agreed. "Firstly, this is merely the action of a sore loser who cannot tolerate failure. Secondly, she is only risking her life even further by running off into the monster-riddled wastes with low health...and with words such as those which she spoke to me, she clearly has it out against me now. Perhaps our hatred towards one another is mutual after all..." She explained. Astralin guessed that there may have been a reason for her being here. "Well, you managed to survive a boss battle, you tried to settle the disagreement Dazia and I had over the Essence of Steel, and you found a treasure chest, in which was wealth and resources that were yours for the taking. Certainly, you shan't be returning empty-handed." She remarked. Astralin agreed to be escorted back to the safe zone. "Then let us be off, for the sun will be setting soon, and from what I've heard, threats from both monster and hostile player worsen during the dark of the night..." She decided.

    Summary:

@Dazia receives: 4 SP(2 Pages completed, Quest completed, Quarantine SP bonus) and 266 col

  2. Dazia thanked Astralin, claiming that she might consider going along with Astralin if she was to message her over a future quest. Then she glared at Krysta, seeming a bit reluctant to hand over the item, then she claimed that this wasn't over, that she would surpass Krysta, and that she would no longer be a threat to her...Krysta became a threat to Dazia ever since she murdered her cousin, and she will pay dearly for it one day...with her life. "There's one thing we can agree on, that this remains unfinished...we will surely battle again, Dazia...and you will surely fall by my hand." She remarked as the scoundrel fled. She took a deep breath, sheathed her weapon and returned her shield to her inventory, before picking up the Essence of Steel. She then looked over to Astralin. "I apologize that you had to get caught up in my strife, Astralin." Krysta began. "Is it alright if I were to escort you back to the safe zone?" She asked.

Krysta has won the Essence of Steel!

  3. Krysta would hear Dazia's words of aggravation, and Astralin would decide to...heal Dazia...as if she ever deserved it. Astralin must simply be in a state of confusion to possibly be willing to heal her! Perhaps, in time, Astralin would learn of Dazia's wicked ways...oh, if only there were a living witness to her crimes, who could tell her the things she has done! "I can understand if you are still unsure about the truth in this matter...at least take some time to think about it, if you must." Krysta said to Astralin in a soft, concerned tone. If there was one thing that all three players in the vicinity knew, it was that Krysta was a considerable threat to Dazia, when stats were involved. For Krysta to have achieved victory so easily, Dazia must have been spending more of her time hiding than doing...which allowed for Krysta to train up to a high enough level to gain the statistical advantage.

  4. Dazia would attempt to attack Krysta, but fail due to not noticing the bone that lay in her path. Now that there was a window of opportunity, Krysta would take the chance to strike against Dazia again. She would use the Sword Art known as Over Radiation once more, delivering a powerful attack that inflicted paralysis and bleed upon her foe. Dazia's HP would drop down to a considerably low amount. Seeing this, Krysta knew she was truly capable of vanquishing this murderous scoundrel once and for all...but this was a half-loss duel, and it would seem that Krysta would have to show mercy to Dazia...for now.

Krysta let out a deep breath. "It's over, Dazia...the Essence is no longer yours, as per the terms of this duel." She stated. Ah, yes, that's right, Krysta had to wait for Dazia to be free from paralysis before she could receive the Essence of Steel. If Dazia was still going to try and set a good impression on Astralin, it would be guaranteed that Krysta wouldn't need to chase after this devious player.

  5. Dazia took the chance to attack Krysta while her attention was diverted. She should have anticipated this, knowing that scoundrel... She also added onto Krysta's point. Most likely, she was trying to win her over, despite all of the obvious wrongs she has done... "Dazia, your schemes have been revealed, there is no point in trying to play such a devious game any further." Krysta declared. She would strike with Over Radiation, dealing plenty of damage, taking a fair portion of Dazia's HP out. She then jumped back, her shield raised, then she glanced over to see that Astralin had in fact, found a genuine treasure chest. She was happy to know that Astralin had no mimic to worry about...she then looked back to her opponent, ready to face Dazia's next move head-on. "Try all you can, but I shall claim victory against you!" She declared as she stood her ground.

  6. Dazia was not pleased at having little choice in the matter...but of course she wouldn't be, she only wanted to take the item and leave! She never wanted to fight a stronger opponent for it, she just wanted to assure herself using another player, and take the Essence, leaving her in the frozen wastes! No, she would not escape this time! Dazia decided to fight willingly, now that the decision was made for her. She clearly wasn't as used to fighting in the snow as she could have been, for she slipped on the snow, which gave an opening for Krysta...or so she thought. If she had acted sooner, she would have managed to strike, but she misjudged the timing, and her opponent was able to avoid her attack. She held up her shield as she looked over to see that Astralin had found a treasure chest. "Be careful, Astralin!" Krysta called out to her. "There is a chance that the chest you found is actually a mimic, be sure you are prepared for combat before you decide to open it!" She suggested.

  7. Krysta knew she had Dazia cornered in terms of situation. If she tried to get away, Astralin was the moderator and could stop her. Dazia's plot will surely fail at this rate, all Krysta needed to do was defeat her, and all that Astralin needed to do was keep her in line with the agreement. Dazia wasn't too thrilled about the situation or the duel challenge, she knew she was but a cornered rat at this point. "Astralin..." Krysta began. "Dazia is unwilling to duel, and would rather try to escape with the Essence. I'm using both hands at the moment, would it trouble you to make sure she accepts? She is outvoted on the situation, after all..." She explained. Once Dazia's hand was brought to accept, there was no turning back. Krysta couldn't tell whether Dazia's response was towards Krysta or Astralin, but she would be punished all the same.

-Dazia has won the initiative roll, and will be going first.

  8. So Astralin was never told about the Essence...it all made sense, and further proved Krysta's point...possibly, that is. Krysta simply confirmed it to herself. Astralin went on to say that she wasn't interested, but if both players wanted the Essence, they could simply have a Half-Loss Duel over it... Why...that actually was not a bad idea. Krysta did have a use for the Essence, and she would rather be the one to have it then let Dazia get away with it. Plus, Krysta could assure her victory in this manner...by claiming victory halfway, it would help Krysta know if she could vanquish the evil of Dazia once and for all... "Thank you, Astralin...that is a wonderful idea!" She stated. "Did you hear that, Dazia? If you want the Essence now, you must earn it in honorable combat!" She noted to Dazia, before using her free hand to send a duel challenge.

-Krysta has challenged @Dazia to a duel!

  9. Astralin would attempt to make an attack of her own, but fail at said attempt. Krysta couldn't blame her for trying. Dazia would tell Astralin to stay back, because "she was the healer". "Why can't you simply allow her to make her choice? She has the right to do what she did!" Dazia would then finish off the boss, and it would shatter. The battle was over...but something wasn't right. Krysta quickly checked her inventory, and it was unchanged...

"The Essence was a last hit drop." She realized.

Dazia seemed to be in a hurry to leave...she had known this all along. "Oh, no you will not..." Krysta thought. She ran to intercept, grabbing her gear by the cowl. "You knew it would only drop one Essence all along, didn't you? You did not come here for the experience, you came here for the essence, bringing Astralin along merely as a means of assurance, and nothing more! I'm onto your fiendish plot now, so what do you have to say for yourself?" She demanded.

  10. Not long after Krysta revealed this to Astralin, Dazia claimed that she said this was the reason why she didn't want Astralin to spawn it, as the one who did so would be its primary target... "Astralin, did she really tell you this?" She asked. It was then that Dazia would get the boss to spawn, as to prove her own point. She grabbed a bone and struck the giant skull with it...and the boss would emerge from the ice. Dazia attacked it, and the frozen monstrosity would fail to strike back. The monster's HP was in the yellow now, so it should only take a bit more to finish it off. She readied her sword art, and struck the monster with Delta Attack. With that handled, the monster's HP fell into the red. She might have underestimated the amount of HP it had, but now even a player with a level low as Astralin's might be able to finish it off with ease.

  11. Dazia would continue to lie further... and Astralin would seem to be conflicted. "If you do not wish to fight to the death, you don't have to. I simply believed you would understand that- What?" Krysta was confused. What was Astralin meaning by this? "Astralin...what are you..."

Astralin would then tell both players to...put down their weapons. "Pardon???" She questioned.

Was she really refusing to pick a side??

Astralin would continue, claiming that she was certain that a peaceful solution existed. She then suggested the inconceivable...she suggested that Krysta and Dazia...work together?!?!?

"Not possible, it shall never happen!" Krysta declared, standing firm. Astralin made a certain remark...that made no sense. "Astralin...what we're up against is a quest boss." Krysta revealed. "Dazia is clearly using you, don't listen to her. Even a Glass Cannon can be deadly to a lower-level player like yourself." She suggested, believing that Astralin had indeed been played for a fool at this point.

  12. It figured that Dazia would dare to lie about her deeds, using the truth that she did kill them to draw in Astralin's trust... "Liar! Wardege would never have fallen to madness! He was a kind and generous soul, through and through! Your words have nothing but deceit, and you shall pay the price all the same!" Krysta declared. Astralin looked to Krysta, then to Dazia, as she seemed to be thinking aloud. "Precisely, Astralin. We were not witnesses, but Dazia was the only one present who could possibly speak on the matter at this moment, we cannot trust the words of those who commit evil, they must be stopped or vanquished instead! You can trust me, for I knew Wardege...he was my cousin, and a good man. A righteous, innocent man!" She stated, trying to help Astralin with the situation. She was willing to add more if need be, but it was to be Astralin's decision on who to support...

  13. Before she had a chance to properly investigate the bones, she heard a familiar voice. "Astralin?" She recognized. She turned around to see her...and Dazia. "Dazia!" She called out as she drew her weapon. "Wait...Astralin, what are you doing with this murderer? Do you not know the things she has done?" She asked Astralin. She then looked back to Dazia. "Do not think you have her fooled. Besides, I have seen the monument. Wardege, Lupix, Aldinago, they have all been slain by your hand! What do you have to say about that?" She stated as she pointed her weapon towards Dazia. It mattered not where she would end Dazia's evil deeds, it simply mattered that she put an end to this before it could worsen any further. "Astralin, this player cannot be trusted, she has murdered three players so far, and who knows when she will do it again? I wouldn't be surprised if she had committed other crimes along the way!" She explained, believing Astralin had simply been played for a fool.

  14. Krysta left the safe zone, ready to face what the floor had in store for her. She referred to her map for the location of her foe, so it wouldn't be likely that she would get lost in the wastes. Having a good informant truly made a major difference. The wastes often had creatures roaming about, but none of those present were interested in fighting Krysta. Did they see no reason to, or were they simply afraid of her, over her stats? It mattered little, for Krysta was on a missive to obtain an item for her and Vigilon, as well as slay an awful beast of ice...one that wasn't Avalanche. She would soon find herself amidst a field of bones, seeing a great mystery become her next obstacle as she opened her map to realize she was where the boss was supposed to be found... "Where...where is the monster?" She thought aloud, puzzled.

  15. Krysta knew that there was only one last thing to do before leaving for the trip: purchase items from a merchant's stock. Immolation Potion +1s, and Teleport Crystals. Surely, Vigilon and Krysta would have need of these if they were to take part in large-scale combat, as was anticipated in the plans. Krysta would make her way back to the Merchant Shop, Pandora's Wares, as she had done before. Once again, Krysta would enter a poorly kept shop. It still seemed that the shopkeeper had little time to organize the place...Krysta truly pitied the girl, she must have had her hands full to the point where she was unable to properly manage her shop... Krysta would bring four items to the counter, and place the payment on said counter as well. "I am once again in need of Immolation Potions...as well as two Teleport Crystals this time."

    Purchased:

    x2 Immolation Potion +1

    x2 Teleport Crystal

Total Payment of 3000 col sent to @Andromeda

  16. Vigilon had informed Krysta of a place she could go in her efforts to replace what had been stolen from them. "That little thief will pay dearly for her actions..." Krysta thought aloud as she walked towards her destination. "If only I was able to learn of her name...then I would have something to go off of, rather than simply a cloaked figure..." Maybe she would encounter this thief once more, and have her chance to deal with this criminal...but for now, she had to restock the supplies for the trip she and Vigilon had intended to go on.

She would reach the area marked on her map, and find a manor with what appeared to be a chef's store attached to it. Upon further inspection, this was indeed the place, as it matched the description Vigilon had given. She would walk inside, and take a look around. She would find almost everything that was left to search for on the list. She would gather the items(and a fair supply of them, at that, for the plans included large-scale combat, and the players would need to be fighting at their best), then place them on the counter, along with a fairly sized sack of col. "I would like to purchase these meals, please."

  17. Krysta walked throughout the snow of the fourth floor. She had been informed by her ally, Keita, of an item that is said to improve the quality of equipment, from uncommon to rare, and rare to perfect. Whether or not it could produce the mythical fourth slot remained unknown and untested, as far as Keita had known...and there was but one last issue regarding the useful item...it would only be dropped by a monster with a "Glass cannon" build, meaning it had formidable damage, but poor defenses. Surely, a well defended player could easily strike it down. She was ready to leave the safe zone, and would surely be prepared for whatever lies ahead... "If Alex and I are going to take our chances, I might as well seek to make our lives easier. Frost Beast, you shall be vanquished!" She thought aloud. She knew that the boss would spawn somewhere within the floor's frozen wastes...but she had yet to sight this boss throughout her time on this floor.

  18. An unwanted encounter transpired the other day, so now Krysta was here on the first floor, looking for shops that would supply the items to replace what had been stolen... "Devious little plunderer," Krysta muttered. "I'll teach her some manners one day..."

She would come across a place that appeared to be a shop... upon first glances, it would appear to be a café, yet upon closer inspection as Krysta entered, it was actually an alchemist's shop, although certainly reminiscent of a café. She would look around for some time, seeing what the player-ran facility had to offer, and then she would soon find one of the kinds of consumables she had been looking for. She took two and brought them over to the counter. "I would like to purchase two Liquors of Light, please." She asked as she placed the col payment on the counter.

  19. The players began to escape, one by one... Vigilon asked if Krysta had a teleport Crystal. "As a matter of fact, I do." She replied. The players may have been ill-prepared, but they weren't foolish...However, Vigilon and Mitria were right. This was not a fight they could win... after handling herself against the Goblins' attacks, they would all position themselves like a barricade, as all the goblins behind them celebrated their inevitable victory. The other players teleported out, leaving only Krysta...oh, if only things never had gone this far downhill...perhaps players of the second tier had no place here, and this was the Cardinal forcing its way... Even if this was indeed simply the players being ill-prepared for the situation, there was still only one course of action remaining. She pulled out her teleport Crystal. "Teleport: Tomoika." With that, she would disappear from the monsters' realm, and they would simply wait for the next foolish group of players who dared to step into their lands...

Krysta has used a Teleport Crystal and escaped combat!

    Summary:

Quest Failed; No rewards are received.

  20. As soon as the signal was given, the players charged through...and the masses of goblins that awaited the players charged for them as soon as they were in sight. Vigilon attempted to handle his opponents with an Area of Effect Sword Art, but with little success. From what she was able to witness, the two players wouldn't end up doing very well unless they both had pristine gear...and Vigilon, as it would seem, did not have it. She attempted to divert the attention of one of the Goblins by attacking with Over Radiation, but the monster dodged the attack with ease.

Mitria could see how bad the situation already was. The masses of goblins were gathering far behind, and they surely wouldn't give the players a chance to rest... She would then see that four of the goblins waiting for an opponent had noticed her, and were already heading towards her and her allies. "Oh no, this is bad..." To make matters worse, it would seem that some of the other players were not as prepared as they could have been... There was no hope for any of the teams, being so ill-prepared like this. "There's too many of them! Everyone grab a Teleport Crystal and retreat! We should regroup and plan this out later!"

And just like that, one by one, the players would start teleporting out of the battlefield...

  21. {Scarlet} would have a poor response to Keita's warning. "You are reckless and careless, saying such words. Don't think that you are invincible to your enemies, for in doing so, you actually become the most vulnerable...at least take that into consideration." Keita explained. Akudo agreed to team up with Keita, and then complimented on her appearance. Keita smirked, knowing what he was up to. "Oh, Akudo, don't think I don't know what you're up to. I pity you, not because you're making a terrible choice, but because you seem to be desperate for someone special. I know full well of your habits, chasing after attractive women, in search of your significant other... So if you want to get anywhere with me, you've got to do it right." She remarked.

Vigilon agreed with what Krysta had said, and sent her a party invite, which she accepted. Krysta began to hear the players declare their team names. Kanari and Shuliik were team Typhoon, Dazlea and Morgan♥ were team Rose... the team name declarations were interrupted by {Scarlet}.

"Hold on a second... Ok, what is a Princess doing here?"

And here we are again. Krysta was called a Princess...and she was growing tired of it. Vigilon stepped forward, as to stand up for her, and give a positive meaning to the word used to describe her. He ended up considering an idea for their team name, and asked Krysta what she thought about it. She pondered on it for a few seconds... and was ready to make her decision. "...Why, that's...actually not a terrible idea. Right then, we shall be Team Castle!" She accessed her inventory, and equipped a vanity item that she had received some time ago. It was a silver circlet, adorned with two amethysts and two aquamarines, and a single rhodochrosite in the center, it's shape being the drop. So what if this was how they saw her? She was only being herself...and the circlet seemed to go well with her other gear, aside from her current weapon, of course.

Keita decided on a name for the team she was in. "We shall be team Nightshade." She declared. "Team Autumn! We'll win this thing!" Laida called out. Well, that was all of the teams. All that was left to do now was to charge into the monster infested caverns that awaited the players.

Meanwhile, a player hoping to discreetly explore the cavern was hearing this. "A competition...that's it, this is the opening we've been waiting for! Who's up for playing referee?"

Before the players could rush in, Mitria would show herself, and her three allies would follow suit. "Heeeeeey! Waaaaait!!" Krysta stopped, and looked over to see the new arrivals. "Mitria?" Krysta asked. Mitria smiled. "None other!" She replied. Keita turned around as well. "Well, now, if it isn't the Aincrad Research Commission." She remarked. "Sure is!" Mitria replied. "So, we came here hoping to investigate the place, we're not exactly concerned with rewards...yet. Of course, since that place is absolutely riddled with goblins, from what we've heard...it would be ridiculously difficult to study this spot. So, since you guys are competing as you clear out the place, do you mind if we tagged along to be the referees in this? It would be terrible if a disagreement sparked at the end...besides, with all the monsters gone, we'll have a window of opportunity to study the cavern in peace! So there's a win for all of us!" She explained. Keita thought for a minute, then she spoke up. "Collecting information for the players of Aincrad is normally what we informants do. I'm not interested in a rival guild getting all the intel, but with all the col from the area itself, I guess I wouldn't mind. Besides, we'd be clearing out the place for you, so, frankly, you ought to be paying us." She explained. "It's a deal, I know we've got enough coin to spare!" Mitria responded.

Knowing how most spots like this worked in terms of loot and such, she decided to explain how this was gonna go.

"Ok now listen up, I want my friends and I to be able to keep track of your progress, so first I want to see what resources you have now, so that there will be no questions or misunderstandings about how much you actually looted from the cavern." Mitria explained.

{Scarlet}'s ally, Shadowynd, would turn around and access his menu, drop a sum of col on the ground, amidst a small collection of stones, where it was less likely to be spotted, before making his way over to Mitria. Once all the players had revealed their starting resources, Shadowynd would wait until no one was paying attention to retrieve the col he'd purposefully dropped...and poor Mitria wouldn't notice.

"Alright, that should be everyone! Now then, onto the conditions!" Mitria called out.

"For every monster killed, you earn 100 points. If you find a treasure chest, you will score the col value as a bonus. for every material you find outside combat, and we will be paying attention as to notice, every material gathered outside combat is 10 points each. If some of you get any ideas to turn on each other, first strike and half loss duels only, and only against opposing teams! You achieve victory in said duels without your ally getting taken down in the process, you'll score 7000 points! Otherwise, you earn 3000 points. Losses will earn you nothing. Finally, the total amount of col you earn in this grinding session will be added to your score in full value!" Mitria decided. "Now then, without further ado, no more interruptions...it's time to begin! On my mark as we prepare to descend into the depths! Ready...set..."

    "Go!!!!!"

  22. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Morgan." Krysta said with a smile. She would then be greeted by another familiar voice. "Seems to me that you're making quite a few friends, if not acquaintances, around Aincrad." It was Keita, the informant who Krysta had not heard from for at least a short while. "Ah, Keita! It's wonderful to see you again!" She noted. Not long after she said that, the chatter of the players was silenced by another voice.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?"

Krysta turned to see the owner of the voice. She seemed like the confident sort, but truly full of herself, aware of it, too. She didn't seem to be on good terms with Vigilon, based on what the two said to one another. She would call forth her ally, who would take position by her side. This player would look upon all the players present, as if he were analyzing them. "Chaos, shade, nobility, and more...all together, it's a rather unique time bomb all on its own..." He muttered in a voice that was barely audible. The young woman who called him over then decided to propose a challenge to the players. Vigilon didn't seem too keen on it, but Kanari saw the value in the challenge. Keita looked over to her. "You must be the one they call {Scarlet}. You know, you should be careful regarding your reputation, as a bad one will get you hunted down...I've heard some things around, is all." She remarked. "Of course, that doesn't mean I'm against your little challenge. I actually see opportunities within..." She added. She would walk over to Akudo, and ask him, "Care to team up and work together, Akudo? I've heard you have decent skill, so I've been eager to see whether or not the rumors are true..."

Morgan♥ would look to Laida, as if seeking her permission. Laida nodded with a smile, and Morgan♥ would walk over to Dazlea, hoping to team up with her. Laida would walk over to Vixie. "Guess we're already teamed up, based on the groups already being made. I might not deal the best damage, but you can sure guarantee I can help you with keeping the monsters' eyes on me!"

Finally, Krysta would walk over to Vigilon. "Alex, we can do this. We can work together to teach this girl some manners." She stated, reassuring him, and, obviously, teaming up with him.

  23. Vigilon accepted the immolation potion from Krysta, and soon the players would be on their way to the specified location where Vigilon had intended to go. After about an hour, the players would arrive, to see that there were several players gathering, all of them familiar faces to at least one of the two...except for two. First, Krysta would let Vigilon reunite with his friends as she walked over to greet those who she knew. "Laida, it's wonderful to see you again! It seems that we are all rising above now, aren't we?" She said to the young tank. "It's great to see you too, Krysta! Peta said I could start going to the third tier floors, as she is confident in my ability to withstand incoming attacks!" Laida would respond. Krysta would then look to another familiar face. "Dazlea, it has been some time, hasn't it? It seems like it was only yesterday when...never mind, anyway, it is a pleasure to see you again." There would be a new face that she was willing to speak to, and Laida walked over to the player's side. "Krysta, I'd like you to meet Morgan! She's from my guild, the Crystal Crusaders!" Laida explained, giving the player a gentle push. The player was wearing a set of gear that appeared to be rosegold in color, and she also wore a silver diadem with a morganite on its center. "Ah, hello...Nice to meet you, Krysta. I go by Morgan, but you'll find a heart at the end of my username...as it was taken without it." She explained.

As the players were having their conversations, another player was watching from a distance. "I honestly don't care how you approach them, or what exactly we end up doing. I just want a lucrative challenge." The player explained to his new ally. "The rest is up to you...so you can prove that you can actually lead, as you so claim you can do."

  24. The time has come. Krysta knew that Vigilon had some major plans, but without the funds, materials, and gear, how would it be possible? She knew those were among the reasons he needed to go on this trip...but both players knew that Vigilon could not accomplish this alone. She would make her way to the specified meeting place, where Vigilon was waiting for her. He offered her some consumables for her, assurance for pristine stats when she would enter the fray. "I appreciate your concern and generosity, Alex. Thank you." She said as she smiled. All of the consumables, including two she had with her, would prove to be a hearty feast. Surely, this would keep Krysta in the fight for quite some time. Hopefully, the amount she had consumed would not slow her down. Granted, calories and weight change were not of substance in this game, but surely a feast like this would at least take some time before the consumer would feel the optimal effects, should the game have been entirely realistic. "My, this is...a bit more filling than I anticipated." She noted. "Oh, here, this is for you, in case you didn't have it already. It should be helpful as to punish those who dare to strike you." She said, offering an immolation potion +1 to Vigilon.
