  1. Reinholt shrugs his shoulders as she calls him names. At first her attitude angered him, but honestly he felt like it was a front more than anything. "Sounds like your boyfriend is a good dude." He says with a smirk and treks on across the 1st floor. He silently wondered what happened to make her this way, but then again being in a Death Game does effect everyone differently.

Eventually he came found another boar pup and nods toward ir, before hauling his sword off his back and moving forward. As he nears the boar pup, it begins to squeal and run around in circles. Once he gets to striking range, he swings his sword in an over hand arc, but the boar pup nimbly dances out of the way before running in between Reinholt's feet, tripping him and sending him faceplanting to the dirt. He grumbles sourly and jumps back to his feet, casting a 'don't say a word' glare at Embers.

  2. This guy super Knowledgeable. Reinholt thought to himself as he listened to Itzal. Once he finished Reinholt nods."I personally like the idea of being able to make my own weapons and heavy armor, that way I can adjust things slighly depending on the quest or boss, without having to have a bunch of armor custom made. Between waiting and putting out all my Col, it just made sense to me to be able to do these things myself." He touches the breastplate of his armor and then his sword. "While these are high quality items, they aren't exactly what I'm looking for as far as stats or just general cosmetic look. But they are better than what I had so I'll gladly take it." He pauses for a moment with a slight smile. "The downside for me is I won't be able to make very many non combat items, so if I want something to boost my looting ability or anything along those lines I'll have to go to someone else."

  3. Reinholt frowns as he swipes through his inventory. He had a decent number of Tier 1 materials, but he was afraid if he didn't keep a good stock of materials then the day he actually needed them would be the day he would run out. So he stands up from his chair, equips his armor and sword and leaves his shop, making sure the door was locked behind him.

He slowly makes his way toward one of the exit gates of Nimbus, humming a tune to himself as he walked. As he neared the eastern gate, he pauses and brings up his menu. He posts on one of the public boards.

    Spoiler

Gonna be out and about on the 7th floor looking for some Materials, maybe do a little monster hunting or treasure hunting. Leaving Nimbus now, heading east. Feel free to join.

He posts his message and closes his menu before leaving the city and venturing out into the windy, rocky 7th floor.

  4. Reinholt opens his menu and makes a face as he scrolls through some stuff. After a couple moments he swipes his menu closed and nods his head. He had accepted <<Search for the Hoya>> but never actually got around to doing it. Go, fight some Minotuar get some pendant. Didn't sound hard. He had planned on doing it Solo, but he guessed it never hurt to have some back up just in case.

"Yeah. I planned on going to kill some Mino for a pendant or some such. Don't have much use for the pendant I don't think, but I could use the XP. I had planned on going solo but I guess if there has to be a trial by fire then let's be on our way." With a wolfish grin he steps around Stryder, being mindful to stay wide of the wolf and starts to walk away. "To the Forest of Wavering Mist." Hopefully he wouldn't make a total fool of himself infront of Stryder. But either way, from what he'd headed of the minotaurs he could take them solo pretty easy, even if they are a couple levels higher than He was, so he wasn't too concerned.

  5. Reinholt chuckles and shakes his head. "Help you? I guess." He says as he brings his sword up into a low guard before him. After Pin launched his attack, the goblin quickly counter attacked and hit Pinball across the back. With a growl he surges forward. Being mindful of the wet terrain between him and the goblin, he approaches quickly but carefully.

With Pinball keeping the pressure on, Reinholt thought he had a clean shot. His sword flashes orange as slashes forward from a low guard. The Goblin nimbly side steps Reinholt's blade and has the gall to stick it's tongue out at Reinholt.

He steps back even with Pinball, letting the spear keep the goblin at bay. "Pin, you see that? This ugly goblin stuck it's tongue out at me!" He says acting as if it had offended him. "You'd better kill it before I get my hands on it! That's fire sure! A grin spreads across his face, just before he sticks his own tongue back out at the goblin.

  6. Grumbling sourly, Renhikt treks through the dense forest after Pinball. Honestly he didn't know why he was so surly. This was certainly better than sitting in his shop doing nothing. Plus they just killed a giant monkey and he gained some good XP from that. He waves his hand dismissively at Pinball when they finally arrived to their fishing location.

"I may be older than you, but I'm not old enough I need to sit after some light work. You go ahead and start fishing. I'm going to go stream a bit and try and find some materials myself. He says as he carefully makes his way up stream, humming a soft tune to himself. He hadn't gone far before he crouches down next to the rushing water and begins to search for some material. Luck must of been on his side as he pulls one up and with a smirk statshes it into his inventory. With an appreciative whistle he turns to walk back to Pinball, to see what kind of luck he was having.

When he got there he sees a bluish goblin armed with a dagger and a buckles. With a sigh he casts his ponch over his shoulder and draws his sword. "Seriously Pinball? I'm gone five minutes and you've already fished up a monster? What am I going to do with you?"

  7. Reinholt yawns loudly as he passes through the door from his small living quarters into his shop. He was pretty sucessful yesterday, as he made a Rare quality item. He was still trying to make a perfect quality sword for himself, that way he could cancel his order and save himself some col. But making perfect quality work was turning out to be a pain in the butt. With another yawn he opens his inventory, switches into his shop clothes, then closes the menu. He starts to go up the steps to his forge, but stops and walks to the front door of the shop. He quickly unlocks the door and with a smile he walks back behind the counter and up to his forge. "Well, let's see what I can make today." He says as he sets his material on the anvil and lifts his hammer and getting lost in the rhythmic ting of his crafting.

  8. "As long as we don't run into any of those giant spiders, I'll be ok." Reinholt chuckles as they begin their journey toward the quest location. Go and kill one mob then come back? That doesn't sound too bad. He thinks to himself as they exit the city and begin to cross the field of flowers. This was all pretty and what not but not really his taste.

"I honestly haven't given it too much thought, but I prefer to be in the mountains. I doubt I'll ever actually look into getting a home or anything, maybe a shop." He says to Spangie. At first he seemed kind of grumpy about the subject but her smile was infectious so he couldn't help but smile just as much.

"But from what I've heard the 7th floor is what I'll like. Nimbus sounds amazing. Being built into a mountain like that? He chuckles and shakes his head, falling silent.

  9. Reinholt cracked a grin at the Rock n' roll sign. "Granted, I know you did all the work and I wouldn't been able to even touch it probably if you hadn't of frozen it, It is still nice getting a hit in. Thanks Pin." He says but the grin slides off his face at the mention of fishing. "In this?' He motions to the weather and the bolt of lightning that just streaked across the sky. Granted, now that he was a blacksmith, he could use some materials himself. But in this weather?? He sighs and shrugs his shoulders. "I mean, i don't have much else to do, cept go back to my nice, warm shop..but I need to gather some materials. So I'll hangout with you for awhile yet." He says as he fixes his poncho and pulls his hood back up. He motions for Pinball to lead the way. "But I promise I'm going to Haunt you if i get struck by lightning."

  10. There was no emotion on Reinholt’s face, in fact an eerie calm that had settled over him. He watched as Pinball kicked and stabbed the giant monkey and then a wolfish grin spreads across his face as he sees the ice creep across the monkey’s body. Its hands were frozen before it, as it was starting to beat the ground when Pinball landed his attack. Reinholt seizes the opportunity and was moving before Pinball said anything. Unleashing another battle cry as he dashes forward, his cobalt blade suddenly comes ablaze with sparks. He leaps once, landing on the lower of the closed fists and without pause he leaps again, toward the other hand. Instead of landing on the second hand he merely uses it to propel himself toward the Monkey King’s face. He lifts his sword above his head and the blade flashes orange. He delivers four slashes to the Monkey kings head, the first two forming and X and the second two a cross. Each blow crackles with electricity and when the last blow is delivered the The head of the Monkey King shatters, followed by the rest of his body. Reinholt lands amidst the frozen pieces of Monkey King and at some point in his attack his hood had fallen off his head. He sheathes his sword and grins. ”Well, some Monkey king you were.” He says as he lifts his hood back up and turns toward Pinball.

  11. Reinholt was fairly silent the entire trip, knowing that with how grumpy he was he could snap at Pinball and didn’t want to. So he kept to himself and followed after the boy. Soon enough though they descended into the Monkey King’s lair. He listens to Pinball’s plan and takes the teleportation crystal without a word and watches as the boy launches himself into battle again.

This is the third time Pinball has taken the risk. Not this time. I wont just ‘stand’ back. With that thought he steps forward and casts his poncho over his shoulder with his left hand, while his right hand draw Darukai, his cobalt blade. His face still obscured by his hood, he surges forward, his sword held low in his right hand. As he nears the Monkey King, he lets out a battle roar, takes his sword into a high guard with both hands. The blade begins to glow orange, as he readies his Sword Art. Just before he gets to striking distance his foot gets caught by an unseen root and he begins to tumble head over feet into the dirt. He curses loudly and quickly climbs to his feet. GREAT! WHAT A TIME TO TRIP! [/i]He berates himself silently and tries to ready himself for another attack.

  12. Reinholt watches her make her way toward the blacksmith, before interlocking his fingers behind his neck and arcing his back to stretch. She asked him what armor mid-stretch, causing him to jerk forward and cough, semi embarrassed. "Uh. The heavy armor. Please!" He says just as she disappears inside. Chuckling despite himself he runs his hand through his hair.

Something she said stuck with him. Life here in SAO might not be what it was IRL, but it wasn't exactly bad either. When you grow up wishing you were in a land of swords and dragons, Aincrad was the awnser to your fantasy. But regardless, there were kids, husband's, wife's, whole families that were torn apart by this death game. He couldn't just stand by and let that happen.

Spangie interrupts his thoughts springing forth from the shop. With a smile he nods his head. "That's great! You know where we have to go now? Cause I'm ready!"

  13. Reinholt couldn't help but chuckle. This girl was something else and super hyper active. It was a nice change of pace from his normal lonely brooding self."Like Spangie is any less unique?" He asked but she had already changed the subject, shouting about victory and what have you.  With a wry shake of his head he moves aside and motions for her to go first. "Yes, yes. We're both doing it. Lead the way, cause like I said I have no idea where I'm going. I'll follow your lead on this one, ok? You go ahead and accept the quest and ill wait outside. But dont forget to add me to your party!" She was percisely the kind of player he wanted to protect and fight for on the frontlines. She was right, not everyone was ment to fight on the frontlines but he was and one day he would be there, fighting to save people like Spangie.

  14. Reinholt listened quietly as he explained that his Familiar was shy and nods when asked not to bother her. "I dealt with canines alot IRL so I know full well how temperamental they can be. I'll let her come to me." He said in a respectful tone, his own mind flashing to a day IRL when an unfamiliar dog had sunk it's teeth into his arm.

After Stryder introduces himself, he made a comment about Pinball that made Reinholt chuckle. Pinball was most certainly an odd duck, but that's part of the reason Reinholt liked him. "So you're headed to the frontlines? I respect that. I've slacked off way too much but now I am grinding my way to join the fight. But as far as Pinball recruiting me, I can't say he did much other than give me your name. I had heard about the Guardians and have been considering joining since I began the grind. I feel like we share many of the same values."

He pauses, his head tilted to the side. Trail by fire? I mean, we fought sand snake dude, but Pinball did all the work... He thought to himself before shaking his head. " We went on a quest together, but honestly he did most of the work. So I wouldn't call it a trail by fire."

  15. Reinholt enters his shop, thankful of the warm air inside. It was a rather brisk day on the 7th floor, and he had been put and about in it for most of the day. But it was time to try to craft some stuff and gain some EXP. The more he attempted, the more xp he got, the easier it would to craft. Plus right now he seemed to only be able to make weapons, but after he gained some blacksmithing levels he could make heavy armor and shields. He changes out of his armor and into his normal shop attire, heading up to his forge. He grabs his material sets it on the anvil and then raises his hammer above his head. The rest of his night was lost in the rhythmic ting of his hammer.

  16. Reinholt stood there, unflinching as the thunder bolt streaked across the sky. Then icy cold rain picked up and he stood there, staring at Pinball. His big frame silhouetted in the dark and icy rain. "Hey, you're the one who faked a robbery, just so you could get me here and we could go on this quest. This is your fault. Not mine." He says grumbling, shaking his head. The poncho did very little, well nothing, against the cold rain, so he was a bit surly. The prospect of getting some massive XP and lord knows what else from this quest was nice, but the rain was making this not as much fun as it was last time. "Let's go find this things lair so we can at least hopefully get out of this weather." He says, his face almost completely obscured by shadows and rain. For some reason, the weather probably, he was suddenly super grumpy.

  17. Reinholt opens his menu as he walks. With one hand he navigates to his inventory and initiates a trade with Fetu Lagi for his sword. It was a plain two handed straight sword that had a +1 DMG and +1 ACC. With his free hand he reaches and sweeps his Rain-slicked hair out of his face again. "There you go, Fetu Lagi. Just accept the trade request and its yours. And forgive Pinhead up there, hes a bit of a bone head sometimes." Surely Pinball was just being a jokester and not purposely being a bozo. "You can run as much as you like Pinball. I'll walk. Rain or not." He says as they finally leave Urbus and enter the wilderness. Obviously Pinball has done this quest before so Reinholt was more than happy to let him lead the way. Plus if Pinball caused any high level monsters to spawn, due to his level, Fetu Lagi would be fairly safe this far back.

  18. Reinholt takes her hand in his and politely inclines his head. "Nice to meet you, Macaroon." He pauses for a moment and slightly tilts his head. "Isn't that a cookie or something?" He says but winces slightly and rubs the back of his neck with his free hand. "Sorry, that was rude of me to ask." He offers her another smile and releases her hand. "I'm Reinholt. It is an honor." He says, finally realizing he hadn't introduced himself. He felt way out of place, social gatherings without swords and monsters were most definitely not his area of expertise. With a sigh he turns to the bar and orders another water. The bartender delivers a glass and Reinholt takes the glass in his hand and tips it toward Macaroon, feeling fairly awkward himself. He looks around the party. THere were many other players around, some even with their familiar's. He would really like to get one himself soon.

  19. Reinholt watched Spangie with an amused smile as she nervously explained herself. He was glad that he was out of those awkward teenage years that's for sure. He personally wanted to fast track himself to the frontline, where-as many other players were happy just surviving. "I mean to make it to the Frontline as quickly as possible. I've kept to myself for far too long." He says before take her hand in his to 'shake on it'. His hand was much larger than hers, which made him smirk to himself. "Well Spangie, you can call me Reinholt, or basically any combination of it. I don't really care. And dont worry, while you're with me, I'll protect you." He winks at her and flashes a smile. He was pretty sure she was a higher level then he was, but it was the thought that counts, right? One day though, he would be able to say that and actually mean it.

  20. Reinholt hadn't been sitting there very long when he hears someone shout and then spots a player just as he falls out of a tree, followed by a wolf that lands on top of him. Chuckling softly Reinholt watches as the player stands up and starts to walk toward him. After the player asks starts talking to him Reinholt nods and rises to his feet, offering his hand to be shook. IRL he would of been surprised to see someone still in their teens with such good intentions and the drive to lead people to a better tomorrow, but here in SAO it was fairly normal.

"I am. That must mean you're Stryder." He says offering a smile. "Thanks for meeting with me. I've been interested in your guild for awhile, but am just now at a place i feel like i would help more so a problem, if that makes sense." Granted, he wanted their help to grind his levels so he could make it to the front line, but was fully prepared to offer his skills and help in return.

  21. Reinholt grimaced against the wind. "Yeah, as long as we don't get struck by lightning or tossed in a tornado I think we'll be fine." He looks around and shrugs his shoulders. "The fastest way to the front line is getting as much XP as I can. If that means taking chances, then so be it. Not to mention I picked up some new sword skills that I think will be nice. So lead the way, pal. Maybe if this storm blows over we can find some other trouble to get into." He had to hold the sides of the poncho so it wouldn't go flying into his face. The wind was crazy, but this Monkey King sounded pretty interesting and he trusted Pinball. If he said everything would be gold, it would be to fine, but he did have a potion or two he could use if he thought he would need it.

  22. Reinholt sat behind the counter of his shop, his feet propped up on it. He wore his black pants and tank top, with a plain brown leather apron on. With him being a new blacksmith he knew wouldn't get to much business, but he hadn't seen anyone all day. So opens his menu and starts to search for a player. After finding the player he smirks and starts to type out a message.

    Spoiler

    To: Stryder

Subject: Guardians of the New Dawn

Hey Stryder. Was given your name by a friend of mine, Pinball. I've been thinking about joining the Guardians of the New Dawn and would like to talk to you about it.

I have a quest that I accepted but haven't done it down on the 3rd floor. I'm going to head that way now and hang out by the warp gate in Delilah for awhile if you want to meet me there. Can't miss me. Blonde hair/beard, eye patch, dragon bone armor.

    Reinholt Shield-Wolf.

He exits his messages and switches to his inventory screen. He changes into his Dragon Bone armor and equips Darukai, before closing his menus and rising to his feet. He exits his shop, making his way through Nimbus to the Warp gate. He warps to the 3rd floor and finds a bench near the gate and sits down, kicks his feet out and relaxes for either a response to his message or for the player to come meet him.

    @Stryder

  23. "I mean, they each have pro's and con's but it just mainly depends on what you.." He is interrupted by the purple dragon that flew between them. It hovered there for a minute then started running all over the Player. Chuckling, Reinholt steps back and runs a hand through his beard. That thing was lightning fast and soon stopped on the players shoulder and licks his cheek. Just then the other player he had saw, the owner of the dragon, comes over and apologizes. "No apologies needed, from me at least." He was still chuckling softly. The second player introduced himself as Itzal, the name sounded vaguely familiar but Reinholt shrugs it off. "Names Reinholt, I'm planning to become a blacksmith. This guy doesn't know what he wants to do though, i think he had narrowed it down to a couple options." He tucks his thumbs into his belt, looking between Itzal and the other player, and the pretty cool purple Dragon.

  24. Reinholt grins to himself, leaning on the counter of his new shop, Shield-Wolf's Forge. He had thought up a number a names, even decided on Honor's Flame. That was until Shield-Wolf came to him. It described him quite accurately, a shield to those who need it yet ferocious like a wolf. He looks around with an accomplished smile. The place was pretty bare bones right now, the biggest peice of decoration was the Shield-Wolf emblem that was set into the floor. But other than a couple chairs, there wasn't much. He smiles to himself and heads up the stairs to the forge. Can't have a shop with nothing to sell. He picks up his hammer and starts crafting.
