  1. "Fine..." He sighs, standing up and digging for materials. "Nothing again." He complained, he walks over to her and pushes her with his foot. "I didn't plan on sleeping out here either, or in the same world as you, but stuff happens." He chuckles. "You need your sleep, I'll keep doing my quest." He explains. He looks at her and drops his cloak for her. He sits by a tree and watches her. Why did it have to be HER? I'm alone in the woods with a girl, but it's HER... He chuckles, "Whatever..." and shakes his head. He rolls a log over to her and cuts it in half. "Use this as a pillow." He suggests. "You know, I'd take you to kill them with me, but it might be boring, I fought them off with a broken sword." He chuckles. "And I agree, shields are dumb."

  2. "You're not orange either." He pointed out. "And Fury's Hand is my baby, she'll protect me if I'm attacked, It's why I don't carry a shield." He says hugging the sword. He stands up and sheathes the sword. He walks back to the spot to dig, "Who's hiding these materials, cause they're doodoo heads." He says, kicking a tree. He walks back and sits down. "I didn't kill them, but I will. It was the people who killed my brother." He said. He shook his head, "But enough of my past." He looks at the sky and sighs. "This world is stupid. The days always suck." He says picking a flower. "I used to go hunting with my dad's side of the family, so I know the woods, but I hate these woods." I did love hunting with them. He stabs the flower. "Trees are dumb, outside is dumb. People are dumb." He says, laying down and rolling over, using his coat like a blanket. "You are pretty strong. Ni-night..." He murmurs.

  3. When she says bam, Dustin grabs his stomach and stumbles back, like he had been shot. "Go ahead, but by then, I'll be strong enough to at least fend off a flimsy spear." He says chuckling, touching the tip of the spear, "Ouch." He mumbles, flipping his hand around. "That's sharp." He walks over to a new spot and digs for stuff. "Still nothing. Is this what it's like when you try to think of nice things to say?" He laughs. He walks over and sits against a tree near her. "So, this is fun." He complains, drawing his sword, pointing it at her. "This is Fury's Hand." He explains, "This baby has done... absolutely nothing."

    He looks at her and smiles. "Still, you would probably beat me." He laughs, leaning his head against the tree. "I don't do much fighting players." He drops his head, "Only like three or four, ever." He pulls his hood off and fixes his messy hair. He stood up and started throwing rocks at trees as hard as he could. "What were you saying when I so rudely threw the rock at you?"

  4. He stands up, and walks back to dig again. He stands up and walks back over to her. "I told you not to hit me," He sits against his sword again, "But it's cool, it only hurt a little." He picks up a rock and chucks it at a tree. He keeps chucking them at trees to pass time. He gently chucks one at her and it hits her in the forehead. "Oh shootsidoodles, I'm so sorry." He runs next to her, "Now you have permission to do whatever you want to me." He stands up and picks up his sword and sheathes it. He looks at her, "I am sorry." He scratches the back of his head, "I hate that I did that. Why did I do that? Why am I so stupid?" He picks up the rock, and tosses it up and catches it. He puts it in his pocket and walks towards her. He holds out his hand to help her up. "We should find a better spot."

  5. "Five more minutes." He groans, but he rolls over quickly and sits up. "OWW!" He shouts, "I rolled onto a ding dang rock."  He stands up and kicks the rock, but it bounces off a tree and hits him in the face. He rubs his face and walks over to keep digging. He stands up and walks to the spot he slept, stabs his sword into the ground and leans against the flat of the blade. He yawns, "You should be more grateful, this is better than that stupid rock over there. By the way, you look like hell." He laughs, "Kidding. Don't go hitting me again please." He continues.

    He looks off into the distance. "You know, I'm glad our hair doesn't get disgusting in this game like it does in real life. It sucks, taking care of hair." He claims, looking back at her, "Er, at least tedious. Wait, our hair must be gross in the real world." He says, scrunching his face in disgust. He smiles at her, "I bet mine looks great though." He laughs.

  6. "Oh, hello." He said. "Sorry, I didn't see you. Name's Dustin." He stood up and helped her up. "Where were you headed to?" He asked, "I assume the ground was not your intended destination." He chuckled. "If you need any help, I'd be glad to." Wait, this probably seems like a bad attempt at a flirtatious notion. He looked around. "Have you seen my brother? Light brown hair, short, looks to be about 12." He asked. "I have little skill, but I'll help you if you need it." He continued, "Money back probably guaranteed." He finished, with a thumbs up. He turned around, "I need your help anyways." He explained, "How can I help these people if they won't listen?" He continued. "Even still, don't know how much help you'll be." He climbed back up to the base of the tower. "You won't even watch where you're going." He reached down to help her up to the base of the tower. "Care to join me?"

  7. He keeps digging, but still finds nothing. "I'm starting to get mad." He says.  He gets up to walk back over to the rock and sits next to the rock. "You know, I've never been this deep in the woods." He announces, trying to break the silence. He tries to push the rock, but it doesn't budge. He keeps trying, using all of his strength and moving the dirt on the ground. He's almost completely horizontal when his arms give out and he falls flat on his face. He gives a thumbs up without even lifting his head off of the ground. He rolls over and just stares up into the sky. "OOH! That... one looks just like... a cloud." He pants, pointing to a shapeless whit blob in the sky. He continues to lay there and point out clouds. He rolls onto his side, and coughs.  "You know, this ground is super comfy." He says. He smiles, genuinely. He closes his eyes and starts to doze off.

  8. He keeps digging, until he hears her say it was his fault. He looks at her with anger in his eyes. He continues to dig until, "Dagflabbit, nothing." He stands up and walks to the rock she sits on. "Ya know, I think you're not giving yourself enough credit." He claims, "I think you're stronger than you're letting on." He says, leaning his back against the other side of the rock. "My strength is a total mystery, but whatever it is, I got it from the losses I've experienced." He sighs. "You know, you're the strongest player who's helped me. And I have been in a fight. I fought the people who killed my brother. I barely won, but I survived." He slams his fist on the ground. He stands up and moves in front of her, "I promise not to die until my debt has been repaid." He says, "Money back guaranteed." He continues, with a weak smile on his face and a thumbs up. "Anyhow, so far I've done all of the real talking, you've just replied. It's your turn." He nods to her.

  9. Dustin digs around again, looking for something. "Even with no monsters, this has been pretty fun," He mentions, "but all I've done for a while was read the news." He continues to dig. "It was my fault. I'm the reason he died." He says, standing up. "Nothing." He says, looking at the area he spent so long searching through. She doesn't need to know the story. Besides, it's pretty boring anyways. He looks back in the direction of the knife he left in the ground, tears stream down his face. He turns to her and asks, "Please, don't die. I still owe you for what happened in the city. And also for this." He pulls his hood up to cover his eyes and leans against a tree and drops down, sitting against the tree. He shuts his eyes and just sits there. He puts his hands on his face. "I'm not usually such a cry baby," He says, his voice muffled by his hands. "It was one year ago today that he died."

  10. "I probably shouldn't have told mom I'd be off by dinner." Dustin looked around and saw all of the other players petrified, so he walked towards the center of the crowd and sat down, leaning against the teleport gate and closed his eyes. He tried to sleep, but pictured his brother dying. Well that wouldn't be very good, Mom would kill me. Still, he stayed in place, clenching his fists, just watching the crowd. "None of them have moved. Not even an inch." He climbed to the base of the clock tower and shouted, "Anyone who doesn't want to die should probably get the stuff they need to survive!" He sat down and waited for something, anything to happen. He looked for the people who are moving and told the closest people to go after them and ask for help. He dropped back down and sat down, waiting for anyone to approach him.

  11. "If I'm not mistaken, here'll be just fine." He sighed and prepared to search for the materials. He crouched down and started focusing on the task at hand, and just kept digging. "So, how has your day been? Ya know, before I ruined it." He asked, trying to initiate another conversation. "I'm not very good at the whole talking to people thing, that was always my brother's job." He explained. She knows that you bumbling idiot. He continues to dig for a few minutes, when he suddenly shouts, "Frick yeah!" and jumps into the air in excitement. He looks at her and says, "By the way, I've been a solo player since I saw my brother die."

    He pulls his hood to cover his eyes and lets out a deep breath. "Sorry, didn't mean to be so depressing. My bad." Looking at her again, "You're almost as tall as he was." He points out, looking back towards the ground. "He was nicer though. Never knew the pains of the world."

  12. He looks at her red face and thinks, "Sorry, I got carried away." He states, looking away. "If it bothers you that much, you could always just hit me." He says, pointing to his cheek, "Right here." Why am I giving her permission to hit me. She'd probably kill me in one hit. He squints at her, maybe, or, she could do a little damage. "I've been to America to visit family once or twice, but nowhere else." He continues, "You're probably right, I am pretty weak."

    "HEY! The flower took me by surprise." He explained, "But, roses are no laughing matter. Those little fart knockers will destroy your shins." He says. "You're so much stronger than me though, all I can do is swing a sword, you've gone out and fought monsters." He points out, "All I've done is watched foo hit the fan and my friends die." He pulls his hood off. "And you're also pretty cool." He claims, looking her in the eyes.

    @Asakku

  13. Dustin flails his entire body around trying to get air, completely unaware of what just happened. He rubs the back of his head, "Sorry." He says, smiling innocently. He stands up and pulls his hood over his eyes. "I'll get serious now." He claims, looking at the broken sword in his hand. "And hey, that was rude." He adds, looking at the scary looking woman in front of him. He looks towards the other player in his group, "The name's Dustin, and I specialize in pretty much nothing." He explains, letting out a small chuckle of self pity. He drops his shoulders and head, "Sorry you all got grouped with the weakest here." He looks at Froppy, "But I'll try not to be completely useless." He exclaims, with a smile on his face. He walks toward the rest of his group, head lowered, watching everyone's feet. "I don't like being awake, so let's get this show on the road." He finished, reaching out for a handshake.

    @Froppy @Jevi

  14. He clenches his hands by his waists, as tears start to form, "Was," He corrected her, "It was nice." Greeeeeeeeeeat, now I'm crying. What am I, a dweeb? He draws the broken sword and just stares at in for a bit, then stabs it in the ground and walks forward, his hood completely covering his eyes. "Listen, thanks again for help on this," He states, "Even though you're so short that my jokes just go right over your head." He chuckles. "And sorry for being so gloomy, but I should tell you what I'm gonna do when I get out." He exclaims, "It'll kill the time at least." He breathes. "To be entirely honest, I planned on travelling the world with my little brother, but that's no longer an option. So now I plan to just go, only looking back to see my mom." He explained. Way to overdo it, halfwit. "By the by, your foot would never even get close to my face, I'm too fast." He says, trying to lighten the mood. He pulls his hood down off of his head and smiles, throwing out a thumbs up. Who put me in charge? 'Cause they're fired.

    He drops his hand, "Yeah, you're right, that was pretty dumb." He says quietly. He suddenly jumps back, grabbing the handle of his sword. "I... thought something... tried grabbing me..." He said, breathing heavily, He looks back at where he was. "It was a flower. A flower brushed my ankle. Why does the world hate me?" he complains.

    @Asakku

  15. "Oh fiddlesticks." He said as he stood up. He pulled his hood over his face again, and as they exited the town, he watched the birds in the sky and studied their flight patterns. "Must be nice to be able to just escape like that right?" He asked. Great, now I sound weird. He equipped his sword and payed attention to the enemies in the distance. How come when they die, they get to come back? He clutches a broken sword on his belt and stares blankly forward as they progress toward the destination. "What are you gonna do if we get out of here?" He asked, still as brooding as before. He then draws his sword and fiddles around with it to shine the glare in her eyes. He giggles the whole time he tries. If I blind her and something appears, I'll have to fight. Whatever, it's funny. He continues to try to blind her.

    "If my brother were here, he'd love this. He loved nature." He said looking at the ground again. "Sorry, I get distracted sometimes." He apologized. He sheathed his blade and shut up.

  16. "Well then we're off." He says, moving towards the exit of town. As he walks he jumps and clicks his heels together, but as he lands he shouts. "AH THOOT! I bit my tongue." he turns towards her, walking backwards. "You're an angry elf, aren't you?" He says smirking. He turns quickly and stops just shy of a table. He exhales in relief. "That would've hurt." He claims. "You're lucky, you woulda gone right under the table unscathed." He stops laughing so hard he bends over and smacks his knee. He laughs until he snorts, at which point he stops, and just stares at the ground. "Not. A. Word." He demands. He stands up and walks towards her, and takes his hood completely off. He drops to his knees and begs her not to say anything. "You can say anything about me begging. But not a word about my snorting." He begs.

  17. He looks up in excitement. "Thank you," He says, "I know it's only a gathering quest but those can be boring." He says, with a big smile and chuckles a little bit. I can't believe this. He nods, "Okay, so, where do we go?" He asks, "and don't worry, if we follow the right walking pattern, there'll never be sun in your eyes." He smiles, and pulls his hood over his eyes. "I truly am sorry to be such a nuisance." He says in a far more serious tone. He thinks for a second then jumps in excitement. "AHA! I'VE GOT IT!" He shouts, "No wait, that wont work..." He starts to mumble to himself. Maybe if this works out, I'll have a friend. "No, she's to short for that..." He mumbles loudly so she would hear. "No, I'm putting way to much thought into this." He laughs cheerfully.

    "Be honest, how dumb do I sound right now?" He asks. "To be honest, it's my past that scares me, not this quest, but that's not important. You lead the way boss." He remarks.

  18. She is so lucky I have patience. "I'll try," He retorts, "I may be a giant, but at least I can reach the top shelf." He smirks. Why am I insulting her now? What did I miss? He enters the store to find the old Hermit, and opens his inventory. "Hey Asakku, sorry to be such a pain," He says, with almost no joy in his eyes, "But would you help me with this quest? I am only level one, so I'm not very good. I know I'm a dork and no fun to be around, but, I really need the help." What am I doing? She hates me, why did I ask her? "I don't want to die, not yet at least." He says clenching his fists at his sides. I have a plan, not a good one, but once I'm strong enough, I'll make sure no one else dies. He stares at the ground, preparing for the worst.

  19. "Well, nice to meet you Asakku. Sorry again for slowing you down." He says, dropping his head. "I knew it was a long shot anyways, no need to help anyone in this death game, right? Cool familiar by the way." He leans against the wall. "I need to go to a shop too, I just don't know which one to go to." He sighs. "Well again, nice to meet you." He smiles and walks face first into the store's sign. "Ow, Fu... Shi... Crap!" He shouts, taken by surprise. "Isn't the first time I lost a fight to a sign." He says, smacking the sign, smiling at the strange, short, girl. Nice to see I'm just as bad at talking to girls in this game as I am in the real world. Was, in the real world. He looks at her face, observing her obvious discomfort. "Sorry I was such a bother." He says, with his head lowered.

    "Well, it was nice meeting you. Make sure you don't run into any tables, mean short girl." He says, turning to walk into the store, pushing a pull door. Great job idiot, way to look smooth in front of everyone.

  20. "Hey, sorry. I guess I need to watch where I'm going." He replies. He rubs his head with an innocent smile and extends a hand for a handshake. "My name is Dustin. You, my friend, look unsettled. Anything I could help you with?" He asks, secretly hoping she'd say yes. He looks at her in the eyes and pats her on the head. "Even if you don't NEED the help, I'd be glad to. If not for anything else, then at least to make it up to you." He smiles. He stands up as tall as he can and smiles, almost as if he were proud. He points to himself and smiles. "I could really use a friend." He says, almost as if he's bragging about it. "Heck, I'd buy you a drink, if I knew where the drink places were." He says. WAIT, THAT SOUNDS LIKE I'M INTO HER! He covers his mouth and his eyes widen, staring into the distance, completely motionless. His cheeks also red.

  21. Dustin sits in the back, watching the stronger players step up to lead, and looks at his brothers broken sword and clutches the handle. "I'm open to join a group, but I'm not the best with others, and I don't entirely understand the mission. I was hoping someone could fill me in." Dustin pulls a hood up to hide his face. "I don't much like people, but I'm looking to make a few friends, no one survives this death game alone right?" He looks around. "You all appear to be a lot stronger, but I'm fast, and I know how to use a sword. It's better than nothing." He leans against the wall and lowers his head. "Besides, not much better to do down here, right?" He lowers to a sitting position against the wall. He falls asleep there, with the broken sword in hand, held tightly. He snores loudly.

    Profile:

    Height: 6ft (183 cm)

    Age: 17-19

    Real Name: Dustin Salyer

    UserName: Dustin

    History: Dustin's father died when he was 10. It was this loss that drove him to playing video games. A short while after the game started Dustin watched his brother and friends get murdered by a small murder guild. He used his brother's broken sword, to fight the murder guild off. Now he protects people who need to be protected. He's rather shy due to his trauma. He plans to get strong enough to wipe out the guild that killed his brother. He also plans to do so alone, not very smart, this fellow.

    While he is rather new, he has had sword training outside of the game, not very extensive, and rather flawed. He intended to refine his skills through this game. He wants to avenge his brother, that's his main goal. He was a gamer before, so he got a job and saved up for the nerve gear and even bought one for his brother. He has a sharp mind, and plans to use it to his advantage, but he is just a kid. He now feels it is his fault that his brother is dead. He blames himself and Kayaba, and doesn't plan to die until he's stopped Kayaba.

    Virtues:

    Dustin tries to be as honorable as possible, like a knight from a fairy tale. It's always been one of his goals, and he plans to achieve it. He lives by a certain code, to live with honor, and die with glory. He tries to be like the knights from fairy tales himself, he used to be teased for it. He also hates people who hurt weaker players for no reason.

    Dustin also tries to be honest, which is easy most of the time. Though he can be too honest, he tries to be honest. It's because his brother rarely ever lied, and he wants to be just like him. This habit has cost him friends but, he still tries.

    Dustin is a gentleman, because he was raised that way. He always helps women and children, he puts other before himself. He even holds doors. He likes to do this to try to impress people like his mother.

    Dustin can be good with a sword, he practices everyday. He loves combat and has trouble avoiding it. He controls the battle field almost every time, and uses his wit to make decisions based on that. He also has a habit of analyzing the target's movements, and uses his memory to attack the weakest point.

    Flaws:

    He can be emotionally distant, this is one of his greatest downfalls. He can be heartless at random times, and it's bad. He pushes people away because he's scared to lose more friends, so I mean I guess there is a reason.

    Dustin can be bad at judgement calls when murder guilds are involved, or criminals of any kind. He wants to get vengeance or to die trying, and he doesn't care which he gets at times. His choices very well could make the latter more possible though, and he does love a little danger.

    Dustin gets a bit carried away in combat. He can lose complete control but hates to do so. When he loses control, talking him down is pretty close to impossible. He absolutely hates losing control around other players, because his attacks stop being planned out. He will attack anything in sight, not caring who is on the other side of his blade.

    Dustin has trust issues due to people killing his brother. Having seen this go down, he has found it hard to not see someone as a threat. He does manage get a lot better once he does trust you, but there will always be a seed of doubt in his mind. It only takes a small amount of mistakes to make that seed grow into hatred.
