  1. Shiro lunges forward, slamming his fist into the rock. “Why is this stupid rock so damn tough? It doesn’t even move.” He hides under his hood as the rock’s health drops just a little. Seriously, nothing else in this game is like this, and they usually move. Why is this one so different. Also, this rock is the only breakable rock I know of, so it’s obvious this was gonna be a quest from the start. Kayaba, you’re a prick. The boy pulls out a cup of coffee and nods before taking another sip of the scalding hot, and also incredibly bitter drink. Why is it whenever I do something without Misako, something goes wrong? That just makes everything annoying. Why did I accept this stupid quest? It’s such a drag. He puts his hands in his pockets and sits down.

  2. “White hair, small gentle face.” He says. His mouth begins to move by itself as he describes it until he reaches the last detail. “She’s almost always smiling.” He says. (OOC: He describes her without me describing her) His hands move over to the drink as he picks it up and takes the last drink from the cup. “That’s the last of my drink. And the cookies are almost gone. Should I get more?” He asks. A smile grows on his face. “Thank you for helping me.” He looks at the table once more, this time an actual emotion showing behind his voice. It’s thankful. The voice has a touch of happiness in it too. This voice wa rarely ever heard out of the boy’s mouth, but it couldn’t stay in any more. This girl was helping him find his sister, and that was the best thing that could ever happen to him. “You’re a cool gal, stay that way.” He smiles, waving the waiter over as his face moves back to the enotionless setting. “Another cup of coffee and some Oreos please. I haven’t eaten in a few days.” He looks into the waiters eyes and back at the girl. It was obvious he wasn’t lying. The part that probably stuck out most was when he set his hands on the table. The glowing red on his knuckles. It was obvious he was just out punching something for a long time.

  3. Shiro sat on the bench and looked up at the sky, not waiting for anything in particular to happen, just watching the time go by while he sat there. Then the girl who had helped him walked up and thanked him. This was unusual, as Shiro rarely ever helped anyone. “While that may be true, I wouldn’t have been able to kill the elf without you either. That elf would have killed me in three hits. Two if he got a critical hit.” He says with a soft look in his eyes. He was still hiding his emotions, but his usually callous look would to the exact opposite of what he wanted to do in this situation. You can trust her, but not too much. Become friends with her if you can. He looks at her one eye and grins a little. “Listen, don’t sell yourself so short, Everyone is good at something. I’m good at violin and singing. My sister is good at pranks. If you ever need help, or just want some music to listen to, just message me.” He nods, sitting up and looking at all the other players, while keeping the girl in his vision.

  4. Huginn walks out of the town and into the field. The player knew exactly where the quest takes place, so he knew where to go. So I plan on getting through this quest without hitting a single enemy. He slips into the outskirts of the camp and looks towards the center noticing there are only 4 enemies around him. He looks back at the girl as he ducked behind a crate, and looked around the side. This is incredibly dangerous, one hit and I’m dead. But this will be great for xp, the higher level quests always give out more. He slips around like a shadow, following a single Bandit til he walked alone in a dark area, which made sneaking around much easier on the boy who was named after a spy in ancient mythology. It’s time I started gathering information, that would make questing way easier for the players who just want to survive this stupid game. He blends into his environment with all the black clothing. The white necklace however glares a little so the boy hides it behind his sweatshirt. I’ll do anything to make it back to Misako. He clenches his fists and watches the bandit sit down to get a snack.

  5. Shiro pulled out his hands and launched forward, spinning and slamming his fist into the rock, his knuckles catching the cracks and doing an extra little bit of damage. He jumped backwards about 10 feet and spins on his heel. “This is getting fun.” He smiles as he had begun to enjoy the whole quest. His body had been in pain for a bit and He was finally feeling better. This might just take some less time than before. Hopefully I can keep it up. He slips his hands in his pockets and nods as he looks around. His mind was lookin at all possible attack angles and he notes them all in his head. This is gonna be way easier from here on out. I can’t think of a better way to complete this quest. He slips out a cup of warm coffee and he takes a sip. This is some good coffee, I forget where I got it but it’s pretty damn delicious. He nods, slipping it back into his inventory once again.

  6. Shiro pulls his head back up taking a sip of his coffee. He looks at the girl with an emotionless stare once again. “I don’t like people very much. Especially not the ones who can find me anytime at all and do whatever the hell they want.” He looks at her and begins to think. “And info brokers aren’t exactly super trustworthy either.” He says, leaning back in his chair. His body kept telling him he can relax but his mind keeps saying the he can’t trust her. His body was in turmoil so he decided to he couldn’t trust her just yet. She hadn’t done anything to not trust her, but people have acted nice before only to turn around and stab the boy in the back. “Also I don’t like people being able to ask someone where I am.” He nods, sliding an Oreo in his mouth. The snack was oddly childish for the genius who enjoyed it, but he had always liked them. He offers a cookie to the girl and takes another drink. “You want one? They’re really good.” He had never offered to share his Oreos with anyone other than his sister before, so this was kind of a big deal for him.

    @Mishiro

  7. The boy nods and accepts the party invite. Guess she’s not a talker, that’s a relief. He walks behind her, looking through his inventory for any extra consumables but finds nothing. He knew the whole ordeal was risky and was entirely ready to die, but he didn’t realize that he needed extra stuff. All I wanted to do was learn to sneak past stuff, but I guess you don’t learn until you’re likely to die. “Ma’am, sorry to bother you, but do you know the stats of the enemies on this quest?” He throws his spear on his back and slips his hands in his pockets. His face still emotionless and he keeps following the girl. I have no idea about this floor, I should’ve asked around. Damn I think Misako is rubbing off on me. He keeps walking, keeping his hood over half of his head to hide the emotion behind his eyes. The hoodie helped him keep himself hidden, especially from the people around him.

    @Neopolitan

  8. The boy walked as the girl tried to explain. “No, it’s not your fault. Not everyone is as cold hearted as I am.” He slips his hands in his pockets. Misako said that after the first fight. I was ready to break their bodies and spirit, but they deserved it. They messed with my sister. He walks with his hood over his emotionless face and looks back at her. The boy’s lack of emotions faded, revealing his true feelings. He felt like he was a heartless monster. He had to be though. Emotions distract from the real, and the real was what Shiro used to protect his sister. “I’m gonna wait out here, you head in.” He sat down outside the shop in which the quest was obtained, and waited for the other player. Why do I have to be a monster? All I want to do is protect my loved ones. Why can’t I even do that? He slips his hands out and takes a drink from a bottle of Sake. He takes a drink and smiles, laying across the bench in front of the shop.

    @Jinx

  9. “Huh, I guess it does work, but what if she’s fighting a strong monster and gets hurt?” He begins to worry. The boy had always worried about sending a message to his sister at the wrong time and her dying because of it. That’s why he didn’t send her a friend request. Why wouldn’t I send her a friend request? I’m such an idiot. He takes another drink of his black coffee, and slips another Oreo in his mouth. “I’d never forgive myself if someone I cared about got hurt because of me.” He says with a sadness in his voice. Usually his voice was calm and serious, showing no emotion whatsoever, but this time the boy’s voice was different. He also stared down past his coffee, like he was seeing right through it. She probably thinks I’m a weirdo, but if I care about someone, it’s my duty to protect them. It’s why I spent countless hours training to protect Misako. It’s why I fought all those bullies in school. He looks at the girl. “Sorry, I got lost in thought. What were we talking about? Oh, the meaning behind the names.” He begins to think. “Well Odin has these ravens, they’re twins, named Huginn and Muninn. They’re there to spy for Odin. Muninn was white and Huginn was black. Obviously that also inspired our names.” He smiles thinking about the story behind they’re names. He had never told the story behind his name, it was unusual to him. “We were all over thanks to Misako, and I was great at gathering information, and My dad made a joke about us being his ravens. I decided to look into it and I told Misako about the names. She loved them and I love her, so we stuck with them. Now it’s my name on every platform out there.” His hand grabs the coffee and takes a drink.

    @Mishiro

  10. The player watched as people teleported to the floor, but none seemed to match the description in the message. That is until one female player stood out. Oh god. She’s probably gonna be annoying as hell. He sighs, taking a few steps towards her and noticing her flip open a parasol. That seems pointless on a floor like this. Maybe on the first few it would actually have a use, but here it’s just pointless weight. Shiro’s hood could be described the same way, but the hood helped him hide. He walks up to the girl and taps on her shoulder. His face emotionless as he looks her up and down and opens a message. “Is this you?” He points to the message. The vague description reveals nothing about the player before him other than the bright apparel and bright hair. They appeared to be opposites, and this bugged Shiro. How can I work with someone so different from myself? This is gonna be absolutely terrible. He had made his judgements on the player, and wasn’t ready to change those judgements. I hope she’s not too loud. He side steps and waves his hands as if to say “lead the way.”

    @Neopolitan

  11. Shiro had heard of the bandit camp, but upon further investigation heard that it was way too high leveled for him to clear by himself. He looked around in the main town on the ninth floor for help in the matter, but his timidity kept him from trying to meet random players. So he sent out a message to his friend, but they couldn’t come out to help. So they sent a message to their friend. This followed a long chain until he got a message from that old friend.  A high leveled player on their way to help? Don’t be surprised by bright colors? What the hell does that mean? His mind begins to paint a picture of a man who is far taller than himself, far more muscular, and incredibly bubbly. The man uses a battle axe and has a curly cue mustache with a unicorn on his bright yellow and purple shirt. No way in hell am I going adventuring with someone like that. He looks like a dork. But I could be surprised, actually more than likely I will be. No one can look like that it’s not possible. Then again, they could end up being just like Muninn. He waits by the teleport gate for someone who matches the vague description provided by his friend who had apparently ordered from this player’s restaurant once and the food was delicious. So they cook, they’re a high level player and they are brightly colored... damn that sounds like a dork. I hope they’re not too loud, I don’t feel like getting annoyed today. He sighs, holding a cup of black coffee he got at a cafe down the street. All I wanted to do today is learn how to use the stealth mechanics in this game. But I guess I might have to fight these things head on. Damn it. I’m gonna regret this. He looks worriedly at his necklace dangling from his neck. The white bird at the end of the chain sticks out like a sore thumb over the player’s black jacket.

    @Neopolitan

  12. The boy pulls up his fist, and launches it into the rock. His wrist buckles and he winces. The bottle in his inventory appears once more, the drink inside swishing as he takes another swig. The bite of the drink makes the boy nod. The flavor began to grow on him. The wind in the canyon however did not, and that made the matter of breaking the rock that much more tedious. His eyes couldn’t help but stare at the health bar, and can’t help but be disappointed over the fact that he messed up on that last hit. Something he hadn’t done in a good amount of time. It was aggravating to the boy because he had spent so many hours trying to make sure the pain wouldn’t get to him. It hurt him both physically and mentally to mess up so badly. I must be more tired than I thought, I should take a break. His hands slide into the pockets on his black jacket.

  13. The boy’s unwavering will remained yet unbroken. The rock’s health bar remained the same, so the boy kicked up and jumped forward, slamming his fist into the rock. His hand slipped on the surface, revealing a red streak on the rock. It almost looked like when he used to punch trees, training his fists for defending his sister. I had to get stronger, so I spent hours every day trying to raise my pain tolerance. I lost so much time and ruined my hands, but it was worth it. His hands move into his pockets and flips his hood up. His sunglasses cover his eyes hiding the true emotion of regret behind his eyes. The player shoved this regret to the side, and he pulls his hands back up. The player glances up at the rock’s healthbar and smiles. He takes another drink and nods. This sake stuff really grows on you. They make this out of Rice, so I have no idea why my dad always tried hide his alcohol from me. Misako, thank you, I always followed the rules. You showed me that isn’t the way. He takes another sip and eats a cookie reminiscent of an Oreo.

  14. Shiro drew back his hand and throws it forward. The collision with the rock releases a crunch as Shiro’s hand grows a little more red and the rock grows a little more damaged. His smile grew with the crack on the rock’s face. He drew his hand back again, and before he could swing again, his body decided to quit on him. He wasn’t able to keep fighting. His body rejected the notion. While he tried to convince his legs to move, his breath was very heavy and his eyes were getting foggy. He was sleep deprived and starving and thirsty. He pulls out a flask and takes a nip. “The best drink is one in the heat.” He looks at the flask, revealing it to be full of sake. Sake being rice wine, the boy wasn’t expecting a buzz. He wasn’t even expecting a good drink. The lack of a refreshing taste made the boy’s lips shape and reveal the bitter nature of the drink. He slips the drink back into his inventory. Looks back at the rock’s health and nods, satisfied with the damage.

  15. Shiro drew his fist back once more, his hand comes flying in to collide with the rock. The rock’s health drops once more, making Shiro grin a little as he had done some extra damage to the one thing he had to for this quest. Man, doing quests is far more boring without Misako. Especially this quest. I should’ve prepared more for this. What if I break this rock and on the other side is a huge monster. Then I’ll have to worry about that. But I can deal, if it’s a monster I can use my spear. I just don’t want to break it on this stupid rock. He notices the cracks on the rock growing thicker and deeper now instead of covering a higher amount of surface area on the rock. So perseverance is the goal of this quest. Nice. Now that I know this quest’s goal, I can over come it far easier. He nods, knowing that if perseverance is key, he and his sister were made for this quest. They were both pretty bull headed, but Misako was far more stubborn than the boy. If she were here, we would’ve finished it much quicker just so she could get it done. He smiles, putting his hands in his pockets.

  16. “Let’s go find out what it looks like. The quest has a progression meter correct? We’ll pick up random flowers until the progression changes.” He says with a thumbs up. He looks around, but only sees grass. We can do this, the odds are incalculably small, but we’ve surpassed greater odds. There was that one time I beat up those bullies. The odds were against us then, of course they are now. He nods after having reassured himself. He was almost never actually taken aback by something and he never gets too scared to go on. It was one of his few traits that remained obvious even in the game. His face shifted back into it’s emotionless glare as he walked into the field to try to find something. His eyes moved over the field intensely, but alas it was to no avail. His efforts thwarted by not being prepared. “Damn it Misako, you picked the quest. The rule has always been, throughout every game we played, you want the quest? You get the info. You know that.” He says. He rarely ever got this emotional about not being able to do something. “I’m sorry Misako. You get 75% of the Oreos later.” He tried to apologize for the emotions that he had kept to himself for the past few weeks when they inevitably boiled over a little bit. Not even Misako had ever seen Shiro mad, so Shiro was scared about how she was gonna react.

  17. “Come on Misako. We have to get this done. I heard this world has Oreos.” He says, with the excitement of a child. They both knew that the boy, despite his serious and dark demeanor, his favorite snack was always Oreos. He always shared the package with his sister though. He would never hog them, because he always saw it as a luxury he wanted his sister to experience. “Maybe we can find some snacks for you.” His hands move into his pockets as he smiles walking out of the shop. This is gonna be awesome, doing a quest with Misako. She always know how to have fun. His hood being down allows his hair to blow in the wind. Something not even Misako sees all that often. Almost as rare as his smile, his hood being down was almost never seen because his hood helped him protect his emotions, and in a tough situation, emotions cloud judgement. The player pats his younger sister on the head and smiles, “Let’s go get this quest done so we can eat.” He laughs, something more rare than hearing a song from the boy’s mouth. It’s gonna be awesome. His hands move over his eyes as he rubs them. “It’s too early to be questing, so let’s get through this as fast as possible.” He mumbles.

    @Muninn

  18. Shiro nods. “Player name is Huginn.” He says, sitting back. It’s not like he didn’t believe her. More like he just wanted to make sure he wasn’t gonna look like a damn fool trying to message someone who doesn’t appear on his friends list. If this works, it’ll be far easier. But I was looking for help from someone. Misako always said, “make friends. You’re no fun by yourself.” He smiles at the table, his eyes close as he nods a little. “Right again Misako.” He says to himself quietly. The girl sitting across from him may hear the sentence, but the boy doesn’t care. The player had lost himself again, opening his eyes, only to see a cup of coffee in front of him. “Oh, I didn’t even notice the coffee being set here.” He picks up the cup and takes a sip. Just the way I like it. He grabs a few Oreos, and takes a bite. Yeah, this game’s taste mechanics are incredibly accurate. He slides one hand in his pocket and the other drinks the coffee as he leans back.

    @Mishiro

  19. Shiro listens to the girl and shakes his head. Don’t do it Yamashiro, she’ll just exploit you. Saving her isn’t worth it. The boy’s face morphs, revealing his true emotions. His anger and hatred for himself bubbles over. He kicks his spear with his foot, spinning it up and driving it into the Elf’s gut as the player rips the spear back out. What the hell? I can’t just go around saying who is worth helping and who isn’t. That’s called being a d*ck, and I don’t want to be seen that way. Especially not by Misako. The elf’s body disappears into a blue cloud. “I’m sorry, I had no right to just put you on the spot like that.” The boy had never actually felt so bad for doing something in his life. “I was trying to help and I screwed up. I’m am truly sorry.” He moves his spear into his inventory and slides his hands in his pockets. He slides his hood over his head and frowns. “We should head back, so no more try to come and kill us.” He moves towards the town, his sadness hidden once again by an emotionless exterior. One he had used a lot since his sister disappeared. It was his favorite face to wear.

Now I feel bad. The boy’s hands move out of his pockets as he looks at the girl. “Listen... the poor fella is harassing the shop owners. He is doing something wrong, while not punishable by death, he did try to attack when we got here.” Shiro feels bad about forcing the girl to do this, but the girl has to fight her own fights. She must think I’m a d*ck, but I made my choice, now I have to stick by it. He tried to make himself seem reasonable in his mind, but his mind can’t hold back the feeling that what he is doing is wrong. The elf picks up his sword and slams it into the girl with the eyepatch. Darn, the elf got a hit. I need to let her fight this, but I can’t help but watch to see if she can handle it. He slips his hands back into his pockets and watches the fight. You can do this Jinx, the whole object of this game is to fight. The girl has to learn to fight even when she doesn’t want to. I did after Misako left.

  21. “Sure let’s go here.” He says, walking into the shop and removing his hood. He had grown up with a teacher mom, so he always took off his hats hoods headdresses inside. It was the proper thing to do. Though he did just cut in front of a lady. “Oh shoot, sorry about that.” He apologizes and moves over to a table. He pulls out the chair in which she’ll sit and moves to his own. If they have good coffee, maybe they’ll have Oreos. It would also fit with the whole panda thing, which still confuses me. He turns to the girl and tilts his head, “You know what I’m going through? I’m sorry to hear that.” He says looking down at the table instead. He always hated emotions, like they were a distraction from the science and facts of the world. Misako changed all that just by being around. “My sister’s name in the game? Sure I know it. It’s Muninn.” He slides his hands in his pockets. Shoot, now she’s gonna think I’m an idiot. He waves the waiter over and looks at the girl. He nods forward as if to say “go ahead.” Then after she orders, the boy looks back at the waiter. “Black coffee and Oreos and milk.” He’s not sure if they have them, but he’d still want them if they didn’t.

  22. The boy’s hands collide with the rock as he backs away from the rock noticing it drop a tenth bellow half. I’m getting closer, not much longer and I’ll be able to look for Misako again. He slips his hood over his head hiding his short black hair. “Maybe she’s back on floor one.” He says, looking down at his black shoes that are torn to crap from walking around the floors nonstop. Maybe she’ll find me when I run my shop. Or if I play my music in public she’ll find me. He slips his hands into his pockets being satisfied with the damage he had done for that attack. I need to get focused again, keep calm Shiro, it’s when you’re call that you do the most Damage. His hands still glowing red to show the damage to his hands. Just like the real world you get used to the tingling. It would normally be bleeding badly, but I guess the game has to be censored. He slips his hands back into his pockets and looks down at his necklace.

The longer I’m here the more it hurts my hands. He lunges forward, moving at incredible speeds and slams his fist into the rock. It’s time I finished this. He backs up and looks at his hand, his knuckles glowing red. It looks like when a player gets hurt by a monster. Like if he were to be fighting a boar and all it did was attack his knuckles. Every now and then a bright red pixel would fall from his hand and disappear into nothing. Just like the blood from real knuckle damage. The stinging is about the same too. This is just like the first time I fought a kid for messing with Misako. Back in fifth grade, he was calling her a nerd. So I took his face. He looks at the red knuckles with a grin on his face.

  24. Shiro picked up his spear once again a mosied on over to the elf, picking it up and stabbing at it once more. The elf pulls up its blade and pushes the spear to its side. What the hell? It’s completely incompetent up until this point, but on its last legs of life it can find the skill to fend off an attack. It pulls up its sword once more and almost pathetically stabs towards the girl. It’s blade never connects and the elf just stands there, his energy drained and his face tired. It looks like he’s ready to die. “Would you just put him out of his misery? It’s pathetic at this point.” He says to the girl in the eyepatch. Why won’t she fight back? It’s her quest, she should do it. He walks back to her and crosses his arms. “I’m not finishing the sorry prick.” He nods towards the elf while looking at the girl. She wants the item, she can kill the damn thing herself. His face serious as he watches to see if the girl will take action or keep cool. Shiro didn’t want the elf to suffer, but he also hates doing other peoples’ jobs for them. If you want something done, do it yourself, it’s why I always protected Misako by myself. His eyes squint at the elf trying to find a reason why he won’t just give up.

  25. Shiro walks through the town on floor one. His eyes pan over the boring crowd of unfamiliar faces that all seemed to look the same to him. He never cared enough to look at the features to tell them apart, so unless they really stuck out he never noticed any difference. This made it more difficult to find his sister, because a girl with white hair and was shorter than him could easily be mistaken for her with this attitude. I need to find her before I try to do too much. Misako was always helpful, and I hope one day she helps me again. Then I can try and keep her safe. He pulls his hood down over his eyes and slides his hands into his pockets. This floor is such a drag, it’s always the same stuff... boars and wolves and weak players. He pulls his hands out and begins to climb up a building. It’ll be easier to find her from up here. Maybe I’ll find someone to go out and hunt with too. But that’s unlikely, wh would want to hunt with such a weak player? He looks around until he sees the face of a player he had noticed a long time ago. Long before he had been separated from his sister. Back when he wasn’t scared to hunt in the fields he had passed a player who for some reason caught his eye. He shouldn’t be all the way down here. His eyes remain locked on the player as he stands on a roof high above the other players.
