  1. Shiro walks into the shop, pulling down his hood and looking to the owner of the shop. It’s so damn vibrant in here. It’s fricking annoying. He walks over and fills out an order, turning to the girl. “I’ll pay when it’s done.” He turns and walks out, disappearing into the crowd, making sure to stay away from the bright colorful shop He now hates. Oh boy. This is gonna suck going back for the item. He slips his hands in his pockets and opens his inventory, I should have the col, but do I need it now? Actually, I do. He nods. It was a pretty good item I asked for, should help me keep from getting hurt. That and a new item to keep me protected should be good.

  2. Shiro charges the wolf, launching his spear forward. He plunges it into the poor creature’s side once more. Though this time the lightning dances around the spear, instead of around the wolf. Sh*t, that was my only chance of not getting hurt by this prick. This wolf is gonna be the death of me. He notices the wolf move and turn, opening it’s mouth with a snarl. The boy quickly raises his arm, catching the monster’s teeth before they could get to a vital areas. Well that’s fantastic. His eyes shift to the girl with the shield. “I can take maybe 4 hits.” The boy’s eyes look at his health bar, now a quarter under maximum. This is definitely gonna be close, if I get hit again, I’m gonna have to run. “So your name is Mace, well Mace, if I get hit again, we may have to get out of here. We’re in over our heads.” He steps, no questioning in his movement, like he was sure he was where he was supposed to be. But he knew deep down that he could very well die in that field. Misako is gonna be pissed. Oh man. Well, I fought bravely. His mind begins to think of his sister. I can’t die. I have to protect Misako. That’s why I’m in this world. His grip around his spear, tightens, then relaxes. Fighting is difficult when too angry, calm down Shiro. He breathes, flipping his spear up and dashing back to stand by Mace.

  3. Shiro grins. I can work with her, she seems like she can handle a fight or two. Also, so far she hasn’t been two loud. He spins his leg and lets go with his front hand, pushing forwards with his back hand. His spear slams into the side of the wolf in front of him. “Be careful with the other one, this one won’t be moving for a bit.” The lightning from the spear climbs off onto the wolf. So, all we have to worry about is the white wolf. Good, that makes this fight a bit more manageable. “You shouldn’t be taking all of the hits by yourself, so I’m gonna try to take a few.” He flips his spear and grins a little more. His hands shift on the spear as he moves back next to her. Come on, you can handle one or two more hits right? If you get hit you’ll be fine. He looks up at his healthbar and he nods. “Hey, My name is Shiro by the way.” He slides behind her and hopes that the wolf won’t get out of the paralysis.

  4. Shiro chuckles. She thinks that even with her incredibly low speed, she can beat me. He spins his spear back and stands at the ready, when suddenly a wolf attacks her. Then her request rings out to the boy, Only Misako can give me orders b*tch. He launches in, almost attacking one but missing ever so slightly. The gray wolf lunges at the girl with the huge shield and slams into her, scratching her narrowly. Just because she’s not my friend doesn’t mean I can just let her die though. It’d Make me the monster they said I am. His spear flips. “I’m sorry, I should’ve attacked just then.” His emotionless face darts around the battlefield, appearing behind the girl and zooming next to her, his spear once again at the ready. “Next time I’ll make sure I get the damn dirty dog.” His body stands at the ready, like he had fought so many times before. I’ve never had to fight an animal, that’s just cruel. There’s no reason to go fighting cats and dogs. But I’ll make an exception here. His eyes lock on the grey wolf. “Can you handle the white one? If so I’ll take the gray one.”  His hand slides up his spear as he rotates his foot.

  5. Complaining about something someone can’t help? What a deplorable person? I know the feeling though, I was always too shy to make friends. He sold under water so only his nose and eyes were above the surface. The worst ones even bullied Muninn, so I beat their face into the ground. Even with the rather unsavory thoughts in his head, he looks rather calm. He scoots back up and looks at the girl. “You are rather nice, and rather pretty, I’m sorry I intruded on your alone time.” He apologizes and sinks downs back to where he was before, his eyes reveal his guilt. I’m such a prick, she was peaceful, but I came and ruined it. Why is she so nice to me? I’ve done nothingness but ruin her relaxation. He slides his hands into his pockets on his shorts under the water. He avoids eye contact with the girl, but not to show distrust, to show nervousness. As he is very nervous.

    @Froppy

  6. Another burst of speed hits the boy as he stops, a good 10 feet from the girl. “What the hell do you want?” He asks, his voice plain and almost bored of everything. If she’s here to fight, I’m not holding back. Maybe she knows where that damn dagger user is. He flips out his golden spear in a storm of gold and lightning. “Do you know any orange dagger users? One with a dagger that has Paralyze?” His face blank but his voice filled with anger. He flips his spear up and point the elegant weapon at the girl with one hand. If she does know where he is, I’m gonna have to beat the answers out of her, which will be fun, but with that shield, difficult. I love a challenge though. “I don’t want to fight, especially not a stubborn wall like yourself. But, if you don’t tell me, or if you don’t let me go, I’m out of here.” His constitution unwavering, and his spear staying straight and steady. It was obviously true what he said, and he was obviously not scared to fight.

    @Mace

  7. Huginn stabs the ground between the hammer and the boy, levering it off of his shoulder. “I used my spear to stop so I didn’t hit you, now. Move, before I make you move.” He stands up, turning on his heel and walks away from the girl who thought herself intimidating. God, people like her piss me off. Just because I was near you doesn’t mean I want anything from you. He walks, keeping his hood up as well as his head on a swivel. She could come back and try to take the answers forcibly. He turns around trying to find his original path, hoping she was gone but not sure whether or not she was he prepared for a shouting match. Like a said, a drag. I hope she isn’t there because if she is we might have ourselves a duel coming. He pulls out his spear and uses it to push himself forward, like as a launch into incredible speed. His motion indiscernible to the naked eye. As he shoots across the area, his eyes scan his surroundings for an escape if he needed one again.

    @Mace

  8. A boy comes rocketing through the field, trying to test the limits of his speed. As he turns, he sees a lady standing there and his spear collides with the ground, inches in front of her feet. The awkward stop hurt the boys feet so running away wasn’t his first option, he just hoped she didn’t hear the thud of the spear slamming into the ground, or the clang of him colliding with his spear or the constant buzz of lightning dancing around his elegant golden spear. He winces, knowing he has officially been caught. This is gonna be the worst, she looks like she’s gonna be annoying. That shield looks like it’s gonna hold her back though, so if I run, I might be able to get away. He pushes, his ankle rolling as he grabs his spear and falls, flipping to his back and staring at the sky. His blank stare focused on the blue and white above him. Yeah, this is 100% gonna be a drag. I should’ve just apologized and left. His ankle glows red slightly to signify his hurting.

    @Mace

  9. Shiro looks at the girl and smiles more naturally, “I appreciate the offer, but you’re too pre...” he stops himself with red on his face. It was obvious he was about to compliment her. Why the hell did I almost say that? Now I’m gonna look like an idiot who doesn’t finish their thoughts. He looks back at her. He begins to stare off into space as he thinks of something to say next when suddenly his mouth begins to move on its own. “I come here to play where no one can bother me, but was pleasantly surprised today. You don’t seem like a bad person.” He says, signifying that his first mental barrier was down and he could openly talk to her. He had three, and they are all difficult to break. The first is the communication wall, where he can communicate his thoughts properly with someone. Now he could tell her whatever she wanted to hear.

    @Froppy

  10. Huginn dropped from the roof and began to make his way to the only player he had ever recognized in the game. The crowd of faceless blobs floated by as he progressed through the sea. As he gets close he reaches out a hand and taps him on the shoulder. “Excuse me, but you look familiar...” He struggles to say, but it makes it’s way out. Shoot, abort, abort. This is gonna be awkward if it isn’t him. What am I gonna say if it isn’t “sorry wrong number?” I’m screwed. He stands and looks at the man. His head tilts as he looks at him. “I’m sorry, but I wanted to ask for help.” He asks, no emotion in his eyes as he analyzes the man in front of him. His eyes move around his face as Huginn begins to grow uncomfortable. Shoot, is he sad? This is unfortunate, but it’s way too late to bail. He keeps his hands in his pockets and just stands there staying still.

    @Stryder

  11. “It was an original.” He perked up, excited to talk about his music. It wasn’t something everyone liked. Songs that were incredibly slow, and sound sad as they are played. I literally played from the heart and got a decent reaction, I guess not everyone is a prick. He begins to look a lot less tense and it was almost obvious how drastic the change was. “The best I can play is classic music, and maybe some new music, but it’s not important.” He says, sinking down into the water. He wasn’t entirely sure whether or not he could trust her, after all, the guys who attacked him seemed nice before they almost killed him. His face is a little red because he’s shirtless in front of a girl for the first time in his life, and his voice sounds a little nervous as he speaks. He almost seems like this is his first time talking to a girl. Talking to girls... much harder than talking to guys. The two or on entirely different levels. He looks at the girl and shoots her a forced smile.

    @Froppy

  12. A voice rings out and Huginn jumps a little. He looks around, when his eyes land on a girl in the water. He looks at his violin and thinks of a quick answer to the question. “I did, I came here to relax.” He says very nervously, sitting down and closing his eyes. I can’t believe I didn’t see that coming, I guess I’m checking way too lazily now. Damn, I need to focus on the world around me now, not what I plan to do. He looks at her. “So what’s your name? Mine’s Shiro.” He says, much more calmly now. His attire made it obvious he doesn’t like to be around too many people, and it was generally true, but for some reason people always show up the one time you don’t want them to. He looks around for a quick escape but sees none as he sits on the ground. Might as well embrace the hot springs. But what if she sees me? I’d better do this quickly. The only thing anyone sees is a splash, then a boy sitting in a separate body of water. His hoodie and grey shirt underneath now gone, revealing just how hard he trained everyday to protect his sister. But the short black hair on his head, usually a bit messy, was now wet down so he looked different. It wasn’t super obvious that he was a little nervous, but if you looked, you could see he’s on edge.

    @Froppy

  13. Shiro smiles as he continues to play the song. The bow moves at the same rhythm and tempo, but it sounds rather sharp now. He begins to speed up as he reaches the climax of the piece. But the notes become drawn out and higher, but slower. When it reaches almost a dead silent, a loud thud rings out as the bandit clips a box on the way to attack the girl. His music, as if planned out before hand, starts again, slowly and calmly. It carries a weight, like a window into the boy's soul. His eyes remained shut as he played and danced. My shock factor is gone, but I can still try to hold the tune for the rest of the fight, maybe use the music to warn her of incoming attacks. That would be cool to be entirely honest, but I'm not that good. His smile appears genuine, for the first time ever. Like he was content with where he was and his music had the same tone.

  14. “It’s not that I’m gonna forget about it. It’s that I’m to weak to do a damn thing about it.” He says rather callously. “They threatened to do stuff to my sister. I mean unless you’re ready to die, there are some things you just shouldn’t say.” Shiro turns and walks out, as quietly as possible, trying to make sure that the orange player’s who attacked him weren’t looking for him. The coast is clear I guess. Unless they are ninjas. He lets out a small chuckle. No one had ever heard the boy’s laugh except his immediate family, and he intended to keep it that way for a while. His blank stare pierced through the woods as he snuck around trying to make his way back to the town. A problem arose when they were within a hundred meters of the town, there was no cover to hide behind, so the boy just started walking. I probably could’ve taken them on if the dagger guy hadn’t been there, so chances are I’ll be fine. He makes his way into the town and avoids all of the faces around him, hiding from every last one. I can’t risk them seeing me, soI have to keep going. “So Kooh, you know why I’m here, why are you?” He asks, looking to the girl who was the same height as him, which made him feel short. “If I’m allowed to ask.” He walks up on the teleporter and awaits an answer.

    @Kooh

  15. Shiro lays there lookin at the sky when a brown haired player kneels down and starts checking for injuries. Shiro’s face turned a bright red, as physical contact was not something he saw as a thing you can just do. His body tenses up and she backs away, giving him an apology and a gentle smile. A smile he had seen a few times on his sister. “No worries ma’am, I’m sure it’s just a habit.” He gives a smile back when suddenly a girl come running up and hugging the woman who had broken Shiro’s first shell. The sheer volume of the obviously British girl’s voice took the rubble from the shield Huginn had built around his own little world and put them all in the right place. He was walled off again. With the loud child there, Huginn’s wall may be much harder to break then before. His eyes dart, looking for a place to disappear to and it showed how much he wanted to get out of this situation, but his eyes landed on Kataware with a look. The kind that had “help me” written all over it. The shy genius was a rambling mess around big crowds of people and didn’t want to be a burden on the conversation.

    @Kataware @Kirbs @Spencer

  16. Shiro makes his way to the 21st floor to go into the field and practice music. It was one of the few places he found almost no one goes. He found his way to the hot springs and pulls out his violin. This seems quiet enough, might as well practice here. There doesn’t appear to be anyone around so playing a full song unheard should be easier than usual. He pulls his violin to his chin and smiles as he drags the bow across the strings. A soft hiss comes from the strings as he plays, the tune a few keys shy of a sad song. The strings release a sound almost like they were made to keep the boy on his toes but calm enough to think about every move before it happens. Like playing chess, every move in a song should set up the next, the transition should be seamless, and the ride should be smooth. The sharp transitions are for the more exciting pieces, but this piece is just for me. He looks down to where his necklace used to hang and frowns, the song slows, and comes to a stop as he just looks at the ground. I should keep practicing, I’ll find the necklace later. He pulls his violin to the same spot and changes his posture, ready to play, but just staring off into space.

    @Froppy

  17. Shiro looked on as the battle continued. Come on Shiro, you can do this. You have to help. But what if I get killed? Misako will be all alone. Damn it Shiro, Misako doesn’t need your help, she’s too strong. He shakes his head as he was out of it. He continues to rummage through their stuff and chuckles upon finding a piece of bread. These idiots stole bread. Of all the things you could attack players and steal it’s bread. He begins to laugh, as the stress from before disappears and he calms down. He pulls out his violin and turns to face the crowd who was currently fighting. He knew who he wanted to help, but even with her help, he couldn’t do much to either of them. He’d just be a risk to the both of them. He begins to pull the bow across the strings and closes his eyes as he plays. The song is a soft tune, the bow drawn across carefully to make sure none of the sharp sounds pierce the fabric of Thebes carefully woven piece. As he plays he speeds up, even plucking some of the strings to add a hint of urgency to his sound. The endless stream of notes fill the camp in an attempt to calm the people around him and it begins to work, or at least, help the girl in some way. The bandits, caught off guard by an edgy kid behind them playing violin in the heat of battle get distracted and time their attacks wrong, actually crossing blades in the process. The clang timed perfectly as Shiro was watching the fight, so he slowed to almost a stop for the clash, and the moment the swords collision rang true picked back up where he left off. Like a symbol in a drum piece. All he waited for was the girl’s attack and a new reason to play.

  18. Shiro went to attack but couldn’t find it within himself to run forward. His legs just wouldn’t move. This was the first time ever that he froze up like this. He was usually so calm and collected, never an ounce of panic in his eyes. He closes his eyes, and starts to imagine the song his sister showed him playing. Shiro, you have to do this, she can’t just take all of these hits, that’s ludicrous. Why the hell aren’t you moving legs? One foot in front of the other, let’s go. His legs refuse to move as he sits and focuses. Then a clash brings him back to the real world. A blade lands in Neopolitan, the girl accompanying the boy on his quest. Then two more collide with her, one in her side, the other in her face. Now that’s just impolite. He runs over and stabs one of his spears into the ground, launching himself over the crowd and landing on the other side, trying to see what he could find to return the people the bandits had stolen from.

  19. Shiro draws his spear as a storm of lightning swirls around him, revealing him to the four bandits nearby. So, I was right. This IS gonna be a drag. He looks over at the girl with the parasol who was apparently getting ready to fight. His necklace sways as the boy readies up, pointing his spear at the bandit he had followed. “Protect me now.” He says, grabbing the necklace in one hand as tightly as the game would allow him. The rock lands on the ground after hitting him, and Shiro dashes across the path way and ends up behind one of the bandits. The enemies in this game are far too predictable. This makes the combat way too easy. He grins a little, still hiding that he’s having fun, but not as well as before. Ya know, I’m damn glad Misako isn’t here right now. Dad would kill me if he found out I took this quest. He spins the spear around in an incredible display of lightning and gold as he twirls the weapon around. His blade points towards the crowd around them, his eyes glancing every bandit up and down. He begins to formulate a plan to take care of one of the bandits to at least try to pull his weight around this game. I can’t let her do all of the work. It’ll be too embarrassing, cause I can’t even protect Misako, how am I supposed to be a good big brother. He frowns, lookin at the one he can at least try to take on.

  20. Shiro hid behind the boxes when the bandit began to move again. Sh*t, I thought this was gonna be easier. He ducked down, trying to hide from the man. He looks around and sees his brightly dressed partner in crime, and smiles, hiding it from the girl. I bet she knows what she’s doing, I should let her be, I don’t know what triggers the detection in this game. It could be anything to be entirely fair. He begins to get to a better spot as the bandit had moved out of his sight, and he moves quickly. As he dashed across the trail cut out for the bandits to easily maneuver through the camp, he rolls his ankle and slams into a crate. “Motherf*cker.” He mumbles under his breath as he quickly dashes around the corner. He hears the bandit stop, and turn around. The dirt crunches beneath the enemy’s feet as he approaches the corner the boy was hiding behind. He looks over to the silent girl with a blank stare as he motions towards the guy he was trailing. Please help me, this can’t be how I die. He looks down and grabs his necklace like a ritual, as the man turns the corner and sees a boy dressed in all black, balled up holding a necklace with his eyes closed.

  21. Huginn walked on the fourth floor, following the usual pattern. The floors bright yet cool colors helped keep the boy calm, something you’d never guess from seeing his outfit and hearing him talk. As he walks though, some snow falls and lands on his head. What the hell? Is someone climbing a tree? He looks up and sure enough, sees a player and what appears to be a penguin playing in the snow filled plant. I hope they stay careful. He walks and turns, walking backwards. His leg catches a rock and he falls backwards, the snow letting out a loud crunch as he collides with the ground. “Well I guess I deserved that for getting distracted.” He just stares up at the sky and watches it intently. His face reads no emotion as his eyes stare off into the space in front of him. Today’s gonna be like that isn’t it. Damn it. He looks up and watches the player have fun with his pet. Muninn and I used to have fun like that. God I wish she was here, I’d be able to approach the players around me way easier. It’s a darn shame I guess. He lacked the energy to do anything about it.

  22. Huginn tilts his head, trying to think back to the morning. “I ran into the sword user this morning. But it was nothing serious, he just asked where the nearest pond was.” He looks down at the ground. He removes his favorite black sweatshirt and reveals a gray shirt underneath. The red marks still glowing, but shrinking slowly as he waits. “Thank you for saving me, but I have to go get the necklace.” He stands up and begins to walk away. “Actually, let’s get down to why I was in the field. I was gonna head up to floor 3 and fight those Minotaur, you’re welcome to follow if you want.” He says, his face emotionless once again. It was a common face for the boy and rarely did he lose his cool like he did just not too long ago, but when he does it’s hard to undo. “My name is Shiro. Thank you for saving me ma’am.” He tilts his head forward out of courtesy. Come on, please agree to come with me, I’m gonna need your help and you know it. It’ll be easy for you, the information I gathered said it’s weaker than those three guys, and I held my own. You’re stronger than me by a long shot. He looks at her with a hint of curiosity and tilts his head, “We going on an adventure or what?” He asks.

  23. Shiro saw the two men disappear before his very eyes. “What the hell?” He murmurs. He was within inches of his life and he knew. That’s why he was so thankful for the person who saved him. “Who is that? Is that you Misako?” He asks in a panicked manner. Please don’t be Misako, she can’t see me like this. He pushes his legs into the dirt and forces himself in the direction of the pulling at his side. “Be careful there’s two of them.” He tries to make the saving worth it. He couldn’t focus on much. The usually genius boy was forced back into the immature husk of a boy who can’t hold a conversation with anyone smarter than him. His body covered in a bright red glow usually associated with damage. “Thank you for stepping in, I’m just gonna take a nap.” He closes his barely opened eyes for a few seconds then shoots up into a sitting position.

    “The necklace. Where is it?” He asks worriedly. His eyes dart around as he can’t see anything recognizable and he looks over, seeing a girl he doesn’t recognize either. He backs up like a scared animal. His back hits a tree and he keeps his gaze on the girl. “Who are you?” He asks. He had just woken up in an area he doesn’t even remember and the rather troublesome situation situation from before had apparently resolved itself. “Are you the one who saved me?” He asks, quickly looking her up and down. I don’t think so, though she does look much stronger than me, but that doesn’t mean much.

  24. Shiro’s hand reaches down, his true intention hidden by the relaxed look on his face. “Give it back.” Shiro says. His hand grabs his spear and stabs it through the axe wielder’s hand. The boy pulls it down and pins the man’s arm into the ground, twisted around. Shiro, then turns and catches the knife user’s arm and flips him over his shoulder, but not without taking some damage. The sword user had slashed a large cut all the way down his back and Shiro lets out a grunt. “You idiot, you should’ve stayed down. Now we have to kill you.” Shiro snarls at the sword user as he lets out the sentence. Why the hell would I have stayed down? It’s not like you were particularly intimidating. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised to hear you’re about the same level as me. Shiro flips over the swordsman’s next attack, pulling the spear out of the man’s hand and spinning it up to point it at the sword user.

    That’s when Shiro feels the dagger in his side. A whisper in his ear reveals the other player standing next to him. “You know, we could’ve had fun with you too.” Shiro feels a tingling move through his entire body as lightning moves around the blade of the man’s dagger. “Back off, I don’t want any one to get hurt.” He notices the necklace on the ground next to the man’s hand, the dagger user picks it up and begins to walk away. “Have fun with my lackeys.” He says, walking out of the clearing leaving only two orange players. Both of the Orange players stand and walk towards Shiro. His gray eyes lock on the axe wielder as he was the one who initially took the necklace. The flat of an axe blade collided with his face as he is thrown across the field. But it was just then that Shiro’s paralysis broke. “Kill me if you want to live, cause if you don’t I’m coming after all of you and only one of us survives that.” He grins a little, obviously low on health. As the axe reaches the crest of the swing, Shiro pulls his spear up to cross the blade when it reaches him.

  25. Shiro walks through the field, a few hours after losing his sister. He was searching for her but couldn’t manage to find her or even get a trail. He walks through a small gap in some trees and sees three players, all with orange cursors. “Well if it isn’t Emo McDuck.” Shiro looks around for a way to escape, but they had closed him in by then. “Listen, I don’t want any trouble and you guys are being extremely annoying right now.” He says. His face remains perfectly still as he examines the three players in front of him. One with a dagger, he was rather slender yet short, and another with a sword and shield. The sword and shield user was taller than the other two but was still rather weak looking. Then it came to the axe wielded. He was about the same height as the boy in all black but was much more built. “What do you plan to do about it?” The axe wielded asks. Shiro looks at him with intensity and rage in his eyes. “I’m gonna let you be, now you should do the same to me.”

    The sword user looks at Shiro, “Don’t you have a sister?” He makes the mistake of asking. “What’s it to ya?” Shiro returns, his words filled with a bite. “You leave her out of this. You’ll regret it if you don’t.” His angry words sound like they’re coming from someone else, for the rage is apparent in his voice but not his face. “I say we take his gear, including the clothes off his back and do the same with his sister. Except we’ll have a little more...” The Dagger user and sword user both move in as the dagger user speaks. He gets cut off by the butt of a spear hitting him in the face. The sword user gets thrown to the side by the blunt end of the spear as well. “I said leave her out of this.” He snarls. His face shows rage but his voice remains calm. “You little snake.” The block of a man slams the blade of his axe into Shiro, launching him back a good 3 yards. “We were making a little tease, but now you’ve gone and made it real.” He growls, his voice deep and raspy like a villain from a movie. Shiro coughs and smiles. “I still did a number on your flimsy buddies.” The red mark on his stomach covering the face of his stomach. The meat head with an axe reaches down and takes the boy’s necklace that holds a white bird on the chain. “I’ll make sure to give this to her.” He smiles, towering over the player who was no shorter than him a few minutes ago.
