  1. Huginn smiles as Felli floats back onto his spear and the blade glows green. It starts to twirl quickly around his body and the but of the spear hits the ground as he lifts his feet off of it. The momentum manages to push him up and forward, and his spear spins once more before chopping a piece of the monster off. The motion would appear smooth from a distance, but Huginn had fought the system, and as such he sloppily lopped off a tiny vine and didn’t even notice he had paralyzed it again.

    Mishiro’s words carry over and fill his mind. He was getting annoyed by everyone acting like they know how to fight better than him. Everyone fights differently. That’s what I hate about the system. That’s what I hate about people who think a simple ‘you’re doing it wrong’ is a form of commentary. Felli floats off of his spear and over towards Mishiro. She dances around, and Huginn smiles at the feisty familiar getting along with his favorite person (although he still wouldn’t admit it to anyone but that purple haired weirdo) around.

    ”Okay Felli, you can go hang with your friend.” He smiles softly at the two, and grips his spear, flipping it up into a battle ready stance once more.

  2. Yet again Felli hadn’t found anything, so Shiro sighs and pulls his familiar up towards him. Then the woman says those words. His face turns bright red and he buries it in his hands, a classic anime girl reaction but there’s nothing he can do about it. What does she know? Oh right... she knows Mishiro. He looks up at her, his face still red and he looks her in the eyes. “You know we still have to craft the potion right?” He asks, making she doesn’t try to just leave him after the fifth material is found. “Plus, you’ve still got a lot to tell me about. How to talk to girls, how to talk to girls I like, and how to get them to like me.” He says, being a little more assertive than before.

    ”Besides, you want the SP don’t you?” He asks, turning back to the familiar and the grass. He had already learned so much and now he wanted to learn more.

  3. Huginn had stopped in a tavern to get a bite to eat when suddenly some boys had made a commotion when they messed with a lady. Huginn tried to keep his head down and avoid the confrontation, until Felli had flown up and floated next to the lady. He recognized her, but couldn’t remember why he does. Fine, I guess. I spoil you Felli. The boy walks over and grabs the pint they placed in front of the girl and downs it. He sighs and hides the fact that the drink tastes like watered down urine. “More please.” He sets the mug down, looking at the girl and his familiar.

    Blending in was easy, all he had to do was be quiet and keep his head down, that’s how you get through life with no excitement. The hard part was sticking out, and that was his goal right now. When he had asked for a drink, his voice was quiet and scared, his face had the same message on it. You could tell he didn’t want to be doing this. His hood was up, and his familiar floated down in front of the lady. With Felli here, distracting them won’t be easy, especially with her trying to stay by that lady’s side. He sits down and picks up the mug, downing it again. “I don’t see why you guys like this stuff. The appeal in the real world is that it gets you drunk and then it doesn’t taste so bad.” He says, his face deadpan now.

  4. She had decided to go, and he was already tired so he really had no choice but to get up. Falling asleep in a public area like this is stupid, even if it’s in a safe zone. He had hunted all day like a fool once again. Something about the disparity between him and the people who were clearing the floors made him want to try harder, but his lethargic attitude kept him from actually making much progress. “Yes, I’m leaving as well.” He stands up and follows her out of the café, smiling at the panda. The sight of an animal always made the boy smile, especially pandas. They were his favorite animal back home and they reminded him of a better time.

    Once outside, she had explained that she will be handing over the finished product the next day, and then she thanked him for the day. He pulls back and puts his hands up, shaking them back at forth in an “I’m innocent” manner. “No, thank you. It really means a lot that you’re helping me try and find my sister.” He closes his eyes and drops his hands, smiling warmly as they move into his pockets. “Not like I’m much fun anyways.” He says quietly to himself. Of course, his tone was always that of a spineless 16 year old boy, and incredibly quiet so if she was used to talking to him, she could’ve heard him. His smile disappears and he looks back into the shop. “I should really head out.” He says, looking at the way the players inside were interacting with each other so easily, and beginning to wonder if he would ever have friends like that.

    Once they had said their goodbyes, the boy would walk away, pulling his hood up and still struggling to fight the smile on his face.

    @Mishiro

  5. Shiro was getting annoyed, this fight was taking quite a while and a lot of energy out of him. His spear spun around and gained momentum, and the boy begins to push himself. The heavy spear begins spinning faster, and faster and faster, until it looked like a solid gold disk with lightning dancing on it. The anger in his eyes was misplaced, he had no hatred for this creature in front of him, no disdain. Hell, most would say he was impartial. The only reason he wanted to kill this thing was to practice using his weapon.

    While the golden spear spins, the boys arm shifts, moving in front of him so the head of the spear moves across the front of the Flytrap, the lightning and blue fire moving into the wounds and stopping the monster in its tracks. Why am I so angry? What is going on? It’s not like she’s mine or anything, not by any definition of the word. Some wouldn’t even call us friends. She’s a means to an end, helping me find my sister. His frustration seemed to follow the same path as the lightning, seeking refuge in his weapon and escaping into the monster. “Holy crap, Felli. Way to go helling me out there.” He says, looking at the monster’s HP dropping a decent amount.

    The small blue flame detaches itself from the weapon, floating down next to Shiro’s ear and hovering there. What are you doing Felli? Its blue glow quarrels with the black of his jacket, his hood hiding his face from the other players. “Get back on my spear Felli.” His command seems more like a request however, as he cares to much for his familiar to get mad at her for being herself. After all, she was distracting him from the pain he had felt after watching the two. Some of him wanted to leave this fight, some of him wanted to kill Ares. Horrified at the thought, he gripped his spear and Felli dropped back onto the head.

  6. Shiro’s spear begins to glow once more a green tint. The spear spins a little as his body does, but not in tandem, the spear spins much faster than the boys and eventually, the blade comes spinning upwards diagonally, the monster moving out of its way before his spear gets to it. Huginn’s eyes stay on it as its vines begin to move, they seem to be being pulled out so Huginn jumped up and to the right, getting a bit worried about doing this so often. If I jump to much I’ll end up over by th-

    His mind goes blank as he sees her reaching out and their arms connecting. Are they holding hands? If his heart had sunken any lower it’d be on the ground, Her hand was obviously very close to his. His eyes just stare at the connection and his heart hangs out in his stomach, having almost stopped. Suddenly her hand comes up revealing a blue gleam and Huginn turns around, not worried about anything else but the monster anymore. He legs spread out, his eyes narrow and his spear across his back being held by both hands. It was an uncommon pose, but he knew what he was doing enough to get to where the system would take over. His heart had gone cold for now. I have no reason to he here. I should just leave. Why am I still here? Fine, once this monster’s dead I’m out. This is obviously a moment for them. His body remained perfectly still, his mind trapped in thought.

  7. Huginn had helped someone today, but why did he feel like he didn’t do anything? Why did it hurt so bad when her words remained so filled with pain? He couldn’t think, he couldn’t do the one thing he’s good at and it looked like all these helpful people had done the job he came to do. Wiping his tears and still not looking back at her, he lets out a small voice. “I’m glad you’re not dead. If you ever want to hang out again, send me a message.” He said. The boy turns around, his eyes a little red but the tears gone at least. His familiar, the small blue will-o-wisp floated gently over to the other players, though it lingered by ghost. Partly because it was scared of the big man and partly because it felt her pain. “Her name is Felicity, Felli for short.” He walks up to her, but keeping his distance so as to not feel like he needed to hug her. “For a while she was the only thing I had, and she brought me so much joy, so her name fits.” He smiles at the small blue light. The small boy had a small voice to match, and would never be anything compared to the mighty god near him, but he stood there nonetheless. Part of him felt like he owed her, the other part knowing damn well he’d miss her. All around being happy she’s still here.

    @Ghost

  8. Shiro’s eyes moved down towards the ground. He knew what he liked to talk about, but he never asked what she liked to talk about. It was an awkward question, why would he ask something like that? “How do you start a conversation with someone?” The generally unusual question would probably sound right at home coming from his mouth. I guess that’s one skill I just never picked up. Misako was great at starting conversations, she loved talking to people all the time. He looks at the pink haired girl and tilts his head. “This is gonna take a lot of work.” He says bluntly, despite trashing on himself. I’m guessing she’s gonna have her work cut out for her. “Actually wait. I know I’m bad with people, but if I suddenly start acting different won’t that be weird?” He realizes she might notice if he suddenly became a more social person. Maybe she would like it, but also she might not. His hands slip into his pockets almost instinctively, he even forgets to look around for a material as he gets lost in thought. His familiar danced in front of the purple haired girl, it’s movement slow but friendly, like an apology for acting so rashly before. It floats up above her head and forms into a ring, like a halo of blue flames.

  9. Her words, every one of them, were on Huginn’s mind. The reason why is clear now, but the way to stop it just grew more distant from the boy. It appeared everyone made a different choice on how to try and stop her, and they all worked a little bit. “Don’t say that. You’re not a parasite. You’re not stupid, cowardly or weak. Even if you were this isn’t how you fix that. This is how you prove the world right.” He had pushed himself up and walks up to her. “This world is rough for all of us, but not all of us are dealt the same cards. We just gotta play what we have and hope for the best. You take your life and we all lose a card, we all lose someone. I like to consider you my first friend, whether I’m someone to you or not isn’t important, what is important is that you said I you didn’t think I’d care. Well I do. So does everyone here.” He turns around and steps away, knowing he is probably just making things worse. His familiar, Felli, comes in and floats by his shoulder. Huginn smiles at the ball of blue light, tears still rolling down his face. “Everyone has a place in the world. Finding it is the hard part.” He says, not looking back at her. “Just please, don’t jump.” He says, wiping his tears away.

    @Ghost

  10. Huginn received a message from someone he hadn’t spoken too in a long time. Ghost? Wow, I can’t remember... the subject line send a spark of pain into his chest. Of course he barely knew her, but for someone to take their own life and tell everyone like this hurt Shiro. He frantically went through the second floor and around the edge of the second floor as fast as he possibly could. His eyes landed on so many people jumping off the edge, walking only to find this one person, every person jumping breaking his heart just a little bit.

    By the time Huginn had reached the girl on the ledge his eyes were filled with tears. The little light hidden behind the sun sent out starbursts and the water in his eyes distorting his view just slightly. “DON’T DO IT!” His voice quakes as he shouts towards the girl, yet it retained it’s volume and power. The usually timid boy sounded angry and pained, but not aggressive. “Listen, I know how painful this world can be. I know how hard it is thinking you’re alone, and I know it’s cliche, but you’re not alone. Even up there on the ledge you’re not alone. I saw upwards of five people end their lives as I was looking for you. Please, don’t do this.” He cant help but drop to his knees and put his hands together. “I’ve found myself up there before, I was too scared to take the jump. If you’re not then you would’ve done it already. I had no one here to come and stop me, please, don’t make my survival for nothing.” He presses his forehead to the ground. “Please don’t do this.” He cries, hoping his words will at least make her rethink this decision.

    @Ghost

  11. Shiro’s eyes narrow, he was being yelled at again. This had become a regular occurrence in the real world, and he was finally getting used to the way this game works, and how quiet it was when you are alone. I did something wrong, I should apologize. “Sorry.” His generally expressionless face almost looks pained. Being yelled at always made Shiro feel very bad, especially when he knew exactly what he did wrong. Her voice fills the field as the monster had already died and the other was on the other side of the maze, he couldn’t help but want to run away. Her words cutting him like a knife, he turns away from her and begins to walk towards the maze.

    Once inside the maze, Shiro would put his hand out and set it gently on the wall, dragging it as he walks through the passage way and into the maze. “I didn’t mean any disrespect ma’am.” His quiet words echo through the chamber and call back to him. [censored], what if the other Minotaur heard that? He keeps ready for an attack at all times, still following the path he had set for himself.

    @Kooh

  12. The girl’s hand lands on his shoulder and Shiro’s face turns a bright red. He can’t help but turn away and hide his face. This is nothing. He turns away from her and nods, walking back towards the shop that offered the quest. He walks into the shop and nods to the shop owner. “It’s done.” He says to the shop owner. “Thank you, that elf was keeping me from getting materials.” He smiles at the boy and points to a bone armor and a leather jacket. “Choose one of those and that should about even us up.” He slides his hands out of his pockets as Felli floats over towards the leather Jacket. Huginn’s hands grab it and slide it on, a black trench coat with white trim drapes over his shoulders. His face shifts into a smile as he walks out of the shop, Felli floating over top of his shoulder.

  13. Huginn’s eyes watch as the woman knock the Monster off of its feet. She didn’t look thankful by any means, instead picking a look of confusion and frustration. I know that look all too well. I guess I’m in Misako’s shoes now. Whatever, it might be nice to act recklessly. He spins his spear around, the gold catching the light and holding it like it was glowing, the boy’s foot lifts up for a second and throws itself out to the side as he spins his weapon, throwing him off balance just enough to put his weight behind a slash with the blade of his spear. The lightning dancing around his spear shuffled up to the Minotaur during the gruesome cut and its eyes fixate on the boy. “I guess I should’ve stayed back. That was one of my best attacks.” His hand stops the spear as it comes back around towards him.

    His emotionless face exhales heavily like a scoff. Pathetic. I’m pathetic. I could’ve just gone out and grabbed the jewel. I could’ve possibly been back by now, but I had to be all macho and try to save the girl. Looks like the girl will be the one saving me. His eyes shift towards the blonde girl as he tilts his head. “I’m just in your way aren’t I?” He slams his spear into the ground, noticing the Minotaur has stopped moving and had golden sparks of electricity in his wound. Hands in his pockets and stance relaxed, the boy looked like a moody teenager, except for in his face. His face held no expression even still, knowing he could easily be slain by the monster standing in front of him.

  14. The boy’s spear spun around leaving a sky blue flame behind in a comet tail-esque path. His spear glows green under the blue flame as he pointed it at the nearest plant. “Got it.” He flips his hand and pushes the spear forwards, but the boy’s hand locks up, his spear stopping a few centimeters short of the vines carrying the big stupid plant’s head. Well that’s unfortunate. I need to step it up. He pushes his black boot into the ground, moving around the flytrap looking creature. Just like the way I fought those boys on the playground. Nothing more than a prick acting bigger than he is. His eyes move back towards the boy in a mask standing next to the girl. His chest felt tight, like he was watching his dad leave for the night, his focus was grabbed by the two. Pain filled his heart as he watched her talk to the man so naturally, leaving him to fight like he wasn’t actually there. That mixed with the memory of his father leaving to a night of being shot at by people with no souls, yanked at his tear ducts, pulling open the gates and letting a few tears out. The monster’s vine swipes across horizontally, Huginn managing to jump back in time. His hand comes up and wipes his eye after he had dodged such an attack.

  15. Shiro looks at the girl with red hair and nods. “I like the second floor, but that’s more for what happened on it not so much about the floor itself.” He begins to think more and opens his mouth, “Pure aesthetics wise, the fourth floor is my favorite.” His focus shifts out into the field as he looks at the plants and other foliage on the ground, not looking back to Kirbs for the remainder of the walk. “Okay.” He says frankly in response to the girl, his feet digging into the dirt as he walks. The boy was feeling the conversation winding down, so he accepted the death of it for good. Maybe he could even kill it off himself. “It’s been fun.” His emotions hidden well under a shroud of teenage angst, so when he turned to her and shot her a weak smile it probably looked funny. The boy’s familiar floated towards him as the lights of town came into view.

    @Kirbs

  16. He smiles so quickly you’d think the question was tickling his ears. The thought of walking with her for a while made him happy, happier than the thought of interacting with anyone else ever had. He thinks for a moment and then decides on the answer. “I don’t really have a preference, I’ve never gone on a walk solely for the sake of walking.” He says. The smiles slowly fading now that he realized that probably wasn’t a satisfactory answer. But it was too late to change it now, without seeming rude at least. Besides, he couldn’t think of a better way to describe it.

    He leans forwards in his chair, hovering above the table before he realizes he forgot to get a drink. “Shoot, I didn’t ask for a drink.” He says, trying to keep quiet about it. Looking at Mishiro, then shifting his gaze towards the waiter, he starts to think about whether or not he has time to drink something or not.

    @Mishiro

  17. As quickly as Shiro lit up his flames die down. Of course, it helps that he was put in his place by the woman in front of him. His eyes planted in the ground like the grass beneath his feet, he simply says, “Sorry.” His familiar floats back towards him slowly and hovers over his shoulder once again. His eyes move up towards the girl, and his expression had returned to the emotionless stare he had when he first met her. “You said you want to help, and if you’d still like to I’d appreciate it. Though I’d understand if you don’t.” How could he call her sinister then ask her for help? It was selfish, and he hated it. She did nothing wrong, so why did I say that? I guess these are the things we need to ask ourselves sometimes. His eyes move off of the lady and across the field. Nothing out of the ordinary here either. Finding materials wasn’t any easier with the familiar everyone said would help him find materials anyways, so really he kept Felli as an excuse to talk to Mishiro. “There’s 10,000 players in this game, the number of people named Shiro whether it be real name or username is probably higher than most would think. How was I supposed to draw the connection between the two? And I wouldn’t expect her to talk about a random person like myself, so of course you couldn’t know that way.” He begins to get fired up a little again, calming himself down quicker this time. “The fact that you saw us at the Christmas party makes it a fact. You knew she was happy...” he stops speaking for a moment, looks at the ground and then back at Arabelle, “Did she really look that happy to be with me?” He asks in disbelief. “Why would anyone be happy spending time with me?” He mumbles, trying to keep her from figuring out how he thinks of himself. (Though it’s not like she didn’t already know.) He starts walking towards her and looks her in the eyes. “Look, like I said, I’m sorry I reacted in such a rude way. But as I also said, I’d like some help, I wanna talk to her more.” His expression serious as a kid trying to get the doughnuts from off the top of the fridge.

  18. Shiro’s spear materialized out of thin air, the golden spectacle with lightning dancing around it spinning with the bottom landing on the ground between Ares and himself, “Then let’s get this done.” His familiar having floated herself back over to the boy he began scanning the area. What does he mean protect her? Why do I need to protect her? I’m no knight in shining armor. Besides, how do you know I’m a weak [censored]? His black hood hanging off the back of his head folds over itself as it turns with his head, searching for a monster they can handle. Felli floats by the masked man for a few moments, almost as if it were checking him out once again and then floating back over to the boy. Her blue flames nipped at his hands as he pushed her up to his spear. Her body breaking into six small flames and making two triangle around the blade of his weapon, spinning slowly in opposite directions, before a single flame engulfs the blade. Like cultists chanting in a circle.

  19. A single word shot Shiro through the heart like an arrow. His face looks the part as well, except it’s a BRIGHT pink. “Love...” Was that what it was? Shiro has only ever known one woman that he loves, and definitely not in the same way. That was more a familial love, it was required. She’s kind of cute, but I wouldn’t say love. He clenches his fist and tries to focus on the task at hand. It’s not love... it can’t be... I’ve only known her for a short while. His eyes scan the area, but not actually grasping any information. “Love isn’t real. It’s just a release of dopamine and norepinephrine, nothing more than chemicals and general attraction.” Shiro lied, and it was obvious he was lying. He was always bad at lying, he believes in love, but not that he’ll ever be in it.

    His familiar danced on the leaves of a flower and The boy in black reaches down to pick it and practically falls forwards when Arabelle says the girl’s name. “What? Huh? Who? Wha- Wha- how?” He fumbles over his words, not sure what magic she used to figure out who Mishiro is, until she reveals that they’re best friends. That’s when Shiro finally realizes just how crazy this lady actually was. “Have you known this whole time?” He’s completely and utterly frustrated with himself for being so easily bamboozled by such a maniacal witch. He closes his fists again and pulls his hood up, grabs the plant and looks at her. “Lying isn’t sweet and innocent, nor is prying a kid for information.” His familiar flies over to the lady, floating around erratically like it was giving her sass. The boy nods towards his familiar and smiles before turning back towards the woods. “I agree with Felicity.” His tone sarcastic as he leans against a tree.

  20. The boy notices her reaction, thinking for a moment and begin’s speaking himself. “What’s your favorite floor?” He asks, trying to keep the conversation going. Carrying these things is exhausting, I’m never talking again after this. Of course that was an exaggeration, he was actually having fun. Despite being super anti social he had no problem talking to this girl. It wasn’t the same as talking to Mishiro, but it was definitely better than talking to Arabelle. She seems cool, but I feel like I’m annoying her. He pulls his hood further down forward, covering the majority of his head. The black hair under the black hood kind of made him look goth, but the rest of the black attire weren’t helping either. His eyes pan across the field and he looks at the girl. “Fine I’ll take the armor. Maybe I can use it for small adventures.” He smiles, like a child who just complimented someone. “Wanna go to a nearby cafe? I know a few that serve cookies, ice cream, and other sweets.” The smile had disappeared as his face turned back to the deadpan expression usually seen on his face.

    @Kirbs

  21. The face he had in his mind started speaking. It was a surreal moment, like watching a dream come true. Not that he had thought about this exact moment before, he’s not a weirdo, but the image in his mind lined up with reality, and he was stuck between the two. Then she actually spoke, and he couldn’t be more surprised. The way she described walking around town was amazing, she understood what it means to do something fun. She looks at the little details, like an artist trying to recreate something. Then she asks him if he would like to accompany her on one of her excursions. “I would actually like that.” A genuine smile forms on his face as he looks across the wooden table and over the drink in front of her. His eyes locked themselves in place, like a missile tracking a target, the stayed on Mishiro’s eyes for a few moments before Shiro’s mind kicked back in. His cheeks turn a bright red as he quickly turns his gaze over to the waiters and other staff. He began to worry about if she would think he’s weird, or if she was just messing with him the whole time.

    @Mishiro

  22. As the town begins to come into view, the girl says something about quest rewards and the boy begins to think. Last time I did this I thought the quest rewards sucked, so I guess I’ll just take them and use them until I get better gear. His eyes shift towards her as he smiles genuinely. “Thanks.” His smile disappears, as he begins to think. “Though I’ll only need it for a little while, are you sure you don’t want it to sell to a merchant or something?” He asks, starting to get more comfortable around her. She wasn’t too loud, but she drew out a more talkative side of Shiro, and that made him feel like he was in control of the conversation. “I usually just play violin for fun. That and take walks in the dark.” He grins at the thought of playing the violin while walking through the beautifully dark fields of Aincrad. “I love the fourth floor at night. It’s never truly dark. The snow turns bluish but still reflects enough light to glisten. It’s amazingly beautiful.” While being quiet made him more at ease, she had an aura about her that made him wanna talk a bit more.

  23. Shiro’s eyes dance between the girl and the masked weirdo. I don’t see why not, but still. That guy gives me the creeps... but Mishiro is actually fun to hang out with. He thinks for a moment and then opens his mouth. “I’ve got nothing better to do. I guess hanging out won’t be too bad.” He feared he may come to regret the words, but that was a problem for future Huginn. Right now he had to worry about figuring out who the masked man is. His eyes land on the orange cursor. I saw a list somewhere with some orange players on the first floor, but the odds of him being someone on that list are pretty low right? He tries to think back to the names on the list but literally doesn’t remember a single name on the list. It’s gonna be an issue if I can’t find out who he is. If he does cause trouble, I’m sure there’s nothing I could do anyways. He turns to the man who calls himself Ares. “How do you know Mishiro?” He asks, not worried about the origin of the masked stranger anymore.

    The familiar dances over to Mishiro playfully. Felli seemed happy around the girl, a lot like Shiro was, but less expressive being a flame and all. The flame floats around her in an upward spiral, finally floating in the air above the girl’s shoulder, happy as can be.

  24. Shiro had no idea how to react, so he didn’t do anything. His steps were calm and precise, yet quick and short. His walking carries him on the verge of the light, avoiding the lady as best he can. The world is dark and scary. At least to most people, I think it’s amazing, the colors and sounds culminating in a serene world of sensory stimulation. The boy looks at the girl, and slows down, walking right next to her and turning towards her. What was that question I’ve used a thousand times. He thinks for a moment then realizes something, maybe if I can talk to her the whole way there I can distract her. “What do you like to do for fun?” He asks, his voice soft, almost like a shy kid talking to someone of the opposite sex... oh wait... The familiar’s light keeping his face lit slightly blue. His eyes moving back and forth between the girl’s face and the familiar.

  25. Shiro’s eyes lock on the girl as she follows up his attack flawlessly. Her grace with the weapon almost entrancing. Like a dance with a knife. Though Shiro’s mind was stuck on the wink she snuck him, turning his face a bright red. “Felli, stick with her on the way back.” He pushes the air behind the luminous being and forces it over towards Kirbs. The obvious blushing was supposed to be hidden in the darkness, but the familiar was brighter than he thought, making his red cheeks just as obvious, if not more obvious than before. It’s just cold, that’s it. The wink was just a joke Shiro, get a hold of yourself. He pulls his hood up and tries to hide under that too keep her from noticing anything out of the ordinary. Though she didn’t know him all too well, so the woman probably wouldn’t recognize anything he did as out of the ordinary, unless she was comparing his actions to a normal person.
