    Spoiler

    To: @Alec

    Okay.

Kirbs didn't really feel like writing any more than that. That should be enough, right?

The redhead had been a quite depressive mood ever since she had battled her clone. Gods, was the bastard a jerk. She fell into another mood where she just stayed in her shop for days... maybe a week? She wasn't sure how much time had passed since she had gone toe to toe with her double.

She got off the teleport gate and looked around for a familiar father figure. She smiled softly when she saw a large man with a bald head. Ah, her camping buddy. She walked soundlessly over to him and nodded. "Hey, Alec. It's good to see you," she said, and she meant it. She could really use a father figure back in her life. Well, she was in no means ready to reveal everything, but just his company was enough to make her feel just a little bit better.

  2. "It's just some simple gathering," she offered, noticing the confused expression. She let out a loose smile as the girl soon put on a determined face. The kid kind of reminded her of her a few months ago.

She held out her hand to the still nameless kid and grinned. "I'm Kirbs, by the way. Er..." She sweat dropped, blinking. "Why don't I just send you a party invite? I think that this'll make the whole introduction a tad bit easier," she said nervously, sending the girl a quick party invite.

The redhead tapped a finger against her chin and looked around the already familiar town. "Zackiriah's shop shouldn't be too far away from here. I'll show you, c'mon," she gestured for the little girl to follow her as she started walking towards said area. She was starting to feel like some bloody tour guide for the more... later players. She's helped so many people with this quest, it hurt her to think about how much time was wasted doing it. It was different this time, though. She couldn't help but to help a kid.

  3. Kirbs fell back into the soft space of her bed as she blinked tiredly at the ceiling. She supposed that thinking so much right before sleeping wasn't a very good idea... but she couldn't help it.

One thought kept echoing through her mind as she thought about everything that's happened today. She wanted to kill Pinball... right? That was the only reason she was getting stronger, right? She wanted to make him feel what Bell had to go through.

    Right?

    Bell. Bell. Bell.

She smiled sadly at her blank ceiling. All the lights in her room were on... but she couldn't help but feel so dark and cold whenever she remembered he was dead.

    Dead.

How could her Bell be dead? They were supposed to make it out together. They were supposed to go out for that Gods awful tea at that nearby cafe. They were supposed to be gaming on her Gamecube until they both dropped until exhaustion. They were supposed to be getting teased by her brothers again. They were supposed to.

  4. The Cerberus came roaring into their vision as Alec killed the last remaining dog.

"Alright, come at me, you three headed mutt!" The girl screeched, darting off, spear in both hands. All three of the heads' snarled at her as she narrowly avoided their bites and claws. Using her Link spin sword art one last time, she swirled both gracefully and clumsily at the same time, managing to hit all three heads of Cerberus, and draining their health all the way to oblivion. Each head exploded before the whole body dissipated into thin air. "Alright!" She cheered, fist bumping the air with a grin.

She whipped over to Alec and clapped her hands a few times. "Good job, Alec." She smiled at him and chuckled. "I guess this is where we part ways, huh?" She said sadly. She opened her menu and sent him a quick friend request. "I'll message you if I ever need a trustworthy tank!" She called, already starting to walk out of the dark cave.

  5. "It's a signature sword art of mine," she giggled, placing the butt of her spear on the ground. "It's pretty effective, if I say so myself!"

"Don't mind if I do!" She grinned, running straight into the pack of dogs. Kirbs let out a shrill shriek of excitement as she whirled around with her spear once again. Well, she missed most of them... but she still managed to kill it, at least! Not to mention that Alec had also managed to kill the second one indirectly. Nice, now just one more to go!

The third one snarled at the two as it lunged at Alec, although, effectively missing. "Alright, you go off and finish that one so we can fight Cerberus and finally get out of here!" She called, leaping back to the safety of Alec. They were doing good! They could probably be finished in less than half of an hour.

  6. Kirbs rolled her eyes at the bunch and turned her attention to the drowsy looking Scarfy. He honestly didn't look much better than her at the moment. "Thanks, bud," she mumbled, offering a fist bump-- something she's never really done with him before. He stared at her fist for a moment before looking back up at her with a confused look. The redhead rolled her eyes before laughing once again. "C'mon, Scarfy. You've been my familiar for what, almost like, half a year now and you still don't know what a fist bump is?"

She grabbed his tiny clawed hand and formed a fist with it. "Fist," she paused, holding up the Nguruvilu's fist. "Bump," she made the knuckles collide with her own fist as she chuckled softly. "See, you learn something new every day, Scarfy!" She piped, letting go of her familiar's wrist. Scarfy didn't really react much to it-- which she expected-- and just laid his head back on her collarbone with a snort.

  7. Her eye twitched as she gave him a scowl. "I am well aware. Now, is there something I can help you with?" She said with a bitter-sweet tone.

"Yeah, actually. You need to effing chill before-"

The stranger cut himself off as he averted his eyes towards the moving thing around her neck. Right-- Scarfy, she had almost forgotten about him. Her familiar's head appeared from in front of her and gave the stranger a deathly glare as if almost saying, 'what was so important that you had to march up here and talk?'.

The stranger audibly gulped after that, still looking between Kirbs and Scarfy with a nervous smile.

"Well, spit it out," Kirbs said, her eyes narrowing at him.

"N-nothing, nothing at all! Do whatever you were doing!" He stuttered, already making a complete one-eighty back to his booth full of morons, who were also staring at Kirbs and Scarfy incredulously.

  8. That effectively shut him up and, to her relief, he even shushed some of his buddies. Praise the lord, something finally went right today. A glass of water skid to a halt in front of her as she looked back to the bartender who gave her another nod. She lifted her head off of her palm and downed the whole glass. It didn't make her feel much better about anything. Placing the glass back down on the counter lightly, she sighed and scrolled through her friends' list. As far as she could tell, all of them were alive-- thank the Gods.

Kirbs stiffened as someone harshly tapped her shoulder.

The redhead slowly turned her head towards the person and gave him a blank face. It was the same guy she had glared at just a few seconds ago. If he was going to start a fight, swore she would tear his limbs off one by one-

"Yeah, lady. You need to chill. You look like you're about to rip somebody's face off."

  9. 'Okie dokie, then," she hopped on to the teleport gate and looked down at the girl again. How did a level one mute even get to floor twenty in the first place? She noted that down in her head to ask her later.

Glancing back at the girl once last time, she let out a small huff before exclaiming, "Teleport, Town of Beginnings!"

    And poof.

Before they knew it, a flash of white enveloped them and they were nineteen floors below. She looked up at the sky. It was still pretty light outside and it couldn't be more than a little bit after noon. "Say," she said, turning her head back to the little girl. "Why don't we get you some levels while it's still early?" She asked, tilting her head. "Have you done the tutorial quest? I've helped a bunch loads of people with that quest so just... nod if you want me to help you," the redhead faltered, not really knowing what to expect of a mute person-- as well as a kid, but we're not going to talk about that.

  10. Thank Gods she had gotten that survival skill. She would be complaining her head off if she didn't have it! She never did too well with the heal... but it just felt warm in the cave.

Kirbs jumped as a pack of ferocious dogs approached them. "I would've thought they were cute if they weren't trying to kill us!" She exclaimed, getting ready to use her Link spin attack sword art. Just as Alec finished his attack, she bounded in the middle of the three and unleashed her three-sixty fury! Her spear had managed to hit two of them, both effectively dissipating into a cloud of red shards. Just as she was just about to look at the first one, but it had already exploded into the air from Alec's bleed attack before she could. She clapped her hands together and grinned. "Alright, that was fast, we'll be over with this quest in no time, just you wait!"

  11. Kirbs laughed to herself and shrugged. "I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm the youngest person he knows and that I've been bugging him about it for a long, long time, but I'll take your word on it," she said, sitting back down on the bear skin. She felt like that this didn't really disturb her as much as she wanted it to, but y'know, yolo. She hugged her legs close to her again and let out a deep sigh. She looked at the sky once more and curled up into a ball with a nervous smile. "Well, it's getting dark so have a good night!" She said rather quickly, dipping her head into her arms.

A low his emitted from the shoulders of the already passed out owner and a Nguruvilu's head popped out from the shadows of her neck. Scarfy seemed to 'roll' his slit eyes as she clambered off of his master and curled up himself close to the redhead. Awe, he does care!

  12. Sey? Quiet? She never thought that those two would go together in a sentence unless it was 'Sey is not quiet'. "Yeah, I didn't know until a few months ago. Who knew someone was capable of loving such a huge arse?" She chuckled jokingly, her eyes nervously glancing back to the setting sun. When did it get so dark?! "I guess I am pretty damn important to Sey, huh?" She grinned, placing her hands on her hips. That was a lie. She'd probably only known Sey for a few months but he was still a big brother figure to her! "Yeah, I'm sure to tell him that," she nodded her head, smiling.

Looking up at the sky once more, she mumbled feverishly and turned her head back at Alec. "Say, it's already getting dark," she said quickly, laughing. "Why don't we hit the hay tonight? Find a nice lava pit again or something?"

  13. Kirbs strolled in to the familiar tailor's shop. It's actually been quite a while since she's been here. She was still a little ol' child back then. Oh, how she missed that. Smiling softly to herself, she passed by Hei and gave a small nod. She had never really talked to him before, nor seen him outside his shop. Does he even go outside? I mean, he could be like her and be a shop hermit, too.

She scribbled her order down and handed it in, as well as handing Hei the bag of Col that was due. A new person called for new armor! "See you later, Hei!" She called, already walking out of the shop. She was pretty sure he knew the drill by now.

  14. “Oh, yeah. I’ve met Hestia. She’s real nice,” she nodded, failing to mention how she met Hestia, but he didn’t need to know that, yet. She bubbled with excitement at the mention of Sey. She had forgotten that he was a front-liner! “Yeah, yeah! Sey is like a big brother to me! His wedding is supposed to be soon, actually... I’m supposed to be the flowergirl!” She cackled, rubbing her hands together. Oh, the joy she would have! Stuffing rose petals down people’s throats! To be honest, she has never really seen Sey in action. With the way Alec was talking about him, he must be pretty good! --And Macradon-- she had gotten her Aftershock from him, but she has never really talked to him apart from that.

"Coffee?" She made a face, something between a disgusted one and a gagging one at that. "I never really liked coffee that much. Caffeine doesn't do too well on my taste buds," she stuck out her tongue.

  15. Kirbs stumbled into the tavern, rain dripping down from every crook and nanny on her body. She was far too tired to even go home at the moment. The last thing she wanted to do was to be out in the cold and dark rain, too. She sighed and walked tiredly over to a bar stool. "Just get me a glass of water," she mumbled, resting her elbow on the counter and her chin on her palm. The bartender took one looker at her before nodding and scurrying off. Gods, is this what it felt like to be a bloody adult?

The headache she was having was bloody insufferable and it made her feel like her head was about to explode in any given second. The loud noise from the corner of the tavern didn’t make her head feel any better, it made it feel worse. The redhead groaned and whipped her head to look at the dingus bat heads that located a large booth. There was probably at least five players there, chattering their heads off. The girl silently glared daggers at the group until one of them looked up from their conversation and straight at her.

  16. "Yhea, they were pretty great," she said softly, fiddling with her fingers. "Ah, I see. Well, I would rather have me stuck in here than my parents... who knows what I would've done in real life if my dad was stuck in here," she grimaced, already not wanting to think about it.

"My favorite thing here?" She echoed, thinking for a few seconds. "Well, the scenery in Aincrad is by far great... but I don't think that it would be my favorite thing. The parties and events held are pretty sick, too. Gah, I don't really know! I like a lot of things here!" She racked through her brain for a solid answer to his question. "I really like the people I've met here. Most of them are nice, so far at least. I wish I could meet the front-liners out there, though," she said, giving the ground a far off look. "I haven't really met any... and the one I did meet, it wasn't really on good circumstances," she sighed, not wanting to go back to that memory.

  17. "I can still hear it!" She screeched. Looking between the cracks in her eyes, she frowned even wider. "God, bloody dammit," the redhead muttered, taking her spear once again and walking up to the mantis with a scowl. "You can bloody go to hell!" She screamed, poking the mantis with the tip of her spear. The mantis let out a surprsied shriek before exploding. Kirbs clapped her hands together and sighed. "This day has been a real headache," she mumbled, her eye twitching.

"Look, Bahr. I'll divide up the loot evenly and stuff," she said, dividing up the loot by half.

Once that was all done and well, she shoved her hands into her pockets and sighed. "It's been good seeing you, Bahr. Don't get killed when I'm gone," she smiled breezily, half serious and half jokingly. The last thing she'd want for Bahr is for him to be dead, so praise the lord that he doesn't get killed by a mantis without her. She walked away with a single wave and smile.

  18. Kirbs sighed as as readied her sword art again. She was going to get really dizzy with this sword art one day. She spun around in full circles again with her spear outstretched, managing to do quite a bit to each of them and even killing the second one. Thank Gods, that was one less giant bug in the world.

She placed her hand on her head as she stumbled back to where Bahr was. "I really hate that sword art sometimes," she mumbled, letting out a few shrill laughs here and there. Gods, her head hurt like a female dog. The items were quick to send into her inventory. Thank the bloody lords because she didn't want to get anywhere near that first mantis. "Please, please kill that last one," she covered her eyes with a frown. "I don't think I can look at it for another second without barfing."

  19. Kirbs let out a small yelp as the mantis threw her back, taking a good chunk off of her health. "Well, screw you, too!" She seethed, already activating her Link spin sword art. Right before she started attacking, she spared a bit of time to flip Bahr off with the birdie and a frown.

She had managed to hit both of them, this time, yay! One of them even got paralyzed, not bad. She marched over to Bahr and frowned. "I hate you from the deepest part of my heart," she exclaimed, crossing her arms with a scowl. How dare he make her fight giant bugs, again?! "And try not to miss this time," she mumbled, already starting to yawn. The past few days and nights have been tiring. The fact that she was even to stand up and walk was a miracle to her, honestly. When was the last time she even got a full nights rest?

  20. "They seem very nice," she murmured, smiling softly as he recalled his own family.

"My family?" She questioned, her shoulders sagging for few seconds. "They were-- they are," she corrected herself, "they are really... unique. My brothers, specifically. Those two were little rascals," she chuckled. "They were twins, you see, and I swore they had some kind of twin telepathy or something. It always drove me nuts, those two." She sighed, shaking her head. "Yeah, my parents raised some weird children, didn't they?"

"Me and my brothers are obsessed with video games, it was almost concerning, really. They're probably in college or something by now, or at least I hope so," she mumbled the last part mostly to herself. It really did concern her that she couldn't know how her brothers were doing. They would both be nineteen now, so that means that they would be in college, right? They didn't particularly seem like people to go to the work force, nor did they really seem like they would only graduate high school. She knew those two had big plans in life, she just wished she knew what they were.

  21. "I'm not a murderer."

    "I'm not a murderer."

She repeated those same words over and over again as she clutched her head in her hands. How could she ever face any of her friends again if she had murdered someone? How would they react? Would they feel the same way of her like they do to Pinball? A murderer?

She didn't know how long she had been crouching in that clearing but after a good bit, rain had started to pout. She was on a floor that was a literal rain forest, after all.

Her hand traced over the ground lightly as she had the other arm resting firmly on her knees. What was she going to do now? She was going to fail everyone either way. What was the point of even doing anything if she couldn't protect the people she loves? Would she kill to protect? She was be murdering for a good cause, then, right?

  22. Kirbs feverishly glanced from the dark sky and then back to her hands. "Yeah, I'm fine! Just fine!" She piped, shoving her hands back into the pockets of her pants. "I'm just not a morning person!" She said smoothly. Well, that was partly true. She hated mornings, eugh. What was so good about waking up in the morning? You could wake up in the afternoon and still feel fine and dandy!

Another silent yawn escaped her as she walked on. Seriously, really how far was this thing? This quest was far too easy to be walking for more than a day. Stupid was the only word she would use to define this whole fiasco. The redhead sighed and looked down at the rocky floor. "So, tell me about your family," she paused, her eyes flickering back and forth between Alec and the ground. "What were they like? You speak fondly of them."
