  1. The message came at midnight.

    Morningstar wasn't asleep. He should have been, and normally would have been, but the onslaught of Spectral Knights had kept him in the field long past bed time. He, alongside Freyd, Wulfrin, and Ciela, had been outside Donoghue's when the knights stopped spawning. No system message came through--no explanation for the suddenness of it all. They came and they left, and everything went quiet.

    He was pleased when he realized it was over. For him, the workday rarely ended at 4:00, but midnight was a new late. The journey home was long, and the weary Morningstar only made it as far as the Ilridge teleporter before the message came through.

    A message directed to every frontliner was rare to see. Who in the world was Hackman?

    He read the message, and the words 'floor boss' burned in his eyes. The waypoint on his map led northward, to the edge of the Black. As much as he wanted to drop everything and follow it, he needed rest.

    The following morning, he sent word for a few allies to join him at the Nemean Plain.

  7. This wasn't his first rodeo. Actually, it might have been his fifth. It was hard to keep track. Losing his eye was definitely the worst. It's hard being blind. He thought he knew how Firefly felt (plot twist: he did not).

    "Baby hand," he replied.

    "Just kidding. It'll grow back all at once. But until then you can call me One-Hand Star."

    He moved away from his half-drunken companions and popped the Spectral Knight with a quick gut punch. He followed it with another side kick, but found his stamina drained. It was time for someone else to finish the job.

    "I need a nap," he managed to mutter, and then he toppled over.

    He was fully conscious, mind you. Just a little weary. The Spectral Knight had been weakened to a lethal state and the Shamblers nearby were all but harmless. He could rest for a moment or two.

    Requirements:

    • Collect supplies from the Guild Vault based on where they will be delivered.
    • Travel to an existing settlement that cannot support itself [such as Charko or Aradennia]
    • Roleplay delivering the goods to NPC's or players around the settlement you chose.
    • Roleplay adding your delivery to the guild ledger.

    Summary:

    One of Firm Anima's ideals is to protect supply chains, and maintain order and peace. Some cardinal settlements by design cannot operate alone, and the guild believes that without direct intervention that these locations will crumble. Quests may become unavailable, or worse that settlements exports could also cease to be causing widespread destruction. It is the duty of all members to try their best to preserve what limited resources the game provides players, and is one of the guilds founding tenants.

    Outline:

    Participants are required to enter the guild vault in the Guild Hall on Floor 22, Forest of Memories. Inside they will browse the shelving of collected resources, filling up crates with what they find and closing them up for transit.
    After each participant has filled a crate with things they find suitable, the party will need to head to a settlement of their choosing that is in need of aid. Options include but are not limited to Floor 21, Charko (Hidden Villiage) or Floor 23, Aradennia (Sun Elf Capital). Any settlement that the party deems 'in need of aid' will suffice for this requirement and participants are encouraged to try and branch out. While carrying a crate, players will no longer regain EN and lose 10 EN per turn as they perform hard manual labor. These players are also restricted from using teleport crystals and must use standard warp gates to travel between floors due to the weight, traveling on foot through potentially dangerous territory in the process. If a player reaches 0 EN they must stop and rest by setting the crate down, recovering to full EN after 2 posts.

    Once the party has arrived at the settlement they have chosen, each participant must spend at least two posts meeting with either players (NPC) or Named NPC's delivering their goods to destinations of their choosing. Once all goods have been delivered, players will regain access to fast travel methods. The last thing each participant will need to do, is return to the guild and record what their delivery entails within the large red bound leather book on the mahogany meeting room table known as the 'guild ledger': a large list of all past visits and deliveries.

    Having made your weekly deliveries, you sit exhausted on one of the many chairs in the guild hall. Other members of the guild wander by, seeking out their own deliveries or preparations. Soon those you visit will begin to recognize you, remembering your face and what you've done for them. NPC's even start to call you by name, as if you are a part of the masses you work to protect.

  15. He eyed the remaining NPCs, trying his best to judge their weight. He tapped his chin. "Two of the smaller ones at best. I haven't been to a gym in    years. And I was really more of a squatter," he shrugged. "I'll head out with this group and then come back for the others. Keep 'em alive for a while."

    His group stumbled around in the dark. They were much less enthusiastic about it than NIGHT, but Morningstar's glow stone soon cheered them up. He remembered it about half way through the tunnel and immediately felt silly. NIGHT probably could have bumped into him a few less times had he equipped the stone earlier.

    The stone formed in his hand and light poured into the halls of the mine. The villagers awed aloud, curious about the odd type of rock the player held in the air. They could see quite far, but the light wasn't endless. "Stay close, please. Single file. Cheers."

    At their would-be exit, Morningstar discovered that his pully system had gone slack. Fair. Their arms were probably tired. He called out for whoever was on the other side to lift the boulder, but no response came. He gave the crumbling rock wall a brief knock, but no one returned a thing. 

    MS: uh nobody's opening up the cave for us.
