  1. NIGHT nodded, jogging over to the gardens, a little more than eager to start collecting materials. As the brick road transitioned to grass, the once densely packed garden changed in her eyes, stretching further and wider, down the side of town. She watched as a handful of other players strolled through the gardens, idly picking up shinies as they so pleased.

"Woah," she breathed, unaware. "Okay, where're the enemies..?"

The garden was much more peaceful than she had anticipated -- flora of varying spring colors brightened up the area, a sign of obvious and delicate care (on the part of the System, she assumed). Looking around a few patches of trees, she could hardly find signs of one at the entrance.

"Maybe we should try further in?" NIGHT was clueless, but she wasn't afraid to give her theory a shot. Wandering further down the garden, she managed to spy a few markers from her interface. She pointed at them to Koga. "When you're ready."

    @Koga

  2. [2/11/19]

As quickly as her luck came, it left her, and she was short on materials yet again. Ren grumbled, flipping through her notes. Had she missed something out again? It would be most like her, in that scenario. She tried to recount what she had done, writing her steps down on paper for future references under 'WHAT NOT TO DO', but found herself crossing out most of the steps; they weren't part of the problem the other times.

She collected the last material she'd salvaged and sorted into it's rightful place in the cubby shelves, before cleaning up her desk and heading to bed for the night.

I'll... figure it out some other time

  3. "Now, what about your favorite food?" Yukiro shot back, slowing down to look back at her. "What's the best thing to eat?"

"Um, what's this about?" NIGHT tilted her head, curious and on edge. Should I even respond? Her eyes wandered to the floor, thinking. It's hard to think with the stench... I actually don't even know what my favorite thing to eat is. There's just too many choices--

"-- You know, I never did get to try that pancake!" Yukiro exclaimed, his stare bearing into her soul. "We'll have to go back there sometime."

-- No seriously, what's happening?! NIGHT could barely hold eye contact with him, wearing a scowl on her face at the absurdity of the situation. "I mean," she replied, "Sure? I wouldn't mind going back there for a bite?"

The moment she turned to look away, Yukiro questioned her again, "What's your favorite hobby?"

    "U-Uuu...."

M-Maybe I should tune him out...

NIGHT turned to look around --

"--Where do you wanna go, anywhere in the world?"

-- starting to get a little lost --

    "--What's your favorite season?"

    -- where were they?

She walked right into Yukiro, not watching her step nor him shifting over to catch her attention. "Woah, hey! Watch where you're going."

He pulled a funny face at her.

It was really bad. NIGHT couldn't help but give him a subdued smirk, trying to mask her humor. "That," she commented, covering her mouth and nose once again, "That was really great, but you think you wanna tell me what's up now?"

    @Yukiro

  4. NIGHT swooped in from the side. She hadn't tried this before, but it was worth a shot. She prepared her battle stance as she was rushing in, making sure she got a perfect view ---

    --Ping!

With a blinding blue streak, she was carried across the room, her sword outstretched and her body weight behind it, tearing into the flesh(?) of The Scarecrow. The silver glint of its oversized weapon was right on top of her, and had the system not been faster, NIGHT was certain she'd be dead meat.

As she landed, she swung her sword as a counterweight to her momentum. She shot her head back at the figure -- she felt her attack land, and there was that obvious red scar on him --

-- so why didn't its health bar go down?!

Then she saw it. In the corner, below its health, were two signifiers; one bleed, one blight. Her hit had definitely landed-- she just wasn't strong enough to do anything else to it.

  5. "Huh? It's black," she responded curtly, giving Yukiro a glance. "Why, what's yours?"

Her attention was still towards the ground in front of her. Dirt paths lead them through the outskirts of town and into a forest, where the harsh smell of sickness washed over her. NIGHT felt her eyes tear up and immediately covered her nose with a hand. "Okay," she quipped, trying to ease her senses. "I... I didn't expect this. What's up with this place?"

The two continued to trudge onward, and NIGHT stopped for a moment when an interface element informed her of the village they were in. "<<Horunka>>, huh," she thought aloud, muffled behind her hand, before taking another step. The forest around them was dense, and she'd have figured that it'd smell more like nature, but...

If the scent was this overpowering, they must be in much dire need than we first expect.

Perhaps she should commission a handkerchief when she got back, she mused, looking around for the quest marker.

    @NIGHT

  6. "..."

"... You're right. I was out of line," Yukiro replied, halting his stride. NIGHT caught up to him, cautious. "I'm sorry."

"I know I'm lashing out," he continued, looking into the distance, "but I also know I shouldn't be so weak as to do such a thing."

-- It's not weakness though, it's suffering. That's alright, we try not to do it again. Those were the words she wanted to say, but Yukiro continued on.

"Pain, suffering, nothing gives me the right to say or do anything like that. I simply don't have the right to do so. I do spend every day, since we went our ways, either helping other rookies or hunting the manticore. Every single day," he recounted. As much as NIGHT wanted to be impressed with him, something about Yukiro's behavior struck the wrong chord with her. She folded her arms, defensive. "But I don't have the right to complain. It was my choices that lead to what happened to me, everything."

Yukiro turned around, facing her. "Yumi. Saru. You. Everything was my fault."

    "But that's not--"

"--I do not want you to go. But I won't ask you to stay. "

With an unconscious flourish, he turned around, making his way to his destination.

--- What was all that about..?

Clicking her tongue, she rushed to catch up, frantically lost. If she had wanted to say something, it would've been lost to the swirling mess of thoughts in her head about Yukiro's monologue. There were multiple key ideas she disagreed with, for one, and she did want to voice her disagreement, but...

... In this state, I don't think I'm going to convince Yukiro of anything.

NIGHT decided, that if she was going to help him, the best she would do for now was to stay beside him; preferably as they went on the quest. The two still kept in silence, she sent him a party invite as her answer.

    @Yukiro

  7. "Do you really think I need the help?"

The words cut through NIGHT like a knife through butter. This was uncharacteristically Yukiro -- or maybe it was his true nature? As she struggled to find the words, he turned away, taking long strides yet again. "... I would love the company. Thank you, Night."

    ... This guy...

Did he really think so little of her? If she wasn't two years older than she already was, she'd have given up on her so-called friend. But right now she was bordering on irritation, and had a good handful of words she needed to get off her chest about his behavior. She strode after Yukiro, attempting to keep up.

NIGHT had to get through to him, or at least figure the guy out.

Careful to keep her words within earshot, she spoke only when they were in a less dense section of town. "As much as I appreciate joining you on your quest, what's your deal?!" she berated, hushed. "Are you just lashing out? Look--" she paused, gesturing with her hands, "I know you're-- you're hurt and you've gone through a lot... a lot of trauma--" she paused, rummaging through her thoughts, trying to avoid thinking about the conclusion of their last quest. "And maybe something else awful happened whilst we were split up, I get that."

"But I'm not up for being told off like that, Yukiro. And I'm not looking to make an enemy out of you, either" NIGHT stated, pacing herself carefully. "If you need some space or some time, or if you secretly don't want me around either," she said, eyes down to the floor, "Then let me know, instead of insulting me to my face. We can go our separate ways after the quest, if you wanted."

    @Yukiro

  8. So it was him! Details of his figure came easier when he's not 50 feet away. NIGHT found herself sprinting faster, determined to catch up with her friend. "Oi! Yukiro!"

As he slowed, he replied sharply, not turning around. "Why are you following me? The others are back there."

Could he slow down a little more?! Not only did his monstrous height lend him a stride advantage, but his speed was too fast to keep up with, had she been walking alongside him. "Yeah? Well," she breathed, jogging to keep up, "They had a full party anyway. And I don't think I'm too familiar with half of the players yet."

"Besides," she huffed, her face reddening from the persistent exercise. "Didn't you plan on going for that quest too?"

"... Sorry, I've just had a bad couple of days." Yukiro slowed down, slightly, allowing NIGHT to recover a tad bit. "I don't mean to be rude," he muttered quietly.

"It's... it's really alright... Don't worry about it," NIGHT panted out, changing her pace. "But--" she swallowed, "--but, you were planning to join them too, weren't you? If you're still k-keen on it, we could team up. I'm sure..." she gestured with a fist. "I'm sure we could do it together."

    @Yukiro

  9. It was a new day, and that meant more crafting for NIGHT... if she had any materials. Her stores were near depleted (she felt), and so today, she'd decided to go hunting with a new friend. Apparently, word had gotten around that there was an isolated garden somewhere in town, where materials were bountiful and aplenty -- and that was her destination.

NIGHT hoped that she wasn't going to be late. On the contrary, she'd reached the venue a whole minute before the intended meeting time, searching around eagerly to find Koga, who was leaning by a wall and chewing on some grass. Jogging over, she waved to him, giving him a shout. "Hai! Sorry I'm late!"

Reaching closer, she took a moment to catch her breath, before looking around. There was a garden near by, sure, but she wasn't exactly impressed with it -- not yet. Pointing, she commented, "So is that the place? Take this lightly, but it doesn't seem anything spectacular to me," she paused, thinking about the possible extents of the garden. "Not yet, anyway. We'll track down and take out as much as we can, yeah?"

  10. NIGHT sauntered into the tavern, taking a break from crafting. She had intended to pick up some food here and go, but fate may have had other plans for her today. As she stretched, she found herself still lost in thought, figuring out what went wrong with her recent crafts.

"What the hell are you doing here? Still alive I see."

"We are going to grab something to eat, do you want to join us and get a group discount?"

"Um, y-yes! I, I would enjoy that greatly, thank you."

-- Okay, this tavern's' popular, sure, but not this much. Was there a party of players around?

    "Nice to meet you, Abalasster."

That was Yukiro, wasn't it? Looking around for the source of the voice, she noticed a large -- very large group of players lounging around and discussing niceties with each other. There were a few she could recognize -- Lonzo, Nora, Yukiro -- but the rest were complete strangers.

Did that guy have a scarab as a familiar? That's so cool!

Approaching the group cautiously, she waved over to them, curious. "Yo! What's happening over here?"

"If there's a group discount for food," NIGHT brought up, eyes glinting. "I want in."

  11. A little late to the party, she thought, hustling past the few players walking the main road. There was a request to join another player on one of the beginning quests; Secret Medicine of the Forest, if she recalled correctly. NIGHT hadn't actually expected any other players to show up for the meet, but the sight puzzled her instead. Slowing her jog down to a brisk walk, she looked around, noticing two strangers and two friends. Full party.

But... wasn't there someone else missing? If she recalled, Yukiro had also been interested in joining them, but he wasn't here. Was he late too?

... Maybe it's because I also thought to join, huh?

Shaking her head, she scanned her surroundings instead. Things might've been awkward between them since their last encounter, but that wasn't going to stop her from being friends with him. How upset would he still be about it, anyway? It's been a while, maybe he'd have lightened up by now.

    "Ni-"

    ?

She'd heard that. She'd spent enough time with him to recall his voice. Her attention shot over towards a building in the distance, and a streak of blue with a mop of brown dashed out behind another.

... That had to be him, right? Why was he fleeing--

    -- that idiot--!

Tightening her hands into fists, she made a mad dash after him, attempting to catch up to him.

  12. "Yeah, it was the first quest I picked up," NIGHT confided, following alongside Nora. The two kept a rather steady pace as they made their way over towards the outskirts of town. "It was dark out, and usually in most other games they'd have you running around town first, but I got caught scavenging around benches by someone else," she continued, placing a hand at the back of her neck. "It... wasn't fun finding out about the truth. I'd spent a frustratingly long 10 minutes looking..."

Passing the threshold, NIGHT looked around, trying to spot any identifiable gathering points by far sight alone. Nora, on the other hand, lead them to a close patch, near the town walls, and began her own search. As she did, she spoke up. "Sorry about last time, I couldn't drag you through that, it was a really draining ordeal just on my own."

"Hey, that's alright. Earning a Living's all over the place, really," NIGHT commented with a tilt of her head. This is a little close... well, maybe we'll get lucky. Squatting down, she began rifling through the grass patch as well.

"I searched the place over and could only find three materials," her party member disclosed, recounting her own tale. "The last two materials that I got was from boar loot drop. I found it easier to get material by loots, since all I need is an odd CD or LD roll."

NIGHT sighed with ire as she, too, recalled the note in the quest log. "You know what? Same here; I'd given up after the first 2 materials, and I was hoping I'd do great at that, but I resorted to hunting monsters anyway." Sorting through her memories, she also clarified, gazing into the distance. "I don't think we could do it for this quest though. If I remember correctly, Zackariah really wants some flowers, or maybe they were herbs."

As she waited for a reply, she looked back to Nora, who was oddly quiet, her movements slowing. "Hey, you doin' okay over there?"

"It was odd," Nora said, after a bit, her movements regaining their pace. "I saw some other players getting killed by a boar because they didn't have healing potions."

Wow. NIGHT could only imagine the horror -- she'd been lucky thus far to witness only trauma, and not an actual death of someone in-game yet. "It changed something within me," Nora remarked dryly, "and reminded me to be careful and not get too carried away."

"... I suppose if you took anything away from that," NIGHT mused, "that's as good as a lesson as any. I'm sorry you had to see that." Spotting a glint of light in the grass, she picked it up, holding up a blue flower gently out to Nora. "Here," she mentioned, spinning it with her fingers. "I hope this cheers you up a little. The flowers look like these, by the way, if not a different color."

    @Nora

  13. Delilah was a lovely little town, and NIGHT barely had any time to take exploring it. Cautious, she'd guessed she'd wander around town by cutting through the center and exploring one side of town before the other. That's a good way to start the search, she figured.

Bounding over the bridges and dirt roads, and examining the various structures in town, most of them seemed to be built out of rock, stone and wood. They had thatched roofs on the perimeter, with more orange shingles coalescing as she neared the center. NIGHT kept a watch out for any with a wooden sign outside of it -- they did seem to like indicating their wares that way.

The center would've been her first guess as to where the blacksmith's shop was, but to her chagrin, it wasn't present. At least, not the one she was hoping to find, having stepped out of a standard smith's shop. His name was Griswold, right? Um...

On the west wing, she'd find another store open with the blacksmith's sign, spotting the quest marker through a window. Bingo. A few swipes, and she pinged Lonzo her location in town. Perhaps she should take this time to mentally steel herself.

  14. If help was so needed, help was to be granted. NIGHT checked the message she got from Nora as she finished up her meal, before shooting back a, "Got it, I'm on my way," to her, stuffing the last piece of french toast in her mouth.

    Now, where was Zackariah...?

It was a little difficult to figure out, given that his quest marker had disappeared (and retracing steps would bring up some awkward memories), but she'd manage to figure out the way by picking out someone in standard-issued adventurer's gear and tailing them from a distance towards the shop. I hope nobody sees me...

As she approached closer, she spied Nora, leaning against the wall and enjoying the sunny blue sky. "Yo," she called out, breaking off route from her original target to head over. "<<First Few Lessons Are Free>>, right? It's..." she scratched her cheek, "It starts out a gathering quest, so I can keep an eye out for danger whilst you search."

  16. "Of course!" Yukiro replied, in a collected voice that stunned Ren. "Sorry, I didn't mean to put any more stress on you."

But his give away was the wiping of tears from his eyes. As he turned back to her, he smiled, trying to comfort her, "It's nothing you need to think about! I just let myself go for a bit! I'm sorry!"

    I'm sorry...

As he shuffled over to the bench, he added, pushing himself to sound happier, "If you want, my shop is at the very end of the same alleyway of the Crusty Bahrnicle. I'll give you access to it for tonight."

"No, really, it's okay," Ren replied, worn out completely. I'm really sorry... "I'll... go deliver the package," she looked at the quest item, still blank and soulless. She'd definitely have to wake the blacksmith up but... Better late then never...

"Please go rest in your bed," she spoke aloud, before running off in the direction of their client.

    I'm desperately sorry, right now.

    - - -

The tapping of footsteps was loud, urgent and painful, as Ren attempted to sprint to her target, trying to clear her head of what happened earlier. As she got closer, she saw it -- Lyle was just up, his lights still on, but getting ready for the new day rather than otherwise.

"Hai!" She yelled, catching his attention. Holding up the parcel as she ran, Ren added, "Delivery!"

    "About time! Toss it over!"

So she did. Lyle caught it with magnificent grace, and was about to offer her a high five, had she not continued on running away from him after completing her quest.

Watching her figure grow smaller, he panicked, calling out to Ren, "Hey! Come see me later, okay?!"

At the corner of Ren's interface, a new quest had been added to her log. But all she could see was the city's streets blurring with the buildings, as she continued to hit the ground, running on empty.

  17. "... Eh?"

-- hold up hold up hold up what just happened here --

In one moment, Yukiro was apologizing, right?

"N-Night. You didn't do anything wrong."

-- Okay, and then what happened next...?

"You just... Remind me of my friend, um..."

    "I think..."

    "I think I like you."

The words rang in Ren's mind. Readjusting her perspective according to the new information, Yukiro's actions seemed to fit better... but the words don't lessen their impact on either of them.

    "I think I like you."

How was one supposed to handle a situation like this?

Think, Ren, think. Maybe something from a book I've read? No, wait, the protagonist was a coward. Do I need to give him an answer right now?

Moments passed her by, as she watched the floor with a tight lip, rubbing her eyes from the tears. Her thoughts given, she tried to speak, with tired eyes, "Yukiro, I... I really appreciate it. I really do."

"But it's only been a day." With an exhausted drawl, she added, "Could you please give me more time?"

  18. "Ah NIGHT. Does it stand for something? Nightingale In Gorgeous Heavenly Trancendance," Lonzo stated, as NIGHT felt her soul leaving her body. Did she really have to hear that? "It's not that complicated," she drawled, her skin crawling from the memory. By all rights, she was sure, this was definitely a creep she was dealing with. I hope whatever we're going to do, it's worth the effort...

"All right, I'll invite you to the party then," the man mentioned, sending her a party invite -- and friend request?! Both at once?

"You should join up with me! If we run around the town, we'll be able to find the quest faster. I can go one way and you can go the other way, whoever finds him first I guess wins," the man planned, seemingly effortless. NIGHT watched on, agape, still attempting to catch up with the social implications that've just been thrust onto her. "Kind of like a race. Then we mail the other person if we find them and meet up again."

    "Sound good to you?"

    "Y-yeah, sounds g--"

"-- Or would you have my company, Nightingale?"

Wordless, she accepted the invitation and friend request, before leaving Lonzo stranded on the bridge, off to find the blacksmith in question.

    @Lonzo # sorry i took so long! ;;

  19. "Mou!" NIGHT heard a cry from the crowd, on the other side of the room. "Anyone need TP crystals!? I got a bunch of them that I don't mind handing out!"

A bunch? She'd recall hearing about the item being a savior in risky businesses. Then don't mind if I do...

Jogging over, NIGHT tried to figure out who the voice belonged to. "Uh," she called out, trying to respond in general, "Me please! Teleport Crystals wanted here!"

"Night! Party!" Whipping around, she spotted Yukiro quickly working through the menus. "Hai!" She hollered back, rushing over. With dexterity, she accepted the oncoming party invite and regrouped over with him. A flash of blue from Yukiro caught her eye, "Is that a teleport crystal?"

Looking about, she checked to see if the player who'd called out earlier was around. Maybe the big give away was the inventory menu that was open. Approaching her and asking gently, NIGHT was provided a teleport crystal.

  20. "I just... Wanted to avoid the place for a little bit," Yukiro replied, turning to the bench subtly. "Besides, I have another place I can go to."

"A-and, if you do want to stay there, I sure you wouldn't want me around," he added, and Ren flinched, appearing disgruntled. How could he say that? Other than the accusation earlier... it's not like you've done anything wrong.

Her friend cleared his throat, continuing. "Of course, if you'd prefer one of the inns--"

"N-no. No inns," she shot back reflexively. "And what do you mean I don't want you around?" Ren folded her arms, defensive and worried. "I -I do? We've just became friends, I have no reason to take it back!"

"I... I actually thought you didn't," she added, beginning to look downcast. "That I did something wrong somewhere, earlier..." Ren brushed her eyes with her sleeve, attempting to hide her welling tears. After a moment's recovery, she balled up her hands into fists. Through gritted teeth, through her anger and sadness and confusion, she breathed, "I'm sorry, I don't know what I did, so please tell me. I didn't mean to upset you, I swear."

    @Yukiro

  23. NIGHT skid to a halt, as she had attempted to leave the venue. A scatter of vines had blocked her path! This wouldn't do at all, she'd be late for the boss!

A large, dancing figure in the midst crowd caught her attention, and she thought it was one of those dancing blow-up figures at car dealers. It wasn't, unfortunately, being a rather intimidating scarecrow with a scythe, but she quickly realized it was the boss as it spoke, its voice echoing and booming.

"Souls don't have armor!" NIGHT called out, slightly peeved. Okay, what's the plan, Ren?

Step one: Take a bite of the Obnoxious Corn Dog. She struggled to keep it down, breaking the rest of the item into crystal ash with a squeeze of her hand. Note to self: Oily, tastes like plastic, don't eat it again.

Step two: Wolf down the Funnel Cake. It looked familiar enough. She took a bite out of it, before taking a few more. Much more edible, she thought. Need to refine it's edibility experience though, for further improvement.

Step three. She pulled out her new weapon, brandishing it for show, attempting to sparse the flood of players around her. Calling out to the crowd, she hollered, "If anyone's planning on fighting that thing, count me in!" Taking up a stance, NIGHT appeared resolute; she wasn't planning on dying here -- not yet.

    [28/10/19]

    Spoiler

Ren placed her journal down, a few scribbles for ideas and notes on paper. Sipping her tea, she thought about what items might be best to create first.

In truth, the items she had penned down were sentimental objects she had been using before she was trapped in the game. Still thinking it over, she placed down her cup, and moved over to the backroom. The items on her list had consisted mostly of silver; while it wasn't especially precious, Ren did only have a handful of resources to work with.

The resources the game had on crafting an item were exceedingly detailed and useful. She'd first have to cut out a bit of metal she liked, usually with the help of a reference material. Next was shaping the metal; she wasn't a fan of this due to her past experiences -- Oh.

"Shoot," she muttered through gritted teeth, having snapped the piece she was working with in half. It faded into light, and she sighed, picking up the spare she had set aside for the occasion. If nothing else, I'm grateful for the foresight...

Then came soldering, which allowed her to attach the pin onto her craft. Finally, polishing the discoloured material, after being exposed to the heat.

When Ren was done, she was spent, but could rest easy cozying up on the couch. Upon her face, she wore a wide grin that paralleled the glimmer in her new hairclip.

    Spoiler

Donning her hairclip, Ren set about to do work. In the morning, she set some tea on the stove and, having had a cup, she would begin work on her journal. The sketches she laid out were intricate, with detailed components to each item carefully planned, before she began work on her craft.

Her thoroughness doesn't necessarily account for her skill, though. Today, she'd broken a craft with a quick slip of the finger. "Rats," she muttered, quick to recover from her mistake.

It must be beginner's luck, she guessed at the end of the session, as by the time she was done, she had two identical lapel pins -- red crosshairs, with a golden trim. She hesitated keeping one for herself, but came to the conclusion that she should. Wearing an item I've made... it brings about a special kind of joy.

    Spoiler

There came the tinkering of metals, a hushed curse, and the placement of tools on wood.

Perhaps she should put on some music soon. The quiet, she thought, while brought her solace, was also quite deafening if you paid too much attention to it. Going through her notes again several times, Ren planned to figure out what step in her plans led her craftsmanship awry.

She couldn't find it. Sighing, she leaned back in her chair, albeit dangerously so, and clicked her tongue. Maybe some days just be like that.

Placing her journal down with her pen, she scribbled a note for her future self as she picked up the prototype piece she had been working on, examining it under the light. A few key details, and her work for the day would end early.

    Spoiler

A new day meant a few more attempts at this new design of hers. While she wasn't entirely capable of figuring out what went wrong, she did, in fact, manage to create a form of it once again. A little sturdier, this time, as she liked it. It clipped onto her ear with ease.

Today marks the fifth day, right?

Setting aside her tools, Ren proceeded to clean up her desk and sweep the floor of dust. Maybe she should open soon. Her workshop was in dire need of materials, and so was her col pouch... tentatively.

There was an issue that bothered her specifically, though. She lifted the pendant she was wearing, examining over. Breath of the Field... felt sentimental. Maybe she should hang it up somewhere, for display rather than offer it for sale.

A moment's pause, and that was what she decided to do.

If there was a sign from a power up above to tell Ren she should Just sell her stuff already!! ... it would be this.

Ren sat in the silence of her own workshop, dumbfounded at the bulk of items she had successfully crafted, after having been on a roll.

    "Um... What... should I do...?"

The artisan pondered on this for a moment, on her fears for her new shop, and the success of her craftsmanship. Scooping up her tiny bobbles, she placed them onto their respective displays, brushing off any collected dust that had gathered whilst they sat empty. She'd have to write out some kind of price listing for them, of course, but while she was setting up her shop, she figured she'd take her time doing so...

Until the end of the day seemed fitting.
