  1. Koga crossed his arms and felt his posture relax as he watched Ghost prepare fall into an unfamiliar stance. One she somehow seemed confident in, even if Koga had never seen it before. Perhaps she had some sort of martial training in the real world? Koga had found that it was not an unlikely occurrence in this world. The girl seemed to take a moment to analyze her situation, watching the boars carefully and examining them before making her move. A quick dash was followed by a leap into the air, with Ghost diving down towards the boar's back before either even had a chance to react. O
  2. A short series of back and for messages between the players. Koga: No, the town ... Koga: Yeah, teleporter. Ill be here ... Well, all that could be done was wait for now... Koga moved off to the side just a bit, staying away from the small pockets of players that always formed in the squares. Around the billboard, around the shopping stalls, and some just scattered about chatting. He wasn't exactly keen on joining any of them, so instead Koga found a quiet place to lean against the wall with his arms crossed, a sight NIGHT would surely be accustomed to by now. --
  3. With his eyes locked on the frosted behemoth, Koga charged in behind the two tanks, allowing them to have the first strikes. This thing was massive, easily as tall as the mountains that surrounded them. How these three were going to take it down, Koga wasn't sure, but he sure as hell was going to give his best shot, regardless of what Nari might have up her sleeve. Who knew, maybe she hoped the damned thing would kill them all. The two tanks struck their blows, as Koga pivoted and dashed off to the side, his boots somehow finding purchase on the slick ice. Sharp, crimson eyes scanned the
  4. How a man in a wheel chair actually bowed was a little beyond Koga. It was more akin to him simply slouching and hunching forward a bit, than an actual bow, but the gesture was there, and at the very least, far more respectful than the last quest giver. It was, of course, no surprise though when the man requested their assistance with yet another errand. One that sounded pleasantly less insect related. One never knew though. At the question of how to travel though, Koga gave NIGHT a questioning look. Had they not just taken a carriage from the last village to this one? Before Koga even ha
  5. k o g a the elder wolf To say that Koga hadn't been expecting a message from Baldur would've been an understatement. Seeing the man's name at the top of his notifications felt more like getting called to the principle's office than finally being noticed by senpai. Whatever the hell that meant. Thankfully, opening the message revealed that the message was not, in fact, a 'come to the office' message. Well, sort of. Baldur was indeed requesting the man's presence at his dojo, but, surprisingly, it was to help him in teaching a student. Notic
  6. k o g a the elder wolf Koga awoke to a mysterious message, the sharp beep almost drowned out in the incessant screaming that was his damnable alarm. The one night Koga actually managed to get a little bit of sleep, and he'd decided to set his alarm for an early morning. What god of insomnia had cursed him? Okami was no happier than Koga, his lips curling back into a snarl as he let out a low growl, despite not opening his eyes. A door clicked open from across the hall, and the man heard something soft collide with his door and then fall to
  7. Well that went about according to plan. Aside from the clear flush and bluster, NIGHT was otherwise unharmed. Mental trauma aside, NIGHT was up and moving. Of course, Koga figured that was in part to the threat of swarms of flying insects that were evidently on their way. "Oh c'mon, not the bees..." Koga groaned upon hearing the information. Honey, great. Being stung by hundred of the tiny insects? Not so much. "Lets get going," Koga said, starting to move back down the path the way they'd came, only pausing once he realized that NIGHT and DAY hadn't begun to accompany him yet. Turning ba
  8. Koga listened carefully to what AStreya said. Another of Shadow's mutations, it seemed. Except this one was far less pleasant for the players, an unfortunate circumstance for those who had outdated information. Astreya, however, seemed to have done her research. The girl was definitely smarter than her diction would indicate...although...Koga found that something about the way Astreya spoke was off-putting. Markedly unfamiliar, even though they had only recently spoken at length while he'd gone to get his fishing skill. Laden with too many unnecessary articles...was he just...hallucinating or
  9. It wasn't more than a few moments before Koga's messenger beeped at him, alerting him to a response from Freyd. Koga couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at the man's decidedly characteristic response. There were quite a few interesting personalities in Aincrad, but few compared to Freyd. Well, except maybe Crozeph, but Koga still wasn't sure that the man was all there. Or even entirely human, for that matter. "My guy will be here in a bit," Koga reported to the still panic-stricken sailor, who simply nodded. "Please tell him to hurry, who knows what those vermin are doing to my beautiful
  10. k o g a the elder wolf Venrough, Floor 16, 11:24AM Of all the Floors Koga had yet to visit, Floor Sixteen had to have been the most pleasant. Not bitterly cold, not hellishly hot, but rather temperate, warm, with the scent of salt in the air. Though the air was sticky with humidity, the swordsman did not mind it. The moisture was pleasant, even beneath his coat, when compared to the dry desert air he'd grown up in. "Maybe we shoulda gotten a place up here," Koga said to Okami as the pair stood at the edge of the docks, overlooking the
  11. The script appeared once more before Ghost, hanging in the air just long enough for Koga to read it. An interesting piece of technology that was unfortunately undercut by the fact that Ghost nearly faceplanted into the dirt. More words, stringing together into utter gibberish as she windmilled her arms about, trying to find her balance. Instinctively, Koga reached out to catch the woman, grabbing her shoulder and waist to steady her before she discovered whether or not Aincrad's dirt tasted like Earth's. "You good?" Koga asked with a small chuckle as Ghost finally found her balance. "Gott
  12. The prompt response from Astreya soon saw Koga heading out west of town. Through white puff of hazy breath, the man could see Nari not far ahead of him, heading in the same direction as he. Some foolish part of him still held out for hope that this was all just mere coincidence, but the rational part of him was kicking the foolish part in the ass. The beat down ultimately culminated with Nari finding and stopping in front of Astreya, speaking to her, while Koga stopped a little ways off, biting back an exasperated sigh. "Perfect..." the man muttered quietly before resuming his approach towards
  13. Koga stared at NIGHT in bewilderment for a moment as she tried, quite seriously, to defend her actions, both of the past and present. Almost statuesque in stillness, as the expression froze on his face. Nothing but his eyes moved, flitting across her face trying to determine if she had taken him literally. Of course, that mask was instantly shattered as more vines descended from the tree canopy, this time yanking NIGHT up into the air. At first, Koga was simply shocked and ran over to the spot directly beneath the woman staring up at her. But then, the irony of it all hit him. Here she'd
  14. "Oh, I didn't know you two were in a guild together," Koga remarked with a hint of surprise as he looked between the two players. To be honest, the fact that they were in guilds at all shouldn't have surprised Koga, most people were, but what a small world. Although, the barest hint of annoyance in Kasumi's voice suggested that the two might not get along very well, or at least, that she did not entirely like the other man. Of course, a part of Koga could understand that irritation in the moment as @Gaius decided to double down on his bluff, once again sending Koga straight into the pits
  15. "Oh, you know, just thought I'd climb up here and fraternize with the leaves," Koga said sarcastically, tossing down a glare at the woman. "I don't fucking know, NIGHT, the vines just grabbed me! Now could you hurry up, please?" Clearly, the man was not enjoying his time being suspended in the air. Or maybe the blood was just rushing to his head a little too quickly. It didn't really matter, all he knew was that he was eager to be let down. At NIGHT's bidding, the man tried to summon his weapon to his hand, an action he'd taken countless time but, sadly, nothing happened. "Something's blo
  16. The burning sensation of the Guardian's eyes on his back only grew more oppressive as Koga searched through the brush for more of the medicinal herb. The desire to look over his shoulder at the creature finally overcame him, and the man peered at the massive beast. Bright red eyes. Certainly brighter than they were before. They stared at him. Boring into his body. A shiver shook through his body, unbidden as he stared back at it, unblinking. The antennae on it's head began to warble, shifting against the soft breeze that had caused them to waver before. Almost unnoticeable. A lo
  17. Instead of answer, NIGHT began to look around her. Near frantic as he head swiveled too and fro, but controlled, as always. A couple paces, and then she knelt down and plucked something off the ground before turning and showing it to Koga. I was a pretty little leaf, he thought, though his face did little to betray the notion. Another quiet nod, and the man began to search the area himself. Though he was careful to not lose sight of the path, nor the pale Guardian who's eyes were still fixed on them (had the eyes begun to grow more brightly?), Koga delved a bit deeper into the grove, Okam
  18. Koga had to admit that he was mildly impressed when DAY conjured up a spear of light and slammed it into the ground like some kind of divine warrior. Though he appearance itself was not intimidating, Koga was curious as to what level of skill Cardinal's construct could bring to bear against any foes they might face. He might find out soon, he supposed. With a silent nod, the man followed alongside the two women as they tread carefully into the Grove, the tightly knit trees oppressive in their presence. It would be easy for them to lose their way among the towering wood sentinels, should t
  19. Koga listened as DAY reminded Koga of why they'd first come to Srona to begin with, a fact he'd since forgotten in the chaos that had ensued upon their arrival. She closed her eyes a moment, to do what, the man didn't know, but when she opened her eyes, she gave an almost cryptic answer. "Ylvon?" Koga assumed that was the name of some other nearby town or location, but to what purpose? His answer came soon after as NIGHT marched back to them, zipping up her jacket. "Nothing's ever easy," Koga sighed before looking at DAY. "If you know something, feel free to share," he said. "There's some
  20. A small ding from his HUD alerted Koga to a message. From NIGHT. Well, she was still around at least, somewhere. Though the man wasn't sure about the idea of splitting up, the fact she had chosen to message him instead of making an appearance told him that she had already made the decision for them. He'd adapt. Besides, for now he had his twin-in-appearance to assist. "Sign me up," Koga said, the idea of shooting a giant cannon and blow up some ships making him perhaps a bit more eager than it actually should. "I've missed shooting." The other man then appeared to look over his shoul
  21. It took a moment longer for Koga to also notice the delay in Bismuth and Nari's arrival, so when NIGHT went to peer around the wall's of the Town, he followed, eyes settling on the small scuffle that the other two had found themselves in. It looked like they had it handled though. "They've grown a lot. Quickly," Koga commented passively. More so an observation than any statement on either's abilities. "Remember how long it took us to level even up to their point?" he inquired glancing at NIGHT, then back to the fight, just as Bismuth dodged the boar's attack. "It's a different since Shado
  22. Well...at least Koga knew for certain that NIGHT was okay. Snarky remarks inbound, she was perfectly fine. Koga rolled his eyes, at the woman and crossed his arms. "You're not looking too great there yourself, sunshine," he quipped back before the actual ray of sunshine made it's appearance. A brief nod was all Koga felt was necessary at this point. "Yeah, an inn sounds like a good idea at this point," he agreed. Before NIGHT wandered off to return her bundle of herbs to the village. "We'll be here," the swordsman called after her, watching her go for a moment before turning towards DAY.
  23. "I appreciate the effort to grow," Koga's voice said, coming from the darkness as if it were the cavern itself speaking, his voice reverberating off the walls, all encompassing. It was only the appearance of the glowing red eyes beside Justice that would indicate the Koga had moved. "Advocate it, even. As I do with taking control of one's own fate." The boy would feel a hand gently pushing on his back, guiding him further into the tunnel. "But to what effect?" People tried to change and grow all the time. Perhaps as many that were content with doing nothing and blaming those around them.
  24. k o g a the elder wolf Koga set aside his pencil as a notification pinged into existence in his HUD, the distinctive dinging sound something only he could hear, even if others had been present in his home. Where Yukiro and Tala were, he didn't know. He hardly ever did these days. Not that the man minded terribly, he enjoyed his solitude for the most part. Opening the message, the man gave it a quick read. From Astreya. Help with killing some thing or another. Something that Koga didn't think he had killed before, actually. Koga looked over
  25. Thankfully, Koga missed the rag flying across the room and landing squarely on Gaius' face, although that was most certainly the least concerning thing that had happened tonight. What Koga could not miss, on the other hand, was the towering figure of @Gaius slamming his hand onto Koga's back, forcing the smaller man to stumbled forward a step, almost colliding with @Kasumi in the process. Koga chuckled sheepishly as he heard Gaius' words, an uncomfortable warmth suddenly rising in his ears. "Heh, yeah," the man affirmed with a small nod. He knew exactly what Gaius was trying to do. But he
