  1. Tala shushed Koga. The man just rolled his eyes at his sister. Yeah right...let's see how long that lasts. Not long, knowing Koga. It was clear to Koga that Tala didn't believe him. Koga shook his head and stared onward, knowing that he would probably never be able to convince his sister of anything other than what she already believed. The Kasais were stubborn like that. "I'm starting to hate this quest..." Koga scoffed in an amused manner, "Join the club sis. If it weren't for the pay off, there is no way in hell I would've let you take this quest. But, gotta admit, a Familiar th
  2. "Probably safe to say both big brother, both. You really shouldn't make it easy for me to tease you, but you do." "Thanks, Tala," Koga deadpanned, "I appreciate that...really..." The eye twitch said that Koga did not, in fact, appreciate it. Then she stuck her tongue out, and the whole "At that moment, Tala, knew she'd f'd up" reel played in Koga's mind as he watched her face distort into displeasure. The man couldn't help but chuckle. "Heh...idiot." Tala sighed as she opened her mouth to say something before quickly shutting it. Whatever she was gonna say was lost to the ages as she de

  4. Koga was surprised when a woman walked into the shop and immediately picked up the requests form. "Welcome, hate to say it but the requests are cl-" The woman then explained she'd pay in materials and could provide more if need be...well...in that case, "Uh, well, okay then. Sure. I'll send you a message as soon as they're done. Thanks for the business!" The man wasted no time in getting to work, immediately heading to the back of the shop with his new cache of materials and started up the forge. Best get started. These things weren't going to craft themselves.
  5. "So I'm not the only one poaching a wolf from this floor, sounds about right," Tala said with a smile. "Poaching? Is that what we're calling it now? I thought we were just taming a mob, not selling it on the black market," Koga joked. What? He has to entertain himself somehow. "You make it easy to do and it's fun," Tala commented, earning an uncertain look from her brother. "I don't know if I should be offended, or take that as a compliment..." the man said. Tala looked up at Koga with an offended look. No, like an actually offended, hurt look. Not the usual fake one. "That's a l
  6. "Oh we both know that you just left him behind so that he doesn't freeze to death along with us." "Eh, I dunno about that," Koga admitted, "I think he might've liked to see this floor again. I'm sure you figured this out, but this is the floor I found him on." "See I wasn't going to, but you just went and said it anyways, which just makes it perfect," Tala said with a laugh, and getting a chuckle out of Koga as well. "Damn, you played me," the man said with an amused smile. "Would you believe me if I said that I like him because he's nice to me?" "I would if it weren't you who we
  7. "Now that was just plain mean brother. I mean, I'm not as mean as you for leaving Okami back at the shop," Tala fired back feigning pain. "...That hurts, Tala. That really hurts. And touche." That was a fair point that she'd made... "Only slightly miserable?" Koga asked, clearly suffering himself, "I dunno about you, sis, but I'd rather be by a fire right now. An actual fire, I know you're gonna say, 'oh, but we are fires, look at our last name!' or whatever." "Tell me brother, what do you find so fascinating about your owl?" Koga smirked. Oh, Tala, what a mistake you just made. "Y
  8. Tala laughed as Koga complained about never having good item drops. "Probably as much as it would kill to give me a familiar brother," she said. "And here I was thinking the system was just trying to spare some poor mob from your wrath," the older of the two siblings said, voice dripping with sarcasm. Tala would know he was joking. They were always yanking on each other's legs anyways. "Just our luck for the best floor for this to be covered in snow," Tala said as she leaned into Koga's side. "Anything to make our lives more difficult I suppose," Koga agreed as they walked side by side.
  9. "A bit yeah. Too bad it's crap damage," Tala said after having hit the Fox. "Hey, I couldn't have finished that guy off if you hadn't gotten that chip damage in. Literally. I think that was exactly enough damage to off him." Yes...yes it was Koga. "Bad loot?" Tala asked her brother as she approached with crossed arms. "You know it," her brother said, "would it really kill RNGesus to just let me have one good item drop?" I mean seriously. The best thing this kid has ever gotten was a rare consumable. The Roller has to have it out for him or something. "Why would anyone want to live on
  10. Combat Ends Tala took Koga's hand and the man hoisted his sister to her feet. "I'll feel better if I can manage to get a hit on the fox really," the girl grumbled, whilst pulling her sword from the ground with a little bit of effort. Sure enough, Tala did manage to hit the Fox. "Feel better now?" Koga asked, half sarcastically as he walked up to the Fox to strike it. His sword burned crimson and gave of dark energy as he finished off the critter, Some Col and some Mats. Really? That was it? How come he never got items. Koga let out a disappointed sigh as he sheathed his weapon and turne
  11. In Combat After Tala had gotten back to her feet, she grumbled, per usual, and picked up her weapon. By some miraculous combination of bad luck and lack of spatial awareness, Tala's sword struck the branch of a tree with a hearty thunk! The sword was embedded deep into the branch. Tala let go of her sword and plopped herself onto the ground and crossed her arms with a huff. Koga rolled his eyes to deal with the Fox. "Man, do I gotta do everything around 'ere?" His katana began to glow crimson again as he charged his sword art. The blade took on a dark aura as it arced outwards and
  12. In Combat "I don't think I've ever heard you give up that fast big brother," Tala said brightly. "Don't sound so damn happy about it. There are some things I will never subject myself to, and that is one of them," Koga replied, PTSD flashes of his own long and arduous search for a Familiar flashing through his mind. Instead of answering him, Tala decided to chase after a Fox...which was a poor choice given the fact she face planted in spectacular fashion right after. Brilliant. Koga rolled his eyes as he drew his katana and gave chase to the Fox. His katana began to glow crimson
  13. "Well, fine then. Guess we will just have to see who tames a familiar faster than won't we," Tala fired off, earning a scoff from Koga. "Fine, you win then," the man said, "Took me days to find mine. Total pain in my ass. Worth it. But Christ on a crutch..." "Okay, other than this taking absolutely forever, do you think I can drag you for food afterwards? As a thank you for enduring this terror with me?" "Do you even need to ask, Tala?" Yes. The answer was, and always would be, yes. Food was the quickest way to Koga's heart. And after about 19 years, Tala definitely knew that by now.
  14. Tala chuckled as she spoke, "Oh you know you love me brother dearest." "I dunno that forced familial bonds constitutes love, but okay," Koga retorted with a joking tone. Naw, he loved. He couldn't help it. "Well, isn't that just mean," Tala pouted. "You say that as if you haven't known me your literal entire life." There was the infamous Kasai sarcasm again. Sure enough the two were out into the wilds, snow gently floating down from the sky as they walked. "Hope you're ready for one hell of a slog of a quest. I forget how many times and how long it took me to find my Familiar," K

  16. Right...well, another day in the shop. Koga had this nagging feeling that he'd been wrong now. And the only real way he knew how to handle those kinds of things was by crafting. The man placed another cold ingot into the furnace, and waited. He watched the metal heat up slowly, becoming a white hot block of metal before removing it and hammering. He was wrong wasn't he? The ingot glowed blue before morphing into a perfect piece of heavy armor. Onto the next. Koga was certain of it now...he was wrong. Koga had hardly noticed he'd finished another craft. A perfect sword. At least his requests we
  17. The pair were almost to the teleporter as Tala pinched the bridge of her nose and said, "Have I mentioned I haven't left this floor, like ever?" Queue the biggest facepalm ever from her older sibling. "But! I have one now!" Koga let out a loud groan as he listened to his sister. Sometimes she amazed him. "I feel like there is a story to tell!" Tala responded, which earned only a chuckle from Koga. "Oh, don't worry about it. I wanna see if it happens to you first," the man snickered. Tala was first onto the teleporter, and soon enough she disappeared into a column of bright blue l
  18. "I also hadn't planned on going to the fourth floor brother dearest. It was a spur of the moment invitation to fight the Avalanche. And well.... I was in a damn skirt that day... and no I didn't know the fourth floor was an ice box." "Tala, you have infinite inventory space. You could have equipped a coat!" "Well, you know what they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Koga gave Tala a blank stare. "You realize in this case, I too am an apple..." When the two stepped out of the store to find the Gypsy, as usual, it didn't take too long. "Looks like you need a fam-"

  20. Koga was not in a good mood. He knew Noctua was in right now and had explicitly avoided her side of the shop, making a beeline directly to his forge. The man was practically seething as he haphazardly threw some materials into the furnace and waited for the metal to become workable. As soon as he could the man began to hammer away. Normally work like this would've eased Koga's mind, but right now, it only made him angrier. By the end of the day he'd wasted practically all of his materials on useless crafts. The man practically threw his hammer against the wall of the store before storming back
  21. "Hey, are you trying to say that I don't come and say 'hi' enough? Because if that's the case, I'll start dropping by every hour if I have to." Koga gave his sister a light hearted smile as she teased him. "No, I mean usually if you drop by it's 'cause you want something." "Yeah, learned that lesson once. Skirts and floor four don't mix, at all." Koga looked at his sister blankly, practically stupefied by her. "You're telling me you went to Floor Four...and didn't know what it was?" he said incredulously. "So! Other than the floor being a frozen wasteland that needs a bunch of torche

  23. Back at it again. Koga was getting really sick of trying to craft this thing. The man wasted no time in throwing some materials into the furnace and starting to hammer away. Another rare. Well, it wasn't bad, but not what he wanted. Time to try it again. Oh, two failures in a row? It must really be Koga's lucky day. The man swore as he chucked another material into the furnace, only to pull it out some time later and hammer away. An uncommon. Koga stared at the underwhelming piece of armor, only to chuck to grab it and the rare and threw them onto display out in the storefront. He was just don
  24. Koga was just walking through the streets when he'd noticed a particular store name. 'Pandora's Box' as a man who had some Greek heritage in his family (you'd never guess it), he was slightly intrigued and decided to walk in...Well, the place was a mess...Pandora's Box was a bit literal in this case. "Uhm, hello? I got some things to sell...and to buy...if you have 'em?" Once the shopowner appeared, the man smiled at her and produced the things he needed to sell. A weapon, a trinket, a couple armors. Usual stuff. "And I'll take one TP Crystal, please," he tacked on at the end, already sen
