Thread takes place following the events of Echoes of the Void "Look's like the plan worked," Wulfrin said as his gladiatorial disguise faded. "What do you think Abdullah will think about us crashing his party?" Wulfrin had caught wind that Abdullah, a recurring thorn in his side, was hosting some sort of a gladiatorial tournament. Something about some prized alligator dude that the denizens of Fortaleza were naming The Butcher in The Sands. As it so happened, Wulfrin was looking for a way to ease himself back into action after his recent run in with his Gemini. Freyd had helped him o

"Pardon me," A voice echoed from another player as they passed by. Their gear suggested a frontliner, battle hardened by countless battles. They wore a cowl obscuring most of their features. Most would simply mistake them as the rumored Gemini from Floor 6. "I noticed you seem to be on a first outing of sorts. From the looks of it you're either starting a profession or gathering materials for First Lessons. Either way their collection requirements can be grueling." A small gift box appeared in the player's hand. They simply handed it over before stuffing their hands back into their deep pocket

[PP-F02] The Sword and The Bats | <<Let There Be Light>>
Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
"Stay right here," Wulfrin carefully set Koko down on the ground and got down to eye level with her. With a smile he stood up and drew his blade. "I'm going to go help out my friends and I'll be back okay?" Koko simply nodded sheepishly as Wulfrin turned to the giant bat. Calm and collected as ever, he walked up until he was face to face with the bat, their last obstacle in the quest. Wulfrin glanced at the mob's HP gauge. Based off how quickly it disappeared when he struck the last one and the fact this one was basically only hanging on by a hair, he made the decision to not put forth an -
"Hey Nym," Wulfrin said as he made his way into the humble shop. "Nice place you got here. If it's alright, I'd like to purchase a small trinket off you. Just one that helps boost my searching capabilities." After a brief exchange, Wulfrin handed over the necessary payment of materials and turned to make his way out. "See you around!" Wulfrin smiled. "Let me know if you need help on a quest!" Wulfrin's offer was a sincere one. He was always looking for an opportunity to quest more. He hated going out on solo runs, they always turned out to be rather boring when alone. * * *

Wulfrin quickly swapped from rod to sword, the icy mist of Icingdeath began to slowly pool around his feet as he charged forward, his Florenthian Howl sword art causing a vibrant emerald light to envelope his blade as he closed the distance from the dock to King of Lakes in a fraction of a second. The impact caused the giant walking catfish to stagger a bit as its natural armor became practically non existent. "Alright," Wulfrin said to his little adventuring party. "Freyd. Ciela. Y'all are up. Honey you may want to swing first or Freyd is likely to wipe the beast before you even get a ch

[PP-PT-F14] Stakeholder Meeting of the Vampire Hunting Club
Wulfrin replied to Morningstar's topic in Intermediate Floors
“Feels like Barovia all over again,” Wulfrin shrugged as Morningstar went over the plan. “Let’s just hope Daybreaker can carry us to the end.” Wulfrin watched the brief exchange between Morningstar and Pinball regarding their current situation. As Pin replied and basically disappeared in a puff of smoke, Wulfrin couldn’t help but let off a chuckle. For an orange player, Pin seemed very nonchalant about it. Wulfrin and Morningstar marched side by side up to the tail end of some ongoing conflict. Wulfrin would merely observe as Morningstar took the lead in the conversation. The mention of t -
Wulfrin rushed the dragon once more. He kept low to the ground and as under the beast as he could. Less likely to get munched on that way. It was however, a good way to get stomped into the ground. Luckily it seemed that his companions were taking massive chunks out of the dragon's health bar. The massive amount of DoT that were stacked on it were definitely helping too. Wulfrin slid under the dragon's belly, dragging Icingdeath deep into the dragon. Wulfrin must have hit something vital again, as ice began to creep out of the wound and the boss's dwindling hp bar dropped by another significa

"Indeed it is," Wulfrin agreed with Jomei's sentiment. "She was a near impenetrable wall. When we fought Kumatetsu, I was pretty much just watching as the bear killed itself against her armor and shield. I'm kind of excited in that sense. I get the chance to smack the bear on a more equal ground." He left out the fact that the bear fell quick and the two decided to walk into a dungeon. The dungeon was a Cave of Wonders and it was scaled off of Nari's level, meaning that Wulfrin was a meager tier two player in a dungeon far beyond his paygrade. He hoped to avoid a similar situation this ti

Wulfrin retrieved his line, his fishing trip a less than stellar success. He dismissed the fishing rod to his inventory with the flick of a wrist as he stood and dusted himself off. All things considered, he had brought in a nice collection of items and materials. At the very least they would make some appraiser very happy. Possibly even himself if there was a unique sitting among them. "Glad to hear you're all finished," Wulfrin said with a smile. "Do you remember the way back or should I lead us?" He was more than willing to take a back seat at this point as the quest's completion

"Yep," Wulfrin accepted the handshake. "And thanks for the sentiment. The meeting though was always the plan. At the time I set it all up, I didn't know if I was going to be able to participate, so I used the wedding's feast option as a way to give back to the frontlines a bit. Though I guess I'm doing that with steel now." Wulfrin eyed the violin rapier that Jomei adjusted at his hip. It was familiar to Wulfrin. It took him a moment but he thought back to a handful of days ago that Morningstar had dropped off a rapier and asked him to fuse it together with a stick. He chuckled as he remi

"Fine craftsmanship," Wulfrin mulled over the blades presented to him. "The pure black basically shadow motif is laying it on a bit thick, but given your color scheme and style of combat they fulfil their roles swimmingly. Honestly I really want to see your skill with them over anything else. From what I've heard mastering the use of a katana is no small feat." Wulfrin watched and listened as Freyd gave his speech and packed away their little tea set up. He was soaking up every bit of intel The Whisper was giving him. To him it was all worth while. The mention of Icingdeath being comparab

The trio arrived at the top of the mountain with relative ease. Wulfrin had done it so many times that the climb was basically muscle memory, if you could even call it muscle memory considering they didn't have any physical muscles. The sounds of various monks training in a variety of martial arts. On queue the master made their way towards the trio and introduced themselves with a deep bow. "Welcome back, Wulfrin." The master spoke with a well centered and calm demeanor. "Do you seek to continue your training?" "Yes master," Wulfrin returned the bow with respect. 'I've brought other

"Not really," Wulfrin shrugged as he lay in the grass along the bank of the river. "Seems like the fish just ain't biting today." Wulfrin stared up at the floor above as he waited for something to bite. He wasn't expecting to bring back a huge haul, but he would like to bring home as many as he could. At the very least they would make up some of his lost inventory from all the crafting he was doing as of late. As he began to lose himself in thought, his line went taught. He had hooked another fish. "It's not so bad though," Wulfrin said with a sigh as he moved to reel in his catch. "

"It's an honor to hold the mantle," Wulfrin smiled back as his companion. "I also plan to keep the price low. Showing up on that monument isn't really high on my To-Do list." Speaking with someone who understood his predicament had certainly helped. Wulfrin was already starting to feel more like his old self. His reflection in the river even looked to be in higher spirits. If walking the path of the Gemini for a while would help him figure out more of the ins and outs of Aincrad's functions, then he would face the void in stride. Freyd's blade was looking like it was particularly unused.

"Zachariah isn't that bad..." Wulfrin responded to Nymoria's signing as he watched his bobber dance on the river's waves. "In fact I'd probably argue he is the nicest of the NPCs in this questline." Of course luck was probably the bane of every player that took on this quest. He had seen multiple new players go through the same cycle of grief, it was borderline madness. Every player was at the mercy of Cardinal's random number generator. The best any player could do was skew the odd in their favor a bit. Unfortunately there were some places where even those hard earned boosts can't assist

[PP-PT-F14] Stakeholder Meeting of the Vampire Hunting Club
Wulfrin replied to Morningstar's topic in Intermediate Floors
"'Sup," Wulfrin said as he seemed t materialize from the shadows of a nearby building. "So finally settled on going after Lillith have we? Perfect timing too. The Sword Art we can get at the end of this thing would be helpful in the raid." Wulfrin was starting to look more and more like Freyd everyday. Ever since his rematch with his Gemini, the shadows seemed to be attracted to him. That compounded with the less than friendly appearance of his tattered and worn armor, The Fallen Angel Garb, and the constant icy mist that surrounded him from his blade, Icingdeath, made him look the part o -
"So this is it," Wulfrin sighed as he paced the small staging area he was placed in. "Pit fighting hasn't ever really been my favorite thing, but since the system introduced the new quest I may as well give it a shot." "Are you sure you're ready for this?" A shadowy version of Wulfrin stood arms crossed across the room from him, their feet linked to Wulfrin's via his shadow that danced in the flickering of the torch light. The voice was only present in Wulfrin's mind, but he and his shadow had more and more conversations as of late, a charming side effect of the skill he learned from Frey

Wulfrin knew only two other people on this quest, but if they were willing to accept the orange player, that was good enough for him. He turned his attention to the fight ahead as they ascended the stairs of the tower. Before long they were face to face with the dragon. Believe it or not, dragons are way more terrifying in person. Wulfrin watched as Morningstar, Koga, and Pinball leapt into action. Koga and their Wolf attacked from the front, Morningstar scurried around the back and slashed at what would be the dragon's Achilles heel. Pinball vanished and sent several knives into the dragon's

"You must be Jomei?" Wulfrin said as he emerged from the shadows of the nearby forest. He tossed the other player a pretzel as he made his way to the mouth of the cave. "You mentioned you were needing to start from scratch so I came prepared. The pretzel will help with this one... trust me." The player before him hardly resembled the player Nari would have described. In stark contrast to the red overcoat and upbeat personality was a player who walked as if they were some odd dark quest mob. Their armor was charcoal road leathers under a long and tattered overcoat that was frayed at the ed

Once again Wulfrin found himself at Demian's shop. This time for a restock. He had been doing several quests back to back and had nearly completely burnt through his collection of food stuffs. The exchange was quick and with few words. Wulfrin was on a time table and he intended to keep it. He placed the required payment before the humble cook. Items in hand, Wulfrin turned and left on his way to continue his shopping trip. As he walked off, one could hear him muttering to himself, running through some kind of mental checklist. "Thanks Demian," Wulfrin quickly turned back and waved. "See
