Wulfrin stepped up to the boulder and simply placed a hand on it. There was no effort, no build up, just a simple pat against the boulder, like patting a small dog on the head. The boulder crumbled into a thousand pieces before each piece scattered into even more tiny fractal motes of light. "That's that," Wulfrin said as he dusted his hands. "Shame. Looks like I'm buying dinner. Come on, it's a long trip." As the duo celebrated their victory, the dojo's master approached them. “You have harnessed your inner strength and learned to channel it outward, proving your worth." Maste

[F01 | PP] Don't Fear The Depths | <<The Third Lesson>>
Wulfrin replied to Nymoria's topic in Beginner Floors
Wulfrin simply watched as his companions took turns attempting to catch the fish. Wulfrin knew the problem though; they were fishing in the wrong place. Everyone else had taken a crack at fishing up the prize catch just off the dock in the harbor. Where they were now, there was too much boat traffic and the water was too shallow. Wulfrin chose a different spot at the end of one of the longer docks, with a clear line of sight to the larger body of water. In one swift motion, the bobber and hook soared through the air and landed out in the deeper, more open water. Silence. Wulfrin star -
Wulfrin's fishing trip was interrupted by his current charge. Apparently there was the fear of some beasty encroaching on what was supposed to be an exceptionally safe space. "Stay here," Wulfrin said as he put away his rod. "I'll take a look. Where did you see the movement." His gaze followed Riardon's finger. Cautiously he drew his blade an advanced on the forest around their small clearing. He quickly ran through the possible monsters, wolves, bears, boars, or perhaps some other beastie. They weren't far from where the Nepenthe boss spawned, but they shouldn't be close enough to

With gusto Wulfrin sauntered up to the boulder. He reeled back and lammed his fist into their unmoving target. The resounding THWACK echoed throughout the training grounds. The boulder itself was hanging by a literal sliver of HP. It was so low that if Wulfrin so much as breathed in its vicinity, it would crumble. Either way one of them were sure to crush the object on their next attempt. The boulder stood ready for Ciela to strike it. "It was a wonderful meal," Wulfrin said stepping aside for his companion. "Freyd took myself and a few others to it after we cleared a dungeon I was woefu

[F01 | PP] Don't Fear The Depths | <<The Third Lesson>>
Wulfrin replied to Nymoria's topic in Beginner Floors
That's where Wulfrin recognized her. The signing gave her away as the player Nymoria. She had visited his shop prior to him coming back to floor one to look into finishing the third lesson. As Nymoria waved them off as fine Wulfrin held the other two back briefly to run down what he knew, whilst Nymoria tried her best to carry on a conversation with a fisherman. "The girl's name is Nymoria," Wulfrin said with a calming smile. "She came by my shop a short time ago and got that sabre of hers. Unfortunately I'm not the best at signing so try to take your words slow enough for her to read you -
"To be honest Miryu," Wulfrin said with a sigh as he pulled out his fishing line. "The best case scenario is nothing. Worst case is I find the locations and something jumps out and tries to kill me. Either way I'm hoping that if I can find those locations, assuming they exist in Aincrad, and maybe find an answer as to why you have amnesia." Wulfrin watched his bobber dance across the waves of the swift flowing river. This was a norm for him, fish at river while newbies get their materials found. Usually the trip was a peaceful one, but this time it was different. Wulfrin's mind was consta

[F01 | PP] Don't Fear The Depths | <<The Third Lesson>>
Wulfrin replied to Nymoria's topic in Beginner Floors
Wulfrin had been at the docks for a few hours attempting to fish in a quiet corner. Unfortunately he wasn't having any luck on this one. His other half was off doing a bit of looking around Tolbana for new cooking ingredients. Today they had planned to follow the last lead they had for Dorian's little financial problem. The peacefulness was interrupted by the sounds of sniffling and the fighting of tears. Being the protective and caring person he was he scanned the area, and noticed a female player fighting back tears. "Excuse me miss," Wulfrin approached the player. There was a slight fa -

Sign language was not one of Wulfrin's strengths, but he got the idea. He took a look at the prefilled form and eyed out the details. He did his best to convey a brief message with hand gestures, a salute, a quick hand up as if to say wait or hold, then his first finger signaling the number one. He went to his stock of premade blank weapons and found his few experiments at the slender sabers and returned to his forge, his phoenix begrudgingly leaving its roost in the flames. In but a few moments he returned with the requested weapon. There was one sign he did know, his hand flat like a blade p -

[F28 | R6 Alchemist] Kingsley Tea Company | OPEN
Wulfrin replied to Kingsley's topic in Merchants and Shops
The autumnal vibe of Floor 28 was a new one for Wulfrin. He didn't mind it. In fact he quite welcomed the vibe. The small tea shop only added to the atmosphere. Whoever the shop's owner was, they definitely knew the basics of location, location, location. Wulfrin entered in and found his way to the counter. An older man moved across the back of the shop between various kilns and other brewing apparatuses. "Hello sir," Wulfrin said attempting not to interrupt the busy man. "I'm in need of some alchemical brews. Figured I'd try my hand at the ones flavored like tea, as I'm not the biggest -
Finding himself in need of a couple new trinkets, Wulfrin maneuvered his way back through the Town of Beginnings' West Wing. The goal was The Evening Star, a rather welcoming shop despite the obscured view you receive form the outside. He made his way to the counter where the familiar black cat sat next to the order papers. He had a custom order in mind this time. He was about to fill out his second form when he noticed one trinket caught his eye that fit the order's effect. Not worried about the items specific design, Wulfrin opted for the already built item. "I've got an order for the s

As the trio stepped out of the Town of Beginnings, there was a noticeable streak of fire following above them. After a few hundred feet, the streak of fire descended towards the group. A loud and proud eagle screamed in the air as it rocketed straight towards the swordsman in red. Wulfrin didn't even flinch as the eagle perched on his shoulder and eyed Siraius with deadly intent. In reality the eagle was a phoenix. Wulfrin took notce of the bird's gaze and pulled a small fish from his inventory. That got the flaming bird of prey's attention. "Don't mind Solaris," Wulfrin said as he fed hi

"We've ran a few guilds together in other games," Wulfrin said with a bit of a surprised look. "We've never met offline, so I guess we kind of all know what each other truly looks like." He let out a nervous chuckle. Wulfrin did the honors of getting the formalities out of the way by sending out the party invites. "Alright now that that's out of the way," Wulfrin said pulling up his map for the two of them to see. "If you're looking to get started in SAO, you'll want to take on The First Lessons quest line. It starts in Tolbana, the town closest to the floor labyrinth. Get ready the first

"Oh for sure," Wulfrin said as he munched down on the fries. For almost a count of ten, he went silent. The thought lingered in his mind for way too long and the words felt heavy in his throat. "So I can't do anything about it yet, as I have to wait thirty days before I can edit this place, but it is possible for you to move in properly if you want. There is also an option in the system that may be beneficial to us as well. Should we wish to, there is a marriage system." Wulfrin fell silent after he said the words. He continued to eat his fries slowly and with more caution, unsure if he h

To: Siraius From: Wulfrin Subject: Help Response Say less. I've got the picture. One Tier 3 guide on the way. Meet us by the gate. Marv can keep you company 'til I get there. Wulfrin met Ciela at the front door. "Morning Sleeping Beauty," Wulfrin said in full adventuring attire. "Get your gear on. One of my friends needs a hand getting started. Perfect opportunity to grind Foraging Experience." Without skipping a beat, Wulfrin drug Ciela by the hand to the nearby teleport gate in Coral. With a quick shout of the teleport command the duo

Wulfrin and Ciela made their way back into Urbus from the monastery. They had spent the day tackling hard physical tests, sitting under waterfalls, and best of all, punching a boulder to pieces. The only thing missing was a chance to go home and recuperate after the long day of exercise and effort. Granted the trek down was much easier than up, since the quest allowed you to take a safer, but longer route back down to the city, but that didn't really make up for the day they had. "Well Ciela," Wulfrin said as he held his companion's hand as they traveled the ancient Japanese themed stree

With no hesitation, Wulfrin dug into the sandwich. Like everything Ciela cooked his his rather small kitchen, the sandwich was delicious. He was probably the luckiest man in Aincrad at the moment. He kind of felt bad for making her sleep on the couch, but in reality he had no choice. For one he hadn't planned to have a long term guest when he furnished the place, so there was no additional bedroom. On top of that the system wouldn't allowing him to adjust the floor plan or assign other players benefits until thirty days had past. "This is delicious," Wulfrin complimented the dish through

Wulfrin was busy at his forge early one morning when a message from a player not currently in his friends list. "Well that's odd," Wulfrin said to himself as he finished quenching his current craft. "You aren't supposed to be able to message someone without knowing their username, and the only people that know mine are on my friends list." Then he saw the familiar username. That explained quite a bit. Siraius was his friend from a few other online RPGs. Initially Wulfrin had intended the two of them to tackle Aincrad together, but a combination of conflicting schedules and an admitte

Wulfrin gave a shrill whistle and Solaris came right to him. It seemed the phoenix was out of its slump. Perhaps Ciela's pep talk had sparked something in the flaming eagle. Wulfrin and Solaris resumed their spar with their invisible foe. They moved in near perfect harmony faster and faster with each strike. Solaris became a streak of fire that orbited Wulfrin like an excited electron around the nucleus of an atom. Wulfrin proceeded into a sword art, one of his favorites Horizontal Square. As he came to a stop and the holographic square dissipated, Solaris came to a rest in front of Wulfrin. A

Wulfrin cracked his knuckles as he stepped up to the boulder. With a smirk, he prepared to strike. He briefly saw a moment of him striking off target and instead concentrated on not following through with that motion. In a moment of clarity, a resounding THWACK, he struck true on the boulder. The crack had almost completely encompassed the boulder. It still needed quite a bit more damage for it to completely crumble, but the object would not be much longer for this world. "I know a good steak house on Floor 28," Wulfrin said as he stepped aside for his companion. "In fact Freyd took me th

Wulfrin simply watched his bobber ride up and down along the river's waves. This was the same spot he brought every new player he aided to. It provided a nice secluded spot for him to fish at, while having next to zero hostile mobs to hassle with. It was honestly the safest option he could think of. What surprised Wulfrin was Riardon stating he had found an item just by looking in a tree. "Don't get used to just finding them laying around," Wulfrin cautioned. "I've been to this spot a countless number of times with fresh players like yourself and never have whole items just been laying ar

"Yeah I don't think eagles can do that," Wulfrin sighed. He sat up and pulled out his fishing rod again. Solaris was still being a bit unresponsive at the moment, so he figured a bit more of a break would do him some good. The gentle kiss slightly calmed his growing frustration. He cast his line into the small fishing pond and waited. All the while he watched Solaris fly around the estate grounds and Ciela and Pearlita play together. He felt a tug on the line. No items with the fish this time, but that wasn't the goal anyway. The focus was the skill's exp. He sat and fiddled with the fishing r

His face was in fact redder than usual. Wulfrin quickly recentered himself and prepared to strike the boulder. With little hesitation he brought his fist to bare against his stone faced adversary. Another resounding TWACK echoed throughout the training facility. The crack continued to expand across the boulder's surface. They only had about a third of its HP to go, so it shouldn't take much more. The boulder could definitely take two more punches from himself, but if Ciela could land a critical it might go down faster. Wulfrin stepped away from the boulder having reset his mentality to return
