"Hey Morningstar," Wulfrin greeted his mentor with a smile. "Been trying to power level as best I can since I saw the Lab boss was defeated. With any luck I'll be ready to join up for the Floor Boss Raid. In the mean time though, I'll help in anyway I can to gather resources the needed for the party." He gave a firm salute like a soldier reporting for duty to a commanding officer. His small statured phoenix familiar, Solaris circled in the air above him. "I don't think we've met," Wulfrin held out a hand to the unfamiliar player with jade hair. "Name's Wulfrin. I guess I'm Star's plus one

[PP-F08] That Funky Monkey | <<The Monkey King>>
Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
Having dealt with his rather unfortunate NPC request, Wulfrin returned to his estate. "Sorry about that," Wulfrin said entering the door. He was covered in soot from his forge that he quickly cleared off by swapping around his current wardrobe. "He came by and wanted to add another set of shoes. I don't know how he runs through them so fast. He doesn't go anywhere." Wulfrin knew the answer. It was the system generating a steady stream of business, part of the whole immersion factor of SAO. Wulfrin sat down at his dining table across from Star and began engulfing the burger with reckl -
[PP-F02-Assisted] Teaching Rock Smash | <<Breaking the Unbreakable>>
Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
“Good to see you again, Euled!” Wulfrin stood up and shook the hand of the newbie that had come to his shop a handful of days ago. “Wasn’t expecting you to show up, but I’m glad you did. Based off the weapon you requested, I figured you were trying to solo things. I won’t lie it’s part of what inspired me to post the offer. The skill ya’ll will be getting today helped me out tremendously when I started. Consider it paying it forward from the higher level players that helped me.” Wulfrin turned to the older of their small party of three. “Don’t believe I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you, -
[F22 | Omni-crafter] Sentinel Armaments (Open)
Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Merchants and Shops
"I think I can manage that," Wulfrin said with a smile, setting aside a current project. "It'll be 500 col or 5 materials once I'm all wrapped up. Feel free to wait over there. Great view of the pond over there or the forging process. Take your pick. It'll just be a few minutes." Wulfrin turned to his trunks of unused items that he uses for fusing. He had an assortment of unidentified polearms already in stock so it truly wouldn't take long at all. It was maybe five minutes before Wulfrin returned to the counter with the completed item in tow. "Here you are sir," Wulfrin smiled prese -

[PP-F02] The Sword and The Bats | <<Let There Be Light>>
Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
His two companions now in tow, Wulfrin began to press deeper into the cave network. While yes the immediate threat was eliminated the deeper the group traveled, the more likely they were to find more trouble. His priority list was simple, find the kid, get the other two players out. Ciela should be fine Etherial though, that was unclear. Wulfrin had not witnessed their combat capabilities, and frankly hoped he wouldn't have to. "Koko!" Wulfrin called out then went silent. The main reason was to listen for anything stirring, the second was listening for a response for Koko. Not hearing any -

Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Merchants and Shops
"Alright," Wulfrin replied placing his current project to the side. "Let's see what we're working with." Wulfrin carefully studied the specifications of the player's request. They were hastily written, but detailed enough he could get the gist. The crumpled paper wasn't helping much to the readability either. "I believe I might have this pretty much ready to go already. Grab a seat on that bench over there. It shouldn't be too terribly long." Wulfrin was clever about his waiting area. It had a fantastic view of the nearby fishing pond for those who wanted to experience the tranq -

Having heard rumors that more and more players were getting their feet wet and coming out of hiding since the death game started, as well as the introduction of a new mechanic allowing Wulfrin to reduce his level in exchange for a exp boost to himself and the lower level players, Wulfrin thought it high time to pay an old training ground a visit. The second floor was home to a skill he found extremely useful when he first started his adventure, so he figured why not take the opportunity to help others get it and try out the new system. With a few motions through the menus, Wulfrin watched as h

[PP-23] Shaking Off the Rust, for New Time's Sake <<Slime Conundrum>>
Wulfrin replied to Freyd's topic in Intermediate Floors
The tranquil lakeside air of floor 22 is usually clean and relaxing save for a small blacksmith's shop on its outskirts. Sentinel Armaments was a player owned forge that specialized in crafting or maintaining gear for players of all skill levels. The owner Wulfrin was hard at work trying to keep enough blank items stocked up for his latest scheme of replacing the system given starter equipment with items that gave the fresh players a bit more of an edge. The progress was coming along nicely. Outside of that, the occasional NPC from Coral dropped by and made some odd crafting request, but none -
Wulfrin wasn't about to leave just yet. Wulfrin did a thorough scan of the near by areas in hopes of finding a bit more loot to bring home today, but unfortunately he came up empty handed. Nothing more to claim form the now empty fort, the bandits wasted no time dispersing after their leader was defeated, Wulfrin, Solaris, and Kagamine began the long trip back to Flora. Luckily Wulfrin knew a much more direct path than the one he had taken to get here. He wasn't having to follow anyone else's instructions. That was easily the worst part of this quest, vague directions always were. It took

Wulfrin recovered from the blow dealt to him with a roll. The big sword being swung around by the leader was doing just as Wulfrin had hoped. She was moving slow. Her last attack left just enough of an opening that Wulfrin could exploit to his advantage, but he would need a bit of a safety net in the event that her HP didn't deplete fully. Wulfrin's blade shined with a golden light as he drove the sword into the leader's chest. The Sword Art connected with a tremendous force sending the leader staggering backward. Wulfrin watched as his opponent fell to the ground and shattered into fractal mo

As the two separated after the initial clash, Wulfrin noticed something disappear from his vision. A closer look revealed the cooldown queue had emptied. Solaris let off a bright light over head as Wulfrin began to charge. Wulfrin had also managed to unlock the use of Nova Ascension on his last attack even though it failed to land. Wulfrin let out a sharp whistle call. In a flash, a streak of fire began to hurdle towards the bandit leader. The leader became distracted and Wulfrin saw his opening. "You should pay attention to your proper opponent!" Wulfrin shouted as he unleashed the full

The iron bars closed and locked behind Wulfrin as he stepped out into the sandy battle arena. About 30 feet above him was a multitude of NPC spectators. In one of the noble viewing boxes, Wulfrin picked out a familiar face. Abdullah, the merchant prince that had left such a lasting impression on Wulfrin, that every time he returned to the Floor Wulfrin either went out of his way to be inconspicuous or make it clear how many leagues he was above the guards in the merchant's employ. Abdullah did everything in his power to slow Wulfrin down at every chance he could get. Wulfrin constantly kept hi

Wulfrin's energy continued to climb rapidly. The dank cell was musty and dark, but Solaris was able to keep it somewhat habitable. The cooldown on Solaris's assist was dropping quickly as well. It wouldn't be long before he was at peak performance again. The upcoming battle was for the safety of Flora. Wulfrin had to win. He hated bullies that picked on people weaker than them. It's partly why he had a target on his back from one of the NPCs from Floor 5. "You in the coat," A burly voice snapped Wulfrin back to reality. "The boss is ready for you. Hope you've made piece with your gods."
-
Wulfrin was secretly grateful for the reprieve. His energy was not there to take on the leader right then and there, but once she left with Kagamine in tow, Wulfrin sat on the makeshift bed in the cell. Solaris stamped nervously around the floor of their new cell. At least they weren't separated. Wulfrin sat in silence watching his energy meter slowly climb back up. It wasn't ideal, but he didn't see another way. From the way she presented herself, the leader of the Faultwarren Bandits seemed to have some semblance of honor. It more likely that Wulfrin had stumbled onto some sort of alternate

The Horizontal Square was just what Wulfrin needed. The Cerulean light of his blade filled the vacant halls as Wulfrin danced around his final two targets. With a satisfying pop the remaining bandits burst into a shower of fractal motes of light leaving Wulfrin and Solaris alone in the hall. "Alright Kagamine," Wulfrin said as he began to turn. "Let's get go-" Wulfrin's sentence was cut off by a terrifying sight. The woman that had been torturing Solaris now had a knife to Kagamine's throat. "Now now mister swordsman," The woman smirked. "You have been causing quite the stir in

Wulfrin leapt forward. He needed to put some damage on this near uninjured bandit. His blade became wreathed in a crimson hue and almost seemed to hum like it couldn't wait to sink into the bandit's flesh. Wulfrin unleashed the move that only bosses at this point had survived. Was the strongest single target Sword Art in his possession, Nova Ascension, a bit overkill? Maybe, but Wulfrin had no other choice. The longer he let the battle go on, the worse off he could be. Energy to Wulfrin was expendable, Hp was not. If he could keep his hyper offense moving, he would leave fewer openings for the

Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
"It's not that I forgot to invite him," Wulfrin sighed. "He's just the first person on the invite list we've run into since completing that quest and drained a good chunk of my bank account. Come on, I'll lead the way. We're headed to Floor 22. It's not too far from my shop. You should be familiar with the location since I was the one that put the finishing touches on that blade of yours, Dying Sun if memory serves." As promised Wulfrin led the group to the main warp gate and with the verbal command, the group was whisked away to Coral on Floor 22. The tranquil atmosphere was relaxing hav -
[PP-F05] I hate sand. It's rough, course, and it gets everywhere.
Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
The sandstorm continued to batter their forms as the trio trekked deeper into the desert. It was harsh and visibility was near zero. Wulfrin had come up with some makeshift gear to help mitigate the effects, but Ciela was nowhere near as prepared. They were too far in to turn back, but Wulfrin couldn't help but fear for Ciela's safety. As they continued deeper, Wulfrin stopped abruptly and held out his hand signaling for the others to do the same. He focused on the edge of their vision through his smithing goggles, only able to make out a handful of vaguely humanoid shapes approaching their po -
Wulfrin leapt from the closet as the group of four bandits converged on their hiding spot. Solaris followed suit choosing to focus on his own target. Wulfrin swung Wolf's Bite in a wide arc, its blade wreathed in the vibrant gold of his Meteor Blow Sword Art. Three of the four bandits were left reeling one of which seemed to be nicked more violently causing them to blead a bit more. The bleeding opponent shattered into fractal motes as Wulfrin pivoted quickly to redirect the incoming attack form Solaris's bandit. One down. Wulfrin thought to himself as he readied his next attack. Two tar

"Maybe you could take out their leader," Kagamine suggested. "You seem like you can handle yourself in a fight." "I mean its possible," Wulfrin replied. "The only problem is I have no idea who or where their leader is." "I think their leader was that mean lady." "Could be. She did seem to have a bit more put together than the others." Now Wulfrin's attention had shifted to the end goal. If that was the leader that walked out of the office where they recovered Wulfrin's gear and familiar, Wulfrin couldn't wait for the chance to take her down. She had been hurting Solaris and

Wulfrin was keeping vigilant, but he was starting to become overly cautious. Yeah the bandits were push overs, pretty much everything down this low was, but they were taking more hits than most things did this low in floors. Wulfrin eyed his energy meter in his vision. Ever since he had picked up his Tech shift, his attacks hit a bit harder, but at the same time there was a much larger drain on his energy meter. The bandits weren't completely unskilled. By Wulfrin's estimate, they at least had some bonuses to their accuracy. They weren't just wildly swinging, instead there was the smallest hin

The two parties charged each other. The sounds of the conflict echoed through the stone corridors. Wulfrin effortlessly dodged and blocked the simple attacks the Bandits were throwing at him. His extra skill Concentration was pulling it's weight for sure. Just as Wulfrin's slowed perception of time began to fade, an opening appeared in the bandits' attacks. His blade began to glow a vibrant cerulean blue, as he danced around the bandits with little resistance. As he stood with his back to the combatants, a cerulean holographic square burst out from between the two signalling the completion of

Gear and Familiar retrieved, Wulfrin felt a bit more confident in his ability to get the two of them to safety. Wulfrin drew his longsword and stepped into the cell block corridors. He and Kagamine walked for only a handful of minutes before stumbling on two Bandits. "Hey you ain't supposed to be here!" One of the bandits yelled as they drew a hand axe from their belt. "Yeah the two of you are supposed to be locked up!" The other chimed in, their club readied to attack. "Remember," Wulfrin held his hand out urging Kagamine to take cover. "Stay out of sight and wait for me to dea
