  1. Above the two of them was a ring of fire, created by the flight trail of a red and gold plumed eagle. Not long after the circle of flame appeared, a man approached the pair. He was adorned with a long red coat protected by armor plates on the shoulders and forearms as well as an ornate breast plate, emblazoned on which was a phoenix in flight. At his left side was a longsword. The man didn't appear to be immediately impeded by the cold, but upon a closer inspection one could see his visible discomfort. "There you are," Wulfrin said to Ciela as he approached the group. "I managed to locate
  2. "Nononono," Wulfrin panicked as the words weaseled their way into his mind. His cheeks had gone just about as red as the coat he wore. "She likes to bury her head in books, so she came up with the bright idea to tether herself to me so she doesn't get lost." He took a deep breath and recovered from the sudden and rather embarrassing question. Wulfrin had grown use to Ciela's clever way of reading books on the go. Though he couldn't quite understand how she could read the same five pages over and over again. How did he know the books were short? Simple answer, data storage. Every video gam
  3. "I can tell you are new because of your interaction with the Mayor of Tolbana," Wulfrin chuckled at the teal haired girl. "He only does that to players who are stepping out into the game for the first time. It's essentially the tutorial quest line. There's three parts, gathering, hunting, and looting." Nymoira signed away at his greeting, her words just appearing in his head, compliments of Cardinal. "That's exactly what I'm doing," Wulfrin replied as he made sure to speak clearly and make eye contact with Nymoira so she could read his lips. "It's a little hobby of mine to go fishing
  4. "Damn," Wulfrin said as he read over the message from Freyd. "They must be desperate for fighters if Freyd is reaching out with this much urgency." Wulfrin whistled for Solaris to join him as he exited the forge. He had no idea what was in store for them on Floor 21. He hadn't been there except in passing, as the cavernous floor wasn't to his liking. While he does enjoy caverns, he couldn't see himself living in one. They were too cramped. He made his way into the living room to ensure Ciela had received the message. "You get that message from Freyd?" He asked with a concerned look o
  5. "Thanks love," Wulfrin said as he collected his small tin. "I'll take a look at the contents later. Before I go though, I have more orders to place. I'm basically just going to go step by step until I've got them all. Basically once you finish one order, I'll have another ready for ya." As he dismissed the small tin to his extra dimensional inventory, he retrieved his small hand written list. He crossed an entry off before grabbing another order slip and scribbling on it. This order was less complete, nothing more than the enhancements, tier, and rarity. "I'll let you have creative freedo
  6. Wulfrin found a small table and made himself comfortable. He didn't know how long the older gentleman would need, but he was intent to give him all the time he needed. There was no rush from Wulfrin, as he was still way off from getting everything on his list. It wasn't too long before the gentleman returned from his storeroom, and gave his run down of the items. "Thanks," Wulfrin said with appreciation as he collected the tins. "Nice place you've got here, I'll see if I can't help drive a bit of business to your doorstep." With his items collected, he continued his trek back into the aut
  7. Wulfrin returned back to The Evening Star upon receiving the notification his item was ready. He waited patiently by the cat for the attendant to show up. Upon the receiving of his small enamel lapel pin, he let out a small chuckle. For a small trinket designed with the sole purpose of aiding his fishing ventures when with newbies, it was well crafted. He was especially fond of the inspiration he had chosen, as the resemblance to the old Billy Mouth Bass from his grandparents house, a nice memento of the life he left behind. With his new item in tow, Wulfrin returned to his routine of helping
  8. "It's no big deal," Wulfrin said, making sure he made direct eye contact with Nymoria and that his speech was slow and clear enough that his lips could be effectively read. "Based off Bertha's HP guage, I suspect all of us need to turn in the quest, so I hope you wouldn't mind a bit more company. I also wouldn't worry about Pete's rod. I'm sure he will find it respawned on his person eventually." Wulfrin kept an eye on Pete and as soon as the NPC's back was turned, he ushered their small group out of the vicinity. Sure enough once they cleared the area, Pete Seemed to be back to his usual
  9. The small bell tinkled as Wulfrin entered the small bakery just down the road from his small forge. He made his way to the counter with a list in his hand. Ciela approached with her usual cheerful smile he had grown accustomed to as they had grown closer together. The smells and tastes of her cooking were always fantastic, so Wulfrin figured there was no better place than hers to gather up some items to help his performance in battle. "I've got quite the list for ya," Wulfrin said as he placed his list on the counter. "I know you've been busy with another large project, so I'm not going t
  10. Wulfrin did not expect to be pointed at by another player in the streets of the Town of Beginnings. Especially not on one of his routine trips down to the floor to fish, and see if any newbies were attempting to take their first steps into Aincrad. Today, in the gentle rain that had befallen the starting city of Sword Art Online, Dorian was actually present removing the need to travel to Tolbana until going to Zachariah's place. He was jest in his usual combat gear of a red long coat with armor plates on his shoulders and forearms, a longsword hanging off his belt on his left side. As the conv
  11. "Yep," Wulfrin said as he double checked his gear. "I just figured this would be an easier place to meet up because landmark in the main settlement. Now that you're here we can get this ball rolling." * * * The trio arrived in Florenthia after a rather calming walk through the elvish forests of Floor 8. Here the scene was much more tranquil, treants and elves living in harmony. last Wulfrin had heard the two races had some kind of blood feud that lead to a nasty ongoing war. As they made their way through the village, whispers began to emanate from the NPC inhabitants. Handfuls of de
  12. The Monkey King Wulfrin was wrapping up in the forge early in the morning. Having spent a couple days of downtime, he figured it was about time he went after his next big goal. That goal was in direct correlation with the next big decision he had to make for his current playstyle, his combat shift. He had spent plenty of time theory crafting various possibilities, but one thing he kept coming to was his lack of additional damage on his attacks. His bleed enhancements have become his current source of additional damage, but often proved unreliable in combat. Solaris was now combat ready so
  13. "Sounds like we're in," Wulfrin said with a smile to the lower level player that had approached them. "Names Wulfrin and this is KnightessCiela. Most people just call her Ciela, since her username can sometimes be a mouthful in combat." Wulfrin was confident in his level. Being this low on Aincrad meant that if even so much as sneezed the wrong way, most mobs would die without much effort. The only exception being the ones the system specifically crafted to fight him when he goes out looting. This Floor so far had not posed any danger at all to him, but he had also not done any quests her
  14. Wulfrin stepped up to the boulder and simply placed a hand on it. There was no effort, no build up, just a simple pat against the boulder, like patting a small dog on the head. The boulder crumbled into a thousand pieces before each piece scattered into even more tiny fractal motes of light. "That's that," Wulfrin said as he dusted his hands. "Shame. Looks like I'm buying dinner. Come on, it's a long trip." As the duo celebrated their victory, the dojo's master approached them. “You have harnessed your inner strength and learned to channel it outward, proving your worth." Maste
  15. Wulfrin simply watched as his companions took turns attempting to catch the fish. Wulfrin knew the problem though; they were fishing in the wrong place. Everyone else had taken a crack at fishing up the prize catch just off the dock in the harbor. Where they were now, there was too much boat traffic and the water was too shallow. Wulfrin chose a different spot at the end of one of the longer docks, with a clear line of sight to the larger body of water. In one swift motion, the bobber and hook soared through the air and landed out in the deeper, more open water. Silence. Wulfrin star
  16. Wulfrin's fishing trip was interrupted by his current charge. Apparently there was the fear of some beasty encroaching on what was supposed to be an exceptionally safe space. "Stay here," Wulfrin said as he put away his rod. "I'll take a look. Where did you see the movement." His gaze followed Riardon's finger. Cautiously he drew his blade an advanced on the forest around their small clearing. He quickly ran through the possible monsters, wolves, bears, boars, or perhaps some other beastie. They weren't far from where the Nepenthe boss spawned, but they shouldn't be close enough to
  17. With gusto Wulfrin sauntered up to the boulder. He reeled back and lammed his fist into their unmoving target. The resounding THWACK echoed throughout the training grounds. The boulder itself was hanging by a literal sliver of HP. It was so low that if Wulfrin so much as breathed in its vicinity, it would crumble. Either way one of them were sure to crush the object on their next attempt. The boulder stood ready for Ciela to strike it. "It was a wonderful meal," Wulfrin said stepping aside for his companion. "Freyd took myself and a few others to it after we cleared a dungeon I was woefu
  18. That's where Wulfrin recognized her. The signing gave her away as the player Nymoria. She had visited his shop prior to him coming back to floor one to look into finishing the third lesson. As Nymoria waved them off as fine Wulfrin held the other two back briefly to run down what he knew, whilst Nymoria tried her best to carry on a conversation with a fisherman. "The girl's name is Nymoria," Wulfrin said with a calming smile. "She came by my shop a short time ago and got that sabre of hers. Unfortunately I'm not the best at signing so try to take your words slow enough for her to read you
  19. "To be honest Miryu," Wulfrin said with a sigh as he pulled out his fishing line. "The best case scenario is nothing. Worst case is I find the locations and something jumps out and tries to kill me. Either way I'm hoping that if I can find those locations, assuming they exist in Aincrad, and maybe find an answer as to why you have amnesia." Wulfrin watched his bobber dance across the waves of the swift flowing river. This was a norm for him, fish at river while newbies get their materials found. Usually the trip was a peaceful one, but this time it was different. Wulfrin's mind was consta

  21. Wulfrin had been at the docks for a few hours attempting to fish in a quiet corner. Unfortunately he wasn't having any luck on this one. His other half was off doing a bit of looking around Tolbana for new cooking ingredients. Today they had planned to follow the last lead they had for Dorian's little financial problem. The peacefulness was interrupted by the sounds of sniffling and the fighting of tears. Being the protective and caring person he was he scanned the area, and noticed a female player fighting back tears. "Excuse me miss," Wulfrin approached the player. There was a slight fa
  22. Sign language was not one of Wulfrin's strengths, but he got the idea. He took a look at the prefilled form and eyed out the details. He did his best to convey a brief message with hand gestures, a salute, a quick hand up as if to say wait or hold, then his first finger signaling the number one. He went to his stock of premade blank weapons and found his few experiments at the slender sabers and returned to his forge, his phoenix begrudgingly leaving its roost in the flames. In but a few moments he returned with the requested weapon. There was one sign he did know, his hand flat like a blade p

  24. The autumnal vibe of Floor 28 was a new one for Wulfrin. He didn't mind it. In fact he quite welcomed the vibe. The small tea shop only added to the atmosphere. Whoever the shop's owner was, they definitely knew the basics of location, location, location. Wulfrin entered in and found his way to the counter. An older man moved across the back of the shop between various kilns and other brewing apparatuses. "Hello sir," Wulfrin said attempting not to interrupt the busy man. "I'm in need of some alchemical brews. Figured I'd try my hand at the ones flavored like tea, as I'm not the biggest
  25. Finding himself in need of a couple new trinkets, Wulfrin maneuvered his way back through the Town of Beginnings' West Wing. The goal was The Evening Star, a rather welcoming shop despite the obscured view you receive form the outside. He made his way to the counter where the familiar black cat sat next to the order papers. He had a custom order in mind this time. He was about to fill out his second form when he noticed one trinket caught his eye that fit the order's effect. Not worried about the items specific design, Wulfrin opted for the already built item. "I've got an order for the s
