Evander was tense, gripping his sword hard enough to see the whites of his hands. Yeah, he knew that nothing should go wrong, but he was still nervous. Xion continued to tank the hits from the wolves. His defense was nullifying most of the damage, but he would still probably have to heal some time soon. After someone dispatched the wolves, more came out. And more. And even more. That was practically an army of wolves by now. There were, what, about twelve? Whoa, that was a bunch. The stronger players began to target Lyrica herself, bringing down her HP by quite a bit. However, due to his horrible damage output, he wouldn't even be able to do much, so he should probably focus on the gathering army of wolves. And, in what felt like seconds, his group was up again. Stentorius managed to not make a fool out of himself this time, though he did barely anything. Xion let off another blood-curdling howl. Seul ran forth to damage Lyrica. And, now, it was time for him. Evander ran forward to slash at the wolves, hoping to do at least something, but he missed. At quite possibly the most pivotal moment of his life thus far, he missed. He missed a whole crowd of wolves. Great. Evander drew back in shame to avoid getting bitten. ID: 58860 BD: 1 MD: 2 As the blows continued to land in solid bunches from the players Lyrica grew steadily more and more enraged. Who did these insects think they were? Did they think they could stand before her might and authority? Pathetic mortals, their insolence would be severely punished. Bounding up to Xion, who still seemed to be throwing mating howls at her, the white werewolf's eyes dilated completely from red to a black darker than the night. Wrapping one clawed hand into the blonde man's half-cloak, she hoisted him effortlessly from the ground. Lowering her face until her snout was nose to nose with Xion, Lyrica threw her head back again and howled. Obediently, another pack of four white timber wolves spawned, bringing the total number of her army up to sixteen. With Lyrica herself, they now almost matched the players in terms of sheer numbers. Drawing her arm back, she flung the tank away from her and moved to lead her troops into battle. Hydra 0 Posted May 12, 2016 #63 Report Share Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) Hydra's blurry vision slowly came into focus as he opened his eyes to see the moonlight breaking through the forests cover. All he could hear was the clashing of steel, the howls of terror, snarling, people shouting. "Urgh... my head." He sat up and rubbed the spot of his face that had hit the floor hard. Glancing around still dizzy he looked across the newly formed battlefield. Players could be seen darting around all over the place, some seemed focused on the incredibly large pack that had emerged whilst others were attacking the creature that was clearly the queen of the pack. Hydra sat and watched for a few moments, it was currently towering above one of the most powerful players on the excursion. She seemed to pick him up and launch him with ease. At that was when he saw it, the perfect opportunity. The battle must have moved on from his original position, right now he was masked by the forest. The werewolf turned around and started heading towards the large pack. "Dammit, I always liked wolves..." He let out a sigh and slowly stumbled to his feet. A rogue wind rushed through the forest and for a brief moment there was silence, and then Hydra burst out into a sprint charging towards the canine. Unsure of what to say the spearman simply let the silence of the night carry his movement. He had reached his target quite quickly and in a blur he circled around Lyrica, the first two blows of his spear went in her hind legs, then four more pierced her stomach. Aiming even higher, two more thrusts went into her voice box. Finally using the moment of his movement the spearman ripped an opening in her upper chest and sent his last hit sailing through the beasts heart, or at least where he believed it to be. Staggering backwards from the intense movement, Hydra propped himself up against a tree and gave one last look at Lyrica "You should have let me join your pack..." He said with a drained expression on his face before collapsing to the floor with a thud from having expended over half his energy in a single move. Charging his Sword Art <Lightning Axe>, Nikodemus launched himself forward. His blade had taken on a sickly emerald green color, and burned through the air as it traveled. Slamming his blade into the side of the <<White Wolf>>, it sliced through the beasts hide in a zagging pattern, and then turned it into pixels as the blade left through the other side. Turning himself, he lifted his shield and prepared for any attacks from other wolves. Looking to Hydra, tried to see who had come out on top. Seeing Hydra, Nikodemus wondered if Lyrica had been downed. Running to his friend, he patted the spearman on the shoulder. "Did you slay the beast?" @Hakai is up! Luckily Lyrica was dead, but the wolves that she had summoned remained, unlike what Hakai had heard from frontliners. Usually when a boss died it's minions dissapeared too. The 'The Uppercut' causing it the howl out and pause in pain after beign smacked as she smirked and clapped her hands together. "Yeah that is right eat that ya dumb pup!" ID: 58874 BD: 10 (+2 DMG) With the defeat of the white werewolf baroness, Lyrica, who fell at the hands of Hydra her wolf army was whipped into a frenzy. Without the guidance of their leader the wolves initially dispersed from a packed together group and rampaged through all of the remaining players, growling and occasionally snapping at the heels of a few of them. Suddenly, the game engine reasserted itself. As one, every remaining white timber wolf locked its eyes on Xion, blood dripping from their canines. En masse, the wolves descended on Xion who was rapidly buried beneath an enormous pile of wolves, each of them biting and clawing at the tank. The players may have taken down their leader, but the wolves had every intention of taking down Xion even as his enchanted armor killed two of them. If he made one mistake it could cause a chain reaction, though at this point it seemed they were beyond error. Someone had taken his normal role as Tank, his healing was too weak at the moment to be of any help, so his only choice was to attack. It saddened him that this boss had followed Hate rules, while it was fortunate and ended the fight rather swiftly. (at least for the big wolf) It was kind of a bore to him. His mentor had told him about many enemies that surpassed those kind of restrictions, making their attacks random and dangerous. "Hmm?" Noticing the boss's defeat Takneil swiftly drew his sword from the ground. "Come on!, let's try to end them quickly so they don't do to much damage!" he yelled to his small squad of player's. Launching forward the Eternal Knight wasted no time in attacking the enemies, pivoting his foot he smirked as the shining white light from his sword confirmed his success in the action. Careful not to hit the Tank, The boy swiftly sliced through four of the wolves. "Come on guys!, only a few more remain." he called in an attempt to boost morale. The efforts somehow seemed a lot more coordinated and the sequence of events smoother than in a floor boss raid. It was obvious that even though the majority of these players were low levels, it wouldnt be long before they were up at the boss fights with her. In fact, the teamwork going on here was so much more fluid than on the frontlines that she almost wondered if, with this much coordination, the lower levels could beat a floor boss on their own. She looked over to their main tank, keeping an eye on his health bar. He was doing well, but better to be safe than sorry. She rushed over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, activating her first aid skill and healing him for the majority of his HP. If only she had her glove, than she could have healed him all the way... It wasnt a big deal though. The remaining wolves werent all that strong and nothing back would come of it. Even though this group only got together recently and had no time to prepare any strategies, this fight felt seamless. The tank took all the focus, while everyone else did the damage. People kept the boss occupied with cc, while the other people killed off the smaller wolves. This fight felt flawless. Now, it was time to join them again. The wanderer spotted a straggling wolf fairly distant from the rest of his pack. It seems like the wolf seems to be already injured and stunned. The wanderer slowly walked up to it and raised his blade high in the air. Then in one stab, the wolf breaks into many pixels. He could not believe that he did not take even a single point of damage in the whole fight, and only their main tanker in the whole hunting party took the brunt of the damage meant for the others. Even without a solid plan, and coordination all the players within the group worked well together. Lyrica and some her wolf minions have been pixelated, the rest will soon follow. While, the rest of the players carried out their attacks, Khrysaor was getting himself psyched up for round two. When he noticed Rain attack he knew his turn has come at last, and made sure to ready his sword as it started to shine blue. Khrysaor ran towards 4 of the closest wolves to him and activated his sword art <<Fell Crescent>> and cut up the four wolves in just few seconds. While, he cut them he noticed his swords extra ability <<Bleed>> come into play again. Khrysaor made sure to not let his guard down after his attack, knowing he could be in big trouble if he gets hit, even if were from some of Lyrica's minions. Upon seeing Lyrica being slain, the blonde had to battle tears. The game made everything so real, except luckily, there was no bloodshed and instead they all witnessed an explosion of blue crystals. While the sapphire-emerald eyed girl contemplated her moves, she noticed that others had already begun destroying the army of wild canines Lyrica's death had unleashed. Once again she swung her sword and once again the results were dismal. Mortified, she retreated into the crowd, sincerely hoping she didn't have to do try like this again. She certainly wasn't going to be of much use to them any more they needed DPS and she couldn't do it while others were tanking hits. As she began to sprint off though she blinked a bit startled now sprinting after her, "Hey are you ok? Hey wait up now don't go off on your own without me after all it is best to get lost together and not alone!" The pink haired maiden now chasing after the blonde. Herushed towards a wolf and slashed it's side. He returned to a safe place and surveyed the battlefield. It seemed like things were moving along rather smoothly. Suddenly, as if drawn by some mysterious and unknown power, all of their eyes snapped around to lock onto Xion once more. His allies' safety is above all else, even if victory is achieved. The wolves can still cause major problems to the party, especially for low leveled players who are vulnerable to the wolves. One bite would quickly led to their demise, and Husky dare not to risk it, even if he had a clear open for an attack. "The others can take care of the pack. All I need to do is to keep an eye out for everyone else." He told himself, positioned him in between of the wolves, and the other low level players. Any fear or worry he had was washing away, they had the wolves at the disadvantage and so he was eager to take at least on kill from the pack for himself. He noted his fellow group member taking a defensive stance to which Shirien simply shrugged and charged ahead into the shrinking pack. Holding his dagger ready he prepared a sword art and grinned when a wolf took note of him. As it charged towards the hooded player he triggered the attack and sliced twice through the wolf's sides! A sense of contentment filled him when the wolf shattered apart into nothing and left him unscathed. He wasn't expecting a leaderboard entry, but he did his part and was proud of it! "Your turn..." On one side I was glad that other players did the work for me and slayed the 'alpha' wolf that controlled the pack. But still, another part of me longed and was disappointed NOT to end her life my hands. I cursed myself for my inability for crowd control or damage dealing. Still the main 'villain' has been removed from the picture so there was little to no reason for me to be worried. I decided, out of my own free will not because of some 'roll'(twist) of fate, not to act.
