The soft clatter of his heel, the rhythmic clicking upon stone. A crimson red robe swaying with every step, at his back a parade of guild members that had proven their worth and capability. With a raid on the horizon and the promise of strength held within, Raidou's intentions were clear. There would be a slaughter before the day was through, a necessary requirement to bolster their ranks just that much further and provide just one more edge to reduce risk.

"It's through here." Raidou quips back to the party, a routine gathering of faces he'd more than become accustomed. Evidently this was a grand scale maze, one he'd been on a few times, but it was always a variable shit show to be on this floor. "Best be on guard, this is no playground." Taking point, that lingering red fumes bleeding off him to draw the first of whatever ire was needed.

Following suit readjusting her new armor, this was the beginning of something great. The next floor battle was coming sooner rather than later and from everything that has happened these last few days, she was ready, Firm Anima was ready. Just a few more things to grab before the big day and unfortunately it was on a floor that she had never set foot on before. She knew that with the team set, though, they would all come out alive. Taking something from Freya, as she passed something back to the others in the group. Raidou was the lead on this one, but she would give all the support that she could to help keep the moral up in the group. Taking out her sword and shield now, a small icon on back of the shield and the hilt of her weapon. "What the..." she whispers under her breath as she began to walk along side of Raidou.

The black cat strolls with that same sway, keeping pace and an eye on Shiina. This was definitely the sort of place she'd have to worry about losing the girl in. A massive structure of stone, blotting out the sky with its expanse. "Intriguing, wonder what is hidden behind those walls?" She remarks, drawing a long finger along the wall, a bit of soot clams up her fingertip. Rubbing them together, she brandishes a rapier she may just yet have under control. Battle was ideal for honing one's skills, and after that last foray, she had more than her fair share of experience. There was a strange mix of laziness and interest, they always brought her to the most exquisite and possibly deadly places. But she could hold her own, and was more than willing to walk these walls with the rest. Couldn't be as bad as all they had faced up to this point, right?

Holding her improved weapon on her over her right shoulder for balance. It was the same weight as before but the energy that she felt from it was way different when she used it just the other day. She was excited to see what wrath it would bring to the creatures that lay within this darken Labyrinth that she had only read about in Raidou's book. Glancing to the others around her, the ones that would be facing the biggest fight of their lives. She knew that this was going to be a tough one as well, but the floor raid was going to be worse. Something was suddenly handed to her from the group walking forward. Stuffing it in her face quickly as she continues to walk. They were all stashed out with new equipment that would make them more powerful than ever. This was all so exhilarating, but so scary at the same time. It would all be okay though.

Popping her lips and skipping rather nonchalantly through the death trap filled with angry death. "What we lookin' for anywho?" she quips toward the group that looked to be doing their best remain silent. Fiddling with the tracking chalk she had been given, she began drawing all manner of pictures on the walls. Some were harmless, others were absolutely obscene. Once the rest of the party began to move on too far ahead, the songstress presses the utensil against the wall and just drags it alongside her. This creates a swaying, wavy mess of yellowish shade, like a makeshift ocean. Blinking twice before leaning back trying to see the top. "This crap is huge." Cupping her eyes with her offhand, she falls on her butt trying to catch the top. A single bird slams headfirst into the labyrinth wall and falls like a stone. Not even the animals saw this one coming.

A twist of her weapon with a little extra twirl before laying it against her right side. A little trick that she had learned from her lover. She could feel her eyes shift ever so slightly as the darkness around her like up. Helping Shiina up as she falls on her ass. A smile as she whispers, "Keep drawing, it will help know where we've been. Keep up though, okay." She would walk behind Shiina now keeping her going and not losing her. She was wondering if she was the only one that could see in this darkness. She was sure that it didn't matter much because they were all following Raidou redness mist that was coming off his robe. They would be okay in her. She was not worried with this group. Yeah, she would prefer to be with Gaius, but she knew damn well that she was safe either way. She would do her best to make him proud.

A sudden overcast shadow looms overhead, the way to the prospective tower easily spotted by a man who had traveled floor after floor in isolation. He was well versed in discovering and navigating, new or not. "There." Raidou shifts his attention upward, a single set of giant wings. Correcting his lenses, and holding them in place, he rips his right hand out in front of him. "Bring him to me, Juiblex!" A writhing mass of black ooze forms a coiling and winding tether in black. Grappling like a vice around one wing sees the thing spiral and slam into its own tower, the cascade of rubble and an accenting earthquake. Slithering away from the beast as it begins to rise.

One feral bellow that rattles the eardrums of every member of the party. There would be no escape if they did not put it down, but they would fight it on their terms. Drawing a blade from his back in silver, a fog of red begins to emanate out from him. "No hesitation, no risk. Fight as one, and bury it." The glimmer plays on his blade as he sets up his bulwark, ready for the counter.

Low-Light Penalty in effect [-1 ACC]

First to move in as the the dragon crashes to the ground. Juiblex had to be his familiar but it was unlike one that she had ever seen before. Eruda was learning something new about Raidou everyday and it was nice. The sound of the roar pierces her ears but she moves forward shaking it off. She would not let something as simple as that hold her back. Taking her blade and scraping it down word against her shield like she always did, this time was different though. An explosion of blue vivarant flames in every direction, much large than before. Glancing down at the icons that made them selves know very well given the blast radius. Glowing softly in unison, Eruda smile, you sneaky goose she think about her father and how he had planning this all along. He had to of... Rearing her shield back with an art that she had yet to use, as she smashes the creatures face. The large thing just looks at her... She will have to figure out that sword art.

Blinding toward the massive creature, a mythril point surcharged in violet shade. It connects, but is glanced off without even the slightest puncture. "Oh my..." Simmone quips beneath belated breath, there wasn't even a damn scratch on it. Scampering back with a few backpedaling steps. "I don't believe, that did anything other than make it angry." The next of their group was already moving to close the gap, while Simmone was still riddled with skill stasis. Hopefully they'd find some way through this tough black hide, or this was going to go nowhere fast. Her saber starts to glow again as she pools more of her stamina into it, as she tosses a small stone into the center. Shiina perks up and waddles her butt right into the fray. Coming in right behind Simmone, "I feel like you have to hit this one with more force like this," as she raised her weapon above her head and swings downward. It bounces off his scales with "BINK." The Dragon turns his head and lowers his face to hers. A huff from his nose makes Sam's hair blow behind her shoulders. Right then it opens it's mouth and roars right in her face sending slobber her way covering her from head to toe. "GROSS," she yells out as she backs away from the filthy creature. She began to wipe of the goop the filled her face. She should have vanished, but she didn't think that it was a good idea at the time. Now she was having major doubts about it. "We aren't doing anything to this damn thing..." she calls out. Looking to Shiina who was in the corner, she begins to get up from the ground that she sat on. Maybe she would have better luck...

A few simple steps into the belly of the beast, and most of the group just seemed to be glancing off the beast. Shiina starts to hum, a flash of light echoes out from the girl in an elegant display. A ring with some strange shapes forms on the ground, her hair begins to flutter. "Ya'll are suckin'. Let me fix." Raising her hands in a claw like embrace in front of her, sees the dragon slow down just ever so slightly. "Now give it a shot!" Shiina exudes with a hyperactive thumbs up flashed with both hands like the fonze. She then begins to wander, the ring painted below her, following her as she was its nexus. This looked to be going to hell in a hand basket rather quickly, but at least they were still alive or whatever. She once again looks into the sky, barely able to make it out over the massive hunk of leather and teeth. Another bird... and as the songstress tracks it. BLAM, again into a wall.

Freya glares at her team as black mist illuminate from her form. "FOCUS, stop fucking around." Freya right then darts forward past the group. Taking a deep breath as something shifted inside of her. It was the same feeling that she had when Tuatha was present. As she slides and pivots her footing she goes to swing but then a change of course takes her Scythe as it turns and swings the other direction. Carving a gash within the dragons neck it pulls back quickly with a almost whimper in tone. That same eery chuckle edges through her lips with a female demeanor, it was her. As you can see a duplication shadow figure of her frame standing right next the her, mimicking her every movement. A large claw comes up to swipe at Freya as she side steps easily out of the way. She seemed to be the only one beside her sister and Raidou, and oddly Shiina that gave a damn about what was going on. Treating it like it was no threat. It pissed her off. Her weapon bled that same mist that she was as she watched the creature carefully.

In the sudden burst of red, the eyes of the massive matriarch begin to gloss over in white as the pupil vanishes. What is left is blindness, for all but the swordsman in red. The intensity shared between the two, as Raidou stood off against the beast. It lunges and lifts a heavy talon filled appendage. It slams against him with surprising ferocity, causing his robe to flail about aggressively under the wind pressure. But he stands strong, the light show and the slight shaking of an outstretched hand. He was matching its strength with his own. "Lay it to waste, now is not the time for hesitation." He backlashes with the Ebon Vanguard and swipes, forcing the beast's retreat. A small tethering line from him to the creature, the bond of fate had been formed. All that was left was to consume the heart of this creature. It raises its shoulders, and begins to circle. The others now unknown to it.

It wanted blood.

She had looked away for less than a minute and the two of them were making this seem like a joke. "Work as one Firm Anima. Now is not the time to revert back to the old ways. We have come to far and been through to much to do just that." A turn to the others that would see her eyes flare up. Quickly glancing to shield, she needed to figure out how this combo worked and fast. New mechanics and new arts, a lot to figure out. Eruda was determined to get it right. Placing the edge against the ends metal and carving down, harder than before. Sparks fly in every direction before flame once again burst in every direction but this time it hit the large mystical creature and hard. As the scale of his body set to blue flame, it finds a shield against it's shoulder blade stumbling back from the pure impact of the unknown blow. The large figure cries out in pain as his scales start to burn off its flesh. "Sam, use what you learned from Monkey King, Simmone find a weak point and strike hard. I believe in you, all of you." Her attention shifts back to the creature in front of them who was trying to put the flames out with no success as it began to spread up his body. Raidou had it's attention, she would create that opening for the others.

A detonation of blue flames, a softer spot within its armor. Simmone lances within that gap, pinpoint accuracy as that rapier is driven in like a needle. Damage dealt, a booted heel pressed against the target and the weapon ripped out rather quickly. "It's not much, but it seems to be working." Simmone quips with just a bit of concern at their ability to actually take this thing down. It seemed that whatever Shiina was doing was giving them some edge, where attacks were failing before they seemed to be working now. The simple disconnect and for once the black cat was actually moving faster than a graceful walk. "Sam, its on you." Simmone quips her right-hand painting in gold light, which shared a contrast with the violet colored saber in the adjacent hand. It was charging for another swing, hoping that perhaps she could do something to this thing and help the group put it down, but her optimism was fading.

Hearing Eruda, Raidou, and Freya, they were all getting serious. Sam takes a deep breath and starts to focus now. They were right and now was the time to be smart. It was way to much of a dangerous situation to be anything but that right now. "Sorry," she says with simple nod toward Simmone as her eyes dart to the large creature before them, looking for a spot that has already been hit once before. Finding her target with a swift pull of her Axe as she carves deep within the scales. You could hear and see the armor break down right in front of them. Sam jumps back quickly as a maw was heading in her direction, right after a clawed hand as she shifts back and forth as to not be touched. From here on out she would stay focused on the fight. There was no time for her to undermine her own abilities. No now or ever, she was strong and she had to start believing in herself as much as everyone did in her.

Rally CD [1/3]

The wave of energy shifts, as the songstress looks at the rest of the group in one quick sweep. "Oh boy, here we go!" She yelps out with a transition of the tone of the song, the tempo shifting as she causes the stone Simmone dropped to shatter. Like another track from an entirely different genre, it begins to meld into the currently produced sound. At first it doesn't mix well, but eventually begins to line up and little Shiina rips her hands out in front of her and clenches them. "Battlefield Overture: Dramatic Encore" The words spoken trigger some pulse of power, as the ring shifts from its soft blue to a violent red, it locks in place after a turn, casting a mix of different sized symbols on the floor. Two effects in place, and a couple more to go. Weapons around the arena begin to hum with power, glowing brightly in the shades of the owners sword arts in a parade of rainbow like lights.

Her anger started to subside as she saw the others starting to take this more seriously. She could feel power building within her as she starts to activate a charge. As she began to run the distance that she created just for this instance she felt something pulse as she suddenly was just at the creature not sure how she had got there so quickly. Deciding to not question what was going on to fast for her liking, she swings her Scythe as it bleeds out black oozed mist with some red content in the mix. Carving deep within the wounds that took place, as blue flame continue to rise down its back. A mimicked shadow falls from her back as it strikes twice in unison with Freya. In the same instance, it was gone as the dragon rears up in pain, stumbling back away from the twins. A sinister chuckle comes from Freya, it was hers. It was only a part of what she had gotten from him and it was only the beginning. A glance to Shiina with a wide grin painted across her face.

Focused Howl CD [1/4]

Slam after slam into Raidou's blade, the thing was very clear on what it wanted to kill. Sparks fly after every successive blow, and Shiina is caught in the crossfire. A single glare over the red wanderer's shoulder sees her drop like a sack of loosely collected grains. Raidou recoils and pushes it back, as the others swing away and begin to actually start leaving a dent. This was much more the speed they needed, a silent stare past his shoulder toward Eruda who could offer the voice of reason. His glasses gleam in the somber lighting, the blade the same. Ripping it up and holding fast against the tyrannical monarch, Raidou would have to keep strong to see this through. If he was blade locked with the beast until it expired, it would keep her from dealing any real harm to his charges. Such was the way of a tank, as taught by Nikki Styx.

Seeing Raidou and the dragon lock together, no one was seeming to get anywhere. Something had to give, and she was not going to give up hope. Time and time again they have fought a sea of different enemies and this time was going to be no different. They would win no matter what. As she attempts to bash her shield against the shoulder once more, her flames on her shield burn out. A small huff as she turns to the group. "This is only a fragment of what the next floor boss will have to offer. The odds will be stacked against us and there will be issues like now. Keep at it and stay strong, work together and we will get through this." Her face was more serious than it has ever been and every word spoken was from pure faith. This will end the way they want but not how they expected...

Dragon’s Scales: The Matriarch’s scales protect it, not allowing its MIT to drop below 110.
Pureblood: The boss is immune to Hypnosis, Lullaby, Misperception, Paralysis, Freeze as well as the Familiar’s Grappling Skill.
Tail Swipe: When rolling MD 9-10, the Matriarch will use its tail as a whip to attack all of the party, dealing 120 unmitigatable damage and lower everyone’s energy by 10.
Piercing Gaze: On a CD 10+, the boss will paralyze the player with the lowest hate for a turn before attacking normally. This skill cannot activate alongside <<Tail Swipe>> or <<Hellfire>>.
Vicious Stomp: In the case of a CD 6-9 and LD 10+, the Matriarch will stomp the ground, lowering the entire party’s EVA by 1 for two turns. This effect does not stacked and any further activations will refresh its duration.
Preparation: Every four turns, the boss will attack the player with the highest hate for 100 DMG before flying up in the air, preparing to bombard the players with fire on its next turn. 
Hellfire: After staying in <<Preparation>> for a turn uninterrupted, the boss will breathe out fire on the players, dealing 300 unmitigatable DMG and applying 24 Burn DMG for the next two turns.
Bring Down The House: If the Matriarch is still in <<Preparation>>, players can deal 750 DMG to it to knock it out of the sky. Doing so will prevent it from using <<Hellfire>> and deal an additional 250 unmitigatable DMG to it.
