[F26-PP] Stagnant Pools (Slime Conundrum)

Like a meteorite, Raidou rips forward with that signature electricity rocketing down the blade. One half manages to peel its arms up in a shield, but the other was not nearly as lucky. Catching the full brunt of the swing, it spatters into a puddle of liquid. Slowly crawling back into a congealed form, Raidou still struggled to remain stationary. It was as if the entire world was just slowly moving about on its own, but in actuality it came down to the fact that the very fluid the beast was made up of somehow eliminated friction entirely. A glance on his robe shows that quite a bit of the creature was still lingering in the fibers, and it would be nigh impossible to get out. Then an epiphany, Raidou reaches beneath his shirt and pulls clean a strand of black. "Juiblex, consume him." casting the opposed slime creature to the floor. Fight fire with fire.

Eruda watches the split 2 get beat up to no end. They were trying to fight back but it was no use. Seeing on of the creature begin to eye Freyd, Eruda pulls her shield back and -BINK-... "Well that didn't do much," she says as she pulls her metal up toward her face. Both creatures run at Eruda now, "or maybe it did..." as they clank against Eruda's shield burning their own flesh with a burst of flames that came from her defense. The impact made her health tic down ever so slightly but nothing to really worry about. Even without Eruda doing really connection, they are damn near killing themselves. Eruda could help but smile as she pulls her shield back up for more attacks to soon come. Shifting her feet to get a better grip on the ground, the last thing she needed was to fall on her butt...

Twisting her wrists toward Sam, a sudden influx of energy from the girl leaps toward the raven haired girl. Sam would see her stamina spike, as her tempo started increase so did the girl's speed. All the while, there was both an angelic and yet sinister smile on Shiina's mouth, a strange mix somewhere between the two. The music matched the aura the girl was giving off, an odd distortion somewhere in a mix between genre's that shouldn't work and yet somehow did. There was the faintest hollowed exhale between each pause, like phantoms escaping tombs. There was clearly something off about the abilities Shiina was extruding, but the girl was always weird. This wouldn't be that unheard of to have her have some really obtuse skill.

"Kick its butt, Come on Sam-I-am, get it!" The girl extrudes with her energy seemingly boundless and spreading it to everyone like a damn conduit.

Quick Change Refreshed, Hyperactive Duration [1/3], ID:201691 | Battle:3, Craft:5, Loot:20 (No Proc)

Feeling Shiina's touch she got a surge of energy, but it was apparently way to much for Sam to handle. Sliding at higher speeds than she is use to she passed the creatures with a huge gust of wind... -SLAM- Sam was on the ground holding her head with her eyes closed. "I don't know how you do it Freya. That speed is soo, ouchy," she says in a whinny voice. She could see stars forming around her head. Using the wall to get to her feet she tries to stand still for a moment and wrap her head around what had just happened. She would try harder next time. She could feel that same energy stirring inside of her still and she knew that if she moved that it would trigger again. Sam was not going to move till she was ready this time.  A hand to her head with only one eyes closed now, she watches to see if the others would have better luck hitting these damn things

"Oh... that's just... "  Freyd's eyes widened at seeing the Slime King split in twain and continue its sloppy excuse for an assault, flames spurting all around as mere contact with Eruda set the twin hims alight.  "Alright.  Time to do a thing!"

Memories of orange hair and bitterness flooded into his consciousness - the very essence of futility despair channeling into his endless, barely-contained hunger sitting in his grasp.  Clenching his hands, Freyd deliberately fractured the seal that contained pure void unleashing its destructive energies and the screeching wrath of oblivion.  The thing tried to eat his hands, but still he held.  Flakes of vermillion fell from his fleeting palms, yet he held, empowered by the face of that which had denied its own destruction.

Slamming the butt end of the staff hard into the stone floor wreaked havoc across the battlefield as crack split the mortared slabs like black lightning, racing towards both targets.  They screeched with alien cries as the bolt disintegrated huge chunks of them from below.

Gasping as he released his grip, Freyd watched the seal reassert itself and stared blankly at his open palm, the brilliant orange shards of his digital flesh trying to re-knit itself whole.

"OH THATS JUST WRONG," Freyja watches as her buddy lands on them both with almost weird noise coming from their face. Pulling her Scythe back as she dashes forward between Freyd and the now two separated forms that were on fire trying to get away from the mass murder that was going on. "I am soo done with you," as she pivots her legs, turning and sliding as she raises her weapon up and lops off one of the heads. The remaining one stood behind her as she jumps and turns slicing clean into the stomach area. Watching waiting as she places the hilt of her weapon on her shoulder. The pieces began to merge together and suddenly split four ways in ever direction. "WOW, that is what I call cheating..." Gesturing to Raidou now as she stands there with a grumpy face looking at the time. "Guys we are running out of time," as she pulls her weapon back down preparing herself to slide again.

Ripping his sword up and dragging it against Eruda's shield, he swipes the blue flames from its surface. "I'm borrowing this." Raidou remarks, after some careful analysis of the creature, it was extremely susceptible to fire. A blinding tear and a wave of that blade sees the Monarch recoil in agony, as the flames sear away its flesh into a white mist. His blade twists, as he spins it and casts the fire out. "That should do the trick." With a glance toward the now slowly reforming mob. It had been divided, and there were only a handful of much smaller pieces left. At this rate they'd make the affair, and would be much better prepared for it. "Don't let up, its almost through." What would the frontlines think once they showed up, looking like an alley cat's vomit? Who knew and who cared, it was the most effective method.

Battle Healing +42 HP

Raidou sent fire off his sword using her flames, it was genius. Eruda glides past him on the slippery ground but it apparently was too slick for her liking. She liked the ice much better than this. She managed to hit one really hard though with her new skill that she barely had time to prep for. No wonder she missed the lot of them. Seeing now that it didn't really matter though as all 4 of the slimy creatures head straight for Eruda. Stopping herself on the wall, she turns and pulls her shield up to her face with a small lean forward. Without really looking to see which was hit in what order, she felt barely anything as she realized that the creatures were running a screeching with there arms up as Eruda actually did some of that damage back to them. It would seem that it didn't feel very good... "Good, Just a little longer," as she glanced at everyone's energy pool. They were doing okay for now, but for how much longer...

As the slime splits, Shiina's face lights with a tinge of excitement. "Phantasmal Chorus: Cry of the Ancients" The room basically detonates under the words spoken, as if something was waiting for the command. All four painted rings twist and begin to merge, like an eclipse of the sun. The colors distort, shifting to a notable silverish white. Raising her hands to her chest, her eyes ablaze in light that was not her own. Hair aflutter with the energy oozing out of the ground beneath her. The weapons of her comrades smear in their signature hues, being over driven by the song a little heart was producing. Where some found strength in blades, in spears. Shiina had only one thing: A voice. A silent gaze, a Gemini bestowed skill burning bright in intensity as she remained deadlocked on target. The girl was focused, serious, and it was frightening. The hand of fate had touched her, and she had the strangest ability as a result.

Hyperactive Duration (2/3), ID:201711 | Battle:3, Craft:6, Loot:3 (No Proc)

The entire room shakes in vibration. She was still trying to wrap her head around what little Shiina helped with last time. Hopefully this time would be better. Shaking her head as she starts to glance around, "One, two, three, YOU," as she pushes herself off the wall sliding forward as fast as last time, but this time she was ready for it. She latches her axe to one of the creatures and pulls forward as she yoinks her weapon free, the next targets were not so lucky as she springs forward and swing as hard as she possible could carving into this one's chest, it slips as Sam pulls her weapon away and slides clashing with one of his twins causing a wreckage at the other end of the room. The last one, Sam grins as she forces herself to go faster and rams right into this thing with her axes blade facing forward with both hand tightly around the hilt. The creature grasps for air now and was barely able to before seeing Freya and Freyd at the corner of her right eye.

Witnessing Shiina's spectacular spectacular, Freyd's eyes narrowed with suspicion.  First Freya, then Eruda, now a sudden display of unrecognizable artistry and power stemming from their resident screwball.  It was her expression that truly caught his attention.  Beneath the cowl, wheels turned with suspicion, dots touch dots in a revelatory manner as data congealed and combined to peel back another layer on the onion of destiny, or something. 

A sign and gesture from Sam, who rocked the Slime Kings' many boats simultaneously, shredding the pudding masses into something akin to what a flock of geese might look like after trying to French kiss a jet engine.  Even their giblets were looking nervous.  

The end was near, and he danced through an improvised kata, barely recognizing the intuitive leaps and strides made with devastating efficacy in dismantling this mob in its many parts.  The Whisper's attention remained elsewhere, reading an octave of songs woven into the girl's harmony, including two other distinct chords resonating with other known sources in the room.  A third key to an old puzzle he had never fully forgotten.

When the fray was finish, Freyd dripped in goo and post-consumer gore that the mob hadn't the decency to take with it when its fragments fell to shards.  Turning Freya, every inch of him looking like he'd been swallowed by a jello Michelin man, he nodded towards the last remaining bits of boss.  'Let her have the honour of the kill,' he thought to himself.  'I've found something far more interesting.'

A hard sharp breath as she was beginning to feel her energy draining from her system. She felt weak as she glanced to Freyd. A gesture toward the remaining king. Breathing heavy as she picks herself up and dashes at the creature at full speed knowing and feeling what Shiina had to offer time and time again. She was use to that feeling, as great of a feeling it was though, it always left her feeling completely drained of well everything. It was almost over she kept thinking to herself as she was running as fast as she could, twisting her Scythe with a deep breath as she shifts side ways and slices clean through the thing like but on a hot summer day. Catching herself on the wall, leaning against it with her back sliding down and her ass finds the ground. Glancing at the time, they had like 30 minutes to spare... "I am just going to sit here for a moment..." 

After 10 minutes pass by of everyone taking a small break, the group heads off through the sewers to the Raid Floor Boss meet up point. No time to shower but whatever, they would just have to deal with what they got...
