[F26-PP] Stagnant Pools (Slime Conundrum)

Frowning in response to Freya's scolding, he waved a hand dismissively, trailing long slimy strings in her direction.  The viscous goo clung ferociously to his fingertips, forcing him to wave them around with greater vigor, increasing tempo and exaggeration and splattering everything all around.

"How is it so clingy?!  Hey Raidou, can we use this stuff for something?  Roofing tar?  Pre-melted marshmallows?  Maybe as some sort of binding agent that could be weaponized in some way?  Hey... I wonder if it floats?"  Without thinking, he puts his hand to his face, instantly regretting his thoughtless action.  Raidou floated by an instant later, flat on his back as he drifted across the battlefield.  His glasses followed, spinning separately in the counter direction.  How appropriate.  With a flick of his wrist that would do Spider Man proud, he successfully snared the wayward eyepieces.  Would they end up locked in amber if this stuff ever congealed?  Stuffed into his pockets, he'd find out the hard way.

At least Eruda was on the ball, making a stand against the incoming wave of ooze.  After Cerberus, he knew she could handle herself in a fight - even a sticky situation like this one. Bracing his foot against his arm, he barely managed to pry his right hand from his mouth, scraping the dregs on his sleeve and looking like an absolute mess. He wasn't even sure how he'd remained standing on one very unstable foot.

"Aww, hell with this," he muttered, mostly to motivated himself not to put up with the situation.  An upward leap sent his sailing high into the air, landing with unexpected grace and flattening half of the remaining, incoming slimes.  Flaring his nostrils defiantly, he sneezed out twin streams of green, not his own, for added effect.

Slime Worm
Predator: On an MD 10, <<Slime Worm>> will attack again. This effect cannot occur twice in a row.
Toxic Touch: If an attack roll against a <<Slime Worm>> results in an CD 10+, the player will lose 3 base DMG for the next two turns. This effect does not stack.

Slime Polyp
Toxic: On an MD 9-10, the monster’s attacks will inflict T4 Blight for two turns on their targets.
Acid Spit: In the case of a CD 6+ and MD 9-10, the attack will become an AoE and target the four players with the highest hate.
Unison: If another Slime monster falls, <<Slime Polyp>> will gain +10 DMG for the rest of the battle.

Slime Abomination
Back and Forth: If a <<Slime Abomination>> takes 500 DMG before its next turn, it will attack twice during the following turn.
Strength in Numbers: If any other Slime monsters are alive, every second attack, the <<Slime Abomination>> will instead heal every Slime for its DMG.
Unison: If another Slime monster falls, <<Slime Abomination>> will gain +10 DMG for the rest of the battle.

Note: Antidote should have procced to prevent Freyd from being affected by the first toxic touch.  Rather than revisit every post, I am leaving previous combat results as they were, but removing an extra proc of the buff.

Charge -8 EN (CD 1/3), Using Concentration (1/5), Hyperactive Duration [1/3], ID:201540 | Battle:5, Craft:8, Loot:1 (+4 EN)

Eruda was looking all serious while the other are skating or sliding or smashing goo in there face. In reality she was trying so hard not to laugh but she held it in. She turns her scythe and glances to the remaining slimes. The were not having nearly as much trouble getting around like the others. She began to run at the last of the creatures before -SLAM-... Next thing she knew she was on Freyd against the wall, sitting on the floor, face first against the goop, as the creatures poof and there were noises coming from around the corner down the hall. Freyja sits up and turns to sit on her butt next to Freyd. "Did I do it?" She looks around seeing no other creatures around for at least now. Trying to get back to her feet, she slides and falls back on her ass. "I hate this place..." she says with a poker face...

Concentration (CD 2/5)

Seeing the others struggling to stay on their feet, she stays still so that she wouldn't have that issue. Hearing the noises coming around the corner, a large green thing comes into the room. This was the big this for this quest that they had to fight. It was clear by it's stance and how they presented themselves. Eruda right then pulls up her shield and walks just a bit forward. Glaring at the thing Eruda to bash the thing with no connection, as flames dance around her feet waiting to ignite. The creature's head turns slowly to her. "Come get me," saying as she readjusts her feet in the goop under her feet. She didn't want to face plant the ground like her sister and she knew that if she moved to fast, she would do just that. She was hoping to distract the creature enough to allow everyone to get back on their feet.

Quick Split: On a CD 9+ and LD 10+, the <<Slime King>> will not attack and instead, summon a <<Slime Abomination>> to his aid. A <<Slime Abomination>> can only be summoned once per turn. This skill is deactivated once <<Gelatinous Form>> has activated twice.
Gelatinous Form: Every time the boss’ health reaches 0, two more Kings will spawn, using the next lowest HP available. If a Slime King with the lowest amount of max HP possible dies, he will not spawn any more.

ID:201544 | Battle:6, Craft:5, Loot:10 (No Proc)

Still slowly drifting along the floor, A new fighter appears. This was the monarch, the big cheese of all the walking and hungering gelatin that they'd been fighting and smearing all over the walls. Raising a heavy pair of hands in a massive hammer, Raidou reaches to his side and clutches his sword, which was ice skating. Without hesitation, he lifts the blade up in defense. The boss winds back and drops said hammer toward the slime covered floor.

*Slam*

The cavern rocks, and as he lifts those arms to see its prey. Ground, and a hole as he slowly tracks the movement with a glare. As it turned out, the wanderer continued to slide in a slow creeping. Instead, it was an impressive display of a boss playing the part of shovel as a player just skates the path unscathed under the attack entirely. Time to enter the fun house, where no one could hit anything because someone spilled a whole bunch of mineral oil and everything was like a slip and slide.

Sliding all over the place with elegance, lifting her heels with absolutely no issue getting a round. It was straight up like roller skating, and the girl had some serious skills. Who would have thought that all of her escapades would pay off in a sewer of all places. While the fighters were spending most of their time on backs, Shiina was having a total ball. Right up to Freya, still tracking the girl's energy that was straight up just emptying out damn near constantly. "You need to work out more." Shiina taunts before kneeling low, spraying some slime off to the side like shaved ice. Clapping her hands together, a spark of light between them. "I GIVE YOU POWAH!" The girl screams with a sinister face, before latching those mitts to Freya's breast. The sudden surge of energy causes the blonde to jerk and shake like a defibrillator on someone's chest.

Vanish (CD 1/3), ID:201548 | Battle:2, Craft:7, Loot:20 (Recovers +8 EN)

Seeing everyone fall on their ass or drift around the ground or in Shiina's case, skating. She looks to the new formed dude who was yet to be scratched. It was clear that everyone was really having issues in here. Switching up her weapon as she knew that she would need it if she was not hidden. Gripping her weapon tight, she contemplates on how she was going to move without falling face first too. Taking a deep breath as she was just going to have to take a change. Beginning to move she actually managed to carve her sharp edge against this foe's back bu then had to grab the things slimey garb to catch herself from falling. "Gross, you need a shower..." saying as she regains her footing. The thing slowing looks in her direction, "Hi there," Sam says with a smile as she scurry's her way behind Eruda, having to grip to arm so that she didn't slip. This causes Eruda fall back causing Sam to come down with her. In the end... it didn't matter.

Eyebrows lifted and threatened to pop off his head from sheer proximity to Freya when Shiina's power struck.  Jerking up to his feet, Freyd twitched and snapped his arm to his side, his weapon locking between it and his ribs.  Blue eyes instantly scanned the room and the position of every player on the board.  A grid, superimposed by his mind in three dimensions, granted him perfect attenuated awareness of the entire battlefield.  The boss deconstructed itself beneath his gaze, every weakness laid bare and woefully exposed.  

"Let's see what this thing can really handle."  Clenching his fist around the ward that sealed Samael's Pride, the weapon pulsed, then again, and again, building in power and intensity.  Crackling veins of arctic white intensity spread up his arm, inverting the dark warrior's monochromatic garb from black to white.  Tendrils like wings spread behind him, so brilliantly charged that his features faded to oblivion beneath the cowl, turned white like purest snow.

Unleashed, a beam of light shot out from where Freyd stood, the spear of Heaven striking the Slime King through the core of its mass, searing brilliance scorching clear through the boss, the wall, and even the very fabric of their digital reality beyond.  In its absence, only a void remained - pure counterpoint combined and wielded in the hands of a player.  Freyd faded back to his normal self a moment later, every inch of slime and combustible debris within fifty yards having been vaporized by the sheer output of his will-driven rage.  

Staggering one step to the right, he looked a little punch-drunk from the effort.

"Okay," he said, his expression dazed and eyes struggling to focus.  Turning to Freya, he added: "Your turn."

Charge (CD 2/3), Using Concentration (2/5), Hyperactive Duration [2/3], ID:201552 | Battle:5, Craft:8, Loot:16 (+4 EN)

Seeing a bright light start to illuminate the room, Freyja covers her face with her hands dropping her weapon to the ground beside her. Without watching she hears the creature cry out in pure agony with a huge blast screeching the area around them. Her ears began to pulse and she glancing out between her fingers. She became a bit def by all definition. Removing her hands from her face and blinking her eyes quickly trying to get her eyes to readjust to the lighting. Getting to her feet with the walls help behind her, "How can I strike even when your doing that much damage, what kinda drugs you on..." she says glancing at the things health bar as it just under half gone. "WOW, go Freydo..." as she was saying this all a little to loud but right now she couldn't even hear herself think. Reaching for her weapon, with an attempt the attack again, she falls right back on her ass. "You piece of shit..." as she was consistently trying to get on her feet now and stay up.

Concentration (CD 3/5)

Shielding herself from the bright light, her ears began to ring from the pure blast that was Freyd. Glancing down at Raidou, "It's time to get up," holding her had down to Raidou as she walks toward him. Pulling him up to his feet, "Firm Anima, this creature is no different that what we have fought before. Strike big and precise and we will get through this like we did with that Dragon that we just fought. No matter how hard it may seem, keep going until it's done. I believe in you all." Glancing around the room as some mates where rubbing their eyes as others were having the same ear weirdness as her. They would get through this, she knew they would, Freyd had taken a huge chunk of damage off the total and it was just a matter of time before they did the rest. She would stand strong beside Raidou, it was time to focus on the task at hand. A glare toward the thing that was holding his head himself trying to contemplate what had just transpired.

A sudden aggressive tear toward the paired tanks, sees Raidou pivot with Eruda in tow. What was supposed to be combat ended up looking more like a graceful waltz than anything, spinning and weaving like on a sheet of ice. Staring intensely at the missed blow from the monarch of smells, as they produced a dance that wove easily outside the attack aimed at them both. Clutching the normally stalwart tank around the midsection, his gaze finally finds her. There were no glasses, all that was, was the exchange of a glance between him and the blonde tank. "Sorry." he speaks in a soft tone, allowing his rather deadpan expression to break apart, releasing her waist. His eyes advance to the floor, in a strange mix of excitement and anger. Where was his sword?

Right where he had fell, still slowly worming it's way along without any direction. This was getting ridiculous.

A harsh squeal from Shiina as a super bright light fills the pipe they were flailing around in. "FREYD, BRUH DID YOU JUST FIRE A LASER?" the girl extrudes in an excessive show of excitement. "That was totally wicked!" a weave of her feet, back and forth as she moves about the interior. Eruda and Raidou were dancing, Freya was blind. Man this was going to hell in a handbasket, but who the hell cared because lasers, man. Shoving her way past Sam, she manages to transfer some left over wham wham juice she'd used on the chick into the second chick by entirely accident. As it turned out there was just so much power running through Shiina's mittens that it just kinda smeared on everyone she touched, whoops accidental car jumping. She had to keep a front-row seat near her captain, because lord only knew when she'd be able to see it closer without missing half of it.

Vanish (CD 2/3), Quick Change (CD 1/3), ID:201560 | Battle:4, Craft:5, Loot:6 (No Proc)

Eruda being taking taken from her and Freyd blinding everyone in the room, she decides to swing blindly at where she saw the creature last. Pulling her weapon back as she tries her best to stay of her feet as she feels a connection with something. A swift few quick blinks to see where she was actually, glancing up as she finds herself face to face with the ugly slime looking king with an axe in his chest. A half smile shapes on the side of her face as the creature grabs her hilt. Right then she pushes her weapon in deeper and starts to push this thing backwards, slamming his against the wall as she pulls her weapon out of his chest and scrambles backwards. With a sliding stop she turns to see Eruda with a blush and a smile. Sam raises a brow at Raidou as he was watching his sword drift away from him. This was a very weird day that was going on forever. On the plus side though, she was actually having fun.

Voices spoke to him through the muffled medium of his own pulpy head, still somewhat dazed and ringing in the aftermath of what had just happened.  Someone, possibly Shiina, was waiving a pair of mittens in front of his face, trailing sparkly unicorns and fairy dust in her wake to the tune of carnival music that only he could hear.  Shaking himself out of his reverie, Freyd leapt suddenly high into the air.  His staff followed behind him, tearing up the vaulted masonry as he somehow ran inverted along the smooth surface, propelled by the lingering effects of whatever had powered that last ridiculously potent surge.

Caution thrown completely to the wasted, wafting winds of the sewers, he pushed off and hurtled like a rocket launched at point blank range, colliding with the Slime King with such force that the whole entity was blown completely out of what wishful thinking thought was water.

*SPLAT*

He'd never envisioned an ACME chalk outline for a slime before, but there it was clearly imprinted on the far wall as Freyd landed softly on the ground below.  Blue eyes burned with the same hyper-focused intensity that always followed him into battle, made most apparent when the stakes were at their peak.

"Come on!" he called, rallying the others and readying to give it another rush.

Charge Refreshed, Concentration (3/5), Hyperactive Fades, ID:201569 | Battle:6, Craft:2, Loot:17 (No Proc)

Her ears were still ringing a bit but it didn't matter. This thing had to go down and soon. They were running out of time as she looked at the clock. There was one hour before they had to be at that Raid meeting and with more than half of them going for the first time, it would be very rude to show up late. Finally able to get to her feet, she twists her Scythe to the other side and rushes the damn thing that was further away than she would like it to be. It was cute though watching Eruda and Raidou dance, at least that is what is had looked like, it was clear that Raidou was just trying to move Eruda out of harms way but the way he did it was graceful and cute. Making a slicing connection with a slide against the ground, the wall had to stop her or she would have kept going. Glancing down she finds a sword, Raidou sword. With a smile she sets her foot on it to stop it from drifting away. "Raidou catch," as she pushes her foot forward while on the weapon toward Raidou. It was speeding against the slick ground toward him and Eruda now.

Concentration (CD 4/5)

Her heart was racing a million miles a second as Raidou removes his hand from her waist. To be perfectly honest she didn't want it to end. She knew that he was just trying to move her out of harms way but it was so much more to her than just that alone. He said sorry... A smile toward him with a slight twist of her head, "Don't apologize, it was rather enjoyable." Hearing Freya she glances down quickly and catches the sword with her foot. Picking the hilt up and placing it in Rai's hand, touching his shoulder keeping that smile, "Lets end him together," as she feels a slight pulse, glancing down at her gear, the icons began to glow bright. It was then she realized somehow that this attack would go through. Glancing at the creature with a glare, she skate carefully on the slippery floor, she used her knowledge of skating on the ice with Raidou to keep her footing as she pulls her shield back closing the distance. Upon impact against the things chest, the flames ignite in a large burst of blue fire that stuck to his flesh, burning as he rages out in pain. Turning her head back to Rai with a a smile.

Latching onto the blade being flung into the air, an outstretched right hand that spins it and returns it to a scabbard. "Switch." Raidou quips toward Eruda with a nod, before his hand jumps to another blade docked behind his right shoulder. A violent tear of yellow light, static racing down the length of an edge. The sword in question was virtually weightless, the entire opposite of the other he was just wielding. The king itself rushes for Eruda, finding purchase, but being consumed by the flames of retribution that bleed off the girl. This was where she flourished, as the beast recoils and proceeds to divide itself. Where Raidou excelled at a single large target, the blonde tank was optimized around multiple. A true off tank, being able to handle an army without a second thought. Two halves size the girl up, and now it was time to tussle. How long would the beast last before it divides again, well that is quite an interesting idea isn't it.

A subtle hum, a twist of her wrist and a slight flash of light on her iris. Shiina clutches her fist tightly, a wave of light that compounds the first, the entire team she was a part of see weapons take to that same light. Becoming one with the rhythm produced, and her hair shifts to that platinum blonde. Just enough focus from the girl to see the transition. "Time to lose, sorry excuse for a boss." Shiina snickers, her hair drifting softly as if she was underwater. The intense glow beneath her feet, a colored ring casting a shadow over the top half of her face. Her arms extend, and release, seeing the party surge with newfound power. Those appendages slam together, reaching and clasping toward the newly split hostile force. With a grabbing motion, you can see the thing shutter and twist. "Gotcha!" The songstress extrudes, as it begins to slow down.

Eruda slams her shield against the thing and then not learning the first time it goes in and slams itself against her shield causing the damn thing to split. Smiling, "It's time to rumbo," as she slides across the ground and surpasses one of the splits. Quickly jumps and turning in the air, lands flat on the good still sliding backwards now as she swings her weapon upward towards the side of it's body. This King was taken back by the impact as it stumble sideways holding it's side. Glancing to the girl who was just sliding backwards still, waves at him with a smile painted on her face. Sam eventually hits the wall behind he causing her to stop. Taking a deep breath, she was getting use to this weird excuse of a ground. She was going to start using it to her advantage if she could. Holding herself up with the wall she glancing to Raidou who had a different weapon out now. It was clear on his intention now.

Watching the familiar weapon soar through the air, only to be sheathed and replaced brought a smile to the Whisper's lips.  It marked the passing of a torch that was soon lit to blaze and burned their foes with the same intensity of passion that her gaze set upon the Wanderer who'd stepped gracefully back to grant her centre stage.  Freyd watched them in their locked gaze, reading the ferocious tenderness shared in the midst of battle, and he felt hollow.  Instantly, a shield of metaphorical iron, wrought by years of anguish and self-denial crashed down inside him to lock the distracting void away.  This was neither the time, nor the place.  

Focus on the mob.  Make it die again, and again, and again, and again...

From azure blue to gunmetal grey, his eyes unfeeling fell upon their enemy.  It was an obstacle to be removed by any means.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.  A burst of floating platinum on his right warranted a glance:  Shiina, starlit and partially frozen in time.  Her childish innocence peeled back to reveal a blossoming otherness within.  He wondered whether by accident or design, or perhaps the clash of both?

"Freya.  Sam.  Be ready.  I'm going to carve you an opening."

Dashing towards the farther King, Freyd slid on the slick stones, deliberately, but spreading his legs farther than expected.  An awkward, pained expression on his face prevented the intended strike on the nearer target.  He'd recovered by the time he'd reached the latter target and swizzled the goopy mob around his staff, pivoting at the last moment to catapult the entire blob towards those he'd just warned to be expectant."

Right in the fray with Freydo as he began to slide she skate right past him and does a weird twist like a skater would do on ice. Carving one as it bend down holding it's gut and the other... As she connects the thing slams into the wall like paste falling to the ground bleeding out red data. Freya slides and halts to a stop, turning to see the dude against the wall. She puts a thumbs up toward Freyd with a large grin painted across her face. Eruda was standing there with her shield up and she knew that these next attacks were going toward her. She was not worried about her sister though. Freya knew that Erdua could handle the damage dealt but could also do a good chunk of damage back. Freya was excited to see what would transpire this round of attacks. Glancing to Raidou, "They are all yours," as she does a little moon walk skate backwards.
