It’d been a while since any customers had come in and she was starting to wonder if she was any good at this whole Artisan thing. Placing her head in her hands for a moment Teayre starts to tabs the page with her pencil, gently starting to sketch out the street just outside her shop when her pencil breaks. Retrieving another one Teayre continues where she left off however the page tears rendering the entire piece broken, giving a deep sigh the girl scrunches it up before throwing it into the fireplace listening to the logs crackle and burn. 16/05/2015 Attempt 3 ID: 16094 CD: 3 - 1 Mat, + 1 EXP Quote Report Link to post Share on other sites
Teayre 0 Posted May 16, 2015 Author #22 Report Share Posted May 16, 2015 Settling down onto one of the stools in the backroom, a small scalpel in one hand and the clay in another Teayre begins to craft out the mould for Snake’s pendant that he was after. Cutting away the heads of the snake and turning them over Teayre creates the two snakes inside circling around each other. The snakes faced the same way eating each other’s tails closing is shut Teayre takes a small bit of silver she had melted and pours it in. Leaving it for a few hours to cool down and set she then smashes it open revealing not a necklace but a small coin like trinket, setting a small gem inside it Teayre sighs. Teayre 0 Posted May 17, 2015 Author #23 Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 Taking another batch of clay out from her inventory Teayre sets it on her workbench taking her knife to it she starts cutting slowly trying to cut some small four leaf clovers from it, managing to cut them she looks down and realising that the leaves all had cracks in she quickly splashes some water over it and trying to smooth out the drying clay. Managing to save it for now Teayre pops the clay in the kiln to bake it off and set it, whilst threading beginning to weave some wire together removing the small clay charms from the oven Teayre finds that they are all starting to crumble and fall to pieces as she threads the wire through them sighing. 17/05/2015 Attempt 1 ID: 16203 CD: 5 LD: 12 -1 Mat, + 1 EXP Item: Crumbling Four Leaf Clover Charm Item Type: Lucky Charm Quality: Good Enhancement: None Description Several four leaf clovers threaded onto some wire, each one has been over baked and is crumbling at the edges. Teayre 0 Posted May 17, 2015 Author #24 Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 Taking another bit of clay Teayre decides to make another attempt at the order snake had placed with her, as she cut into the material with her scalpel she cut too deep and the blade stuck out the other side. Dropping the clay is falls onto the ground shattering everywhere, heading over to a nearby cupboard the small red head fishes out a dustpan and brush and starts to sweep the shattered clay up watching it helplessly as the shards dissipate. Laughing at the irony of what happened she smiles and begins talking to herself “Huh… It’s not the same without Beleram… I’ve got no one to distract me from this liitle nusicances… Perhaps I should get another familiar… perhaps a snake… Yeah… Think I’ll do that.†Hopping off her chair Teayre heads off out of the store her fully equipped a glint in her eyes. 17/05/2015 Attempt 2 ID: 16205 CD: 2 -1 Mat, + 1 EXP Quote Report Link to post Share on other sites
Teayre 0 Posted May 17, 2015 Author #25 Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 Taking another piece of clay Teayre starts shaping it and working it first rolling it out into a sausage shape and then bending it into a horseshoe. Taking her knife she starts to cut out various parts of the clay to allow for the key defining features of the item. Popping it into the kiln Teayre leans back as she waits for it to finish cooking, taking the item out she looks it over before making one last hole so that it could be attached to a bracelet should the owner want it to. Teayre 0 Posted May 17, 2015 Author #26 Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 Teayre set up the clay again and starts to slowly mould the piece into two separate parts, taking her tools she begins to shape the inside of the clay to make the two dragons facing opposite directions. Placing them back together when she seals it setting it down she heats up some silver melting it and gently pours it into the hole in the top of the crucible. Once it cools down Teayre opens it up, finding everything in there was shattered into tiny crystals. Leaving it to set Teayre heads over to her kiln and taking a crucible she begins to melt some silver, once the silver is bubbling she pours it into the cast. Whilst waiting the small red head smiles heading into the front room she tidies up a bit, with all that had happened in the last few days it had become quite a dump. As she began to start on some small silver links, her eyes widened as she grabbed the clay calling to an eagle she thought she was there before breaking into tears. “Beleram, I’ve just had an idea for Zaz… Let’s see…. If I do- Beleram’s not here... Dangit Teayre you need to remember he’s gone…†Taking her scalpel she begins to slowly cut a star out of the clay throwing it into the kiln before heading back to work on some more silver links. Wiping her eyes on the back of her sleeve Teayre snivels as she grabs the star from the oven taking some paint and glazing it blue before returning it there. After a short time everything was ready and carefully threading the star onto the chain with one of the free links she had she placed the item in the evaluation bin. Smiling to herself Teayre blushes as she thinks about all that has happened since then. “I wish he could see this… I reckon he’d like it, hmmm It needs some paint though.†Taking the paints she had stashed away she realises that she only has blue, white and black left sighing to herself she begins to mix them together to allow her to blue tone the picture. As she almost finishes the picture her arm catches the bottle of white paint. Her jaw dropping as she watches the bottle fall in the slow motions her hand darting for it but all too slowly. The paint had landed on the picture and sprayed over it leaving a white specs all over the lower half of the painting. Taking her sketch bad she roughly draws a small crown out, that looks more like a head band with two short curved horns protruding from the front. Take the gold over to the kiln Teayre sets it in there on a relatively low heat starting to soften the metal up. Meanwhile she begins to craft another mould out. Gently curving the band she adds two small holes at the thinner ends. By the time this was complete she took the gold and poured it into the cast. Waiting for it to set Teayre opens it to find the item inside it complete. Placing it in the evaluation cabinet she leans back humming to herself. Her hand tightens around the hilt of her katana as she watches him scrawl a hasty note. As she squints back down at the wire construct she realises a small sword has formed in her hands. The coloured wires took went into a small tip as the hilt came into a tiny eagles head, the red and white colours of the sword creating an almost blood like effect. Item: Dripping Wire Sword Item Type: Lucky Charm Quality: Uncommon Enhancement: +1 ACC Description: A small mesh of red and white wires weaved together in the shape of a sword, the hilt has an eagles head cresting it. However instead of doing that Teayre manages to paint the entire shield black, cursing she adds in a couple of points where the swords were meant to cross behind it before sticking it up on the wall behind her. Gently prodding it Teayre starts to shape the softened metal without melting it. Elongating the material Teayre takes a small scalpel and starts to chip away at the metal a small snake emerging from within the confines of the material. As the light hit it and Teayre moved her head slightly it appeared to slither up her hand placing a small leather strip through it she places it in her evaluation bin. Taking the small bit of sand she had lets Teayre starts to heat it up slowly bubbling it and heating it in the kiln, throwing in various powders as it starts to become molten. Quickly sculpting the glass cutting away unnecessary parts Teayre forms a small llama from it. Allowing it to cool she sees the body has become a mirage of colours. Item: Here’s a Llama? Beginning to shape the clay Teayre gently teases the edges out shaping it like a star with crinkled edges. Smiling to herself Teayre begins to paint the clay a bright yellow with flecks of orange specking the thing. Placing it in the kiln Teayre waits for it to bake her eyes drooping. The blacksmith herself was wielding a smaller hammer and bringing it down hard onto a bar she’d just pulled out of the flames. Poking her tongue out Teayre carefully draws in the features of the blacksmith getting her blue bangs just right. She smiles as looking back at her is a picture of Meokka. Placing the item in her evaluation bin she begins on her next piece. Item: Forge Work Item Type: Miniature Mastpiece Quality: Perfect Enhancement: +1 Crafting Attempt Description: A picture of Meokka working in a smithy. The flames of the forge are white hot as the woman brings her hammer down hard onto the ingot she’s working from causing sparks to fly up over her shoulder. Teayre 0 Posted May 20, 2015 Author #39 Report Share Posted May 20, 2015 20/05/2015 Attempt 3 ID: 16592 CD: 10 Taking the clay from her inventory Teayre begins another attempt at the pie like star she had tried earlier managing to get a small start on it Teayre begins to paint it bit by bit, the oranges, the reds and the yellows all mixing to create that sun rise sonata of colour. Smiling with herself Teayre puts it in the kiln. Quickly fixing herself a coffee she takes a good long drink of it before heading back to the kiln and removing the item from there. It had been completed with no issues, whilst it wasn’t quite a perfect item it was still quite an uncommon one. Placing it in her evaluation bin Teayre smiled to herself. Item: Sunrise Star Item Type: Miniature Masterpiece Quality: Uncommon Enhancement: +1 LD Description: A small star that has all the colours of a sunrise and sunset mixed into it creating an ever flowing day in the one piece. It was horrible as every Artisan he visited so far was closed down. At least this one was open. The fire place was roaring and everything had a comfy feel to it. Skylar walked towards the only other person in the room a young lady sitting in an armchair. “I’m… I’m sorry what can I do for you?†She said when she noticed him there. Skylar grabbed an order form and started filling it out. "Sorry my name is Skylar and I have been looking for an Artisan." Skylar completed the order form before handing it back. "If possible just message me when they are ready. Sorry to seem impatient but I have to go!" Before the artisan can say another word Skylar already left the shop.
