  1. Now that Yuki had gotten her feet wet once more she was ready to start clearing some of these quests that she'd not gotten to since her hiatus. When Morningstar -- her new guild leader -- sent her a message letting her know that he was looking for some able bodies on a quest she jumped on the offer. She was there practically within minutes but even still so many others had already beaten her there. Either they were that much faster than her, or they were already hanging around. She recognized practically every face here and was confident this stupid not-so-little crustacean was going t
  2. The paladin would quickly pour Mari a cup of tea and deliver it to her. It wasn't a special brew or anything. Despite being a gourmet, she tended to enjoy the simple tastes more than the invasive and odd ones many in her craft her attempted. She would set it carefully on the kotatsu in front of Mari and head back to her cooking station where the final touches to the food came along while they continued the chat. "I'm too excitable and headstrong, Cro is a free spirit that I refuse to lock in a cage. We both always end up back to each other once in awhile and those moments are always better whe
  3. The paladin rushed quickly along the sand to get the boss to turn away from the group. A tactic that just made it easier for everyone. If the boss had a surprise cleave then no one but her got caught in it by accident and they didn't have to take the scenic route to stay out of his vision. His vision was now solely pink! That blade would find purchase on the paladin's shield -- which happened to be her left-handed gauntlet -- and stopped quicker than a car crashing into a steel wall. The smile faded quickly from the tank's face as she saw her health bar, which just as quickly jumped to 10
  4. In her nervous ranting Mari, would soon get her to stop and assure the pink-ette that she was here because she wanted to be. The paladin would let out a relieving sigh and take a deep breath while she focused on finishing her food preparations. She would portion each plate carefully, including a larger bowl with more if such was necessary. The comment of Mari's whereabouts would slip right through the airhead's ears for a moment, the request for a drink was more important than that information. "Of course, how rude of me to not offer you a drink. Which do you prefer?" Yuki would listen for a r
  5. The short message from Mari instantly made her even more nervous. Her tendency to overthink things was match only by the sheer confidence she had in how impervious her armor made her. With a guest now coming over, and soon, Yuki was now pressed for time. She would immediately head to her kitchen and get started with cooking something simple: Karaage and rice with a side salad. Amidst the panic to get something ready before her company showed up, a knock on the door would catch her ear despite the two walls between her and her front door. Mari would hear a couple of hurried footsteps befor
  6. The boss battle was slowly encroaching on the front-liners. Yuki was simply waiting for the call. However, some small talk with Baldur had revealed that a person she once leveled with in her early days was back from a sort of hiatus, or at least she had not had the chance to speak with them in years now. Her eyes were locked on the menu in front of her with their profile pulled up: Mari. After some time pondering if she would even give Yuki the time of day -- not that she thought she hated her -- she decided to start typing up a message. "aaaand seeeend." Her nerves were setting i
  7. Yuki stepped on to the beach to meet with her party just moments before Belregor rose from the waters like he was doing his best Lochness Monster impersonation. The grin on her face was one that might be out of place if it was worn by anyone but her. She listened to Mina's impassioned speech, reminiscent of the speech she would give to people who partied with her for leveling. "The boss will have to go through two titanium walls if it wants to kill one of you. Play it safe and stay out of the way of the one with the most aggro on the boss to reduce any avoidable cleaves hitting you. Other than
  8. The paladin would nod in agreement with Ciela about the food, taking the portion of food that she allocated for Yuki. "Oh, I agree. I'm actually working on a culinary major in university outside of Aincrad. I do a lot of practice to keep up with it here." The paladin would reach into her pocket and pass the knightess a roll of sushi, wrapped so aesthetically pleasing it could make one's mouth water. If Ciela took a moment to taste it, it would be extremely spicy but have a very pleasant aftertaste. "So Ciela and Wulfrin... Oh! I forgot -- My name is Yuki, sorry I almost forgot!" When Yuki
  9. The paladin yawned heavily as she received the late night message. Couldn't they ever decide to message all the frontliners at noon or something? Oh well, her duty called. Time to keep all those frontliners alive. She was sure they could handle themselves without her but having more bodies, especially those who specialize a tank definitely wouldn't hurt. So the Paladin showed up at the assigned meet spot at the allocated time. Some people had beaten here there. A few who were in her party too. Of course Freyd was already here, he was in her party this time as her off-tank. He brought with
  10. The paladin sheathed her lance once the fight was basically over. Between her armor melting any enemy in a five meter radius and NIGHT’s sword destroying them from the inside out they stood no chance. Night’s comment had brought the thoughts to her mind. It wasn’t something she really considered while they rushed their way through the game. “I guess. The Shadow created a lot of chaos for almost everyone in Aincrad. Maybe it was totally on purpose too. Y’know, since it was like the one-fourth mark of the game or something.” The best she could do was speculate off the top of her head. Her

  16. The shark was indeed bearing down on her now. It had abandoned it's defense for an all out assault on Yuki to the point that even she was starting to feel just the slightest bit of nerves welling up. Just as much as Acanthus was having trouble landing hit, she herself was having an agonizing problem against the luck of the shark today. It raised from the sand sideways and grabbed Yuki around the stomach with its sharp jaws. "GAH--!" Screamed the pinkette as she was brought down into the sand with her enemy. Several seconds pass by without any indication of their return. Firefly herself wa
  17. A couple of misses, a couple of hits and a howl later, Yuki was ready to show Terra Firma why she was this things worst nightmare. It turned to her and faced her, squaring up it's meal before sinking into the sand with only the thing's dorsal fin in the groups view. "I love this part. Every time you think you're getting the upper hand, I'm ahead of you." The sand shark was deaf, she knew that. It used vibration through the sand to track targets while submerged. In her free hand, she summoned one of her throw-away meals she keeps in case she gets hungry. No benefits of anything. It soared throu
  18. With the damage in their group Yuki found herself with nothing important to do. Hell, she could have not been here and the outcome would have been the same. That did not discourage her, though, as the only thing that mattered to her was limiting casualties. Several waves of enemies were dispersing away from the group and the others separated to help other groups of people who were fighting. Yuki had decided her ideal course of action though. “You guys help kill those big knights, I’m going to coral the smaller guys and keep them contained!” With her goal set she was about to head out befo
  19. Yuki stood her from her seat on the ground and observed the group before her. Acanthus had shown up, though it had been some time since the two last saw each other. The last time the two had seen each other was probably during the last boss fight? Yuki couldn't always remember, she was always doing something. "Good to see you again, glad you haven't forgotten that name. Also, no problem, bring anyone who wants to come. I have solo’d this boss more than a dozen times." She inspected the other two: A girl, a member of the guild she had just joined. Unfortunately, she did not know her very w
  20. How many times did she have to teach the mutated land shark this lesson? This quest monster had seen the best of the pink paladin, more-so than any other mob in the entire game. Half time it had felt like she spent more time in this sandy waste than she had with Crozeph. In any case, Yuki would sit quietly near the quest giver in Fortaleza the meet-up spot she had set for the group. She had done her usual of inviting any random players to join her on a quest that boasted no difficulty for tag along players so long as she could keep aggro on the boss. Of course the boss she had to relentle
